### Key Claims

- [HIGH] Pinside is described as 'full of trash garbage' but a viable forum for finding cheap used pinball machines from collectors — _Jack Danger responds to chat question about finding used machines; also recommends Craigslist, auctions, and Facebook networking_
- [HIGH] The Lord of the Rings pinball was intentionally set up as hard as possible at Dead Flip studio because 'that game does not want you to stop playing it' — _Jack Danger discusses why LOTR was configured with maximum difficulty settings_
- [HIGH] Iron Man pinball was chosen for a children's hospital donation because the kid being honored specifically requested it, and designer John Borg attended the dedication — _Jack recounts attending the Project Pinball Iron Man machine dedication at a children's hospital_
- [HIGH] Striker the dog was the mascot for the 1994 World Cup (referenced as 'Air Bud') — _Jack discusses the 1994 World Cup mascot in context of the game's theme_

## Transcript

Oh baby. Oh baby. I think I fixed it. I think I got it. I did fix the damn internet. The friggin' internet. Batman only drinks MGD. Um, can you folks see and hear me? Can you hear me? Can you see me? Bioshock, thanks for the follow. I love you. No, Jack, we did not hear you. The scarecrow killed the internet. Yeah. You know, Batman having the enemies that he has, it really, me being Batman, obviously, really impacts the internet quality over at the Dead Club headquarters here because, you know, Jack Danger is my hero. And it is what it is. Batter. Hey, Jack, have you ever played Baywatch pinball? What about Police Force? My grandparents have both. I was practically born and raised on those. Hello from another Chicagoan. Silly Gosling, yeah man, they have a Baywatch and they have a police force if you go to the Emporium Bar on Milwaukee in Logan Square here in Chicago they have both of those games there they're fun I took a lozenge now my voice isn't deep anymore I had a throat lozenge. One forest, one. That's beautiful. I don't think there is a Dragon Ball pinball machine, no. Where are all your viewers? They're probably sleeping, man. Most of my viewers are from overseas, and when I go live, it's like one or two in the morning. There. They flipped out. There you go. Crap. Crap. Mega one. What are we reading here? Goal. pinball if you're still here that's all that matters shirts church filming at the slapstick Pinball Life, I know for a fact that most of our viewers are from overseas, for sure. Absolutely. Two priests are driving... Oh man, someone else had... I wish someone could read that to me because I can't read all that right now. Oh, give me a break. Funky, funky. Out of bounds. You're out of bounds. Sailor. Well, I came back after the follow craziness happened. Nailed it. Welcome to the castle. Sheeee- Okay, drop catch. Put it away. Why do you hate me? I'm back! Whoa, we have the Dark Knight playing now. AWD. Don't let me catch you crossing the street not at a crosswalk. I'll get you. Ooh, pinball life. Uh, hang on to your taxi, dude. Hang on to your taxi. Getaway's fun, but taxi's, like, hard, man. And hard games have longer playability. Hey, it's a mask. You know, we're looking for two pedophiles. Um, yeah. Yeah. Alright, get it up! Oh crap, oh crap, oh crap! Yes! NOPE! You frickin' turd! Yeah, exactly, uh, pinball life. High speeds is kinda... it's fun to play once or twice, man, but it's not... It's not worth trading a frickin' taxi for, man. What's the tactic for this machine? Uh, okay. Well I guess now that there isn't like crazy follower hype, I will let you guys know. So my first approach is, number one, if that goalie's moving, shoot for him. That's good money. Number two, what you want to do is there's a soccer ball here in the middle with five words that start with S. So you've got stamina, skill, spirit, speed, and strength. And you light all these up by hitting these flashing shots here. Once you hit all five of those shots the ball is full and glowing and these ramps light up with lock shots You just need to make one lock shot and then it going to give you another ball in the plunger You'll plunge that and you're trying to get it into the scoop here for final draw. When you do that it starts your multiball. What you do in multiball is the goalie will be moving, you've got to get a ball past him, that's your jackpot. Then you have to shoot a ramp to relight the jackpot and then get it past the goalie again. Just rinse and repeat. Do that over and over and over again. That is my approach for trying to beat somebody. Honestly, that should just be anyone's approach, really. Just try to keep getting multiball and blowing the crap out of the jackpots there. I wanted his whirlwind, but he's selling it now. Whirlwind's fun too, man. Whirlwind's a lot of fun. Strike. Fucking good! Or drain like a freaking moron. My life is over. Beat for you. Beat for you. Hopefully that explained it. Thanks for the follow, buddy. Thanks, beat. Beat. I got a beat for you. Ho, ho, you're back. I got a beat for you. My buddy is looking for a Whirlwind. Hasn't been able to play one yet, though. Ah, Buckwheat. Whirlwind is the business, man. It's awesome. Get... what the frick are you doing, ball? Yeah, that isn't what you're supposed to be doing. Uh, DMAT, a good place to find pinball machines that are used are either on Craigslist or Pinside? Pinside is full of a lot of trash garbage, but it's a forum for pinball people. But it is full of crap. But you can find really good prices on pinball machines there from collectors. Like I said, Craigslist is your second best option. Or you could try to find local auctions in your area. like if a arcade or a bar goes under and they have to sell all the equipment off you can get a pinball machine that's in really nice condition for like not a lot of money we got Diner off with Facebook, hell yeah it's all about networking guys if you want to find a machine that isn't crap you gotta network what, you're Adam's family off of Craigslist? yep, there you go Craigslist actually is a pretty good way to go, because, um, you... A, you might find somebody that doesn't know anything about pinball and score a really nice machine for no money. Uh, you can find parts and stuff like that. Yeah. Cash is king, there you go. Hey Jack, if you don't mind, could you please talk about Extra Life? Oh, of course. so uh folks here on the stream what we like to encourage is um a sense of like it's not quite a swear jar but if you're on the show and you swear we like to say donate to kids as a bit of a cover up for that and what oh god my face is sweaty and um what we do is we there's a lot of pinball charities and a lot of children's charities uh that Twitch supports and Extra Life which I have a link below for you folks to donate Extra Life is a charity for children in hospitals kids need your help and you guys should give them all your money because they need every single dime of it there's also charities like Pinball Outreach Project and Project Pinball that work on putting pinball machines in children's hospitals so that they have something to do while they're in there during treatment and stuff like that. It sucks for them. But you gotta support the kids, man. Because kids need your love and your money and all that fun stuff. Do it. Do it all. I was actually just at a children's hospital with Project Pinball when they dedicated an Iron Man machine to the hospital. It was super awesome. Super, super awesome. I need to go stream there sometime with those kids. Show them what's up. Uh, yeah, Demented Project Pinball is coming here. In fact, the guy who runs Project Pinball will be on our stream. Just chewing the fat and shooting the shit. Donate to kids. And it's going to be fun. It's going to be fun. I got all the control, dog. Dougie. Okay, Lone Goat. Precisely. I was like, of all the machines you're going to put in a children's hospital, you're going to put in Iron Man, a game that pisses every single pinball player off on the face of the earth. It's so hard. Whew. Yeah, it's – Iron Man was a weird choice. But the kid that they donated the machine in honor of requested an Iron Man. And John Borg, the designer, was there, and he, like, autographed the play field and stuff. It was super rad. Mega, you're awesome, dude. Thank you so much for coming. I'm glad you found the stream, and I hope you're digging it. Hope you're digging it. Tomorrow, tomorrow, who are our guests tomorrow? There's a couple of people coming tomorrow. I forget who, though. I keep meaning to write their names down and I don't but tomorrow's gonna be a fun one I gotta buy some beer cause I am fresh out fresh out of the beer kids yeah work has been like crazy stupid slow recently and it's been nice to just sort of come here and clear my head, play some pinball, go friend on the internet it definitely helps extra surprises for you tomorrow Jack what's that mean you got your views back I don't have any views also I looked away and it drained like a chunk chaos exactly listen kids you gotta get better or we're gonna make you play Iron Man now that they have the machine over there like I said I have a mobile streaming rig so that I can go to bars and stuff and stream. I really want to go out there to the hospital and put those kids on the internet and, you know, beat their butts, but still put them on the internet. Or let them win, I don't know. Actually, I probably don't even need to let them win. They would just, like, wreck me. Kids have those reflexes. Oh yeah, Daddy Simpson's is not a denouement. That's a curse. Please, calm. Gotcha. Gotcha, sucker. Get up there. Come on, Dad. Come on, Dad. Stop. Stop. Stop. Oh my God. That was my fault. I'm playing like a ding-dong. The gulps. Why was Eric dog gulping tea? Because the mascot for the World Cup back in 1994 was this guy. That Striker Striker You want to beat kids on the internet? Well, yes. I do. Dude, it's Air Bud. Yeah, Air Bud was the mascot for soccer in 94. I'm guessing. I can only assume. Striker the dog is a national treasure. Oh, God. Striker Extreme. That pinball machine was poop. That game was terrible, man. That was... You know what? When I first got into pinball, that might have been one of the first pinball machines I played and was like, if this is pinball, this is trash and I don't ever want to play pinball again. But then when we got a... The first pinball machine we got here in the studio was a Lord of the Rings. And that game sort of changed my mind. Once I got better at pinball, I didn't want to play Lord of the Rings anymore because that game takes four freaking ever to play. It's such a long play. It's nuts. And then we got a Judge Dredd shortly after that. And then we got Twilight Zone after that. And the rest is history. Or herstory, or whatever you want to call it. Man, what am I doing? I need beer. Hate Lord of the Rings? It's just long, man. It's a long, long play. It is tough. You know, AWD, I encourage you to go find a Lord of the Rings. It's interesting. We had to set that game up as hard as possible because that game does not want you to stop playing it. Three hour movie, three hour pin Precisely They nailed it They're like We want people to have the same experience they have in the theaters You know, you really have to go to the bathroom But you don't want to miss something important So you wear your huggies To the pinball tournament Because your ball won't freaking drain It's a breakaway Remember me? You said my name five times fast. And you... I remember you, Tinosaur. Tinosaur? Tinosaur. Drunk Danger. That darn chat. Are you going to come get me? I need beer and sustenance. I need beer and sustenance And a ride home My motorcycle's getting picked up tomorrow To have the throttle cable replaced Because it snapped on me In the middle of a trip to the suburbs Oh, I need a beer assistant 66 You, dude, killing it Beer assistant Can't come get you, busy? Boo. Trivia night? Oh, I gotta go play trivia, internet. Maybe I'll periscope some trivia for you. Does that sound boring? Probably. It's just gonna be me, super wasted, screaming the wrong answer over and over again. I just like to make... I like to respond with Whoopi Goldberg as the answer for everything, unless the answer is Whoopi Goldberg, in which case you say Sister Act. Or Sister Act 2, Back in the Habit. Here we go. Stream it, that would make one hell of a show. Yeah, because I'm Periscope, you can stream whatever. I'll take my freaking pants off, doesn't matter. matter at that point sister active whoopee in fact that darn chat and i were at trivia last week and we made our team name called uh our team name was actually called whoopee goldberg and sister act and legit no freaking joke the third question of the night the answer was whoopee Goldberg and Sister Act. No freaking joke. And a huge coincidence. The dude was actually sort of floored that our name was Whoopi Goldberg and Sister Act. Why am I missing this shot so freaking much? Look at this. Look at this. Where is the... My good Grandma Lily always said, beer ain't nothing but a big heaping help and a Satan semen. What the fudge? Jack, when are you leaving? Need a trivia partner. You know what, Internet? I think I got one more game in me, and then I have to roll out. Roll out. So let's try to make this one count, huh? Okay. Okay, hold on, hold on, hold on. Hold on. Just hold your freaking horses. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on, hold on, hold on. No, don't go! Guys, the internet. Listen, when I can make streaming my full-time job, then I'll stream all freaking day. I'll have the world's worst posture from leaning over a pinball machine all day. But I do have to make a living other ways as well. Unless you can convince all of your parents and grandparents and cousins and uncles to subscribe and throw money at their computer screens, I cannot stream forever. The real life needs my energy. I need to go make out with people. There are, you know... I'm going to go try to see if I can figure out how to get people to subscribe in real life and donate in real life. Just walk up to somebody and have a really good time conversation with them and just hold out my hand and see if they want to put some cash in my hand. Give me Indiana Jones for that price, yeah. You can't leave until you say my name 15 times fast. I don't know if I can do that. Why have we not paid this Shavia, guys? Yeah. I'd love to. I gotta keep this studio I'm in open, guys. This big old place don't pay for itself. If you haven't seen... Go look at past broadcasts. Because we move the stream around a lot inside the studio. Go look at the broadcasts where we're in the back room back there. It's beautiful. The place is huge. The place is freaking humongous. Put the machine on black so you don't have to bend over. So I'm just playing like this. I wonder. I wonder. How would that look? Because right now I'm like, oh, pinball. It's so. Hold on. Let's get a view of my hands here playing so you can better see what's going on. I do not have a Kickstarter or a GoFundMe That might be interesting though Or like a Patreon or something Is that sort of the same thing? Patreon? Get the frick out of there! Donate to kids! That. That's what I need. Where is this? That's all you gotta do. Line it up. Do you like Batman Arkham Knight? I've been watching people play Batman Arkham Knight, and it's interesting. I couldn't figure out why Joker kept showing up all the time, though, but I think it had something to do with the Scarecrow's fear gas or some crap like that. I love the Scarecrow, man. I think he's such a cool villain. Why did I do this? You really want that Simpsons Daddy East, huh? Your opponent, Holland! I can't believe it went in. Yep, yep, that's what he said. That's what he said. Oh, come on, dude. Magic. Bath is kind of going baths. Yeah. Batty. The kiss stream the other night bored you to death? Well, here's the thing, folks. It's really hard to stream pinball and re-chat at the same time. And then when there's a tournament going on, it's extra hard. But the people that are streaming pinball on Twitch right now, they don't know Twitch that well. So they don't understand that in order to keep an audience, you have to interact with everybody. So they're just streaming pinball. That's all they're doing. That's like if I was to stream Minecraft and I was just streaming Minecraft and not talking and you didn't see my face and that's all it was. It's not compelling. It's not compelling. But people are learning. They're getting there. We'll figure it out. You need an extra screen. What is your job? Tinasaur, I am an animator by trade. I am an animator. I am a man-imator. A man-animator. I animate mans. the flipper didn't drop fast enough to do my little pass come on ball three let's get nine billion oh crap oh crap crap crap crap really show them the awesome twitch animation oh yeah Check that out, kids. I animated that. That is the Twitch logo turning into a pinball machine. I'll play one more game. That is the shat. The shat? Oh, that sounds disgusting. So pro. Please. Oh, I love you. Put it back. That darn chat. I'm leaving in a moment. I'm just finishing up this virgin garbage. Anime Twitch logo versus Jack Danger. Jack Danger. Alright guys I think I think I think my My body's like Giving up I'm just flipping at everything now Swift Come back down Yes This is called a bounce pass, where you don't flip, you just let it bounce off the flipper. Watch. Right there. That's a bounce pass. That's called a drain because you're an idiot. Outside of streaming, your girlfriend can tell what you're doing. What are those other pinball games behind you? So, next to me is a Data E. Simpsons, a Metallica... You know what? I'll turn the camera to show you guys. We have a Twilight Zone. Uh, Gottlieb Hotshot, a Stern Walking Dead, and a Bally Radical, and then behind that door, there's actually three or four more pinball machines. We have a Bram Stoker's Dracula. Super, super fun game. If you could find a Bram Stoker's Dracula, play it immediately. That game is so fun! I didn't end up going to the tournament, unfortunately. Because I'm a ding-dong. Um, Internet, thank you so much for coming. I love you guys. Holy crap. Thank you for the donations, the subscriptions, and the follows. The follows were out of control today. Yeah, we... This is pretty much pinball heaven. Here, let me show you. We got... That's World Cup. That's Simpsons right there. Hold on, let me turn this light off. Simpsons right there. We got Metallica and Twilight Zone over there. World Cup. And out that door is a few more. Thank you so much for coming, guys. I love you so much I couldn't do this without you I hope you come back I hope you enjoyed what you saw Tomorrow is going to be another crazy hectic day Because we're going to be on the homepage again It's out of control Twitch is taking such good care of us And I can't thank them enough And I can't thank you guys enough It's totally amazing You know Holy crap Come play pinball Come to the studio And battle me And we'll have fun And hold hands and drink soda. Or beer. Beer's fun too. Remember when 100 points was the high... $1 from Mega says, just had to get one more in. Stay awesome, bro. You got big things coming in the near future. Dude, Mega, I love you, dude. Thank you so much for your support. This is amazing. Other than that, folks, Jack Danger out. Go play some pinball. I love you. Good night. Have a wonderful evening and I'll see you tomorrow. 5 p.m. Central Standard Time. A good night. Oh, to have voice. To the Batmobile. The next Deadflip tournament will be in a month or so. Maybe two months. Deadflip. Deadflip forever I love you guys I love you so much You're so great Have a good night Drive safe Go eat a salad See ya
