- **Secondary:** Comic-Con 2023 announcements and timing, Big Bang Bar remake speculation and market viability, Ghostbusters vault possibility and Spike 1 remake logistics

### Sentiment

**Mixed** (0.55) — Hosts are skeptical and cautious about most rumors, frequently distinguishing between speculation and claimed insider knowledge. Some optimism about specific licenses (Matrix, Jaws, Twilight Zone) balanced by cynicism about market viability and remake fatigue. Comedic tone deflates tension but underlying uncertainty dominates.

### Signals

- **[machine_intel]** Dennis Creasel separates Matrix rumor into two categories: (1) confirmed attainable license with active pursuit, (2) unconfirmed JJP vs Stern manufacturer assignment (confidence: high) — Dennis explicitly states 'That's actual information' about Matrix being attainable and having pursuers; credits this as exclusive member knowledge
- **[product_strategy]** Indiana Jones likely receiving remake treatment by Stern with layout preservation and code changes, rather than entirely new game; compares to Sam remake strategy (confidence: medium) — Dennis states he heard this from reliable non-primary source a year or two ago; previously tried to communicate cryptically about this strategy
- **[machine_intel]** Randy Martinez artwork post on social media hints at major project with novel art techniques releasing next year; Nap Arcade interprets as Jaws confirmation (confidence: medium) — Randy Martinez quote: 'we are doing something that has never been done before' on art; Nap connects to Jaws rumor with Keith Elwin and Randy Martinez collaboration
- **[event_signal]** Stern's next Cornerstone title rumored to be playable at San Diego Comic-Con July 20-23; timing suggests imminent announcement (confidence: medium) — Orange County Pinball (Stern dealership) sent email notification per Nap Arcade; previously mentioned in main episode; occurs before typical Stern announcement timing
- **[industry_signal]** CGC purportedly wants to exit remake business entirely; contrary evidence suggests ongoing remake focus (confidence: low) — Dennis mentions hearing rumor about CGC exiting remakes but expresses disbelief in this claim; speculates overseas companies may fill void
- **[sentiment_shift]** Hosts debate Matrix license quality; one host argues it's top-tier license (Back to the Future level), other dismisses as poor choice; unresolved disagreement (confidence: high) — One host: 'The Matrix...is one of the greatest licenses'; other: 'it's the most fucking ridiculous thing I've ever...'; neither convinced the other
- **[product_concern]** Jaws licensing historically blocked from pinball due to asset/rights complexity; current rumor suggests workaround through Jaws 3 assets (confidence: medium) — Dennis: 'the problem is none of the actors in the first two Jaws movies...are in 3'; Nap suggests Jaws 3 asset workaround; describes Jaws as 'deeply popular' but rights-constrained
- **[rumor_hype]** Multiple major IP licenses being rumored across manufacturers simultaneously (Matrix, Jaws, Indiana Jones, John Wick, Monty Python, Venom, Ghostbusters vault) (confidence: high) — Episode structure focused entirely on rumor compilation; Dennis acknowledges pattern of multiple rumors circulating and difficulty distinguishing signal from noise
- **[design_philosophy]** Stern strategy on Indiana Jones appears to be preserving proven layout while updating code/rules; differs from full redesign or full preservation approach (confidence: medium) — Dennis explains as 'Sam remake' strategy applied to Indiana Jones; keeps 'basic elements of that layout but change some of the coding'
- **[community_signal]** Hosts distinguish between reliable non-primary sources, primary sources, random Reddit speculation, and social media hints; express skepticism about Reddit sourcing (confidence: high) — Dennis repeatedly qualifies sources as 'from a source that I would not consider a primary source but one that has been reliable'; expresses disdain for Reddit as source: 'I don't put stock in much of anything that appears there'
- **[manufacturing_signal]** Stern/manufacturers may be under licensing obligation pressure to announce/produce titles in specific timeframes; Comic-Con timing suggests this (confidence: low) — Hosts speculate Comic-Con reveal timing may indicate licensing obligations that were made in past (James Bond issues referenced); implies production pressure
- **[analyst_confidence_calibration]** Dennis acknowledges Venom rumor is most circulated but has heard nothing from reliable primary sources about it; indicates pattern doesn't equal confirmation (confidence: high) — Dennis: 'I've honestly not heard from a super reliable source or somebody from Stern that it is Venom...none of the sources that tell me stuff have ever mentioned Venom'

Oh, yes, the exclusive content, Room Around Us. It's Round and Room Around Us. That's my favorite line from any Gottlieb ever is the – oh, my gosh, I'm blanking on the next. What the hell is that? No, no, no, no. It's right around that time period. It's right after the Street Level series. The cue ball wizard. Yeah, I think it's called cue ball wizard, the one with the giant football. Yeah, but there's a mode when you start it, and you hear the voice, and the little wagon wheel thing spins, and he goes, Rowdy Ramp Rounds. This is my favorite mode. Rowdy Ramp Rounds. In fact, when I had a Sharky shootout, I would say, Rowdy Ramp Rounds, because it was still billiards. And I was like, we're going to have some Rowdy Ramp Rounds, even if they don't exist. They'll be Rowdy Ramp Rounds. Rowdy Rumor Roundup Round. Even if it's a Black Widow. Rowdy Widow. Round. We've gone too long. Yeah, this is NAP Arcade's Rumor Roundup. Let's talk about all of the rumored titles. so many that at this point let's not joke ourselves nap can all of them are just throwing out throwing out now we can do that too you know what i heard this i heard that there is a super mario brothers pinball come i heard that there's a matrix i heard that they're like it's easy to do you gotta back it up let's talk about a little bit more now rumor corner well the rumor corner that sets itself apart 10 of the time it's right every time it's right you had someone write in and uh say that they looked forward to my major rumor connect uh correction after like harry potter is exactly what everyone's been hoping for and i had to explain that rumor corner doesn't rumor apologize okay and even if rumor corner is wrong it's still right that's just the nature of the corner. Look, I didn't make the room. All I know is that it's got walls. There's going to be a corner, and in those corners, that's where rumors are. Ladies and gentlemen, this is what happens when you take a totally sane and logical person such as Dennis Creasel and inject it into a system way too many times as pinball market trends. You get a rumor corner. All right, so let's go into Rowdy Rumor Roundup. Now, this bonus episode is focusing on some of the media people having rumors, and we'll go into them even further. I peddle in those rumors, Zach, so don't Don't sink my rumor corner. It's my one beacon. We'll go through them. Nap Arcade's saying that JJP doesn't have the Matrix. That was originally thought to be a JJP title. I had heard that, yeah. And he said Stern Pinball does? Potentially a Jack Danger game? The Matrix? I don't think that's a good license. I heard you and Tony saying that, and it's the most fucking ridiculous thing I've ever... We are right. It is not only a great license, it's one of the greatest licenses. warming our our tender hearts you guys are you guys are missing matrix had other than the animatrix which no one saw matrix number one is the only good film that they did and it's the rest are garbage it is enough but i've just it's huge it's just like back to the future and you said that is it old enough for that level of nostalgia no it's not to that level but you guys said that sucked too and it doesn't matrix would sell a shitload it's perfect for pimble do you think the Matrix gets made, do you think that Stern Pinball has it? No. I don't think anyone has it. Here's what I know is a rumor. I've heard that. I've heard that J.J.P. was maybe dabbling in the Matrix. Yeah, I heard that too. I did not hear that Stern Pinball was dabbling in the Matrix. So take that for what it's worth. I've heard everything under the sun guessed for Stern, so I think I had heard it before. This is years ago. Here's what I'll give to our exclusive members. Yeah. What are you going to give them? I know that the Matrix is attainable as a pinball license. There you go. That's actual information. Oh, sure. I'm not surprised at that. It is attainable. And there have been people that have been looking into it to secure it. So very likely it either is secured or will be secured very soon. Could this be the super secret home pin game? I'll add for better or worse. That's what I'm going to add. Could it be the super secret home pin game? Oh, I have no clue what Home Pin's doing. Remember, he's got, he claimed he has like, he said it was a movie, right? A movie that was like with a half dozen different owners mucking around in the IP. What about Indiana Jones speaking of big licenses? Now, that would be a good one to do. He said that JJP had the Indiana Jones license, but then he also said Stern Pinball, he heard, did. But then he posited, there's no way that both of them, but then he posited, maybe, maybe both do? He then went on to say in a follow-up that John Borg, he knows, is not designing it regardless because that was some speculation and rumor. So what do we think? That's kind of a widespread thing. As a theme, it's very strong, of course. It wouldn't be my pick because, again, we've already got two of them, one that was good. I would think no to both of these also. I don't think it's worth going back. I know there's a new movie. so maybe if the new movie does well enough then we'll see what the box office numbers are like but there's a lot of hope that it's going to do well and I've seen it, it's a decent film I would hope it just focuses on the first three or the first two even just like Temple of Doom or something I'm fine with or just one I'm fine with again I just don't see the point in going back to a rehash theme when you've got so many other things in that same era of nostalgia that haven't been done like why not do E.T. if you're going to do No, I'd like that. Like do E from the era instead Because it wouldn sell as well as Indy Would it not Yes it would Would it really not It wouldn I don know Sadly it wouldn Okay Here what I know I going to rephrase that Yeah, what do you know? Here's what I would speculate as a rumor. I heard, I don't know, a year or two ago, that Indiana Jones' license has been re-upped by Stern Pinball. I also heard that they were going to attempt, and I tried to tell people this in a cryptic way, When I was talking about that Sam remake and stuff, I was referring to Indiana Jones, how they would try to keep a lot of the basic elements of that layout but change some of the coding. That's the rumor that I heard. Now, it came from a source that I would not consider a primary source but one that has been reliable in the past. So that's what I've heard. So what I'm telling you is that I've heard nothing about J.J.P. having an entry-level license. Yeah, I had never heard J.J.P. I had heard about the possibility of some sort of like quasi-volt or read. It kind of made me more of a Batman 66 versus Batman Dark Knight style with essentially the same layout. Yeah, it's the same kind of thing. Yeah. No, I've never heard anything about J.J.P. I'm with Nap, though. Nap says J.J.P. has a Harry Potter license. Even if Jack O'Neil says no, I'm with that. But it's one that's going to be hated. I heard that on rumor. Yeah, I don't. It's going to be something up. No, no. It's just going to star that, what's his name, Neville. No. Wizarding World of Neville. Yes. Stern Pinball. Pernap Arcades rumors. Stern Pinball's got John Wick. They were saying maybe that's the Jack Danger game. I mean, that's a newer rumor to me, but it would be a really smart license to get. In fact, they've already indicated they're planning to do John Wick movies for the foreseeable future. This is a Fast and the Furious franchise for them at this point. Is it not dying? Again, it comes down to this. I've not seen the fourth one yet. I think the formula is going to get old. I think it's going to be like Taken. I think I'm getting old. Well, we all are, including Keanu Reeves. And so I think at some point, though, the formula – again, remember Taken, Leslie Nielsen, older action star got really, really hot. But by the time I've taken three, people are done. Now he's in a film where if he slows down like speed in the car, then he'll blow up or something. I don't know. He's always trying to save his daughter. The point being, does Stern Pinball have John Wick? That feels like a Stern license. I would think if they do, they better get it out sooner than later because I don't think John Wick necessarily works as well in two or three, five years. I would be shocked if John Wick goes beyond six films, and that's two more. basically double trilogy, basically double trilogy it and then stop it. Because he's got to get dead or tired of revenging. Like, what's he avenging anymore? It's getting a little... Like, the first one has a stand-alone. I like the original trilogy but they left, even the third one's left on a cliffhanger. So it's like... Whereas the first one was a nice, really... It was innovative at the time because you've basically taken someone who, by all definitions, would be the bad guy and they set it up really early on so that you sympathize with him, even though... They killed his dog. exactly that's part of the sound like you made you made mr what's his name gray joy or whatever from uh game of thrones the bad guy which he's got a punchable face so that was inevitable and but his whole like john wick as a professional is a bad dude like he's a bad guy so and and it was just an interesting spin where all the bad guys are super afraid of him of the protagonist that's unusual so i don't know anything about this rumor it's not it's not a surprise anymore Now we're just like he wants to – he's going to do this because he wants to remember his wife or he wants to do this because now he has a stray dog or whatever. They killed his rescued dog? Oh, no. No, but I point back to Taken where it's like, oh, no, they took my daughter. And now, oh, no, they took my wife and my daughter. And the third one, oh, no, they killed my wife. Sorry, spoilers. It's like that. So it's getting – it's like Deathwish. We saw all this with Deathwish back with Charles Bronson where it's just like, all right, how many wishes of death are there going to be? I think in the last one they kill this parrot. It's like a cat's got nine lives. It's like, Polly want to kill my parrot. I'm Charles Bronson. I keep canon films afloat. I'm coming for you all. You killed my African gray. Pinball Heaven, per Nap Arcade, theorizing that Sterner CGC is remaking Big Bang Bar. Okay. I've heard rumors about Big Bang Bar getting remade for years. for years. I don't care. I don't think it sells. The only reason people wanted a remake of Big Bang Bar is they have in the back of their head that Lightning's going to strike twice and they'll get a $20,000 investment. It doesn't mean it's a good game. It's not that it's a bad game. It's a solid game. I don't think it sells great now. No, it's no. Now, what do I know about it? I'm going to speculate that You know, per NAP Arcade, per through Pinball Heaven, saying that Stern or CGC is remaking. Here's what I'm here to tell you. I'm here to tell you Stern Pinball is not remaking Big Bang Bar. I can't imagine Stern ever remaking something that wasn't theirs. I'll go further and say CGC is not remaking Big Bang Bar. Now, I've always heard a rumor, Zach, that CGC wants to get out of the remake business entirely at this point. I don't believe that at all. That's what I hear. Yeah, keep it on the rumor court. Rowdy Room or Roundup? It's not from that arcade. Rowdy Room or Roundup? No. I will say that I do think that an overseas company is going to try to make Big Bang Bar. I don't know how it sells, but I would estimate that it does not sell well. But if it doesn't sell well, that doesn't mean the value won't be high on them. Just units-wise, I don't see it. Also recently we heard that Orange County Pinball a Stern dealership out in the West Coast and email was sent out by them to indicate that Stern Pinball next Cornerstone is going to be playable at Comic We talked about this July 20th through the 23rd Nap Arcade saying that that game is going to be Venom And saying that it is Brian Eddy's best designed shooter yet at Stern. Okay. All right. I could see this happening. I could. The only issue, and we touched on it in the main episode, is it doesn't make sense that they would produce very many of them. Yeah, it's just a weird timeline on how it's going to work. Yeah, it's just the Comic-Con is a little early for when Stern would normally do for their schedule. But if they did have McFarlane and Ozzy ready last year and they promised them this year that they – maybe they're obligated to do it. Yeah, I could definitely see some obligations, especially if they thought something was happening. The next thing you know, James Bond comes out with its disastrous launch. Yeah, and you don't want to know something, crazy listener, is I do – Dennis and I – we hear about a lot of things. before they happen and they come to fruition. And we know a lot about what's going to land. I've honestly not heard from a super reliable source or somebody from Stern that it is Venom. I don't know. That's the one thing that we keep hearing, Venom, but none of the sources that tell me stuff have ever mentioned Venom. So I don't know. It wouldn't surprise me, but I think, like Nap says, where there's smoke, there's fire, there's a good chance that it will be Venom. But that's one objectively I just haven't heard anything from. But then again, I'm around enough groups that if that's brought up a lot, it probably would have been like, no, they don't have that. And nobody's said they haven't. So who knows? Another NAP Arcade suggestion is that Stern is thinking about vaulting Ghostbusters. I have heard this rumor. I have as well. I have heard that there is some truth to this, that Stern Pinball has looked into re-upping that license. for a vault in the past. Now, when I heard about that, it was about a year and a half, two years ago. So timeline-wise, it makes sense, but I don't know. It would be Spike 1, so their moves like Sam, Shaker Motors, and stuff don't apply to Ghostbusters. But the thing is, I also had heard a, I guess, rumor at this point that Stern couldn't really get all the parts to the original Spike 1 boards, and I don't know if Spike 1 games can run on Spike 2 software or not. I don't know. I don't know. Because if they can, and it's just a question of still the DMD and everything, then I could see this happening. And that's the only Spike one I think they'd ever remake. What were the others? Game of Thrones. Game of Thrones was the only other one that popped into my mind. And WrestleMania, I believe. I forgot Kiss was a Spike. I could see them wanting to run Kiss again. Maybe. I mean, this is Jim Simmons from Kiss. It's my perfect impression. Of Ron Hallett from Slam Dunk. Oh, no. What if I do all that audio for him and I've sent it in for years? Oh. And I've always been the Gene Simmons. Did you ever think about that? I don't know. As long as you're not accusing me of breaking business ties and NDAs, I don't care. On to the next one. Twilight Zone coming. Snap Arcade says Twilight Zone is coming. Okay. I went ahead. I went ahead just real quick. I've searched all the games that use the original Spike system. so was i you were about kiss yes so the the ones are just real quick because they're actually some of the pins that i don't think they would remake those transformers and avengers the pins were both and i knew they experimented with those uh so you have game of thrones wrestlemania woe nelly okay kiss uh ghostbusters and yeah marvel spider-man home edition also supreme and primus because they're all using that same layout and paps are all on the original spike and i think they're done with all of those remakes like that. I think moving forward, they would too. No, I agree. Ghostbusters Game of Thrones would be the two most likely to ever vault because they're both I think Ghostbusters for the theme Game of Thrones is actually a pretty popular layout for a lot of people, especially after Dwight did his code updates to it. The same was true for Ghostbusters though because he code updated that as well. And then Kiss is Kiss. I actually think Kiss plays pretty well. I like that game, yeah. I don't like it enough to pay the price it's going for. Yeah, I know. Because I'm not a Kiss fan. As a remake. As a theme, I don't care. But I like playing it on location. So Nap's saying Twilight Zone is coming. He even seen that specifically the PTSO trademarking and stuff like that. Said specific use of Twilight Zone and pinball. But he said he don't know who's making it. Would it be somebody like Euro Pinball Corp that's doing the 2.0 systems overseas? Would it be somebody like Chicago Gaming Company? He said he don't know when they'd ever make it. it's a wide body. I heard there was some, again, rumor. This was a while ago. I think this was last year at some point where purportedly a whole big, like big ramp order of Twilight Zone ramps came in from someone who makes the ramps. Yeah. And that kind of leaked. Yeah. And I don't, I don't know that to be true. Yeah. I don't know either. I mean, a part, a part repo place could order like 50 ramps and go, you know what? Twilight Zone people order these all the time. I, I could use them. Here's what I'll tell you. I believe that Twilight Zone will be remade And I think it will be remade By Chicago Gaming Company I don't think there's any question And for that matter If somebody ordered ramps I don't know why I don't think it was Chicago Gaming Company That ordered ramps or anything like that So no clue what that was all about Alright we're almost done guys Stern Pinball reportedly making Jaws Per nap arcade With Randy Martinez on art And Keith Elwin team on design With possible 3D features Like creatures and 3D glasses or something. This is coming from information from Randy Martinez, who did artwork for Star Wars comic and for Mandalorian. But basically he was on social media, recently made a post that said, quote I have a ton of new paintings that I working on for San Diego Comic commissions and a huge all caps project that I cannot tell you about Exclamation Let just say you will be seeing it next year all over And, parentheses, concerning the art, parentheses, we are doing something that has never been done before. Exclamation. Boom. So, Nap's saying, that's Jaws, baby. Could it be Jaws? I would say, yeah. I mean, the Jaws rumor's been around for years at this point. And even I'd say that it's been around for quite a while that Elwynn's got it. I've heard the same. I've heard the same. And I could see all of this. Even the 3D features. Like, I know Joel's 3 was like a 3D thing. He's thinking like Creech. Why not just a Translight? Like, has Stern really done a 3D Translight? I can't imagine they're going to do like, here, play this game with at least not 3D glasses. You don't want people to get nauseous looking at the line. Like, you know, they'd have to do the polarized approach, not the red-blue. I think the Translight makes sense. Yeah. Yeah, I could see that. So that's where I would be at on that. And yeah, like you said, Dennis, I've heard of a Keith Elwin-Joles. I mean, it's a good theme. The whole thing has always been that purportedly no one could get the assets. So that's always been where everyone gets hung up on concern. But I mean, the movie was the first original summer blockbuster. It's deeply popular. Definitely don't theme it around Josh 3, though. That movie is awful. But that's what Nap was saying, like maybe that's how they get around all the assets. They can still use film assets from Jaws 3. No, that's not going to – everyone – the thing is – the problem is none of the actors in the first two Jaws movies I think are in 3. They're all different, every single one. Even Jaws the Revenge at least has Martha Brody or whatever her name is. We'll get General Jaws. That's what we'll get. That's what we'll get. All right. Everyone wants Hooper and they want Quint. That's what they want. Yeah. Outside of NAP Arcade, Don's Pinball Podcast, the newcomer jumping into the ring and saying, you know, I don't care how long I've been in pinball. I've got a rumor. And he said that the Ben Heck spooky CGC collaboration he's hearing is Monty Python. And that's what Don's Pinball Podcast is saying. I don't know if he was saying specifically which Monty Python, But Knapp went on to suggest possibly Monty Python and the Holy Grail. So that's probably the most popular movie amongst Americans of their work. Yeah. So do you think this would happen? Do you think it's a good theme? I mean, medieval madness kind of already. Yeah. I mean, Monty Python as a theme isn't. It's definitely nostalgic. I don't think it's the strongest seller Holy Grail would do well versus like Life of Brian or something I think it would do the best but you know here's the thing you say Ben Heck with this rumor he's often remember the whole thing with Deep Root and he Ben talked about like wanting to do Bible adventures what is Life of Brian if not a tongue in cheek take on biblical time there's no way they'd make the Life of Brian there's no way always look on the bright Right side of life. People talked about Princess Bride and all that. I think it's okay, but it's not going to be a gangbuster seller. But honestly, as slow as CGC is at producing, it makes sense to me. I'll also note that early on when we heard about the CGC Spooky collab that Ben Heck was going to do, I know a lot of people were like, maybe that will be Evil Dead. And I was like, I can't. If Ben got all mad that Spooky didn't do Evil Dead because they couldn't secure Bruce Campbell likeness because he wanted too much money, and I was like, CGC doesn't change the economics of that. I don't think it's the greatest theme if it was Monty Python. Now, regarding whether or not it'll happen, regarding if the rumor of it being the Ben Heck spooky CGC collaboration, if that's all true regarding all of that, my official position would be I plead the fifth on that. Okay. Interesting. All right, Pinball Party Podcast, our last rumor. Yay. Pinball Party Podcast was saying that they found some random Reddit guy. Oh, I heard about Reddit guy. Oh, yes. Fuck. Reddit guy. Jason, what are you doing? What is your name? He said, look. Reddit guy. Rowdy Reddit guy. He's got a decent history, and I figured it out. But saying random Reddit guy saying that Venom is not next from Stern Pinball, but Stern Pinball will be having a, not a remake, but not a remake. Well, would that not be like what we talked about with the Indiana Jones being a little bit different? Yeah, maybe. I mean, it would be timely with Dial of Destiny just dropping. So basically, is it Venom or not? This guy from Reddit randomly is just saying it's not Venom. So that's what I'm taking away. Do I think that's true? My take is, fuck, I don't know. It's a guy off Reddit. I follow the pinball subreddit, but I don't put stock in much of anything that appears there. Oh, my gosh. Talk about the dark holes of Reddit. I need to go on Reddit. This is weird. Oh, Reddit's a lot of fun for a lot of weird discussions. But I got to admit, most of the pinball stuff that I see listed there is not very impressive. It just always pisses me off because every time I try to pull it up, my browser's like, do you want to check this out in the Reddit app? Oh. And I'm like, oh, fuck it. You're like Pinterest. I'm done with it. Yes. I get annoyed with that, too. I'm not doing it. So, ladies and gentlemen, that was your exclusive TPS membership bonus episode. Rowdy Rumor Roundup. Based on NAP Arcade's Rowdy Rumor Roundup. Rowdy Rumor Roundup. I think we, you know what, we brought up a lot of the throwing of things to see what sticks, and I think we've compiled them all in some cleaner ways. How about that? Okay. With the little nods here, little winks there. That's all I'm saying. Thanks for the support, people. Rowdy.
