## Analysis

Greg Bone from Straight Down the Middle installs a collection of cosmetic mods from The Mod Couple on his Munsters pinball machine, including a 3D eyeball for the pop-up, illuminated cuckoo clock with raven detail, flasher dome covers mimicking a mad laboratory, 3D spider flipper bat covers, and blue perplexor back covers. The video showcases straightforward adhesive and clip-based installation processes while emphasizing the quality and visual appeal of aftermarket cosmetic upgrades.

### Key Claims

- [HIGH] The 3D eyeball mod and spider flipper bat covers represent underrated cosmetic upgrades that significantly enhance the visual appeal of the Munsters machine — _Greg explicitly states the flipper bats might be 'the most underrated thing' and 'the coolest,' and repeatedly praises the visual impact of 3D elements over flat stickers/decals_
- [HIGH] The Mod Couple's products are designed for easy installation using adhesive pads and simple clip attachments requiring minimal machine disassembly — _Greg demonstrates multiple installations (eyeball, cuckoo clock, flasher caps, flipper bats) all using simple adhesive or clip-based attachment with no complex wiring or removal required_
- [HIGH] The cuckoo clock mod has potential clearance issues on the Munsters playfield in certain positions — _Greg states 'I nearly certain I don't have enough clearance up top' and deliberately angles the cuckoo clock to minimize coverage of the top area and flipper bat artwork_
- [HIGH] The flasher dome covers on the Munsters are designed to mimic the aesthetic of Grandpa's mad laboratory setting — _Greg describes the flasher dome covers as 'to kind of mimic like grandpa is a mad laboratory down there'_

## Transcript

okay so today I got kind of a little almost like Christmas in from the Mod couple here from my monsters and I got some stuff from my Star Wars here we'll start with the Star Wars I got these awesome these spotlight reflectors in that that fit and look a little better than just your regular freaking silver ones and there are chrome ones in there so super excited about that and then I got this awesome this is one of my favorite things too that are really talented and really loved is it's a 3d eyeball to go on your monsters pop-up or cap where the eyeball is it just blows those little small things that just add something more than that flat cap back there then these are so much more beautiful in person these are the the flasher dome covers you know to kind of mimic like grandpa is a mad laboratory down there which is pretty damn awesome and then I've got some blue per back covers got these 3d spiders on there and webbing which is kind of awesome to me and I like I like that they started doing some of these 3d things on the the flipper bats instead of just a regular you know flat sticker and then here this thing is so detailed and so beautiful like it really looks like an old-time cuckoo clock freaking amazing it's got the Raven coming out and everything a little red demon eyes on him pretty awesome and it lights up so I think just the the clock face there lights up but we'll see cuz we're gonna put these things in so let's hop over here the machine and take a look at some of this install okay so you can see the that's what we're going to go on there first is replace that eyeball there with this nice thing 3d one that I just showed you guys so I don't know how this attachment okay just two little simple adhesive pads on there and it's just gonna go literally I think right over top of it oh gotta get it Center that wire forms in my way which it's nice that that adhesives not around the whole thing because then you can kind of set one side down on there and smooth it into place and that is perfection right there I probably should have cleaned that first I did not so let's push it down on there get it good and snug and it's not going anywhere oh look how freaking awesome that is let's see if we can't go in a little bit and take a look Oh a little grainy but dude look how freaking sweet that thing is that's amazing okay so what I did here was I took and I had to pull back on these Stern's you've got the little the things the little plastic almost like shrink protectors on a lot of your wires so I had to slice those a little bit and then pull them off to be able to put on my alligator clips these are also what looks like comments matrix connector so you could technically if you wanted to feel a little safer unscrew that bulb and put one of the the comic matrix bulbs in there to be able to adapt to your your mod and then simply what I'm going to do is I'm coming around this back and coming underneath and then I'm actually gonna just loop it around here I don't know if that's good or not but just because I was gonna feed through this hole here there's a nice hole right there to feed that through but I decided not to do that just because it is there's a lot of plastics to take off there I'm gonna kind of feed this through here just to serve as some guide and that's all there is to that and we'll go up top okay so there's our cuckoo clock installed I just stuck it on that top plastic I kind of told it was putting it up there since it's the Raven shop but I was afraid that it I don't think I got enough clearance for one and actually I'm nearly certain I don't have enough clearance up top but I just wanted it to be seen - and I gave it a kind of an angle you really can't tell my chair by I kind of shifted an angle and only covered up like one of those bats I didn't really want to mess up those awesome bats on that that clear plastic there so there's the cuckoo clock let's move on to our third let's go to these uh these flipper bats okay so here we are with our awesome flipper bats let's pull these guys out of here stick those on now shouldn't eat before I put them on there again you know the great thing about these mod couple products check out how cool that is deep and it's kind of has this wicked like antique look to it kind of distressed but the great thing about a lot of these mod couple mods and stuff and I don't I don't get a whole lot of mods so you know I don't know if everyone's like this but you know obviously flipper bats are expected but you know they're so like everything is so easy to install and do just like that cuckoo clock it was so simple to just stick that on there oh that is wicked looking oh that is so neat you know what these simple the right here the simplicity of these this right here might have been the most underrated thing that I got but it may turn out to be the coolest okay cuz this and now this is a game-changer okay that's about where my other one is presser down firm dad is cool dude okay oh that is wicked oh man those are great look how great those look there's even show on video so that is awesome but those are very overlooked I recommend those as much as anything so now let's go to our fourth mod let's go from these guys let's go up and put our our pop member caps on I don't know exactly which flashers I want to put them on I'm assuming I want to put it on grandpa's and then I guess maybe the Herman went back in the back I don't know my I don't know it might be the two for now I might do the two front ones we'll see let's go up to the the shot okay so now we have our awesome flasher flasher caps here and it says that we actually got a little set of an instruction here with it that says - there's little blue dots that come with it carefully press on the mod from Grainger's but not ball or you may break the dome lenses it's a naive so I'm gonna test fit these guys and see where I want him first like I said I was originally kind of thinking there and here just to add something out this way but then I hate for grandpa I don't really like this so what I think I'm gonna do is obviously do the grandpa one Oh fellow is do the grandpa one and then maybe that red one or do I do the grandpa one and maybe the one back there by Herman the green one I don't know I kinda I kind of like that red one or the purple one let's go back here this green one I don't know if you guys are gonna be able to see it or not that's a delicate plastic if you guys do put it on this green one be careful its own support oh I like that yeah definitely doing the - back there that looks really good up close let's say I'm gonna come off the tripod and come in and show you guys those which they're a little crooked I don't having fast in debate yeah that's the place for those that's gonna look wicked lit up so let me go and attach those guys and then we'll turn the machine on we'll take a look at all these mods that we have well here's a video those flasher cabs tough great those are you got stay tuned after this video I gave you some high res pics of all the mods that we put on today this is Greg with straight down the middle of pinball show thank you guys for watching and putting your order to the mock couple today get yourself some of these kick-ass mods [Music]
