Martinez and we are here at women's finals we're here in the first round in the round of 16. and we are excited to bring you uh 16 of the best women's players in the world today yes sir and they are currently finishing up I feel like on Monster Bash is what it looks like and I believe that's Jane that is Jane going I'm trying to catch up and see what she's uh playing or you know what she's got set up here uh looks like she's got um monster Mayhem lit I see that and she's probably going to go for you know one more shots to the far left creature scoop yeah yeah to complete like to start that that's a good safe way to get some points that looked like based on her score she was on a guaranteed third place okay but here we are in this creature every shot is lit there we go yep oh one that was a tight yep it's a little forgiving I will give it that oh that's nice because you played in this Bank yeah I did I did I oh so that was a tough train yeah it looks like Jane the best Jane can do is third place okay and Vanessa needs about a million points in order to pass Kaylee so if you need a million points on Monster Bash Kim what is your strategy a million points on Monster Bash obviously just uh easily get the skill shot there yeah um she it looks like she has her Frankenstein open so I mean I would just I would just rip that shot and and just start my multiball and be guaranteed that it looks like there is a very small ball saver on this game so that's a benefit um all of the games had a fairly we're pretty generous in the spirit of competition games on uh having all right a ball save Vanessa probably has it in bonus so my goal at this point would be not to tilt right and there she has it yeah she's got this now she needed 17 flat and she's got 17-5 so it looks like she hits a spinner that would be my other thing uh the spinner for me would be a very easy way to just rack up some easy points yeah so Vanessa now is playing for pride practice and apparently yoga which is wonderful I think that's my favorite thing about uh especially about uh playing in women's it's a lot of the movement is is very colorful and very uh energetic very much so me me included me included oh what is your go-to move um I listen to music when I play so I dance a lot so I look kind of crazy when I do it but well done Vanessa all right so let's explain just a little bit about this format so the way this format works is we have four four player groups going right now and each group will be playing three games and each game will be scored four two one zero four points for first two points per second one point for third and zero points for four correct and the top two out of each group will be moving on to the round of eight yes and then and then that just rinse and repeat they'll play another round of three games and it is scored uh four two one zero again so um and until the until the best of the best has been chosen um but yeah it so why don't why like we're following the same group and we're going to move on to game two this is Spider-Man Vault Edition so so Kim if you're playing Spider-Man what are your goals um so I would say Doc Ock is um fairly backhandable on this so I mean it's simple to get it's simple you know it's that's something that I would be working on obviously the the getting the logs I've I've got that I've got the orbit styled in so it's fairly easy to hit to light the lock which is a lot of circle deck yeah I'll Circle dog uh he is right here so like you would have to like uh backhand it there or you can forward hand it but it's a little bit harder um I think it's the top left oh I hope we are trying to fly the spaceship here I am so sorry that's okay we are close to the Sun but we are not there yet so that's good so why don't you talk about uh your other uh multiball yeah so then um I usually use this uh this upper flipper here and hit that lock shot um and again it would light this orbit and this orbit um they're to me they're both fairly easy to hit so I didn't have too much of a problem um hitting hitting the orbits and completing that um obviously I would try to pull down Sandman yeah I would try to pull down Sandman right here yeah um before I started any of my multiballs because because it's a dangerous shot yeah um it's dangerous to complete but once you have a couple of balls and a ball safe going um that's fairly easy and it gets you some points um outside of that you just Richie out I don't know you just gotta you gotta find that flow because I mean once uh things start coming together for like you know this this shot right here is fairly backhandable as well yeah the right ramp yeah this right ramp and then you can just immediately flow into this next ramp and then hit an orbit so I mean I think Richie out is a wonderful way to describe how to play the game yeah you just gotta Richie out so uh let's talk about where the players are Vanessa's in the lead with four yes uh if vanessa wins she would guarantee herself advancement correct but the great thing about this format is nobody is locked out but if I were Rachel or Jane I would definitely want to try to finish first or second in this game definitely this is a this is going to be a solidifying moment I think for them at least all right and Haley is from your area correct she is um well she's a she's a little bit more from North Carolina but she does play in like the silver the silver ball the the fellowship um she does come down to our tournaments and stuff she's currently doing the CP oh I always mess up the acronym it's CPS or CP um but it's a little bit of a collection of tournaments like a tournament Series yeah um that ranges along South Carolina and North Carolina oh nice I'm I'm glad there's a little mini regional series yeah yeah and so it's been really nice we've been getting a lot like the grants have been going to it um so a lot of a lot of support there all right so Kaylee has one ball left towards her black suit multiball right there she goes she backhanded it in there that's a wonderful backhand to that light lock shot and now she could easily get that orbit or backhand the dock off like I said yep very good you know I'm a great coach so uh the wonderful things about um about Spider-Man is that if you start dock or black suit multiball it Stacks yep you can then bring in the next one correct It's a Wonderful opportunity looks like she got paid yes and finished out Sandman so that's one of her Four villains there's four villains in the game there's sand man there's Green Goblin there's Doc Ock and then there's the fourth one who escapes me at this moment who is the fourth one venom venom from the side ramp right correct yeah I feel like there's also Electro there is uh Electro is one of the modes oh that's right okay oh that's a lot of good progress um she got at least one lap for black suit got another lock lit got some back shots I don't know if you guys see this but if you guys haven't played Spider-Man there's also a post in the middle uh right down there between the flippers and it's either very helpful or uh you trust it and it's not helpful at all um oh very nice uh flow there from Rachel she's yes wearing a shirt from Tempe Arizona I'm gonna guess she's from Tempe Arizona and there's that post move oh but unfortunately I'm all safe oh she did get a ball safe okay there we go but as you can see that was uh that was definitely the kind of move that those po that post was made for yeah that was a beautiful city now we're up for Jane yes Jane's from the Chicago area very strong player definitely I saw her in the heads up let's see what her strategy is looks like she was trying to maybe back in for Doc action we're going to hope that we get a little bit of extra ball safe and we do so let's see is Jane going to go for the lock shots yeah she she litter lock oh oh that's okay all right so she gets her first ball lock easy it's gonna feed out into the pop bumpers yeah so we'll see if she takes another hot shot at that light lock Target oh I think she did and she tried all right so from here she's got that option A backhanding dacock oh and she tried oh nice nice what a catch that was an excellent play there we go all right so let's see how many more shots she needs it's like two more oh she goes for a ball trap and unfortunate red out lane drain but yeah she's got some progress the flippers are are quite bouncy um right now a lot of the times when you're trying to slow that ball down it instead it just kind of bounces back out yeah um but let's go ahead and see what Vanessa's strategy is I I mean Kaylee put up a decent amount on her first ball yeah you know she she gathered a lot yeah and I I always say on Baldwin of Spider-Man I mean unless you really blow it up my goal is progress right right you just want to kind of set stuff up yeah I'd be happy with a couple of locks yeah she did not use the flipper which is sometimes nice you know especially if it's going fast oh no Mass uh her hands indicated No No Mess she she said no thank you but you know she does have one of her locks lit so a little bit of progress a little bit yeah I'm excited to see Kaylee um because she definitely has quite a bit Yeah you can tell doc hack is lit by those strobing lights um right below um doc ack those three red lights that blink yep oh she goes for the short plunge and Venom nope oh there's that balance the post bounce everybody drink um not that it's early in the morning for Americans but Europeans go ahead I that's that's my one favorite thing um this meteor a couple of other games that have the post I just get very excited when the post actually oh that's wonderful works I don't know oh I get very excited okay so there's her third lock ready I think she can oh there she goes she starts her dog she can immediately hit one of the orbits and bring in her a black suit multiball yep we'll see if she does it immediately or if she waits which is the strategy yeah waiting gives you a little bit of extra ball Save Right but at the same time you want to make sure well and some people like to stack and only do one multiball at a time I am not one of those people but it looks like um she got the ball up there oh so black suit is starting so yes this is wonderful black suit as you want to make each of your arrowed shots twice yes and dock is also hitting Arrow shots so it's Arrow time this activity is making some excellent progress he's also getting paid up the middle on a spider or a sandman as you were saying earlier Kim yep oh looks like she's got a nice juicy payout up the middle lit oh there's a nice jackpot lend me a hand doc Ox super for a million two very nice and look at this control this is excellent control oh jailbreak I hope it back to a trap oh that she might have gotten to the L1 pose oh but by going down that little um Spider Sense thing under the upper flipper gave her an edible so now she's sitting here with four balls which might almost be too many um I'm sure she can do fine okay she's at the Owen pose yep let's see if she can do a nice little post pass here she's trying to get uh probably two balls on one one on the other yep yes she's uh trying to separate her balls there up up up oh another little jailbreak there but that's okay she's getting paid all right what do you think of playing Spider-Man Anna this Spider-Man was very rude to me um I'm surprised she hit that doc auction we were just complaining about the Spider-Man last night actually because uh you hit that Gaga shot two dead on and it just rejects yeah we've seen several rejections so far it's very very frustrating yeah um I I kind of uh I kind of avoided doing Doc Ock a lot um and just kind of focused on trying to get my my uh like the main multiplayer going yeah yeah the black suit and then try to bring in Doc OG while I was doing that instead exactly yeah as opposed to like trying to take the the shots on it right um so it looks like Jane oh everybody out of the pool yep but it looks like Jane does have some progress towards black suits yes and I know you want more than seven million out of your dacock but still points or points right indeed um so what's your strategy when you go into this I mean for this particular machine yeah I did the same as you I was yeah at first I usually I usually go for dock off first right because it's less shots and um during the multiball you can bring in other multiballs or at least set up your what I like to do is during the multiball is set up my next multiball right and then once I drain I just hit that last shot and then I have another multiball exactly uh but this one was hard because that I think it just messed my whole your whole strategy up and I was like uh I guess I just have to hit black suit like and that shot is weird the little shot right there yeah yeah I I feel like I grazed it fairly decently with the uh the upper oh yeah the upper flipper but Anna what do you think of Vanessa's choice to not always swing from the upper flipper and catch it on the lower right flipper I almost uh for this machine um I was doing that a lot to try and get some control right um but that upper flipper actually I was nailing that Venom shot which I'd almost never do on this machine I was gonna say it was very butter on this one yeah I was feeling I was feeling really good about it um much easier I think uh Kaylee's trying to short plunge yeah most of the time there she goes so on your third ball you can get double or let's see what Vanessa can do I'm gonna guess Kaylee based on my understanding of where we were in the standings yeah Kaylee is I believe either second or top qualifier right now so what was what we'll choose next do you think um knowing Kaylee no I don't know I hope she chooses barbed wire yeah I've never played it before um the thing is I don't think she even though there is there it is so that's what that's ball one so still got a lot of work to do um still doing I like that strategy um yeah I if I see a flipper I'm gonna flip so it's really hard sometimes because I can't shake the urge there's that lock shot let's see if she can get third in bonus oh it's gonna be close oh I can't mask oh it looks like she's short but a very small amount there it's like 17 000. oh it's quite a while and then all of a sudden I dip like four spaces and I was like and I'm out there's no way uh there's no way I'm coming back from that ah let's start at the bottom and talk about some of the other groups in group four we got Leslie Ruckman Cassie Begay Stephanie trout and Kelly Jones nice Leslie is coming out strong with mouseen that was a great tight game though look at that oh yeah look at those two three millions right there that's just a couple of cheese shots there really yeah and then in group three they played Spider-Man first we got Hillary Jacobson Sunshine Band Yasmine De Young and Julie gray all great players all great players they all had Fairly good games for that Spider-Man yeah 16 million take in uh third or uh last there right next to 17. that's a bad beat there yeah in group two we have carry Wings Stacy Morris Julie dorsers and Katie Martin Doctor Who which I kind of just learned how to play yesterday like I've never really played that game okay so what what did you learn um I learned that I should probably try and get that multiball well that's what I should have done this whole time because I was not doing that um I there's there's a couple of different strategies on that one um so like you can select your doctor right and he he kind of helps you he kind of helps you out with you know certain progresses so doctors are the best doctors so I when I played this game frequently my strategy was I started because I like the video mode um so I started with uh the first doctor who helps spot you a shot on on the right hand uh stand ups honestly yeah and um that you know helps you complete like get your video mode lit faster um so that you can start it and then I would go for the um upper the Playfield multiplier shot um and then would try to get the sonic boom uh out of it um you'd complete the who shot which is like the boom from the so like you'd hit the the little the little right ramp that like mini one that's the W okay and then you hit it into the other one where the upper ramp and that's the H and then the ramp that you hit okay is the oh so that's the I was trying to maneuver I almost call it the Picard maneuver okay yeah yeah because it's like the yeah yeah Delta quadrant you know yeah Delta Alpha Beta shots where it's like boom upper flipper ramp and then orbit I guess I didn't know anything about this game no no it's okay I think Anna's getting her wish on what we're gonna watch for game three all right oh it's gonna be that barbed wire so I am not a barbed wire expert what was your all's experience on Barbara I mean I'm not an expert either but um uh it is uh it is like any gottlyb game that is and if anybody knows well I don't see the the chat um but if anybody knows the rule sets better you know feel free to throw it in the chat um but for me I play it like any other Gottlieb like from that era uh the mode start is always going to be a two a two ball multiball um there's maybe probably like two or three modes in there that don't Grant you the two Ball multiball but um the skill shot on Fatso is yeah use usually lucrative I think they kind of nerfed it for for right now but usually he would give you a fairly decent amount of points so I was trying to get that skill shot off so many games and I was like okay what do I do with like soft plunge and then it goes no no and then I was like okay then I hit it with the upper flipper into the thing and then that didn't work for a long time but then at the end of the night it started working I was nailing Fatso from the upper yeah it's a it's a timing it kind of reminded me of my aiq shots though oh no oh yeah so is the mode start up the middle then yeah it's it's Fatso Fatso is this man who sits on top of that gate in the middle and he's I guess fat you can draw on that oh on a this thing that's him yeah that's the big old Fatso right there he's talking to you the whole time yes oh no sunshine gets an unfortunate train looks like she's gonna be uh put up the lowest of the ball one scores so we're getting bonus pinball power so no yes we're getting bonus pinball but also they had a malfunction on the game so players one through three are playing two balls and player four is playing all three balls oh I don't be added to the scores I don't have the scores I'll try and fix the camera too I wonder what happened uh it's also unfortunate I'm really hoping that rock survives enough for me to watch it because I do like rock but but uh it died like on three different cards that I played and I was trying to play rock it died on me three different times where it just either reset yeah um which is unfortunate because I do like playing that game it did it did that to me once too I think Jim figured out the issue with it but it would just keep breaking right okay so she hits that fat so the fatso is now I believe lifted it's really hard to tell on this at this angle but um she's going to want to try to hit that to start fat so have you circled the fatso shot just for people at home this is the fat so shot and that's the fatso excellent I like them I like it it's early morning science I love science oh there it is oh the middle and you you flip the ball and it manages to hit the ball up a little bit and then you continue to pull it out with your other flippers it's usually done in a flailing motion but it is like when you do it and you mean to do it yeah and you manage to get the ball out from the middle are you saying dick or dig no no no no not a Richard save okay not no no dig like you're digging it out oh no it is too early for you but um we both are thinking poorly see now I feel like you guys have been drinking my tequila and not me because well I was I was innocent and sweet well while we're pressing on Hillary is putting up an excellent form absolutely yes yes um and all because she Doug saved yeah see now I'm gonna have to say it in a different tense ooh original scan I'm getting some Demolition Man flashback yeah yeah I've never seen this movie either so I don't Barbed Wire yeah you know I think that's the reason why I like gottlink so much is that there was a time where they just did really obscure themes from really obscure 80s movies and I love it you're making me wish there was a tank girl that would be amazing they could still do that she's got that she's got that left so they're taking a picture of the score because they've all right so the nice thing is that it looks like some features carry over but I also know in um barbed wire you want that 100 million uh jackpot at the bottom of the triangle so maybe giving your game started over you could collect that 100 million again pretty easy so yeah this might be one of the few games where there's a benefit to starting over we'll ask Carl Carl's the expert Carl's like what I heard my name what's up I'm saying can I collect the 100 Million jackpot and barbed wire twice if my game starts over like once from once once or twice once or twice for him to open up so if she can do that she can get another multiball great save over there oh nice post use okay all right about Sprouts no no there we go she's got it in here with this weird guy in his face yeah and then he's gonna I like to let it dead bounce um from that scoop shot I was trying that sometimes sometimes it'd come out with too much Gusto um but you know I don't know I love these weird gottly flippers the little pointy ones oh so Sunshine's got one ball remaining so she's gonna need she didn't get any points in the first game so if she's going to get um she's gonna need at least uh 70 million or so to pass um the third place player and at least 330 to pass the second place I have a feeling that it's very like I'm not saying that it's easy by any means sure but I think that if she can start her fat so yeah um it would be that she is definitely not out for the count you know you can easily put up 200 300 400 million on this in one ball absolutely um and I've seen her blow up games oh yeah like it's really funny there's like people because I've only been playing for maybe five years now yeah um so there's a lot of people that have uh and a lot of women that I've you know watched play and like in my young pinball days and I was like man look at them they're really cool Sunshine was definitely one of those Sunshine is of the lower flipper okay so there's that fatso shot she there you go all right so cash okay so this is a two ball multiball all the shots are lit now I ha like she she should be able yeah yeah yeah there's a oh no no there's a ball save let a little ball save it out it's ball safety yeah and they're like why why are you calling it that that sounds like a dig save to me okay nice she's got that Leslie's qualifying on Spider-Man no what was it it was like 200 million points the next highest was like 67. right and I'm like I wish I had seen this this game because I cannot get a hold of that Spider-Man at all did she get Battle Royale twice oh man I have no idea because I would have liked to see that too yeah um so going we we just watched barbed wire happen with mouse and around it looks like Kerry took that with a fairly decent lead and then we watched Spider-Man with Kaylee Vanessa Jane and Rachel before we switched on over to barbed wire so in terms of 6431 for group number one everybody is still alive everybody can still qualify and there's some very interesting um tiebreaker possibilities as well yeah yes where you could end up I believe with 655 and have a three-way tie back up his little gal again I'm just like I'm old enough that I can say I did have a game with a boss screen where if you hit F1 it would bring up a spreadsheet oh yep I remember those days all right so it looks like we are on Doctor Who with Kaylee oh she that was the one thing that I said I think she would have picked is Doctor Who so I'm excited to see her play this softer is she choosing she chose one she chose one which is the video mode doctor and also in her qualifying I do believe she had like I want to say she had almost a billion in qualifying come on come back so she had either the top scored like the top second score so the good news for Kaylee is no matter how she does in this game she's guaranteed at no she's not she's guaranteed at least a tie I believe okay so so she's but I don't think she wants that oh no knowing her um and she's an amazing player as well definitely a very good player all right so Rachel is up she started off with the first doctor as well um she is trying to go for her locks uh backhanding them has worked out better for me but you need a little bit of they're so far away control oh nice Dig Safe that's fine so Rachel needs a win and a little bit of help in order to advance yes the the Stars need to align a little bit Rachel needs to win and she needs to not have Vanessa finish seconds in order to advance um so on the left hand side you have those stand-ups and that is for your unlimited Millions she gets one ball locked that's awesome yes right sorry you can also change your doctors every single time you launch the ball without having to complete them so like right there when she launched her second ball she could have switched out the doctors which once you lock both balls I probably would switch over to the Seventh Doctor which is the to assist you to get your multiball faster it spots you shots oh nice nice wiggle there I had known this yesterday yeah I this is one of the first games I learned how to play Pinball on and so I dissected all of it she's trying to do a backhand so if she locks these two balls uh what about the next player do they how does that work so the next player then has to shoot the target the stand up Target in the middle yes in order to get a lock which is difficult as fudge yeah yes um there is a setting on Doctor Who where you can do virtual locks instead and it'll it'll release the ball every single time and we might be on Virtual locks we don't know we're not no because it would happen the minute you lock the ball oh okay yeah so it's not this is the mean the mean version of the stand-ups for everybody else so she can make it incredibly hard for everybody else and that's her last Escape letter so now video mode is lit and I know the video modes um it's like a little jumpy guy yeah yeah and so I I've memorized the entire thing oh you can memorize it yeah because it's the same thing over and over every time yeah it's it's short short short long long long not knowing this game was bad okay so I I could so you see how it's flashing again the well it was flashing for a hot second like uh like this guy was flashing okay and you can literally switch it over to the seventh one okay oh my God this is great yeah that's a very nice ball for yeah she set up a lot of stuff there she's got about five of her 15 uh targets towards multiball and she has video mode with and again she can still switch over to the Seventh Doctor on her next ball to help you know what I'm saying yes the the only problem is if somebody manages to get multiball right now out of like out of this with the stand-ups she would have to re-lock like she would have to re-put them in there lock stealing is real protect yourself yeah get that lube see this is the only thing I was doing and so that's your Playfield multiplier you can get your Sonic Boom from this but this this is super yeah this is super juicy if you can uh combo it with your with the start of your multiball because your jackpots are then like triple what they usually are so interesting so if Jane needs what three more uh side ramps in order to get her Sonic Boom yes she does sorry yeah so that would have been a lack if she would have been an earlier player but nice save there so what do you do here do you post pass do you shoot the W I would shoot the W uh that was an excellent choice nice backhand there to get your right flipper yep and then there you go backhand again that's what she's gonna do so she seems to have dialed that in she seems to know uh that that's a safe shot to do it's gonna feed it into the right okay so her Escape mode is lit for 2 million oh she tried to backhand it again didn't necessarily work there it is she's got one of them play field multiplier lips we're gonna hopefully it goes down the right side and not the left so there's a video climbing out the Playfield multiplayer yes okay so it's short short long long long and then you jump again and then you jump up and then you jump again to get an extra bonus at the end when he jumps into the into the um Tardis yeah okay sorry guys I'm not a Whovian but um that's okay so she can go ahead and continue to do her video mode which I would do if I were her but she could build her multiplayer back up it's it is a dangerous Strat at this point to do that but yeah she can definitely build up her Playfield multiplier um it's just there it is well uh she built up her video mode again oh night oh there we go oh she transmitted her doctor so she's got one doctor locked in she's got doctors one six and seven locked in what does that mean what does that mean it means that basically you have the benefits of those doctors for the rest of the game and then when you collect all of them it gives you a a decent bonus for all the doctors collected I really should have done it this game [Music] this was my worst game on the car that I submitted to oh but she got a lot set up um she's doing really well um yeah she's got some stuff set up good good but uh if she continues with her video mode and she can get the Playfield multiplier up um those can be worth a pretty a pretty chunk of change which is usually my strategy is to build up the Playfield multiplier play the video modes out and then rinse and repeat because you can you can basically so do video mode the multiplayer accounts support the video mode yes it counts for the entire shot that's a lot of okay this is great great strategies from the side ramp looks like that's what Vanessa's goal was oh that was a dangerous shot she was trying to do the video see that the only reason why I select one is so that I don't have to hit up those stand-ups like the stand-ups on the right hand side because it's such a dangerous shot so like guys they escape I don't know no eraser on wait eraser off there we go so like those stand-ups right there it's such a dangerous shot because it can literally like Ricochet out this way um but if you do the the first doctor you know and then you just keep on hitting that it'll okay you get two hits for the price of one okay nice all right oh nice nice building up the play field again here we go boom come on and slam and welcome to the gym oh damn so the reason to choose the sixth doctor is instead of going 1.52253 you go two three four yeah so it boosts your play field multiplier when you do it and then you also get slower Decay is the it the case really yeah so since Jane has that one locked is it forever that way no oh well she won't always get the benefit of doctor six yes okay interesting so now she's she selected her Seventh Doctor so she's gonna try to finish yeah she's gonna try to start her multiball now and it's the same deal here where it's two hits for the price of one nice because he chose that doctor correct oh my God and so this is the video mode once again say it with me okay so it's short short long long long so it's um it's one flipper for a short jump both flippers for a long jump so it's just short short long long long long and then you jump again into the Tardis and it gives you an extra 15 or 1.5 million I did do that once I did do I would I I didn't know it was the same every time well yeah each level is the same but like there's three different levels okay yep so there you go she starts it and to be able to gather the jackpot you have to hit all three Delux there's a right in here right right in here there's the arcs and you want to get them into uh each one into all three so she's gotten one because there's a pretty there's a pretty piecing but they're the nice oh no I was gonna say the nice thing about this is there's a grace period and there's also um if you don't collect a jackpot you can restart your multiball uh immediately without having to do anything by just locking both balls back up in there oh really like if you lock another ball it there's a timer that's counting down and then you can lock the next ball and then immediately starts your multiple again so if you don't get the jackpot you can kind of do that as well I do love Doctor Who notice that James multiplier kind of stayed at three three and a half from her last ball right oh man she did not get a ball safe that one went quick once yeah well again the good news is is that when you do well on ball one uh ball two sadness is slightly less sad yes that's true um slightly slightly uh this is still I mean I feel like this is still a that's a still a catchable score though it's not anyone's game right absolutely so she selected a second doctor a second doctor I believe increases the value of the far left orbit okay so she's doing her Playfield multiplier now she's going for it there's the Millions oh boy okay so that's the W and then you go for the h h and then the oh [Laughter] yeah but that was uh synchronized and we practiced it to contrary to popular belief so we were up at uh 7 30 for a reason in order to work on this yes yes no that was that was there you go so she's at three and a half there we go locks one of the balls yeah you got this nice thing again you see how it's flashing you can switch with your flipper to a different doctor in between every why don't we talk about multiball uh the way you uh start multiball is you spell Mouse trap and trap there on the left and the right which will allow you to get gotchard on the uh orbits you trap your balls in those Mouse holes on the on the left and the right you got yeah right here and then open here you can also shoot this orbit right here and it'll feed down here and it'll it'll spot you a letter um so you can do that it's scary sometimes another Strat is that you could soft plunge it and it oh you could soft plunge it and and spot yourself a letter if you're super close I did that one one round um I think that was the round that I that I had like my best score on it but I just I saw that I needed one more letter yeah and so I just saw plunged it in there and then locked my ball we're at 200 000 skill shot can mean a lot if the scores aren't no definitely it was it was a risky play for sure I'm not saying that oh me too me too so we have about 800 000 to about four hundred thousand so at this point I probably would just take whatever skill shot it would grant me I might also cheese out at this point in order to hit the right ramp repeatedly yeah that's my favorite thing to do 300 000. there you go there's the multiplier which can be big there you go gotcha so it's a locks and so then she can try and get the skill shot again which is also sweet oh there you go build up the multiplier which again can be huge so this guy's just an exterminator I guess he's trying to kill these mice yeah and then you got that mean old cat helping them yeah okay there you go okay so she wants to get her jackpot yeah she can skill shot it hopefully get that extra 300. there you go he wants to trap those balls again nice trap put it into the cheese ramp is that correct uh it is safe Crafters I do not understand it I guess it's a really weird game if you can get to the board game feature yeah you don't have to get it all the way to the vault in order to get multi bolts so you can just back out of the vault at any time you want and start a multiball we're shooting the ramp we'll give you your stash value and then you have to uh spin the wheel in order to relight the jackpot and also you can get more time with various other Shenanigans but it's a um it's a really interesting set of risk reward in terms of how far you want to get on the board game in order to figure out how high you want your jackpot to be yeah because if you get kicked out right you know then you don't get your multiball at all usually I'm just trying to get a token when I play yeah if you get the token you will also be successful because you won't have gotten all the way to the Vault you'll have a big jackpot yeah uh looks like they're starting to get set up I see Carrie Wayne stepping up to a the hype train let's get hyped so what's going on talk about advancement and score so we have two groups of four yes and each of them play three games and each game is scored four two one zero for first second third and fourth and the top two from each group will advance to the finals yes so thank you very much for the explanation there yeah thank you for the explanation oh I love safe crackers I am a weirdo it's a bitty little Playfield well thank you for the hive train you guys thank you for all the biddies can you Circle well let's let's talk about safe crackers so this is a weird game even for weird games indeed it is so plunging is not death in this game because you have a certain amount of time to play and you will see you will start with about 45 minutes on the clock there and um time will start moving down and every time you drain you might lose a little bit of time but not very much okay you can gain more time by getting the top three lanes so that's up here yes but your goal is you want to get a lock split from either the lit drop Targets on that top right and then on that side or what you could do is you can put the ball yes that one and the other one okay on the upper right there yes thank you very much Anna or what you can do is you can shoot the chair oh it's an Addams Family yeah um it's a vault anyway if you shoot it there when the yellow light is lit you will get one of those Awards yeah and you see how light lock is lit and she gets light locked so what I would do here is I would let it dip pass and then with the left flipper I would shoot the ramp just like that but you notice she is down to 10 minutes so she can and now five minutes so and now zero minutes so this could mean this could be very problematic because if she drains right now that is the end of her game and that is 51 000 which is a weird right it's such a weird game because sometimes you're better off draining and getting the ball back to the top in order to get more because I want these lips yeah so because the ball comes through and then you can you can switch all the lights and there's some other ways to earn time for example shooting the side flipper into the wheels yeah that will add more time if it goes in the little in Lane it's kind of like things flip if that thing doesn't flip type situation yeah there's a lot this is the flipper he's talking about yes this is a pleasantly weird game um yeah we will see if she does a lot of draining early on or if she kind of plays the game because again this game if you drain it's so weird because Kaylee got one ball yep we're gonna see Kate play that's very smart and she's just going to start getting those threes so she's got two over three lanes lit and she's just gonna drain and she's just gonna keep working on her time you see she's at 40 minutes she just added five minutes yeah but that was I mean was that five minutes of time doing that uh it's five minutes of game time I would say and um there's okay she's got her lock lids so we'll see you I see oh she almost has her Lockwood she needs to get that top right drop Target but I bet she drains again I also um hear soon we uh I know that Carl also talked about possibly getting someone uh that was eliminated um from from an earlier round to come and join us on on absolutely because I know you got to ask questions we gotta ask questions want to talk to them and we also you know want to want to showcase the the yeah all the excellent women players sure yep so the um the weird thing about this is that um case already passed Kayla she's already uh passed her score of 50 000. so oh I keep thinking she's gonna knock off that top right draft Target but that's what she keeps trying to do but she's doing okay by continuously punching and draining right um you know it's not a bad strategy it's it's a weird little game on and she didn't swing which means that she still has light lock lid at the ball but she's got luck with the old-fashioned way thank you for the Bitties guys and and you know what I I technically I agree um you know this strategy is definitely not exciting nor is it you know um the fun is I sure wish I had known this strategy when I played it because I I played it all the way through and it would have been helpful yeah probably would have been a little bit better on that um and it seems like if you break the drop targets like that yes you can you can continue to add time but she is now currently playing it so what you can see is um you see where main roof and solar are she can start a multiball by either giving it into any of those three shots yep these ones yes those are the which shots are lit so if she shoots it into there right where it is now she will start the board game oh in here yes so we are going to the board okay so what's happening in the board so the board your goal is to earn money in order to start a multiball so she has a very short path and her goal is to earn money and not get caught so we'll see if she can earn some money earn money okay so now she has a choice she can either continue or CP cluster 45 000 and now what she can do is she can shoot the ramp for 45 000 and then shoot the dial to re-light the ramp but she also gets four times by doing that yep so so controversial this is very divisive well because she got a free um she got her free lock because she got the light lock award when she already had Lockwood so we gave her a lot for Less we didn't have much it's in the bank shut the ramp so now her goal is to shoot the spinner on that right side in order to re-light multiball or we like jackpot sorry words are hard [Music] but now she's back she's got 25 minutes she's back in single ball playing I'm a ring her up we'll see if she drains or just trying to backhand the vaults I call it the chair sorry I know it was confusing to me she's got five minutes but that's okay because seconds is five minutes um right now I would say it's about 25. I think I think the I think Kate has a little bit of experience on Save cracker I do I do recall that this is something a game that she likes does she owned this game yeah like it was like close call so now she's at sudden death that she drains she will be out and the game said you're out no so with 550 000 oh no she didn't oh oh we gave her the um I didn't hit anything oh my God you're beautiful unvalidated Playfield but now because she's in sudden death the top three lanes give her a donut which worked towards her bonus and also allow you to bribe a guard right oh so if you get back up into the um board game you can drive right yeah but she's and she's got locked lips the computer will be disabled which means that the timer is suspended so right now we see drains it does not enter a game but she's going to try to shoot the ramp for last so that's good so now it's her second Monkey Ball so now she only has two shots available to start the game it's either the Vault slash chair or the sewer which is the shot to the left of the ramp or she could put another ball here yep and this is the chair yes or she can put another ball into the lock and get a more valuable I see the game does end she just uh has been fortuitous with her sudden her sudden death and her close calls um but thank you guys and there is there's the end why'd you gotta why'd you gotta uh cursor Gina Gina pins that was rude he just you just pulled that into fruition didn't you so 780. it was a very good game for Kate yeah well done this is kind of like um there's certain games where like you either get to multiball or you don't it's really hard to beat 780 000 if you don't get the most people so what she's basically put out a post and said You know here is the point where I am if you want to beat me you're going to have to get to multiple so let's see if Jazz plays the drain strategy doesn't look like she is looks like she's gonna play it out but well kind of but that's okay absolutely it's okay there's two out of three lanes for five more minutes yeah there's also the pops can add time um and you get more time for the pops if they're lit so let's see if she backhands the chair nope takes a ramp but she's already down to 20 min 25 minutes right but she's got locked lips I don't know let's see if you can get five more minutes I want to point out the left drop targets also Advance the lock whereas they're not lit so even see where it says light next lock yeah okay five more minutes for jazz she's back up to 25 thank you Carl that sounds like a Kaylee George type of thing to know um the uh the ramp is lit there you know but that's okay get your minutes back put it back up to the top try to get another five oh looks like she had a lane fumbled there but the uh the right uh yellow pop is lit though which will help her get a little bit more time and there's a lot so it's her first lock so she'll have the three options that kind of hole at the top The Vault or the sewer in order to start multiball or she can shoot Rock again and try to get a more valuable multi-hole so we'll see if she accidentally kind of gets it into the sewer or the roof yeah so that's the short laying thing again where she will have the option the kind of Advance not Advance take their multiball not take your multiball okay so it's it's free worst thing and she has no Donuts I'm sorry so 45 000 she Cashes in so the um hey John Durbin I also know how to drain the ramp will be lit for 45 000 and more time call me a professional trainer thank you so there's a jackpot 45 000 points and money so now she hit the little spinner on the side Spinner's been hit jackpot's three lit there's a little bit of ball save on the multiball so she's uh into two ball multiball we'll see if she can hit another ramp so close I'm very I'm very glad that this was a controversial uh conversation starter you guys and safe cracker is definitely an interesting uh addition to the bank I we understand how hard the feelings are for this game and and how divided you guys are but it is as you can as you can tell there are there are some some strategies to this game as we've been hearing so so she's got the wrong relit for a walk okay get down to about five minutes though now still five minutes but she's she can get some extra time for those cops like she's back up to 10 now now up to 15. so you know this is one of those times when draining if you wanted to it's not the worst thing because you might get some more she did it oh the right flipper died the right flipper died on her the ride flipper is dead the right Flipper's dead guys no yeah oh no they're gonna have to play a different game they're gonna have to play a different game yeah they might be able to fix this yeah they can fix it but she'll have to play again or something I don't know how you compensate for 15 minutes that's gonna be hard um the interlocks are disabled so opening the door would not kill the you know kill the game oh yeah absolutely yeah she was run she was doing real well you guys and um and you're right uh take a picture you're right Ross controversy does a creative conversation I was trying to have a conversation um I'm a fan of it was really funny because I saw the the name El Dorado and I immediately thought of the em but as I was walking up and I had signed I queued myself up for it I was like oh I've made a huge mistake this is this is the wrong El Dorado that I thought it was and so I had to yeah I had to play it but Mars Trek is one of my like Mars tracks meteor jungle princess slash Jungle Queen yeah um uh I want to say Argosy I really like yams like it yeah um I know that um I have a lot of stories of a lot of mad quote unquote professional pinball players that get mad at Classics uh when they drain and they're like oh yeah this is real good you know well game of luck here oh my God I have a volley at home that doesn't quite work that I love oh I love volley but I don't think there is a volleyball I have not seen one here um part of me wants to pick flying carpet because I used to play it in South Carolina I haven't played that one I'll have to check that one but but face time I also have to pick party animal just because that was that was the last game I played on Thursday night yeah and I had never ever played partying such a yeah it's such a weird little game but I just I feel like I need to talk to the both of you quietly to the side that just party animals is like oh there's a really good question they want to hear about how the Riverside Convention Center is as a venue what is your all's uh impression of this space it's very nice very clean very um pretty it's in a pretty area it's got a nice little strip it's got a farmer's market right now outside oh yeah like that's cool um I mean I have some cons if you want to hear those but let's go with the positives maybe so so we'll do like a positive run and then we'll do a Conroe yeah okay what's your positives um so this is actually my first indisk so I don't necessarily have anything to con it up about um or to compare it to I should say yeah um but I mean so far I like it I do think oh wait no we're doing froze first never mind it's so easy to say the con I was gonna I was gonna go into never mind let me see I haven't even started drinking you guys this is bad you know for me I I think this Center does a lot of the small touches well yeah there is a lot of water that was available there was a quiet room where you could kind of go and sit um going in there you know the ceilings are high which means that the sound doesn't bounce around as much because sometimes you give it a tight 10 foot ceiling space with a bunch of pinball machines and then all of a sudden you're debating do I want the Advil do I want the aspirin do I want the uh and then the tequila and I do and I do agree with you guys um that the proximity of food and and stuff like that is really really good here they have the Food Lab um connected to game lab uh thanks to Chuck Casey who's been running around like crazy um so that that's been pretty good um there's also a 24-hour Ramen Shop that was kicking I had a 24-hour round yeah right like right down the street and you just like walk down there oh my God it was so good yeah yeah that's where I'm going how is the turnout well let's go through our car what um no the facility is the the slightly less I mean obviously the Banning Museum was amazing there was sure so many em so many games it was just very fun to go and play all those games in between your tournament submissions and everything um and that you know that's not here anymore and that's now a weed farm I guess that's what I hear that's what we hear um but that is a bummer but uh the other big bummer for me is that they don't serve beer at the concessions team I know man I want to know how the how a pinball in a fighting game tournament can exist without alcohol yeah it's gonna be a lot of weed I don't know what you're talking about it's legal here I don't know what you're like we gotta stop talking like it's Taboo it's legal here it is legal here so I mean I meant not federally yeah restarting a new game with 15 minutes of time and I went through the VOD to see what the score was and her score is 490 400. so she's gonna get that they're gonna set the game up so it's 15 minutes of time remaining and play on wow okay that works out yeah mostly were you able to find the setting where you can set it for so many minutes at the start now they're going to be setting they're going to how are they gonna do that without recording you're just gonna hold the balls yeah gonna add the scores together the downside is she was on she had already played one multiball so at that point the timers do move faster yeah but we can't set that state up right right okay so did you guys hear that um uh I know you guys call him Uncle Carl so I guess I should call him Uncle Carl too I guess he's also known as robot Carl okay because I was just gonna say papa Carl but I don't know which one it is um but if you heard him they're basically starting her at what the VOD uh score was which I believe he said was 480 around 9 4 84. for a while I just got a weird accent I was like foreign 490. grazing it with the upper flipper sometimes oh interesting you know like I just kind of like I wouldn't call it flail I would call it a flipping with um carelessness but I would do that a lot and just hope that it kind of grazed those uh drop Targets on the way there yeah yeah I was I was trying to do some rebound drop targets hey sorry I just wanted to say hey really quick um I'm glad that you got your AC DC board that was that was a stressful time her poor Ellie was not working no yeah this is a really beautiful game the art on this game is what I love most about it that back glass is super 80s super beautiful it's pink and purple I want it it's got a lot of in my house you know that Nagel the Nagel that's exactly who it is yeah uh all right so we're in the pops so some weird things about this oh um the poker letters um cycle through all the way okay so if you hit that right button um uh you can cycle your poker letters like in a circle all the the p-o-k-e-n-r cycle uh-huh um and what else we got the drop targets I don't know what those do they just give us cards I guess but those little star targets those will start your timer for your 10x mode yeah um so the only thing that I will say is that what I figured from the drop targets was if you bring down the drop targets and hit the Joker cards underneath them it resets it and I believe it like builds up your card deck level is what I thought it did so I mean it's worth a lot of points and then when you hit the Stars you need to hit them you gotta hit them you have to hit the drop targets that's something I knew but I didn't but why but it hurts so bad when you do sometimes it does so part of my strategy during qualifying was just to keep it up top and cycle through those poker letters and that just kind of keeps the ball out of a stressful position for long enough for you to kind of get your breath and get a little you get some extra stuff by keeping it up there and yeah I did similar things nice spinner rip there this captive ball will up your spinner value yes yes okay so she's gotten to see oh nice nice shot with that upper flipper I never used that up that's scary okay so now she as you can see she's cycling through her poker in uh letters letters that's right yeah if you accidentally hit those things those big things you're going for in the middle it uh sends it right back yeah yes all right so now she has the Jokers flashing and she wants to hit the stand-ups to light them oh right when she started the yeah she did all that work it was still a good start though yeah great start um do you guys know what the the two cards do what do those do uh I know if you touched these guys oh the I don't know if it's like a spot like it's spotsy something okay I'm not super duper sure if the chat knows oh what a how to open this gate um I believe that gate uh I swear there was something that you did I think it's a twos maybe it's the twos maybe it is the twos [Laughter] yay we figured it out I feel like I hit those twos I can't never opened um does the spinner value hold between balls no uh I don't think so and that was very unfortunate for me yeah oh nice little tap pass there on the Fly oh she's starting to flail a little bit it's starting to get wild it's gonna get down shots often for the spinner to try to get it up top where it's safe I feel like hitting there it is hitting that up Top Shot I mean it's not the spinner but getting it up there off the right flipper is so much easier okay oh and there and but the gate was lit but the gate was lit okay it worked spicy amazing all right and so she's oh that you meant that shot right there okay gotcha so now she can cycle through all of her letters if she wants to I don't I don't know oh there we go she's starting to do it there you go yeah it's a little counterintuitive the way those all cycle all the way right oh and then unfortunately the gate was not lit so she ended up draining but that is still a solid uh beginning for Kaylee as well she's yeah she is a very consistent player which is yeah you know obviously why she shines so much uh on this style of qualifying like I said it was very horrifying to play this style um I'd never played card based qualifying before yeah and uh it's hard I went and cried into a pillow a hotel Pillow by the end of the night I cried in the shower I got lucky on my second card my second card came together and and I awesome we are jealous no I'm just joking my 18th card was okay uh I just always had one bad game and that'll just mess you up certainly oh Gene no I mean it's still still in it definitely still in it um the nice thing about Lady Luck is you I mean you truly can do everything that you know everything that you're hoping to do in just one ball you build up that captive ball just a little bit hit the spinner a few times and all of a sudden you're looking at a fairly decent score all right so Kate's got some control is she going for the drop yep she's going for the the drop targets dangerous dangerous drop dropping just drop oh nice little slap save there okay oh she missed it oh oh Butters stuff this is definitely a one ball Game yes um for sure you guys anything can happen anything can happen in in that one ball it's not like something else where you definitely have to start setting up stuff um or else you're in a hole this one is you can just drop those drop targets very quickly I accidentally pulled them down without meaning to one time [Laughter] it makes my Palms swim every time I started watching this you are absolutely right you get second on Rock third she got third on this game she's got a point okay yeah yeah she had zero coming into this one zero coming into this round so here we go let's take a look here curse oh yeah all right so we've got Kate tiebreaker Kate was at the bottom zero one so she's got one one point but okay so there's two fours and a five four five one hello you've got Carrie Leslie both have the four and Jasmine's got five and Kate has one right so this is still this is awesome that these four girls have made it this far already Yes and Rachel what did you end up about I ended up I went out in the first round okay but you qualified and that qualifying was tough it was tough so I'm somewhere between 10th to the bottom so I came out 35 out of 45. cover someone take barbed wire and she uh played a bold move and was like no I'm going first you know all right so she started one of the remotes and this is a classic Gottlieb where most of the modes are two ball multi-balls um and she has started that two ball multiball mode um I like this game I think it's ridiculous I definitely would like to get one of these just to measure I know it better yeah how do you how did you feel on it it's a fun game um it's awkwardly fun yeah um I don't I don't even remember how I placed on it but uh oh what a nice little slap save to grab those balls back she did an over under and try to separate them there you go broke you're I think she's trying to go for the lit Arrow shots right now which is like the the left and the right oh how'd you like this game when you were playing it I did not play it oh no you didn't play it oh that's right that's right we talked about this oh that's still a very good mode for Carrie's solid start because I feel like the average I was seeing was like what 400 300 400 million on this that's okay that was very decent start I think what strategies do you guys have on uh on card style tournaments for me I I like to play a card and then play basically an identical card right after that because I know how those games are playing at that time um I try to play different games are the same I suffered a lot from frustration and would just start playing whatever games were available at that time just so I could play them that is like right now for Classics as kind of the strategy you have to go over there yeah because they're just views are so long yeah and uh I personally would love to play EMS on those Classics but I know that that's not going to be possible at a certain point because like you said the cues are so long the wait time is so long all right well it's got the shortest line all right I'm gonna go for that one yeah we missed some really good usage of the post by Kate though she uh definitely got a handle on on getting that ball to like just come down and pop back up and uh it makes me very sad that I you know because I I too want to use the posts the way that she did had some great games in this last night and qualifying I was watching her play it for a little bit yeah uh pinball Gramps um what we mean by playing a card is this is a card based qualifying uh format so basically um you have a bank of machines and you you purchase these cards and um it takes you you get to play five games within that bank or four games depending on so like on Classics it's the top it's the four games but you basically play five games you choose them you play them and that's a card um it's not like a regular herb style where you um it just takes your highest scores from the top front you know your top four highest scores across all the games that you played this is more so like you just it takes your top card so the entire card the entire card these kind of tournaments really you need to be consistent because if you have one very poor game on a car that's enough to throw your whole card down and that's who's gonna qualify are the people that are more consistent consistency is key on this and uh uh definitely not the name of my game where herb is called The Pump It Down yes whoever's got the biggest wallet's gonna win or and that's not necessarily true because my favorite is watching Jared August come in like the day of finals or and you know like qualifying is only like gonna happen for like two hours he plays he pays for like one one round of tickets and he qualifies and I'm just like well that's rude you just have a definite good player yeah no he's a sweetheart yes it Awards consistency definitely hedge hedgson hedgson and and yeah OB John Kenobi I noticed that as well as I as uh I continue to play barbed wire usually it does give you um you know normally it gives you some points some some big points for hitting fat Fatso for your skill shot but I think it's only spotting you a letter in Haywire is what it's doing for currently yeah there's a there's a lot of things nerfed I don't know if you guys noticed but on Doctor Who they uh all of the different doctors aren't doing anything different they're all just yeah so you can't that might be the tournament mode yeah don't strategize on your doctor you just have to call video mode yeah it had been so long since I've played Doctor Who that I it's like oh forgot it a little bit yeah I think it was this guy that I liked playing you know yeah I'm like selecting them I don't see the lights changing too much you know what I too think that fatso was driven to villainy I mean that would be my villain origin story you know they just constantly shoot at me and call me fat Joe um it has anybody seen this movie no no have you yes you have oh my how was it was it was it a masterpiece it is so horribly bad it's funny was there a fatso I don't remember just part of it like it was I swear it was probably just about four months ago maybe we watched it and wow she is actually playing Hammerhead beautifully right now um and she's consistently getting that left orbit but I'm we were just talking about not being able to see this movie and just didn't want to finish last on barbed wire because I would like to have gone out with some actual touching the the ball with the flippers and I did I had a good ball three not quite good enough to catch up with Carrie's awesome score but decent yeah definitely watch the replays on that it was a super tight game that those uh Center post things bonkers just bouncing constantly it's like the best center post I've ever played on all right okay you can stand over here we're gonna get your award and then in third place who we got Jasmine Yasmine welcome thank you it was fun so you did the tie breaker with Leslie Ruckman on Monster Bash and before that it was just you guys were just grueling non-stop what was like the most crazy experience in this tournament I was very happy that I managed to start multiball and Spider-Man in the last ball which made it that I won that game and I think my highest score on Rock which is almost 3 million during the semi-finals which I think was the highest score of the whole tournament so those were some really nice moments and just playing with all these ladies here has always it's always fun Great accomplishments thank you so much congratulations you know stand over here where's um all right and Leslie come on down number two congratulations for second place how do you feel thank you good you know it's always I'm gonna make it to the top four everyone's good and deserves it so it was fun and you're used to making it into finals and dominating the charts I think you're in probably the top 300 of the entire world which is amazing um you have any tips for people out here to play better pinball I just do a lot of tournaments I don't know if I'd recommend it so well thank you so much and congratulations and last but
