## Analysis

Dead Flip streams live gameplay from the Dutch Pinball Pinball Open in the Netherlands, featuring an extended showcase of "Good vs. Evil," a head-to-head homebrew pinball machine built by Jan from Hanover, Germany and collaborators. The machine uses FAST boards and Mission Pinball Framework to deliver a competitive 1v1 experience where players attack and defend by completing objective-based modes that affect their opponent's playfield (blinding them, weakening flippers, adding balls/lives, raising drop targets). Multiple players compete throughout the stream, demonstrating the game's strategic depth and asymmetric challenge between the "Good" and "Evil" sides.

### Key Claims

- [HIGH] Good vs. Evil is a four-year homebrew project that took longer than expected because everything had to be built twice for the head-to-head format — _Jan directly states: 'It's our fourth year now' and explains the head-to-head design doubled the work_
- [HIGH] The game uses FAST boards and Mission Pinball Framework for hardware and software control — _Jack Danger confirms: 'And for hardware, you guys use the Fast system, correct?' and notes 'the MPF in there is handling a lot of crazy stuff' and mentions it could also run on P-ROC_
- [MEDIUM] The Evil side is harder to win on than the Good side due to playfield layout imbalance — _Player Labea states: 'Playing the evil side is just harder. I don't know what it is' and another player notes 'the side that always loses' referring to Evil_
- [HIGH] Multiple balls on your side are detrimental; the goal is to have fewer balls than your opponent — _Jack Danger explains: 'Oh, so you just don't want to drain. Okay' and later 'on this game, you don't want balls. You want the fewest amount of balls possible on your side'_
- [MEDIUM] The game has a tilt mechanic for individual players and currently has 2 tilts built in — _Jan discusses: 'he wants to play 2... Because theoretically he could shake the game and tilt you out also' and confirms 'we have 2 tilts in there'_
- [MEDIUM] The game includes a ball save called 'the Peter K.U. ball save' that lasts a few seconds — _Jack Danger describes: 'There's a ball save. It's the Peter K.U. ball. It's the ball save just for a few seconds'_
- [HIGH] Drop targets can stack up to seven on the opponent's side and respawn when knocked down — _Jan states: 'You can stack them in there every slot' and 'You can stack them up to seven. Oh yeah. And respawn actually, so you drop it down, it comes up'_
- [HIGH] The game has a bug where unlimited points are awarded if a player doesn't get a bonus — _Jack Danger notes: 'There's a bug in there in the points. If you don't get a bonus, you will get nearly unlimited points'_

### Signals

- **[event_signal]** Dutch Pinball Pinball Open serving as venue for showcasing innovative homebrew projects to live audience and streaming community; demonstrates platform value for indie designers (confidence: high) — Stream conducted live at event venue 'We Are Pinball building' in Troonen, Netherlands; Jack mentions 'walked around the entire event' and 'posted some photos' that generated community excitement
- **[design_philosophy]** Evil side playfield layout demonstrably harder to win on than Good side, acknowledged by multiple players and co-creator; indicates balance tuning in progress (confidence: high) — Labea: 'Playing the evil side is just harder.' Jan (co-creator) responds: 'Evil's the hard side, but we'll figure it out' and earlier Jan says 'Evil wins every time' suggesting over-tuned difficulty
- **[design_philosophy]** Head-to-head objective-based design inverts traditional pinball goals (fewer balls = better) and emphasizes player interaction over abstract scoring; represents alternative design paradigm in homebrew space (confidence: high) — Jack Danger notes: 'points, honestly, don't really matter. You just need to take the life away from the other player. Yes, exactly.' and 'on this game, you don't want balls'
- **[product_strategy]** Ball detection/traction system accounts for temperature and ball condition; machine automatically compensates for weak ball throw by weakening opponent response proportionally (confidence: medium) — Jan explains ball routing issue: 'it knows it breaks the throw of the touchdown. It was too cold for the ball to get it balanced. That's awesome'
- **[product_concern]** Known bugs in scoring system (unlimited points if no bonus achieved) and incomplete LED programming (some inserts lighting without game purpose); indicates work-in-progress status (confidence: high) — Jack: 'There's a bug in there in the points. If you don't get a bonus, you will get nearly unlimited points' and Jan: 'There are some LEDs here in the middle. They don't do anything at the moment. We haven't programmed them'
- **[technology_signal]** FAST boards initially chosen, later switched to P-ROC due to a specific issue; developers pragmatic about hardware swaps within same software framework ecosystem (confidence: medium) — Jan: 'we had it on the T-Roc earlier, so we'll go with... You just went fast because whatever. At that point we had a problem with the T-Roc and then we switched'
- **[technology_signal]** Good vs. Evil demonstrates Mission Pinball Framework maturity in supporting complex competitive multiplayer mechanics; shows feasibility of open-source MPF for full game design beyond simple mods (confidence: high) — Game handles dual playfield control, attack/defend mode logic, individual player tilt, synchronized animations (pulsing inserts with triple LEDs), life meters, and objective tracking across 6 modes

## Transcript

Hello, check, check, ladies and gentlemen, hello, hello, hello, can you hear me, can you hear me, hello, hello, yo, not a flying toy, what's going on, can you hear me okay, It's going to be kind of loud in here. I'm not using my condenser mic. And also the lighting is going to be very dramatic. Can you hear me not a flying toy? Loud and clear. My man. Alright, ladies and gentlemen, I'm going to give everyone a few minutes to pile in. I'm going to let Discord know that we're live, and then we're going to go through the whole thing. We're going to be battling on the Good vs. Evil pin. Give me one minute to just tweet that we're about to go live here. Finally, the fun part. I'm going to let everyone know we're live, and then they can all pile in. All right. All right. Tweeted. Okay. Okay. Ladies and gentlemen, if you can hear me, please type sandwich in chat. Hey, everyone. I'm stoked to see you live, Misty. Yeah. Man, I'm sweating my butt off. Hey, everybody. Rolling in. What's going on, folks? Good to see you. So, we are at the Dutch Pinball Open here in Troonen? Troonen? Troonen, Netherlands. and we've been, you watched today as I walked around the entire event on my cell phone, we even saw a few expos, but I posted some photos of a pinball machine homebrew game that everyone was sort of freaking out about, so I figured we'd stream it. It took every ounce of gear that I have, so the game will look good, my face camera looks a little crunchy, not much I can do about it, doesn't matter, but I would like to talk to the folks that made this game. My man here, what's your name for the internet here? Jan. This is Jan? Yeah. And where are you based out of? Hanover, Germany. Hanover, Germany. Okay, damn. Probably 400 kilometers from here. So how long? 480 miles or whatever. Okay, yeah, miles to get, I don't, I'm a stupid American, I don't know none of that stuff. So what made you want to do this? So basically we had a beer and we decided, I mean he had an idea, and the next day we thought it was still a good idea and then we started ordering cards and that's what came out. Obviously you need to do something special, so we decided to do a head to head. But at that point we didn't realize that it means that you have to do everything twice. So we took a lot longer obviously then, because it's our fourth year now. So yeah, that's what happened. This thing looks great. Well, I say we should just hop into it and start blowing this bad boy. I love your lockdown, Buck. Yeah, we didn't make it. No, hey, I'm familiar with it. I'm familiar with it. So this is a two-player game. Yeah. So someone's going to be on that end of the game, but you're only going to have a face camera for the player over here. If you would like, I would like you two gentlemen to battle, and if you could explain some stuff that you're doing. Okay. You can play if you want. How about I'll play, and then you just talk into the mic about what the hell I'm doing. Yeah, yeah, we can be excited a little bit. Awesome. That's no problem. Let's do it. So for the display, since there's a display on either side of the game, I obviously don't have enough cameras for that. So we aimed a camera at the computer that is running the mission pinball framework that controls this whole game. And for hardware, you guys use the fast system, correct? And there's a lot of fast games over there too. and yeah, the MPF in this is handling a lot of crazy stuff, so I'm excited to play with it for sure. Alright. Yeah, I mean, it could also run on the T-Roc, doesn't really matter actually. Sure. And we also had it on the T-Roc earlier, so we'll go with... You just went fast because whatever. At that point we had a problem with the T-Roc and then we switched, and we never switched back actually. Okay, fair enough. That's the reason actually. Now, the game over there is a little better lit. We have a big hot spot right above us that we can't do anything about. But it's the exact same game. So just look over there or here. It doesn't matter. So, all right, let's start this bad boy. Yeah, let's just press start. And now, basically what the game does is it feeds a ball over there, and now the game starts. And now you're supposed to shoot stuff. Now you mentioned the dots on the slingshots here. That's actually your lives. Left side is your lives and that's his lives actually. Okay, cool. So the yellow dots is how many balls are in play. Oh, okay. So you've got two ones now and he has one. Oh, it knows how many are on either side. Yeah. Oh, that's great. So he's a... So he's kicking my butt. Yeah, he actually is. So you can shoot over on the middle and on the left, Ramir, like you did. hit like you did. If you lose your last ball, you instantly get a new one. Also if you shoot it over. Then there's some modes. You already started one, I think. The right one? Yeah, it's a good one. So now he gets two more balls. Oh, it added more balls to his side. Well, actually, balls are a bad thing on this game because you can lose them. So multiball is not like a multiball on an ordinary game. Oh, so you just don't want to drain. Okay, Okay, there you go. What side am I on, evil or good? You're on the evil side. You can go be evil, you can spell it. Let's go boys. Now you're in mode selection, actually you can choose one out of six modes. Which one screws them the worst? The middle wrap. The middle wrap is a good one, but it's not a mode. The yellow one is fun. Actually, it turns his playfield yellow, so you cannot see what he is going to shoot. The far left orbit? Oh, come on, baby. Oh, damn. Wait, my life is on the left? Yeah, that's not a good thing. No, I'm getting screwed. Wait, so the guy I'm playing right now... He's good. Did he have anything to do with the game? Yeah, he can shoot balls all the way. No, I mean, did the gentleman I'm playing, what did he do on the machine? Nothing, but... He just kicked my ass, that's all he's doing. Yeah, he complained about the flipper power earlier. Okay. That's what it is for. So I just made all of his stuff go crazy. Yeah, but you're living your last life, so... Yeah, I'm trying to... It's not a good thing. I'm trying to play it cool here. Yeah, so... And that's it, that's it, that's it. No, no, no, no! I'm alive, I'm alive! No! That's how it works. So now after I walk out... Loser! That's your time, actually. Dude, that's freaking sweet. Alright, we gotta do this again. I wanna see, uh... I wanna see you guys battle. Okay. I think you got a collection of balls in the trough over there Oh yeah, I got it, yeah Now I have to win? Yeah, beat him I tried my very best So, yeah folks, what's cool about this is not only are you battling each other but there's things you can do to screw the other person Oh yeah, he's all piled up So there are certain modes that will disable the flippers. What are the different modes that are in this? So there's a mode that will turn the other opponent's playfield yellow so they can't see what they have to shoot. In the beginning of the game, you can shoot every lane. Every single lane has a separate mission. You have a mission to make the flipper fingers of the opponent weak. You have a green mission you can add life to yourself. The middle ramp, there's a lock on the other side. You can lock up to three balls and the opponent can defend this attack with hitting the dragon. And you have to shoot the scoop to activate the attack. There's a red mission, there you can do a double attack with two balls, so you can give more pressure to your opponent. On the left I guess is adding troops. You can place the drop targets up so you can protect your own side if you shoot the left ramp. Oh wow dude, that's awesome. So you're not just attacking but you can defend as well. Yes. There are some missions to defend. Okay, the game is going now. Alright, good luck. Break a leg. So normally I try to shoot the middle ramp in the beginning. That's the most powerful. And of course the left ramp directly to the opponent is pretty strong too. But at the moment I don't hit it. Yeah, that's the perils of talking while playing. There you go. So what do the lit lanes do in the out lane? Nothing. Great. Just blinking at the moment. Okay, cool. Just blinking. There are some LEDs here in the middle. They don't do anything at the moment. We haven't programmed them and we have no idea what we should do with them. Awesome. Yeah, Internet, we only have a camera on us right now. Like I said, this took a lot of my gear. In fact, more gear than I kind of had, so we've only got one camera to put on us. So points, honestly, don't really matter. You just need to take the life away from the other player. Yes, exactly. There's a bug in the point. If you don't get a bonus, you will get nearly unlimited points. Oh, okay. So now I have locked in two balls, three balls. Now I can shoot the vertical app kicker to attack him. And Internet, you'll notice that you see how one insert is pulsing like that? There's actually three LEDs inside of one insert. Yeah. The arrow inserts have three LEDs. Yeah, that's awesome. So they can animate just one insert, which is pretty sweet. Now I activated the mission who makes his flip up fingers weak. Oh nice. But I have to shoot the left. You have to shoot the left one? Yeah. Oh. A little bit too strong. Now he's attacking me. Uh oh. You're under attack. Yeah. Okay. attack. Is that orange blinking the warning? Yes, it's the warning, but at the moment it can't tilt because we don't know how to handle it because he wants to play 2. Oh, because theoretically he could shake the game and tilt you out also, so handling individual tilt might be a little difficult right now. Yes, but we have 2 tilts in it. Okay, cool. I tried to shoot the right ramp up. Yeah, internet. The people on camera are the left camera. Or the left play field. With the big hot spot on. That's it. Oh, he won. Yeah, I won. My man! Winner! Well done, bud. Thank you. Alright. Keep it going. Fight the champion. Fight the champion. Okay. I'll let someone else get in here. Anyone? Yeah, go for it. Alright. Thank you. I'm going to have to come to Germany and screen this in better lighting conditions. Okay, you're always welcome. The room we are building this machine, we have a lot of light, it's pretty nice, but maybe we have to leave it within the next... This is just like this one brutal hot spot. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So there's a ball save. It's the Peter K.U. ball. It's the ball save just for a few seconds because sometimes it just peaces to the brain. Oh, okay, cool. That's fine. Nice shot. The blue light shows the drop target on the other side. Now we have one drop target on the other side. Oh, the drop target on the far left there. That's Hugh Keaton. Oh, nice. And he just added another one. But she knocked it down, so it went away. Okay, cool. Wow, that's awesome. You can also stake them in every slot. So, Internet, you'll see he has a blue light here. we're talking on the left playfield, there might be a glare on it, but every time he hits a blue light, it adds a drop target on her side. So now she has two drop targets up, and as she knocks them down, those lights will go away. See, she just knocked one of them up, and he came back up because he shot it again. That's pretty great. That's pretty good. You can stack them up to seven. Oh yeah. And respawn actually, so you drop it down, it comes up. Oh, so he just got, look at that. And the blue mission gives you a lot of troops, so. Oh great. It's very powerful. Now you start to attack mode actually, it's flashing in green now. And if she doesn't hit the toy, then the balls will be ejected along the line. Oh, then she gets a bunch of balls dumped on her. Yeah, that will be bad. And it looks like he's winning now, but let's see. Yeah, you're still under attack. Oh, yeah, there's that drain you were talking about, yeah. Yeah, sometimes it happens, unfortunately. You rusted it again. That looked intentional. You also cannot cradle the ball for too long. If you do it, it will disable the flip. Oh, nice. Great. Otherwise, it would be a good tactic to not cradle it for the whole time. Yeah, Internet, multiball is bad. You don't want multiple balls on your side. You want to get rid of them. Ah, he's winning. She has both her lives in play. So she has two more lives left. Oh, one. She has one more life. So she can't drain any more balls. No. That's it. That's awesome, man. So now, winner. Good game, good game. I should probably close my gear. All right, I got to give this another go. All right, folks. We're going to win this. Who am I battling? You're going down, buddy. Oh, yeah. Sorry. I forgot there's a language barrier. Okay, cool. Like I'm threatening him and he's waving at me. Okay. Okay. That's bad, why do you have to get a new one? It's hard to get now, okay, not that hard to get on the board. There we go. Up the middle, up the middle, up the thing. These drop targets though. There's some drop targets for you buddy. No don't give me balls. Oh wait. He's crazy. Yo. Oversoft thank you for the sub buddy. So you got a few balls. You can have the front of the ball. by shooting the pink one? or the purple one? oh, all the way over there took it back Come on baby Shoot earlier you ding dong. This multiball is going to kill me. Oh that is an early shot. Where is it? He's kicking my butt! There it is. Oh turds! Come on baby, get up there! Get up there! Wait, what do you need? What do I want? What do I want to shoot? The green one? The green one and the purple one. Okay, cool. Basically, that's magic. Yeah, person on cam is on the left. Man, I love that left orbit. I just keep shooting it. All right, so the Dragon. All right. Sorry, buddy. The tube is very powerful now. Oh, the green? You cannot backhand it. I didn't notice that I couldn't backhand it until last second. Boom! Now the red arrow on the left. Now he has weaked up a bit. Sorry buddy. Oh, you mean it's so weak that it's completely dead. All right, we, well, that's overpowered. I love it. That's not how we planned it. Okay, that's not how we planned it. Boom! Boom! Got it. Evil wins every time. Good game, brother. Good game. Here's the thing. When I first played this, and you were sort of explaining it, it didn't really make sense to me what the hell I was doing. But having you sit here and telling me what the hell I'm actually shooting for, like, there's so much strategy with, like, throwing up some drop targets, or, like, making sure you're stopping his flippers from doing his thing, or, like, trying to catch up. And also that green thing was giving me life? Is that what was happening? No, you're starting your attack. Okay. Something gives me life on this. Yeah. Right? I think it's part of it as well. The right orbit gives you light, but it's very difficult. Okay. It's very powerful. Yeah. Yeah. So basically what you do is, you shoot the middle. Yep. You put balls into the lock on the other side. And then after you lock three balls, you start the attack here. Okay. You see the lock, the balls locked in the lane. Oh. So every ball locked on the opposite side, you see green light. Oh, great. That's awesome. You're going down, buddy. I need a rematch. Now that I know how to play this stinky game. Let's go. Double drops. Get up there. Get up. Oh, come on. Booyah. Number one. Don't drain. I need you, ball. Bratisimo! Boom! Oh, come on! So he asked why the ball is going this way, the shooter, and they're just training. It's because the machine is too bad at balls. Oh, so it knows. Okay, it knows. It breaks the throw of the touchdown. It was too cold for the ball to get it balanced. That's awesome. That was a strong game. Wait, did you beat me? What the fuck? I didn't do anything in that game. I love you, too. He's unstoppable! I thought I was doing so well I'm hitting the things! Damn it! Alright, let's get some more people up in here. Yeah I got my butt whooped. So yeah folks, what you're looking at is Evil is on the left, over here, where I am. That's the left. And good is over there on the right. See the progress here. Man, this game's pretty sweet. I got screwed that last game. Oh, man, this guy's making all the shots. So how do you tell the progress of each mode that you're working your way up to? So he's currently in this top mode here, this yellow one. Yes, exactly. Okay. That's the blinding mode. If you resolve it, you can blind your opponent. The whole play field is yellow. Oh, great. Great. Do you want to know something more about the other mode? Do you want to know something more about the other modes? Yeah, so anytime he shoots the blue lane he's going to get a drop target even if it's not lit. Yes. Okay, okay, that's what I was being confused about. I didn't know if he had like several modes going but anytime you hit it you're raising a drop target. Exactly. Awesome, okay. I'll get that out of the way, sorry dude. That's the only ramp who is active all the time. The other ramps are inactive during the other moments. Oh, okay. Okay. So at the moment, just the yellow light is important for him, and the red light. There you go, Internet. You can see Goode's playfield is all yellow, so he doesn't know what the hell to shoot for. Yes. Now he finished the mode, and he can start the next one. At the moment, it doesn't matter which ramps he hits. He can activate every single ramp, hitting it three times. How long does his side stay yellow? I don't know, maybe 10 seconds? That looks like 10 or 15 seconds Yeah man Homebrew It's pretty cool too because it's all like sort of objective based attacking and these are life meters for you and the person you're battling Now he has weak flipper fingers Oh now his flippers are weak because he got hit with that Alright, yeah that's pretty cool Oh yeah It has to be And you can't just sit there and track Oh, wow, they're really weak. That's awesome. And now they're back. Okay, cool. That's pretty sweet. Oh, yeah. So every shot is associated with something. So where those blue arrows are, every time you hit that, it's lifting a drop target on the opponent's plate. Yeah, so you'll see he has three drop targets over on that guy's side. But they go away as they get knocked down. The yellow mode completely turns all of his GI and lights yellow, so he doesn't know what the hell he's shooting at. There's the one that he did where it makes your flippers really weak. There's one that I believe just dumps a bunch of balls on the other side. So you lose life every time you turn the ball. And you can see how many balls are on either side by the yellow light. So that player has two balls over there, and this player has one ball over here. But he only has three lives left. It's giving you a hint of what's going on. Right, yeah. So you still have an idea of what they're playing with. So now he has three balls. And if he drains these, he's going to start losing lives. So he just lost that ball. He lost two lives now. So if he loses this ball, the other player wins. Yeah. And I think that was it. Yeah. Yeah. And it will say loser or winner on the respective side. Not too harsh. Yeah, right. Dude, that's awesome. Did you win again? Maybe I need to play on good. okay try it you want to play the other side? let me play on good yeah okay I'm gonna play this one later I'll play you later please yeah so, Labea is now battling Jack let's see if he has a chance not at all That's the tilt, if it looks like this, it's the tilt Oh the third row, what's it going time? Oh, I was just gonna do a transfer slash ...not per post Thank you. Oh, now it's even. Now it's even. Nice shot. so oh again Oh, there you go. Oh, what did you do? That's the red mode, I guess. No, we've lost it! Oh yeah! Oh, Jack has to squeeze the bus. Oh no, please don't! One more then. Yeah, one more. No! Oh, it's closed! There it goes. Ah. Oh. Oh! Did it flop around enough? I did! Great man, eh? I was flopping around like a dead fish over there when I had those flip flippers. Did you shoot over to the other player? Yeah, that's kind of the idea. Oh, you want to go? Look at this guy! I guess it was a good run, right? Yeah. Third game? Let's go. Yeah. Let's see. This was the bad side, right? That's the evil side. No, the side that always loses. Yes, because of the layout. Okay. Let's see. Whoa, whoa, that's evil, that's evil, that's not that tank, ah, that's just not that tank. Do you have any shots of capo? Evil still never wears? Yeah, I'm looking bad here. Haha Damn! Oh! It's attacking you again And that's again Oh! Ah, thank you Keep on climbing! Ah! Oh no! Two don't last! Ah! You did it! Playing the evil side is just harder. I don't know what it is. Wait, what's this, 2X? Oh, nice. This is go, but you don't need it. That's awesome. Evil's the hard side, but we'll figure it out. You guys ready? Here we go, Internet. Nailed it. First ball. Nailed it. Second try. Third try. Alright, we're done shooting for that. Drop target. Some of that. That wasn't ready. Oh, get up there. Pew. Oh, come on. Don't go that way. No. All right, good. Good. Whoa, I felt that shake. Oh, you son of a... So what does hitting the dragon do? What does hitting the dragon do? Yeah You have to stop there. OK, great. But only if you are, if you are this linky green, you are under attack. OK. Then you have to choose the drink. Awesome. Come on, come on evil. Come on evil. No, stop drinking. Oh God! You already finished the green mission. There has been added some life. Oh nice! And now you can do a double attack to finish the red mission. Got it! Oh you can backhand that for sure. Give me a hand Give me the ball No All right here we go Right here Bam Bam Bam! Bam! Let's go, Evil! Dude, that is awesome! Please, get in here. Duke it out. Yeah, go for it! Ladies and gentlemen, this is a head-to-head pinball machine called Good vs. Evil. It's a homebrew machine made with the fast boards, and they're using mission pinball framework to do it. And it's all objective-based, so completing all the yellow shots will activate a mode that turns the other person's playfield all yellow so they don't know what the hell they're shooting for. Shooting the blue ramp will bring drop targets up on the other person's side. Shooting the purple one makes their flippers weak. There's several different things that go on here, but every time you lose a ball when you're supposed to when you when you lose a ball like as an actual problem of you not flipping correctly, there's life meters on the left and the right. So her life is on the left. The other player's life is on the right. And the red dots are how many drains you have left until you're dead. And the yellow light that's on there dictates how many balls you have on your side. So you'll see she has two lights, three lights now because he's hitting her with certain modes that are giving her balls. Now she's really close to her purple mode, which is going to make his flippers weak. And you see she has two balls and he has two balls. She has one ball now, and he has one ball now. The yellow thing is actually the toe. Oh, that's the toe? Cool. It doesn't do anything for me. Uh-oh, something fell over there. Alright, she's got one or two more shots to purple things so she can get up that ramp. I believe she's close. Nice save, wow! Yeah, earlier today we had a kid here and he met all of us. Oh nice! He was really good. He was crazy good. And yeah, his mom has the taker. Oh, okay. Tom has to take him. Oh, okay. I'm doing too well. All right, so she keeps sending balls over to his side. And on this game, you don't want balls. You want the fewest amount of balls possible on your side. So she has three balls. All right, so she has only four lives left. But you see he's got the weak flippers over there. So he's trying to flip over there but it's like super weak. See that? I can't zoom in on anything Tater Salad. I'm using all of my gear to get what you have right now. I was not prepared to do a head-to-head game like this. Basically the lives are on the bottom of the DMD. Okay cool. Oh so it's 3 to 3. So they're tied. B is how many balls are on the playfield and T is how many groups you got in reserve. Okay. Oh nice. So they're tied in lives but he has 2 balls on the playfield which is a deficit right now. You're talking about the score display I'm seeing already. Right. Oh, you want me to zoom in on that? Okay. All right, she's winning. But she has two balls, so she has to be careful. He has two balls too. You're good, you're good. Just don't lose any more balls. first person to drain where is the plume? first person to drain Chua! Überwitz! Überwitz! You are a little bit too fast oh I mean I am not a super-specialist I am always ready but then I am just a little bit too fast I am very super-specialist There we go All right You can basically choose your model, you already chose the perfect one now. Oh no! Tialis, the points have no bearing on it. It's all about fives. Yeah. Ah, nice. All right, we're tied right now, ladies and gentlemen, 5-5. But player good only has one ball. Player evil is sitting with two balls. So, yeah, on the DMD, you can see the lives, how many balls are in play on each side. That's pretty cool. That's pretty cool. I don't know the BAM sound, and the view and the BAM sound is actually my girlfriend. And I don't know from this that it stays there. And initially we had the BAM sound in the main shops. Yesterday after one hour we got so annoyed, we changed it to just the red one. Okay, cool. We got a close game here, folks. Clear goods. Falling behind. Two balls left. Oh, no. Oh, no. Goes the tilt. Nice. 3-2 3-2 Oh no, player good as one, we're all left Damn, phew Okay, now it's getting interesting Uh oh He got his life back So there is a mode where you can get a life back, ladies and gentlemen, and he did it. So now we're tied again, 2-2. Oh, they're both 1-1! Oh my god! No! No! Oh, man! Dude! Great job, man. All right, I got to do another battle, but I need the good side. I need the good side. Okay. Okay, ready. BANG! Our points do not matter actually. Not really at least. BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! Hahaha Ohhhh Haha, oh well if you're kicking his butt Oh, you got three? Oh, you got three. Where did you find those? Oh, no, no. Oh, no. Oh, no. Great flippers. That's so good. Oh, that's a purple boat. That's gone. I don't know if he is still in the lap I don't want to see him I said there is no way I don't need that What is it? That's not worth it I got one Oh, that's a good one Thank you Thank you Let's wait Come on, man Come on, man Come on, man Yeah. Oh! One on one! One on one! Oh! No! I feel that! I feel it. I feel it, man. That was close, man. No. Whoa. Yeah. Jonathan, have you played this yet? Okay. Good battle, man. Holy crap. Woo! I just wiped my butt off right now. The bad view is the good view. Yeah, that's what he was saying. That's awesome. I'm not battling you. Jonathan, get over here. The red blowing off your face. It's menacing. I like it. I never played this book yet. Just shoot what's blinking. You'll do great. If it's blinking, you'll do great. It's not up there. Just follow the lights. Okay. Shooting blue stuff will lift up drop targets on his side. Shooting green stuff will send balls over to his side. Just shoot stuff. You're doing great. Okay. Do you have an idea when you're going to have to go back to the hotel? Whenever you want to buddy. When did I go live? When did I start the stream? Like an hour ago would you say? I don't know. Internet can I get an uptime? Oh okay. Go ahead and hit the start button. We got no idea. Thank you Peter. Still about an hour. I could probably call it after like 1 or 2. after like one or two years. So we can offer you a good German beer if you want. Oh, I would love a good German beer. I've been drinking Heineken all night. I need something. OK. Oh, my man. Thank you, brother. Yeah, we need to open it up. Rocco, or whoever asked, the left side is evil and it is the face cam. Yep, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Oh, okay. All right, cool. As far as the life on the scoreboard, On the right hand side is evil. I know it's a little confusing. I probably should switch the cameras. Oh, they take started, nice. Ah, now you get a quick flip up. and evil on the right hand You know anything Yeah Yeah That right So the stream today, as far as streaming this is concerned, we only wanted to be in their way for about an hour so we're approaching that one hour mark we probably got one or two more games left and then we're going to shut this down we got a whole day of streaming ahead of us tomorrow I think tomorrow we're actually going to be streaming games instead of just walking around and then we have the finals to stream that evening so thank you for hanging out folks make sure you check this game out Good vs. Evil, the homebrew game fast boards and Mission Pinball framework Oh damn it, no, no. She's wrecking you, sorry. Weak clippers. Ah. That's actually a bug. You already lost, but if you're on weak clippers and you lose your last ball, then they stay on. It's a bug. Two more left. Yeah, but you're still awesome. I dare you to flip it. It's actually really a box. If you're on a week's difference, and you're loose, you stay offensive. That's embarrassing. I love it. JM Rainwater, thank you for maintaining membership to the league. You're amazing. That's hilarious. You win? We got time for like one or two more games if someone wants to get on here. I don't know. Hey. What? What? Get out there. Get out. What was it? Get out. Okay, I'll give you one. Oh, okay. That's your wallet. Yes, I'm Brandon. Thank you for two months in a row. I'm doing my best to swing this game with all this camera gear. It seems to be working out pretty well. Yeah. It's giving a lot of fun. The beer's open. The beer's open. I'm still incredibly tired, but it is what it is. I lost my voice. There you go. Well, it's all sign language from here. You know, this one. Like a seven-year-old. A lot of bicycles. Yep. A lot of bicycles. We took a boat tour, and I live-streamed it so the Internet could also see it. It was awesome. And they said that one car a week drives into that harbor. One car a week. And that would send women. Okay, fair enough. What are the rules here? Oh, rainwater. I guess we could go through them again if you really wanted to. Or you could just sit back and watch people duke it out. But the game's objective based. So each shot is color coded and making enough of said shot will activate different modes that affect the player that you're battling in a negative way but there's also a mode that you can get that will give you more life so you'll see on the on the slingshots dictate how much life you and your opponent have and how many balls are on either side we can also see on the DMD there it'll say there's the the good side has three lives left and evil has six lives. And it also says the number of balls on each side too. Thank you. Now you've got six moats on the bottom. What's wizard mode? Yeah, and the wizard's wizard mode... You and the other person actually step aside and start throwing fists at each other. One of the swords just comes out and you're like, let's go. Nobody actually made it here. Okay, good to know. I had one kid which actually made the remote. Oh wow. That guy was really good. But besides that I already saw Alex too. Yeah, J.M., this is the only prototype. And it's connected too. It's one giant cabinet. Now you can separate for transport capacity. Oh, there you go. You can unscrew it and then it's just like two-arm machine. Oh, nice. Otherwise you would never have gotten it yet. Oh, that's fair, yeah. Alright. It's all good. So, uh, player good over there has one life left, so he has to make sure he doesn't drain. You lose life by draining balls. Oh, he completed the mode for... Oh, he got some light. Yeah. No, there's no black balls in here. The lighting is very Zac Stark in here, so we're sort of just dealing with what we can right now. You got them all stuck? Yeah, we got the guy. He's all... He blew it up. Nice, man. Great job, dude. Yeah. I heard you were kicking everyone's butt on the stage. Yeah, I should have. Yeah, we might have to get a game in with him. We got the ringer here, and I think he's maybe three feet tall. Buddy, he's a genius. Oh! Oh! Well done, Sasha wins. I think we gotta get this guy up on here. Yeah, you gonna battle? You're gonna battle me. You're gonna battle me. So, Deca's going to get his ass kicked now. It's a lot of work to have two machine together. It's a lot of work to have two machine together. It's a lot of work to have two machine together. Double input is a great one-time game. Oh no! Oh no! You won, yeah. You need revenge. I had a bit of a malfunction there. Yeah? I was just sort of hanging out. Okay, then it's revenge? You want to swap it outside? No, no, no. Okay, same side again. You beat him. You beat him. Damn it! Let's jump! Damn it! Must wait a bit, I'll be right back. Thank you. Yeah! Oh my god! It's nice! Oh my God! Hey guys, congratulations! Again! Are you ready? Yeah! Good luck! And it's ball safe. And it's ball safe. You're waiting for one though, right? Oh, there it comes. Oh, he's giving you the weak limits again. Ah, there you go. Yes, thank you. Awesome, there we saw the peck. Ah, perfect. See you! Oh... Just took a left ramp actually... Yeah... See you! Yeah, see you later! Oh no! Oh no! Awesome! Great freaking game, man. Great game. You did awesome. And now tell us how old you are. He's 12 years, people. 12 year old kicked my butt and then gave me a run for my money. Dang. Alright, ladies and gentlemen, thank you for coming. Thank you for letting us play this awesome game. Where can they find out more about this machine as you're building it? That's a pin-sized red. It's called... Head to head. Good for the civil, I guess. Okay, thanks. In the homebrew section. Right on. Yeah, that's awesome. Well, thanks again, Internet. Thank you for watching. Sorry the lighting in here was ridiculous, but... You know, what are you going to do? Tune in tomorrow. We're going to be playing all sorts of different games. But I wanted to make sure we got this streamed first and foremost. So, guys, thank you so much for having me. Appreciate it. Awesome. What's going on, brother? Good to see you. All right. Have a wonderful night. I love you. Don't forget to sub. And I'll see you tomorrow. Goodbye. Bye. Bye.
