## Analysis

Dead Flip hosts gameplay footage from an Iron Man pinball tournament day, featuring extended play-by-play commentary with frequent tangents about game mechanics, rubber types, weather conditions, and community banter. The hosts discuss multiball rules, ball stuck situations, shot sequences, and provide detailed technical observations about playfield conditions and component quality.

### Key Claims

- [HIGH] In actual tournaments, if a ball gets stuck during multiball, you must either shoot for it or call someone to get it out; you cannot play multiball with only one ball and claim full multiball scoring. — _Direct statement about tournament rules during stuck ball situation_
- [MEDIUM] Stern defaults to Shane Black rubbers on their machines, which are more durable but create more dust/dirt on the playfield. — _Technical discussion about rubber composition and Stern's default choice_
- [MEDIUM] Dick White rubbers are softer and bouncier than Shane Black, creating less playfield dirt but affecting gameplay feel significantly. — _Comparative analysis of rubber types and their effects on ball behavior_
- [MEDIUM] Rubber color directly correlates to bounce/density—brighter colors (Dick White) are bouncier, while Shane Black is the hardest and least flexible. — _Technical explanation of rubber color spectrum and properties_
- [MEDIUM] Dick White rubbers on flipper slingshots make the Iron Man game 'a nightmare' to play due to increased bounciness. — _Observation about game difficulty with specific rubber configuration_

## Transcript

If I do it in this ball, we're tied, but it's going to be tough. Internet, I'm going to do the same thing I do, which is soft plunge. I'm going to try to hit that drone target. Jada, there are shaker motors. I hit Jericho, and then I shipped my pants to Argentina. Shipped. Shipped. Oh, ship. Whoa! Oh, too clean. Too clean. All right, so that drone is the only one lit, so I have a feeling maybe there's only one drone left. No, you have two drones lit. I do. So I'm going to go for the war machine and maybe hit the drone. Yeah. Oh, God, the cleanliness is too much. Oh, God, no! Fudge! Oh, my gosh. Oh, shucks. Jericho, baby. Alright, I got one more in me. I'm sad. I'm getting sad, man. I don't think there's going to be a rage eater. There might just be a depression scale. A sad scale? Whoa. Oh, gosh. Yo, clean it up, mother... Just flailing. Clean it. You know what it was? There was a mosquito in there that he was swatting at. Play clean, man. Yo, I'm playing like you. Don't play like me. Look at that. I just short-clenched for no reason. Don't play like my brother. For no reason. Nailed it. Nailed it. Nailed it. Yeah, you look... You feel good. It's like surfing, you know what I mean? It's all about how you look. It's all my language. It's all booty language. Oh! Alright, I need a spinner to bring up the monger. That wasn't it. Well that's like... Having a droney. Yo, vanilla ice. Look it up. I've already got War Machine. It's so good it must be Italian. You son of a... BUSCHER! Oh, Monger Dronies. Here we go, Internet. It's legit. It's legit all about gloating, man. The second I do good, I'm like, yo, I don't even need to touch the pinball machine. What's up? Oh, whoa. That was fun. That was a little bit of an airball there, Internet. I just shipped the man. Cool. Yeah. Yeah. Bruh. It only takes one. It only takes one ball. Life is a pickle. JD, you're doing really well today, buddy. In the twilight zone. Thanks, champ. I'm really proud of you. I'm excited for Stace, man. I got my money on you, frankly. You've been doing really well this year. All right. Back to tilt. Aw, you got Andy. Have you ever heard of the last name Bradish? Bradish? They're animators who used to live in Chicago. Uh, I don't know. Gold? Oh, that dude. They thought about that for a second. Money. Uh, Jaden, yeah, I'm not certain. If they're friends of yours, ask them if they know danger. Hello! Hello! They'll say no, and then they'll slap you in the face and pour coffee on your head. Yo, Iron Manger! Iron Muncher's coming to get me Everybody wants that Iron Munch Trust Trust Man, I want to hear that Prince song Which one? Trust From the Batman soundtrack What's wrong? There's a How do I What? I'm going to I'm going to find that song Oh boy don't tell you hippie come here won't be a hippie ah yo flail good points on the spinners though good points on the spinners one more folks straight on ah too late Ah, get out of the way! Woo! Where are you going, Tony? Well that was fast Is there a ball stand You finally outdid yourself Tony Pull on all of them Yes, on the kick amongst. Uh, so that's not gonna go until I knock it out. Should I cheat or should I try to knock it out? Yeah, you can cheat, man. We're just trying to kill it. So in actual tournaments, folks, if you have a ball stuck like this in multiball... We'd have to take the glass off and pull it out. You would have to either shoot for it or you'd have to call somebody and get it out. It's not fair if you play a multiball with only one ball and you get multiball scoring. So you would have to fix it yourself. Because we're in multiball, it will not do a ball search. Right. So this is a little cheat here. You better make it worth it, mother. It's worth it, Mother Funchtown. Yeah, we'll make some points. Mother Funchtown. So now I'm going to go for this Iron Monger shot, and it'll knock out that ball, I hope. Whoa, okay. That worked, too. That didn't work, either. Don't play yourself in jeopardy, dude. Well, it's the better way to cheat for it. I don't want to cheat too bad. You just... There we go. You just accept it. What? It popped it. Did you see that? Yeah, it popped because that thing comes up. Oh, he wanted to stop you. Yeah, that thing pops up when you go up the outline. Well, it effed you. It did. And that's why you try to make it fair. Trust. Good job. I'm a loser to pinball. I'm a loser to pinball. Oh, God. If you got to play that pinball, girl, you got to get that pinball. Whoa. Oh, God. Stop. Stop, guys. Stop. Drop. Shut him down, one machine shot Oh, you hippie Don't be a hippie Jack is in perfect position for the state Knock Zach out and the rest is smooth sailing Yeah, right Yeah, dude, will you knock Zach out for all the rest of us? Honestly, if I knock Zach Sharp out of it It's gonna be like a free-for-all Wow, you just got Pinched Yo, War Machine. You just got pinched. Oh, God, thank you. Booty. Booty. Jesus. Oh, God. Oh, baby. Jerome? Whoa! Lightning fast, Internet. Oh, dang. I don't know if you saw that one. Oh, dang. That was bad news bears all together. Say hello to the internet girl. Nice. Bully push. I don't even know what you call that. That's a new slap I've been practicing. It's the clip clop. So I'm going to go for this guy who's the whiplash. Whiplish? Oh, jeez. Oh, monitor's up again. There's blood in the water. If I get Whirlplash, then I can get Iron Man while I got Whirlplash, and then I can do the... Are you sure you can stack anything with Whirlplash? I thought he was solo. I think I can get Iron Man. Is that scoring? Oh, yeah. Okay. That's fair. Nothing multiple. Oh! Oh, okay. You got Roar. Got it. Bob Roar. Bob Roman. Here we go. Jerome Jackpot. If the Iron Man comes on... Oh, it's off. Fuck. I can't get it. Yeah, you gotta... I think Whiplash is... He's a bad guy, so you're not supposed to stack anything. Jerome Jackpot. Alright, fine. Sweat it. Whatever. I don't know. One target on the left. If I hit this target, I could go for do or die. Yeah. Do or die. Did you hit it? No. Does it have to be that target or any iron? No, it has to be that target. Oh, great. Nice. Post him up. Got him. Do or die. And now Nick is sweating his testicles off. All right. Oh, shoot. Oh, I hate it. You can't. Okay. You can backhand it, Internet. No! No! All right. You got this, Doc. Oh! Do or die. He has to hit it one more time. Come on in. Oh, my God. Plus the entire board is two X Well that just put you on the board and made sure I couldn compete Fudge! Who cares, man? Look at your score! No, who cares? I want high score. I don't want middle score. You ain't taking high score, though. Well, you... It's only ball... Oh, it's ball. Yeah, that's all I needed, man. Shards. Like, ten more million, I'd be on the board. I mean, I'm on the board now, but... You're on the board. You're currently on the board. Up and over. Around and through, you ding-dong. Ya hippie ding-dong. Hippie ding-dong, little hippie ding. Zip. Oh, two in a row. That War Machine call out on the back glass is really cool. I didn't know there was that. Wait, are you trying to mess with me? No, it's a good logo. It's a legit looking, like, 70's style Superman. Or superhero logo, I should say. Nice. Did you see that shit? Nice, you kept it all going, actually. I think War Machine is still on Yep Got all four back for that one shot Yes sir Well not that one Am I missing a ball? No Oh love each other There you go You did it Take your time Are you sure? Yeah take your time You good. Nice hit. Do it again. God. Guys. Guys. Listen. Call your mama. Sleepover. So. That didn't work. Sleepover. Is that because you're sleeping on the sofa? Stand sofa. Um, alright. So, I need whiplash. I need whiplash. No! No! Dude, you gotta do or die. My man. Oh, sorry. I'll leave you hanging. All the way. what's he gonna put what's he gonna put my man taking it to Vegas yo he's a gambler man kids Nick Vegan Nick Vegan tremendous tremendous alright I think we're good that's all for me today internet I still got a water I still gotta walk home in the blizzard of 2015. Oh, fuck. You got your work suit on. I almost got hit by a snowplow today and I had to take a swan dive, nose first, into a pile of snow to avoid getting run over. I got three people out of, stuck in their cars, because I didn't take Ashlyn, I kind of walked through the back roads. and everybody, A, got stuck because there's so much snow on the streets, they didn't plow the neighborhoods, they just plowed the main roads. B, they don't know the rocking aspect of getting out. Maybe they're new to the city, there's a lot of new people in the city. I'm not saying they're bad people, I'm saying they just don't know yet. They haven't figured out the snow driving. So it's just basically people spinning their tires, like going as fast as their tires can go. It's not working. That's literally doing nothing. and so they need someone it's all about the back I feel like it's my duty to say hey back up duty back up a little bit let me shovel you know let me like scoop out some snow give you a little room to go and then when you do it don't floor it no just like ease up and there's definitely also the method of if there is something small and flat around yeah take it under the tires don't gut it because you'll shoot that damn thing like a bullet, but it'll give you enough grip. Like a little piece of wood. Like a wood or something. Like a wood. Like one wood. Like a wood. Like take one wood and stick it under your tire. But you know what? That's what living in the city is all about. You see somebody who needs help, you go help them. What else are you going to do? You know not everyone in the Midwest is from the Midwest That true And some people just need a little help So you know Snow tricky man Honestly I should have just walked around on a shovel I would have been everyone's hero today. Five bones. Not even money. No, there's no money. You feel so good. Have you ever, like, just helped somebody push their car out of the snow? You feel like you're on top of the world. For free? Yeah. No. For free? No, I don't mess with that. Donate to kids for traction under your tires. There you go. Oh, yeah, floor mats. Holy crap. That's a great idea. Oh, put floor mats under the food. Yeah, dude. That's a good move. You're going to trash your floor mats. Yeah, you're going to ruin your floor mats. But your car won't be stuck. If you have crappy floor mats, that's a pretty good idea. I like that. Yeah. All right. Well, folks, thanks again for coming. Love you guys. This has only been day one, and we have a whole week of just getting angry at Iron Man, much like fish tails but we're we're pretty sure this one isn't gonna break on us yeah we got extra balls now we have extra balls also these rubbers were white at one point unless that one was waiting this one was black no that one was white oh my god you could out there is pitch black like you could see it up yeah up here it's a little way oh that is gnarly I don't know why that one look it they're both pretty in there yeah I do they're both roached I mean they work yeah but that is just gunking up your playfield ah but white is actually cleaner for your playfield stirring stern defaults to black rubbers and black is more durable it's more durable but it creates more dirt yeah um white is softer so it's actually more bouncy but it creates less black dust it creates white dust i mean it's not like it doesn't disintegrate but it's a softer rubber oh it's so much bouncier it's crazy actually rubber is directly related to the color of the rubber is how bouncy it is so from black to white black is the hardest less that's the most dense the less flex then you go all the way through the color spectrum you have red which is pretty hard but not as hard as black so we got our blues here if you look at rubbers uh and the real pros are actually looking at this stuff they're like okay we got white rubbers around they know what to expect when the ball comes down if you see a red rubber you're like that's kind of basic if you see white or green on the flippers that's going to be much bouncier in fact white rubbers on a flipper it plays totally different everything bounces well the fact that you have white rubbers on the slingshots of an iron man already this game is just a nightmare yeah already white anywhere on this game. So just something to keep an eye out if you're doing any tournaments here soon. Look at the rubbers. If you see a brighter color it's gonna be a little bit bouncier. That's the tip of the tip of the day. Tip of the day. Tip of the day. Yo get them get them rubbers out guys. White is bouncy, black is less. Alright have fun. I love you guys. Have a good night and we'll see you tomorrow. Bye internet. Bye internet. I'm gonna go eat boom. Bye. design jog John Borg this little thing's kind of cute I think this is homemade I don't think that comes with it um I know cuz that they wouldn't put no no that's just that seems like non-stop for one internet oh man you don't want internet guys okay hold on before we go get you want to donate some to us get us our own pipe right for the water for the inner stuff we need our own pipe we need our own pipe oh wait hold on i need to play something for you guys before we go oh god what you playing here we go can they hear this yeah God, I love Prince. Dude, trust. Trust. Trust. Yo, when it comes down, trust. This is the ball just cruising. It's like... Do you have a crack in your play field there? You see that? I don't think it's a crack. Just a split. Might be some paint. Alright, goodnight. Alright, bye. Miss you.
