## Transcript

Whoa! Dude, how did you get this? Oh my gosh! In case you missed it, I attended Pinball Expo 2021, and man, the pinball community is thriving in full of life. People from all ages can't seem to get enough of it, and frankly, I feel a little late to the party. How did I not know about this community? I guess I was just so entrenched in arcade gaming that I never popped my head up to look around. But man, it's awesome. So why am I talking about this? Well, as my buddy Arcade Hollywood says, you'll get bit by the bug, and when you do, it's hard to resist the temptation. So yeah, I got a pinball machine. Well, here it is, my Stern Jurassic Park Pro. Man, this thing is sexy. From the side art to the backbox, it's a Jurassic Park lover's dream machine. So this isn't just a standard pro model. It's been upgraded with custom art blades for the inside of the cabinet, custom lockdown bar accents, some custom plastics on the playfield, and a shaker motor that rumbles like crazy. look around at this. Wow. Just wow. Stern really makes a beautiful machine and anyone that a Jurassic Park nerd will be in awe of all the attention to detail Their machines are just so damn cool that I not sure what to talk to you about first The lights blinking the artwork the music all of this and I haven even played the game yet and I completely overwhelmed So how did I choose a model? Choosing one is a little daunting and there are so many options to choose from. Just look at this spec sheet. Yeah, that's a lot to take in. Anyhow, let's talk a little bit about it, I'll show you some gameplay, and give you some of my initial thoughts as a first time pinball machine owner. Okay, we're in front of the machine and you're probably wondering, why Jurassic Park? Well, during Pinball Expo and a couple other shows I went to this year, I would play various different pinball machines and see which ones do I like. And that's a good idea if you're looking to buy a pinball machine too. You've got to feel out what you like. So I saw Deadpool, I played that and loved it, and I actually loved that movie, and so the theme of Deadpool really resonated with me. And then the other one was Jurassic Park. I was like, wow, this is so cool. There's so many neat elements on the playfield that come from the movie. So, you know, games like that, and honestly, if there was a Terminator 2, I would have got that too. A great game themed from a movie I love, right? But Jurassic Park happened to be a highly rated game, so two things. The gameplay needs to be good, and the theme should be something you enjoy. Now, the investment is a lot, so you need to make sure you're going to enjoy it. But here's the good news about pinball. It holds its value. Alright, let's do a little bit of gameplay. So as you learning to play you see there a lot of audibles that say things like shoot the left ramp The left ramp is actually telling you to shoot where the T head is so We gonna do that here in a second I usually pretty good about getting that the first couple tries So let's see if I can get it Not quite Almost there we go So there's lots of instructions during the game. It'll tell you what to do. So it kind of walks you and progresses you through the game pretty much. You don't really need to... You can read the instructions and there's obviously things that are sort of undocumented that you can do, but for the most part if you read the instructions, it should get you pretty good. Get you started at least. Oh, that wasn't good. All right, I think we got multiball already, so that's really good. That's a good sign. At least you'll have something interesting, so you can hear that shaker motors going off. It's awesome. All right. No, we lost one ball already. Oh, lost another one, okay. Not so great of a showing but But like I said I been playing it for about two weeks now so I been getting decent at it, you know, but there's so much to learn and it just kind of continues to be interesting, at least to me. all right so you can see the that was that light was illuminated which means i get oh shoot a ball save but anyways i'm having a blast with this thing well that about wraps up this video this was just a short look into my jurassic park pro we're gonna have many gameplay videos i don't really have all the right camera situation to record this properly they kind of need to record it from above. So I'll work on that, but I definitely want to share more with you. I'm really enjoying this pinball journey and I don't know where it's going to take me, but for now I'm really happy with this initial purchase. So if you enjoyed this video, give me a thumbs up, consider subscribing to the channel, put your comments below. I want to hear from you. Are you someone that's viewed the channel for a while and you're not really into pinball? Are you curious about pinball? Have you been playing pinball forever? I know, I can't believe I've just been sort of out of the loop when it comes to pinball. played it when I was a little kid, but never really thought much of it since then. And I can't believe this whole world is just been chugging along all these years and I didn't even know about it. So pretty damn cool. But anyways, that's it guys. We will see you on the next one. you
