## Transcript

Alright, in today's video I thought I would go over my latest acquisition, or one of them, to my growing pinball collection. This is the 2022 release from Stern Pinball, James Bond. This is the Premium Edition. I got this for a steal of a deal, basically paid what a pro cost for a premium that was local to me. It popped up on Marketplace 20 minutes away from my house, got it for a heck of a deal. It had been barely used, essentially. It never even had the original game code updated, so that was one of the first things I had to do. I'm a Gomez fanboy, but let me tell you about some of the upgrades I did to improve this slash ruin it, depending on your perspective. The very first thing I did when I got home, I replaced all the standard black flipper rubber that comes stock in all Stern games. I replaced them with Titan silicone rubber to be clear for the slings and a lot of the rubber areas up top. We got red post and then I went with red flipper rubber. I'm not a big fan of the standard stern art blades that are available for this game. They very monochromatic and just gray and drab When you have a brightly lit colorful play field then you have the Super gray black and white kind of drab color scheme on the side art blades It just doesn do it justice so I went with the these colorful art blades from custom pinball overseas Took about a month and a half for me to get these the first package got lost in the mail So shout out to my custom pinball Customer service over there. They did a great job. They said hey the package is lost I'll just send you a new one. Sorry about that. And lo and behold it showed up and it looks great. So happy about that. Also Changed out the rubbers on the wobbly rocket here Was gonna originally put clear on there, but I think it just with all the red LEDs and the explosive artwork around it I think red just made the most sense. Also installed the shooter lane protector a little bit overkill since this game was in You know great condition, but to keep it in great condition for many years to come I'm a powder coating snob. I got a great guy locally that does an awesome job. Went with the LE colorway. Even did a speaker panel up here which I'm not always a fan of but in this case I just felt like it would be nice to have a little tie in with the armor so I did the speaker panel. Also have teal speaker rings, upgraded the speakers, we got the LE5.25 Kenwoods there. Changed out the T molding on here, came with yellow even though the artwork is kind of aqua and blue colored. Got rid of the yellow T molding, put black on there, I think it matched nice with the contrasting black here with the speaker colors and everything Also put a big 8 inch sub upgrade underneath inside the cabinet so we got some booming base levels but you know we got that nice Jamaican teal that goes nicely with the artwork Artwork, it is what it is. That's like my only real gripe about this game and that was kind of out of Stern's control. The licensure said hey you know you gotta throw all the movie posters on the side of the game and it just doesn't look the greatest. Greatest shots and layout wise though, I absolutely love this game. The side quad shot setup we got going over here where you can, you know, you turn it here, there, inwards, outwards. It's really, really fun to do. The Bond girls inner loop is super fun. You know, that's your, you know, kind of gambling aspect of the game because you can keep stacking it and get up to 7X shot multiplier, which is awesome. Premium features. We got the bond on a wand, so to speak, so you'll shoot a ball, the magnet catches it, and he'll come flying around. You can drop the ball on the Tiger Tank here, which is another premium upgrade, as well as this little hidden scuba scene, which is something you can throw on the Pro and a physical ball lock. That is my biggest thing on this premium. The Pro is more than enough for this game, but I'm a sucker for a physical ball lock. I will take and pay more money for a physical ball lock almost every single time. Physical ball lock and swirly wire form ramp right here for the Bird One multiball, that is worth it in my opinion. That's where the money goes. The Aston Martin car toy is awesome. It's on all three trim levels which is really cool. I think it's great. It has that ejector seat, kicks the ball up out of the top. Code on this thing is phenomenal. There's tons and tons of modes on it. I think like over 20 modes and you got wizard modes You got hurry ups Like I said you got this awesome multiplier for the Bond women which is super fun Just overall just probably Sperry Bound and Bound Women I'm going to be honest with you, this is absolutely stupid. This is, you know, $5 worth of 3D printed plastic and a sticker. I mean, and it looks identical to the Stern ones. So, that is what it is. Also, put on the lollipop rails, protect the art. It's technically not necessary with these modern vinyl graphics. These are pretty sturdy these days. You're not really going to rub a spot where unless you're just the absolute most abusive pinball player. Next week, we're going to be playing the game of the year, which is the Bound Premium.
