Wow three pinball articles here today and not a single one of them was about Stern Pinball. All things are quiet on the Stern front. There's a lot of talk that we will not see a new game from Stern at next week's Consumer Electronics Expo as many had speculated. The release cadence for Stern's first cornerstone game in 2026, most likely Pokemon but possibly Transformers cartoon, is late January.

Well, I guess that I did mention Stern after all lol. That wasn't the point of this post though. This afternoon I want to talk about Dutch Pinball, more specifically its sub-brand Dutch Pinball Exclusive (DPX). A couple of weeks ago, DPX sent an e-mail update to customers who purchased its Alice's Adventures in Wonderland pinball machine. The message contained great production information. Through December 17th, DPX had built and shipped approximately 275 Alice's Adventures in Wonderland machines, leaving 225 machines left to be built out of the 500 unit run.

DPX estimates that at its current production rate that it will take them through May 2026 to build all of the remaining Alices. At that time, the Dutch Pinball Factory will switch over to building the Dutch Pinball Exclusive Game #2, the Zidware and Deeproot Pinball-designed Retro Atomic Zombie Adventureland (RAZA). So we're looking at around the beginning of June for the start of RAZA production based upon current projections.

As promised at the time the game was announced, starting in the month of January 2026, Dutch Pinball Exclusive began accepting refund requests for customers who ordered but have not yet received their Alice machines by the end of 2025 and would like to cancel. Once it knows the total number of refunds that it has to process for parts ordering purposes, DPX will begin issuing requested refunds to customers in February. I personally know of several people who have requested refunds, so if you were interested in buying this previously sold-out game, reach out to a distributor like Cointaker and get on a list and you may be able to get one.

Speaking of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, DPX recently reached the milestone of Version 1.0 of the game's code. They are not stopping at 1.0 though. They already have another update for the game in the works and scheduled to release later in Q1 2026.

"Dear Alice owner,

We are pleased to announce that a new software release for Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, version 1.0, is now available.

You can download the software update from our website:

https://www.dutchpinball.com/alices\adventures\in\wonderland\software

This page also includes installation instructions and the full changelog.

A new Support FAQ is available here:

https://www.dutchpinball.com/alices\adventures\in\wonderland\support

If your Wondernumber is below approximately 200, please pay special attention to page 161. There may be two backplate flashers wired in reverse, and the section starting this page explains how to verify and correct this.

In addition, an updated Rulesheet and Operational Manual are available at:

https://www.dutchpinball.com/alices\adventures\in\wonderland\downloads

For 2026 Q1 another software update is already in the works. Scheduled are for instance a Mini Playfield multiball lock mode and to be able to replay unfinished main modes.

From all of us at Dutch Pinball, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!"

It's disgusting that someone would try to build and profit off RAZA considering the millions of dollars lost over the years to develop it (and other nothingburgers). Ignorance is bliss, but I could never look at this game and not think of all the senior citizens losing their retirements and investment funds. This abomination has ruined lives. Let. It. Die.

I wonder if I will ever get to see an Alice game. if it is already sold out, they wont bring it to pinball shows and a game that expensive is not going to be on location.

I can confirm it's on location at Past Times Arcade in Girard, OH. I go almost every weekend and first noticed it on 11/2. (I took a picture and posted it to the FB Pinball Enthusiasts Group.) It's a nice-playing machine and very smooth. I think Rob acquired it at Expo like he did Evil Dead. He put both machines right next to each other in the front. It's noticeable as soon as you walk in the door.

I’ve only seen one once, when I visited the distributor Cointaker. Past Times Arcade in Girard , Ohio was supposedly getting an Alice. Hopefully they will have it on the floor.
