## Transcript

it's time for another pinball profile i'm your host jeff tools you can find our group on facebook we're also on twitter at pinball profile emails pinball profile at gmail.com and please subscribe on either itunes stitcher or google play and check out our under construction website pinball profile.com recently i talked to chuck webster of the trash talker invitational podcaster bloodbath that's going to be happening at replay fx i kind of asked him a favor i said look if you can get my friends ron and bruce in from slam tilt podcast i will strongly consider joining your little tournament at replay fx and i'm doing this live so there'll be no editing as stated before my concerns are that i am really far too great of a player to be playing along with these podcasters who, you know, get to chuckle once in a while on air and think they know something about pinball. I thought I was being nice by declining going into this event and let some of the weaker players battle it out. Another thing too, with my gift of gab, I will walk all over these players just by my mouth alone. But the Trash Talker Invitational Committee keeps asking me to join, obviously to boost attendance. And I said, you know, I can pick any two people and I'm probably going to win this thing. Probably going to fall out of bed and win the thing. With much hesitation, I'm reluctant to say that I will in fact join this little event at ReplayFX. Pinball profile will be there, but I don't have co-hosts. So that means I need two ringers. I've had a bunch of people email me saying, Jeff, I would love to play with you. Sounds fine to me. I really do believe any two people along with yours truly, the title's coming home, baby. So let's go to the phones and see what we can find. Here's one here. Hi, this is Josh Sharpe. Sorry, I have the wrong number. Jeff, is that you? Yeah, like hell that's going to happen. I'm going for first, not second. All right, let's grab another email here, another phone call. Let's see. Don't recognize this name. Hello, Jeff? Hello who this Hey Greg Pepperoni here Greg Pepperoni Where am I calling Brooklyn New York of course New York You realize this trash talk or invitational is done by a New Robert Englunds They don't really like New Yorkers. I don't know if you knew that or not. Yeah, you know, I listened to that Chuck Webster guy. I thought he was a decent guy. But he's got a lot of balls coming out saying that he doesn't welcome New Yorkers in his pinball event, thinking that Boston's dominated sports. Give me a break, Jeff. I mean, how many times have the Yankees crushed Boston? You got Tom Brady, the slate ball's even in play. As far as I'm concerned, pinball-wise, New York can crush those New Englanders any day of the week. Sounds like you'd be a good ringer. You know, I've held my own amongst the best in New York City, and I think I got what it takes, Jeff. Well, there's a lot of good pinball in New York City. I don't know if you've ever made it out to Sunshine. Yeah, I've heard of the place. I've been meaning to make it over there. A lot of really good players. I mean, you look at some of the guys that are there now, like Levy and Sean Grant and Nixon Dehas. Those are some really good players. Yeah, you know, as far as I can see, the accolades in New York line up with the same level of dominance over New Robert Englunds in pinball as we've seen in other levels of sports. Oh, geez, there's another guy I forgot. Greg Pavarelli. Have you heard of him? No, who's that? Yeah. Anyway, just nobody. So, Greg Pepperoni, you want to play in the Trash Talker? Yeah, I would be honored and humbled to join you in your attempt to bash the other podcasters. I know you're probably the best player amongst them, but certainly being the Trash Talker invitational members would be an honor and a privilege, Jeff. There's other good Trash Talkers. I've played against Ron and Bruce from Slam Tilt. They're pretty good. I don't know. Have they ever actually won anything? Yeah, good point. You know, they do win. It's usually at their own homes, though, or their own Silver Ball Saloon. Yeah, that's a good point. Hey, you know what? I think this whole thing is unwrapped. These guys, forget about it. Greg Pepperoni, you are in. You're joining Pinball Profile. I like the cut of your jib. Sounds good to me, Jeff. And I'll definitely take a look into this full sunshine laundromat thing you were talking about. Apparently it's on Wednesday nights. It should be a really good event. But anyway, all right, get your game up. I'm more worried about the trash talker. My game will carry us all. I don't expect much from somebody I've never heard of in Greg Pepperoni, but I think we can do it. Greg, you're in on Team Pinball Profile. All right, Jeff. We got a Canadian. We got a Brooklynite. Who's going to be the third? I can't wait to find out. Good point. We've covered the north. We covered the east Maybe I should go out west You know I got a bunch of people here requesting I find somebody Greg Looking forward to it Greg we see you at ReplayFX See you there Jeff Ciao Sounds like a good guy. Looking forward to playing with Greg now. Got to go to these emails here and just see who is... Oh boy, a lot of requests. Let's pick this one. Let's try this guy. I don't recognize this name. He's got a Skype number. Okay, I'll dial him up. hello hi who's this uh david david who david raminson david raminson well it's nice to meet you i glad to hear that you're listening to pinball profile and you're interested in playing in the trash talker invitational podcaster bloodbath you know i i do a show by myself so i need a couple of ringers do you think you'd be a good ringer can you trash talk I don't know. Can you? You don't sound like you're very good at it. You know, this guy on Pinball Profile is very, very polite, but those who know me know I can dish it out with the best of them. And if I have to, if push comes to shove, David, I can do that because my pinball skills are good. Not as good as my trash talking, though, so I'm hoping you can bring it, too. Well, I don't know how good your pinball skills are. We'll have to find out. Well, what about your pinball skills? I mean, if you're going to join Team Pinball Profile, you're going to have to play. I mean, have you even played in a competition before? Are you any good? Well, I do have a lot of time on a couple of WWE LEs. You've got two of them? Yeah. I got one from Vegas. David Ramison made a big showing there. And then I got one in, what's the place? Keswick, Toronto, somewhere out in the boonies. Oh, so you travel all over. Yeah, there's not a lot of pinball where I'm from, so I like to get out. Where are you from? Seattle, Washington. There's actually quite a bit of pinball out there. You should really, I mean, flip, flip, ding, ding. There's shorties. There's all kinds of great places. You haven't checked any of these out? Uh, sounds like a lot of work. There's a lot of good players out there. I know of Jermaine and Chris Specials Chen and just, you know, Kayla Greet and so many other great players out there. There's another guy I'm forgetting. But anyway, there really are some good players out in Washington. They're okay. Do you think you can practice before a pinball? Do you think you can, like, do you even have any game knowledge? I don't need to practice. David, you're sounding a little cocky, although that's good for a trash talker. You bet. You bet your sweet Canadian bacon. Okay I liking where this is going You know I picking people at random because you know I know a lot of the really really good players I know them very well They all been on my program But as I said you know I can just take anybody And you, David Robinson, I think is good because, you know, if I did take a top 10 player, they were going to consider making them play one-handed. What do you think of that? That's absurd. It'll just look even sillier and they'll be even more ashamed when they lose. Yeah, that is a good point, too. That is maybe, I know all top 10 players, in fact. And no, I'm going to go with you, David Ramison. You're going to join Greg Pepperoni. I think you guys are going to be team pinball profile for the Trash Talker Invitational. You like the sounds of that? Yeah, I'm in. Have you ever been to Pinberg before? A couple of times. Okay. You know what? I'm having a feeling you and I, and I think Greg said the same thing in the note to me. I think we've all met before. Were we in New York City at some point? Yeah, I was there a couple of months ago. The New York City Championships. That's right. I think we posed for a picture. I'll go through my phone and I'll see if I can find a picture of you, David, and also Greg Pepperoni. So I'll post that on Facebook. That'll be good for any of the naysayers out there. They don't think we know each other or they think you're trying to recruit someone else. I don't need ringers to win this thing. So again, this no-name Greg Pepperoni, you, David Ramison, piece of cake. All right. So I say bring the thunder at Pinberg and ReplayFX. All right, we're in. Thank you very much, David. Thank you, Jeff. practice the trash talking i don't need to practice you need to practice that's my boy all right we'll talk to you later all right there you have it greg pepperoni david raymondson and jeff teal's your winners of the 2018 trash talkers invitational podcasters bloodbath this should give chuck webster and the committee enough time for the engraving of the actual trophies we'll be there to accept it on saturday night if you want us to play uh sure we can i mean it's just of formality, but anyway.
