Moderately awesome. Super awesome. We're going to, like, this is where you'd think, but no, they're both up here. And Jedi was able to snag a Hot Wheels yesterday. And... Go up the back of a truck. Right. Is that the story around that? Like, how did you go about grabbing Hot Wheels? Well, so So I'm borrowing this from my neighbor Steve down the street, and I load up my TNA on a cart, and I do this death march, and I walk it down the road, and I get all strange sorts of stares from people playing outside with their children. And then I roll it up to his house, and then I grab the automobiles, and I roll it right back. And then my hamstrings get very mad at me because pushing one of these things on a cart. It's kind of uphill both ways. I know there's that old saying that parents say that, but literally it's kind of like a peak in the middle between the houses. So one way or another, you have to push a machine up the hill. It's a pain in the ass. But it's a good workout. Awesome. Yeah, speaking about that, I, this evening, am drinking, boom, a Woodchuck Sangria. Maybe it'll focus. There we go. Which is a hard cider mixed with sangria. Flipstream, what are you drinking? I think at some point someone's going to have to try that. But we have some objectives lined up for us. I'm going to swing over to the first objective, and let's take a look at what all we've got lined up for us. So we have complete a race, which is our first objective. We are complete a battle, complete an epic feature, a high score game. We're going Price is Right, $150 million. We should drop that to $100 million. Okay, we will drop it to $100 million. Then get to third gear, extra ball, a second high score game. I think that was an accident on my part and totally explains why I had too many objectives when I was putting them all in there. And activate turbo and lastly track builder. Now, I'm not super familiar with each of these objectives. So each time we're going to swing over to Brian's stream, a.k.a. Flipstream. and then Flipstream will walk us through each one of these objectives. Flipstream, do you want to walk us through the race objective, please? Pretty please. Sure. All right. So for a race, which is often referred to as victory, victory by multiball. I'm like, no. So it starts off, whenever you start the game, your 12th place light will be lit right here on the play field. Hopefully everybody can see where I'm pointing. Yes. As you hit these shots, it's going to progressively light the next place in the race. So it starts off 12th and 11th, 10th, 9th, so on and so forth, all the way until it concludes to hitting the checkered flag back on the left loop, that's just the ramp shot. But the far left shot that will finish the race, catching the magnet that completes the race, one of the cool things about Hot Wheels is it will actually time you from the point where you start the race to the point you actually finish the race, only pausing if it shifts out of the mode or if it's playing around with the pop embers. Okay. Awesome. That is our first objective of the night. Are both of you gentlemen ready to battle? Let me switch over here. We now need to complete a battle. Flipstream, do you want to walk us through how one goes about completing a battle? Sure. I'm thinking in my head because it's a little complicated to explain, but I'll try to simplify it for everybody. Okay, the first thing you have to do is actually have to qualify a battle. We do that through the battle letters on the left. They're the ones that are all the fun purpley lights on mine. Once you've lit all of the battle lights, you can, for the first battle, hit either saucer, which is this shot right here, or through the Draven Tower here on the right. Either one will start the battle. depending on which light is lit over here on the playfield. As you hit a spinner or hit the battle targets once they're all lit, it will rotate around. So if you hit the spinner, it'll kind of spin around. If you hit the battle targets, it will jump one place. So you can kind of pick which battle you want. And each battle has a different set of objectives. So it's very similar to, say, like Godzilla just came out. There's different ways to do one. So Cobra is the two left shots and two right shots, followed by a scoop. Triceratops, which is the three shots over here, and then a – not a scoop, saucer, sorry. T-Rex, you have to hit spinner, collect spinners, and hit the right ramp. You repeat that sequence three times. Gorilla, you hit the three car targets, both ramps, and then a saucer. Got all that? Great. Jedi, how do you feel after that wonderful description as to what all needs to be done? I'm going to shoot at the battle targets and then shoot the lit up shots. Yeah, basically that's really the key way to do it. Once you start the battle, the shots you need will be lit up and purple, and you can watch the prompt. The only one that's tricky is the T-Rex because your spinners are always going to be lit purple, and the only thing that will happen is the right ramp or the orange ramp will light up with the purple light once you've collected enough spins to actually get a hit on the T-Rex. Okay. Bold strategy, Cotton. I hope it works out for him. But because I'm a nice guy, Jedi, if you have questions, if you get in a battle and you're not sure what to do, just ask and I can tell you over the stream. Oh. Also, I do want to throw out, did anybody else notice that Jedi went over there and typed and when he hit enter, it showed up in the chat simultaneous with him actually typing. This is all live. Flipstream, can you walk us through how to achieve an epic feature? No. No, okay. We're just going to wing it. Okay, so one of the things you can do. Oh, I should probably. One of the things you need to do to actually get to the final mode, we have the epic features over here on the right. In the end lanes are the EPIC letters. You have to roll over said end lanes, just like any other qualification mode, except, fairly similar to some other games, you can only toggle the left two and the right two based on the flipper. So that way you can't just cheese one ramp over and over again and get all four. Once you have all four epic letters lit, that qualifies your start epic mode right here. It's the top target. You hit that top target depending on which one you have selected determines what you need to do. So it will either hit car targets or a number of ramps, a number of loops, or a number of pop bumpers. If you do more than one, you can qualify more than one. but that means you have to actually collect them all and actually complete them all before you're allowed to hit that final collect, which closes out the epic feature and allows you to collect a bonus. And just because American Pinball has an amazing consumer, as you're doing these epics, if you keep hitting those same epic shots after you complete it, you start earning bonus points. Except if you drain in the middle of it, you get an epic fail. wow okay and actually says well epic fail and you get a portion of the points you would have normally got oh does it take those away or does it not award it until the end uh it's at the end of the ball as you drain it will give you the epic fail bonus and anything that you were in progress on is white and you have to requalify and collect it all okay now i do have to catch up Snivy's got another rhyme which is I don't believe that I could do go on and on with rhymes true I only have so many to say I run out so quick during the day okay understand well I mean if I was running all day long I'd probably run out quick during the day too also Insanity Falls I no longer keep gluten free Oreos in the house because I go through them like crazy if they're here that's why my house is mostly just beer and Mountain Dew because if there's food in the house, I'll eat it. It's surprising how slow they went, while at the same time, how little they gave you information about kind of background in Dune. The biggest complaint I heard from so many people who did not read the books was that they were lost watching the movie. Yeah, I could see that, because the 80s version had those monologues going over it that kind of told you what was going on. the spice. Oh my god, it took me way too long to figure that out, Bumper Nugget. Bumper Nugget says, hetay, pise, the spice. The spice must flow. Okay. On that note, objective number four. Guys, we are at Jedi has one point and Flipstream has two. We are ready for a standard high score game. Now Jedi, sorry, not Jedi, Flipstream, You must have some suggestions on maybe how you go about scoring high. Do they involve the RPM targets? And why does that make this game awful? I don't know what you mean about making the game awful. Game of the Year 2020. Anybody that's heard of Guns N' Roses is wrong. Wrong. I would say I enjoy this game more than Guns N' Roses. Yes. Thank you. you know, light show with flipper parts complete game with really cool light show so for scores in this game it is very much tied to the tachometer, which is the 1 through 10 that we see here in the middle of the playfield which you can't see because the score is the wrong seam up hey, I've been on it the whole time until just that moment failed, epic fail, I'm going to walk off Yeah, there's like 10 million less LEDs in this game. Yeah, that's because they took out those LEDs to put in a pinball game. Anyway, we've got the tachometer, 1 through 10. So your score is based on where you're at on that tachometer. So if you are at, like, hanging down here in the one and the two range, you could be blowing up the game, finishing modes, hitting multi-balls, and you're going to get crap for points. The RPM targets are the best way to increase your tachometer because they give you the biggest bonus and they stop your tachometer from decaying over time. Any shot you hit will actually add to your tachometer, but the ATMs give you a bigger bonus and they're the only ones that actually stop the decay temporarily to allow you to build more points. So, again, really the key thing here is to get all the way up to 10 as much as you can, especially in big modes. There's also the turbo boost, which is the kickback shot here, that works as a 10X multiplier based on whatever your tach is and wherever your score is. there's also the gear system. So as you brush out to 10 and go beyond that, that starts Red Line Mania. That is a timed wizard mode, lets you collect various jackpots. You hit all the shots, you hit the jackpot, and the washments repeat. But it also makes you shift gears, which raises your minimum tachometer value. Basically, it boosts temporarily your bottom-end score, even at the lower RPMs. So it's a counterbalance between hitting the RPM targets, attack is dangerous for those of you who play as Attack from Mars, or even some of the center targets on Stranger Things, or the castle on Medieval Madness. It's very similar in that regard, that they're fairly dangerous shots. And so you had to put on a helmet, and there was a pipe coming out of the helmet, and the plumb bob was hanging from the helmet. So you had to play sitting completely still. Otherwise, if you moved your head, it tilted the game. And there were various other ones. There were glass that was spray painted that you could barely see through. There was reverse binoculars you had to look through. There was one where you were getting pelted with ping pong balls at 20 miles an hour. So that was fun. Yeah. Don't miss it. Expo next time. That's the three car targets, plus the one back hidden in the pops. That will light your right saucer for the mystery. It will be lit up in yellow. That's the collector case. Can't get an extra ball awarded to that. You can get it by score, which I think is $350 million. That is an automatically granted extra ball. That is the only one you do not have to collect. You can also qualify one by getting two hero cars. My general recommendations are Rip Rod, which you get through doing Redline Mania, and completing the race, doing Tractor to Multiball, and Loop and Crash Multiball. So you do all four of those things, Redline Mania, complete the race, track builder unlimited and loop and crash that will get you a qualified for the uh extra ball or i think if you get 30 cars 40 cars 30 40 cars something like that uh basically if you collect enough car target will also like the extra ball okay there you go that one's gonna take a while this one takes i i wonder if maybe the uh the easier more straightforward thing to go for it might be just to collect mystery. I think based on what you said, mystery has the opportunity to give you extra ball. And mystery is the right school for the rescue. But you're probably going to get something like tech or advance your race positions or make your bonus plus one. Right. So apparently this game... I don't agree with that. I don't think it's extra balls. It just takes a little bit longer, but for anybody that's hung out on my stream, you can very easily play 45 minute long games on this. It's a lot like Jurassic Park. Okay. We're going to go for it. Let's see if we can grab an extra ball. Now, here's what we're going to do. So if I hit that left orbit, it's actually going to start five ball multiball. And I can work both jackpots in the multiball. So assuming I don't screw it up here, and I can actually hit my orbit. Let me try to do a better post-pass. terrible race time but that actually starts both modes as that fly ball multiball way more points available so that's the victory of that and then it'll go to the loop and crash okay loop multiball and that's it's probably my favorite multi because you park Oh, we lost the car.
