## Transcript

All right, we are back from the Texas Pinball Festival where we introduced Portal, the latest game for the P3, to the general public. We've got a lot of people playing it, and a lot of people who weren't at the show have asked us to go through the playfield and explain all of the different portals, the places the ball can go in and instantly come out somewhere else on this playfield. There are ten of them on the playfield module. Each of these ramps is a lift ramp. I can lift up and the ball can go under it. The ball can go in and the ball can come out from the same ramp. Or from the same portal under the ramp. Depending on the configuration, depending on what you've accomplished in the game, you may have both of these ramps up. And the ball can literally go into one and instantly come out the other. It's a really cool pinball moment. It can also, if you only have one of these up, it'll go into that portal and come out somewhere else. So we've got one here, one here. This really cool faith plate mechanism that flings the ball backwards sometimes can also open up and allow a ball to come into it. That's the third portal. The captive ball mechanism, you can see the portal ringlet behind it. The captive ball is a portalable captive ball. The ball in there can go into the portal and come out somewhere else. Likewise, it can go in somewhere else and come back out into the captive ball. The VUK right next to it is a portal. You can see the ring around it. The ball can come out there from any input location. This VUK next to the faith plate same thing. This VUK on the left same thing. So we got one two three four five six, seven. On the upper left playfield, there's a portal that we often connect to the right, upper right area. And the companion cube that you're looking at is the same companion cube on both sides, you're just seeing one face on the right and the rest of the cube on the left, because the cube has come through the portal and is on the left. Similarly, there is a portal here where a ball can fly out to one of three different destinations. It can fly short into the acid pit, it can land on this landing area here, or it can fly all the way up onto the upper landing zone here. So one playfield module, 10 portals, instant teleportation from an input to an output, which takes a feature-rich playfield and makes it flow very quickly as you're playing through the game. There's an additional portal in the extended module where the kickback is. The ball can go into the kickback and come somewhere else or can go in somewhere else and come back out the kickback. And of course we have the six scoops here that can all pop up, shoot the ball into them, and it can portal out somewhere else. So tons of options for gameplay, for ball flow, for cool portal effects on this playfield.
