What's up guys and welcome back to my channel where I talk and do everything pinball. Now Texas Pinball Festival is next weekend and there are some of you out there that are still on the fence or just don't really know if you should go to Texas Pinball Festival. Well I'm here to give you 10 reasons why you should. oh here we go carrie's shillin texas pinball festival again you're goddamn right now these are going to be in no particular order of greatness or preference or anything this is merely just a list that i have compiled and trust me it took everything i have to just narrow it down to 10 because there is so much to mention about what is going to be at this show. Let's start with number one, and that is all of the games. There will be over 300 pinball machines set on free play for your enjoyment. And of course, this includes talking about the brand new release games for manufacturers over the last year, and especially within the last three weeks. Now, I have made a list of the games, and there's a chance that I still may have forgotten one. But Haggis Pinball is going to be bringing their Fathom remake. Spooky Pinball is going to be bringing their Scooby-Doo Where Are You machine. Pinball Brothers is going to be bringing Queen. Stern is going to be bringing brand new Foo Fighters. Jersey Jack Pinball is going to be bringing Godfather. CGC will be bringing their newly announced Pulp Fiction. Multimorphics Final Resistance. And American Pinball will be bringing Galactic Tank Force. there has never been this many new games at a pinball expo or convention period and the chances are this will never happen again and number two is the vendors this is a big deal because you're going to have a lot of them they're selling all kinds of things from restoration to any other type of tool that is new to the market then of course you have all the items that are going to be there for like you know led replacements you know rubber ring replacements the list goes on and on mods galore there's going to be all types of vendors there that are going to have all sorts of products gadgets tools devices rest i can even explain the excitement i have for all the vendors that are going to be there to be able to assist you in anything that you might need for your project or your brand new machine. Number three, we're talking about pinball personalities and celebrities. Now, pinball personalities, meaning people like to do podcasts or YouTube content creators like myself, And then you have celebrities, which are the real heroes in the pinball hobby, and that are the people like the designers, the artists, the people that crafted and made these machines that we thoroughly enjoy. A lot of them will be there that you can meet and greet or even have them sign things. Like, for instance, you can bring in stuff for Christopher Franchi to sign and an artist that's done work for Stern Pinball and most recently American Pinball and Jersey Jack. That guy will sign anything. Just make sure he gets your name right. I mean, Franchi, you had one thing to do. But this is a time where a lot of us will be bringing in our back glasses or trans lights or the entire machine in general. And hopefully we'll find people that were involved in crafting the machine that we enjoy. And now that I think about it, I'm kind of curious if I can get Jack Danger to sign my Foo Fighters. Squirrel! anyways back to the topic at hand there will be pinball celebrities and plenty of pinball personalities out there for you to meet and greet number four and that is the swap meet this is on saturday morning early saturday morning right there in front of the convention in the parking lot area where you have a number of us enthusiasts that are basically trying to unload all types of projects or pieces to projects to entire machines and it's people walking around and you never know what you're going to find whether it be i'm there to find a new project i need something to work on or if you're just you know needing to sell things that you've got a collection of that you have no use for the swap meet is the perfect place for that i'll be there trying to unload a bunch of items that i don't need number five is the twippy awards this is a big award once a year celebration where everyone comes together to see what everyone voted for when it comes to the best machine of 2022 uh and of course awards for person pinball personalities and stuff like that this is a big event that a lot of us out there kind of look forward to and celebrating the hobby So that's going to be there live at Texas Pinball Festival Saturday night. Number six is the Roger Sharp movie, Pinball, The Man Who Saved It. This is a brand new movie that's finally getting out and being seen by the public. and there's going to be a viewing for this at the show. This is a movie that I got to see last year. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I have a review on my channel in case you're interested in seeing it. But by all means, if you have not seen it, try your damnedest to either view it at Texas Pinball Festival, but it will be available for public viewing and other means very shortly, if not already. And number seven is The Seminars. In The Seminar Room, which is going like all weekend, And this is the chance for you to get a lot of information from particular manufacturers and a bunch of other things that are going on. There's a big old list that you can see when a manufacturer goes in there and they're talking about how they went about creating a certain game. This is where you're going to get a lot of information that you typically would not get. Plus, they do include a Q&A usually at the end of their seminar. So if there are certain questions that you would like to get answers to and you want to get it straight from the horse's mouth, this is the time to do it where you can actually speak to the people that created this game that you may have questions about. Number eight is not so much Texas Pinball Festival as it is something else to do while you are here in Frisco, Texas, and that is the National Video Game Museum. There will be shuttles that will be going out there over the weekend that you can get upon and go there and check out that. If you have never even heard or seen the National Video Game Museum, I highly recommend it. I hope to have some B-roll footage showing you of what they all have there for your viewing. It is merely just a few miles away from the Embassy Suites where Texas Pinball Festival is being held. Number nine is the food. We're going to have plenty of food trucks right outside the Embassy Suites. I don't know what kind of food trucks this year. They're different every year, so I don't really know what to expect. But if food trucks aren't your thing, then by all means, there are plenty of restaurants very close to the embassy, as well as really good barbecue places just a few miles down the road I mean this is including and not limited to Perry Steakhouse which is right there next to the embassy If you want the best pork chop that you ever had then I highly recommend paying them a visit. And number 10 is the unboxing of a new inbox, Simpsons Pinball Party. That's a little strange because that game is 20 years old now, but we're going to be unboxing it because it's never been open since it left the factory and it's going to be hosted by yours truly and uh we're going to have pinball ers they're going to be performing all types of upgrades on it by changing out the rubbers to titan they're going to be doing led conversion on i believe and this game will be raffled off at the very end of texas pinball festival it's being donated uh excuse me i don't have their names off the top of my head but it's being donated to the Texas Pinball Festival for the purpose of the raffle. So if you want a chance to win a new in box, the Simpsons Pinball Party, then there's your other reason to go to Texas Pinball Festival is to enter into that raffle. So I've given you 10 and now I'm going to give you a plus one. And that plus one is you. The people, everyone in this hobby. This is a chance for us pinball nerds to all gather and understand what we're talking about when we talk about it. How many of you out there are at work or wherever and you've got no one else to talk pinball about, even though something just happened the night before, whether it be a new game reveal, a new stream. And if you try talking to some of your coworkers like, hey, man, did you check out that stream for the new Stern Pooh Potters game or whatever? They look at you like, I don't care or don't know what you're talking about. But this is where you get to go to the Texas Pinball Festival, and everyone there is just right there with you. We're excited to talk about it as anybody else that you'd want to be able to talk to. So that is one of my favorite things, by all means, is the people. And I'm looking forward to seeing all of you at Texas Pinball Festival coming up next weekend. and i talked to the wrong camera the whole time awesome you
