So cigar smoking, right? You've always been a fan? Yeah, I've always been a fan. I do it a couple times a year, but I've never really kind of been into it, right? Okay. And, you know, I'm getting older and wiser and a little less impulsive, just a little bit. So, you know, I kind of really started to find out what I like, what I don't like, smoking a little more often. I'm never going to not laugh at you. And I was with a client the other day, and he was a huge cigar nut. So, you know, he brought it up, and I'm like, oh, that's, you know, I'm like, I'm real casual into this thing. And, you know, he's like, oh, you got to try this and that. He's giving me all these pointers and these different, you know, you like the smooth stuff, the mellow stuff, whatever. And he goes in his house, and he comes out with his humidor, and he's got, like, you know, every cigar known to man. And he's like, here. And he pulls out, like, two or three of these huge fucking Tony Soprano cigars, and he's like, just try these. He goes, they're smooth, they're mellow, you're going to love them. And it was great. So I sat with his wife and him for, I don't know, a couple hours, and we just shot the breeze, and it was awesome. and I got an awesome client out of it. I mean, this whole thing was great. So, yeah, I'm diving into the cigar aficionado. All right, man. You know I like to smoke cigars. Yeah, absolutely. Point me in the right direction. We're going to do this, yeah. She's convinced. She wants to come on the show, and she wants to talk to Laura, and I think it'd be fun. So I don't know what we're going to do yet. We might not do it quite next week. We might have to plan some stuff, right? Yeah, give us a couple weeks. But we're really excited about the 100th. And don't forget, guys, send us audio, send us video, roast us, love us, hate us. I don't care. Send us some good stuff. Tell us what you love about us. Tell us what you hate about us. Just don't send any more pictures of your butthole. No more butthole or dick pics, okay? I don't need that in my life. I really don't. I mean, my spam folder is not pretty. I wonder what the folks at Outlook think of me. Butthole. Butthole. Butthole. I hope the FBI doesn't. Do you need Viagra? Butthole. Butthole. Butthole. Butthole. Buttholes. So, yeah, so it's, I don't know. Some of you need to see Dr. John. All right, opening up the bar. Come in. Grab a seat. The bar is open. Before I get to you quickly, before I get to what's on tap, I just got to share with the listeners at home Dr. John's great dad joke for the day. Don't get Viagra stuck in your throat. It'll give you a stiff neck. That's perfect. That is perfect. I'm choking here. Oh, man. What is on tap today? We actually have a... Well, what you drinking? We opened the bar. What you drinking? You know what? More dad jokes. Well, this isn't really a dad joke. It's probably inappropriate, but I polished the knob today. Hey, you polished the knob. The knob is gone. The knob creak is done. The rest of the knob is in my drink here. Yes, perfect. Yeah, I polished off that knob. Yeah, I'm trying to polish off. Oh, tell them about that. I tried this right before we got started. It's terrible. Yeah, it's City Lights Brewing Coconut Porter. I love porter. I love coconut. I love coconut porters. I don't love this. I don't love this. But you know what? I'm going to drink this fucking thing. Okay, you're going to get through it. I'm going to get through it. I love it. Just hold my hand. Just got to get through it. Show me where the promised land is. Rachel flips the Skittles. No, I think we're out of Skittles, right? I should get a gummy. You want a gummy? Sure. All right. I'll be right back, guys. Put on the gummy music. Gummy music. So what's on tap today? We have poor man's pinball news, of course, as usual. We got some cool Tribe happenings. A lot of Tribe stuff going on this week. A lot of new games. We'll talk a little bit about that. The tribe was very active this week in purchasing new games, and I'm really excited to see that. It's pretty awesome. We got a little more on my pinball palace in my basement. Spoiler alert, I didn't get a lot done, but we're moving straight ahead, and I'm going to actually have some work done that I'm not going to do myself because it'll make it easier. We got some Twip news, which is always awesome. We're going to steal our news from Twip again. There was a lot of cool little stories this week and just a lot of cool little happenings in a couple different companies. A lot of good interviews in some of the podcasts this week, which I want to talk about. And then we have a new tribe member today. So I'm really, really pumped about that because this particular individual is somebody that I've been communicating with, I think, a little more. and this person's been around for quite some time in the poor man's pinball universe as it were. You all know him. You all love him. Yeah, we're excited, so this should be good. And then we have a poor man's pinball podcast top 100 revision. We're going to make some revisions to the top 100. Again, again, more revisions. Just a fun little game. So I really should have been here not getting gummies because I don't know what this show is about. You guys know more than I do now. So onward with the show. Let's do this. Drew. Number one item on the day. The agenda, sir. What are we doing? And we'll have – well, I'm already almost through. Oh, we're almost through. Oh, sorry. You shut up. Go upstairs, get your gummies, come down here. We're done. Show's over, folks. We got happy hour. We got Glenn's song, another Glenn song. Glenn has a new song. Glenn Glenn Waechter special. And what did you learn today? Perfect. So, yeah, I love it, man. All right, let's do this. Let's do it. Item number one. Poor man's pinball news. So much news. There is news. So much. Well, you know what? I'm going to twist these around here a little bit. We're going to do a little bit of the tribe news first because it kind of segues into the one of those news. Let's get crazy. Four new games were purchased this week by four different tribe members. and if you're a tribe member listen to this and bought a game we didn't know about it so you gotta share this shit with us man post your subscriber on facebook yeah thanks jagger three months currently uh two months streak yeah everybody thank you billy rachel lilgy she bought a demo man yes very nice yes so i asked her what her games are that she owns um demo man is not like the others because she's got some ems she's got a lost world um she's got a what is it sky jumper or sky king sky kings yeah sky king sky kings and something else so it's like one thing is not quite like the other and i think that is so flipping cool that she's got she's got a good uh good blend there oh i know it man that's so cool hold on I had so much pin envy this weekend. Lost World, Sky Jump, Card Tricks, and now Demolition Man. Oh, very nice. Demo Man, girl. That's got to be a cool... Where are those cheese slices? Raining down, raining down. Cheese slices for Rachel. So many cheese slices. Let's see some cheese slices, folks, for Rachel. Sky Jump and Card Tricks. Yes, Rachel, thank you for helping me out there. Yeah. Yeah, no, it's extremely cool. and Demoman in that lineup is going to get a lot of play, I think, because I love those older games. I know Rachel really loves them too. There's a lot of charm to those games, but sometimes you just need to flip a Williams, you know? Yeah. You just got to. You need some speed. You need some power. You need some good times, and Demoman's a fantastic game. You get in front of one, you just want to play it. uh ryan kuiper he got a turbo graphic seven and tribe member number one he got a a gottlieb victory nice you see this thing it looks it's i've i saw it i had never heard of it yeah i saw the pictures and i'm like yeah it looks the layout looks really original it's kind of cool um you know gottlieb always has those like little diamonds in the rough that you can find yeah so yeah very very cool he's going to be streaming it uh dave can you let us know when he's going to be streaming that if you know uh dave Jeff Brenner maybe friday maybe friday maybe friday maybe friday uh another purchase who's that uh orbital albert not sure if this counts as a tribe news but i bought a new goat today and calling him han solo han solo that definitely comes into tribe news yes so new goats are just as important if not more important more instrumental to the poor man's pinball podcast and i'm glad to know that we have another goat in the family so luke leah now han god i love them new goats very cool uh barbie i love you we got new goats uh ian creature from the black lagoon people have been following us on facebook you'll see i got that from jeremy schmitz who's also a tribe member I'll try to remember. Dave Bryan says, not sure. A few minor things to fix, which I'm sure Dave will be fixing. Right, Dave? On the victory, that is. Yeah. But they will be streaming it. That's very cool. So, yeah, Ian will be talking a little bit about that. And then I brought home my Earthshaker yesterday. So we have a lot of good stuff going on. My basement is fucking packed. I've never had four pinball machines down here. I'm looking at it now. There's no room to walk. Great. As far as I'm concerned, I thought I was at max capacity when I had some arcade games. Oh, that's right. Some arcade games, some Black Rose, and Space Invaders, because Space Invaders is like two pinball machines. But nope, we're officially at max capacity. It's terrible down here. So talk about this creature, man. That's what people want to know. Oh, well, what do you guys want to know about the creature? It's made in 1992, signed by John Trudeau, which is hilarious. Oh, Ian, today before I got here, Ian goes, did you know there was a signature on there? And I said, yeah, I saw it the other day. I had to rush out of here. But yeah, John Trudeau. I was like, man. John Trudeau signed the back glass. Now that thing's worth like $1,000. Bless. Oh, my God. Like, it just sucks. You know, that whole thing, like, you know, he shall not be named. But it's just, ugh. You know what's going to be cool? When I get, like, the mirrored back glass. you know it's gonna be better when you get any back glass other than that one yeah franchi i wish you would have done your back glass yeah i was gonna say just ask franchi to make you a translate he'll make you a one-off it'll be cheap it's fine it's fine it's fine i don't need cheap and franchi's still not talking to me so that's okay but no uh so we picked it up it's a quote-unquote work in progress i think there's it's i think it's seen some moisture Sure, it's seen some water. Connectors, well, there's a lot of rust in some of the connectors as far as the light lamps, the sockets themselves. But the actual connectors to the boards and stuff all look real clean. The boards themselves are extremely clean. There is collector's edition Radio Shack batteries in the backbox. I know. That can't be a good sign when you're like, when did these change? Well, they're Radio Shacks, so probably 20 years ago. yeah jamie schmitz when he was like selling this to me he was eating his uh blockbuster popcorn radio shack oh my god crazy bastard yeah uh i know so half of our audience is like what's radio yeah i gotta i gotta remove those batteries so um but yeah they don't look they look like everything's fine the boards are so shiny i i just i don't know if that's the water or if it's they look like new boards in there it is weird because yeah you're right the boards look brand new essentially i mean they look nice and yeah you don't see any corrosion or any acid damage but then you see like you know some of the metal has the pitting and different things so like there was some humidity maybe some water but um but you know it's structurally sound and everything's there this fucker and uh yeah we're gonna see what happens we're gonna see what happens we haven't plugged it in yet to see if it plays so we're just gonna plug it in dave's like don't do it because then you're going to be calling me i'm going to call him regardless dave what do you think should i just plug it in and see where we're at i mean if we get smoked my theory is we know exactly what's on fire and we know what needs to be fixed right you see smoke you see fire otherwise i can give you all the boards dave and you can just go through them tediously or i can just start one of them on fire dave what do you suggest i like that approach it's like dave we can uh we can start one on fire and send you one board to help us with or we can just send them all out and say uh tell us what tell us what we got here so anyways uh yeah anything else what about uh creatures on fire cavalier let her rip yeah yeah we're creatures on fire let her yep what's guys why it's called magic uh magic smoke we're we're risk takers as he had mentioned before i mean i'm sinking my life savings into dogecoin i mean jesus i got a box of rocks around here we'll just start throwing it out there to stop the fire how much how much more risk can i take i betting on money that doesn exist i like it cavalier let let just let her up let see what it goes Let her rip see what happens Let go All right That the plan anyway We probably do it after the show and see how it goes See where the smoke is. Maybe it'll work. What about Laser War? Is it working? Yeah, Laser War works. We need to repair part of... The GI, right? The GI on the right side is still out. um and the oh there's a a screw that got torn out of the playfield i think that was when um glenn glenn skateboarder glenn just hit that power shot his massive uh flipper skills yeah i didn't realize how strippedly how badly stripped that playfield was where that screw was so we're just gonna wood fill and put her in there man need to make a crypto called poor man says scoots we have one they're called bits yes you can invest today yeah you can invest today for the low low price of 100 bits all right well you know so we're just gonna do it we're gonna let that rip we're gonna the laser war is good we just need it needs it needs a day of love just needs a day of attention okay and then uh but we'll probably put up laser war i think pretty sure we're gonna put up laser war um just because the market's awesome right now and who doesn't want to overpay for a laser who doesn't want to overpay for any pinball machine i mean jesus right exactly tis the season tis the season so how about you man what about this earth shaker so i went to go pick it up uh pinsider uh scott i can't remember his pinsider name off the top of my hand uh but scott if you're listening a big shout out to you he lives in northern illinois uh scott was great and the funniest thing happened i pull up you know he's got this nice house i get there and he meets me outside and i said oh scott he's like yeah drew and and then he said to me he goes oh this is the first for me and i said what are you talking about he goes this is the first time a pinball celebrity has ever been to my house and i could not wait to tell my wife that one oh boy oh boy that's so cool i was like wow because i i didn't you know when we were talking going back and forth for the last month or so he never mentioned it and he said he was a fan and he listened and he asked me what the fifth pillar was and i told him i have no fucking clue we do know it's just a secret guys you're never gonna know but uh yeah super great dude uh he had not an escalera but he had the electro uh what was it called dave maybe you know it was it was an electric uh dolly so because his basement was kind of set up like mine and ian's where it's you know it's cramped to get down there so we had to go through this whole process to get this thing set up and go up the stairs but having this thing made it so much easier uh just very cool he let he let me use it on the way out so i got to like try it out and it's oh man i need i need one in my life yeah like even even for the couple stairs going into my house like so when i got home i'm so excited and i'm getting this thing in the house and i'm up on the first stair and this thing is so freaking heavy now and i'm just stuck. I had to call my wife who was in the backyard and I'm like, can you give me a push? And, uh, honey, Oh, there you go. Dave says, electro truck. I had one. Yeah, it's great. I mean, I don't know what the difference is between that and Escalera, but, uh, um, call Zach at flipping out. He'll tell you what the difference is. He'll sell you a nice Escalera. There you go. Um, but yeah, very cool. And yeah, so Kathleen helped me push this thing in and, uh, yeah, really happy with it so i'm i'm just excited not so i have i have two system 11 games now nice so there you go that that is my my earth shaker news and i'm really excited uh dave says escalator is better call zach and flip it out there you go thanks that's your answer the technical services manager says so so call flip it out today everybody does earth shaker turn on yes i've catched pinball how many games in total drew uh well so in my little bedroom now i took some pictures i forgot to post them yet today there are seven games in that bedroom like there's literally a small bed yes it's it's a you could any standard size bedroom just imagine putting seven pinball machines in there uh one is getting sold soon so it'll be out and uh yeah you can literally walk into the room there's a little fridge it's our little drink fridge that we use and then it's just all pinball and nothing does there a shaker turned on it does it works perfectly it works fine no everything works 100 yeah that's not the uh that's not the project the project is the creature nope i'm i'm debating restoring it but right now i gotta get meteor out of the house i gotta get um i have someone who wanted to buy the stingray so yeah i'm uh i'm working on some stuff but and the basement you know i just i want to get this basement done so there's there wasn't really anything i got done this week because i was so busy at work but uh uh this week i'm going to spend at least one day tackling uh prepping the walls for for sealing them so cause i want zach to give me a ride on the escalera at the next show i want him to get me a ride as well a mustache leno drew how many games we have in the basement uh i'm shooting for 10 to 12 leno that's that's the goal i told him once i fix up all my games he can have most of them i I think I might keep Creature, but other than that. Okay. So, yeah. He'll have mine as well. Yeah. I'm shooting for at least 10. He'll have my loner games. So, Ian and I together right now have 11 games. So, there you go. That's too much. That's a lot of games. That's too much pinballs. Just kidding. Never too much. Who's our audience again? Never, never too much. Once again, Scott. If you combine our pins, we have quite the collection. Oh, absolutely. Good shooters. Absolutely. Good shooters and then Oktoberfest. So, yeah. But, yeah, Scott from Pinside. Let's see if I can find him here. Oh, there's 228 Scotts from Pinside. There's too many goddamn Scotts on Pinside. You're not going to find him. Surprise, surprise. Oh, man. Anyways, so, yeah, Scott, thank you so much. And, yeah, I'm really enjoying Earthshaker. All right, cool, man. What else we got? Oh, Oktoberfest. Yeah, put that up for sale. Oh, that's great. I think someone is going to be grabbing it on the 15th. So I'm excited for him to – he was going to pick it up on Sunday, but things fell through, and now he's on vacation. Go figure. So we'll see how it goes. But, yeah, it's pretty much sold. Sold. How do I feel about it? Yeah. I'm hurt. Are you bittersweet? I really do like the game a lot. It fits in the basement so well. I am going to miss it. But then again, it's sitting next to Deadpool, and Deadpool's a fucking crazy good game. Yeah, I mean – You play Deadpool, then you go back to Oktoberfest, you're like, oh, yeah. That's not as good as I thought it was. My personal biases aside, because you guys know how I feel about Oktoberfest and Deadpool, I just think that 90% of people gravitate to Deadpool. Oh, yeah. Easy. Yeah, it's a better game. But Oktoberfest is so neat. Yeah. No, Oktoberfest is fun. And it is Ian. He is right. All right. So, cool, man. That's personal pinball news. We got everything? Okay. We do. Now we're going to steal some news from Twip. brought to you by twip this week in pinball talk to jeff in pinball is in chat yeah no shit when it's in poor man's party guys i'd come up for that what what did i we missed something oh yeah they're talking about the escalator there you go free mustache rides at the poor man's booth oh that's probably nicole i don't know zach i feel would be okay with that mustache right all right giving or taking he's okay yes he's doing good oh so yeah news brought to you by this week in pinball thank you jeff we are stealing your shit once again uh lots of cool stuff um well some of it he reported on it but there were some uh interviews i'll talk about because i think there's some really interesting stuff one of them happens to be the pinball show interviews uh uh shout out to flipping out pinball and uh this uh the pinball pinball network yeah yeah the pinball network um so anyways uh first though the fathom teaser video did you have a chance to watch that i watched the teaser so uh you know they released that they were gonna make this and that was like the teaser teaser this is more of a trailer i guess what's that chat talking about expo Billy Yeager says just get ready to avoid the bathrooms meaning they're referencing somebody puking and holding his dick in a bathroom I don't know who like I'm the only one in the world that's ever done that Jesus Christ at expo? yes in the history of expo? yes buddy you are the man I own it I fucking own this shit he's a fucking legend get with it legend in my own mind yeah um i'd do it again anything worth doing is worth doing really dumb and hardcore that's what we are all right keep going all right this gummy's gonna kick it i'm gonna be fucking useless so so fathom revisited uh yeah so they they released uh haggis pinball releases video of um you know of some gameplay it sounded like there were some call-outs that they're going to have in there um the the two little lcd screens great touch the awesome yeah the awesome light show um the cabinet uh they call it the reflecto cab i think so cool yeah very cool very reflective this whole package um stern jjp are you listening this is what an le package should be okay because i will be the first to say this is pretty expensive however i will also be the first to say that this is the way you do an ali i mean you know putting just putting some armor on and slapping a name plate on the game it it doesn't add any value what haggis pinball has done here is they've seriously added some value to the game so whether you think the game is too much you know price right whatever that's that that's that's an opinion but uh i don't think anyone can deny that this is a stellar le flipping out pinball just said um i want a poor man's party in wisconsin i'll buy a keg yeah that'll be a good warm-up wait that'll be a good training reel there oh are you talking about mgc yeah we can do that too okay are you you're hosting a party nice you're sponsoring a poor man's pinball party flipping out pinball is sponsoring the poor man's pinball you heard it here first folks no take backs i'm not even looking at chat now i'm not even looking at chat don't even look at it the pre-game party the party and the post-game party yes he's supplying all games all beer all right thank you buddy you heard it here what a good sponsor pinball everybody orbit albert yes haggis did great at giving just enough on mermaid package to be worth it they priced it right if they priced it lower it would have sold in one hour and left meat on the bone yeah in today's world once again i mean you can debate you know single level game nine thousand dollars but man that thing looks good and and you know kudos to them because you know what's the reason why fathom is so desirable because it's such a killer looking game yes right if you take that up it i mean it's brilliant starting with that game first and so good and and for a boutique company it's a perfect this is the right price because they're selling to high-end collectors and that's perfect that's cool because they're not going to make a thousand of them they're going to make what 250 of the mermaid i think yeah and then however many they make of the regular but so yeah i i just there you go you get some some cheese Sound effects. Sound effects. We got Skittles. Oh, you want that? I thought you wanted some applause. We started clapping. Do some Skittles. We got it all. Huggies Pinball, you get cheese, you get Skittles, you get applause. Taste the rainbow. I fucking love it. Skittles and cheese. Skittles and cheese. Oh, live catch pinball. I would buy tickets to fly to the poor man's party. Only 10-hour flight. Well worth it. You won't remember it, but maybe it's not worth it. Live catch pinball. Remember, this party is sponsored by Flip N Out Pinball. Put it on the tab. It is free booze. It is free food. There are girls there. There are guys there. There is, yeah, it's everything. It's open for everybody. We are totally inclusive. There will be male strippers. There will be female strippers. You reach inside someone's pants, you're going to find something you like. If not, move on to the next one. Go to the next one. Move on. One of the pairs of pants is going to have something for you. Are we still talking about pinball? I think we are. Is this a Hoggis pinball commercial? This is exactly what Damien wanted to hear when we talked about his fathom. Put your hand down the pants, find something you like, and then pull it out. If you don't like it, go to the next pair of pants. You're fine. It's the poor man's party. Oh, my God. Yes, so fathom, beautiful game. The mermaid package is beautiful. um i love the under the cabinet lighting effects i love that they did the code 2.0 on it with our boy marty good job marty for helping out with that yeah um and having just new call outs i mean it's got to be a pretty cool thing for an owner of fathom and someone who loves fathom deeply you know would be like they're used to the game and now all of a sudden they get their hands on something like this it would be something incredibly absolutely if anyone would you sell an original fathom to get yes an upgraded version yeah not even i would not even a question just because a there's new code um you know the upgraded lights the lcd um if you're a purist that's fine uh i respect you but that's yeah and i will also say that when i first saw it like you know when they had a little teaser and they just had pictures right i was like you know it's it's fine yeah but then when i saw this video i was telling you before it took me like one step closer to like i might want to own this yeah right yeah because it's still a little out of my price range you know for what it is and my my small collection but seeing that video and just it's very well done guys once again i think you could sell it and get your money back all day no and i was i think the price will retain i was gonna say that in today's market today's world you probably make some money on the mermaid edition you you may just bringing it to the states yes you you absolutely may so so if you it's then it's like a savings account i've said that before and i'm fine with that you know so yeah no it's it's awesome drew likes touching things tony scucci You have no idea. I've seen it. I felt it. I know too much, kids. So anyways, yeah, very cool. Moving on now. Moving on to totally new stuff. Yeah, let's keep going. What do we got? Pinball Show interviews. John. Dude, so many nice, like, amazing, awesome interviews. I'm going to butcher his name, but it's still a cool story. Rothermel. He's the director of mechanical engineering from Stern Pinball. Now, he was. He's one so hard at work on all those spinning mechs. He was on the Pinball Show interviews. Joking, guys. I'm joking. Nobody has a sense of humor. But what I found really – I didn't even see the chat. I just knew someone was going to shit on me. So the best thing about this was he was talking about what Steve Ritchie wanted to do in Star Trek. Yes. And the Vengeance ship, he wanted to make, like, if you can imagine the NFL cameras, how they go, like, sideline to sideline. he wanted to do something like that where this vengeance ship like went the whole length of the play field and did some crazy shit and they got close to it and then they were just like this is too expensive it's it's cost prohibitive astronomical costs are rising and they're like um we're just gonna scrap it you know that almost that story reminded me of that uh special when lit uh interview with brian eddy and they talked about the ship from attack from mars and how it was supposed to come forward and stuff. Oh, yes. Yes, absolutely. And then all of a sudden the cost was coming up. So there you go, guys. History is repeating itself. I just think that was really – Your spaceships can't fly in pinball. They can't fly. That was really cool. And then – Slimer can. Sure. Slimer did all right. Sure. But this guy, I mean, he's done it all. He helped work on Sparky. He worked on the Hyperloop on Star Wars. So he did a lot of this mechanical awesomeness that Stan has. No, I know it. Very cool. Very cool. Check that out. The Black Knight Toy was another great one of his. Pinball Network. Yeah, go to Pinball Network and Pinball Show Interviews and check it out. Josh Rothermel. Rothermel. Rothermel. But that kind of ties in. The Loser Kid did an interview with Steve Ritchie. Seriously? What is going on here? So I reached out to Steve Ritchie. Yeah, he actually asked to be on the show. We said, Steve. Well, when I reached out to him, he just said, what? Too soon? Bad jokes. Okay. Bad jokes. Anyways, so I think he would like that. I think he would laugh. You think Steve Ritchie would laugh? Does Steve Ritchie laugh? Keep going. I'm looking right at you. He's not going to look at me because he's going to start giggling. Because I have even worse jokes that I just want to pass this segment. Let's move past it. All right. Move past it. So Loser Kid talked to Mr. Steve Ritchie. The legend himself. The legend. Finish him. And, you know, kind of tying into the last one with Josh Rothermel. the mechanical engineer at Stern. It's starting to sound like Hormel Chili. Hormel Chili. Hormel Chili. Anyway, keep going. He said Star Trek was his favorite Stern game that he's worked on. So I found that interesting. Well, because it's by far his best. You think so? Oh, yeah. Dude, that thing shoots like fucking... It is good. It's a bit... It is good. But we had this debate. We had this debate. Star Trek for Spider-Man. Do you think that's just because of the theme? Might most people prefer Spider-Man over Star Trek? I don think most people do Spider or Star Trek Didn we do this on here I thought we did that chat one time I don know I understanding that star trek is a far better i love star trek i said it many times like as a couple of non as we are yep that game badass no i would never say that about a star trek property because i just don't like star trek i'm with you but something about that game yeah it's badass yeah so um and then he also talked about the time ed Ed Robertson introduced them at a bare naked ladies concert yeah pinball show interviews have been a great listen fun show yes cause cause who are the poor men interviewing fuck nobody we're trying eric minier are you listening keith ellen are you listening i think we got blacklisted on everybody so and then when i say we're outliers now no no yeah and then uh yeah i think we got blacklisted I don't think there's a lot going on. It's because of Drew's bad jokes. It's something, man. I have no idea. Uh-oh. So anyways. Very cool. Check that out. Loser Kid Podcast. Pinball Network. The Pinball Show Interviews Show. Beautiful. Is that redundant? Is that what you say? The Pinball Show Interviews Show. Yep. Lots of shows. Yep, the giggling is starting. another retirement from jjp remember they had one like two weeks ago i think it's the same yeah no it's not i checked i checked my facts i checked my facts uh for not Jose Fernandez who are tardo all right live catch pinball hold on drew live catch pinball who needs pinball person uh personality interview oh jesus i fucked this up who needs a pinball personality interview when you can get the poor man hot tub live stream. Blue Billy YJ. Sponsored by Flip N Out Pinball. Billy YJ, the live catch pinball. The tribe already thought about this, but we were shut down. LOL. Orbital Albert. If we do a poor man's tribe live stream from a hot tub with a keg, Twitch will ban us. Flip N Out Pinball. You bring the goats, I'll bring the love, and then you play the hot tub. Perfect. You heard it here first, folks. you see how twitch has really helped us get off the rails like we don't even attempt to go on the rails much oh i love that about our show this guy that i met and this gives you anxiety i'm sorry but this is our show thanks jeremy for the for the bits cavalier uh we paid for those bits this uh this guy scott down in illinois he said a funny thing to me he goes oh you're doing that live show now i said yeah he goes oh i always listen to the audio i'm like oh that's cool then he goes because what are you doing that live show on and i said oh twitch he goes oh is it twitch or is it facebook or whatever and i said oh he's kind of laughing he goes you guys were like on everything and i'm like yeah we were trying to figure out where we wanted to be and it's just you know he's just like oh we were on everything for one episode i know we did we tried well he doesn't follow the show he follows the audio so he didn't we tried to do that that yeah we started on facebook until they kind of banned us a bit so it was just funny just kind of the way he said it yeah just kind of made me chuckle good but here we are on twitch all right so who's leaving uh Jose Fernandez hurtado so yeah another guy but what's going on jjp everyone's retired i know they must have had an older crew yeah so getting younger getting meaner making more machines younger meaner leaner leaner meaner sweet uh yeah so look at us busting through the news like nothing you see that canada's like sitting about oh i'm the mr news guy and here we are we just crushed the news in what three hours it feels like a lot so how about all these uh mando rumors that canada likes to talk and what did you listen to his latest episode let's Let's do a little Kaneda watch. Okay, go ahead. No, I hadn't listened in the last couple of days. I actually listened to the latest episode. It's been a while since I tuned on to Kaneda only because I've been real busy. But today I was able to do it. And what did Kaneda talk about? He talked about pinball machine, now the higher market, the higher collector's market. um there's this there's this thing going on right now where somebody we'll take uh sorry we'll take uh jjp's uh pipes to the caribbean for instance right sure um i guess a distributor just found quote unquote or maybe had it tucked away a new in box collector's edition you know jjp pirates so and that went for something like 30 something grand well that was one of them that already sold yes okay so his point is are we going to see a lot more of this where distributors i mean they have the list of their le's right they know who where all their le's are going but holding back and he also threw in how has nobody started a business where you buy like a fine art collector you buy up these machines keep them in the boxes and then wait a year wait two years and then release i i wouldn't be shocked for crazy sure i wouldn't be shocked if there's already people out there doing that not a lot but there's probably a few okay well how would you feel about all distributors doing kind of being sneaky about and well there again a couple well and zach can probably chime in a little bit on this but if there's rules aren't there well i don't know if it's so much about rules if you if you own a business you know you have to make decisions that are best for your business you know we can argue all day if this is ethical or moral and all that stuff but at the end of the day if that distributor holds on to something and then maybe maybe it's something like wwe or monsters or transformers where you know the value actually went down right you know uh x x-men le right if you have an x-men le today in a box you know you'll sell it but you know you can't you can't get 9 000 for it i know those didn't cost that much back then yeah but but you know you see what i'm saying though yeah you can still get some money for those but you're not losing a ton but if you sell just one tron le for 30 or or Pirates of the Caribbean. How many games does that take to usually make $30,000 for a distributor? No, absolutely. So therefore, it does make more sense. And I don't think it would even out. Flipping out pinball. Look at the time. Oh! He's bowing out of this conversation. He's like, ah, a little cringe. Well, no, like I said, and I don't begrudge those guys for doing that. They're business people. Zach's house is made out of toppers. Dealers all the time sell game for more than MSRP. Oh, I knew that. You know, another, okay, example. I talked about this on the show. I like this guy. No, so once again, there's no ill feelings. I actually think it was fine of him. So Kurt from Hemisphere Amusements down in Illinois, he had a Ghostbusters Pro when I was looking for those new in box. and it was like he was charging a couple hundred more than um uh retail at the time for a stern pro but they don't make those anymore right and uh and he was going to charge me shipping because they don't make those anymore yep and it's not you know so it's it's fine you know if these guys are going to make a couple you know hundred bucks or whatever it's good good on them i'm just curious i know i just want to know if that's something that's going to continue probably will it will Here's my thought. I don't really care because I'm never going to be in that market. That's really outside of my realm. I won't have to worry about it. Zach says, we don't because I think it's kind of tacky and new in boxes that are allowed to us. Allotted to us, sorry. So yeah, I don't know. Everyone does their own thing. All right. Good on them. So what do we got? New tribe member? What are we doing next? Yeah, we could do a new tribe member. You want to do a new tribe member, everybody? I don't think he's in here. I haven't seen him, so he won't be joining us tonight, but we'll celebrate him anyway. We will. Oh, he's here. Tribe member, here we go. He's here. He's in chat. Stop pointing at things. God, you're so weird. I was pointing at my junk just there for you audio listeners. thank you sir may i have another poor man's pinball tribe thank you sir may i have another poor man's pinball tribe thank you sir may i have another poor man's pinball tribe right now yeah that always freaks me out all right so the tribe drew would you like to describe what is to be in the tribe the feelings the limitless opportunities that you have now received we were just talking about it it's a limited edition pinball community that's like five different reasons i did it you got it man that's it the poor man's pinball tribe is a limited edition pinball community it is it is very limited it's very exclusive that's why canada wants it in the worst way so he calls me like every week oh i didn't tell you him and i were messaging the other day yeah yeah he just it was late at night after he has a few drinks he likes to message me and i always enjoy me too because i'm having a few drinks too so him and i go back and forth and we're just oh we're just having a good you're having kessler's he's having remy marden yeah okay just yeah i'm like i'm like this is dogecoin and he's drinking bitcoin yes yes that's it so no um Um, tribe members, right? You know, when I was messaging him and telling him that he was going to be in the tribe, he was like, that's awesome. Super pumped, blah, blah, blah, really excited. He's like, but I'm real tired. I've been working in the oil fields on the oil rig all day in Texas. That was one of the manliest phrases I've ever heard ever. Yeah, yeah. So pretty crazy. Is that sexist to say? Can I even say that anymore? I feel like it's pretty good. I want to get back hold on real quick Stephen Silver let me show you on the dial where the tribe touched me so that's his response so Jay Sellers shoots off one of the manliest responses guys I'm real tired I'll send you some info tomorrow most guys would be like I've been on that oil rig all day I've had too many drinks today can I get back to you tomorrow or something and he's like no I'm making America great and doing whatever I just figure he's doing some manly shit. I feel like he'd have one of those really crazy oversized wrenches for whatever reason. Just badass Jay Seller shit. Just in his back pocket. Yeah. Fuck. Whatever. He probably has a desk job, but he's not going to say it right now. He's like, actually, I go to this trailer every day. I look at Pinside. He's like, I'm the fucker that pumps the oil. Pump one and pump two. Those are my arms, by the way. Pump one and pump two. All right. Jay Sellers, favorite games as a kid were Paragon, Space Invaders, 8-Ball, Firepower, and his all-time favorite, Pin Matahari. That's awesome. Yeah, Zach said, Jay is good people. Congrats, buddy. Yeah, he is. He is good people. He bought his first pinball machine, Newing Box, in 2003, a Lord of the Ring, which he still has. Lord of the Rings, Newing Box. Not a bad one. Excellent. Not a bad one. learned about this crazy hobby and tpf while visiting fun in mesquite texas uh that day he also bought a monsters and a iron on the same day yeah fucking killer dude that's manly that's manly i want that i want that throwing money in the air just going are you like the rich texan from citizens give me a bunch of pinball shot has gone up in the air a few times through some money he's like i'll take the monsters and the main i don't care this is bad that one time we were talking about shooting cows in the pasture yeah yes that's about as texas as we came uh he's a big fan of the pinball podcasting so he was got real into the podcast stuff so straight down the middle slap save twip which zach was on and now uh you know he's on to the tpn stuff and and somewhere down on the bottom it's the poor man's pinball podcast but none of those other guys made you a tribe member but you are my man so number 41 all right 41 ian yep and his current lineup iron maiden premium jurassic park premium which he traded for the monsters um the waka ce so maiden premium jurassic park premium waka ce gnr ce and of course his original lord of the rings that's a that's a killer lineup man that's a good line i gotta know what shooter shooter uh deep rule set in wonka and really good shooting but hard as fuck gnrce i have not played it but from what it looks like it looks like a fun game and lord of the rings everyone's played that game or if you haven't you should find a lord of the rings that is a saga of a pinball yeah and that's the perfect lineup for a wonka too yeah oh absolutely yeah that's because like wonka isn't like a one or two pin but you you got that five pins there that's that's a good one yeah all right so let's look at the updated tribe list again that didn't update either it did update before jay sellers is number 41 the audio people don't know that you screwed that up but i just told them yeah thank you i appreciate it see that's where it does so yeah 41 tribe members i'm learning stuff every day about this thing we are overjoyed about all you guys and gals and everyone who's not a tribe member and just listens to the show thank you thank you so much while ian's doing this i think there is thank you there's jay sellers number 41 you got to see your name up there so jay sellers what does this mean well sir it means that you will be given the secret invite to the poor man's pinball tribe page the key to the pinball castle it is pants fucking a man josh mud dude yeah jay sellers uh mud mother man get your get your uh on subscribe button finger ready josh mud um i had so much fun with him this weekend because if those of you don't know josh mud has posted so much ridiculous shit on the on the secret page that facebook won't ban him per se but i have to literally approve everything and i uh approval post like twice a day where it says it's more than that it says the ones I catch yeah he's like do you approve this post and I look at it every time I hit the button there like a dick that slaps me in the face and then I like yep approve yeah I always approving I always approving i don need to look at it so anyway it was like a 30 thing where i had to just keep approving his ass and then like day one of me not having to approve anything something from april got caught by the facebook censors and there's definitely a penis involved in that one they slapped him back on the bank so i gotta approve him again and the next day he had five fucking posts i had to approve it's becoming a part-time job oh man yeah one of our moderators yeah keep sending him mud i fuck with you but oh my god it's so funny it is cracking me up man he's like sorry dude that post is from april oh i love it so jay sellers you're gonna have fun with that one so uh but yeah look at that list That's a beautiful list. A lot of great people there. So, all right. Drew? Yes. What's going on, man? Not much. We just did Jay Sellers. That's awesome. Yeah. Woo! Skittles, skittles, skittles. Eating them skittles. All right. So, does Franchi even listen anymore? That's a great question. Franchi's mad at me. Reach out to him. I think you guys talked to him. I've sent him a few messages. We'll see. Franchi, are you out there? Yeah. That's a message. Let us know how you're doing. Yep. Just like last week. I think he's still mad at me. Okay. Probably. So top 100 revision. Let's play a little game. Quick, easy, it's fun. Very quick. Very easy. So the fun is still out there. We'll see if it's fun. Explain the rules, Ian. All right. So since Drew just made this up and now I have to come up with rules, here's what we're going to do. No, we have the rules. Jesus Christ. No, the object of the game is, and we're going to need help in chat too. All right. This is the game. we're gonna go to pinside's top 100 list yep it's one of those games uh 101 to 200 i think we should pick out three maybe four games three games that deserve a second chance to be on the top 100 and should be in the top 100 what do you think well yeah there's super simple concept there's a lot of good games especially with these prices and how we're going to be at his computer typing and he's gonna be like you know this is actually the game they played on slap save episode four worst episode ever ian harwar um yes ian i know this this idea came to me because you're looking at all these prices on pin side and you're like then you start seeing these other games you start looking i mean there's a lot of good stuff in here well i think about you know think about three years ago four years ago it's like every time a new game comes on it knocks another one of the old games off. That's true. That's starting to balance out a little bit, but yeah, you're right. Yeah, there's not too many new games on page two is what I'm saying. Yeah, no, there's... I don't know if there's any. Exactly. I mean, games from the last, say, ten years? But there are some games on page two that are definitely worth owning, definitely worth playing, and could be potentially better than some of these other options. So, let's get into this shit. And this is no particular order. Oh, Rachel, Demoman is it nba fast break there you go mustang yeah demo man's 102 today yep demo man should be top 100 it should all right what's your first choice well it was demo man demo man demo man is my first choice i feel like demo man is beautiful enough it is it's got the mechs it's got the shots it's got everything in a pinball package that you would want as an owner and as a pinball enthusiast and some of those 100 games i don't think are the complete package but demo man is what do you think about demo man being in the top 100 oh i think it should be there yeah just because it's you know it's that classic williams and you know it's a wide body but um does it shoot like a wide body no well good wide body once again you don't use that far left shot very often Good wide bodies don't feel like wide bodies. Yeah. Well, just I like all the ramps. That's pinball, baby. Yeah. I just, Demoman is just a good game. And you know what? If I ever see a Demoman, what do you do? You play it. You see a Demoman on location? Every time. You go right to it. That plasticky chrome looking stuff just calls you in, man. All right. Jackrabbit, NBA Fastbreak, another good shooter, man. That made my honorable mention, but yes. That's a fun one. It is. It's just a fun game. Good call outs. You feel like you're part of the game. A little cheesy in a lot of places, but that's what pinball is, man. It's got to be cheesy. Let's see. What else we got? Mustang. Glen-O. Yeah, Mustang. Another underrated game that, if released today, would be a killer game still. Still a good game. This one, I just don't know why it's where it's at, but Radical. Radical. That was my number two. Yeah. Okay. Because Radical is such an awesome, unique game. I think it's because there just isn't enough out there. I know, but they say that about a lot of games. And then you look at Pirates of the Caribbean. One of the best examples. There's not a lot out there. We played one on location. We tried finding a radical on location. Oh, yeah. That's not going to happen. No, I just think games like that. Jack Rabbit, what did you do to Franchi? I'll tell you later. Message me. I'll tell you. PoorMansPinball at gmail.com. Message us. We'll message you back. Franchi stuff. Franchi stuff. Yeah, I love French. Everyone knows that. All right, so your number two is Radical. Yeah, Radical. It looks the part. It's beautiful. It's got great shots. It's got a unique layout. It fits the time period that it was released perfectly, but now that stuff is hot right now? Shit. Move that up the charts, boys and girls. The thing would be a killer re-release. Vault that shit if someone could. Vault it. Vault it. Bailey, is Bailey around? Can they still make games? I don't know, but joking. Oh, Planetary Pinball. Yeah. They have all the licenses. Radical. All right. Radical. That's my number two. What's your number three, dude? My number two is the one I just brought home, Earthshaker. Pat Lawler design. It's got the shots. It's got kind of a cool theme. It's got a lot of cool mechs. System 11, too. Yeah, System 11. It's just, like, great. Yeah, Earthshaker should be in the top 100. I'm going to start a petition. Michael Williams. Michael Williams. Corvette. Corvette. See another Corvette? I played that for the first time. No, Mustang and Corvette. I played Corvette for the first time at District 82. Jackrabbit, Cyclone. That was an honorable mention of mine. Cyclone is a killer game. It's a good game. Yeah, Cyclone. Okay. Where is Cyclone on here? Hang on. And Roller Games. I love Roller Games. Cyclone 151. Yeah. Roller Games is a great game. It doesn't have the code, but I didn't progress through anything in that game, so I didn't notice any problems with the code. But the shots are so much fun. Shots are so much fun. uh 111 cheese slices for demo man yes you better believe it orby diner cause diner yeah diner's 101 it was there man it was there it's it's on the cusp diner has the rules gleno loves it he talks about it all the time oh one uh diner definitely is the top 100 game it really is man all right uh let's see here it's gotta be goat uh let's see Banzai Run is that on page two i Yeah, 103. 103. Banzai Run, unique game, extremely fun. Yeah, I think it's frozen now. I think it's one of those games, though, I think there's just not enough of them out there. No, you're right. But, yeah, it's beautiful. All right, let's see here. PPS, Planetary, yes, I know. I've been playing Banzai Run on the Pinball Arcade app. Cool. What did Dave Jeff Brenner say? Hold on. About what? I don't know. I'm looking at this. Oh, never mind. Okay, let's see here. Sopranos Underground Pinball I feel like you mentioned Sopranos before Underground Pinball yeah they're 105 yeah Sopranos now I've played it at a bar it was a pretty scuzzy bar it was a beat up machine oh that was at Trader Nick's I wasn't too thrilled with it yeah it's that era of you know Photoshop and that kind of stuff I'm afraid that Franchi will stop talking to me if I have Kanae down but I'll be respectful So, Orby, you do you, man. If people get upset, people get upset, brother. I'm not crying about Franchi not liking me anymore. I'm just inside dead a little bit. So let's keep going. All right, let's see here. Let's see. Do, do, do, do, do. Good pick. Let's see what else. Elvis. Okay. So that's about it. That's a good game, though. You got any other honorable mentions, dude? Well, Mousin Around, another System 11. I don't know if that should be top 100, but it's fun. Oh, I put Gorgar. Gorgar? Yeah. Gorgar is a fun game, dude. It's okay. It looks the part. It's fun to shoot. What do you mean? No? Not cool enough? Not hip enough for you, bro? I don't think she should be in the top 100. All right. I don't think Earthshaker should be. Fair enough. Fair enough. That was a classic Ian and Drew fight. That happened. It's recorded. classic oh my god well that was a great game yeah it's all right yeah this thing is frozen up so that's cool no fear no fear no fear oh that is one yep that's a good one that is one all right so let's move on drew what else you want to do today uh we have glenn's song we do we play glenn's song while everyone get a refresh yes that would be perfect you sit your asses down and you listen to the song it's beautiful and i thought i looped it to something but who knows what i looped it to now because this thing is being goofy. So let's all sit back and listen to another beautiful Glenn song. Sweet, sweet Glenn. I can show you a world Jungles, deserts, and oceans Tell me, pin sign, now when did you last see a pin and cry? I didn't know what to pick because I didn't listen to the show. Oh, Skittles. What a perfect name to play. Right at the end of that lovely song. Damn, Glen. Sometimes I get lost with your voice. I don't even listen to the words. Is that weird? No, not at all. God, you sound good. Man. Great stuff, Glen. That's spectacular, man. A whole new world. I can't do it. I know. He just had that smooth voice. Chat, like, for the first time ever, didn't get disgusting. It's just like, Rachel starts it off. This is so sweet. I let everyone take my money and nice work, and I love it. Instead of dildos and buttholes. Oh, I love Disney. Yeah, these are the same guys yelling about their buttholes and grabbing Drew in the bathroom. Oh, my God. I know who we're hiring for the live band at Poor Man's Pinball Party. There you go. No doubt. Glenn, you've been hired. Oh, Glenn. Beautiful man. I love it. I'm going to give you some emu. Some emu. Some other stuff. Some cheese. Great. Oh, yeah. Some cheese. I learned that there's a whole new world of pinball themes available out there I also learned that Stern will not pay for them I learned that Stern will pay for them but they will animate their own princesses thanks for saying oh yeah they will pay for it they'll hire Steve Ritchie to sing all the songs what is this shit he puts his knife away I'm going all over the place sorry everybody it's a disaster here I'm just trying to do a thing here and it's just not working. Whatever. Thanks, Flip N Out Pinball. So I want to say thank you to my... Disney songs, me, or Skittles, urine or vomit, the hits never end. Yes, that's it. That's about right. That's our new tagline, Zach. We have lots of them. Thank you, Zach. You're the one that coined the sloppiest show on the internet, so I appreciate it. You created this moniker that worked for us. So I will say this. Thank you, Flip N Out Pinball, for being a hell of a sponsor and for sponsoring our awesome pinball party. then uh uh doc finlay over at pinballprices.com this week in pinball pin stadium lights jockton over there on pin shades uh the two very very attractive men over at pin swap um and i want to say a special thank you for Stephen Silver and billy yj they're working behind the scenes on getting a new hat out there for pinball merch so yeah i'm excited about that we got some we got a Pretty unique logo. I think we're coming close to finalizing that one. So that was really cool. Thanks, Tim Wart for, or Tim Lee, sorry. Tim Wart. Tim Lee for being such a great friend to Drew. It just brings a sparkle to my eyes. Jeremy, thank you for the creature. Drew? Yes. Do you have anything you want to say? I love all you guys. All right. We're going to find someone to rate. Who do you guys want to rate tonight? Let's rate them. Let me look on the old Twitch stream here and see who's active right now, because let's get radical. Who is on Twitch? Flip N Out Pinball's on. We're raiding those guys. All right, guys, well, stay classy out there. End, motherfucker, end. My end button's not working. Push the end button. There it goes. I don't know what to say. I wonder what the side of a book is. The views expressed on this podcast don't necessarily reflect the views of our sponsors. Obviously, they don't really care as much as we do about buttholes and what's inside them. So thanks for listening, guys. Have a great day. Bye-bye.
