### Signals

- **[gameplay_signal]** Walt observes significant quality difference in code between Stern design teams, specifically praising Elwin team's crisp mechanics and criticizing Transformers for lacking engaging gameplay moments despite being a fun shooter mechanically. (confidence: high) — Direct gameplay observations of multiple Stern titles; cites specific mode examples (King Kong island lock, NYC event, rapids mode) vs. Transformers stream gameplay
- **[design_philosophy]** Identifies key differentiator in Elwin's design: creation of memorable gameplay 'moments' (castle destruction in Medieval Madness, saucer destruction in Attack from Mars, multiball starts) that Transformers lacks. (confidence: high) — Walt explicitly states: 'That's the one thing Elwin was so good at, man. He was good at creating like a moment...'
- **[product_concern]** Transformers' featured mechanical innovation (moving mech at top of playfield) failed to function during official stream reveal, though cannon-to-flipper mechanism worked. (confidence: high) — Walt directly observed stream: 'the little mech is supposed to move, dude. And it even looks like there's a ball path behind there. And they didn't get it to work.'
- **[sentiment_shift]** Walt expresses frustration with recent Stern releases not delivering 'bangers' and is now considering designing his own machines rather than relying on manufacturers to meet expectations. (confidence: high) — Direct statement: 'I'm getting sick and tired of having to wait for these to give me a banger... I want to start slow. I want to make an em.'
- **[personnel_signal]** Walt speculates that Stern has different code design teams working on different games, with Elwin's team producing notably higher quality output than other teams. (confidence: medium) — Walt states: 'it seems like there's like different teams that code different games' and observes consistent quality pattern in Elwin-attributed titles vs. other Stern releases
- **[rumor_hype]** Grateful Dead pinball rumored to be in development; Walt expresses skepticism about music fit and licensing appeal. (confidence: low) — Walt references NAP forum discussion: 'they're saying a rumor about Grateful Dead... I mean, that could work... but I never got into the music of Grateful Dead'
- **[competitive_signal]** Walt asserts Colorado has untapped competitive talent that could significantly alter IFPA top 50 rankings if players increased travel to tournaments. (confidence: medium) — Walt discussing conversations with Colorado players: 'if Colorado, if we all like traveled, I'm telling you, bro, the top 50 would change. You'd see a lot of Colorado faces in top 50'
- **[community_signal]** Keith Elwin reportedly remains humble and accessible despite significant fame increase; Walt contrasts his initial meeting with Elwin 12 years ago to more recent interactions where Elwin is constantly approached for validation. (confidence: medium) — Walt's anecdote: 'He was asking me how it was going in the tournament... in the two minutes I was talking to him, there was at least like five people that came up to him like Godzilla is the greatest game ever'
- **[product_strategy]** Walt perceives Stern moving toward more sanitized game designs, citing removal of guns from John Wick cabinet and expressing concern about 'woke' politics affecting game design direction. But I'm telling you, it all started with the guns when they took the guns off the game of John Wick'
- **[industry_signal]** Walt suggests manufacturers prefer 'yes men' employees over unconventional personalities, positioning himself as unsuitable for Stern/major manufacturer employment due to his outspoken nature. (confidence: medium) — Walt: 'They want somebody who's more of a yes man, dude... I'm too hard around the edges, bro. PE like companies like Stern, they're never going to hire me'
- **[announcement]** The Goonies confirmed as Spooky Pinball's next game release in development. (confidence: high) — Walt references forum discussion: 'Spooky pinball update. ## Transcript

What's up everybody? How are you? How have you been? How has the world been treating you? I hope well. I hope you guys are getting excited about Transformers. There's a few things I like that I'm seeing, a few things that, you know, whatever. But, you know, I still think they need to get like everybody together instead of getting like, well, like I I don't know. I don't have any like insider information, bro. Stern doesn't tell me [] I don't [] know. Um, but what I gather it seems like there's like different teams that code different games because I I' I've talked about this before, but it just it I guess like it's just under in context or whatever. Like it seems like the Elwin games come out real crisp. Like I said, I talked about this before. Come out real crisp, ready to go. The game code, I understand it. Like I'm just talking for me. Like let's let's King Kong's a great example, right? Like I understood it. I know what Ellen's trying to get done. I I know like the intention. I know. Okay, I complete two sets of climb. It'll light this island lock. And then I do another Okay, it's going to light this [] uh you know what's what's the NYC event? And that's another fun mode. That's that's another thing. The modes are fun. The modes turn out to be fun. Even that rapids mode where you got to crank, it's the the dark blue arrow on this inner spinner and you got to crank it. You can just hit it a bunch of times. I like to bring double scoring in and then shoot the rapids like 20 times as many times as you can hit because you got to keep an eye on the timer on the LCD because if that if that [] goes out, it'll time out and then you won't collect. You got to collect it at under the cave, which is the uh shot under the flipper, you know, to get it in there. So, that's fun. All that is fun, dude. Like, I'm not getting a fun vibe from Transformers, dude. Like, I'm sorry. I watched the gameplay vid. I watched like it just doesn't it's not looking that fun to me, man. And that's why I'm saying like, yo, you got you guys got to talk to Elwin or and his team and [] Cuz I'm pretty sure it's probably Elwin who's like not only designing the [] but he's like telling these [] like it would be fun if this happened. Or maybe even comes in with rules already. Or maybe it's his like an Elton John kind of thing with like what was that Bernie guy who wrote most of his lyrics and [] like maybe there's something like that. Maybe Elwin's got like a a wingman that's helping him like this with rules. I don't know, bro. But all of his rules, it doesn't seem like there's a Elwin game I'm seeing where it's boring. Like I think Iron Maiden might be like the only one. Like people [] about Avengers. I don't [] get it. I don't get the [] about Avengers. People [] about Avengers. I don't see it. And trust me, bro. I'm not trying to kiss Elwin's balls. Like I know Elwin, dude. He's a cool guy. He's humble. He's soft spoken, bro. He's a really [] But the thing is with Elwin, dude, he gets blown up a lot now. Like the last time I was talking to him, it's like a year. I think it was like at Expo or something, maybe a year or two ago. He was asking me how it was going in the tournament, bro. Cuz I was [] I get in a beast mode, dude. When I'm [] bro, when I'm qualifying, dude, I get into beast mode. I look like I just murdered a body and I'm like hiding it. I'm like like I do. I don't know why I'm just I'm really competitive, man. It's just the way I am, dude. I'm competitive with everything, bro. It doesn't even matter. Pinball is just one of the things I have to be competitive about. So, I was talking to him, bro. He's like, "How's it going in there?" And I'm like, "I'm pretty, you know, doing good. I'm getting [] you know, talking to him about it, the whole thing." And but I only talked to him for like two minutes, dude. Right. And in the two minutes I was talking to him, there was at least like five people that came up to him like, "Godzilla is the greatest game ever. [] "Oh my god, Keith, it's so good to whatever." Like, "Oh my god." Like, dude, it was like he's just getting [] You know, that didn't happen when I first met him. I first met him like 12 years ago because he came out here in Lions for the national tournament. And for some [] weird reason, I won the state tournament in 2014. It was the first time they ever, the IFPA ever had state tournaments and I won it. This guy, unfortunately, I lost the trophy. I don't have it anymore, but you've got to believe me. It happened. I swear. Look it up. You can look it up. I don't I don't lie, man. I'm honest, dude. I'm honest to a fault. I'm ju just ask my girlfriend, bro. Like I I am honest until it gets me in trouble. And it's not like I'm trying to be a dick. It's just like I just believe I'm from the school of Larry David. Okay. In the school of Larry David, we're honest. And so like we get in trouble, bro. It's just the way we are, dude. We getting we IN TROUBLE FOR BEING HONEST. Especially with women these days. Oh my god. I'm sorry. Okay, look. I'm sorry. It's just the way I am. But what was I talking about? I was I was talking about something. I lost I lost track. Hey, you know what? All I want to tell you Oh. Oh, yeah. Yeah. So for some weird [] reason I won state tournament and then this is the only reason only reason I could have made it to the nationals is the Lord above God said you know what Walter I'm going to put the nationals in Lions Colorado dude they could have had that [] anywhere in the country if it was anywhere other than Colorado I would not have been able to up, bro. I was a drunk back then, dude. 2014, I was drunk. I was take I was still smoking [] Was I still meth or I was smoking crack? I wasn't on crack those days. I smoke a lot of crack and a lot of other [] Hey, man. I'm I quit. And you know what? Some people won't tell you that. I don't give a [] I'm honest. I don't care. I don't care if I lose 400 [] subscribers because you all think I'm crazy because I just told you that. I don't care. That's the way I am, bro. I roll like that. [] you. I encourage you all to be as honest as possible, man. Because our time, our society, bro, we are living in phonyville. Everybody just wants to say the s the right thing, the sanitized thing, the thing that's the safest thing, the most palatable thing. [] you. I say [] it. I said [] it time and time again. And you should, too. Don't believe this [] Don't believe this PC [] garbage world we live in. That's I honestly believe that was divine intervention in 2014. That that [] tournament in Lions that it just happened to be in Lions and I gotta ride, man. [] cuz Donovan Steppp was in it too. He's a Colorado legend. You guys know him. And [] he hooked me up with a ride. And luckily I was able to go. If it wasn't for God and Donovan, I wouldn't been able to go out there. I owe those two [] forever. And then I went out there and I met Keith. That's when I f first met Keith. And he kicked my dick in on Dracula and [] Indiana Jones. I almost got him on Indiana Jones, the big one, the wide one. [] I had like two [] billion. And he keeps going to the [] multiball in the middle. And then I got Zach Sharpe and Josh Sharpe on. They're like behind me on both my shoulders. You got it. You got this, bro. You got it. You could get it. YOU'RE GOING TO GET IT. Cuz I was unknown, bro. Nobody knew who I was. They were rooting for me to beat the mighty Ellen. You know, I almost had him on the [] Indiana Jones. He kicked my dick in on Dracula, bro. I didn't even [] know. They had the Dracula downstairs and a [] light on it. It was like I was like on stage, bro. And there was 50 [] people watching him. Like they all knew that he was there. I don't [] know. I was behind everybody and I had to worm my [] way through. excuse me, sorry to get to play my ball. And dude, I didn't know [] about Dracula. And if you don't know [] about Bram Stoker, Dracula Williams 93, you are [] You're [] I'll break the game for you down essentially in like a minute. What it is is you're trying to get your multi, you're trying to stack your multiballs together, right? So you got coffin, castle, mist, right? Mist is the one where it puts a magnetic ball across the screen and you got to hit it with the other ball. Coffin, you lock three balls. Castle, you lock three balls. So, the thinking is you're trying to stack the the goal is you're trying to stack all of them together in any kind of creative way or the best way you feel possible. I think the best way is to get them close. Uh you start one of the three balls, start missed because you want to start missed with more balls flying around. This I was talking to my girl about this like a week or two ago. We were playing it on my VPX. I was like, you can cuz the thing is if you start missed with one ball, you got one shot. And if you miss that [] missed multiball and it's gonna give you the ball and you got a ball, you're on your flipper, right? And you fire and you missed. That's it, bro. Like the ball's going to go over there and you're going to be like, cuz that's what I do. Like I fire. Well, that's what I used to do until I I changed this to the strategy, bro. That's the strategy I'm on now is I [] do that. So that way the [] ball you got more of a shot to hit it, you know [] He kicked my dick in, bro. He got like He knew that whole thing. So the the thing is so you stack the multiballs together. The reason why you do it when one multiball is going, it's that it's like 10 million and then you get 10 million for each shot and the game will tell you 10 million every shot. And then the next time you get two multiballs, 20 million and then it's 20 million every shot, you know, and then stack them all three together and you get 30 million. And then every shot is 30 million. Not to mention you're going for your other jackpots. I think it might 3x the playfield, too. Or it 3xes the jackpots. 30 million. Yeah, bro. That's it. That's your big strat right there. That's it. And Elwin was railing that [] dude. And I [] I didn't know any of this back then. I know any of this. I got my dick kicked in. But hey, it was fun, man. It was fun. What's the point of all this story? I don't [] know. I'm just telling you a story that happened. I don't [] There's no point. Sometimes people tell you stories in life and there's no [] point. And you just got to you just got to listen. People need to work on being better listeners, dude. I'm telling you right now. Like that. Like if you can listen in life, you will learn so much [] But people like to interrupt. People will ask me questions, dude. And I start to explain like I start to explain this and that and the other thing and then like oh yeah because of the oh like they're literally like finishing my sentence, bro. But it's like 5 seconds ago you didn't know what the [] I was talking about. So what the [] How do you know it? You now know it. I don't understand. I don't get it, gang. You know what? It's all good. Come outside. We're going to go smoke a cigarette. That's what's going to happen now. You're going to come with me. I really got no plan, man. I mean, I got no nothing going on. How are you? Tell me a tale. Tell me the story of your life. Yes. I've been thinking about these. We probably have everybody we need to make a pinball machine in Colorado. I think we do. I'm getting sick of having to [] sit around and wait for somebody to crank out a banger. Okay, I'm going to [] tell you right goddamn no. And don't mind my eyes. cuz I got some weird like it's dry, bro. I don't know what the [] is going on. I just look like a swamp creature. I'm getting sick and tired of having to wait for these [] to give me a banger. You know what I'm saying? So, I think I'm going to learn cuz there's a good friend of mine here in Colorado and I'm, you know, I don't want to put him on blast, but I'm just super proud of him, man. He just graduated from school learning [] CAD, this computer assisted or aided design, right? And bro, he's just like, you know, I again, he's a really good friend of mine. And just to see the light in his eyes, bro, the passion from this [] I don't know, dude. It like lit a fire in me. And I'm just thinking, and the thing he's going to use it for is like some [] I never even thought, you know? I'm like, whoa, they use CAD for that. And now I'm like starting to think, what else do they [] use this thing for? you know, that's like where I'm at. So, I think that might be my next step. I don't know. I am currently in the summer of Walta. This is the summer of Walter. You remember Castanza when he got fired from the Yankees and they gave him three months pay? The Yankees are giving me three months pay for doing nothing, Jerry. Well, fortunately for me, Oklahoma was was pretty prosperous. I'll just say that it was a very good turnout. And it's enabled me to be in a position where I can chill back for a few months and not have to worry about anything financially. That's how well Oklahoma was, dude. Oklahoma was awesome, bro. And not only was it a good turnout like financially, but yo, it was just there was some [] cool ass people out there, dude. Like, I miss being in the Midwest, dude. I spent some time in Missouri and [] And [] Oh, man. It was just cool to play with some some good old boys, man. It It was cool. And some cool ass women out there, too, bro. some women I used to [] the the ones I used to [] with before I I found my girl for life. But it reminds me of like some girls like I might have been interested in before I found my girl, you know? Cuz the girl I'm with right now is just perfect, man. She's just like the perfect girl for me. I can't imagine like [] with anybody else. But so I think that's my next step, dude. I'm going to learn this cab, this computer aed design. I've been wanting to [] I do something with computers, man. For some reason, I'm really good at computers. I don't know why. I'm really good at computers. I can figure it out. I'm really good at computers. I mean, bro, I've literally set up like over 900 pinball machines on my computer in VPX. But the thing is, I open up VPX in a new file and I don't know what the [] I'm doing. Like I could put a a ramp in a right spot and it feels good. That felt good. Like I can open up a new file, right? And I could put the ramp there. And then I shoot the ramp and I'm like, "Yo, I put that ramp there. That [] feel that felt good, but I don't know how to bend it and do all kinds of weird [] Like I was playing champion pub on my VPX and I'm like how the fuck?" And the boxer works perfectly and turns perfectly. Like that's the thing. Try to find a champion pub these days with that [] boxer working the right way, bro. The jump rope working, the speed bag fists working the right way. Good [] luck, dude. That game's from 98. Good luck, man. You won't. But in VPX, dude, it works perfectly. And all I can think is how the [] did somebody make that mech virtually in this program? I have no idea. It just confuses me. Like it almost like overwhelms me, bro. And I just get like I don't know. I just want to give up. You know what I mean? Like I don't know. I'm like I like I put the ramp in there. I should just open it up maybe like after the cigarette. I'll go in there and I'll show you what I'm talking about. Yeah. I got nothing to do, right? I was thinking about doing a [] live stream tomorrow. Maybe I'll do a live stream cuz I'd like to talk to all you guys. cuz you know I see you leave my me comments and [] I just, you know, I just I'm not like good at reading comments, bro. Like, I'm not trying to be a dick to anybody. And I appreciate every one of you [] dude. We got what? We're 600 subscribers, dude. I love all of you [] All of you [] around the world. I love all of you cuz you're 600 legit [] that are hanging with my crazy ass no matter what. And I love all of you, dude. I love you all around the world, bro. I do. People come up to me all the time. I love it when I travel. I love it. You come up to me anytime. Like there's just times where I'm in beast mode, dude. Like I got my earbuds in and I'm like [] man on fire. But like, you know, like that's just that's just the way I am, dude. I just get competitive. But like, you know, like I always try to make time to talk to everybody, dude. I really do, man. I love everybody I've [] met doing this. Like I didn't realize there were so many people that were into pinball around the [] world. It's just [] awesome. Like I grew up doing this by myself. So I just real figured like I'm just kind of a loner doing this and then I met my girl and then we the fact that we're so into it, it just brought us closer together. That's the best advice I can give to you guys is if if you're with somebody, try and like split flipper a game. Play a two-player games with with them. Dude, you get closer together. Especially split flipper. That one's big. You really get closer with a girl split flippering with them. Like, I will not split flipper with any girl that's not my girl, bro. [] that. Never. If some girl comes up to me and tries to split flip her, I will like, "No, nope." Because for me, dude, I don't know, bro. I just get closer to my girl doing that [] you know? That's why I've seen some tournaments where they do split flipper tournament and it's like, "Okay, we're going to parry up with a random partner." They're like, "Fuck you, dude. I want a split flipper with some random [] Are you serious? What are you talking about? What are you doing in your [] life? You're going to make me do a split flipper with some [] random [] No, bro. Come on now. When you do bowling tournament, are you signing up with random people or are you going with your bowling team? Exactly. Case closed, [] Oh [] I'm fired up, bro. And you know what? Check this out. You want to see a Oh [] there's like three [] bees on it. I got a giant beehive up here I got to eliminate today. I was going to show it to you, but I'm kind of scared. All right, here we go. I'm going to go in. You see it? It's right up in there. Oh, yeah. You see it? I don't know if I got it. They're [] working, dude. I don't want to [] with them right now. You got to come in in the middle of the night like a [] sneaky [] That's what I do. Cheers, gang. I appreciate you joining in, tuning in. Yeah, dude. Maybe I'll think I'll do a [] live stream tomorrow or something. It just like it'd be cool to catch up with you guys. Like I just I in real time, you guys can ask me whatever you want. We could talk. You You could come in and be like, "Why are you such a piece of [] What is the meaning of you?" Now I could finally verbalize how much I hate you. Whatever it is, you man, you know, I don't care. I really don't give a [] Oh [] I think that's where I'm at, dude. I want to I want to make I want to design a game. I'm sick of like sitting around and waiting for a banger and just getting disappointed time and time again, dude. And I want to start slow. I want to I want to start with like an em. I want to make an em. I want to make like a [] dick em like a [] old Chicago or like a like a [] doodle bug. Let's make another doodle bug, dude. [] with people. Or a [] uh what's another one? Another one of them old games that's really fun. It's hard, but it's really fun. Like I want to start with like a em. And just sit down and just think of some rules, think of some shots. I think that's where I'm at, man. Cuz I'm just getting sick. And then I just start talking to people around the state and I'm like, bro, we all people are passionate out here. And if dude, if Colorado, if we all like traveled, I'm telling you, bro, the top 50 would change. You'd see a lot of Colorado faces in top 50, bro. If these [] would travel, that's what they were saying to me. That's what Adam Leoff was telling me, bro. He's like, "Yo, you if you [] travel." And then he just kept bugging me about it, dude. I But I got to thank the [] I'll always hold a special place in my heart for that dude cuz he was like, "Yo, if you you got to go to this indisk. Go to this indisk. It never drains in Southern California. Come to this indisk." And and it was like 2022. And I finally [] went and then my whole dude, my whole life changed. It's [] weird how a pinball game can change your whole life. Like just hitting a bunch of loops on this Doctor Who just randomly, bro. Cuz I love that [] game. And then it was just it was there. It was the first day it was there cuz they brought it over from a different bank. And it's just like I don't know that game just changed my life. That one game on stream changed my life. And people still come up to me this day like these and and talk about that game. It's wild, bro. I guess it's like that. You never know like when something's going to change your life. I just thought it was cool cuz I had like family members watching and these are the same [] who told me I should quit pinball. Why are you still playing pinball? What you're still doing that? You should get a job. Why are you still playing pinball? you know, and these [] were watching me on stream at the World Championship in disc, whatever the [] it was. I was ignorant then. I didn't realize how big of a deal it was. I just wanted to hit some [] Doctor Who loops, but Cassie was telling everybody and like the word was getting out to my family back east and [] and they were tuning in and these are the same [] who were telling me to quit, bro. And I knew they were [] wrong. I always knew they were wrong. Just like that [] uh that dude Rick Stetta. I watched the special when lit, bro. And he said the same [] It's the same [] that [] said. I knew I was I was not alone when I watched that video. I saw that dude. He's like, "Everybody told me I should quit." And I knew they were wrong. I knew they were wrong. He said the same thing in the video, bro. And I'm like, "Fuck yeah. I finally found a brother in life. This guy Rick Stetta. I never met him. But like when he said that, I was like, yo, I felt the same way my whole life. I always knew these [] were wrong. Everybody telling me I should quit. And they were telling me I should quit long before uh [] Indisk and [] Long before like anybody ever found out who I was. Like they're telling me I should quit. I was like, "Fuck you, dude. I knew they were wrong. That's what I'm saying, guys. Like, you're going to come, people are going to come in your life, bro, and just tell you like, like, you should you should do this and that and the other thing. And I should I'm here to tell you, you say, "Fuck them, dude." And tell him Walter said so. No, tell them [] that cuz you know what's up. Follow your [] heart, dude. It's all about the pursuit of happiness. That's what our founding fathers wanted. The pursuit of happiness. It doesn't matter if you're black or white or purple or Chinese or Japanese. We're American and we want the pursuit of happiness. Amen. God bless America. Okay. I am fired up, guys, cuz it's the summer of Walter. Yes, it's the summer of Walta. I'm thinking about my next step. We're thinking about the next step. Thinking about how to better serve the world. I don't want to get some [] dumb job where it's like, you know what I'm saying? I'm just like dead end dumb job. I want to get some job where I'm like contributing to the world, you know? I'm helping the world. But let's be real, dude. I'm too hard around the edges, bro. PE like companies like Stern, they're never going to hire me. And I don't even think I want to work for them because of like their politics and [] It seems like they're just too like woke, you know? I get that vibe from them. It all started with the [] guns on John Wick. And you're going to be like, "Hey, get over it, [] Just get over it." I'm going back inside. Just get over it, Walt. Get over the guns. Get over the [] guns. Where's my glasses? I lost my glasses. I do this all the time, bro. I just like take them off and set them up some [] Whatever. I'll find them. Hey, you know what? It all started with the guns, bro. and you're going to be like, "Yo, get over it." But I'm telling you, it all started with the [] guns when they took the guns off the game of John Wick. Okay? And look, I'm 39. I'll be 40 on Halloween. All right? But look, here they are. I found them. I grew up playing games like Lethal Weapon 3. Okay. Lethal Weapon 3, [] Terminator 2. I grew up playing what else, man? You know, [] Dude, these games had guns on the handles, you know? Lethal Weapon 3 had the crime simulator in it. You got to you got to choose like who to shoot. I was like 8 years old, dude. Like playing that [] thing. And I was fine. Did I grow up like wanting to shoot people? No, I didn't, dude. Did I grow up like with a hatred for humanity and like want to put bullets and everything I say? No, I didn't. I grew up fine, dude. Like, I don't [] get it. Like they're trying to protect kids from guns and [] Like I don't [] get the whole thing. I found in life the more you protect people from things like verbiage and guns and all that [] the more they they're they're going to grow up with this inclination to want to do that. So if you like hide guns from them and [] and hide all this [] they're going to want to grow up and fire a gun, dude. You know, that's what I think. I don't know. But I just think I'm too rough around the edges, bro. They like Stern wants like, "Yes, man." Because people ask me this all the time. Why don't you Why don't you go work for Stern? I'm surprised like Stern doesn't hit you up and, you know, want you to design games and why doesn't Stern, you know, Stern or why don't you talk to Spooky and work for Spooky and, you know, cuz they love you and all this [] People tell me this all the time, dude. And I'm just like, yo, it's me. They don't like they want somebody who's more of a yes man, dude. This is what it is, bro. And I'm just being real with you cuz that's the way I that's the only way I know how to roll is being real. I don't know how to be a phony. That's why I can't be a successful like content creator doing pinball like all these other pinball content creators you see. Plus, they know how to edit and do all this other crap. And I'm just not like I just like to be real and talk pinball, man. That's just, you know, that's just the way I roll, you know? And I think I'm getting to a point in my life where pinball has given me so much, dude. I want to give back, man. So maybe like I can do it in in rules and game design. And I mean, dude, I can literally like and the music. I can think of the music. Oh my god. And then WE GET IT. OH, WE'RE NOT EVEN getting to the music yet. I have so many ideas that I haven't implemented. Like I haven't had an opportunity. Like I have so many tracks that I've recorded and little like ideas in Logic Pro that I've recorded that aren't songs. Like you just come up with [] when you write music, man. You come up with [] like every day. Like you literally like sometimes I wake up and I'm like I have in my [] head. So I grab an instrument, piano or guitar, and I try to replicate whatever the [] I am hearing in my head, you know? But sometimes you hear like a like a a sound effect or like a like a like a voc a vocal pattern or something or a call out or or some you'll hear something that like it doesn't belong in a song, but maybe it would for a video game or pinball or something like that. Like I'm starting to get to that point. I think that's where I'm at. That's my next step. Let me jump on Nap. Let's jump on Nap and see if there's any news. Let's see what we got. Let's see. Uh, let's start with this. Is Grateful Dead pinball in the works? Grateful Dead. And then they have a Transformers stream. Yeah, I watched the stream. Apparently the the little mech is supposed to move, dude. And it even looks like there's a ball path behind there. And they didn't get it to work. But the cannon fires right to that flap just like I [] predicted. I knew it. But I'm kind of bummed out that they didn't get the the guy at the top to work. The somebody called it Boximus Prime. I can't forget that. Somebody commented a boximus Prime, dude. I can't [] forget it. Um, other than that, man, I mean, I'm still I still want to shoot it. It still looks like a fun shooter, but the code just looks a little boring again. Like, man. Yeah, that's that's the one takeaway I had from the game. The code just looks a little boring. in in Transformers so far. Like there's no moments, you know? That's the one thing Lyman was so good at, man. He was good at creating like a moment like moments, you know? Like the moment in Medieval Madness when you destroy the castle, Attack from Mars when you destroy the saucer, like creating even when you start the multiball, it has that moment, you know, where you charge the castle or where you're flying, you know, like you see the saucer and it's LIKE MULTIBALL, you know, like that's a moment, you know, like we I'm missing I'm missing the moments, you know, even in Star Wars when they kill your flippers and like you hit the super jackpot, it kills your flippers and then the game turns all red and [] and it's it's kind of cool, but I don't know, it just doesn't it doesn't grab me, you know? It doesn't create the moment I'm craving. So, but in terms of like a shooter, it looks like a fun shooter. So, I'm excited about that. And then they're saying a rumor about Grateful Dead. Uh, I mean, that could work. I could see that for like nostalgic factor. The problem is with Grateful Dead, dude, the [] music, dude. I never got into the music of Grateful Dead, you know? I don't know. So, I'm not sure about all that. Spooky pinball update. Witchton Stern pinball game is the hardest spooky pinball update. What's their spooky update? Oh, the Goonies. Their next game is The Goonies. It says um the Bug was in an interview and the interviewer is asking about the next theme, dropping Goonies quotes like the answer should be never say die. And Bug joked, why are you asking stuff everybody already knows? before backtracking and asking the host to edit it out. So, I guess Bug like Bug was in I know Bug, man. He's cool as [] So, I guess he was in an interview and they were hitting him with like cuz they want to know what the next theme is. That's like what everybody wants to know, right? What's next theme? Cuz they want to be the first to break it so they get the views and the subscriptions and the money and blah. That's what it's all comes down to money, guys. They don't really A lot of these [] I I got news for you. A lot of these [] they're not really passionate about pinball like you and me. They're just trying to get views and subscriptions and whatever, you know, and that leads to money and you know what I mean? Like, and it leads to other things, too. I don't know because I'm not in that but I'm not in that world. But like, you know, that that's really what it is, dude. A lot of these guys like they don't even know how to really play pinball, man. You know what I'm saying? Like, so it's like, you know, like I that's that's what I've had to learn and it's a cold hard truth. Like I've met a few of these content creators in real life and then you realize like, wow, dude, they're just phony as [] dude. Not a lot of not all of them. Not all of them, but a lot of them. Yeah, man. That's unfortunate cuz I was a fan before I ever like, you know, started traveling and doing tournaments and [] But I think Grateful Dead could work because of its nostalgic factor. It seems like that's no nostalgia is selling these days. You know, nostalgia. I mean, look at Back to the Future. You know, we're still pining for Dutch Pinball to make a Back to the Future, right? But Bug, you know, he he So, he backtracks and ask him to edit out. I mean, what are you going to do? He just, you know, you got to play those situations like you're at the at the Texas like you're playing Texas Holdem, dude. You're playing Holdem and you're at the table and someone's asking you, "Do you have do you have pocket queens? You got pocket queens, don't you? Hey bug, you got pocket queens. I know you got pocket queens." And you just got to be like, you call or fold. What are you doing? Okay, I race. You just got to play it like that. You got to play it poker face, man. Kind of thing, you know? But that's but that's all these [] want to know is what's the next game? What's this? What's that? Who cares? Spoiler alert. It's like we're living in a world of [] spoiler alerts, dude. I I I like I like when I was a kid, I remember walking into the arcade and there was a [] new game there and cuz there was a giant [] line. And when I walked in the arcade and I think it was 1997 when I was like 10 years old or 11 or something like that, it was Giant Lion in front of a game called Medieval Madness. And I never heard of that game. I didn't get a press release on that game. I just walked into the arcade, the same arcade I walked into a hundred times. And that particular day there was a giant line and it was got to play it. I still never played it because every time I went into the arcade for the next two years, there was always people playing it until I until 1999 when I moved to Arizona. Yeah. But it was a it was great. It was like, "Oh, wow. Look at this new game." You know, instead of like now now we kind of see it coming. Like look at Sonic, dude. I pretty much know all about Sonic and Jersey Jack still hasn't [] released it yet. Where's the rumors about that? That's the next thing I want to know. Here it is. Spooky update. Oh, have they I don't even think they they've released it yet. Oh, is this this is the same article, I guess. Uh oh, it just says Richie in the you know the name. The king returns this June with something built for speed. stay in the loop via the link in bio and it has him working on a Elton John. Why is he standing on the [] rollers, dude? What are you doing? Steve Ritchie, what the [] are you doing, bro? He's standing on the rollers. That's so dangerous, dude. Come on, man. We love you, bro. Be more careful, bro. He can slip so easy off the [] rollers. He's standing on the rollers of the [] uh Oh my god, dude. It's scaring me, bro. What are you doing? Okay. Uh, what else we got? Jersey Jack rumor. Yeah, the rumor is Sonic is next. Yeah, we know that, dude. Come on, man. When are they going to talk about it? And then there's a rumor that Michael Jackson Oh, yeah, bro. You're not going to get Michael Jackson. I'm sure they're going to want so much money for Michael Jackson. Oh my god, dude. All those big name artist like Michael Jackson, Prince, dude, they want their estate wants money, dude. They're not going to [] Yeah, dude. They're not gonna I don't know if it happens. That'd be great. But if that's going to be a mill multi-million dollar [] license. I'm telling you right now, that's probably going to be like a $10 million license, maybe 20. I don't [] know. Who the [] knows? Uh, American Pinball news. The Lego Pinball rumor. Uh, okay. Earlier this morning, American Pinball shared a cool picture of its 100th anniversary Houdini. Okay. Where's that? Is it right there? Uh oh, there's new code for Galactic Tank Force. Bro, you're still trying to make that game happen? Just give up, dude. Galactic Tank Force was I mean, how many people got fired over that game? Nordman lost his job, you know? Norman lost his job over Galactic Tank Force. I hope you know that. Like, dude, that's the reason why he lost his job. American is going to release a new center tank sculpt to replace the one in the original game. Uh oh my god. AP is also working on a brand new topper which will feature art from Christopher Franchie. Yo, bro. It says Franchie is gonna the topper will have a few unique configurations. Yeah, Franchie. Dude, I thought Franchie was only doing [] for Spooky. He can do [] for other people or other companies. That's cool, man. Franchie is a real one, bro. I love you. If you're watching the video, I love you. And I'll be there to see you, man. We'll we'll try and spend some more time together in the expo in Chicago. When is that? In October, right? I'm going to the lineman tournament. I think that's in September and then I'll be back in Chicago in October. So, but I really want to try and spend some more time with you, bro. You're a real one, you know, man. So, he's a [] good dude. Um, that's cool. What else we got? American Pinball plans to bring the new and improved GTF to the Southern Fry Gaming. Between all this and America has announced upcoming remaster. Oh, is this what's this dude have to say? This dude has something to say about it. Let's see what he's got to say. Up guys, it's Rob with American Pinball at Midwest Gaming Classic. Thanks to Kingpin for hosting us. We've got Glad Tank Force, Hot Wheels, Valhalla. Of course, we got our new Houdini with the new art package from Chris Branchie. We did a limited edition of 100 of these celebrating the life of Houdini. 2026 is the 100th year of his passing and really excited to get our last 100 Hudinis out. We also have Galactic Tank Force. We've been talking about a code update on that cuz I've got some details for you guys on list. This is going to be out sometime in the near future. Who's this guy? Is this like the own the new head guy? Cuz he seems like he's got way more charisma than the other [] guy. I met the other guy. The other dude who was in charge of American pinball. What was his name? I don't remember his [] name. Oh, Dave Fix. Yeah, I met him at the Texas Pinball Festival before I got kicked out. And he was he was I was like, "Hey, man. It's cool that you guys honored Barry in that last game." And he's like, "Yeah, it was all designed by him. It's all original." He tried to tell me like that was all his designs. [] you, bro. You're a liar. It's No, it was collaborated designs. Bro, you're a liar. He busts in the room and he's like, "Where's Bowen? Where's Steve?" I'm like, "Dude, leave him the [] alone. He's a competitive tournament player, bro. He's trying to qualify. Do you [] mind?" Like, bro, if that was if I was working for American Pinball and and they did that [] to me, well, I I'm a tournament player first, [] Okay, I'll work for your pinball company second. You take a backseat to my tournament play, [] because I'm a tournament player first. You understand that tough [] That's like part of my contract when I sign up. I just felt like, dude, I was like pissed off for Baldin, dude. I was like, what the [] He's trying to qualify. This [] runs in the room. Like, where is he? Where are Leave him alone, bro? He's trying to [] qualify for the big show. Do you mind? Jesus [] But I just remember him telling me that to my face, dude. He told me that to my face and I was like this. He told me a couple other things that turned out to be lies too, bro. But I can't remember all of it. I just remember that one particular thing. I was like, "What the fuck?" But that [] had like he kind of seemed like a dick with no charisma. This guy seems like he's got the charisma, bro. You got if you're the leader, you got to have charisma. There's no other way around it. Highlights are we've got two new extra balls. There's only one extra ball in the game. So excited of that. That's going to be around battling tanks and finishing missions. That's going to be user adjustable. Got a new tank dulu mini wizard mode. So when you get through all the tanks, you're going to be able to play in a new mini wizard mode. Lots of tweaks, a lot of lighting tweaks, some bug fixes, and also new status menus. You're going to be able to check things like your rank. It's a really important source. God, they're trying so hard with this [] game, dude. It just has such a bad design, man. I mean, this this should tell you this is like exhibit A that dude, pinball, it's all about the design, man. Code can only save it. Co code can only take it so far or like resurrect, you know, resurrect you so far, man. Like, it this game is just so [] because of the design. It just has such a bad design. Like, it's not fun to shoot. It's not. Trust me, I've played this game like a hundred [] times cuz when they had it at the on location, I was the only one playing it in the bar and I was cuz I wanted to give it a chance. I I look at pinball machines like people, man. If everybody talks [] about this person cuz this happens in every community. This guy's a [] dick or whatever the [] or this person's weird, whatever it is. I try and still talk to them and give them a shot. Well, I do the same thing with pinball machines. Damn it. I do. Everybody talks [] about Galactic Tank Force. It sucks. It's not fun. It's boring. Whatever the [] it is, it suck. I hit the tank, it comes right back in my face. Whatever it is, I still try to give it a chance, you know, because I'm not I give everybody a chance. I try to find the good in people just like I try to find the good in pinball machines. That's how I run. That's how I run my I I run in my life. You know, I've tried with this [] game, bro. I I got nothing, dude. I got no desire to want to play it again. I got nothing. All right, let's let him keep going. Maybe there's something else. If you buy the game, it comes with 50 grand underneath it. Oh, I'm in. If you guys are new to this game, glad to take it. What you should definitely check out, especially with the new code coming out. There's some really fun stuff in it. He's got some really cool kind of old school gaming stuff going on with it with the voice acting and the voiceovers. You got this retro music vibe with it that's really fun. Uh Cool Ball Locks. You got He's acting like we've never heard of the [] game before. Yeah, we know about the shitty douchebag voice actors. They were terrible. They They just weren't committed. They I didn't believe them, you know? It was cool to see Bowen in it, though. That was That part was cool. And yo, why don't you hire him back? What the [] is wrong with you? You're not going to hire Steve Bowen back? [] you. He's the most passionate guy you could get. You need somebody over there who's really good at pinball, dude. I'm telling you right now. Why do you think Stern is good? Cuz they got [] Elwin. They got Ray over there. They got Joshua Henderson. I've never met him personally. I never played with him. That [] is good. They got him. They got they got a bunch of other people I'm I'm not I'm you know escaping my mind right now. But dude, you got like serious players over there, bro. Like people who can play. People who can really ball. Jack Danger, another one, bro. That motherfucker's good, too. He can drop catch like a like a G, man. [] You need that at your company, bro. Like you should almost every pinball company needs to hire one top 50 pinball player. So we can like play test your game and then tell you what you need to change before it goes out. This is why Spooky's [] up. This is why like uh Jersey Jack doesn't have bangers. Like they don't have the people over there. I mean at least Jersey Jack has Steve Ritchie now so you can [] with Steve Ritchie and ask him questions but you need somebody who's like a veteran. You know what I'm saying? like like they don't have like and like you know Spooky's trying, bro. They got See, Spooky's got the passion. So Spooky makes up for that [] The fact that they don't have like the really really good pinball players over there. Like they make up for it with the passion. Like they got the passion to give you a good game. They got the passion to bring like new things to it. I respect that a lot cuz Stern's just doing the same old rinse and repeat just trying to fill. Stern's goal is to fill the production line because they have many, many people working there and they need jobs. They need hours. They need to keep their jobs and they need hours to keep. So therefore, they keep their job. So they need something on the line, you know? So they're not going to take a year to dial in a game. Like they won't take an extra six [] months to get that goddamn mech to work properly and make it look cool for the world, you know? Like that would have been cool, bro. If you if you took that game and and made it like you obviously were working on the code for a long time. The game's very deep in code, but they still weren't able to get that thing working. Like that's that sucks, man. Like come on, bro. That tells me you guys need some help. You guys need help. You guys need somebody over there with more passion who will not go to sleep until that [] mech works. Because I'm going to tell you right now, that's the way I am. If I'm designing a mech, I'm not going to bed until the code makes it do whatever the [] the the thing's working exactly the way I envision it in my mind. I'm not going to sleep until that happens because I care about it that [] much. And that's real talk. You know what I'm saying? That's the way I roll. And you need somebody like that over at your company, bro. Because right now, I'm not seeing it. I'm not seeing anybody at Stern who's like that, bro. Who's like got the [] passion like beating inside of them where you look at them and like, "Oh [] this [] is really excited." Jack Danger was like that when he was bringing out new games in the video. I'm really excited for you to see. And then you could see he was cook he was cooking up some new [] Look at Foo Fighters. Look at X-Men. Every one of those games, every one of those designs had new [] that we hadn't seen in a while. Look at the [] flipper in the danger room. Get the [] out of here. We haven't seen that since what? Top what is it? Uh, Gold Wings or Top Gun? The Top Gun game, right? That Gotautle made. That's the other one. The Trudeau game that has that over there. Like that's what these [] are doing. They're going back like to old got leaves and [] to get ideas from that and bring them in. That's why I respect Elwin so much. That's what he's doing, bro. Look at [] King Kong. There's so much influence from Congo in that game. Look at your dead eyee mode. The dead eyee mode is exactly the skillfire mode from Congo where you're plunging for the outlane. It's a [] fun ass mode. And Elwin brought it up to the next generation. He even made it a little better because now you can shoot for the shot behind the flipper, your rapids, to get a bonus. You can't do that in the other one in Congo. So, it's like skillfire 2.0. I love that [] We need more people doing that [] That's why I'm going to touch back on what I said in the beginning. I think all those coders should all work together on every game. Like bring in Elwin's team to help these other [] out because these other [] need help, bro. You need help. You're making boring ass code in your games and you need help. It's a fact, bro. You [] need help. You were in the lab for that long and that's what we got on [] Transformers. You need help. Let Elwin's team help you, [] That's all I got to say about that. Let's see what else we got in this video. 22 seconds left. This big tank in the middle. So, you got to destroy. And this guy is trying so hard to sell us on GTF. Cool sound effects, too. Like, I got to respect his like his drive to sell this, man. Really excited about getting new stuff out on this. So, if it's in your local arcade, check it out. And of course, you're at any of our distributors at India's show, check it out as well. And keep an eye on that code update. I wish I shared his excitement. I'm about as excited for that as I am for [] going to jury duty. If you walked up and said, "Hey, Walt, you got to go to jury duty tomorrow." I'd probably be just as excited about this [] code update. I've given up, bro. It's design. You can't save the design. The only way. There's no way because you'd have to redesign the game. That's the only [] way. You got to get that [] thing out of the middle. You [] up by putting that [] thing in the in the middle. Nordman and the other guy. Whoever. It was a tag team. It was Norman and some other guy. I can't remember his [] name, but Norman took the hit cuz everybody knows Nordman's name. They don't know the other [] guy. So, they're going to come at you, bro. They're going to come at the guy whose name they know. And it might not even been Nordman's idea to put that [] thing in the middle. You know what I'm saying? But they came for you, bro. That's why he played it safe. And the next thing we got was Yukon Yeti where he's like, I'm just going to go with Whitewater and flip it over. That'll win him over. That'll win him back on my side. But you [] up because you didn't get Chris Granner in the beginning. We had to come at you. You had to watch our [] videos. Turner Pinball had to watch all of us. Like people like me, how I made a [] hourlong video talking about how you need to get Chris Granner back. get his nuts back in the building. Do yourself a favor. They didn't think about that themselves. They had to listen to us, the people, the community, us [] who live and breathe pinball. They listened to us and we told them, "Get Granner back." And they did. They got him back. They rehired him. It's It's an article somewhere in there. They [] hired him back. Chris Granner's back with Turner Pinball. Well, he's not back with Turner Pinball. He never worked with them. like he's gonna co collab with them now to make the [] call outs better. And Yukon Yeti, I mean those call outs suck, dude. Get that chick out of there, bro. THAT OH, WE GOT A MULTIBALL. OH, BALL TWO LOCK. THAT [] [] Get her the [] out of there, dude. She is annoying as [] Get her the [] out of there. Oh my god. Could you imagine being married to a [] like that? YOU WAKE UP. AH, HONEY. YOU WANT SOME bacon and eggs? YOU WANT SOME COFFEE? YEEHAW! GET THE [] out of here, bro. You're living in the shed. Go in the shed. [] Get the [] out of here with that [] Yeea [] But that just tells you right there. Turner Pinball didn't even think of that. They didn't even think how important the audio was to Whitewater. See, we did. I did. I [] tell you right now, that's the most important part of Whitewater. That's the best part of Whitewater is Granner's music. Don't get me started. I will sing every [] raft right now. We I have I literally have on this channel. Do not get me started. But Turner didn't think about that. Now they're thinking about that because they listen to us. So I respect them for listening to the community. But that just tells you they're not really got their finger on the pulse of these games that much, dude. cuz they would have went they would have got Chris Granner in the in the beginning like dude we're making a white water 2 we first thing we need is Chris Granner the first thing we need that's a first thing you get is Chris Granner bro before anything I would say that he's more important than the design because you already know how the design is going to be but we're going to get some new music from Graner dude based on white oh my god dude I can't wait to see what we that I don't know what's going on like if he's working on it now or uh I mean Granner is a [] he's a he's a musician bro he's a like a genius music go back and listen to some of his [] dude somebody need needs to make like a like a like a collage or a collaboration of all the music that that [] has has collaborate could contributed to pinball your dick will be blown off I'm telling you this [] and he's in touch. He knows classical music, too. That's why in Terminator 2, when you have to lock your ball again, it goes to that uh who is that? I can't remember if it's Vagner or [] the [] Am I Evil riff? See, I thought that was Metallica when I was a kid because it's from Am I Evila and then I real I learned I listened to classical music later in life. It's like I can't remember who that composer is though. If it's Vagner or I don't think it's Shopan. Shopan's just piano. I I don't remember who it is and somebody's going to kick my dick in the comments about that. But but anyway, they brought Granner back. We're excited about it. I'm excited. You're excited. They listened to us, but they didn't think about it on their own. They had to listen to us first and then they brought him back. Get that [] The final thing I'll end on is get that get this [] the [] OUT OF HERE. YEEHAW. GET HER THE [***] out of there. Get out. So, let me know, guys. I'm gonna think I'm going to do a live stream. I'll do it tomorrow. How about that? We'll do a live stream tomorrow. We'll go live. I'll say what we I I'll I'll pop in for a little bit. We'll say what's up. I'll answer any questions you guys have. And uh yeah, it'll be fun. We'll do it tomorrow sometime or maybe I don't know, maybe later tonight. I don't know. Drop me in the comments. See what what you think. All right. Peace. Much love everybody. base.
