## Analysis

Zach Meny and Greg Bone from Straight Down the Middle provide comprehensive first impressions of the newly announced Stern Pinball Deadpool machine across Pro, Premium, and Limited Edition models. They praise Jeremy Packer's artwork as phenomenal while debating color saturation and visual design choices, analyze George Gomez's unique playfield layout that departs from his typical designs, and discuss innovative features including a sword toy, disco ball with sparkle effects, and an 80s arcade-style LCD animation with fourth-wall-breaking Deadpool appearances.

### Key Claims

- [HIGH] Stern Pinball released Deadpool announcement with 80+ high-resolution pictures, spec sheet, and gameplay video simultaneously, covering all bases — _Zach states they 'just dumped all three models on us. Yes. Eighty plus pictures. Yes, a spec sheet, and said, "You know what? Hi-def or high-res photos. They covered all their bases that we don't want to hear anything from you guys about this."'_
- [HIGH] Deadpool Pro Edition MSRP is $5,999 with street price around $5,600; Premium Edition MSRP $76.99 with street price ~$7,300; Limited Edition MSRP $89.99 with street price ~$8,500 — _Zach provides specific pricing: 'Stern Pinball is gonna run you $5,999 MSRP... Mid-7s... $73 on the street. Limited Edition: $89.99, or $90,000 for the Limited Edition... around $85.'_
- [HIGH] Premium and Limited Editions feature drop targets instead of stand-up targets, custom molded figures instead of 2D plastics, and original soundtrack set (LP for LE) — _Greg and Zach detail: 'you get drop targets instead of stand-up targets... You get custom molded figures instead of the 2D plastics... You get an original soundtrack set... And the Limited Edition, you get the LP.'_
- [HIGH] Limited Edition price difference from Premium is approximately $15,000, justified by metallic powder coat, magic/clear glass options, shaker motor, mirrored backglass, unique side art, plaque of authenticity, LP, and light speakers — _Zach states: 'the dents between the Premium Edition and Limited Edition is about 1,500 bucks' [likely transcription error for $15,000]. Greg lists features: 'metallic powder coat... magic glass or the clear glass... shaker motor... mirrored backglass... unique side art... The plaque of authenticity. The LP.'_
- [HIGH] Jeremy Packer designed Deadpool artwork after working on Ghostbusters and Iron Maiden, with hosts praising the art as among the most beautiful pinball machine artwork ever made — _Greg states: 'Jeremy Packer, aka Jeremy Packer, does it again. He knocks it out of the park. You started with Ghostbusters and went to Iron Maiden, and if it couldn't get any better, here's Deadpool Pinball.'_
- [MEDIUM] Deadpool layout is substantially different from typical George Gomez designs and may incorporate elements from a previously abandoned design, though Gomez has finalized the playfield — _Zach speculates: 'I doubt very much so that this entire design was scrapped completely from John Trudeau... If you stand back, this feels more like Congo than it does... Batman 66.' Greg counters that Gomez may have had designs 'sitting on that just happened to go to this theme.'_
- [HIGH] Deadpool LCD display will feature 1980s arcade and NES-style graphics with character health meters, similar to X-Men vs. Capcom visual design, with fourth-wall-breaking high-resolution Deadpool animations — _Zach describes: 'They're trying to do your 1980s arcade fighting games... 1980s NES game or an 80s arcade... You're gonna be hitting the character, and you're gonna try to deplete his meter... Deadpool will come up. It's well done.'_
- [HIGH] Premium and Limited Edition models include a lift ramp in the shooter lane that redirects the left orbit ball to the right flipper, whereas Pro Edition does not include this feature — _Greg explains: 'on the Premium Edition Limited Edition version. You do get that lift ramp in the shooter lane so that when you hit the left orbit, yeah, you can go to the right flipper. Whereas on the Pro Edition, which I don't like, you hit that left orbit. You're stopping you in there.'_

### Sentiment

**Positive** (0.78) — Hosts are enthusiastic about Deadpool overall, praising artwork, innovation, and layout novelty. Greg expresses concerns about color oversaturation and visual clarity on Limited Edition, but frames this as personal preference rather than fundamental flaw. Both hosts express high interest in playing the game despite aesthetic disagreements. Tone is supportive of the release with constructive criticism.

### Signals

- **[sentiment_shift]** Community and hosts express high enthusiasm for Deadpool's innovative playfield layout and toy design despite design aesthetic concerns, with primary appeal driven by novelty and mechanical difference from typical Stern offerings (confidence: high) — Zach states: 'The reason I want to buy this game is because I am so curious about how this shoots because it is such a different layout... It's different. And that's what makes me want to buy it' and 'I'm so excited about this game'
- **[design_philosophy]** Deadpool Limited Edition cabinet color palette exhibits significant oversaturation with bright yellows, reds, and vibrant hues creating an 'in your face' visual effect. Greg Bone criticizes this as lacking the subtle balance of earlier Jeremy Packer works like Iron Maiden, though acknowledges comic book art often features high saturation (confidence: high) — Greg criticizes: 'the oversaturation of the reds in it... there's just so much of it... it's so bright' and 'it blast you in the face' compared to Iron Maiden which was 'very vibrant, bright colors, okay, but not sandy... not so much in your view saying'
- **[design_philosophy]** George Gomez's Deadpool layout deviates significantly from his typical design patterns, featuring elements reminiscent of Congo rather than his standard approach. Hosts debate whether this represents an original Gomez design or repurposing of earlier abandoned playfield designs (confidence: medium) — Greg states: 'this feels more like Congo than it does... Batman 66' and questions whether 'this entire design was scrapped completely from John Trudeau' or if Gomez had 'designs... sitting on that just happened to go to this theme'
- **[market_signal]** Stern's Deadpool announcement strategy employed multi-day teaser approach with leaked playfield photos, followed by official high-resolution photo dumps and gameplay reveals, creating sustained community engagement over announcement period (confidence: high) — Hosts praise: 'I like how they paced it... the leaked photos of the playfield... And then you see, out of focus, some of the features. And you're like, "No, I want more." Yeah. The next day, you get a little teaser... And then the next day, you're like, "Here it is."'
- **[personnel_signal]** George Gomez finalized the Deadpool playfield design regardless of potential design origin questions, establishing him as the definitive designer responsible for final execution and quality (confidence: high) — Greg concludes: 'No matter what anybody else done is no longer—there's this is the shape of George Gomez... If something doesn't play right on this thing, it's a George Gomez thing'
- **[market_signal]** Deadpool pricing continues Stern's three-tier strategy with Pro at $5,999 MSRP (~$5,600 street), Premium at $76.99 MSRP (~$7,300 street), and Limited Edition at $89.99 MSRP (~$8,500 street), with ~$1,500 difference between Premium and Limited Edition (confidence: high) — Zach provides: 'Stern Pinball Pro Edition Premium Edition Limited Edition... $5,999 MSRP... Mid-7s... $73 on the street... Limited Edition: $89.99... around $85' and later clarifies the '$1,500' difference between editions
- **[announcement]** Stern Pinball officially announced Deadpool machine with comprehensive release package including 80+ high-resolution photos, detailed spec sheet, and gameplay video simultaneously across all three cabinet variants (confidence: high) — Zach states: 'They just dumped all three models on us. Yes. Eighty plus pictures. Yes, a spec sheet... They covered all their bases'
- **[product_strategy]** Deadpool features strategic three-tier feature distribution: Pro lacks drop targets (stand-ups instead), lacks lift ramp in shooter lane, lacks custom molded figures, and lacks original soundtrack. Premium adds these features. Limited Edition adds cosmetic upgrades (metallic powder coat, mirrored backglass, unique side art, LP album, special plaque) (confidence: high) — Detailed spec comparison provided by hosts showing Progressive feature additions: 'you get drop targets instead of stand-up targets' in Premium/LE; 'lift ramp in the shooter lane' in Premium/LE; 'custom molded figures' and 'original soundtrack set' in Premium/LE
- **[product_strategy]** Deadpool incorporates innovative mechanical features including a sword toy that captures balls in its handle, disco ball with sparkle/rotation effects potentially matching Star Trek's implementation, and a lift ramp in the shooter lane (Premium/LE only) that redirects left orbit shots to the right flipper (confidence: high) — Hosts discuss: 'sword on it that you like balls in the handle... lift ramp in the shooter lane... disco ball with disco mode... the three-bank that comes down and you hit it'
- **[technology_signal]** Deadpool LCD implementation uses 1980s arcade and NES-style graphics rendering, featuring X-Men vs. Capcom visual aesthetic with character health meters and dynamic combat mechanics. Deadpool breaks the fourth wall with high-resolution animation overlay distinct from the pixel-art game aesthetic (confidence: high) — Zach describes: '1980s arcade fighting games... Street Fighter... 1980s NES game or an 80s arcade... your character... trying to deplete his meter... Deadpool breaks the fourth wall, as he's known to do. And then high-res Deadpool will come up'

does everything Chris over at pinball playing calm does a little bit of everything but what you're gonna go to him for is chrome plating yes mmm circus Voltaire's fully chrome that's what my goal is Demoman demolition man you pinball plating calm did yours Mike Chester Chester yeah pre my late yeah chestnut this was his business yes took it over good friend to the family so yes yeah so chrome stuff brass did not breast yes all brass a total indiana jones' Jones yeah what about black nickel the black nickel I love that's a Sherlock nickel is one of my favorite especially on the gun handles mmm black nickel yes a look on your Indiana Jones or shadow shadows a shadow black in a perfect perfect that's different so the chrome brass black nickel they're different than powder coat pattern it's gonna be cheaper yes but it's not gonna have that same effect yeah in my opinion it was yeah it's not the sheen no I mean it's dimmers between a bumper on car a chrome bumper yeah it's it's legit sober linked it's a dipping process is that - oh my god I couldn't imagine what goes into this yes so what else - oh my god candy chrome have you seen this I have not seen the Handy chrome I'm sad but you have told me it's family I want to throw you up a picture of the locked down bar that he recently did for a guardians of the galaxy premium I saw that the purple it's chrome but it's a colored chrome yes boys boys so that's good so he can almost plate darn near anything you mean even your trim you can get down to the littlest things if you want that plated yeah like the glass Travie trayless habit rails even anything metal its label play table so if you want to take your pinball machine over the top you guys think you have nice pinball machines it's not quite nice enough until you get fully play and I will tell you what Olivo machine hide maybe call [ __ ] on you for that but owning that demo man and having that yeah you're a bet like the first time when I walked into not not this Christmas house but Zacks neighbors Chris mm-hm when I walked into Chris's house and I first saw that demo man I didn't want to touch it right it was it was so feels good yeah it's a smooth something feels better about it and I can't imagine just like a stainless or something on demo man it really calls for that Chrome and I think there's some other taken here yeah it's like yeah it's beautiful so you got to check out pinball plating dot-com telling the SDTM sent you we're gonna do are they're gonna do some plating for us yeah and we're gonna show the people here in the following weeks maybe a month or so yes our plate jobs that we got on probably mine because the beers beers so what shall I plate mmm what shall i play so let's get into first impressions of Deadpool a Greg boned about a week ago Aaron pinball teased us with Deadpool yes then Jorge Gomez teased us on Facebook a little more Deadpool I did really like that it was good that was probably the better teasers I've ever nicely done and to be able to do that was our whole ego me nice job so then they released so this time this waited time around a little bit different they just dumped all three models on us yes 80 plus pictures yes a spec sheet and said you know what a high def or high res yes photos they covered all their bases that we don't want to hear anything from you guys about this so I'm glad they do it that way so how do you feel about that let's talk about the announcement I think it was good I do like some little teasers they're good I like it a hell of a lot better than the iron Mazen teaser that was just Iron Maiden just the title yeah just the title I like these teasers a little better but yeah I'm glad this dropped it on us man like that's all that's a way too long yeah that's all they need to do like they didn't have to have IGN in Vault like they didn't have to have all that going on at that point like this is all we wanted but we ended up getting that too yeah they got that yeah gameplay kind of video too yeah whenever they dumped the pictures which is nice I mean it did you can decipher much from it no but people just are fine with the pics I mean that's the way I felt Ghostbusters well was there high-res Ghostbusters was so nothing was high-res yeah I mean it's nice and tight it's just what we asked we're simple you roll it out we're happy I like how they paste it they give us a teaser of an actual in-game toy the main toy yeah so we think well what's that do I'm more in Jeff isn't that is it the main focus point and then you see out of focus some of the features and you're like no I want more yeah the next day you get a little teaser by George yeah and then you say okay now he's doing the layup and then the next day you're like here it is yeah I knew your place exactly worked a little bit it's like guys so the leaked photos of the playfield that Whitewood does George's draw a batch of it did it with that leaked photo so then that gets you a look-see like I think that there is a difference between bad teasers and good teeth teasers like you you want to be teased you you want to get people talking that's that's the point it's a reason yes you want people talking you want them to try to decipher things you want to do things not too deep to where it's frustrating but you want it's the prior maze wasn't it teaser that was a title it was a title announcement yes like it stirred sometimes messes up on what's teasers what's a tight how its worded what what does it reveal yeah well what is the library now what I like about their pacing right now they're essentially covering two weeks of announcement because that first week you get teaser teaser pics and then the next week you're waiting about five days and then you're gonna get the revealed gameplay yes right and then the next week games will ship and I think that that is like I said that is the one of the biggest things Stern has going for it is that layout that format of releasing the game in that fashion yeah is superb so we got a pro premium and LE model god this is the longest first impression this is just general BS from yours truly it is I don't have to be formless is this is all of our show in formal settings I know the waiters look for a glamour shots picture here Pro Premium le Pro is gonna run you $59.99 MS RP you're gonna find that I think about 56 on the street you've got the premium and your mid 7s yeah so maybe 79 70s I think it's like 76 99 okay you're gonna find that about 73 on the street le 89 99 $90,000 for the le on the street you're gonna find that lo 8 okay okay three models yes the pro has a lot of stuff that the premium le has but it is missing a few things from the pro to that premium le and just off the top of my head you get you get a disco ball disco ball you do get a disco ball one of the important things you get is drop targets instead of stand-up targets now you know how that is for me you get that you get probably color-changing gee I didn't see the GI kind of stuff though so I don't know long yeah I can't remember on the the list either good to have anything about the GI the specs yeah I don't think I read through it or not you get let's see I go right here oh the lift ramp that's well yeah the lift ramp in the orbit that goes back up to the sword instead of dropping it into the hops right you get custom molded figures instead of the 2d plastics you get which is something new for stern premium you get a original soundtrack to set - oh yeah and the Le you get the LP yeah I think that's really so you get that yeah um what else with premium le all the features I wouldn't okay good spec sheet it's too far away so that's nice man Oh read the spec sheets ha ha that's what you're gonna get the dents between the premium and le is about 1500 bucks yeah and I've arguing with somebody on pin side I think it's now worth it if you want all those features I think it's worth it you get the metallic powder coat yeah nice job stirring for the metallic I like it you get a magic glass or the clear glass you get a shaker motor you get a mirrored bag glass yeah right you get side art yeah unique side art that you can't buy yeah see him by the side art what else you get the plaque authenticity the LP that's about it yeah okay at the light speakers like to bet me in sixty excess rings yeah it adds up so the le makes sense now it's not just hey I paid more just cuz I'm special limited yeah if you want those features and makes Iger so let's go into art art art art people are heralding this as the most beautiful pinball machine ever made Jeremy Packer (Zombie Yeti) aka zombie Yeti does it again he knocks it out of the park you started with ghostbusters any went to Iron Maiden and if it couldn't get any better here's Deadpool pinball how do you feel about the art on Deadpool I mean I'm public I've been public with it on the TWiT podcast I like it a lot Greg no great you're not the naysayer okay I'm the nice guy so here we go again it's a salty guy I'm not salty about it though it's salty barnacle we tapped I'm going to be completely honest these people expect honesty and give my opinion and for some reason people take our opinions stronger than what they should that's why we love that and it's not just taking an opinion stronger than they should but how worked up I am or how deeply we feel about ya our disclaimers its pinnacle of what we say it doesn't affect me that much but I'm gonna tell you the negatives that I see but first I shall start with the positives geez so I I think that that is I think Jeremy's artwork is phenomenal yeah he's if I use a pure talent it is beyond pure talent like you know the t-rex is phenomenal yeah you're big yeah are you okay with the t-rex yeah and he's mortal lizard he looking for it's a certain style bar I think circa Godzilla and you know Matthew brought the Megalodon fan-freaking-tastic premium cat okay love the look of it I loved his artwork on the play field I loved his rendition of Deadpool I loved it all I think it's fantastic okay then what's my type is o is when we come into the cluttered Ness whoa careful now that's a big word cluttered yes and and and there's been some people reach out and some people said well that's comic book art some comic book art your comic book connoisseur can't well not not real but you own yes yeah yeah I'm more does that comic book marvel yes and no like some of it is very cluttered but this but you're working in such small spaces on a comic you know some things are a full-page illustration but there's so much jam-packed in there and I I can somewhat be okay with that but some of my problem because it is but it isn't my problem really comes in with the colors it's so I think it's I think it's just overly vibrant and in-your-face especially the Le because the powder coat you think that border yeah I think it's the border I think it's the bright yellow side you guys over here the oversaturation of the Reds in it okay there's just so much of it like I said that a red and yellow color scheme on anything is is very in-your-face okay so you're talking le cabinet as well yes yes okay and I think that the Blues on the premium toned it down it feels red yellow green yes okay yes which is very vibrant ones you gotta be careful with red yellow yes because like look at Ghostbusters was was fairly vibrant but it wasn't it didn't it didn't blast you the for green but the background was yes muted yes it didn't blast you in the face like like it seems like okay Franchi came out in Batman 66 okay there's beautiful yes I thought it fit everything then Chris came out with guardians guardians to me was a little overly bright but but but but it the movie when you look at Gomorrah you look at the colors of yondu you look at them it was the colors of the movie okay it fit Iron Maiden comes out Iron Maiden very vibrant bright colors okay but not sandy but not so much in your view saying yes like the cabinet it was beautiful rich color so it looks great but still had some dark dark muted to it you don't know Sam then this comes out and it's just a really hole of color BAM and over sets right yeah it's just something I don't know visually I can't put my my say yeah I know there's people out there so everybody can get mad at me but I have there it'll turn this I've heard of a lot of red and typing on our pizza but I've heard a lot about this and I've heard a lot of people talk about it in private it's just personally for me it's so bright but I thought that with guardians I got it I didn't get it in my house but I saw it on here your house assault on location it wasn't as vibrant as is yeah yeah he said on social media just wait and see see it in person well that's what I'm saying so I think the Le is going to be phenomenal in person but you know me I like I like slap me in the face you do right you like that you do very much so and that's where we differ I'm a more subtle like I like something like a color scheme on something like Demoman you know something that's that's plain don't don't get me wrong I'm just seeing the more I think you're right that's a good it's a good palette yeah you know what I'm seeing where it's just not net and granted it is a comic book so there is a lot of colorful character you get a lot of rad that goes on we do get a lot of Red Dead pulls right but you get a lot of red but do you understand even though you love it you love the bright in your face can you conceive of where I'm coming from absolutely yeah yeah I know where you're coming from I don't care because it's pretty it's it's a top ten pinball art I can't complain about anything I think it's all beautiful I love the Blues that pop here and there I love the the dark blues on his shoulders the Reds about nope nope nope so if we're talking cabinets I think all three of them are spectacular I think the back glass on the pro the winner the backlash on the Premium le from a composition standpoint looks really good even from but I'm not crazy about his face showing was entirely burnt up face yeah I Deadpool is a full sheet he's a full sheet that's all I want Deadpool s the chimichangas take it or leave it yeah but on that Pro cabinet you cannot tell me that that's too much pop of color that is the perfect color combination no it's the perfect color company yes it's not bad I mean I can't complain on it it's kind of in line with ghostbusters you get Deadpool large is that purple that rich pinkish candy color that you had on your absolutely and I like the least rigs in the playfield I like the sayings I like a little like that no no no no no name is riding a unicorn for God's sake no he is right it's unbelievable it's beautiful the Megalodon on the premium is a beautiful blue if you want to go with a blue palette for you I do like the red Pop's it without or throughout I like that Elly's bitten by it's a bit message it may be a sell leave this my biggest problem because if you asked me about cabinet favorite cabinet standalone cabinets the premium okay you asked other back glass I like the pro back glass better I like the pro all-around better aesthetically then I think when you add that pro cabin it's still awesome it's more a little more cohesive there's not that dynamic contrast between the blue cabinet and then the the you know everything else all right layout this was the same design that was in that leaked photo in January and I will tell you about this design do you want me to tell you what and you you might think I'm stupid I was I like Gomez I do like his games is clunky as you think they are kind of Corvette but shoots like a dream and this might this might change after the 15th okay but the reason I want to buy this game is because I am so curious about how this shoots because it is such a different layout it's different and that's what makes me want to buy it it's because I want to play something different I drew that's what George does whatever doesn't agree with that yeah it is unique it's not the typical Gomez lay at female yeah no it's got his typical bins it's got his toys and his game X in it yeah but it's it's awesome plea different layout mm-hmm like that I'm so intrigued by that upper ramp through that that bin that's gonna be slow right I don't see how it's not gonna be I think it's gonna be slow but I'm okay with that I don't have to have wit back Rania I don't have to have that sometimes I prefer the journey of a ramp than I do a Steve Ritchie back and forth I agree I like it going behind the backboard I like it coming to John boards yeah I'm just a second catch your breath yeah it's your [ __ ] together and then you you get to watch it yeah it's now on the premium Ellie you do get that lift ramp in the shooter lane so that when you hit the left orbit yeah you can go to the right flipper whereas on the pro which I don't like you hit that left orbit you're it's stopping you in there so where does it go into where does that lift ramp bring your ball up to does it go to the handle nope right at the top there Oh above the above the shooter lines just gonna go okay so it goes up above the shooter line that's nice I know it's really nice because if not me up I know the pros gonna put you in the Pops and then you know what happens when you're in the pop it loses the ball so the left ramp left dream it's gonna be fine then it's got a horseshoe looks like that's that's pretty cool I like that the three bank that's the killer knockin others drop target gets a little baby Deadpool there yeah I don't mind I don't mind it I like that at least opens up and you shoot behind it yes I do I mean you can lock a ball back here - yeah it's gonna kind of like a Star Trek yeah yeah when you hit that switch behind him pops go back up capture a ball and then you get to release the ball I likes like the trifecta denise's locked ah denisa gate like that well that's at least that's what Gomez said on recent plug I hope it is that way because I like I still worry about the right orbit Greg it's gotta know Bowl guides it has no bulk already talking about like when it goes up towards those wrongs don't have that bulk no right here so right yeah you don't have that metal ball guide yeah like oh yeah I don't get the swish you're gonna get the school you think it's gonna clunk off of that I don't think so I think even though you've got that gap there I think that it's the only one that's been saying that so I'll be happy to be wrong but I will be really happy if I'm right let him eat it all right for inlay I don't need for rollovers oh no that's not the only kind of confusion I just love we'll talk toys in a minute but so layout young with you the reason I really wanted this game is because it is pretty it is in the layout it is now for one little cot you want a little controversy or you think we need to stay steer clear that yeah that's kind of the direction we're headed these days so nice well here's your country well give it to a month I doubt very much so that this entire design was scrapped completely from Trudeau really yeah this from us if you stand back this feels more like Congo than it does than it does you know Batman 66 now what is different is you can tell the ramps are very the geometry is Gomez the Avengers in the back that's Gomez the sward Gomez but there's some things that just are too unique in my opinion to be a fully scrapped and replaced Gomez it's just me but what if it's but this is the thing though and I completely understand where you're coming from but as a designer do you not think there's things in your head do you not think there's some playfields that you already possibly kind of have worked up so do you think that this is just a design that he has been sitting on that just happened to go to this theme maybe it was something down the road just my opinion there wasn't gonna be Deadpool did he bump in you know no I don't think so because you just don't think it feels enough like go man I think Gomez has got enough on his plate gomez is running a company I don't think Gomez sits around and says ooh let's go back to my design notebook and keep draw gomez busy why do you think Gomez is on this game yeah I understand yeah but you think Gomez is on this game it will never get the answer no we're never gonna get the answer at all and I'm okay with it I'm okay with it boss here yeah it's fine to me cuz this is your net and technically gomez puts his hands on this thing yeah and makes it right yeah it is now anything that anybody else done is no longer there's this is the shape of Gomez yeah no I agree alright so if something doesn't play right on this thing it's a Gomez thing either this thing is the greatest shooting stern pinball machine in existence I will say I'm wrong about Jorge Gomez layouts about everything I still I George's will eat a crow no not really ah yes that's my favorite thing in all seriousness is like I think it is a beautiful game like I said it's so a phone but it looks fun like I'm just so intrigued do you know what I'm saying I just want it it's a new toy and it just looks different let's talk about how argued for different yeah let's talk about toys toys and innovation thing there's a damn sword on it that you like balls in the handle are you talking about who I like that sword a lift ramp in the shooter Lane ever seen that again that's not like different things are different it's got the three bank that comes down and you hit it the ball bashed bobble the disco ball disco ball with disco mode that's kind of one of all the reasons I want a premium that damn disco ball if they do it right if they do it like Star Trek delays if they cut out the GI and you see that disco ball the music and it really turns and sparkles I'll die that's a must buy yeah I'm so excited about this game and that's another you know what like that cuz there's cool features on it like it's another reason I hope it shoots good I hope that the layout is neat I'm not that's nothing my biggest concern but so uh we'll get into that in a minute what about this bobblehead I don't mind it oh okay yes okay speaking of the bobblehead so me and Zach and I tried to research it yeah yeah I think you're wrong I have a couple Deadpool comics and I don't know like I'm not I'm not a somewhat of a Marvel fan but a more spider-man than anything but I know that there's the bobblehead in the movie in the film but is the bobblehead a part of Deadpool in the comic series someone write us that is a Deadpool fan die hard Deadpool fan let us know if that's the case or whether they mesh the two yeah so we were talking I was talking on the TWiT podcast a mrs. pin and dr. pin they gave their first impressions with me on that yes listen to a very good podcast father thank you so dr. pin was saying kind of what you're saying like it's integrated well it makes sense for this pinball machine I was arguing with him saying I think every little funky piece of chimie Chonga and unicorn and disco ball that's all actually in the theme yes I don't think that that is but I don't know enough about that boy that's what I said I know the film but live dead pool comic I don't know but what I told him is I can see if it's not Metallica had no Sparky before dirty Donnie created that character for that brand yeah and that was integrated well maybe this is Sparky this is this is a Deadpool Sparky very good boy yeah so anything he pops up throughout I'm he's grown on me but the bobble head he's growing on I didn't have as big a problem with him you know what he's growing on me as a character more than he is as a function cuz I still just yeah you know this yeah and now what the kids do know there's the club they do this kind of thing kids are terrible the ratchet children they don't make sense no that's terrible they like negative things all the time everything is so cynical for a while we need that you know what we need the Bill and Ted they asses back to the 80s don't we early 90s we need to take him back yeah I mean I don't learn something did pull of Marc Silk work E and it's such a weird ass guy like the bobblehead regardless to me whether it's in the comic no that's not it still sort of fits his sword weird ass ways you know what I'm saying like okay I don't know we'll see yeah talk about animation so we don't know what it looks like on that LCD but we've given we've been given snippets and we've been given the theming of how they're what they're trying to do they're trying to do your 1980s arcade fighting games right the the x-men vs. Capcom your you know they're the street level where you walk with their Street pal boom boom here comes the boon we're gonna load booms so you're gonna get that those are gonna be your graphics except really yeah everything everything the entirety is gonna look like an 80s NES game or an 80s arcade you know how that's gonna work okay remember the spider-man games are the new stuff where you jump in your teeth there's like 450 ninjas that come out that's why there's ninjas everywhere yeah so it's gonna be like that and when it looks like when you start loads up you're playing a character juggernaut or somebody and every shot is gonna on the screen you're gonna be hitting the character and you're gonna try to deplete his meter I'm very typical on a Haiti's game so then then you can load up your boom for additional help defeating these characters I think and you can team up with the good guys so it's gonna be a very unique code set we'll talk about then well the display though is gonna be very 80s until Deadpool breaks the fourth wall as he's known to do and then high-res Deadpool will come up it's well done great Oh brilliant I'm clapping that's brilliant because you have no assets to use from the film cuz this isn't based on the film and the comic book is a comic book yeah so you can't use that you don't want to try to make it like an animated series yeah there that you did your own well they could've yeah that's too much work yeah so they did 16-bit easy to code don't think it's kind of mean as long as it's done right it's this I've got excited I am - OH sound sound is gonna pay a play an integral integral it's gonna play an important part in this game when's the premiums gonna no you're not going to see the premiums till end of September probably end of September so the sound is gonna play important role because they'd have an original soundtrack yeah that's really important to them so much so that they're giving you the music so much so that you can download and purchase the music later on they're really thinking a lot about this music and I've heard it's varied it's very you get all types of music you get your hip hop's you've got your your discos you've got your smart Deadpool is different yeah so you're gonna get different music but oh the Le you get that sound package - I like it hot that sound I'm curious and also sound Greg they got the voice actor that does Deadpool face ability he does a lot of work yeah he is a very well known voice yes he does video games she does cartoons animation yes Nolan North I believe if I'm wrong I'm sorry you're not watching anyway who cares now but he does he is Deadpool yeah he is Deadpool you can't get Ryan Reynolds I don't even want Ryan rim I don't agree with what you guys said or something right Hussein does the scripts the show or the thing yeah it does the dialogue yeah yeah you got a house saying is a he's a comedian yeah hilarious oh yeah and then you got a couple more people that they really think get a line up here and this is something we haven't touched on but somebody said I'm one of your one of your podcast or something about I thought that it was oh it was uh when you and eclectic gamer Dennis Dennis we're talking I think I think that this was a wise move to I agree 100 on it but to do nothing with the film because the film franchise will not be timeless no matter how much you like Ryan Reynolds no matter I don't you like those movies it will not be timeless it says I like Ryan Reynolds this will be time told you that in press because you got his poster well you just need an autograph uh-huh but this will be timeless and it can fit and it can span generations different than x-men X so this this is an x-men yeah x-men feels constricted it feels flat I agree Deadpool feels artistic and colorful and fun and and raunchy but that's Deadpool I do think that they ever won working on this that the tone feels that's what I'm saying is the tone I think if Deadpool was done back in x-men game it would feel constricted oh this is like a an actual comic book license that breaks out I agree you know I heard this even feels better than spider-man vault spider-man vault feels really safe and this feels like a comic book that says to hell with it we're stirring pinball we take chances and we're not afraid to get a little raunchy well that's very well you got to know you don't have no you don't have to but I think that would benefit I think stern pinball and spook you for that matter we'll take things a little further they do I'm glad I like that we know Jersey jet doesn't American pinball's more of a family kind of thing okay code here's my statement before we start seeing this you'll probably see this before the stream Deadpool pinball success we'll come down to the code that is the maker brick art fantastic layout even if it is a little unorthodox it's gonna be fine but we got his toys and mix I don't think so I think the maker break is the code now we got tan yoke lice he has never led on a game before okay this is his first lead as code designer okay so he does one of two things he's not experienced enough he's worked on a lot of games though it's hardly not experienced enough on his own stuff and it falls flat and it seems very spell upon me or he's proving himself because this is the first time he's put the big-boy hat on and he shoots for the stars you know get a great code that's the make or break for me well sometimes names shoot for the stars if you end up a failure tune in complete code you've went so unique that it just misses it feels good in your head it sounds good but it doesn't appeal to the masses the codes the only thing I'm worried about in this game that's it honestly anymore I'm more worried about the code than anything on any game and they've been putting a lot of time on code yeah how complete do you think this code would be I've been told that it is near full complete similar to Iron Maiden yep that's what I've been here so does that mean it's they've been working on this game for a long time this is never supposed to come out in November yeah I think I'm excited again I'll restate it numerous times like I I've been holding off for monsters for my first new box I'm intrigued right I am so intrigued 15th will be making a break different it looks like you've got one two three four five six villains ish mm-hmm okay six villains looked like six nine x multiplier nothing too extreme two three four five multiplier I think you open up a mode possibly no because each shot doesn't have yeah you qualify mode you hit the scoop you start the mode that mode is one of probably the top villains you play those through a series of hitting correct shots on the screen see that's the problem on the screen you're not going to get much of a story I don't think no you're gonna get a kick or a punch yeah this is a plea to meter yeah you're gonna be careful with that x-man was stale because of that so you're gonna get that you hit the dead targets to the left to light locks yeah you've got a lot of multi balls though Taney oh nice job on that you've got numerous it's starting to doing more of this like you hit enough of one particular shot you're gonna get that multi yeah so you've got that we're gonna see we're gonna see great you know what though something that I don't think a lot of people really think about and pay attention to playing Star Wars Star Wars has it always goes back to store I always go back to games that I I'm very familiar way okay that's you should yeah okay so I was watching my my buddy Sean come over that was routine and blew up my freaking Star Wars and it makes me just 11 bill I'm sick and yes and but watching them play because it's such a fast game there's a lot of good screen clips on there that I've never seen before oh he's playing and I opened up the game really well but there's a lot of stuff on there that I'd never seen before a lot that's pretty cool because I'm always focused on the play field because it's such a fast game I don't think screen animations on these LCDs are gonna matter that much until moments of downtime they matter to me they do to me but I'm seeing moments of downtime like when you hit that ramp if it is a long ball time then I have a second to look up you want to see something I want to see something then Stern manufactures think about that because I'm sure it's crossed your all's mind but I don't know really has I think that if you've got a randomest or maybe even in between if your balls in a scoop yes I'm cool show something cool yes because that is the downtime that is time I really get to see my screen the rest of the time I might be glancing up for quick info but if it's a rocketing game the the animations if don't matter as much now if it's a slower game that's a lot of stopping go animations are gonna matter C Mon efficiently like Simpsons I've got a Simpsons with a color D indeed never really cared that much about color Dean D but it's great in that because there's a lot of stop-and-go in Simpsons so I get to see a lot of what's going on then I did that DMD and it makes a huge difference to me now Jorge Gomez says it's the flow game so that's what I'm so it's not gonna matter so much but still emphasizing you said the scoop or the ramp emphasize those moments and it will it will pull you in and make that game seem more complete yeah yeah did a lot of other things I'm not thought about that point and that's a really good point actually my home and go me I'm gonna give him some credit here I what I what I respect about Jorge Gomez layouts and design is that he is not a one-trick pony no he he is the conglomerate of a lot of different aspects of pinball that we all love yeah that is layout yes mechs yes right flow yeah if you will so he does a lot of different little things he does a little bit everything very well yeah if you will the only thing you know you're gonna get Ritchie just speed out of Jorge Gomez is a hundred eighty degree or a ninety degree Bend that's my only beef with I don't mind should we wrap this up then like your daddy should have done yeah that was I'll give it to you that's a good one oh no something went up there and it was like no no let him get you on that one he got you all right so what do these people need to know they need to watch the live stream yes check
