## Transcript

Now who's responsible, I say, who's responsible for this unwarranted attack on my person? I say, I say, I say, pay attention now, boy. This is, of course, Foghorn Leghorn presents the Pinball Junk Drawer. You all asked for it, I say, I say, you all asked for it now, you're gonna get it. Boy, oh boy, are you gonna get it. Go, I say, go away, boy, you bother me. Step right up, ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the one, the only, the often imitated never duplicated fueled by coffee juicy juice and sadness i mean dreams i'm talking about pinball junk drawer big show 83 i'm the one with coffee crap from sally's and we're all filled with dreams anywho what do you got going on i'm foghorn leghorn just to For the record, Your Honor. I'd like that stricken from the record. I'm looking forward to Expo. Yes, Expo mania running wild on us. One week away. We're not going for the full compliment, but close enough. I don't know what we were thinking. I know. Next year we have to just, you know. The whole thing. We'll be there the entire time. Probably Tuesday night. Who knows? Just for the hell of it. Yeah. Because it started out, we were like, well, should we even go? And then we broke under pressure and bought the tickets. That was, well, we'll do Friday and Saturday. Yep. Well, wait a minute. We're media, the media mixer. That's always fun. We're the media. Yeah. Well, now we're leaving half day of work on Thursday, coming home, logging my game, driving down to Chicago. and now we had to do the two hotel jump there, which, eh, whatever. That's okay. It's not that big of a deal. No. Thursday to Friday. The first hotel has that really awesome toiletries, so we'll be fine. Yes, we'll be fine. We may be heavier on the way over. Yeah, yeah. So, I don't know. Like, well, talking about Expo, you know, I did reach out. Brian Allen, artist Brian Allen, said he will be going, and I said, okay, you will be getting some of my money. Yes. I'm also going to chew his ear about the project I pitched to him and I haven't heard back about. So I'm going to say, name to face, make it happen, bro. And we'll talk about that after I talk to him at Expo. I'm sure he'll just be like, yeah, whatever. Okay. So, you know, we're hoping to – what are some of the things you're looking forward to playing at Expo? I know all the – it seems like this year is like really ramping up the homebrew. Homebrew, yeah. It's almost like the expo is going to start becoming like the showcase of homebrew. Yeah. Could that be a thing? Yes, it should be. It could be. It's really awesome. Like, was it last year was The Greatest Showman and Saw. Saw, of course. And Saw. Saw was awesome. Skateboarder, Slippy, Slappy, Samsonite, Seismic, Shift, Pin Turn, I don't know. Skateboarder, Glenn. his saw which is awesome and of course now the showman I guess the greatest showman isn't bringing his but I think he has a new one I don't think I'm not sure if they're coming I think that there were some conflicts I'm thinking of the General Lee dude the guy that had the General Lee he has a new one that he's bringing is that Jake? I don't know so I think he's the one bringing the Steamboat Nikki. And then next year I'm going to make a knockoff of that one called Steamboat Itchy. From Itchy and Scratchy. I can talk nonsense because I'm not going to do any of it. So we're looking forward to this. I want to see Predator. I have heard that there's going to be some Predator there. I kind of want to play that Alice in Wonderland again. Now I have heard and this is from Rob Burke that whatchamacallit Homepin's gonna be there that's the guy that hates Americans well it's the Chinese made he made like Homepin was it Thunderbirds I can't remember and like Blues Brothers that was that open source Blues Brothers which now they said they have a they have a reset button, so if you buy a used Blues Brothers, you can just get it back to factory setting and not have to worry about all the porn and viruses that someone has installed on your pinball machine. So that's probably good. I have not heard anything about that. No, me either. In fact, I have no interaction with this guy other than this company, not this guy. This company, other than what I've read and heard. So maybe I shouldn't use my jump to conclusion, Matt. Maybe I'll just see what it's about. I don't know. I heard Dune's going to be there. Yes. I would like to revisit Dune. Oh, yeah. I had a lot of fun playing Dune. Yeah, we played it at the IO Arcade. Yeah. Was that Mill... No. Madison. It was Madison. Yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Madison. When we went to see... Murder by Death. Yes. So that was... Yeah, that was really... I was surprised because I don't know nor care at all about Dune. It's fine. I don't, I just don't, it's not, it's one of those things I never got into. I watched it. Yeah. I watched the one with Sting when they were like, some guy had some like pus on his face. And then I, we tried watching the new one like twice. And I just don have that kind of stick Right I was like you know what You go do you Sandman Worm Guy Yeah I mean the machine Oh the pinball machine cool It was very fun Yes it was And it weird because if you know the Dune world you kind of know it enough I mean, I knew it enough to like, oh, that's the sandworm and those are the things. I don't know the actual terms and stuff, but it was a very immersive game. I really loved the shots on it. Yeah. So, yeah, I'd love to play that again. I had really great games on it. And we were there. Yeah. I don't know if there's one around here. I'm sure there is. I'm sure there's got to be one. We'll have to check the pin map. Yeah, wow. Pin map. Yeah. So then, you know, and then the homebrew. I'm trying to think what else is even out there. Because we know Star Wars. We know, you know, like Harry Potter, Star Wars. Like all the big hitters are going to be there. Marco's going to have their supermarket area with, like, scratch and dent and used stuff and everything. so that'll be exciting. We're going to spend a lot of money on this. It's possible. Yeah. You know, I always like Expo. You know, we get to see all the tribe and hang out with them and bring junk to put on the goofball table. Right. I don't know. I actually sold some stuff last time. You did? I don't know. I'm thinking about taking down one of those. you know i have those those uh led things that like that like scrolly the scroll with the messages yeah and everything i have like three sets of those because my work had them and then they didn't want them they didn't use them i said hey can i have those and they said yes so i took them all and i have all the remotes and all the software like they work they're really they're good working machines but i don't know like what i would have any use for them like in my brain i I was like, well, if we have a bar, it'd be funny. I didn't know some pinball machines actually interact with those. So you can, the topper is those things, and it like. It can just say, Craft Brew Sally's Bar. No, it will not. Maybe. I don't know. But we have three working ones. I'm sure somebody would be like, oh, I like that. I want one of those, and I could sell one. But I don't know if I'm going to take them. I always have these great ideas. I'm going to take stuff to sell, and I'm like, oh, I might need three of these. I don't know why I would need three of these. I don't even know why I need one of them. But, well, here I am with three of them. I have all those planes I talked about for Godzilla. I might need 28 of these. Why would I not? I should just sell a few of them. I'm not even really hurting my stock levels if I sell some of them. I just look at them and I'm like, I'll be happier with the tiny little metal planes. No. That's where I'm going to die poor. oh yeah i looked up everyone was talking about those uh those guitars made of pinball playfields uh-huh i was like oh that's awesome man maybe i'll end up getting one of those well no i won't because they're like a lot of money and i'm saying a lot of money for guitars which means they're a lot of money so if you're saying they're a lot of money how much are we talking about it's like like it looked like it was like 32 50 or five grand oh wow and that's like i mean you know that's custom shop gibson stuff yeah you know or you know i mean like i don't know like that's a duzenberg yeah and that's like a pinball playfield pinball uh guitar would be awesome yeah it would but if you say well you can have this novelty guitar you can have a duzenberg i'd be like i'll take the duzenberg exactly i have a duzenberg guitar wowzers yeah i kind of regret getting rid of it but i regret you getting rid of it as well it's okay it is life goes on what else do we got going on i mean just getting ready for this we haven't really we didn't get anything special so we're gonna have our stickers we have our we have our prize pack that we're donating to project pinball project pinball auction which i think retro ralph is running it oh we're not running it but like yeah i'm seeing it i don't know is that how you say it saying words. I can say words too. Oh, are they doing like a real auction for things? That's what I gathered, but I could be totally wrong. Don't fact check me on that. Because last time I think they just had like a table and then like you, you know, silent auction. Maybe that's what he's doing. I don't know. I listened to, I think it was the one with him and Jamie Burchill. Okay. And shout out to Jamie Burchill. We look forward to meeting you too. Yeah. He said he wants to hook up with us again. I was like, yeah, that'd be cool. Yeah. Definitely. So we have that going on, the stuff to give out, you know. We do have two things that we're going to give out to somebody that we haven't figured out how we're going to do that yet. I think it's going to be, you're going to carry it around in your backpack until Saturday afternoon. And we'll be like, hey, do you like that show? And they'll be like, no. And they'll be like, well, here's a shirt. Now listen to it. That's what it's going to boil down to, sadly. Yeah, we'll see. We say we'll figure something out, but this is the last show before the show. Yeah. So, you know, maybe if we hear somebody yell, if somebody yells our name or says something like, you know. Or if we hear, it's for your ears and your butt. There you go. That could be the first one. So we have two things you said? Yeah. We have a glass and a t-shirt. Oh, okay. It could be like dealer's choice. Yeah. One's for your ears, one for your butt, which, you know, you have to wear the shirt on your butt, I guess. No. Neither one is for either of those. well it could be if you're like listening to a wall like in the 30s oh yeah you would just put the glass up to your ear you're trying to hear somebody like whispering about you know corn futures i don't know then you would put the hey this lady gave me the high hat she's trying to give me the runaround on the corn futures so you put the cup up to the wall and you like oh yeah and then you wear a shirt on your butt so the police won arrest you they be like well you obviously special You can go along your way sir and they hit you with a stick Oh my That could play out like that. Yeah. Probably not, though. It might. Who knows? It could. You never know. You never know what's going to happen. You never know. I am going to take both my toppers down for the homebrew topper. So we have the Godzilla one, which I'm going to just kind of take that as is. It's not complete complete, but it's pretty complete. And then the Woe Nelly one, which is the one I had completed, I kind of do a little bit more touch up work on it. I don't know if they would win or even anyone would even think I like them, but I made them. So, of course, I like it where we made them, I should say, you know, so I don't something like Woe Nelly. They'd be like, well, most people don't even have never even seen that. Yeah. So they wouldn't see how it kind of matches the theme. Do you know what I mean? And that's built very much because we know what Florida's like. And this is like a Florida fruit stand kind of thing. And we're like, I know that world because we lived there for 28 years. So I really could get the vibe correct on that one. But people might not even know that one. But the Godzilla one I think is pretty neat. We'll see. We'll end up taking them down there. They'll get dinged up or stolen. And they won't win anything anyway. I'll be very angry. I'll be very sad and angry. So we'll see. I do have to construct something to take them in. Like I have to make like a box or something. I don't know. Like they're an odd size. So it's not like you're like, hey, this will fit in a box. You know, they're very tall. Yeah. Yeah, weird. We'll see. I said that maybe we can take some of those styrofoam coolers from my work. So maybe they'll fit in those. No, these are big. Those are big too. Maybe. Yeah. Because we do have some cases of beer we're taking. for the tribe. So that has to be hidden too now, doesn't it? Isn't that like very strict? I don't know. Yeah, who knows about the rules. Yeah. So we're not, wink, we're not taking any beer. Wink, wink. For the... Craft Brew Sally is not bringing any craft beer. Oh, how easily the lies roll off your tongue. I think that's going to do it. We don't really have anything else for the pinball portion, do we? I don't think so. I don't either. Keep on playing, and we hope to see you at Expo. And if you do, give us a shout out and we'll say hello. And maybe a sticker or something like that. Or a beer. Yeah. I mean, not a beer. Wink. Wink. No, that'll get you kicked out if you start handing people beers. They'll be like, look, you gotta... Can I see your ID before I hand you this beer? No, they're gonna be like, you gotta go. We don't want people to have beer on the floor. You're giving beer. You're like a dealer. They'll be like... Aw, man. Yeah. Well, hell, you never know what happens. I'm an enabler. Yes. And here is time for everyone's favorite segment. Craft Brew Sally, gonna have to put your journal down. Craft Brew Sally, child, you've been to all the breweries around. You've been running all over the town. Tell me what to drink until I fall on the ground Yeah That's right, people. And we're back. What do you have for everyone this week, Craft Brew? This week we're going to talk about Craftoberfest. Wow, that sounds exciting. It was so exciting. Especially since we got free tickets. Yeah. I didn't realize what the gift we had been given until we were driving home and you said how much they would cost. I was like, wait, what are you talking about? So one of my co-workers is a professional radio contest winner. She really doesn't pay for concerts or events ever. She always wins. I think once you get a system down, you just duplicate it. Right. They know her so much that they don't give them to her all the time, isn't it? I think they tell her, okay, you have to wait a month until you can win again. So she just uses other people's names. Does she use fake voices? You're like, oh, I'm not that person. I don't think so. She should have alter egos and just switch into someone else. Like, oh, no, I'm Foghorn Leghorn. I love pinball. Give me those tickets. I don't know what I sound like, so I guess that's what she would say. Anyway, okay, go ahead. So she got a bunch of tickets for Craftoberfest that was at the Resch Center, which is across the street from? Lambeau Field. Yes. The Frozen Tundra. Now, we had been here before. We had. When we first, I think it was our first trip. We were prospecting. Yes. To see if we were going to move to Wisconsin because we had never been in Wisconsin before. Let's go see what that's about before we sell our possessions and move there. Yes. So we went, I think it was 2019 we went. And then. It just like happened to line up. Yeah. We were above there. We stayed in De Pere, I think. Yeah. And then you were like, oh. And that was funny because we went to that Titletown pinball, it was called at the time. And like, I didn't, I was, I don't want to say shy, but we were like, we're not from the area. And we went there and they were like, oh, this is for tournament only. And I was like, oh, okay. Oh, are you talking about District 82? Yeah. Oh, at that time it was still Titletown. And I stood there and I was like, I'm not going to play in a tournament. Because at that time I was like I not going to just I just was like no that okay And I left when I probably should have just kind of finagled a little bit more and said look we just checking this out I was excited to see it But then they said that I was like well then we going to leave And we just split out. I would have went differently now. But back then, we were just, like I said, we were prospecting to move here. And then. So we stayed in De Pere. And we Ubered to the Resch Center. And we had lots of samples the first time. Yeah. So then this time we just had them and I was the designated driver. So what happened is we each have regular tickets. So they do sell designated driver tickets, but we didn't have that. So I did some homework and figured out which beers I didn't have in my journal. Yes, the fabled Craft Bruce Alley Journal of Beer. so I would get my glass filled and Foghorn would fill his glass and then when mine was empty then we swapped and then he would fill up his glass again with somebody else's yeah, somebody else, you know so I had 29 samples and 26 of them were new yeah, so your untapped went crazy yes, it did now, did you have a favorite? it actually, it was that Ninja Dust. Ninja Dust. From who was that? That was from... One Barrel. One Barrel. Yes. One Barrel. Yeah. And that was one I actually had before. Oh, okay. There were a lot of good ones. Like, there were... Who was there? Lion-Named Kugel. There were so many. Yeah. There were so many. And there was a lot of the weed ones, too. There was Driftless Glen, Dancing Goat, Central Standard. Central Standard has cool stickers because that's the other thing I have a lot of stickers so I was going around and wiping those out too grabbing everyone's these are promo booths they're just there to get their name out they don't care the stickers are there to take they're not being stingy with them I also had one that I really liked was a Corona Sun Brew which was like a sort of like an orangey yeah yeah i remember that yeah i was like corona they weren't aren't they're not really a craft group but they had they had a pretty big booth and a lot of presents like they were giving away like stuff they were giving away those bottle opener yeah it looks like a orange slice and they were key chains yeah and then they had regulars oh that's the booth that had the i came back ball marker i came back with these fancy sun cruiser sunglasses yes um i don't know why you just get what you can get you know so it was a good time though yeah it was good event we were staying there at one point we were sitting there and there was a guy that looked like he was going to go out on his feet yeah he was really drunk he well the well what happened was it was it's from 3 to 6 is the regular like general admission and VIP can go an hour early and then there's exclusive testers for the for the VIP yeah so they were So he was there at that point. He had been there for what? That was at, I think that was an hour and a half. Yeah. And he was done. Well, then he started yelling to his dad, and then they just kept going. I'm like, wow. That's Wisconsin stick-to-itiveness right there. Yeah. Carry that guy out. That's true. It was fun, though. It was. Samuel Adams had a costume contest, and then one of those things where you hold the beer out of his arm. A Steinhoist. A Steinhoist, yeah. Which are not as easy as you would think. Oh, my God. We had one on air, remember? Yeah, we did. Well, not on air, but we did the show right after. So, yeah, it was good. You know, the other thing we go to a lot is there's a, up in Green Bay, there's a car museum. I forget the name of it, but it's a really good one. The car, or the automobile museum? The automobile museum. Yeah, maybe. And it's a really, really nice museum. I really enjoy going there. but they have a craft brew and cars like in march i think it's or something it's like it's really fun and that's one of the things where we then i have something to look at and bore craft through sally with my various facts of nonsense that i know about cars that no one else would care about in the world and that and usually that's when i'm like oh did John Youssi this craft brew here i'm like oh wow that's a blah blah blah that has one extra cylinder for blah blah blah And that's crab brews drinking a beer. Wow. And it's orange too. And you go, yeah, whatever. So it's a lot of fun. Yeah. But I do have like the best designated driver that there ever was. Oh, well, that's fair. I didn't. And I always make sure I'm not trying to shuffle you out. I want you to have your time. Yes, I know. So good times. Anything else? I don't think so. I don't think so either. You can always visit Project Pinball. Yes. Or wait until Expo and bid on ours. Bid on our prize pack for ProjectPinball.org. Give them all the money in your pocket. Yep. And if you have anything you want to shout out or if you want your own stickers from us without risking it going to Expo, you can shoot us an email at pinballjd at gmail.com. Yes. You'll be glad you did. That's it for this week. It's for your ears and your butt. It is for your ears and your butt. Just Ask Jack Danger. Yes. See you next time, everybody, with our Expo Wrap-Up Extravaganza. Yes. Won't that be exciting? Yes, it will. I don't think. Well, maybe. We'll see. You never know what the future holds. Never do. That's it, man. Game over, man. Game over.
