The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me. This year we're going to grab the bull by the balls and... Those don't cost anything. Well, it looks like probation didn't work. So that's it. Double secret probation for you. You. Welcome to the Poor Man's Pinball Podcast. Welcome to the Poor Man's Pinball Podcast, episode number 86, the sloppiest show on the internet, sloppiest sponsorship of the internet. How you doing, Drew? I'm doing great. I'm here. I'm rusty. You are rusty. It's been two weeks. I'm in my pajamas and shit. I'm rusty as hell. Happy New Year's, Drew. Happy New Year. Oh, you buttholes across the land. We missed you. Is it New Year's in Australia yet? I know they're a little behind. I think they had it. They're good. They're already in 2022. Oh, they're ahead. They're way ahead. Is COVID still there? Is it gone? No, I don't know. Are we having pinball shows in Australia right now? Yeah, but they're playing the remake of The Shadow. Did you see release The Shadow? Spoiler alert. 2022. Way to go, Australia. What up, buddy? How you doing? I'm doing good, man. Do you do any New Year's resolutions? Uh, no. No? No. I didn't really think about it much, but... I was working. How hard is it to have resolutions when you're this guy? When you look like him in a kilt, you need lots of resolutions. Because I wear a kilt, I need resolutions. Maybe. I told my wife... How did my life get to this point? I told my wife about that earlier, and she just said, none of you guys need to be wearing kilts. Ooh. Well, she hasn't seen me in the kilt. I think she could imagine it, and then she got turned off. God, you're glorious. Yeah. I don't know. Yeah, Jessie J thought I was glorious. Your wife might have a thing for me. I don't know. Yeah. So how you doing otherwise? Man, thanks for the bits, everybody. We got bits. Josh here from Matarito. Ladies are coming in. Josh, welcome back, buddy. Welcome back. Welcome. Josh, how's it going? Pinball Nerd. Glad to see you, guys. Pinball Nerd is here. We love you, Orby. How's it going, man? Over under the number of hours until Margaritaville gets banned. Ooh, Margaritaville. Tony Stoots, thanks for the bits, guys. Happy New Year's. Happy New Year's. Welcome to, what, season three? Are we calling it season three? Yeah, we can call it whatever we want. Welcome to season three, episode one. In about ten episodes from now, we'll be like, is this season two? We'll call it season two. We don't care. Season three it is. It is. It is. Cheese Spices Up. Beautiful. We'll love it, Cavalier. All right, Drew, what do we have today? What do you want to do today? Well, you know what? I'm going to tell everyone what we're doing, but let's open the bar first. Okay, opening up the bar. Come in. Grab a seat. The bar is open. All right. So for all you guys in pinball land, for all you diehard fans, I'm sure you noticed that these are empty. This is not our New Year's resolution, by the way. We are not drinking, so don't get silly on me over here. You think I want to remember 2021? Whoa, whoa, whoa. No, no, no. So today for our What's Your Drinking segment, Billy YJ, tribe member number something, and one of our social media gurus for the Poor Man's Pinball podcast page, he sent us a little package, and we suspect there might be something delicious in there. So we're going to open it up, and we're going to consume whatever's in there, even if it's not edible. Yeah, we don't even know if there's booze in there or not. We're going out on a limb, so Billy Y.J., I hope you don't disappoint. Yeah, we get packages fairly often here. A lot more than Franchi. And it's been fantastic. We love it. But there's got to be a point where you start to think to yourself, have I given my personal information to too many people? No, never. All right. Every other day I'm asking my wife, hey, did that package come? And she goes, what is it? And I'm like, probably from a pinball person. And she goes, no, it's not here. I don't have a lot of slack here. Ian's learning how everything works here. Switchblade. It's a big box. Boxes. It's a big box. Ow. That's not the sharpest. Ow. I'm bleeding everywhere. Yes. All right. Yeah, that's literally the dullest knife in the history of anything ever. All right, so Billy Y.J., we are waiting on Ian to continue to learn how to open a box. There's a lot of tape here, Billy. This is poor commentating. These are pinball packing wedges from Stern. I recognize those. I've gotten quite a few. Thank you. What else we got in there? More pinball packing. More pinball packing. We got a pinball machine? bubble wrap I like bubble wrap world's dullest knife going into bubble wrap might need to go again we are back folks this is the most exciting internet show you will ever see on pinball in the next three minutes go sloppy yeah we're dry right now hopefully we can rectify that yep I told you you had to go over it again that's what she said Billy loves this tape. We're going to stick home on Billy Y tape. So for you guys who don't know, Billy's last name is Jager. Not spelled the same, but he gave us some Jager Meister. Hey, Loser Kid, thanks for being in chat. Zach Many, thank you for being in chat today. Wow, we got everybody here today. You guys are seeing a sober Drew and a sober Ian. This is like a treat for everybody. Ian hates that shit, I think. I don't want it. Jager. Yeah, Jager's... This is college, man. Yeah. Look at this giant box of this bottle of Jager. So what are we doing with it, Ian? I took the Jager because I threw everything out. So what are we going to do with that Jager there, Ian? Well, in typical poor man's fashion, we're going to drink it. after Ian complains for two minutes what are we doing? yeah we're drinking it oh man at least it's cold this might be as bad as when Zach Menny was unboxing that Pirates of the Caribbean drinking rum every five minutes he wasn't even drinking the good shit he was actually drinking Captain Morgan oh the captain we're only doing a little bit of this stuff this might hurt dies in And, ooh, so anyways. So this is for the end of a shitty 20. Billy Y.J., thank you so much. Thank you, Billy. Even though Eden doesn't appreciate you? I appreciate the gift. The sentiment's great. This stuff, the gift is horrible. This is the stuff that just killed me in college. I'm very, yes, see, I did my share of Jaeger bombs, but I'm very neutral on Jaeger. I mean, I don't love it. I don't hate it. Yeah. I was on a Jaeger bomb, guys. You went to Jagerbaum. Jagerbaum. Okay. Oh, it does smell like college. Oh, no. Here is to the... If I instantly throw up, it is just because of nostalgia. Here's to the end of a shitty 2020 and the start of a new great 2021. Damn you, Billy. Here's to you guys. Hit me again. Oh, God. I'm getting crazy. Oh, Kerry Hardy has decided to join us as well. Kerry, what up, brother? How the hell did you get on the drop-down menu for podcasts when you haven't made one since, like, September? Cheers to you, Kerry, for screwing the system up. Cheers to making the drop-down menu for you, Kerry. I'd say hit me again, but don't. Oh, my God. That first one, I felt manly and great. And that second one. Woo! All right. Okay, so for you guys following along at home. Bar's open. Ian's open. Yep, the bar's open. Drew's got red scrunchie face going on right now. God, that just tastes fucking like everything. Yeah, that tastes like mop water that was wrung out. 56 spices of mop water. Remember how three minutes ago I said I was neutral on Jaeger? I went to the negative side on that. That's pretty bad. I can't believe I used to drink that as a kid. All right, anyway, go ahead, Drew. What do we got? Okay, so today. Let's move on. Yeah. What are we doing today? Think about it. Okay. We are going to talk some news. Why did I drink it again? We're going to talk a little bit about American Pinball and their new acquisition. We are going to talk a little bit about Stern, kind of changing some things around and some things that might be a little unpopular with the masses, the pinball masses, that is. Read the fine print, kids. Lots of fine print. I only have one sentence. We're going to actually read verbatim, and it is a shitty sentence. We'll get to it, though. It's going to be about shit. Yep, definitely shit. It's going to be about Jaeger. Stern will poop in all of your new machines. Billy, though, I still appreciate this because I was sober before, and now I'm sick of it. Tell me how much you pay for it. I'll give you money back so I can throw it away. All right. How much does it cost you, Billy? All right. So anyway. And then, most importantly, we're going to be doing our Twippy voting on air. Twippy voting. It'll be the 30th time we voted. Spoiler alert. We are not voting for a Canadian Spinball podcast. We're not going to say who we vote for. There's another present in the box, says Tim Lee. Did you throw away a box with more presents, Ian? We threw a lot out. Hold on. Ian's doing that. So, yeah, we're going to go through the entire Twippy thing. We're going to talk about it. And then, hey, Zach, we are going to also talk about the Pinball Industry Awards Pinball Hall of Fame, which I think is a fantastic idea. And I'm not just saying next year sponsor the show, but I think it's very cool to recognize pinball machines from all different eras. Yeah, they have a Hall of Fame. I mean, it would be cool, like the class of 2000. What year is this again? 2021. So very cool. So, yeah, we'll have a lot of fun. We'll interact with you guys, and it should be a good show. And Ian looks dumbfounded. There was nothing else in the box, guys. I saw it. The box looked empty. So we'll contact you later about it, and we'll do an update, put a picture on the page. Nothing? Nada? No. All right, let's go. Okay. So let's get started. Let's get talking some pimple. Are you guys excited? I'm excited. It's the Yeager talking. Do we have a news button on there? No. I just hit the news button. Let me see here. Maybe. I forget what we have set up. I don't think we do. Jeffrey News. Dennis Nordman joins American Pinball. Holy shit. G-Spices. G-Spices. Oh, did you do it? Oh. I just dinged it. I was waiting for Dennis Nordman's face to pop up on there. Dennis Nordman has gone everywhere now, right? Officially? Pretty much, yeah. He has laid so much pipe in this pinball industry. He has done a ton of... He's laid so much... I should say probably ramps, right? Laid that ramp right in there. Every damn... No, you were right the first time. He'd pipe. He probably laid a lot of pipe. He's been piping everybody for years. What did you do? Just show up, go, I'm going to design you three games, I'm going to collect some money, and then I'm going to get the fuck out. I feel he goes there. He runs his fingers through his silky gray hair. God, his hair is great. It is. And he goes, Dennis is here to see the CEO of whatever company this is. This is the case of American Pinball. Yep. And I'm working here starting tomorrow. What do you think of Elvira 5? We're just going to skip 4 and go right to 5. And now we're pretending like we know Dennis Nordman. That's how he sounds. I've seen one interview with Dennis Nordman, and he was like one of the nicest people you've ever seen. Yeah, and we're giving him shit, sure, but for real. He hops around more than a hooker in a coffee shop. I don't know. I don't know if hookers hop, he is. Please tell me. They need the caffeine to stay up late. So I heard, I forgot what show it was. Somebody out there in chat can correct me here. They were talking about all of Dennis Nordman's games. Maybe this was on the pinball show. Maybe it was Dennis and Zach. I don't remember. But they listed all of his games. And I was like, shit. But I knew he did a handful of them. Special Forces, right? First game he made was Special Forces. So my question to you is then, before we just kind of finish this Dennis Nordman segment, besides Whitewater, what's your favorite game? That's a go-to. That's his flagship game. Everyone knows it. It's a great game. It's a perfect game. Besides that, what is... That game shoots so fucking good. What is your favorite Dennis Nordman game after Whitewater? Hold on. Let me look real quick. But, I mean, off the top of my head, I really like the new Elvira. I was just about to say, I think for me, now, I might start the world on fire, as I often do. And you can still get, I think. I like Alvira better than Whitewater. Ooh. I do. You'll create it. And I love Whitewater. I really do. But if I was going to choose to put one in my house, it would probably be. Is that because you're just against any Williams games? No. You're against Williams. Yeah, totally. How many have you owned? Williams? Yeah. Firepower? Oh, that's a good one. Bram Stokers? Oh, Stokers. Stoker. That's what I said. I can never say it right. Stroke, stroke, stroke. What else have I owned? I'm joking. It doesn't matter. I'm not here to try to, you know. Last Asking Hero? The Williams version? The Williams version. All right. Dennis Thorman. Let's see. I know they went over his games. We're not going to do that. He did Party Monsters, Scared Stiff, Blackwater 100. Pirates of the Caribbean. Wheel of Fortune. Wheel of Fortune is a fun game, by the way. Indianapolis 500. Demo Man. Oh, yeah. I forgot about Demo Man. That's one. And Special Forces. You know, yeah, I'm going to go House of Horrors. Elvira. House of Horrors is my favorite. My favorite Nordman game. Guys, there was no box within the box. I think Billy, somebody stole our box. Sorry, Billy. We'll find it. There was a box within the box? We didn't see it. Billy's looking at it sitting right next to him right now at his house. Guys, it really wasn't. I don't know. We're not fucking around. There wasn't a box within the box. This isn't one of Drew's bad jokes. It just wasn't there. Nothing? Okay. We'll keep. Okay. Okay, we're looking again. This is the best episode of the Porn Man Spinball Podcast. Box. Box search. Box. Ian looks like a drunk roommate of mine right now. He just kind of like, he's walking back and forth. His hat's crooked. He looks at the same thing five times, goes back, picks it up. I got nothing. Maybe it's in there. Don't open those. Did we throw? That's all I threw. I just threw one of those. I threw one. Okay. Anyways, so my vote is for Elvira's House of Horrors, and Ian's vote is for? Elvira's House of Horrors. Is it? Yeah, Elvira. Okay. Sorry, everybody. I'm getting a little kerfumbled here. Kerfumbled. Kerfumbled. That's what I'm calling it now. All right. So anyway, yeah, no, Nordman, fantastic. I love, I still want a Special Forces. I don't care what anyone says, man. So do you think. Poor, bad, bad box handling skills. Rachel, I used to work at UPS. That's a true story. I can handle some boxes. Ian's handled lots of boxes. Lots of boxes. Insert joke here. No female boxes, but definitely boxes. All right. So, Drew. Yes. So my question to you is, Nordman is known for his crazy ramps, right? All right. So people say that, but besides Whitewater, what else we got? He's known for Whitewater. But you know what? Whitewater should have crazy ramps because it's Whitewater. Well, and he had a crazy ramp in Elvira. House of Orders, right, and he took it out. And, you know, I'm sure some of those earlier games might have had some cool designs. But anyways, I want American Pinball just to let them loose and just let them go. Oh, yeah. I mean, it's very, very easy to know why he has left Deep Root to go to AP. AP's making games. They're shipping them. They've been proven that they can manufacture, and they manufacture quality games. What they need is design help. And I love Balser. You love Balser. But Balser's just one guy. We need someone in there to mix things up, and I think Norman's a perfect choice. I mean, I'm sure he's designed a lot of good stuff for Deep Root, but it's going to be how long before we see anything. You know, there's that rumor title that's like the sequel to Whitewater. I mean, that's like number five on their list. So when the hell are we going to see that? Probably not in the near future. So that's what I'm saying. It's great because now we're going to get more Nordman real quick, I think. You know, he's going to start to design today. He's going to go to AP, and he's like, what licenses do you have? And they're going to say, well, we have Cracker Jacks. We have Moby Dick. Oh, we have the UPS Box Company. UPS Box Company. Find the box within the box. Tim Lee's going to love it. And we just acquired the license to the Poor Man's Pinball Podcast. Which of those do you want to build a game around? He's going to pick UPS. Probably. That's the biggest brand, biggest license. Box ramps. Box ramps. Packing tape. But no, I mean, no, he'll probably just be like, can I just make something else? Yeah, can I just do my own thing? No, I'm excited to see what he does, and I think having him there with some younger designers is going to be pretty cool. Because he's the senior designer, as it were, I guess is his title. An anonymous cheerer. Thank you for the bits. Thanks, anonymous cheerer. Buttholes, I'm here. Hey, Jessie J, welcome to the shit show. Welcome to the Yagabob, Yagabob. Jessie talks about us more in her show than she talks about Ryan C, and Ryan C is starting to get jealous of the show. Jessie J, you have to, okay, so first of all, I'm going to reciprocate now, and everyone knows I'm not doing this to be a show because I love Jessie J. You have to get around her show. Jessie J's Pinball Adventures is fantastic, and lately, yeah, every time she mentions us, Ryan C goes, it was great. Look at those comments. Yeah, 20 listeners. He goes, oh, yeah, I know, you want Ian and Drew to be bums, but they're married, and this sucks, and blah, blah, blah. I know everyone wants us to be bums. The lady scooped us up early, man. Sorry. Don't worry, we're ruining it slowly but surely. As I tell my wife every day, you have all this. All of it. She doesn't have the receipt, folks. No, she couldn't bring me back. Yeah, it's over. So, anyways, yeah, get her out here, podcast. It's great. And, yeah, so anything else about Nordman? No, I love it. I love it. I love the hire. Do you think they're going to be able to get out more than one game a year? No. That's their big tout now. No, but I didn't notice in the announcement that they talked about Balser being a contract employee. Is that new now? Has he always been a contract? No, from my understanding, and we can get confirmation from Dave Jeff Brenner or somebody from over there. Kaz is here. Kaz, do you understand what's happening to both of them? It sounded like he was employed by them for several years. Yes. And now, either through mutual agreement or American Pinball, he is now like a consultant, a contractor. He's no longer a payroll employee. You know, so he'll still be there. He'll still be helping out, maybe transitioning. Who knows? Okay. No love lost. We still love Balser. Yeah, Balser can make some games. Definitely. All right. Well, that's all I had to say. Yep. So the only other piece of news that I wanted to kind of talk about today, I don't want to get into like a big monologue thing. Actually, you know what I do. It's my show. Fuck it. It won't be a long one. I'll sit here and listen with you. So earlier this week, as people were making jokes at my expense again on the page, which happens often, and I'm grateful for you buttholes, assholes. Yeah, they're talking a lot about you. You know, about Drew changing up his lineup all the time and this and that. And they're right. And I do. And I'm thinking about it again. And you know what? A couple things. I am super fatigued on new sterns. No shocked face, Ian? I'm sorry. I was panicking. No shocked face. You're fatigued about new sterns. Yes. You know, after Led Zeppelin came out, I was like, yep, This game, I'm sure, is going to be fun to shoot. I'm sure it's going to have some great rules. You know, it's got okay artwork on the play field, all that good stuff. But I think it's time to get into some older stuff again. You know, because my lineup now is Jurassic Park, Super Modern Stern, right? Spider-Man, Modern-ish Stern. Turtles, Super Modern Stern. And then Simpsons, another Modern-ish Stern, right? It's a good lineup. Yeah. I love the lineup. I play the games. But I was like... I think most people out there would say that's a fucking killer lineup. It is. No, it's a great lineup. Don't misunderstand what I'm saying. These are good... No, I'm just proud of your lineup. Yeah. I'm proud of your lineup. But... You should be proud of your lineup. We are proud of your lineup. Thank you. But... You know, your joke earlier about Williams games? I need a little more variety in there. I need something, you know, that just shakes it up a little bit. Ian was right. Yeah, Ian was right. I would like to see, I don't know what I'd like to see. I don't see anything, man, really. Well, the sky's the limit. So many games out there. Because I even packed up Avengers because I was supposed to give it back. Guys in chat, what do you guys think is the, if you could get one Williams game in Drew's lineup. Oh, there you go. Could you talk? What's your lineup again? One more time, Drew. Jurassic Park. Stern. Stern. Spider-Man. Yep, Stern. Stern. Sorry. All my games are remakes, I guess. Turtles. Stern. Stern. Simpsons. Stern. Meteor. Meteor. Okay, guys. What do you guys think? You can't say Avengers, guys. Seraph, he just had it for a while. And I'll tell you what. I packed up Avengers, and it didn't work out where I could get it back to Zach in time. And I didn't even think about setting it back up again. I had my fun with it. It was fine. Yeah. But I was like, yeah, you know, it's run its course, and I'm good with Avengers. So Kaz says he did not get an answer from American Pinball, but I guess he's not a full-time employee anymore. Talking about Bulser. Staff's interview said that Bulser is just strictly a contractor. So there you go. Oh, sorry. Real quick. Roller games. I like that. Grab it. That is cool. Nerds. I love it. I love it, Orby. I just want to give a special quick shout-out to, there's a first-time listener here today, a watcher. His name's Mike. He's a friend of Tim Lee's. Hey, Mike. Hi, Mike. Welcome aboard to the insanity that is the Poor Man's FemmeFemme Podcast. It's crazy. You came on Jaeger Day, which is probably the worst day of any day ever. 85 episodes. But we're glad. For a reason. Mike, we're glad you're here. Thanks for joining us. We really appreciate it. We're giving Billy Y.J. some shit, but he's telling us the real present was the box, the mystery box that we lost. He's like, there were $100 bills in there. I can't believe there's another president there Ian's dog is going to shit it out later it's not funny Ian's dog is going to shit out a couple hundred dollar bills how do you lose nobody knows so anyways no roller games is a good suggestion that's kind of where I'm going with this I'm thinking about some fun 80's game taxi taxi something that's on my list so we'll see how that goes I got to find, maybe I'm going to find another project to restore. We'll see. Then I'll have to bug Kerry Hardy because he's the king of restoration in our chat right now. Hi, Kerry. I hear you got a demo or a, what the hell did I beat him on? A Jotty Dread. He's so back to that. He's practicing, bro. Oh, and real quick, but the last part about this Stern thing. Yeah. So the last couple of days, I've done this drunk, sober, and with some THC. Sorry, Billy said the drug dogs must have gotten it. His dog's really telling you. No, like at the airport or at a postal service. Quit sending us drugs, bro. La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la. This is a clean show, my friend, as I'm talking about THC. Wait, there's drugs in my room? I got to use them. Just kidding. So, three times in the last two days, I have almost got to the wizard mode in Spider-Man, like, literally a couple shots away. Is this game going to be too easy for you? Well, I'm an okay player, but I've now almost gotten to the wizard mode three times. And I get to the mini wizard mode almost every time now. How do you like the shots and layout? I love it. I can shoot it all day. I think I saw it on Straight Down the Middle. Zach was very forgiving on the shots and layout. He said he liked them. Oh, it's a fun shooter. It's a Ritchie pin. I mean, it is a classic, classic Ritchie pin, and it's a great theme. So, no, it's going to stick around a while. I'm just, eh, maybe I'm just proud of my wizard mode status. I've only been to a couple of wizard modes, so. And I've still yet to get there. I've gotten close now, so we'll see. And everyone out there is like, oh, wizard mode on there is easy. Well, screw you guys. All right, so anyway. It's not like the shadow. So what are we talking about news-wise now for Stern? Oh, yes. Get into that. Yep. Find great shit. End user license agreements. I now know what EULA means, and now I think the whole world does. Did you hear about this? Yes, I did. So the end user license agreement Stern just released with their new games specifically says that you cannot stream your game without the permission of CERN. What do you think about that? Well, here, let me start with this. Do you think they're going to enforce that, or do you think they just put that in there to protect themselves? Or both? Because putting in language to protect yourself, anyone who's done anything with business, you can understand that. That's fine. You want to cover your own ass? I get that. But if this is really your attitude towards it, I don't know how it sits with me. I'm still – I want more clarity. I want some more answers from Stern. I love Stern as a company. I like what they've been doing. I don't know how to feel about this one. Kind of chafes me. Yeah, the big one I saw when I read there, to answer your question, The big one I saw in there was about the online play and how, you know, the online play will definitely, like, if you hack your system or whatever to make it easier, whatever, you know, just to alter scoring just a little bit, yes, you know, they're going to be, they're going to come down on you, I think, because the online, the whole online thing is going to change, be a game changer, and they're going to find a way to. See, here's the thing. I don't know what they can possibly do. I mean, obviously they can do a cease and desist if you're streaming a game without their knowledge. But with the online play, I don't know, man. What, knock you off the leaderboards, ban you? Sure. But you still have your game. You're still playing it. Sure. Well, no, there's some people speculating. This might be extreme, but they were saying if you do something they don't like and you're connected online, they could brick your game. Yeah, I don't see how that can be possible. It's a physical machine. No, no, no. It is possible with software. The possibility isn't worth it. And there's a possibility to un-brick. So it's not a good... Well, sure, but you still got to... If you don't have computer knowledge, I mean, your game's brick. Now what do you do? Now you call CERN and they say, yeah, we did brick your game because you were... Downloading things into it? Yeah because That computer knowledge my man Boom Bingo Finger guns Got it Killed him All Ian talks about all day is finger guns and boxes Finger guns and boxes. No, no. Honestly, I don't think much is going to come of this, honestly, guys. I really don't. I know people are in a tizzy, but... Oh, no, not a tizzy. I just... It'd be impossible for a company to survive to alienate them so hard. But why now? Why... To protect themselves. I think you were right. Okay. I think it's just language. I'm perfectly okay with that. Let's say. I'm not going off the rails here. I still love. Let's say Jack Danger streams Led Zeppelin, right? Mm-hmm. And it goes swimmingly. He didn't get permission. Let's just, in this wild world, he didn't get permission. And Stairway to Heaven's playing in the background? Yes, and he's having a great time. And then people switch over to Drew and Ian streaming Led Zeppelin, and we're hammered, and we're passed out on the couch. Probably not a good look. They're probably going to say, hey, Drew and Ian's shoving each other. It's my turn, motherfucker. According to Section B, Paragraph 4, you guys are cunts, and we're going to have to get you off. Ryan's thinking we would need more than 20 listeners for Stern to know that we were doing this. True story. But that's what we would do. I think that's what it is. No, I think. I mean, it's growing. The streaming community is growing. We're streaming this. Yeah, but why single out streaming? Don't you want people? Well, they single out a lot of people. No, no, I know. But streaming particularly showcases their product. I understand, but if they don't showcase it in a way that they want. I've watched a lot of pinball streams. They're amazing. They're all amazing. Exactly. You know, people are just saying, I love this game. Here it is. You know, here are the rules, whatever. That's a whole other level of pinball nerd when you're streaming your shit. That's just another level. The people that stream their game. I'm just saying they're protecting themselves from streamers. They're protecting themselves from streamers? They're protecting themselves from unwanted streamers. Jack Danger, you're self-threatening. The fuck do I know? Why are you asking me this lawyer shit? Jack Danger, Ryan Kuiper, you guys are the most threatening people we know. I don't trust either one of you. Beattie and Bill Webb, I love you guys. Dirty bastards, both of them. I've met Bill Webb in person. He is the nicest guy you've ever met. They're both very, very nice. I love Beattie, too. Beattie's a good shit. All right, so that's it. Let's move on. Moving on. Moving on. Let's get to why everybody's here today. Oh, okay. I guess it got pulled down. What's that? The end user licensing agreement. Stern pulled it. Oh. Good call. All right, next. We did that. They just pulled it down now, I found out. Yep. We did it. We got them. So our 20 listeners called in and they said, God damn it. Canada couldn't do it. We got them. You're welcome. Breaking news. The poor man pinball have defeated. We have defeated Stern pinball. We got it. All right. Next. What else do we got to do today? That was the best end to any news story that we've ever done. That was awesome. Yep. We're good. Actually, it was more like Drew shut up. It's over with. It's done. Thank you, Fliptronic. You know what? You're welcome. We love pinfluencers. Okay. Everyone's here because they want our opinions on stuff. They care. They care. They don't want to see this train wreck. What kind of stuff do you want? They don't want to see this train wreck. So bring up, are you going to bring that up on there, or can you? No, I can. To user heavy whatever. I've been up the whole time. Okay. So what we have in front of us is the actual Twippy ballot. We're entering our poor man's pinball at gmail.com. Please email us with anything. All right. So what we're doing is we're just going to go category by category. Now, are we doing our picks, or are we doing who we think is going to win? I think we should do our picks, and we should explain why. Yes. Okay. Okay. Influencers. We are the influencers. And, guys, once we do this, you guys can then vote, okay? Vote how we vote, because we are right. Flutronic, you hear that? All right, let's do this. You have a beard, but you sound like my wife. Best theme based on theme only. Fucker. All right, so best theme based on theme only. We got Rick and Morty. Remember, this is just theme. This is not, it sounds like this. It looks, it's just the theme of the game. Heist. I should say it in like the radio voice. Heist by Multimorphic. Guns and Roses by Jersey Jack. Ranger in the Ruins. What is that? That's another game from Multimorphic. Ranger in the Ruins by Nicholas Baldridge. Thank you, Nick. Sorry, Drew. Heavy Metal by Stern. Hot Wheels by American Pimple. We're just going to ignore all the heavy metal on this? Yes, I'm not going to. All right, Avengers and Teenage Mutant Turtles and Stranger Things. What is the best theme based on theme only, Drew? how do you how do you what about theme gets you excited rick and morty no like like why oh well because you know you see something that you identify with right okay you know uh how i always talk about spider-man and i fawn over it right you know the game the game is a basic fan layout it's steve ritchie it is what it is right but it's spider-man so i fucking love it all right Yeah, and in this case, I disagree with you. I like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles because of the nostalgia. I think that was a killer theme. No, I kind of went back and forth with those, and it was just edged out. I already voted. Rick and Morty. Drew is not, so we're going to go with Drew will be the default, okay? Okay. But I did vote for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Well, then put Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in for the second choice. That is my second choice, actually. Multiple choices. I didn't go to third choice because I think that's just too many, but it's fine. If I was going to do a third choice, though, probably Avengers, right? Yeah, him only. Okay. Okay. Best animations and display. All right. This is going to be, like, most subjective. But animations and display, what is it that gets you excited? I'm as much as I love color DMD and stuff the animations and display are always secondary to me in the pinball world I get it man I prefer call outs over animation and display hearing JK Simmons in Spider-Man doing custom call outs that's cool you're right because you hear him blood rubs the Drew's penis a little bit spider penis it's tingling My spider pants are tingling. Tingling. No, motherfucker. Best animations in the space. All right, so we got Hot Wheels, Stranger in the Roots, Heist, Rick and Morty, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Stranger Things, Avengers, Guns N' Roses, and Heavy Metal. There was a good asterisk brought up on someone else's podcast where they were kind of doing a similar thing, and they said, you know, like Rick and Morty, right? Mm-hmm. Yeah. They literally use almost all clips from the show. Okay? To me, that slightly hurts it. That's what I'm saying. So is that really their animations and display? I'll tell you what I think. Go ahead. Heist, without a doubt, Heist. Okay. Stephen Silver had to make some magic happen when he animated that thing. And I think it is gorgeous. I was leaning towards a similar thing because Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I know they did the animations themselves. Yes. But they weren't the original cartoon. Yeah, they're like cel-shaded. They're cool. No, very cool. And like I said, Rick and Morty looks fantastic because it is the actual clips from the cartoon. Right. But to your point, Multimorphic, Stephen Silver did this all from scratch. Yeah. So for that alone, he's going to be my first choice. Rick and Morty is going to be my second just because very well done. Contagion of Ninja Turtles number three. That'll work out fine. All right. How are we doing, guys? Billy voted heist. There you go, heist. Yeah. You've got to love heist. I mean, that animation, when that came out, everyone saw the crane first. I saw the animation when it was towering over those buildings. Sure, sure. I was like, oh, I want to play this game. So, best light show. All right, so for me, the best light show was Guns N' Roses, and I have not even played that game, and that speaks a lot about that game. That's why I struggled with it because I haven't been in front of it. Right. But once again, Turtles, very good light show. So, Rick and Morty, fantastic light show with Scott Zanissi again. You get it? Yeah. So. What do you guys think in chat there? Whew. GNR, no contest. It's a no-duh. Ryan C. doing the Lord's work. I don't know what that is. Okay. Well. Fucking Ryan C. Ryan C. is here? No, I have no idea. Oh. GNR. Everyone's saying GNR. GNR love is real. Right? It's got to be. Oh, Ryan C. dropped in to call you guys cunts. All right, well, thank you, Ryan C. Does he say an alarm on his phone? He shows up, drops a C word, the hard C word, Ryan C. Yeah, we don't say cunt on this show. Yeah. It's offensive to everybody. Nobody knows what the C stands for in Ryan C. Now we know. Ah, I see what you did there. One of your guns. What are we doing? I still think it's Guns N' Roses. It is. So Guns N' Roses number one. And I will say even then. Who's the number two, though? I'm going to argue Hot Wheels because I was in front of a Hot Wheels and I saw that light show. And what they did for it was pretty impressive. Multiple LEDs, RGBs. Have you seen Rick and Morty in person? No, I have not. I've seen the streams. Because, like, you know, once again. You're the default, man. For me, it was Hot Wheels and then it was something else. I don't remember. Here's what would happen, okay? If you put all the guns. GNR is number one. GNR is number one. Number two. If you put all of GNR's lights on a white wood, okay, and you didn't know what it was, you would still say this is the best light show. Yeah. You just would. Then if you had a white wood of Rick and Morty, you'd be like, that's really close and pretty good, my opinion. I know Hot Wheels looks good. You haven't seen Hot Wheels either in person. That's true. So I'll default to you. We'll go Hot Wheels. This is your vote. It's fine. Rick and Morty is going third. I don't think America's going to get a lot of love, so let's give them a little love. That's fine. All right. Rick and Morty from Spooky. How do you guys think? Do you think we're doing it? Well, our choices are the best. I mean, have you met us? Fliptronic, what are you saying? What are you saying, Fliptronic? The gear shift and red light light shows in Hot Wheels is fantastic, and it is, 100%. All right. So I agree with you, man. Yeah, the red light. Fucking badass when I did that. All right. Best toys and gimmicks. Again, this kills me every year because I don't think we have a standout toy. The crane. Heist. My man. Come on, man. Heist. No. It's an easy one. No, it wasn't. That's what I voted. Let me tell you this. That's what I voted. I voted for Heist. I will be totally honest here. Okay. Okay. When I was looking at this. I forgot about Heist as far as the toys and stuff because, once again, I haven't been in front of one. And you're right. There weren't a lot of toys this year. That was a problem. Like, there really wasn't. They stand out every year. It's a pain in the ass to get a good toy. Stranger Things had the projector. Okay, fine. Interesting. Yeah. You know, a lot of people argued Turtles because Turtles had the most on it. It did have quite a few things. It was all little shit. It has the van. It has the crane. No, sure, sure. Crane, you know, jumped up and down. I mean, my premium is pretty cool. The van is pretty cool. Everything on there is pretty neat. But, yeah, that crane is way better than all those toys. So second for me. Pinball nerds, I agree with you 100%. Crane is by far least in bounds. Yes. Friggin' bounds. Friggin' bounds. And that is what I voted for, too, is Heist by Multimorphic. They should win that this year because that crane is not just a crane, right? We're not talking Last Action Hero. Yeah, that crane was cool, but it was like... This thing's killer. It does everything. And you know what? What's really nice about that is when Jerry went on Kaneda's show and talked about his upcoming project and how he has the best toy in pinball, and Kaneda kind of brushed him off a little bit, I'd say. Yep. And then he bust out fucking Heist, and yes, he did it. No, I agree. Good job, Heist. What's number two, buddy? Turtles. Turtles we go with? Yeah. And then the third, you know, you could say Avengers with the spinning disc and the subway lock. I mean, it's okay, but. I'll go Stranger Things for the Stranger Things. It's cool. I've played in L.E. in person, and it's neat. I'm going to go with it. What do you think, Drew? I'm good with that. Good? I'm good with that. GNR guitar lock? See, I haven't played a GNR. That's the problem. God damn it, Jersey Jack, this is my issue with you. I just don't think that's enough of a toy or a gimmick for me. The amount of stuff that's on GNR as a collection is probably the most impressive out of all of them. Sure. However, not one stands out like the crane does for Multimorph. Turtles has a bunch of stuff, too, though. Yeah, I could see Guns N' Roses. Which one would I rather have, Guns N' Roses or Stranger Things? Yeah, Guns N' Roses. Oh, yeah. All right, we'll go to Guns N' Roses number three. You have convinced me, GNR, by far. Okay. You guys, this is why I need you. So now this is where I struggled a lot, too, because now you have. So we're up to. GNR just has, like, five things. Okay. Fuck you, Tim. My name is Tim Lee. I'm an L.E. Five great things. You're right. You're right, Sheriff. You're right. All right. Okay. Theme integration. So. First choice, Drew. Okay. This is a very close race between Guns N' Roses and Rick and Morty. Right? Ooh. Because. I thought it was a runaway. But it's not. I know. Because, once again, we're not talking about, if we're just talking total pinball experience. I thought it was Hot Wheels. It's not. It should be. It's not. Okay. Maybe number three. If you're just talking pure pinball experience, yeah, Guns N' Roses probably goes far and away. But now we're talking about how did they integrate the theme into the pin. Fliptronic Hot Wheels. Fliptronic, what is it with you and Hot Wheels, bro? Fliptronic, it's a fine game. There's nothing wrong with Hot Wheels. However. Do you start that game with your penis? What is going on, Fliptronic? What is happening right now, Fliptronic? I've started a game. Jesse Jays says Rick and Morty. Theme integration, Guns N' Roses, Hot Wheels. So, you guys are just going to help us decide. I'm going to fall down on play field. GNR. It's either GNR or Rick and Morty for number one. GNR. GNR. Hot Wheels. Hot Wheels is not part of this conversation. Half trolling, half serious. Half penis in a game is what you're saying, Fliptonic. Which is the equivalent to two-spot penis. Rick and Morty. See, there's love for both, man. There's love for both. So, I could flip a coin. They're both integrated very well. Yeah, but you know what, though? You got the concert experience. I'm going to argue with you, brother. Okay. Rick and Morty doesn't hold the candle to Guns N' Roses for the following reasons. One, there is an entire spotlight light show that accompanies that game. Not only do you have that, but you have drumsticks. You have a whole freaking side of a guitar. You have freaking the skeleton of Axl singing. There is everything in there that just screams GNR. And then Rick and Morty, if you look at it, you've got the thing on the spring, the garage door. You have a good light show. And I love Spooky, but there's no comparison when you put those side by side. There just isn't. I mean, to be honest. You won me over with that. You're right. Guns and Roses. It's not even close. I'll give it number two, though. I'll give it number two. No, well, just because of the way they integrated the show. Rick and Morty is a good number two, guys. Best thing number three is Hot Wheels, easily flip-tronic. I get it. My penis is in there, too. Yeah. Stick your penis in there. Hopefully it gets chopped off. Okay. Drink your Jager and shut up. Best music and sound effects. Is that the sound you make or the sound your wife makes? The sound my machine makes. Take it as you will. All right. Best music and sound effects. First choice. Now, here again, this is kind of like the Rick and Morty argument. You're doing this again. Well, I have to. It's a real thing. Guns N' Roses is a pre-established library of music, so merely sticking that in the game is that best music. So shut up. It's GNR. Okay. It is no GNR. It has never been more GNR. I always love the underdogs. I am an underdog. It's been GNR since GNR was announced. I know. I know. Best music, and you're going to go, you're trying to argue spookies? No. No. I can't. GNR. I don't even want to vote for a second or third on that one. Best music and sound effects. Heavy metal. Heavy metal. How about Turtles? Ooh, actually, the music and sound effects are good in there. Way to go, Jerry Thompson. Way to save the day. Heavy metal. I don't even know a heavy metal song, do you? I saw the animation, like the movie. Oh, yeah, yeah. Like the 80s? Yeah. Best cost. Now you can talk about Rick and Morty, bro. Oh, yeah. Best call-outs. Rick and Morty. Yeah. Do you guys agree? Rick and Morty. They're swearing. Best call-outs. Yeah, they're custom. No, there's, yeah. It's not even close. No. Rick and Morty for the win. Anyone who votes for Guns N' Roses for that, sorry, I haven't played Guns N' Roses, but no, it's just not. I think they're trolling you. Now they're saying stranger things for best call-outs. What is happening here? All right. We don't need a second or third for that one. Fuck that. It's Rick and Morty. And Fliptronic is saying Hot Wheels? No. The best call outs? I don't know. Mutteritaville. Real question. Should I trade my Whitewater for Iron Maiden? Or is that Iron Man? Iron Man or Iron Maiden, dude? Mutteritaville. Josh, let us know. Iron Maiden, yes. Iron Man, no. Best call outs. I'm going to keep going. I'm sorry. I will say... say. Best call-outs. Avengers isn't very good. Turtles, eh, it's okay. I do like Marc Silk, who did the voices for Turtles. Alright, perfect. That's all I need. That's cool. Marc Silk did a great job. Best rules. This is where I struggle, because even when I own the game, I don't know the rules. Iron Maiden. Yeah. Smash Mod. Iron Maiden or Whitewater. If you could do a straight-up swap for a pro, that'd probably be worth it. I mean, you'll have a lot of fun with Iron Maiden. I mean, it's a horse apiece. They're both great games. They're both very different games, very different playing games. Josh put a shit ton of money into his Whitewater because he had Troy North. Yeah, I mean, I guess for, yeah. Tip it out. Knowing that, like, you might want to be able to try to get a premium for that, But there's not much in the premium versus the pro. No, there's not. There's not. The thing lifts up. You've got an extra lock. He's got a pimped out version, Whitewater. I would just, if you don't like it, Josh, I'd try to sell it and get some bank, and then I would buy a pro. And I would buy whatever you want. I'd buy a pro Iron Maiden if you want. Yeah. Iron Maiden flips probably, you know, it does. It does flip better than Whitewater. However, and it's got the animations, and it's got some killer music. And much like Elwin's games, you know, all of his games, like... Yeah, Iron Maiden is better. It just is. It is. I like Whitewater a lot, too, but Iron Maiden is the better game. Yeah. Shit. Yep, you're right. It's going to shoot your fucking ass off, and you're going to love it. It's going to make you a better player, too. Mm-hmm. And it's a fantastic game. Yep. One of my favorite shooting games. And I like Whitewater a lot. Mm-hmm. All right, so best rules here. Fliptronic, let me know if you need a Hot Wheels rules breakdown so you can make an informed decision. Fliptronic, you got to get your dick out of Hot Wheels for real, man. I don't know what's happening here. I love you, bro. I love you so much, Fliptronic. You know what? Like, I like American Pinball a lot, but now I'm sitting next to Ian, who, like, makes love to his Oktoberfest every night. I got Fliptronic here telling me the Hot Wheels are the second coming. American Pinball is amazing. And why doesn't someone just chime in and tell me a Houdini is going to suck my dick or something? I want a Houdini. I'm not good, though, at pinball. Then that's the wrong game for you, my friend. Sam, best rules to Stranger Things. But you guys are shit on us. But I don't know much. I have not played a Stranger Things. So here's the thing. Have you played a Stranger Things? Yes, I have. Oh, cool. I don't know enough. Dwight's rule set on Turtles is very straightforward. It's very easy to understand. It's a very good rule set because it's good. You know, tournament players are trying to get to Cowabunga. You know, regular players are trying to complete episodes. Oh, my God. Every time you pour that, I shiver. This is for my Australian friends. What else? I don't know. I was just, uh, there you go. Uh, guns and roses. When I understand, you know, it's a lot of multi balls, you're starting songs. That's kind of cool. Uh, Avengers is kind of like Keith Elwin's other games where the cool thing about Avengers is every shot you make goes towards something. Right. You know, I'm like some games where like some games you shoot a shot, you literally get nothing, but like Elwin makes it. So every shot gets you something. Um, oh it's the best rules what about rick and morty rick and morty how deep did eric ep the geek has fucking coded this shit out of that game you start uh this shit out of the game uh the game literally you go to different dimensions which is very cool um actually that is that is a cool thing because then you start episodes not episodes but what is it? Hot Wheels, I will tell you this, the Hot Wheels, the rules on that are so simple, and I know the fucking rules, Flipchronic. Don't even talk to me. But I found the rules easy to understand. Easy to do. It was a little tedious. Not even tedious. It was flat out boring after a while. I'm just going to say it. I'm going to totally eliminate Hot Wheels. Sorry, Flipchronic. I know you love it. But this is, I'm going to have to pass on that. And Heist, this is one of those scenarios where I wish more people played Heist. I would love to know because that game looks awesome. The rule set on that game. But we're not talking about the story. The story is good. But the rules go with it, though. I know, but I'm just saying, like. How you play is the rule. So for me, it's Guns N' Roses, Rick and Morty, Avengers, and Turtles. Stranger Things. So what's first? Well, no, no, I'm saying these are the four I got to kind of decide from. You know what? I'm going with my boy Eric Rick and Morty Eric Kripke You win best rules of the year Tim I love that Drew is pretending to know the rules I also love it when Drew pretends to be friends with Tim Lee Okay, moving on More on that later folks Alright, told you first choice We're going to go Rick and Morty It is a good rule set. Eric's been a guest a couple times. We're a little biased. We love that man to death. And then I will say Turtles because Turtles is very straightforward. You shoot two ramps, you can start an episode. I feel like people don't like the rules to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. What's number two, guys? Come on. I kind of dig the rules. What's number two? Avengers is great. Avengers is insane with the gemstones. Avengers is very complex. complex. Avengers, Hot Wheels needed a loop at the very minimum. GNR has great rules, but you have to see past the multi-balls. Didn't know there was rules in pinball? I thought you just drink and flip. Tony Scoots, now you're talking, brother. Best rules, drink and flip. The best rule set is for my game. My pinball machine I call Brick. All you gotta do is brick and you get points. All you gotta do is hit the shot. Oh, you got to do it. You deduct points when you hit ramps and cool toys. You only get major points when you hit the fucking bricks. Brick. It would take me two seconds to code that fucker. All right. I will say number two because I'm taking over this. Oh, the amount of work they put into all this stuff. We'll go Avengers. No. We'll go GNR. It's a good real set. All right. Best Playfield Gameplay and Layouts. Avengers. Really? Yeah. I'm not going to even. That game. What do you guys think about Best Playfield? I think the reason I kind of got over that game is only because, you know, they threw all the Avengers in there. It was kind of like, I don't want to say generic, but it was in a way. Does that make sense? Yeah. Because, like, you know, Deadpool, it was Deadpool. You know, it was the world of Deadpool. You know, I'm just thinking of all their Marvel pins. You know, Guardians of the Galaxy was obviously. We got a lot of Avengers love. Sure. We got some G&R love. But my point is. We got Turtles love. Once again, you know me, I'm always like, you strip away everything, you have a whitewood. That game is the best to shoot, hands down, period, the end, Avengers. All right, so I've played Avengers. It's one of the games, a few games I've played on this list. Feel good. Maybe someday I'll come over to my house again. It's been a rough year, man. Does that feel good? Sorry. Can I massage you on the air? It's been a long day. Is that okay? All right. Is this getting weird, guys? No, not at all. Just let me know when it gets really weird. Lower. Let me grab my penis. This is crazy. All right. You know what? Best gameplay. I heard you. All right. Avengers. Yeah, it's Avengers. It's Pete Elwin. Pete Elwin. Number two. I got to go with my boy, John Borg. Turtles. Turtles. Yeah. Oh, it's a great layout. It's fun. it's brutal but it's fun and then I might have to argue with you Hot Wheels is a good layout dude I wish I would have been there to play that Hot Wheels shoots like a fucking just bottom it's good from what I see bye Jesse J we love you bye Jesse we can agree it's not Rick and Morty sorry Scott it's not Stranger Things It's Turtles, Guns N' Roses, or Hot Wheels. Oh, man. What are we at, number two? All right. So we can, one of these three is not like the other. God, I wish I could play Turtles. I think it's really between Turtles and Hot Wheels. Okay. Well, you can choose whatever you want. I haven't played Hot Wheels. I'm going Hot Wheels, and then I'll go Turtles. That's fine. Turtles looked a little. All right. Best artwork. Well, this is easy. How many games did Zombie Yeti do? All of them. You did two? Yeah. That's brutal because there's three choices. I know. I know. I'm a bigger fan of Turtles than Avengers, so I just have to go with Turtles. Turtles. I'm a bigger fan of Turtles, too. Yeah. Than Avengers. Than Avengers. Oh, Star Wars Comic Art. Number three, baby. That's the first time I got in there. They didn't put in the other ones, though. That's cool. Number three, Star Wars Comic Art. If you guys haven't seen the Star Wars Comic Art in person. I might put that above Avengers. Okay. Yeah. As much as I love Zombie Yeti, I think that's a... Ooh, I might even put that above Turtles. You're crazy, man. It is beautiful. That's a good R package. You guys think we're nuts? No, I don't know, man. I really dig that. Remember what we were talking about? That almost made us buy the fucking game. I know. It was like such a busy R package that it makes the game full. Like a year ago. We were like, Star Wars, this game sucks. There's nothing in it. And then all of a sudden, the Star Wars comic edition, we're like, that game looks really good. It's packed. Same game. We're bad. Yeah. God damn. No, I'm good with that. No, Zombie Yeti is going to win the day. Teen Turtles, Star Wars comic book edition, and then Avengers. Yeah, that's a good list, man. That's still a hot take. So, Stern, even though I ragdolled you earlier with your art. One more time Hey there all my cheese slices Yeah you got to load it up and then we ready to go That stupid That stupid I don know how it works Why don't you get this tech stuff going? Game of the year. Oh my god, we're already at game of the year. What are we gonna do, Drew? Game of the year. What was the best game of the year? What blew your fucking mind when you saw it? Turtles was good when I saw it. Turtles was... Jack Rabbit says GNR. You know what? I'm not choosing GNI. Tim says Turtles. Homer, EBW, GNI. I'm revising this again. I'm telling you guys. So I said several times that... Now, Drew has the tiebreaker, guys. He can veto us all. If Avengers and Turtles would have came out at the same time, I would have bought the Avengers Premium. That just would have happened. I know myself. But now that I've had ample time on both, I think Turtles is a better game. Hot take. I really do. It's getting hot in here, kids. Even when I first started playing Avengers, I was like, oh, yeah, I wish I would have got this instead of Turtles. No. No, Turtles is a better game. Ooh. I'm going Turtles. Game of the year. That is crazy. Turtles. Well, what do you think? It's not Guns N' Roses. I was going to say Guns N' Roses. I know a lot of people are going to say that, but it's not. Most of the TPN streamers want to sell their Turtles, Fliptronic. I want to sell mine, too, but that's just one other shit. I mean, it's... Remember, guys, this is the game of the year. Jack Graffit, fucking Turtle. Hang on. Jack Graffit, I'm listening to you, man. This is the game of the year, not the game of all time. Of this year. Yes, that's the game of the year. You think that's the best game that came out this year? Yes. You're crazy. But, with that being said, this is what I'm saying. It's GNR, right, guys? This is what I'm saying, though. I'm still probably going to get rid of Turtles and get something else, but not from this year. So, nope, I'm sticking with Turtles. Best game of the year. It's good. Flipping out pinball. Teenage Mutant Turtles isn't going anywhere. Avengers LE left today with STI. Wow. All right, so Avengers. Oh, yeah, we sold it to Avengers. Congratulations. Homer and GW are no longer friends. Guns and frickin' roses. Sell, sell, sell. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Tim, rules, art, and layout are awesome, but music and call-ups and animations are blah. For which one? I'm assuming that's Billy Yeager, and I'm assuming he's talking about Turtles. Yeah. Avengers, let's be honest. Do we think? Well, I think. This is really, really getting dramatic, guys. So hang on. I'm biting my nose. Hang on. Let's step back for a second. I don't give a fuck. Regardless of what I think, because everyone hates my opinion, which is fine. I'm used to it. That's why they tune in. Mm-hmm. What do we think? Who are going to be the top two? It's going to be GNR and Avengers probably, right? I think the vast majority of people probably are going to go that route. One of those two. Heist is out. Hot Wheels is out. Yeah. Rick and Morty is out. Stranger Things is out. Stranger Things is out. Heavy Metal. Out. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, Flip N Out Pinball, how many heavy metals have you sold? Oh, that's a tough one. Yeah, but that's what I'm saying, right? It's going to be between G&R and Avengers, probably. Yeah. That's my guess. I mean, I'm going Game of the Year is going to be G&R. To me, that brings the masses. You think there's no question, though? I don't have a doubt in my mind. Not you personally, but you think the masses are just going to vote for G&R. I think Avengers is going to win, quite honestly. Yeah, more people own an Avengers. That's the problem. I think. That's the stern thing. I think. Absolutely. Look what happened last year. Remember, Willy Wonka only got like 10% of the vote. Jurassic Park got like 50. Well, Jurassic Park shot better than Willy. Oh, yeah. Although I like Willy. Yeah, absolutely. Willy's a fantastic game. No, they're both good games. All right, dude. I'm still sticking to my guns and roses. Ah, I see what you did there. Finger guns. Yeah. And roses. And then third, Avengers. First, we're going to go Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. because it's his baby. I get it. It's a fun game. It's whatever. Fuck you guys. No, it's okay. It's your show. It's your show. This is called the Drew Pinball Podcast. Duh. I just sit here to look pretty. All right. He's my eye candy. Oh, next, the drama category. Oh, Zach, you better leave. Zach, you're not welcome here. So here's when it gets personal, and we don't want to get personal here. But we love personality. Oh, we're going to. We do. We do. Or we're drinking. We don't care. But we do love everybody. But, Kerry Hardy, hang on. These are our friends. I am going to reiterate. I'm glad you made the drop-down menu. Not in podcasts, though, motherfucker. I'm not sure how that happened. Shame on you, sir. Well, I've listened to every podcast you've had, and they've been good. And I've watched almost every video you've made, and those are great. They're amazing. Yes, I love your videos. I hump the TV screen daily. You're a good-looking man. he's even better looking in person guys but really? much like me how many wasn't there like a limit? no because they had like criteria yeah he must have just man he had some fans Kerry this is Drew the nicest man in pinball officially calling you out yeah that's bullshit bro Kerry I don't know how many dickheads my phone number is 414 you're going to call me we're going to talk sorry anyway later let's go favorite pinball streamer okay and again and I'm going to reiterate. There's no loss here. Yes, we know most of these people. A couple of them are in chat right now, so this is going to make it awkward. Yeah, and we've been on somebody who didn't even make it, and it's fine. Fliptronic, your dick's stuck in Hot Wheels right now? That's cool. So Fliptronic is a stream that I have just recently discovered. Yeah. And I love Fliptronic. You do a great job, but you're not going to win this. Sorry. We love you, but you're not going to win. Dad Flip wins every year, and there's a reason why he wins every year. Papa TV Pinball, I didn't know Papa even streamed. They do all their tutorials. They do their tutorials, but I know them as more of a YouTuber personality. Sure. Lippin' Out does a fantastic job streaming. They do. They do. Fox Cities Pinball. They're local boys here from Wisconsin. Fox City's? Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah, they do some good stuff. IE Pinball does great. They all do great stuff. Buffalo Pinball. I mean, I've seen, I haven't seen Flip France. I can't say I've seen them all. Yeah, Flip France, I've not heard you've heard of. Buffalo Pinball, they came close last year. What do you guys like? What's your favorite, man? Because to be honest, I don't watch. Can you take over the comments? Yeah. Because I got like the stupid thing where it cancels it. Sorry about that. So what were you going to say, Drew? When I'm watching streams, because I don't watch a lot for the personalities on the stream, just because I don't watch a lot of streams. So me personally, when I'm trying to find a stream, it's for a specific game. Right. Does that make sense? Yeah. No. So like, obviously I know who all these people are. I've watched a little bit of just about all of them. Yep. But for me, when I watch streams, I'm seeking out a certain game for a certain reason. So I'm not the foremost expert on streaming. So I'm going to default to you on this one. Okay. Well, if I was going to just count how many times I've been on each stream this year. Because I've seen each one a couple of times at least. We'll go Flip N Out Pinball number one. And that's a new one for me because usually I'm on Deadflip. Deadflip's number two. The reason why I'm going that way is because Flip N Out Pinball has had some pretty killer new games on their streams. And I'm actually loving them. Deadflip, Jack does a major. He's just a great personality to watch. And then third choice, I'm going to go with Fox Cities Pinball. If you've not seen those guys, they are hilarious. And we met them in person, and they're amazing. Yeah. They're dear, personal friends of ours. Favorite pinball podcast? I think we should skip that, right? Well, all right, fine. Let's go. Four Man's Pinball Podcast, number one. Anything But Canada, number two. Damn, you're so faulty. No, I'm not. I'm not. No, seriously. So this is where it gets really weird because whoever we choose, the other guys aren't going to talk to us, right? No, no, it's fine. Hey, hey, we're all friends here. We can do this objectively, subjectively, however. Backbox, bro, final round, and the Jersey Jack. All right, I'll just say it. Jersey Jack pinball podcast. I don't say it. I don't care. I love Ken. Ken and I are, I wouldn't say great friends, but I do say that we communicate every once in a while, and he's always been a stand-up guy, and I love Ken. But that, to me, is a commercial. So I just do not do the Jersey Jack Pinball Podcast. Pinball Profile, I just don't listen to it as much as I should. No, I don't. I listen to Kaneda more just because he's my asshole. I listen to – hang on, let's go through. He's my asshole. Yeah. Kaneda's Pinball Podcast I listen to religiously. Jersey Jack, he doesn't put out that many, so I listen to those. Super Awesome Pinball Show, I listen to that. I listen to Franchise. Pinball show I listen to every week. Final round, I'm not in the tournament, so I just don't. Kerry Hardy, I told you I have listened to all your two podcasts that you've done. Have you listened to... Kerry Hardy asked you after removing from podcasts he couldn't. All right, Kerry Hardy, we love you again. Yeah, you're back in the good graces. Brody even talked pinball. I just haven't listened to them recently just because I haven't. I love them. They're more of a streamer to me than a podcast. Yeah, for sure. But when I first got into pinball four years ago, I listened to them incessantly. Right. Everything. So I guess poor man's number one, easily. Yeah. Like, not even close. Number two is like, whatever. They're not even going to win anyway. It'd be the pinball show, probably. Do you think Christopher Franchi, Chris Kularis, and Zach Menny are all sitting there biting their nails now? I don't know what. Because we're such influencers. You're right. We can't do it. We can't do it. Oh, I'm doing it. Then you do it. I can't. I'm too much of a pussy. I love all of them, and I don't want to hurt anyone. My favorite pinball podcast, second choice. The Hardy Pinball Podcast. It's happening, folks. Just because we love Carrie so much. We're moving on. All right. We're not going to do two and three for that. Favorite pinball YouTube channel that's easy for me. How about you? Me, it's straight down the middle of Pinball Show. I watch his stuff. I love Zach and Greg to death. That one guy. Bits and pieces. They touch. They look at each other. That one guy. They have that connection that you and I have. That one guy with the goatee always weirds me out on there. And they look deep into each other's eyes. So good. And it's just like. And then Zach says something bad about Greg's mom. And then I sit there and I go, aw. He's going to blame Greg's mom. When he talks about me and Craig's mom, that is fucking hilarious. I got to admit. Ooh, favorite. I'm actually tossed up now between. I watched TNT, I watched Drake on the Middle, and I watched Carrie Hardy. Those are my three favorites. No, actually, those are the ones I watched quite frequently. So we have to just get them in a, I think TNT's been doing this a long time. TNT. And I love Carrie Hardy, and I love you, Carrie, because you do some really technical shit. I'm okay with that. To be honest, you're better than TNT because you actually show us what you do. But, Zach Many, you need to talk about the Poor Man's Pinball Podcast more often. That's a poor dicks. Yeah. Ooh, he didn't say poor dicks. Too many times. Let's knock him down a bit. No, I'm kidding. That's a good list. All right. Let's go back to that. So straight down the middle, TNT Amusement, Cary Hardy. I'm good with that. You good with that? Yeah. We love you, Cary. We love you, TNT. And we love you, Zach. All right. Favorite pinball mod of 2020. Ooh, pinball mods. See, this one gets kind of... It's so weird. I know. Do you guys even give a shit? You know what? Can we just skip this? Yeah, I haven't seen enough of these because, like... What are flipper cooling fans? So, Pin Monk, he is the guy on Pinside. He sells the little fan mods to make your sterns quiet. Okay. He does a lot of cool things. So I'm assuming that has something to do with some flipper coils that are getting too hot. But everything Pin Monk does is pretty cool. But I don't know enough about all of them, so we're skipping it. I'm going to skip that one. Favorite pinball website? I almost want to skip this, too. It's the same. Pinside's going to win. Our boy over at pinballprices.com didn't get on, but I go there more than I do Pinside. Sure. And then, you know, follow us on Pinside. We've kind of given up on Pinside. But if you guys are on Pinside and notice that the poor man hadn't been posting, I don't know. I don't post much on there. Do you guys notice when we're not there? This Week in Pinball is probably where I go the most on that list. All right. That would be great. Favorite pinball publication? I don't do any of that. Pinball. Favorite pinball location? I've always hated it. It's such a stupid thing. It's just like if you live in Chicago and you never leave Chicago, why are you going to vote for some place in New York? And the virtual event was tough because. I mean, Expo's cool, but yeah, I don't have time. You don't have time either. Jeff Patterson, I know you listen to us religiously. We got to fix some of these categories. Well, you know, some of these were pretty popular. No, they are, but... So Stern's Heads Up Pinball Invitational, Pin Slash, Porn-topia, Selfie Tournament was huge. I didn't see any of these. The Virtual Pinball Expo was huge. Virtual Southern Fried Gaming Expo. The California Extreme 2020 Online. and Northwest Pinball Summer Camp, and the Virtual Battle of the Bells. I'm going to go Virtual Battle of the Bells, and then I'm going to go the Quarantopia, and the third place will be the Virtual Pinball Expo. And that's just how it's going to go. Okay. All right, favorite pinball topper of 20. What, did Zach Menny still have his claws and swippies? What happened here? Why are we doing toppers? Well, because they have, remember, they have released a lot of toppers. That should have been the first page. Yes. Yeah, that's true. No, they did release a lot of toppers this year. You can see them right there. They got A Virus House of Horror, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Avengers, Jurassic Park, Rick and Morty, and the new boys on the block, J.J.P. Habit Elite Top. I can't believe they got out. That's crazy. It's very cool. So, no, this one's important. So, I think I couldn't stomach to pay for it unless Zach's going to give me a very, very steep discount. Bye from flipping out pinball today. I'm glad he gives you a steep disc. Yeah. Oh, a steep disc. I get what you did. Yeah. Black Knight Sword of Rage. Oh, that was last year, dude. Bye from flipping out pinball today. Give me a deal. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. That was a cool topper. With the eye. The only problem was, it was... We killed it. Are you fucking kidding me? Oh, that's terrible. I'm going to die tomorrow, aren't I? It's gone. We killed it. We killed the bottle. Yeager. The bottle of Yeager is gone. To be fair, it was a little bottle, but still. So, no, the Turtles topper was cool, but it was $1,000. That's a problem. That's a big problem for a guy like me. I would look at that thing every day and just... I don't even know. What? As far as... If I bought one of those toppers, okay? To me, it'd be Elvira's. Like, whatever. It's gorgeous. It's a work of art. They look great. I don't even care about the whole plastic argument. I don't care so much about Avengers. Turtles is probably really cool. Turtles is very cool. I've seen the video that I think Streak on the Middle did. Yes, very cool. The Rick and Morty one was kind of neat. It was free. That was really cool. It was free. But I just can't stomach the prices. It doesn't matter. We're not voting for prices. Okay, then Turtles. If you have a million dollars in your pocket, you can afford one machine, one stopper, I mean. Turtles it is. You're going Turtles number one? Yeah. Over Elvira's? That one didn't do it for me as much. I like the Turtles. You can go Elvira's number two. That's number three. We'll go Habit Elite because I want to support the little guy. It is very cool. Homebrew. Coming up. These are tough. Mm-hmm. Did you even see all these? Yeah, I did. I looked at them. Yeah. So we have Aladdin by Will. Mm-hmm. Mad Max by Kurt. We have Steamboat Willie by Craig. That's very cool. It's a very cool game. The Crazy Mansion by the Pinball Amigos. The Pinball Amigos do some serious shit. Dragon Ball Z by Wise... Something, something. Don't care. Sonic the Hedgehog's Spinball by Ryan McQuaid Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past by Wildertronics so here's the thing obviously we haven't played any of these, these are all based on pictures right? and last year at the expo I didn't see any of these so I can't I can't tell you so what theme gets you the most out of those? out of those Mad Max is cool, but I don't like what they... I feel like that is just a re-theme. That's a re-skin. It is. I don't know if that's a custom. I don't know why that should be in the homebrew. Well, homebrews... Re-themes are homebrews. I don't like re-themes then. No, I'm going to go Sonic then because it's a full thing, man. Yep. Sonic's number one. He put some serious work into this. I'm a big fan of this. I like the big fat... Well, to be fair, a lot of those guys put in a lot of work. I should be very fair. It's not easy doing any of this. Yeah. Retheming an entire game into whatever. But to your point. I'm an idiot. Don't worry about me, kid. To your point, Sonic the Hedgehog. I drank a whole bottle of Yakes. He didn't retheme it. He started from the ground up. And that thing looks awesome. What's that? Sonic. Sonic and also Steamboat. Steamboat Willys. Yep, number two. So for me, it's Sonic, Steamboat Willy, and then Legend of Zelda. Because I'm a big fan of Link to the Past. See, I'd look at this Pinball Amigos because this is a serious-looking machine here. Look at the Rudy heads. All right. So I get what you're saying, and I agree. So we'll go Sonic number one, and he should win. He should, and he will. He's had a lot of buzz the last couple of years. Steamboat Willie, great job. And what was your third? Legend of Zelda, Link to the Past. Rookie of the Year. Bug. We met Bug. Bug's a good dude. Why do they consider him a rookie now? He's been in pinball for 10 years. He's full-time now. He's full-time. Is that what it is? Our boy Ken. Ken Cromwell. Look at him. The picture this week in pinball. Mother fucker is really egging it in. All right, Ken, we love you. You still like Beatty, though. I don't know. I couldn't tell the two apart. Stephen Silver, our boy. These are all our friends at Heist. Raymond Davidson from Stern. Ray Day. Ray Day won't accept my friend request, so somebody email him and let him know. Ray Day, you're out. He's being a real prick about it. Ray Day, why don't you just be friends with the air? Jesse Jay, why don't you tell him to be my friend? Dave Jeff Brenner, our boy Dave Jeff Brenner over at AP. So, rookie of the year. This is going to be tough because, like I said, we're all best friends. you know just to be a homer we we gotta go with either bug or dave Jeff Brenner guys from wisconsin dave isn't from wisconsin but we'll we will well he lives here now bug that is tough and now he's laughing silver all right ken cromwell you've been snubbed sorry ray day you snubbed ian he snubbed you yeah you know what that's even maybe if you liked me on Facebook and be my friend? You already got another vote. Don't ghost me, bro. He's got me on... Don't ghost me. He's got me on dot, dot, dot. Submitted request. Ray Day, the bump of the year. Can't even be my friend. You know, I'd be bump of the year if it wasn't for my stupid... No, I won't say it. Sorry. All right, it's fair. It's all, man, one of those captions that's hard to do when you're drunk. Oh, man, that's terrible. Oh, God, there's shit over there. You got a one-point. Ian's doing one of those select images. He has those capsules. Oh, my God. All right, we did it. We voted for Twippy. We did it. I'm closing it down. It's done. How many hours did that take, guys? Too many. Too many. I voted Drew for Rookie of the Year. Oh, Pitbull Nerds, he's no rookie. Thanks, man. I'm always a rookie. I was fine, man. Ken, you get my vote. Jack Rabbit, you're right. Ken's cool. We love Ken. He's a good dude. He gets enough accolades. He'll be fine. He is working his dream job. Yeah. So is Bug. So is David. Yeah. So is Stephen Silver. Never mind. They all are. Rookie of the year. They're like, I don't have time for this shit anymore. I'm still a rookie. Rachel, you are. All right. So what else we got today, dude? Well, we were going to continue on with the Pinball Machine Hall of Fame. Because it's just neat. There's only like five categories. This will be quick. Yep. So, Pinball Industry Awards. I think that's it. PinballIndustryAwards.com. Yeah, we're really prepared here, folks. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. No, no. It's a website. Oh, my God. PinballIndustryAwards.com. All right. Here we go. All right. So, we're going to do this. Zach Benny and the TPN guys are doing their fantastic Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame. They said this year it's called the 2020 Pinball Industry Awards. Have you guys voted for this? But anyways, the Pinball Industry Awards, and they just want to recognize people in the industry, you know, designers, you know, engineers, people that work in the industry, people that do media. Just, you know, they just want to recognize people. But part of it was very cool because they said they wanted to have a pinball hall of fame, just like the NFL Football Hall of Fame, stuff like that. So every year they're going to have the public vote on one game from each era, 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s, and 2010s, I believe, and they'll put them into the Pinball Machine Hall of Fame. All right, cool. Here we go. We're here. We're going to start with the 1970s solid state era. So this is 1970, 1979, obviously. We're not going to go through every machine, obviously. But we're going to highlight a couple. What do you guys love in the 70 to 79 range? There's a lot of games out there. Well, two of them stood out for me. Okay, what do you got? Meteor. Yes. And Gorgar. Because Gorgar was like the first machine with speech, right? Yes. It's right there. No, I see it. Um, you know, so for me, when I voted on this, because I already did this, I voted actually. Okay. Um, I chose the game. Meteor, Gorgar, Meteor. Kind of had, kind of had the biggest, you know, impact. Okay. So, for me, it was kind of a toss up between those two. And, uh, yeah. So, for me, I chose Gorgar. Gorgar. Because first game was Speech. You know, it's kind of classic. It's just, you know, it's one of those games that everyone kind of recognizes. Gorgar. Right? I look at it, and I get fucking really excited. So. Oh, Chris Chandler. Gorgar is metal as fuck. Yes. Double dude, awkward speech. Yeah. Perfect. Perfect. All right. 80s era. 80 to 89. No, 80s. This is so. 80s started with, like, Firepower. Flash Gordon. This is so fucking easy. Yeah. Fathom. I don't know about you guys. but if laser war isn't locked in hard body if laser war isn't locked in ladies and gentlemen I am telling you right now Ian's getting animated about it everybody needs to vote laser war in do it just do it because one it'll be funny two it'll show our pinfluence and three fliptronic I'll put his dick in this one too so do it okay laser war it is okay but we can talk about other really good ones Flash Gordon is one that I really love. Viking. Embryon. Fathom. Fathom isn't a good game. Centaur is a good game. Fathom is not a good game. Let's be honest here, kids. Electra is pretty good. Eight Ball Deluxe. Limited edition, baby. Fuck. Eight Ball Deluxe is good, man. Special Force. There's another Nordman we're talking about. Special Force. Black Belt. I don't think that was very iconic. Sorry. Party Animal. Party Animal. That was another Nordman. Keep going. Secret Service. God bless it. There's a few here. Gottlieb was big. The Amazing Spider-Man. Hulk was that same time frame. So a lot of the Gottlieb games of that era. That James Bond game. As much as I wanted it, it looked shitty as shit. A lot of the games were shitty. So bad. They just were. So, yeah, I'm looking at this list. Hubert. Shit. Yeah, the list isn't great. That one's that old, huh? Mousing around, that's okay. But, yeah, some of these games. Elvira and the Party Monsters. Oh, that was the 80s. Yeah, that was late 80s. Shit, that is way fun. That is a really fun game. It is. No, that one I dig. Raven. TX-13. Terrible game. Yep. Goldwings. Really bad. I didn't know Goldwings was premier, but, yeah, now that I think about it, it was totally premier. and all the stern electronic games. Sea Witch. Yep. Big game. Quicksilver. Sea Witch is good. Stargazer. Quicksilver. Stargazer. Firepower. Firepower kind of like kicked off a whole bunch of different games. Black Knight. Alien Poker. Oh, fucking F-14. F-14, yep. Taxi. Actually, I picked Taxi on that one because... Taxi's the best. Taxi. God, those are good games. I got it. Taxi's the one, right? That's the one I chose for the 80s. You good with Taxi? I'm good with Taxi. Okay. All right. So moving on. 1990s era, 90 to 99. But you know what? Laser Wars should be there. Okay. Sorry, 90 to 99. The 90s was easy for me, too, because, once again, we're starting. Hang on. Siri F. Sorry. I'm starting a pinball club of players against Taxi. whoa what do you have against taxi let us know oh are the shots too clean is the is the gameplay too fun is the burnout not fun enough let me know okay chat so for 90s i'm gonna start a club that says i don't like you i went to sorry pinball profile thank you that that's oh mr jeff tos attack from Mars, that is exactly what I chose. That is what I chose. Because that is, like, the iconic game from the 90s, right? Yeah, Attack from Mars. Okay. So, yeah. You know, I scroll past Black Rose. I scroll past the creature from the Black Rose Lagoon. I scroll past Twilight Zone. Smart minds think alike. Yes, we do, Josh. I scroll past the Addams Family. 20,000 years. I did. I did. Attack from Mars is a game I would play forever. Well, like I said, that is the game from the 90s. I agree. 100%. So there's not. You know, Stargate? Tim Lee voted Medieval Madness? Of course you would. You would. You would. You would. Tim Lee lives in a castle, everybody. Don't listen to him. All right. He's like, that looks like my house. All right. Let's see here. Roller games. Roller games. Someone talking shit about Demolition Man. And we all can agree there was a lot of... Tony Sweet says medieval too. Really? Medieval over Attack from Mars? Come on, guys. Pick Attack from Mars. Monster Bash. No, there's a lot of good games. No, it's Attack from Mars. Hang on. Jeff T. Ellis, Pinball Profile. Trolls keep medieval madness below Attack from Mars. Yes, they do. Attack from Mars is the superior game. the call outs alone from attack from Mars yeah just killer multiple 2000's era guys 2000, 2009 now we're getting into some recent shit so 2000, 2009 this is the shit of the shit out of all these lists this is the worst list oh yeah this is the bad time this is bad time high roller casino a lot of shit in there we like high rollers There is. The Citizens Pinball Party? Killer. So there only two games on this list that are considered iconic and you just named them both Think about it right Big Bang Bar Stern White No PM Spider-Man Stern. Simpsons or Lord of the Rings? What's more iconic? Lord of the Rings. Lord of the Rings, right? That's easy. Yeah. Lord of the Rings is honestly. Do you guys have a different view on 2000 and 2009? I mean, Lord of the Rings, honestly, probably really helped bringing pinball back. Jeff Teolas, Lord of the Rings and Simpsons Pinball Party, only choices. Likely Lord of the Rings for the win. Yep, Lord of the Rings. We're so smart. Billy Y.J., yes, I would go Spider-Man as a homer, but that's just not one of the best games of the era. Billy Y.J., I hate Lord of the Rings. Well, Billy Y.J., I hate your second gift, whatever it was. Yep, Lord of the Rings. Everyone's saying Lord of the Rings, so Billy Y.J., you're down on that. 2010 through 2019. Here we go. This is like shit that's here. Houdini, Manchester United. Yeah, I didn't like this list, actually. I told you. I told you. What happened? The Big Lebowski. It was so much better 10 years ago. The Wizard of Oz? Yeah. What do you mean, yeah? Yeah. The Wizard of Oz changed a lot. It did. It did. I agree. Like, it changed the landscape quite a bit. So, what do you think in the last 10 years? What is the game? Total nuclear annihilation changed a lot of things, too. Excuse me. I'm looking for things that moved people. I know, but you... Metallica. Years and years and years of development. I went right to Metallica, not just because I love the game, but that game is one of the best-selling string games of all time. Those are the three I come up with. Now, Ghostbusters brought a shit ton of people into this hobby. It did. Ghostbusters is another one. But, guys, I am going with Metallica for 2010 to 2019. Remember, this is the Hall of Fame game. Yes. This is the game that whether you like it or hate it. Think about it this way, guys. It's like putting Deion Sanders in the Hall of Fame, right? He's got to be in there. Wizard of Oz. Those are my three that I just hold on to in total nuclear nausea. Wizard of Oz. Wizard of Oz. Let's think about this. Wizard of Oz, Metallica. It's between those two for me. So, Syrup says Metallica deserves Hall of Fame. It does deserve it. Jack Rabbit says Woz launched JJP, which is true. And launched the LCD era. Metallica or Maiden for Jeff Teolis. Metallica or Maiden. Those are both solid choices. Yeah. He's throwing Maiden in there? Dude, that is harsh. I love the game. Okay. We need a consensus on this one, guys. I'm going Metallica, but I'm buying. I'm a Woz guy. Waz over Maiden? Yeah, Waz over Maiden. What year was... Go down. What else is on this list? Thunderbirds, motherfucker. Or Full Throttle. Yeah, really. We're getting Waz, Waz, Waz, Waz. There's a lot of Waz. A lot of Waz. Okay. Waz. So we've narrowed the bracket down to Woz, Maiden, or Metallica. Tim, I own a Metallica. It's awesome. But Woz changed the game. See? Tim, you don't own a Woz. It changed the game, bro. He doesn't own a Woz. He didn't say that he owned a Woz. He never said that. I know, but he said, I own a Metallica. It's awesome. But Woz changed the game. What is this? It's tough. Woz changed it, man. I would put Woz in, 100%. And Jeff Teolis says, Metallica and code and risk reward. Yes. FD Zombie Dog, you want to play Waz over Maiden? Yeah, I don't know. I've owned Metallica and Maiden. Metallica is more deserving for Hall of Fame based on when it came out. Yes. Metallica wasn't groundbreaking. Tim, you're right. 100%. Kid. So, Waz. Okay, how about this? I'm going to win again. Waz and Metallica. I think we're going Waz. Waz for the win. I think. I think we're going Waz. It should be the Waz. Yeah, you know what? Today, Jersey Jack can't make a game as good as Waz. Waz is. Metallica was groundbreaking on play field art and pinball machine swimming. Guys, thank you out there. Thank you for letting me win. Waz for the win. Waz, Waz, Waz, Waz, Waz. You guys are outdone to me. Here's the trick. Metallica for the win. Yeah, Metallica for the win. All right. Electromechanical era. I know I have a favorite. Do you have a favorite? Electromechanical? Golf Stream. I like Golf Stream a lot. Okay, that's fine. That's a good one. Golf Stream, to me, is the epitome of the electromechanical era. You can yell at me if you want, but the artwork is the only thing that pops. Even today, that artwork still pops. It gets me going. It's my favorite art package of all time. GNR isn't as good as Waz. Wow, Billy Y.J. Hot take. There's more in Waz. Hot take. That's what I said. They have yet to make a Waz. Yeah, no one was listening to you, though. Billy was. Billy was. I love you, Billy. That's fair for Hall of Fame. Thanks, FD Zombie Dog. Yeah, I think Joker and Parker. But I would have still liked to see Metallica in there. Now, how about this? Here again. Forget what we just did here. Do you think more people are going to? Those are probably going to be in the top two or three, right? Waz and Metallica for that matter. Yeah, there's more people that owe to Metallica, but I hope more people are smart like me. Well, not really. I mean, Waz has been out for 10 years. I understand that, but I think Metallica has been sternly pumping those out for how many years? Anyone in this hobby has probably owned a Metallica at one point. Who here has owned a Metallica? Yeah, like everybody. Yeah, I'm pretty sure there will be a lot of hands raised. So many Metallicas. Move on, Jackrabbit says. So many Metallicas. Move, Tim Lee. Have you met him? Tony, Drew, give it up. Give it up. It's over. It's over. No, God damn it. Jesse Ellis, thanks for believing in me. Pinball profile. Pinball profile believes in me. What? Your best friend does not. What? Yeah, fuck you. I love you, brother. I know. All right, so who do we got next? Not much, man. I think we have one more thing. We do. This is a special segment. We'd like to call. What do we call it? The genius segment. Call it the genius segment. Sorry, Tim Lee. I guarantee you, Drew, calls me in a row to argue about Metallica versus Waz. That is a guarantee you can take to the bank, my friend. I'm going to call you tonight on my way home, motherfucker. All right. No problem, Zach Manning. We got your back. We love you, brother. What did he say? He appreciates the coverage on the Federal Industry Awards. Of course. Yeah, man. Like I said, that's a tough one, Zach. What do you go? Why do you go Metallica? That's a tough one. The whole thing that they said. That got heated. This pinball hall of fame. No, that's why I thought it was neat. Very cool. Because, like I said, it's just like your favorite players in sports. I mean, it's very cool. It's like, who should be in the hall of fame in this year? So that, to me, was like one of the coolest innovations in pinball in a while. Very neat. Yeah. Way to go, Zach. Zach and Dennis and the team over at Pinball Network. There you go. Sarah, if Metallica was so good, they made Metallica 2, Game of Thrones. Oh, no, sorry. Guardians of the Galaxy. They did. I can't argue with that. True story. I can't argue with that. I think Wise is the right answer, but I think Metallica is what I prefer. Do you think they just put John Borg's name on it, and they literally just took the CAD design and went like, boop. Point Clarky group. Yep. And they're like, okay, John Boyer, we're putting your name on this. Here's your $5,000. We're all branchy on there, make it pretty. Yeah. We didn't tweak anything. Here's your paycheck, John. Do you know who did the art at Metallica? Because that's a beautiful name. Dirty Donnie. Dirty Donnie did. Yes, he did. He did do it. So, boom. Two back-to-back great artists. Thank you, Flip N Out Pinball, for the bits. Appreciate it. Loser Kids, what up, Pinball Profile? What up, Pinball Profile? We love you. All right. So, we have one more Podcast of Genius segment. But this one is special. You say one more like we're not going to have any more. I don't know. We'll see. Can we get a drink before we do this? Can we have a little cocktail break? A little cocktail break. All right, guys. Hold on one second. We're going to actually make a serious cocktail break. When are you getting a call in life? We never even thought of that. Jesus, loser kid. That's like the greatest gold ever. Now you just got, oh, we're doing this. I'm getting a burner phone. Now I got to call Ken. Yeah, we did it. Ken's like, I saw your episode. You didn't vote for me. All right, and we're back. We're back. We're back. We're going to have a real cocktail today. Today we're going to have, on the rocks, we're going to have the Knob. Right? Some Knob. The Knob Creek. Knob Creek. I got it for Christmas. My dad gave me that. So thank you, Dad. Appreciate it. Merry Christmas, Dad. I hope everyone had a great New Year and everyone's safe and sound. And pinball, pinball, pinball. I hope you guys played some pinball. So cheers, brother. Cheers, brother. So much better. way better than the Jager. Good Lord. That is like a night and day difference. I can't believe. I mean, I know this is not the biggest bottle of Jager, but I still can't believe we tapped it out. I'm glad we did. I didn't want that sitting here collecting that. All right. All right, kids. Let's get into what I was going to tell you about. Jeff T. Ellis is egging us on. Call in line. Yes, do it. All right. Sounds good, man. And then, sorry, when you were talking about. I've introduced this thing three times. How do I do that? Get out of the call line. It's just Skype. Thanks for making us feel like idiots. Go ahead. I don't know how to hook Skype up to the freaking OBS, but I'm sure it's possible. Loser Kid 3, is that Scott or Josh? Yeah, they had a Google call number. Joshua and Lynn had a Google call number. Thanks, Josh. That's it. Okay, Josh, we'll get into that next week. We'll figure it out. We'll get it for next week, kids. Okay. All right? Go ahead. Call in line. Call in line. Call in now. All right. Here we go. So the guy who usually does the real podcast in Genius is two guys. It's Glenn, who does the singing, and then there's Tim, who does a lot of the writing. Twerk here on our chat. But this week, Glenn was sick, voice issues, so Tim stepped in. I have not heard this yet. Ian has. And we're going to call it the Tribe Members of Genius. Okay. All right? So Tribe Members of Genius, episode one. It's real short, guys, and I don't even know if anyone's going to get the joke, but I think it was pretty damn funny. Here we go. Tribe Members of Genius. Tribe Members of Genius. The Poor Man's Pinball Podcast presents Tribe Members of Genius. Today we salute you, most awesome tribe member number 12, Timmy, Drew, and Sammy! Drew, you might think Jesse is your favorite, but we all know it's just a phase. Timmy, what the hell are you doing? I'm filming the Poor Man's Pinball Podcast tribe member thing segment. Isn't that your little pinball friend, Glenn Strong? he's fixed and I'm stepping up to the plate you're an idiot you can't even speak don't don't touch that ok don't touch that couple of things I normally don't comment on this but I'm going to because I was called out oh my god I love it here's my response to all that first of all Tim very well done I honestly didn't listen to that I thought it was great, so good job. Secondarily, yes, I do appreciate Jessie J and Rachel and Therese and a lot of our female tribe members and Frieden. Who am I missing? Any? I got them all? You got the important ones. Okay. Just kidding. I don't know about that. I do appreciate them more because, you know, boobs and stuff. um but and the other thing i'll say is your wife acting sounded exactly like my wife in real life thank you do we know that was mr san or was that amy uh that was probably that was amy that was that was amy so uh i want to say that i thought that was great because that is exactly what my wife would say in real life like you talking to your fucking pinball buddies again what the fuck are you doing? It's good acting on her. Yeah. It sounded good. Because it did. And I'm sure she was acting and she did it actually. Every guy that heard that went like this. Yeah. We'll have these tribe member Zoom sessions and I'm in the office like cackling like a hyena and my wife's like, what is so funny? And Amy, the mean one. So anyways, very well done. Jack, thanks for the bits, brother. Amy and Tim, so I appreciate that. That was good. That should give it out for Tim. Thank you out there. cheese slices for Tim. Woo! No, that was good, guys. Sound effects for Glenn. Ooh, that's a hot take. Hot take, hot take. He loves Glenn. That's our boy. All right, so, so good, guys. Cool, dude. We talking about pinball for everybody. Did we get our Phil? No. Did we get our Ian and Drew Phil? Yep, but I got a couple of shill things to say before we finish up here. Let's shill some shill. First of all, thanks for the bit. Thank you for the bits. Don't forget to subscribe to the 4-Man Spinball Podcast on Twitch. You guys are able to do that. We appreciate all the bits. We stalled. It's not necessary, but it is awesome. We stalled. We were like 105. Yeah, because... That seems very low. Yes. So don't forget, subscribe to us every month. Tell your friends. Tell your friends. We appreciate all you guys. This was a lot of fun. We're glad to be back for the new year. We're in 2021 now. Season three, bitches. We can, you know, hopefully get back to some sort of normalcy. We appreciate all the new people listening. Once again, big shout-out to Tim Lee's friend, Mike. Thank you for joining us today for the first time. That's awesome. Some of the other people in chat today, Jeff Teolis, thank you for joining us again. Spread the word to all your Canadian brethren. What else? What else do you want to thank? I want to thank – Sponsors. Well, before that, Billy YJ and Pete Quint, the guys that do our social media, thank you guys so much for helping us with all that. Yes. They had some great questions this week. One of the questions was, what was your favorite episode of 2020? You know, I read that, and it was so hard because it was such a blur that I said there were some moments. And really what I wanted to do, and I still might do it. I'm transitioning my job. It's a whole thing. My life is a mess right now in a good way. But I really want to take 20 to 30 seconds from every single episode because we have so many, like, literally pants-pissing moments, right? Like, we don't do it, like, all the time every day, but, like, there's, like, 20 or 30 seconds in a lot of our episodes that are just, like, super entertaining, right? Yes. And I will be the type of guy, I will go through and listen to those, and I will pull out some stuff. Like how we saved the end user agreement? Yes. We did it! Yeah, stuff like that. And I will just say, this wasn't even 2020, this was 2019, but one of my favorite moments in this whole podcast was our roundtable discussion of Jurassic Park. Do you remember that? Yeah. It was me and Ian and Ryan Kuiper, TurboGrafx-7, and our friend Josh Seekert. Was that this year or last year? That was 2019. Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah. And when Jurassic Park had just been announced, so yeah, 2019, we had all four of us here in the studio, and we were talking about it. Ian's talking about Dinosaur Adventure Land. And there was probably like a minute or two minutes in there. And I've listened to this episode three or four times, so I know it just makes me fucking laugh every fucking time so my hope for 2021 is to get a cool clip show together for you guys audio where we can just you know plug in like i said 30 40 minutes an hour of you know just just strung together nothing fancy and you guys can just listen and be like wow these guys are idiots but they are so entertaining so i would say uh one some some things that come to mind in 2020 so 2020 was the year we transitioned to the live show and there was a lot of challenges there and we're still working on it guys we're not there yet but we're gonna get there um but the live show has been a ton of fun and it's brought a lot of fun moments to us this is a lot more fulfilling than just me and Drew getting drunk on a microphone. Now we can interact with you guys. So you guys make 2020 the best year yet, and it's going to be hard to top the excitement that we get when we go on the air on Twitch here. But I'll say one of my favorite moments of 2020 was not even on Twitch, but it was when we did our Valentine's Day episode when we talked about how Drew and I met. That's a true story, by the way. The threesome was a true story. Like, any story that we've told on Fuck It Friday, those are all true stories. True stories. None of those are, like, fabricated. What I love about that show so much is that we decided to tell that story, and we forgot that it was Valentine's Day. And it aired on Valentine's Day. And I was like, I literally texted Drew and I said, dude, did you know this was airing on Valentine's Day? And you were like, oh, my gosh, that's too funny. That was not planned. Yeah, that's good. I edited everything, and we record these things on Mondays. So when we released them, yeah, Friday was Valentine's Day. It was fucking funny. We did not plan that at all. So that was just one of those moments where 2020, it all worked out. But I think everything we've done live has been even better than that because I've been enjoying it so much. Yeah, we need to kind of find our groove. We've run into a couple of technological snags. We've run into some planning stuff where, you know, we can't edit because it's live. So, you know, it's not always perfect and polished. But I think for the most part, it's been more. We're getting better. Yeah. We're getting better. And it's been more entertaining for the mess. Hopefully. Hopefully. Everyone enjoys this. So don't forget, guys, you know, send us an email anytime, poormanspinball.gmail.com. Real quick, I do want to talk about Silver Ball Swag for a minute and not just the motor show. Oh, my God. Are we talking about the podcast shirt? So about a month ago, we recanted the story. Is that the right word? Whatever. We retold the story about our Fiverr experience. It was disgusting. We hired some guy on Fiverr from Indonesia. We didn't know he was from Indonesia. I was new to Fiverr. I was new to Fiverr. We're like, we want this pinball shirt. You know, here's the thing. He did old school logos. Yes. We wanted an old-timey feel, and he made this shirt or this logo. It was not a pinball machine. It looked like a pachinko slot machine, whatever. And the best part was it said POSCAST instead of PODCAST, P-O-S-CAST. He probably did it because that was a dick to him. And we scrapped it, obviously. Franchi was kind enough to fix it for us, and we made it. And we sold a few of those shirts. But then we told this story so many times, and people said, you need to sell the error shirt, if you will, the one that's fucked up. And we did. And so far, it has been our biggest selling shirt to date. And there is. You guys are all assholes. Go back. Listen to Jesse J's podcast, episode, Jesse J's Pinball Adventures on the Pinball Network, episode 14. It's around the 21-minute mark. So I'm going to say that again. Jessie J's Pinball Adventures, episode 14, around the 21-minute mark. She starts telling Ryan C about this shirt, and then Ryan C starts ragging on us like he does, which is fine. It was funny. But this shirt has sold so well. It's become kind of a thing. So I'm excited. So anyways, go to SodaBoss. They can buy it. Limited edition. End of the month, it's done. Yeah, so you guys can buy it until the end of this month. I know people want the mug. Maybe the mug will come later. But the shirt, this run of shirts, I honest to God, I will burn the fucking file. You're done. Go to Silver Bell Sway. I will not do it. You can buy all of our stuff, but specifically buy this one. It's fun. It's neat. I need to buy some. I'm going to buy some just to. You would. Yeah. Flex's edition. Why not? So it's limited edition. When you say that in pinball, people go, I got to get it. Got to get it. Limited edition. That's a thing. So anyways, just another cool story from 2020. And then I want to just throw out a pretty huge, huge fucking announcement. I'm not going to do the full announcement here. But Drew and I have been working on something that in the past four months that we are extremely proud about, we're very excited about. And I think what we're going to do is we're going to record a episode, not live, but we're going to have a prerecorded podcast. Spoiler alert, this is a really serious thing we're doing. Yep, yep. We'll do it on, we'll release this on the 15th. So next week, Friday. It won't be a fucking Friday episode. It'll be a legit thing that Drew and I have been working on. It'll be an audio form. So if you're listening to us on our podcast, please make sure you tune into that episode. It will be a special announcement. Again, like I said, Drew and I have been working on this for months. This is not the kilts. And this is exactly why Ian looked so damn tired the last 12 podcasts. It's been a slog. We've actually been working really hard behind the scenes. Yes, we've worked really hard on this, and we're really hoping this will help change the pinball landscape. This isn't a media thing. This is an everybody can partake thing, and I think people can make careers with pinball machines. So we're going to make an announcement on the 15th. So we're really, really excited, and I think it's a great idea. So we'll see you then. You guys excited? I hope so. I'm excited. Well, we'll see you next week, hopefully. Yeah, well, next week, Monday, same shit. We're going to get drunk and be stupid. Monday won't be serious. No, Monday will be stupid. But Friday will be serious, and we'll talk about what we have planned and what we're releasing. So hope you guys all get excited about that. Drew, do you have anything else? No, just that I appreciate all you guys from 2020. Yes, thank you. We're in 2021 now. And don't forget to tell people about us. Don't be shy. Yeah, yeah. Don't be shy. Plug it. We're pretty cool. You know, we want – oh, and I want everyone – hang on. I was thinking about this actually earlier, and I forgot to put this in the notes. So just for fun, I'm sure – are most of you guys friends with Ryan C? on Facebook. Here's what I want you guys to do. This is your homework assignment. Ian loves when I give people homework assignments. She's giving the homework assignment again. So, if you're friends with Ryan C., great. You can already participate. If you're not friends with Ryan C., I want you to friend Ryan C. on Facebook, okay? This is what I want you to do. I want you to send him a Facebook Messenger post. And all I want to say is, I listen hashtag poor man's pinball podcast. That's it. Okay? You ready for this?
