## Analysis

Cary Hardy tests the Pin Snake, a flexible segmented cleaning tool designed to thread cloth through difficult pinball playfield areas. He demonstrates its use on Deadpool and Foo Fighters machines, finding it effective for most areas (orbits, in-lanes, out-lanes) but noting limitations with sharp turns. Hardy concludes it's a worthwhile addition to his cleaning kit despite some handling challenges.

### Key Claims

- [HIGH] The Pin Snake successfully cleans hard-to-reach areas like orbits and in-lanes/out-lanes on pinball machines — _Hardy demonstrated functional use on Deadpool and Foo Fighters machines; tool threads through lanes and around orbits effectively_
- [HIGH] Pin Snake has difficulty navigating sharp, tight turns on playfields — _Hardy repeatedly encountered snags and failures when attempting to use the device around tight corner areas on both test machines_
- [MEDIUM] The towel attachment may reduce the tool's turning radius and flexibility — _Hardy speculates: 'maybe the towel is the actual constrictor on being able to go around those really tight corners like that'_
- [HIGH] Hardy purchased the Pin Snake without sponsorship and legitimately for personal use — _Hardy explicitly states: 'This video isn't sponsored by them or anything. I legitimately bought this for myself'_

## Transcript

All right guys, I'm a little intrigued by something I saw online and I'm sure a lot of you have seen this circulating on Facebook and stuff like that. It was sent to me, the link that is, and I was like, well I've got to get that because either one, it doesn't work and it's just a humorous little thing that I get to make fun of or two this little gadget right here could be the new bee's knees to cleaning those hard-to-reach areas in your game so that's what we're gonna find out is if the pin snake is worth all the hype and we're going to utilize Deadpool as my machine to try it out with. All right, so ideally, let's say we wanted to clean up and around underneath this ramp right here. That would not be an easy task, but supposedly we're going to be able to do that utilizing this component right here that comes with it and now granted I'm not even going to read the instructions guys I'm gonna do this the right way or the wrong way and so let me get this camera out of over here so it looks like we lie this thing down on this and so and then I guess we fold these up around the snake okay so well I say that I mean it's getting looks like it's getting a grip on it. Just not as a tough grip as I'd like it to be. And then now let's test it out to see just this is without me using any kind of thing. I'm just going to see how well it works So no material or anything Let just see if in fact oh come on Looks like it Doesn want to work all right let try this direction there it goes so it looks like you kind of need to probably like loosen this thing up work the new off of it that's what it seems like and maybe the towels also hindering the ability for it to make those sharp turns all right let's see we got it now maybe can we oh no snake you're not doing what you're supposed to do maybe I'll help out the oh these sharp turns evidently are not gonna be ideal for the pin snake so the sharp turns no okay let's just try a regular old orbit so it looks like the orbit will get it up there and now I got the spinner in the way it's difficult to do this with just one hand here guys so let me get you guys a visual on what I'm seeing right here what you're able to do though so I've got the pin snake all the way up going all the way up there around that like that and then we can go all the way up and around this thing like right here all the way up there now let's see about this like I said this is probably going to need much better assistance when you got two hands versus me trying to get a camera in position so you can see how well it works oh no what it getting caught oh it was getting caught on the target right here So it looks like it goes pretty good around there but when you get a tight turn like right here it doesn't look like the snake's going to make that turn. Now the objective here is basically you're going to be pouring like, you know, your cleaner, and you want to douse it with some naphtha. That's probably what I'm going to end up doing when it comes to cleaning around these orbits that are traditionally very hard to reach and evidently it's going to be able to get these rails all around here and stuff too and let's try the inlanes look at that oh man That's pretty nifty. And the outlanes and the inlanes are usually pretty tricky too. I'm sure it's going to be game dependent on some of these things, but oh man, look at that go. All right, all right. Got to make sure the head of the snake is on there going the right direction. Got a little bit of a snug right there. Yeah, there it goes. And then you just kind of do your little thing and you're able to get this. Nice. So this little device right here with the snake and everything seems pretty legit. I'm guessing whenever you're done, then you would just pull this thing off of here. And so then I guess you would clean that, then you're going to be able to reuse it. then once again when you're ready to rock and roll then you get your pin snake all over there again and this is without instructions guys there's probably steps that you go about doing this the better way but this is just you know me just figuring this stuff out as I go and then I'll be able to just kind of feed it through and then I can Nice. All right, so it works on Deadpool, mostly, except for that really sharp little turn up there So now I curious and I guess I gonna try it out on my Foo Fighters and see if it can get around some of those areas Thank you. Thank you. Well, not going to work on that sharp little turn right there, but pretty much everywhere else on this game looks to be good to go. So there you have it guys, the pin snake. Now, if you'd like to get your own, then I will put links in the video description down below. This video isn't sponsored by them or anything. I legitimately bought this for myself in hopes of either, one, it being a complete gag, or two, it's a new part that I get to put in my cleaning kit. Thankfully, it's the latter. It's going in the cleaning kit. I mean, with the way the snake is able to bend, I mean it looks like it should be able to go around those areas in the play field but that's also without the towel being on it so maybe the towel is the actual constrictor on being able to go around those really tight corners like that but uh yeah I'm already seeing that a good amount of you have already received and and uh enjoy the product from what I have been seeing but I wanted the sea for myself and some of you out there like to know what I think about a product so there you go try it out guys until next time peace out
