Ray Day, take it away. Hey, everyone. Ray Day here along with Andrew and XB. And, yeah, we're here to show off .86. A lot of stuff got in this update. Look at the readme, some big new wizard modes, some extra side modes, extra multiball, and then a whole bunch of cleanup and new audio-video effects as well. So let's get right into it. What do you say? Let's do it. All right. All four of us? All four of us. The empire never rests, and neither can we. Yep. Alright, now whoever loses this game, Jack buys dinner. Alright. Alright. Oh, it doesn't matter who loses. You're still going to have to buy dinner. Oh man, this is going very poorly compared to my practice ball. Yeah, this is why I never practice because like I use up all my good mojo in practice and then when it counts I do terrible. I do. What's your strategy from the start button? Well I guess I'm gonna try to get some of these character combos because they do a lot more now. Oh we got a Stucky. There we go. So now if you get the... So if I get this Lando combo... Let's play a... I guess Lando mode. Alright, so explain the combo thing. You get the Lando combo, and then what does it do for you? So right now I have Leia and Obi-Wan. But if... Yeah, they're kind of pulsing. So if I get them again, they'll start flashing. Or they'll be solid. and that will help me in my multivolts but also start a super mode. So I just started super ramps in addition to my Lando mode. I guess that should count as a ramp, huh? I think it should, yeah. Oh, and we got... Oh yeah, I got Han super mode as well. Let's cash in this lightspeed, okay. Now how long do these super modes last? So each one has a certain ending criteria, so like, I don't know, 10 inlanes or something like that. And you want to try to beat it because then it boosts your values for the rest of the super modes. You can hear the cool Jerry Thompson sound effects with each of those inlanes. Alright, I get my Adavolt. No, you have to decide carefully. Take that out for now. We'll save it for later. Oh, yeah. Right, every add-a-ball you get now, it makes it a little bit harder for the next add-a-ball. So if I don't use the add-a-ball here, do I carry it to my next multiball, or do I have to re-qualify it? But I have to re-qualify it harder. It'll be harder if you use it here. But if I don't use it, I lose it? No. Well, I mean, you lose it for this multiball, yeah. No, but what I mean is, okay, if I lose it... Oh, dude, my hyperspace... I add the multiball, I start a different multiball. I juiced hyperspace... As you can tell. Oh! There we go. I love that loop. Super fun. There you go. Nice. Now those are a double. So. And I'm also getting my super ramps in the background. You'll get those in bonus points too if you complete the super ramps. Yeah, so I've completed super lanes already. Alright, we'll use that out of all. So, light speed also got tweaked a little bit. It's still the one you know and love, but now the character combo is actually... Yeah, so, like... Here, let's see if I can show a good example. Let's... Okay. So, I need six more jackpots to light the super, but if I hit one, like, Leia is solid, that'll actually count as three. It's two if it's flashing, three if it's solid. Right. And zero if you miss. There we go. And it's also, what's new in this patch is the yellow ones actually boost your thing more. So my super is actually going to be even higher now. Yeah, see? So it gets a little harder to light your super now, but your super is always getting bigger through this multiball. No, but it gets a little, it takes more and more to light each super. So just added a little more depth to this multiball. Alright, let's focus on I think Vader modes are really cool So if I need to hit the Left in lane of some kind There we go, that'll get the job done So this is the orange Luke mode So it's the hardest of the modes But in this patch Well, I try to show off It's worth a lot of points Yeah. Like, I try to just rip all the spinners and get Jedi spelled as quickly as I can. Yeah, I should have done that. Okay. That helped me. Well, you took the easier shot. Someone was asking me whether or not it's a ball down the middle, and I haven't really tried that hard. I have. It does. Oh, no. With the fully powered? Fully powered, yeah. Okay. Wow, 16 million mode shot. Oh, he's got the ion cannon up the middle. That's why, yeah. Yeah, yeah. It's like a level two one. And his are all three ups with a stun fire. Get in there. Oh, come on. Really? Oh! I should have used that one. Should have buttoned it up. So yeah, I feel like this code update brings a lot more points quickly. And look how many points it got without even touching a multiball. And I didn't even start a mode yet. Right. You were in a mode. I did start a mode. Yeah. So the longer term things in this, if we can start Vader modes, we'll start seeing some of that new content. And also we can play four different character modes. We'll see if we can get to the new user modes. No promises. Thank you, bossy. So yeah, you can notice the colors are now more intuitive. Green is easy, yellow medium, orange is hard. So I think this is the easy mode. I think that your scoring enhancements in this game will help me break my current glass ceiling. I've got to rest before I'm full of pops. Because when I came home, I've got a whole bunch of games in the high 800 million zone. I just always follow the score. Yeah, the old scoring, if you weren't getting, you know, five pots and jackpots, it wasn't as much. Oh, no, no, no. I bumped the mic. All right. Send in. All right, so we got, look at this, I got two missions already started. So you can see I got this window pulsing and this window pulsing. And when you get four pulsing, you get the new wizard mode? Yep. So let's, oh, I guess I'm starting in Java mode. Sure, this mode got buffed. I hear in this game Yes sir Just like the better Nice Oh this is new After a skillshot save you can get another Oh, you can go for another skillshot. And apparently you have to plunge it. So that's neat. Whoa! Whoa! That should be another bonus. Whoa, alright. Ooh, nine million. Yeah, I told Andrew make this mode better, and it sounds like it has been. Oh, I can stack it with Death Star too, it looks like. You think I can backhand with the Death Star? I've done it. Nice! Let's go! Alright, so we actually have some new clips in this multiball. Especially near the end of the multiball, you'll probably see an old friend. Is it Jack Danger? No. You're not old. I should hit some shots, though. I'm somehow missing every shot. But remember, the yellow characters will help you get there faster. Now, it will take me 20 spins to light my add-a-ball here, because I use my light speed. 20 spins on the job-a-ball, right? So it's kind of a catch-22. You can backhand it like 18 times to safely catch 20 spins. Or you can shoot it with the left flipper. But it's a lot harder to shoot it that way. I don't like how this ball's moving. Yep. I hate that feeling when you know it's not going to fly. Yeah, you can just sense the bad hojo. I needed 15 more spins there, yeah. Yep, you have to forehand that if you want all the spins. Alright, well, no Death Star or anything. Oh, I started Han, which we already... Oh, it is? Perfect. Yeah, Lando and Han are kind of hanging out in the middle there, and they get kind of confused. Oh, so I actually played two Lando modes, that's funny. Alright, well let's get Hoth. Hoth is a little harder now. You gotta hit the lock target each time. Even the first time around? Yeah, but you can stack them. Okay, so I can go target, target, target and lock by lock. Ooh, yeah, let's get some of these things. Uh-oh. Here we go. Am I still in loot? Anything? No. I mean, that's long gone. My Stormtrooper hurry-up is tempting, but... Is that why the Han insert's flashing so fast? The helmet? Yeah. No, the Han insert is going super fast. That's just for fun. There we go, now I got my Stormtrooper. So, Stormtrooper's actually, because it's bonus X, and with the super modes, the hurry up gets you a bonus X. But I made it so this patch you can hit the stormtrooper during multiball and it'll advance you, but once you have it lit it'll turn off, so you have to start it in single-ball play. Kind of like the man-pannons. It's a good compromise. Can I spell Jedi during multiball? Or is that not advanced? It does not advance currently. Yeah, that's... I'm wasting my time shooting this multiple. Maybe that's why... Maybe that's why I didn't crack a billion. Might be. All right, so this multiple also got reworked a little bit. You now get rewarded much more for hitting more shots. Oh, he just tagged the target for me. Oh, double super lift. Yeah, let's get it. Or not. I really want it. It's the easiest shot in the game, buddy. Center ramp. Oh, the debuff, right? You said that I need a stronger light show. There, nicely done. Bye-bye, Ada. Nice. Yeah, so the value is still Baron Hoff, but it's not quite as free and it's not quite as ridiculous. You got to work a little bit for it. As it should be. All right, am I done? I think I beat some mode, because I got the solid window now. You didn't beat the hot-pot yet. Alright, we'll let the hyperspace levering reset. Oh, look, you paused the timers. Oh, yeah, that's new. So timers pause a lot more. Oh, you can cancel animations a lot better. That one's smaller because you didn't collect all the add-out letters. Right. Oh, I got all my missions. So I want to start a different character. So maybe... Droids? Do I have droids? You haven't done droids. Or Yoda. And either Orbit, so Ben or Yoda are both available. Which will also help you advance. I feel like we don't see enough Yoda. Plus Yoda is super... And if I get that Yoda again with the combo, I can start Super spinners. Oh, you also get an extra ball after you, if you can complete three missions successfully. so that way it gives incentive to not just survive them right actually try to beat them i like it we also will get an extra ball at eight dark side awards and there's now a mystery several modes ready for you several modes ready for me let's see can we park it there don't worry a little lando action So now Lando, his shots are doubled until you hit enough slings and pops. And then it resets for you. It's wrong. Yeah. I figured it was good because he's, you know, a stealthy political player, right? Double crossing. You got to be careful. That's right, yeah. I'm trying to obtain the lit mystery ward. He kicks you with a double scoring, and he hands you over to the Empire. I also have on screen now, it'll tell you how many white shots I have left in this scene. So, like this one says 0 out of 1, so even though there's 4 white shots, you hit one, they'll go away. That can just help you plan out your route. Nice. Target into the sling into the Luke shot? Yes, I did. What a cop-out. We take those. We take those every day. I'll get my people to work on it. But yeah, so because you have four different missions in the wizard mode, I wanted to make sure you accidentally start the same one. You want to beat it because that helps you get towards X-Ball. Oh, that's a great idea. At least you get something. And so I decided here to actually take my multiball, So I can light my next mission. You also get more points if you have more modes. Oops. Here's my very paltry super jackpots, but I decided I wanted to go for hyperspace loops. Loops? Oh yeah, no loops? I haven't been to loops. I love this mode. It's super fun. Yeah, you've been playing these, the nightly builds? Yeah, build every morning. And then I play it throughout the day. Between, like, between... Yeah, you're kind of a lightbulb crazy. Yeah, yeah. Apparently juggling three games, actually. I got a bigger mode, but it's a D. That's a good point. Let's go over there. Nice. Wow. Nice shot. Hard shot. Yeah. Especially, like, on the floor. All right. So if you... This has got a... Ion charges. Okay. Ion charges. We like those, too. Can I catch this? I canceled out. Good enough. Oh, I skipped the intro. So what... Any of the shots, what dictates which mode you hit? The shot you hit. Which shot you hit. Okay. So you started family union. So before... So Luke, family. Before you had only that shot lit, but now you can hit any shot, but that shot, you know, it's faster. Yeah, it's worth way more. It'll increase the multiplier, so now the next shot will be 5.5 times 2 or whatever. Nice. But what's interesting now is you're kind of alternating between, like, any shot and no shot. And it'll actually help, like, you have ion cannon multipliers, and you're like, oh, I want that shot, because I have a multiplier over there. Yeah. It gives you some more options. And also, if you're just like, oh, no, I started a Vader mode, get me out of here, you can just, like, kind of ramp right orbit. Get out. Just get out, yeah. Just get out of there I love what you guys do with the lighting in the Vader modes by the way Thank you Can we do it again Nice That was a beautiful thing right there Now the pressure on because I enabled the dark side 82 mil you got for that. That was a nice chunk of change. Oh yeah. I guess try to stack with the multiball. Yeah, we'll see if we can find... Find a multiball without too much pain here. Can we... Or you can play another Vader mode and have the entire dark side. or dark side? I'm thinking about it. Do it, Andrew. Oh, so you said seven more for extra ball? Yeah. So that's new. Give in to your hatred, Andrew. Come to the dark side. Oh! Oh, nice! Oh! Oh! Nicely done, though. Oh, man. That was awesome. All right, most extreme. So close. Yeah, well, you showed off the theory. You did, yeah. I got Jedi almost done so full plunge in there for sure because I want those spins. The Jedi ball saver is now fully functional. Fully functional. Oh, fully functional. So you could see earlier you had the outlanes were kind of half lit just to help you remind you. I added that in this code so that that way when you're going down the outlane if you and if you see that amber light, you know you have the button ready. Now, this is actually new in this code. So you notice your outline's turned off, but once your ball save runs out, you can actually still pulse the physical magnet if you want. Just the pulse. No pulse. Right. That way you're not accidentally using your full save, and plus it would be kind of chaotic to credit. I have a ball. Yeah. I guess I should have used it right there. Yeah, that was your chance. I was hoping I would get the out of it. That's okay. You got hyperspace loops. It's like honorary lightspeed multivolts. All right, so I need not that shot to start a different one. Oh. Yeah. Oh. Oh. I hit it too late. That save is going to haunt me. This one's set up pretty fast. Yeah, this game's playing real quick. Might be even wrong to set up. I have no points. Okay, let's do something about that. Super skill shot completed. Where's my RPM meter? That thing went in there at light speed, dude. Get out of there. I think we need to level our game here. You're wasting ball saves, yeah. Oh boy. I'm scared. Alright, not a Jedi yet, he says. Alright, Andrew, tell us the rules to this one. Yeah, so this is done in phases. Each phase you shoot three shots. and then whatever shots remaining are added up and we do a little calculation and then you can cash that out of one of these blue shots. And then those three shots you shot from the last phase, they all have a multiplier from the next one that's a little bit higher and so you spend your time kind of massaging all the shots and getting all the multipliers high but without cashing out the red ones because they're 3x, but they'll make all your cash outs bigger. So now Ray has a choice. Does he take the 2x shots or does he make those cash outs bigger? get up there how do I get more ball save if I advance the phase will I get more ball save no oh no more ball save no more ball save ok but I'm getting good points points get better as you go ok and it's all based on white or 1x you said white or 1x blue or 2x and then they turn red ok and they become 3x oh my god I needed a little hair a couple spins. Oh no. But after just four shots you get 50 million. Well at least this way we don't spoil it. Yeah. They get to see the intro and it's just like I love that intro. It's a fun one. Alright I guess I'll go try to muck about in the dark side. Since I've got the Vader mode lit so I can re-enable the dark side features if I can just play him again. Assuming I don't. Yeah, try to play in Vader mode, get out of the Vader mode, and then fall and try to get to the dark side. Let's see, what's the easiest one? Well, it doesn't matter, we're playing Grand Moth Arcan. Right, but now you don't have to hit the bombs. Right, I can just ignore them and hit my favorite two shots over and over. Classic pinball. We're just taking the easy... Oh, not the same two shots.
