play Pinball yesterday at League I had two billion on Twilight Zone holy crap dude Roy that is insane man that is insane what would the price be you say to spend un invest on an average machine ah Ben uh that's a that's a tough call man uh what I like to tell people is uh when people ask how much does a pinball machine cost that is asking the exact same question as how much does a car cost you know what model are you buying how old is it what's the condition um you know do you have to do stuff to it and if you do you could flip it and make more money on it um it it could be you can get a pinball machine for free and it won't work you know but you could fix it up and make money or you could buy a freaking like a Walking Dead Pro for $55,000 brand new out of the box uh it yeah it's it's all over the place man it's uh it's conditioned for sure all right folks so here's the deal on Metallica in this version of the code there is a newer version that came out a couple weeks ago I don't know what they changed but here's how you play it in its current state the song means nothing it doesn't mean anything you're just picking a song with the flippers that you just want to hear while you're playing Fade to Black it's sad and romantic or whatever um so there's stuff going on here here we go sorry I've been burping all day uh uh you have a bash toy back here that's Sparky or electric chair if you hit him several times he starts a multiball uh now any multiball that you're in the second you start it the addab ball is also a 2X multiplier for the Playfield and how you get that is when you start the multiball like beat the crap out of Sparky you start the multiball these four picks right here uh whatever you didn't manage to hit while you were trying to get that multiball started will be flashing and you need to hit them all so that they're all solid and then a light above the snake's head will start flashing you get the ball inside that snake it puts your ball save back on throws another ball into play and you have 2X play field for like 30 seconds uh and that's for that's for uh grave marker multiball also the way you get grave marker is you have to knock down these three targets and then bash the cross back there a couple times same thing with the attab ball it's the pics get in the snake's mouth uh there is a multiball with the snake by hitting it a crapload of times and there's a multiball by hitting the coffin a crap a lad of times and that's this captive ball right here next to the snake just beating the crap out of that uh outside of the multi balls oh and you cannot stack grave marker with electric chair or Sparky but you can stack snake or coffin with electric chair or grave marker uh let's see what else let's go um Crank It Up So Crank It Up is the mini wizard mode on this game and what you're doing is uh you'll see these four lights here they're not lit up you have a cross an electric chair handle the coffin and the snake and what you have to do is hit enough of each of these shots to light up all four of these lights and when you do a blue light here there's a a scoop right under here above mystery that you can't see when Crank It Up is lit this will be blue you get it in there and uh it's a very tight shot I suck at making this shot um but when you get it in there what happens is you get a choice of four different modes uh and they each score differently um you'll have to research those uh but I go For Whom the Bell TOS which is the first mode what happens is it spits the ball out you get a short ball saver but what you're trying to do is just score as many points in that mode is possible nothing else matters in the game except for just hitting what's flashing when you're in that mode and then when you think you have enough points built up in that mode you have to hit one of each you have to hit each major shot again to light all these up just once one snake one coffin one electric chair one grave marker and then if you get the ball back in the scoop you get to collect all that money you just made so not only did you make all that money in that mode let's say you made 50 50 million in that mode when you get it in there you already have your 50 million but you have a chance to collect another 50 million or you can say no I want to keep going but you only have as long to play as as long as the song is so like six minutes to play that mode and uh if you manage to get a doubler like a a 2X Playfield before you collect that you will double that collect it's pretty great buy a new in box mini wizard mode yeah mini wizard mode um let's see there's other modes by like knocking the crap out of the pcks just in regular game play like clearing them all 15 times yeah I don't think anyone's ever going to see that I did it once drunk out of my mind and I don't know how I achieved it it was nuts um there's uh Seek and Destroy oh okay let's talk about the lanes here okay so sorry there's there's a lot to explain here um you'll see in front of every major shot there is a red arrow a light for the electric chair a light for the snake and a light for the grave marker now the red arrow is telling you the shot that you currently the last shot you hit Okay it's saying this is the last shot that you hit even though we haven't done anything it's saying this is the last shot you hit so what you do is while that's lit if you hit Sparky here it's going to light up that electric chair light next to it then if you hit the snake it's going to light up the snake and then if you hit grave marker it's going to light the grave marker cross and then once you've collected all those you have to hit that shot once and it'll be uh flashing and going crazy and you have to lock it in by hitting the coffin Now by doing that every time you hit that you're getting credit towards Sparky snake and cross or uh electric chair snake and Grave marker as credit towards going back in to Crank It Up which is great so you can just hit one shot and collect three things instead of having to individual hit those things uh what's up the Renegade good to see you um sorry if I'm talking too much I'm just trying to explain all this there is a lot going on in this game what's great is this game didn't have all this stuff when it first came out and now they've like made it pretty deep um so yeah there's that uh there is the fuel mode here that if you spell fuel by hitting these two Targets uh I think you have to spell fuel three times it starts a fast scoring mode that uh everything's just worth more than it should be when you're hitting stuff it's pretty great uh other than that you know there's the typical like inlane things you want to complete for bonuses am I missing anything that oh end of the line finish all Crank It Up modes you'll get a wizard mode end the line I don't think I'm ever going to see that have you done that Roy because that's insane oh Ben don't buy pinball machines on eBay dude do not go on pinside or or uh if you have to go on Craigslist uh the pinside is where you're going to find actual pinball people that are selling games and people won't be able to sell a game for too much or in too crappy condition because the community won't let you they'll call you out so uh that's the best place to go buy them because it is policed by the community and since the community is the internet the Internet won't let jerks be jerks if money's involved anyway whatever don't buy pinball machine sight unseen exactly uh Again song doesn't matter song doesn't matter um there's a super skill shot and a regular skill shot uh and then a super super skill shot so the regular skill shot is you want to hands off the game plunge the ball it'll come up here and it'll stop and then you want it to go through the lane up here that is uh flashing and you can control that left or right with your flippers the super skill shot is holding the left flipper in plunging it'll shoot all the way around and then on the Fly you have to hit some major shot okay then like the super duper skill shot is holding the left flipper in so that when you full plunge it wants to go all the all the way around but you soft plunge to just barely get it into one of these Lanes up here into the one that's flashing it's nuts all right guys that was a lot that was a lot um okay my trading card will have the info on the back Roy when do I get a trading card oh I guess I got to be good at pinball streaming it doesn't mean anything um am I really dark I feel like I'm really dark ah whatever we'll just play crap I'm haven't been able to find that shot also typically on a pinball machine right when you uh plunge there's a ball saer when you first start a game we turn those off to make these games a entertain that thought for ever going in there so you know we were thrown some ideas and out there that they're going to do a rethe that's cool and I couldn't talk about it until um Saturday while we were in our seminar I asked Dennis to sit down because he's very passionate about what we do with the children's hospital and all a sudden just out of the blue he mentioned that uh oh yeah me and the McDonald House for families who have to stay long term that's a discussion that uh we got into several times the only limitation is uh you know heemi beds and heemi Families in a house a lot of these larger hospitals you're talking you know there's anywhere from 25 to you know 100 beds in these hospitals and that means that there's uh sick kids that could use this because they're kind of uh isolated when they go through treatment they can't go out into the the general uh population so you know I could describe that these kids are standing next to the machine they have PS in their hands and they're receiving treatment while they're right at the game so we're focused on that now but uh we approached a couple Ronald McDonald's houses but we want to stay focused on the Children's Hospital there's over 334 of them so we got a mountain to climb then we're going to take a a look at these other avenues because we realize while the kids are undergoing treatment their families are displaced and their siblings might need uh something to to relieve their their tension as well so it's something that's on our our uh you know radar but not right now we got such a mission statement and you know a big plan with just the hospitals Alone um so that'll be further down the road but we have consider it ladies and gentlemen just a heads up for you we have reached $176 so far let's keep want hit that several times it starts a multiball all right outside of that here's grave marker if you knock down these three targets and then hit this cross back there uh two or three times that's a multiball any multiball in this game you can get an addab Ball by hitting all four of these picks to make them solid then a green light over the Snake Here lights up get it in there that is not only turning your ball save back on throwing another ball into play and giving you 2x Playfield for 30 seconds so anything you get for 30 seconds is double including your super super jackpots and your extra ball if extra balls are turned off which are usually 2 and2 million but it'll be 5 million if you hit it um you can't stack these multi balls together but what you can do is if you hit snake a crap load that's a multiball and if you hit coffin here these captive balls that's also a multiball so you can stack Sparky the uh electric chair or grave marker multiball with one of these two multiballs we can't stack these together um outside of that there's skill shot as far as like your basic skill shot by plunging it and getting in the lane here fratar just subscribed brother welcome Dan what do we got here oh whose idea to bring pinball to uh the hospital well that's a a good question it was actually uh my wife that found a broken pinball machine in a local hospital and she knew that I fix machines just as a serious hobby so she texted me and I texted her back yeah sure no problem we didn't think that the hospital would reach out to us um and probably like 3 days after we uh gave them the information they contacted us oh check $5 from jool says nice job Dan thank you so much dude I appreciate it so we went down there it was a a uh 2007 Stern Spider-Man and we didn't think it would be you know that bad I took some cleaning supplies and I figured that it just needed to be um you know gone over maybe a couple rubbers we went down there and found that there was 2,332 plays on it in 2 and A2 years so um that's 8,000 plays in a year so that's insane um we put it on a maintenance program then all a sudden every time that I would return um to do the maintenance the kids would run in soon as I opened the coin door they want to see um how the machine worked on something that they they loved and enjoyed so we started getting you know uh overall picture you know we started seeing how much these kids enjoyed it the parents would say how much the kids enjoyed it uh we would have uh the parents coming in and saying hey my son was in the you know treatment room I couldn't be in there U I thank you so much for having the machine there to relieve our stress and you know probably after a couple months I had a doctor run in on me and he uh he looks very concerned and I was concerned because you know never had people Rush up to me especially a doctor and you know U he wanted to thank us because he said after he uh talks to the little kids in the bed and he does his rounds he has a chance to relieve stress sort of like Jack was saying earlier when you're playing the silver ball and you guys know you're not thinking about the world's problems that's why it works so good in this setting um I dare anybody to go out there and try to think about something else and have a good game soon as you plung the ball TR anything else because like a video game has a pattern to it like all that stuff this is like you're fighting physics you're fighting yourself you're fighting the condition of the game you're fighting all the stuff and you can't help but just focus on like what do you have to do now to react to this versus you know it just it clears the crap out of your head and I tell any freelancer pin head thank you for the follow buddy I tell any freelancer that comes here I'm like if you're having a hard time and you need a fresh pair of eyes on something you're designing or you've hit a roadblock go in the back I don't care if you've never these hospitals uh we're doing good things so you know we would feel the pressure of setting this up um she's new to pinball so uh let's applaud for her joining us in the pinball Community but I would tell her go play Pinball you know you're stressed out get up go play a game and sure enough she would come back and say hey it does work it works it relieves the stress it gets your mind off of what's bothering you so you could come back and you know we could relate to that so you know it's not that hard to figure out you're passionate about pinball I am too we're um you know putting it in the hospital where it could do great good yeah man and it's doing exactly that and you guys are helping us do so I mean your generosity tonight is just fantastic it helps us get more machines in the machine back up and I enjoyed that also so much that I bought another Papa duuk machine yeah which was you do thether magic and now I know someone will ask me how many machines do you owe I don't know I um I have over 60 that I am aware of but if you ask me which titles I have I could tell you that but we have a place in Fort Mars um that is called the pinball Asylum that whoa Lazar nicely done not their uh support it could be on a story uh like in Chicago there was a family that reached out to us uh their child had leukemia when he was 3 years old and he went through chemotherapy for almost 4 years and wanted to give a gift back to the hospital because uh he's now cancer great so they wanted to celebrate sticky what's that uh nothing he I I was drawing stuff on Mor's head so you know we knew we had to do something special for you know him and his family we actually had him um you know come up with words of inspiration that he could give other uh kids that were going through something that would be similar and you know it was just a great time that's awesome and what do we have now almost $1,000 just from one night yeah just possibly put another one somewhere well just because of the dedication of the pinball community and you know I get to hang out and play Pinball I mean it's it's truly amazing but you know we uh like San Francisco they just knocked it Loose they uh really you know dope into you know fundraising um Boston did the same thing um you know they made it easy for us to buy a machine that we could dedicate locally and with our charity we're actually a local charity even though we reside in Florida because any money that's raised in Chicago land here stays here that's really great so you know if people are dedicated to the charity they're helping kids in
