## Transcript

I would assume that almost everyone on the planet has played the iconic video game Tetris at some point in their life, from converted arcade cabinets, to desktop computers to the Nintendo Entertainment System. My first memory of playing Tetris was back when I was 14 years old or so. I bought a Nintendo Game Boy right before going into the hospital for my first of several heart bypass surgeries. Knowing that I'd be in the hospital for around a week, I bought an OG Nintendo Game Boy to entertain myself. Then I had the surgery and felt too horrible to do anything, even play video games LOL. Oh well, I ended up playing the heck out of that Game Boy over the years anyhow.

The Game Boy version of Tetris has actually been on my mind recently because Nintendo just released the original Game Boy version of Tetris on the Switch for subscribers earlier this week. I literally played it a day or two ago. If you have a Nintendo Switch, you definitely should give it a play.

Anyhow, Earlier today Apple announced that a new movie about the origin of Tetris is coming to AppleTV+ on March 31st. The movie, based on the true story of the games creation, goes from the game's creation by a computer programmer in Russia, to the attempts to sell the game on the mass market on the brand-new at the time Game Boy. The playing of Europe's Final Countdown in the background of the trailer is perfect. The movie looks fantastic.

The game you couldn’t put down, the story you couldn’t make up. Tetris streaming March 31 on Apple TV+ https://apple.co/_Tetris_

Taron Egerton stars in a new Apple Original Film inspired by the true story of how one man risked his life to outsmart the KGB and turn Tetris into a worldwide sensation.

Tetris is directed by Jon S. Baird and written by Noah Pink. The film’s Executive Producer is Iain MacKenzie. Producers include Matthew Vaughn, Gillian Berrie, Claudia Vaughn, Len Blavatnik, and Gregor Cameron.

I've subscribed to AppleTV+ on and off over the years. My wife really liked Ted Lasso and I enjoyed For All Mankind and the Tom Jim Hanks movies Greyhound and Finch. I may have to reactivate the subscription to check this out.
