## Transcript

Hey gang, it's Zach with Flip N Out Pinball with Straight Down the Middle and with The Pinball Show. Today, we're going to show off the brand new Funhaus remake game by Pedretti Gaming. You all know and remember the Williams Bally game Funhaus from the early 90s, right? There are just so many pinball people that adore and love that game. so nostalgic. The problem is if you pick up one now, all of the coils, switches, cabinet parts, everything is like 30 years old. Who wants that? Most of you don't. So Pedretti Gaming comes in and they remake Funhaus so you can have it just like you remembered it back in the day, except this time they're giving you options. This particular game, Funhaus Remake, has two models. The Classic Edition, which looks, and feels everything like the original funhouse that you guys know so well. And then they came out with the Midnight Limited Edition, which includes the 2.0 all new rules set as well as a beautiful makeover with new illustrated artwork by Brian Allen. But then some of you guys are like, well, wait a minute, I like the new artwork, I like the options of the 2.0, but what if I don't want to play the 2.0? No big deal, whenever you start the game it says, do you want to play the original rules set or do you want to play the new and enhanced rules set? And then you're off to the races. But today I want to show you guys the addition that I've fallen in love with, and that is the Midnight Limited Edition. It's just so damn pretty. And I've owned the original Funhaus in the past, but for me, it just kind of got stale. So this really fixes the problem for me. I get what I love about Funhaus. That is a Pat Lawler layout and one of the most iconic interactive mechanisms in all of pinball history. And that's the interactive dummy known as Rudy. I'm going to get you. So let's play a little bit. I'll walk you through some of the tasks that you do on this game. Pretty simple, though. If you guys know the original Funhaus, then this isn't tough at all. Essentially, what you've got is left orbit goes to the pops, right orbit goes through the pops up to the upper left flipper here. You've got a left ramp you'll hit up there. It'll come safely down to your left flipper. or if you have enabled the step, S-T-E-P, if you've hit all those targets, then that will open up a diverter that will then put the ball into an additional lane with an additional plunger down here. You'll shoot it up, and there are some options in what you hit. On the 2.0 code set, you're trying to dunk a clown, and you're trying to hit all of those. That's another separate task. You have the middle shot, which is a saucer. The mirror, essentially. The waterway is the scoop that hits it to that mystery mirror. On that you'll see an LCD screen. I don't know if you guys, yeah you can pretty much see it there. It'll give you information as well as the LCD up top on whenever you're in modes, what's coming next. It'll give you all kinds of information. You also have a hidden hallway right up the gut there. That's the lock balls. You get your extra ball there. You got Rudy. If you hit with this flipper or you can bank shot, sometimes you can bank and hit him, pop him right in the mouth as he's talking right now. You'll want to pop him. Once you do that, you enable some of the modes in that mirror or other mystery rewards. Super simple. So I think you hit that once and then you can hit the mirror to start a mode or to start different rewards. To change those rewards or the modes, you just hit the pop bumpers and it'll go through them. You also have a loop there, an inner loop. So, an inner loop is cool. Once you hit it around once or twice, depending on what you're at in the game, there's going to be a trap door that pops up. Boom, combo that bad boy, hit it. A lot of points there. Working your way around. There's also a saucer right down here. Same kind of thing. You're going to eject a lot from the subway right around here. There's a hole right there as well. Once you hit it in there, you'll light the S-T-E-P targets to start that step. Two inlanes to the right, one in lane to the left. That's pretty much it. If you complete all of it, then you get to the wizard mode. One of the main tasks here is to play the modes, but the big task is to make Rudy go to sleep and then start that multiball. As you see, as I'm playing the game, I'm going to enable minutes on this clock right here. And the more minutes that go by, if he gets to like 1130, then he's going to start getting tired and you're going to lock a ball. Once you lock a ball, then it's going to turn to 1145 to lock that second ball. Once it hits midnight, the magic happens and we go into Rudy's nightmare where he falls asleep. You're trying to hit him in the mouth to wake him up and whatnot. Hit it in his mouth when he's sleeping and snoring. It's fantastic. success mainly that's the main point of the game that's the main point of the original game too very very true to the original but the 2.0 also gives you additional modes additional features and a lot more polish my goal is to show you guys some of the features different modes maybe the multiball I want to show you guys the the step shot some of the different tasks here on funhouse remake we're not going to get to the wizard mode or anything you know because you know I just don't want to i want to and i want to give it away that's why it's not that i can't get to them i i can get to them so let's play funhouse remake all right so check it out on the skill shot what we're trying to do is there's a section right above right behind rudy's head there it's called rudy's hideout if i plunge it just right i'm going to get into that little section there's a kickback kicks it back it's cool because there's a dedicated kickback on this game just for that skill shot I love it. Did I get it Too much Oh oh but I did get the trap door open with that orbit shot That inner orbit So, I'm trying to... My goal here is to collect minutes to get it up to midnight. And I failed miserably there. But I'm trying to collect minutes. I collect minutes by hitting things like the orbit shot, like ramps. Pop bumpers will do it. A little bit of everything. See, that'll give me some minutes. Oh, baby. See? I got minutes. Oh, God. All right. Let's slow it down here, Zach. Let's slow it down. Keep hitting minutes. That's good. That's good. Ten more minutes added. I want to hit that trap door. That's some big points. But I couldn't get it. All right. I'm trying to get minutes. I'm trying to proceed through so that we can get so we get a multiball going ah But I also want to get through the modes right now evil clones is lit at the mirror the wind tunnel wind tunnel scoop shot Evil clones is a two ball multiball. I'm gonna show you guys some of these some of these modes But I really also want to show you guys the second plunge Which I think is like the only game that has two plungers which is really cool you get to that by hitting s TEP stand up targets step we started that by hitting this hole right there but s is the only one that I need to hit right now I've hit TEP so we're gonna try to hit the s as well as starting a mode as well as building our minutes I love this 2.0 rule so you got all kinds of stuff to focus on so let's go for I still want that trap door I I started evil clones. That's fine. It's a two ball multiball. I like this mode because there are some points that can be had. Rudy is worth a million. So you want to take advantage of that. Oh, I hit it in the trap door. So that's some points. Ah, can't get Rudy. Come on. Don't focus down here, Zach. Focus up there on Rudy. Got him. Focus on Rudy. This is a Pat Lawler layout. I always found it to be a bit, for better or worse, a bit crammed. That's a drain. Alright, let's focus on that S. I nearly lost that one. Alright. Oh, get that S Zach. Get that S Zach. Did I get it? Nope. There it is. Now left ramp to get step going here. See I've lit step. S-T-E-P. If I hit that left ramp, it's going to divert it into this shooter lane. Oh, baby! How cool is that? Now this is another task within this 2.0 system that I love so much because you're trying to drown the clown. Drown the clown. And then I'm going to plunge this, and when I plunge this, it's going to go up and it can do four things. It can go to the first hole, which is a funhouse frenzy when that's lit, light extra ball when lit or the third one's 500,000 points when lit you score that or all the way if you go all the way around it's lightning super dog bonus timer on the stairs I mean ideally I would love to go in the second one and light the extra ball got the third one all right now I can start hot dog combat at the mirror my lock is lit as well which is cool so I can light my lock too I'm going to go I'm going to start that mode hot dog combat I love the animations on this mode as he's battling watch him kick him, I love it I'm trying to hit this hot dog shot right there and I've started Rudy the monkey Cool light show on this mode too I'm trying to get Rudy right in the mouth there Because he's worth some big points right now There it is I need to get uh if I can get that second I get that inner loop oh it didn't go all the way around A lot of flow, a lot of fun here. Oh! Oh! Oh, shit! Alright. Got a little crazy there. What are we starting now? Trap door open Don you want a balloon I still in Superdog I want to light my lock there I want to see if I can lock a ball No not there Don't you want a balloon? Let's start Don't You Want a Balloon. Oh, and I drained, y'all. Now keep in mind, Pedretti Gaming was nice enough to send us out for the showroom and for marketing video purposes. one of the very first Funhaus remake LEs in existence. So you're still going to see, probably going to see some code updates and tweaking from what you see on this video. But I still think it's important to get this out here to show you guys what all this game has to offer. Is that Rudy's hideout? I think it was. Got it. You got the hammer. You're trying to collect items there too. I want to lock a ball. I want to get Rudy to go to sleep. I'm going to show you guys that. See, it's tricky because you can't hit that little hidden hallway with that right flipper. You've either got to post-pass it, or you've got to hit the ramp and then transfer it over. Get over there. Missed it. Bounce, bounce. There we go. Ball one is locked. We're gonna try to put him to sleep here. Let's see if we can. I want to bop him in the mouth too again. Oh careful careful careful. There's ball two is locked. One more to get into Rudy's nightmare. Here we go. Let's bop him in the mouth for good measure. BAM! Look a lot of people were like, oh the new voice is not Rudy though. And it's not the original Rudy. But, like when he goes into that evil Rudy mode, I like it better. Like it's so cool. I love that. Alright, we need ball three lock. I can also get my steps open to the left ramp. Let's do that. Okay. Melt the clown. I would love to get the second shot there for an extra bowl. I got it, baby. Well, I lit it. Oh, then I hit him. No, no, no, don't you dream. Oh, it's game time. Did you all hear that knocker? Here we go. Rudy's nightmare. He's sleeping. I gotta wake him up. I gotta get that trap door too. I like just raining right there. Come on, we gotta get in the trap door. There we go. Set it up. Here we go. Missed it. Missed it. Trap door is where you need to hit it. And I'm not going to be able to do it. Oh, man. Couldn't even get him to snore. I love if you I made an extra ball there if you get that side trap door you kind of wake him up a little bit and he snores and his little jaw goes nothing like it that's what you show off to everybody it's so freaking cool Alright. So. Oh. Oh. Alright. Settled. Let's get back into the multiball. I'm not even mad. Ah. Ooh. Good. Keep adding them minutes, baby. I'll get back in it. I'll melt that clown. Drown the clown baby. Oh now I'm shooting well. Now the video is about over. And that is Funhaus remake 2.0 code. Rudy's Nightmare. If you want to buy one, all you got to do is go to flippingoutpinball.com, order yours today. We've still got, I think, some LEs left. A little extra ball for me. I think we got some LEs and some classic editions. Some spots still available. They're going to be building them throughout 2024 and into 2025. I really want to get back into... Coot, coot. I really want to... Oh, look at that. I really want to get back into the multiball because I did pretty piss poor on that to be honest. Duck hunt. I'll take it. Here we go Lock one Smashing ducks Smash them duckies Don't you do it. There we go. What do we got here? Finish mode to activate the mirror. Oh! Haunted roller coaster. That's a cool video mode. I'd like to show you guys that. I just love that. Ten minutes! Boom! I wish I could get him to eat the bowl too. Alright, I hit a pop bumper so I changed the mode. But there is a video mode in here, it's pretty neat. Got my million? Alright, what do we got? Ball saver? That's bullcrap. Alright, don't go anywhere. I want to show you guys a better multiball here. As well as maybe that video mode, additional mode. Because you've got to see it all. You guys are going to love this game. Let's show you don't you want a balloon. Based on the whole Pennywise It thing, which is like my favorite horror film, so this works for me. We're trying to hit pop bumpers. See how each of them are marked five? If you hit each of them five times, see if I can see. Oh, there's one. Now, if I stop hitting a ranch there. Get over there. There we go. Hit them pops, baby. Yeah. Oh, yeah. See as you're trying this what you're trying to do So that's the that's the don't you want a balloon Next it's haunted roller coaster, which is a video mode really nice video mode So if I hit the left button I turn left right button I hit it think like Indiana Jones But do not Follow the red the red arrow. All right, so it switches it switches. I don't want red stay in the middle I'm good stay in the middle all right let's see which way to go which way to go which way to go right gotta turn right all right turned right all right next one it gets tricky all right uh stay in the middle all right uh stay in the middle okay ah ah I didn't do it quick enough damn that's haunted roller coaster video mode all right y'all I really botched the main multiball earlier in the video so I'm going to try to redeem myself here with trying this Rudy's Nightmare once again. The object here, I'm trying to hit that trap door. I didn't. There it is. Trap door hit. Now I'm going to hit him in the mouth. Hit Rudy in the mouth. Alright, I got him loaded. Got him loaded up top. Got a hit Got a hit in his mouth. He's going to fall. Look at him. See him snoring? How cool is that? Hit him in the mouth. I'm going to drain all these because I'm going to feed that upper flipper. Ah, almost. Ah, couldn't get it. There. Oh, no. Did I get it? You got to give him a swallow. Oh. You've got to load up that left... No! Ah! Here we go. Alright, there's still time. Here we go. Right here. Yeah! That's where it's at, baby. Get up there. That's good enough, at least you guys seen the whole like, yeah him waking up and spitting it. That's cool. You guys, I'm about to botch this again. It's not an easy multivol here. No! No! Oh of course! I hit it now. Oh no. Cripes! you
