## Transcript

Harry Potter, Harry Potter pinball machine. This is the second video I've learned a lot more about it. So the first video was just really a first impressions of it, a bit of a game on it and and that's probably still the best place to go to see the best footage of the play field but i just thought i would do something a little bit more in depth with the gameplay with a few more cameras on it in this one which will be coming up in about five minutes so as we could get a really get a close-up of this Quidditch action really which you can see the Quidditch play field if you want to call it your upper play field there it's really cool very very cool I think it's an incredibly engrossing aspect of the game actually so since I did my first video on it I've probably played I've probably played six or seven games, something like that. And I have to say that the game keeps you guessing. It's fast. The flippers are snappy. I don't know what I'm doing yet. But I think once you start to learn the rules, you're going to start being able to predict better the ball paths the game is going to be taking. Not that that's a problem, by the way. I do not have an issue with it because I quite like the surprise element of the game. There's so much more flow to this game than I thought there would be. I have to say I was a little bit concerned about the sound. I'm not concerned about that anymore. I think perhaps you could have a little bit higher volume maybe on the movie clips, but they're there. It's not like I feel like I'm... The problem isn't that the movie clips aren't playing. the issue is really that the game is so fast that you just don't have time to look up at the screen so I think the screen is probably if you're playing a two-player game the screen is really something that's there for everybody else that's watching rather than the person playing um it's it feels very very immersive um you want to keep playing it it's the shots are addictive It's a brilliant ball path, surprising ball paths actually, which you just not expect him. This staircase, I mean, you'll see it when I start playing a game in a minute. It moves quickly. So you're not waiting for this gimmick to sort of grind into action. It moves very quickly. It works and it will divert your ball immediately. immediately um and so i think when you first look at this this game maybe from the outside you think there's not many ramps and particularly when you consider this ramp here is taking you straight up to the quidditch one so you think well actually where are the shots well this is this is almost like the hub of everything this this will take the ball off in different directions and make those shots and i think it sounds a little bit gimmicky when you say say there's 64 different ball paths or something like that but when they're actually taking you and it's creating shots that have really good flow on them that have good directions then it becomes a really really good centerpiece of the game forget to look at and forget that it is a a staircase if you want as a junction as almost like a signal box like a railway signal box for the game this will just in many respects is the conductor it's the conductor the composer of the game it's just deciding where everything is going where the ball is going to go and it's just very very playable um jjp always do good games in terms of brilliant games in terms of the aesthetics in terms of the theme integration no problem there at all but this shoots this is a proper shooter this game for all its garnish for all its glitter for all of the the good looks at the game clearly has it's a it's a shooter it is a really really engaging pinball machine that is just fun real fun to shoot You have the twang, don't you? Of course. Really nice. I just think whatever... This CE is gorgeous It is It is stunning I done enough filming with videos in my time as I said in the first video to know that you not going to get all the glitter You not going to get every bit of sparkle that I seeing with the naked eye That's not going to come across on camera, particularly if you're not watching this on a phone or something like that. This has really got to be seen in person. You can see it in person as well. You can come to Pinball Heaven HQ, which is where I am at the moment, actually. can arrange phone up pinball heaven arrange to come and play this game it's here it's in it's in situ i am let's turn the camera around now okay if the camera wants to work i'm in pinball heaven now there's a actually really lovely restored theater of magic there lots of games lots of lots of stuff here um so yeah if you want to get get yourself down to pinball heaven come and play this game make an appointment first don't just rock up but you'd be very welcome these are the these are the game changer cards easy wizard normal if you don't know what they are they're basically like a handicapping system so if there are three of you of differing levels who wanted to play you just scan i think you i think the idea is you scan the QR code on that camera there. I've not tried it, but I've just been playing single games. Apart from when I pressed the start button twice and played a game of doubles against myself, aside from that. It's just been single games. But there's a lot to like about this game. I think they've done a great job, a great job with it. and how well you can see the wands there. Always try and get the camera in as close as I can on these games, give you a really good look. I mentioned it earlier, so these are the spotlights on the playfield, cunningly disguised as books. Really good, really good. Let's just try and get a slightly different angle for you. There you go. I just want you to get a really good look at the playfield I know people love to study this stuff don't they not anyone other than the ball ever sees the playfield from this level but there you go right I think you've seen plenty let's have a game Okay, this is probably my fourth game on Harry Potter. We're going to have a game or two, and we're going to hopefully show you a little bit better resolution of the playfield and hopefully some close-up of the Quidditch shots at the back of the playfield. But very, very impressed with my first impressions of this game. I was incredibly impressed with very fast game. Lost the ball straight away. I will do the Philosopher's Stone. I was actually going for the death easel shot then I broke the law Oh dear, it's quite a tight shot Quidditch Great little shot that So there's the Death Eater. Just comes flying out of here. That is so fast. That has killed me. Right. That's my first game and it has absolutely obliterated me. I don't think I will. But I'm going to do a much better job now, hopefully. Fingers crossed. Okay. Oh! Oh, wow. that was fast it is so fast this game Beautiful shots I gonna go year six the half blood boss Hopefully you got a nice view of the Quidditch game then I was hitting it very well earlier. Yeah, I'm really enjoying this game. I don't know what I'm doing, I'll have to spend time learning the rules. So, as you can see at the top right, we have one ball locked on the three wands. And you can see that because if you look at the tips of the wands, there you can see one of the wands is lit. I really like that mirror, it reminds me of Theatre of Magic. which funny enough there's a theater magic right behind me there which i was looking at this one i didn't hit that shot then oh that's that's really cool the flow on that is great Oh Then if they're proper shots it feels yeah, it feels like proper shots for the Quidditch yeah that was that was cool I've really you know got some some good looks going then yeah I don't think that would get old the Quidditch shot Whoa, so fast. It's really fast, this game. Oh, dear. I know I've said it a few times, but it is fast. I'm just loving the small details, like the books for the spotlights, as I mentioned. So there's two balls locked. thank you oh I thought I was gonna get that, oh man I lost the ball damn it it's fast almost lost the ball again there That's really cold. Oh, that's a shame. I probably could have saved that a lot better. It's a good fun game. It really is. It's just so much to learn on this game. So much to learn. I'll just... We'll do that because it will get beaten. and everybody's coming for the Pinball Heaven Open day. So that'll get beaten over and over again. I just want to play another game. That staircase really works. I have to say that I did not... I wasn't too sure. I don't know. I'm not sure what I expected. I've just only seen it on the video. But it's not so cumbersome and clunky that it doesn't work. It directs the travel of the ball really quickly, which I think is what gives the game flow. Obviously there are points where the game is stopping, like on the wands. There's a post just here on the left. But, more or less, the game keeps going. I think it works really, really well. I mean that works that Ford Anglia up in the tree there. Totally different ball path again which is why I didn't hit it off the upper flipper because I didn know it was coming that way It could go anywhere this I don know where it going Okay Back into the pop set time but it was the same shot Okay so that's and I did I think that was the inner loop that was hit. Goes on to the the wands. Very impressed very impressed. Oh my word. That was an accident. Oh man, that was a bad shot. Oh dear, that's my fault. Totally. Skill shot, shoot mid-ramp. So I guess I've got to plunge it onto here and hit the middle ramp. It is actually telling me on the screen. Okay, okay. So it was a skill shot. I got the skill shot. It gives you a certain amount of time to do it. I got the skill shot, which is worth quite a lot of points, I think. Anyone for Quidditch? I did try. Anyone for Quidditch? Yes please. Now the Quidditch goalposts are the two, it's a captive ball which are the two, basically if you're looking at the Quidditch field of play, if you want, that little arch where you can see there's two posts, which when hit, they knock the captive balls. Unfortunately, I couldn't hit the Quidditch shot. Two balls locked. I mean, I think even if you're getting the arcade version of this, you are getting a lot of game. There's a lot of pinball machine here. Oh, arse. Okay. Last ball. I guess I am going to need a multiball here. I haven't had one on this game. Ah, it's the wrong shot. It's the right orbit, I think. Or that shot would have given it to me, I think. Oh there we go, he's going to cut off my work honestly. I think that's the fastest one yet that one. Oh I thought that was going to give me a ball lock. I do actually want to get that multiball. I'm on the last ball here so. Oh there we go, don't be nasty. Don't be nasty, don't be nasty. No no no no no no no! Oh thank goodness. No! No no no no no no. Do I get the ball back? Forks? What's that mean? Is that giving me a full save? Yes! Damn it. Oh, I really didn't need that then. That was... Oh, um... Enter your name. I mean, what can I say? I want to continue to play it, but it's going to be the longest video in the world if I do that. It's a really, really good game. A really good game. it's beautiful, it's a work of art but I just think even if you're just looking on the playfield I just think it's remarkable that none of this none of this stuff that we're seeing on the playfield none of those shots I know the collector's edition's got this sparkle on the playfield but none of this stuff is missing on even the entry level game I'd be very, very surprised if anybody that got this game was disappointed with it And as I always say, I think the biggest barometer of whether I like a game is whether I get one or not. And I think this looks like it's going to have to be got.
