## Analysis

Chuck Wurt from Straight Down the Middle investigates a reported scoring bug in Game of Thrones (Premium Edition) involving stacking the Wall multiball with The Winner Has Come multiball. The bug allegedly extends the ball saver to 3-4 minutes and allows scores in the 20-30 billion range through specific shot sequences. Wurt attempts to reproduce the bug on stream to submit findings to Dwight Sullivan at Stern for potential fixes.

## Transcript

What up, Rossman? We're looking for some pretty major bug in Game of Thrones tonight, man. So, a buddy of mine who was a beta tester for Game of Thrones when it first came out, his name's Steve, but he goes by SKB on Pinside. and essentially has to do with the stacking of the wall multiball and the winner has come multiball. And essentially what it does is it – something happens. I was talking with him in detail over text yesterday, and one, it extends the ball saver of that combined multiball to at least three minutes or so, three or four minutes. But what seems to happen, too, is the scoring goes wonky because he told me he's been able to score in the 20 to 30 billion range in that mode by doing a specific, like, series of shots, I guess you could say. But we'll go through it. But, um, so I think he said he's pulled it off with being House Baratheon and also Greyjoy. But essentially what's happening is, yeah, something's going wrong with the scoring in that. So I'm going to try and reproduce it just so I'll be able to submit it to Dwight at Stern to see if he can squash that bug if he finds time to come back to Game of Thrones at some point. All right. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to be playing this House Baratheon all night. And what I'm going to try and do is just set up that wall multiball and winner has come multiball stack and see if we can't get that crazy scoring to occur. and then obviously get it on recording so that Stern can benefit from it and hopefully fix it. so Ross man I assume you saw how Stern confirmed that Iron Maiden is the next pin I believe from what I hear they're going to do the the full reveal on on Tuesday, and then I assume the Jack Danger stream to be that day or sometime shortly after that. So I'm excited to see it, because from what I understand, it's going to be a whole new experience, because it's going to have a lot of new people on the team that we're typically not used to seeing do games of Stern, so I'm excited to see what they come up with. Thank you Alright so we got one hurry up done So remember to get the winner has come multiball we have to hit those winner is coming hurry ups. I just collected one there on the Baratheon targets, but we need to get three more. And that multiball starts automatically once you collect your fourth hurry-up. And the key to the stack is you need to start your fourth hurry-up, don't collect it, start wall multiball, and then collect that fourth hurry-up, and then both multiballs will be running simultaneously. that's the one key to this, uh, to this bug that we're trying to recreate. That's our second one. Now, when I've been practicing before this stream tonight, I've been trying to get, uh, get a couple of hurry ups done. Um, then get my, um, wall multiball, like one or two one or two lane completions away and then then what i do is i complete a couple modes because then that'll increase my uh let's see where we're at okay so we're one away from wall so we'll leave it there so i'm going to complete a couple modes because that'll unlock my the rest of my multipliers and then what i've been trying to do is play a black water multiball and get my and just use that to get my multipliers up and then start the stack and then um see what see if we can't get that crazy scoring to happen all right ow you dummy being impatient see again i'm gonna try and start a couple modes here unlock my multipliers. So the quickest modes I've been able to complete and get these multipliers unlocked is Breathing and Start. So if you're just at home trying to work through the modes, this is a good double mode stack to get completed really quickly. I usually backhand the right ramp, backhand the center ramp, hit the left orbit, or miss. Oh boy. Orbit. Next is Dragon. Oh wait, I didn't hit the Zac Stark shots enough. Now hit the Orbit. Okay, so now Zac Stark's done. Now we gotta hit the Dragon. Or with Hmm Okay with honey time left, thicker time gotta get on that right flipper oh yeah that was a nice little there we go now I'm very happy that things done so we completed two modes so that lights our swords on the right ramp to unlock the next level of multiplier So we're going to have two swords on that right ramp to collect. There's one sword. Two swords. Now we're going to lock another ball here. Like I said, I want to get to multiball. So I'm going to pass on modes because I don't want to accidentally get the hand of the king because it's just going to interrupt my progress to this multiball stack. Before we get to blackwater multiball, I want to collect my third hurry up. That way we only need one more. Oh, there we go. Alright, so that's three hurry ups. Oh, I walked out. All right, so ball three, we've got to get some work done. So I've got three hurry-ups done. My last hurry-up I save for the center ramp because it's easy to just loop that center ramp, get that hurry-up going, and then start wall multiball. So I think at the start of this ball, I'm going to get wall multiball lit at the dragon, then play my black water multiball, get my multipliers up, then start my last hurry-up and start the stack. Oh, come on. Okay. Okay, so wall's lit. But again, we don't want to start it yet. We want to start multiball first. Get our multipliers up. So I'm just going to hit the ram. This entire multiball, all I'm going to do is hit the ram. Pass on modes. I am not a bug, everyone. I am not a bug. I am not a bug. I just figured people would want to see me play more Game of Thrones after I recorded this for 10 hours straight. Oh I am not getting near as far on the multiplier as I thought I would Now we making some progress here That's pretty good. Okay, so now we want to get the center ramp going for the hurry up. Now we want to hit the dragon. Alright, so we start... so now to complete the stack I want to hit the center ramp after this multiball starts. Yeah, man, Dwight told me he wants to revisit the code. Okay, there's his stat. Now, from what my buddy told me is, one of the most important parts of this is getting an add-a-ball from the pops and consistently hitting jackpots, which is easier said than done for me because I'm not the greatest at this multiball. Especially when the super jackpot gets to the dragon. It's really hard for me to hit that. Okay, there we go. You can see the ball saver is going for a very long time. Ball saver is still going. So I think we're pretty much experiencing this bug right now. Super Jack-o'-Lantern Well, it looks like I did it there a little bit. What did we get? Okay. So, no idea how I scored all those points. But that's essentially what we were trying to do there.
