## Transcript

This week on the program, one half of your current undefeated reigning best pinball podcast twippy winner, the Electric Batcast, it's Kale Hernandez. And everyone's favorite official non-sponsored Diet Coke fanatic, it's Jamie Burchill. And a man whose hands are sweatier than a teenager at his first middle school dance, it's Retro Ralph. This week on the JBS Roundtable. And Retro Ralph, we are very excited to be here today. And I want to give a quick shout out to Glenn Glenn Waechter, our announcer. How good is he, guys? I mean, he's pretty good, man. My hands are really sweaty. They're sweating right now because I'm so nervous. I like him. And shout out to his entire team, Kale, for Montreux League Hockey. I guess they sold the rights to Ramps. Is that what happened? Ramps is building a hundred. Oh, yeah. That's official. Oh, cool. Congrats. That's awesome. Do you think they're getting paid? Very cool. I would hope so. Oh, his wife is making shrimp. That looks good. Well, yeah. Don't you think they wouldn't do it for free, right? Oh, man. Oh. That looks really good. Rachel just grilled some shrimp for the first time. Did you taste it? No, it was hot, but it looks hot. She's amazing. You did a fan. That looks amazing. That's great. Yeah, Rams is doing 100 of the Montreal League Hockeys. So I haven't been paying attention to the news. Is that really happening? And what if somebody wants one of these? Are they spoken for? Can you get on a list? How does that work? Ramps Pinball. Wow. So good. I hope they get paid. Yep. I would hope so. I mean, who's doing it for free? Why would they not get paid? We really hope they make money. No, but okay, you weren't trying to say like they're doing it for free. You're just saying that we hope they make some money. Sometimes I don't need a translator when you say stuff. That's what I meant to say. Yeah, I hope they make money. Got it. I'm right. All right. Thank you for the correction. I just hope they're having a great time. Does this mean road trip is delayed? I have no idea about road trip. No one cares about that? They're doing 100 Monster League Hockey. I'm thinking they're probably better off with Monster League Hockey than Road Trail. What if this becomes Ramps' deal? They just make games for other people? Make homebrews. I mean, of course, they couldn't be tied to a known IP, but I don't know. Okay. It's probably an opening for Ramps. Yeah, who knows? Let's talk about the bat and the Retro Arcade and Eureka Heights all have these two pinball machines recently. Just got a Beetlejuice and Pokemons. And let's talk about how Beetlejuice is doing. How's it doing at the bat? Well, as for how is it doing, there are only two locations in Arizona that have Beetlejuice and it's Ralph's Garage. And Electric Bat Arcade. So let's talk about how it's doing in Ralph's Garage. How much has it earned? You know, Kale, it hasn't earned a whole lot. It's costing money, but I think I have, I'm at like 135 plays on it. So I got a decent amount of plays on it so far. It's holding up. I had one problem and Bugs sent in a fix for me. The Dante's Inferno ramp. Uh-huh. The plastic, the ball keeps getting, like, hung up under the plastic every now and then. It's like every now and then if there's not enough speed coming around that corner, it'll get stuck. And I've, like, moved it around, and he's just sending me a new one. So he's sending me a new plastic for it. That ramp is on the left? Is that correct? The left, yeah. Yep. Okay. But that one at Eureka doesn't do that, right? And yours doesn't at the bat, right? Yeah. So I just. I mean, you know, I haven't I haven't really paid attention or played the game that much. There are a couple of ball traps. We're kind of working out, but that particular one you're talking about, I have not noticed. Yeah, you would probably know because people would be coming to you saying the ball stuck or whatever. I mean, because you can shake it out usually, but you'll tilt. So, right, right. But he's he's fixing it for me. So all good. Other than that, it's been it's been good. And, you know, it's a little bit of a learning curve getting into that game. And I think, Jamie, you saw that from the first time you played it. There's a little bit of a learning curve. But once you get it down, it's pretty fun. The one at the bat, Beetlejuice, people are loving it. But it's the only one on location in Arizona. So, of course, there are a lot of people showing up to play this game. And it is getting a lot of plays. I think it's about 1, 500 right now. I just checked it before. Yeah, I checked it before I got here. And it holds up great, 1, 500 plays, no worries. We've had – You have no issues yet? I have yet to take the glass off of it. Nice. Other than to deal with a stuck ball. But, yeah, no issues. That's good, man. Yeah, it's amazing. Great job. We'll have to keep updated on that. Yeah, Eureka's great. They had to take it a little bit from the show. It only got 450 plays at the show, so not bad, right? They got a show game. And tinkered it a little bit. The Dante's Inferno ramp, you couldn't backhand, which we saw at the show a little bit, Ralph. So they've tinkered with that and tinkered with the left orbit shot and it's perfect. Playing great. Yeah, the only negative feedback I'm getting is you can't use that spooky speak. Is that what it's called? Yeah, spooky speak. Too loud in there, huh? Yeah, but like I don't know if it's the room size or just interference from other games, but even when I'm there in the morning when nobody's there playing anything, I even like I tested it by turning the stereo off. So it's like nothing making any noise. It still doesn't really work. And I told Bug, I don't care. I mean, it's fine. It's kind of like an experimental thing. And he hasn't gotten back to me, but I mentioned maybe trying a shotgun mic because some people have gotten it to work, but they kind of have to – they're sitting at the game, but they have to walk around to the side of the game and yell into that little microphone. And that microphone, it just looks like something you would have at like an office conference room or something. Yeah, that's what it is. It's actually a conference table mic. Correct. And it's not directional. Like a shotgun mic would be directional. And from a design standpoint, if you know where the person is, which is the player, and you know the general area besides somebody's height, a shotgun mic, unless there's something I'm missing here, Ralph, you might have some input on that. You're kind of an audio-video guy. The shotgun mic kind of makes sense to me instead of like a general-purpose conference room microphone. Yeah. I mean the thing says – like I went and looked at the stats on the mic a while like when it came out because I was thinking to myself, hey, could someone just go buy this mic and plug it in, which they can do. Is it just USB? Yeah, it's a USB mic. It's like a $40 mic if you were to buy it, like 30-something bucks. They claim on the literature of the mic that it's a 20-foot range, but I mean it works okay in my garage, but it was pretty rocky when the first code release came out. The latest code release, I feel like they've kind of buttoned it up. It's working a lot better, but yeah, I haven't had any problems, but I'm just wondering if there's too much ambient noise and it's just maybe more for a house setting. I mean, I don't know. I think that's the issue, but either way, I mean that's the only complaint because people are like, why is that not working? Because, you know, on parts of the game where it asks, hey, say Beetlejuice, you know, Bug did tell me to go ahead and turn that off because it's not going to work in an arcade. But the fact that it sometimes has worked for some people and sometimes not, I kind of left it on just so people could have fun with it. Because you can also just hit the action button or the lock bar button. I don't think Spooky calls it as an action button. Same at Eureka. Yeah, whatever. Guys, same sound issues. So they turn theirs off. The only other complaint has been like a rules thing where, Ralph, you know, or maybe even Jamie, there's a mode where you have to. Charades? You have to match the matching game? Well, not that one, but just the one where you like before you start doing anything, you have to hit the lock bar button to do something with the sandworm. Oh, yeah. So like there's a part where the sandworm, it'll say like, what do you call it? Spam the action button and then the sandworm will like come down. He'll come down and then you can shoot it. Yes. OK. But you don't always have to do that. Just certain times. Right. So in that part of the game, and this is just like a code thing, people don't know what to do because it's a new game and people are playing it. So they're looking at the play field, you know, and they just sit there and like, what's going on? I said that in my review, too, when I did it. And there is you can play with it and see if people like it. Bug shut it off. There are call outs in it, but you've got to go into the service menu to turn them on. They didn't like the way they came out, so they just don't use them. But if you turn them on, you'll find I think the people playing will because there'll be parts where it's like, shoot the sandworm, shoot the sandworm. And it'll take. That makes so much that that's desperately needed because unless you're looking at the display, it's not telling you what to do. And that's what I said in my review. I was like, because, you know, I'm trying to learn the game. So I'm looking at the play field and you don't you know, you don't really have time and no one was with me. But it wasn't until Rudy came over where he's like telling me. And then we just happened to be playing in the code and I saw something that said, I can't remember what it's called in the menu, something call-outs. And I was like, I wonder why it's off. And then when I streamed it, Bug came into the live stream. He's like, no, no, because they don't like them. They don't like the call-outs, so they didn't really want me streaming them. I mean, not that they didn't say don't stream it, but they were like, they don't feel like it's a good representation. Because it's like a British guy. He's like, shoot the sandworm. It's kind of weird. It doesn't. Oh, weird. Yeah. It's a British dude. So are they recording new callouts or what's going on there? So I think they're facing a similar thing to what like Jersey Jack did with Harry Potter, where like they basically said, look, if you're using a character for callouts, he can only say the things that he said in the movie. So if you say like multiball, like, sorry, can't say that. So I guess they recorded a guy that was an impersonator and he was doing all the normal callouts that we would say, lock, lit, multiball, whatever. Mm-hmm. And they came back and they were like, well, Michael Keaton doesn't say those things in the movie. So feel free to have him say anything he says in the movie, but not anything relating to pinball. So you could only do it with a character that wasn't in the movie, I guess. And so that's why they hired some dude. I don't remember where they hired him from. But my question is, are they going to rerecord those or do something else? Because if they don't like those and they're not turning them on by default, then where are the callouts? I thought he said it was a minor. They basically don't have callouts. They use a minor character, but not like Winona Ryder. Yeah, he did say that, but he didn't really clarify what a minor character would be, but I guess it's one that you probably wouldn't want doing a callout. The older lady would cut up and smoke, and that would be cool. Missed out fire. Yeah, I guess you could. Yeah. Why is my is your guys's screens bouncing around everywhere? Is that just me? That that's just you. OK, it's weird. You guys keep like flip flopping, but I don't know. I'll just leave it alone. It's probably something Jamie doing. I'm sure it's all going to go to shit. Speaking of how great is this webcam? I finally. So I've been using the Osmo Pocket 3 for all my reels. And I realized, you know what, you could use this as a webcam and it just looks so much better. You who taught you that? You. Yeah. By the way, you've had this for two years. I can't even believe this. So you've been having Hale and I endure your shitty video and you could have made it better all this time. Not only here, but also in your reels. It's like you smeared Vaseline all of your iPhones. Yeah, it's weird. But I'm glad you got it. Thank you. We're glad it's something to talk about. Good job. All right, so that's a bow on Beetlejuice. How's Pokemon doing at both locations as well? Holy crap. So Pokemon, I don't know if you guys, we got two of them. We have a premium and a pro. There's usually somebody on both of them. Excuse me. It. The I don't know which one does. You know, Rachel keeps up with all the numbers, but. And she talked about it on the latest back cast, but we didn't have a whole month of Pokemon numbers yet. So she's pretty sure it's going to beat. I think the last record for earnings in one month was Elton John. And I think this is going to beat that. Oh, wow. Pokemon. So it's going to be Fall of the Empire 2 then. Oh, it already has. Yeah. Well, that was interesting because remember the last time I talked to you, you said it was a little bit of a slow start, but I guess it caught up once people realized it was there. The Pokemon? Yeah. So like it even beat out the Papa Shot, which has. No way. And that thing's been like the champ, right? And the last month that Papa Shot won, it earned exactly two times as much as Foti. Wow. Okay. Fall of the Empire for you not enlightened folks. Damn. Yeah, so Pokemon. So Pokemon's killing it basically. It is. And just like with, you remember when we got D&D? We were talking about how lots of people we've never seen before showing up. Pokemon is just eclipsing that. There are all these people we've never seen before that are hanging out at the arcade because they know Pokemon's there. That's cool. And it's so great that we have two copies because, you know, it feels weird when you come to a new place and there's that one game you want to play and, you know, it's freaking occupied. Yeah. This way there's usually one open or somebody's at least finishing the game. You can at least get on one without having to wait too long. Correct. Yeah. That's cool. That's good. Yeah. And I think it's a fun game. You know, of course, it needs in dire need of code because, I mean, there are so many people that are just running through it, all the code that's there. But they're still – they keep playing it, though. They're having a great time with it. It's a beautiful-looking game, and it's fun, and people are really, really enjoying it. Did you put it in the tournament last Tuesday? Yeah. Oh, yeah, we've been. And it's not been like too long of a player during the tournament or anything? No. Oh, that's good. And I haven't done anything weird. I haven't like removed stuff or, you know, Jack did it, put four inch leg levelers or anything. Did you put Beetlejuice in the tournament? Okay. No, we can't. It plays way too long, right? Way too long. Do you think if you shut off some of the ball saves you could? Yeah, I guess. I just haven't gotten into it. So we watched some experienced players play it, and then we watched some newer players play it, and we were just like, this is not going to work. We're all going to be sitting around waiting. Yeah, it has a lot of ball saves. Like they have one that they, the Juno Scoop, the code, and I don't know if the new one does it, but the old code still did it. I'm sure they're still doing it. But the Juno Scoop sometimes will fire out fast and go straight down the middle. And it automatically turns a ball saver on for that. And there's a couple other scenarios you can get into where your ball saver will go on automatically too. I almost feel like if you were going to put it in tournament, you'd have to shut that off, I think. I was just curious. And we may do that. Eureka's struggling. Do they keep it in or not? Are they having the problem with the long ball times? Yeah. Yeah, and we don't hate that. You can't have Scooby. Maybe you can play that for as long as you wanted to. They already have Scooby. They are now Beetlejuice. And now Evil Dead. These play long. It is what it is. All right. Back to Pokemon. Yeah. Ralph, you're loving it, right? I am. I'm having a good time with it, but I'm but I said it on my podcast today. Kind of what Kale just said. I feel like I've done all the things now, though, like that that proves that it's really shallow code. If I can get on a game and basically get through all the modes, get to the mini wizard mode. I think there's only one battle I didn't do, but for the most part, I've seen everything now. But it's still fun. I love the whole dynamic of catching the Pokemon and all that stuff. My biggest thing is, dude, we keep saying it. It's the achievements. I want the achievements. I want to be able to have the Pokedex on my phone. I've gotten really into this. And even though it's a little bit embarrassing that I've gotten this into it, but I want to see the damn Pokemon on my phone. I want to see the damn thing. Call your phone real quick. Let's go to Insider Connect. Let's do this. I want to test. Okay. Ladies and gentlemen, you can do this at home as well. Go to Insider Connect, your little app on your phone, and then wait forever. Yeah, wait forever for the server to load. Wait for Amazon. Go to games in the upper right-hand corner. Okay, you act like you're a pro at this navigating Insider Connected. All right, I'm there. View all games. Even though you call it Insider Connected. Pokemon. All right, click on Pokemon. I got it. How many games have we played? Let's start with Kale Hernandez. Games played. And this is not a joke. I'm at 89. Oh, damn. That's a good amount. Okay. I'm 101. What's our highest score? Nobody cares what the latest score, but what's our highest score? Kale Hernandez. Yeah, well, Kale Hernandez. Who's going to go first? Do I go first? 218 million and some change. 272 and change. All right, Jamie. 261, 856. God damn, you beat me, Jamie. Yeah. By what? 10 grand by 10, 000? Now, I do have one game on the launch code, and it's not fair. I mean, I had like 400 million, but the scoring was all crazy. And what's your average score? All right, well, we were all pretty close. My average score is 77 million. So that's really good. It's an average score. You're doing very, very well. So just think about how cool this will be, Stern, or really Pokemon once you just accept this email and get these damn achievements ready. Because I've had it with it. Okay? I mean, it's not Stern's fault. What do you guys think, though? How long do you think it's going to be? Like, Kale, you sometimes get this scoop on this. Like, where's the code? Like, are we going to get something soon? They we have no idea. They've been waiting for approvals for a long, long time. They have achievements ready. It's just kind of like the Walking Dead deal. They you know, when they when they count when the accountants are like, you need to ship this thing. We need some money to come in. They got to do it. And so, yeah, there are updates been ready. They could be any time. Like if they got approval tomorrow, it could be like the next day or whatever. Yeah, it could be any time. Yeah, man. But this just I mean, how long before we get to 1.0? It's going to be like two years forever. I mean, what what the problem? The problem is you're dealing with the largest IP in the entire world. This is like small potatoes to them, right? Yeah. Nothing. They're making somewhere between 50 and 100 bucks a machine. They're probably making more money putting, you know, Squirtle on their thermos. You know, it's hard to get these guys to answer the phone, right? I'm glad they did it. But I'm glad they did it because it's a fabulous game and it's a wonderful IP. I think it might be the best IP in the history of pinball. I mean, it's the largest IP. It's bringing – I mean, they are selling a shit ton of games. There are already a few thousand out there at people's homes or on the street. I mean this is huge This is huge I having a great time with it I love it When I go to Eureka it the first game I play right And I at Eureka Saturday night for a birthday party My buddy Chris Palace he listens 40th birthday party And there a little boy on Pokemon right His dad comes over puts the credit card number Yeah Puts the credit card on The kid goes I look the father putting five credits at a time On this machine. All right. So I'm like, well, this kid's going to be playing Pokemon forever. Forget it. I'll go play something else. Every time I turn around, this child, this 10 year old boy is on Pokemon. Right now, I don't mind for the first half an hour, 45 minutes, but now we're at an hour. OK, so I go up and I'm like, I'm putting my quarters up. F this, man. I'm putting quarters up. OK. Okay. Yeah. So you just you just decided that this 10 year old is going to know what that means, you think? Okay. Right. Okay, Ralph. I walk up to the kid. Why are you getting a bully to a 10 year old kid? Like I didn't say, can I get a quarter up? Because he doesn't know what a quarter up is. Can I get the next game? And he goes, I've got like four left. And so I'm like, forget it. This kid's just printing money for Eureka Heights, which is fantastic. But I just want to catch Pokemon before I leave. What if he had a light on the game at the same time? But anyway, the dad comes back over and drops another $5 on it for five more games. So I look at the dad and I go, this kid's addicted to Pokemon, huh? And he goes, yes. He won't play anything else in the entire arcade. This is all he wants to play. And I go, I got to tell you, I got a quarter up. And the guy started laughing his ass off and he goes, after these games, your quarter is up. And I said, all right, cool. So there's my story. Beautiful. We can all get along. It doesn't matter. Age, gender, nationality. He probably put 50 bucks in that game and good for him. Blast. And he was having a blast, wasn't he? He was getting better. He was catching Pokemon. That's cool. That's cool to see. So I was like, this is badass. This is great. But I got a quarter up, kid. Yeah. So I will say when I was at the Pokemon launch, I couldn't go to the bat one because I couldn't. I had something to do that Sunday, last Sunday. But I went to the Tilt Games one. And there were like three kids, little kids, kind of, in the tournament. And like one of them, she was playing really good. I was like, holy crap. Like she was getting it down. She was nudging the machine. She was even like dead bouncing a little bit. I'm like, damn, this little girl's good. And there was these other two little girls and they didn't have like real control of the ball too much yet, but they still were doing pretty well. It's just cool to see. Like, I love it when I see these little kids playing because I'm like, man, that means they're into it now. And I asked one of their dads, I was like, hey, does she just like coming? And the dad's like, actually, she'll only play in a tournament. She won't play unless it's a tournament. She doesn't have time for that other shit. That's awesome. I go, will she practice? And he goes, no. She'll just go, it's not a tournament. I'm not playing. Which is funny as hell, right? Yeah. She has a profile on IFPA and everything. All right. While we're still on Stern, boys, let's talk about the remasters. There might be some rumors or something that we're hearing. What are we hearing? Are we hearing anything about remasters? Well, I think we're going to see at this point like ACDC this year and maybe those Boomer Juggalo band next year. But after that, what makes sense, right? That's the discussion. So I did a little bit of research on this, and I pulled all the Sam games, and then I pulled where they rank on a pin side. And I know that's all subjective people say. And then what active, like how active this, whatever this property is in social, in like pop culture. And the interesting thing is if I went straight by that, the game that they should make, now again, there's probably could be licensing reasons why they can't, would be Star Trek. And it says because there's Starfleet Academy, which is a show, and then there's one called Strange New Worlds, which is a continued show. So it was saying from a pop culture and popularity perspective, that would be the best mix of franchise visibility and enthusiast love for the game. The second one that it came up with, based on that criteria, would be ACDC. And it says because ACDC has active tour dates this year and it's just a mass audience appeal for that band and it transcends generations. So it would be one that just makes perfect sense. And then now it gets a little fuzzy from here because technically speaking, like if it kind of like I gave a lot of this data, I put like the basic stuff together and I gave some of it to ChatGPT just to kind of see if I was like even, But one of the things that was interesting is it was like Iron Man would Iron Man was like kind of a question. And then the other one that they said would be great, but probably wouldn't be great for timing unless they could have timed it around the stuff that's going on with Game of Thrones. But it didn't rank them that way. It ranked them Star Trek based on kind of the data I gave it, ACDC. And then if it was going based on just pop culture relevance and stuff, it was saying Tron or Spider-Man, which I thought was interesting. But then it goes then you look at the next games after that, right? It's like Transformers, but we know they're doing a Transformers modern, so they're not going to redo that. It definitely poo-pooed the crap out of Avatar. It ranked Kiss really low. And X-Men was actually like number seven. And it said they, you know, obviously they because of the X-Men 97 season two is scheduled for this summer. It's back in, you know, it's going to be back in the news. But it was like, you know, I can't imagine they'd do that just because they just did an X-Men. So that's probably out. But what do you guys think of that? Like ACDC Tron, like those kind of make sense. But I feel like they missed the boat on Tron. They could have aligned that with the movie. Right. Man, I'm I'm feeling I'm feeling Star Trek. Man, that is first. I mean, I think Star Trek two would be awesome. Actually, could you imagine a Spike three Star Trek? That's that's a that's a mind blowing game. That's a great game. That's a fun game. It has cool rules. That would be that would be awesome. Well, and there's no prior vault of that game. So like there's no there's no like reason to not do it. Right. Now, I guess it would have to come down to cost, but I think they I think they did vault that game. Did they vault it? OK, well, we have to get into what vault means. Back in the day, vaulting used to mean like you get a vault edition. Yeah, they would they would they would put it back on the line and get a vault edition because the last run of that game, they had special badges on there. I think it was for like an anniversary, I think. But there were because I mean, we were selling them and taking all the shows. They had a little badge on there. And I think that was considered a vault just so we don't confuse everyone. Yeah, which vault now means it's no longer going to be made for some period of time. Correct. They're putting it into a vault, like what's in there, Foo Fighters and some other games. Yeah, is Iron Maiden now vaulted, I think? I don't know. Yeah, I think it is. But what's crazy is I didn't really realize that Starfleet Academy was still ongoing. So I think that's – and then there's something coming out. There's so much. You don't have Paramount+. Oh, sorry. Starfleet Academy is premiering January – or premiered January 15th, 2026, but then the Strange New Worlds thing is still going on, I guess. There's a whole new show, and all of it – if you're a Star Trek fan and you don't have Paramount+, you're missing out. And everything Star Trek is on there. The old every television show, every movie it is. I mean, I think that would be a great game as long as they don't phone it in like they did on Walking Dead. I mean, like really put time into it, you know, new animate, like really use that big display, new animations. That would be I think that would be a hit. But I think aren't we seeing like all the signs still point to ACDC though? Like that's kind of what we feel like it is, right? Even though I would like Star Trek over ACDC personally. I think it's ACDC and then KISS from what I'm hearing or reading. What's interesting is I did some research on Kiss. Kiss is ranked a lot lower, but it says there's nothing really going on Kiss-related that puts it in the news right now. So I don't know. That one you'd just be purely banking on nostalgia. Yeah, and it's a good game. Remake. Yeah. I mean, then if you go the other Sams, wasn't Batman Dark Knight was Sam, right? And you said Spider-Man, which has already been vaulted, the old meaning of vaulted, and they have a good relationship with Marvel? Well, and here's the reason for Spider-Man, because the brand new day premieres July 31st. So that's this year. So there's gonna be a new Spider-Man movie this year. So it's like you got like a heating up brand. Actually, it's probably still hot when you think about it. So that that's kind of like, I don't know that if you if your top four would be Star Trek, AC, DC, Tron and Spider-Man. That's your top four. Now, this is the interesting thing because the way time works, it's linear, right? We think. There's only so – the well is not that deep. Yeah. Like at some point, there's – what do we even do? They'll do CSI. I don't know. World Poker Tour, right? You know what would be amazing? Simpsons. Pinball party. Oh, that's true. Yeah. But it's fun. You know, it's just it's fascinating conversation. People wanted us to talk. So what do you guys think between you guys? Like knowing that that's probably the likely top four, what would you think it's going to be? Is it ACDC? What was your run of the? Oh, I'm pretty damn sure it's going to be ACDC this year. Yeah, they got a thing for just these music. I don't know. I wouldn't. I'm not interested in that because I feel like the last ACDC isn't that old, right? Was it 2012-ish? That's Gary's jam. Yeah. Music pins. Jody, that's his jam. He came from the music industry. And they hit a home run with Metallica and they're trying to figure out how to do that again. Yeah, but they need to add the concert footage. Like you would have to add all the new concert footage for ACDC like you did with Metallica. You need to do something because you can't just all of a sudden spit it out. You need to do something. Yeah. I think people are going to like it. I mean, you can change the art. You have to change it all. Right. Yeah. I guess I like Metallica a lot more than ACDC as a game, but that's just my personal opinion. So, like, I'm not as excited about that. I'd be more excited for this. That's just me. Yeah. Did Jamie go? No, his camera does a thing. We knew that happened when we were chatting before you came on. So we were aware of this. We're aware of this. I didn't know. He's got the scales of justice behind him. Why are you like – why are we just seeing your head now? It's different. Is there ever an episode where there isn't a technical issue that's caused by Jamie Kale? It's pretty much every time, right? No, and that's why we welcome it. So it seems like the Osmo loses connectivity and he has to reconnect it. It's like how the USB-Cs fall out of those light boards on JJPs on location. Maybe your USB's falling out. It's pissed me off. Keep talking. But the what are the. Yeah. So like, where are we? We're going to see ACDC. We're going to see the Boomer Juggalo band. And then after that, what's what's going on? What are they going to do? As far as after all these after remastered. Oh, as far as remastered. Do you think do you think that a remaster has to be like, Like, do you think they're internally at Stern? They say, OK, we just started this whole remaster thing a couple of years ago. It's just Sam era. Or do you think that they would go through all the Sam era games and then move on to the next ones? Or could we possibly see them remaster something that's even like a bit newer? Like a Godzilla? Well, well, everyone keeps saying this like rumor about that. And I have no idea where it even came from. This like gold edition of Godzilla. But I don't know. Would that even be considered a remaster? Or do you think they'll just call it Gold Edition? They'll just be done, you know? Yeah, I don't know. I mean, I think they could sell them, so it kind of makes sense. I mean, to me, I think there'd be still a lot of demand for it if they made it. And especially if they made it, like, very unique and different like they did with the Jaws 50th. Because Jaws 50th, I heard, sold awesome. Like, it sold really well. Yep, and that's a great game. Yeah, and I mean, so is Godzilla. I don't know. But I don't know, man. Like, I'm wondering if they would, like, remaster some, like, a more modern game. Like, I think Jamie would lose his shit if they remastered Batman 66. We can't hear you, Jamie. We can't hear him now. You're muted, buddy. Fuck off. There we go. Did you hear what I said? What if they remastered Batman? Batman 66 would be just incredible, a remake there. But how do you – now you've got different art. That's a whole – yeah, that's a whole bunch of things because you're never going to get – Plus, that's not even their game, though. Is it not? No, that's Joe Cameco. That's his license. So they probably couldn't do it anyway. No, I mean, they could just get with him and see if he does the leg work and they do the manufacturing. We'll see. All right, let's put a bow on Stern. What did we learn about JJP's next game? What was it, Pintastic this weekend? Yeah, so I needed to scour the internet really fast to read through Knapp Arcade's article, but there was like a bunch of stuff that came out of that thing. Do you want me to just do quick call-outs of it? Let's do some quick shout-outs to our boy Jason Knapp at Knapp's Arcade. Thank you. He's a fantastic seminars and he put it in a nice little bow for us. Go ahead, Ralph. Yeah. So he said he said during his in his write up that it was basically talked about enough that it was like without a shadow of a doubt, the next game is Sonic. So that that came out. The other thing that came out that Steve Ritchie was heard talking about that this is the fastest game he's ever made. So that gets me excited because Sonic, Speed, those kind of go hand in hand. So that could be very cool. I don't know where this came from. This was not presented as official, but the writer says they personally believe – oh, this is Nap. They personally believe Sonic could be sometime in June. So that's the time frame. Yeah, it's going to release at the – in Atlanta. Southern Pride Gaming Expo. That's the plan. And, you know, who knows what actually happens? Mark Seiden confirmed that he's working on his next game. And Jack, of course, who likes to talk, said that he played Mark's layout and thought it was really great. That's all. So, I mean, he's not really going to say he thinks it sucks, but he says he thinks it's really great. And I'm not saying it's not sure it is great. Don't spend another dime. Yeah, he's like, don't spend another dime until the next one. They're like, oh, crap. No, I'm excited for another Mark Seiden game because I really liked Avatar, even though I know it's not everyone's favorite. They said it not said that Mark Seiden's game could be a music pen is what he's hearing. I know. He said it could be a music theme. Hmm. Now, here's the most interesting thing that I think you guys will want to talk about, because there's not a lot of detail on this, and I don't understand what the hell this could be. And it is one of the other show topics. And I didn't get a chance to look at it. Look at what they filed. JJP filed a patent related to A.I. for pinball and gaming. Yeah. What the hell could that be? No idea. I don't know. Nothing just said Jack said they're filing they're filing the he just said they're filing this patent. That's it. Like they don't know the details of it. So I don't know if they probably haven't filed it yet because I'm sure Knapp would have gone and looked at the patent and figured out what it is. Totally. He's a sleuth like that. Yeah. And also, I mean, what what does that mean? I mean, it could mean a million things. John Wick supposedly had a. But it really didn't. It was just a marketing term, you know. So mess. Yeah. But how I can't even imagine how you would use a. I don't know. Maybe you're talking to the machine and doing stuff. That's cool. Let's see it. I'm all for it. I mean, I guess you could have some AI in the sense like the code could do something. I mean, this would piss off tournament players, but like the code could change like in a mode. You know what I mean? Like it could do different things based on how you're shooting it. But like that could be – I could see them using AI for that because like it would adapt to what you're doing like potentially. Or it knows you keep missing a shot, so it's going to like put the ball – I don't know. That's where I feel like they could use AI, but I don't know how I feel about that. That's just like one thing I thought of, but I don't know. But you wouldn't even need AI for something like that. I mean you could code – what you're talking about, you could just code into a game. But what if you did something like, but what if you did said like, maybe this is a better, maybe a better way of putting it. What if you had the game on location at the bat and it would adapt to the players at the bat? Do you know what I mean? Like it would potentially make the game harder because the players are better. And it could like, and then if there was time periods where it was during the day and people suck at it, it could like tune itself back to like the non good player setting. I don't know. That's just one thing I could think of. Well, if it could recognize your face and go, oh, it's Jamie. Let's put it on easy mode. That's the kind of AI. Okay, this makes sense to me now because on Harry Potter, they debuted this, and I forgot what it's called. You have a key fob or something, and you can hold it up. I can't think of what that's called now. Right. Game changer. You hold it up, and it will set the difficulty level for the player. That's how you use AI. You walk up. Oh, this guy. I don't know if he's ready for something like this. You hit the start button and it starts on easy. You know, I mean, that would be a use for AI. Yeah. I mean, I guess you could have it prompt you like, oh, this is your first time playing. I've never seen you before. Are you a beginner player? And you say yes. And then it tunes everything down to whatever. And then the next time you come up, it recognizes you. I don't know. Yeah, that could be cool. So one interesting thing you keep hearing, and I've heard it from many people, this is the fastest game in the history of pinball. Yeah. So you got to think about that. Like, what the hell is that? What do you mean fastest game? Because, like, I mean, you're still dealing with Jersey Jack flippers. That speed is not going to come from these flippers. I think you're going to see a hyperloop like no one has ever seen before. Absolutely. Like you're going to break something. So you think the speed's going to come from some mech or something in the game? That's the only thing that makes sense. Yeah. I bet you're going to see some gigantic coils with some heavy freaking resistance that are just going to fling multiple balls around at lightning speed. Your eye is not even going to be able to follow this thing. It's going to be a heavy machine is what you're saying. That'd be cool. Yeah. Jersey Jack has the heaviest machines on the planet. With a new power supply. Yeah. Geez. Well, it's going to be awesome, right? Mm hmm. All right. Let's go to American Pinball. Did we want to close the loop on the A.I. topic because we had that other one or do you want to move on? We'll do that later. Oh, the A.I. topic of pushing through. Insider Connect. Yeah, we could probably do it. Sorry. I just figured because we're already talking about A.I. it's kind of like we can do that. Yeah. Why does Stern use AI to speed up software updates? I added that to the notes because I went to – it was some – there was some thread on PinSide, and I very rarely go read all this stuff, but I was – I had some downtime at work, and I was like, let me see what's going on on PinSide. I usually only go to Pennside for like maintenance type stuff, troubleshooting. But of course I went I checked out the Barrels of Fun thread and it seems like there a real disaster going on there and David Van Es even had to come in and chime in and people are wiring stuff backwards But then I went to the Stern, one of the Stern ones, I don't know if it was Pokemon or just what is, I think it was the, what's the next Stern and everybody's complaining about code updates and there's a problem. I'm not blaming Stern. You know, you don't know whether to blame Stern or blame the developers not working fast enough or is the IP holder not picking up the phone or answering emails. But whatever it is, I know us and the fans, the people at home and the people at Stern wishes this would happen faster. But there were so many people, there was a whole conversation about why don't they just use AI? The speed of the development is not the issue, it's approvals. I know for a fact with the Pokemon, everything's ready, it just needs to be reviewed and approved, signed off on. Right. And I mean, I don't really I mean, I don't think that this is why you put it in there, but I feel like I would rather have someone because I'm sure you could train AI to learn about code rules. But I just think you're going to get a much more interesting software package from someone like that understands pinball, you know. So, I mean, I definitely. Oh, yeah. But I do feel like they probably already do. I'm sure they use AI for like helping them fix bugs in the code. That's what I was about to ask, debugging. That's what I would expect because that could speed things up. And I'm sure they do that. They're probably already doing that. Yeah, I would think so. Yeah, because I have a lot of programmer friends and they love AI for that. They put it all in Claude or whatever and they're like, where's the issue here? And AI usually always finds it. Yeah, we did a fun thing at work because we're an engineering company. This was like a year ago though. So our head – he's like the founder of the company. He assembled a team of human engineers and said, I want you guys to code this scenario. Write the code for this. And then he took another group of engineers and said, you guys can only use AI to achieve this goal. And he bet the other dude that was running that team like $1, 000 that the humans would do a better job, and they did. Like the problem was the guys writing the code with AI kept having to do more bug fixes with AI and it did eventually get to the outcome, but it took them like I want to say it was like four or five hours longer. Yeah, because they just kept running into issues that were generated by AI writing like bad code, basically. So so it's kind of it wasn't necessarily bad code. It's like it has to understand what you're trying to do. And they were only able to use AI. It was pretty interesting. Very cool. Yeah. Hey, we jumped around a minute for Stern, but I didn't give you props, Kale, for revealing Dracula. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Oh, people are running with that story, huh? People are running with your story, my friend, that you said that it was an original IP is what you were hearing, and you used your expertise and said Dracula. And now people are running with it. That was just a guess. So Q1. But it makes sense. 2027, we should see Dracula by Brian Eddy. I think that will be the first game for 2027, Brian Eddy, Dracula, apparently. And then what's the other one I heard about? The two guys, Bill and Ted. Bill and Ted. Which is weird. Is that a good IP? Is Bill and Ted a good IP? If you had the phone booth pop up in one spot and then all of a sudden George Carlin, right? George Carlin and then the phone booth pops up somewhere else and releases the ball. I don't know. I mean, that would be pretty cool if you traveled through time through the phone booth like you do in the movie. Like that would be pretty badass. And if they are doing Bill and Ted, who's doing that? What designer? Is that Borg? What makes sense? I mean, what's our schedule looking like right now? You got Elliot Elliot Eismin. Elliot and Elizabeth on Transformers. Then Keith. Okay, then Keith. And then what? We have Remastered. Remastered, so probably Borg since he does them all. And then, yeah, well, then you'd be at your Dracula, right? So you're saying what's after Dracula? Who would be next up? He's asking who's the designer for it. Hmm. I think that makes sense. Borg, because I don't think it's going to be Gomez. Like, right now, I would imagine Gomez is working on a Costco version of Pokemon. Pokemon. Okay. Do you think that, all right, just because we're all friends here, do you think Gomez was like, yeah, I still fucking got it? Like, after Pokemon came. He's like, I still fucking got it. You might not say it, but you know he's thinking it. I think he feels good. George, bitches. Pokemon. I didn't even know what Pokemon was. As long as they have a good relationship with the Pokemon company, this game's going to sell more than Godzilla. Really? Yeah, easy. Yeah, they got to do updates, though. Yeah, it probably will. I mean, it would be because think here's the thing that's crazy about it is like think about all the sales that haven't happened that are going to be these people that get into Pinball and then they find out that there's a Pokemon. That's going to be the game they're going to want, like because there's younger people coming in. They're going to want to buy Godzilla. Yeah, they're going to sell a shitload of them. Yeah, yeah. Shitloads. All right. So we're bouncing around. Sorry about that, ladies and gentlemen. I tried to organize the notes, but, you know, sometimes it doesn't work. American Pinball shooting for six different classic remakes. We know three from Kale Hernandez. We know Circus Voltaire. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold up. That was Ralph. No, no, no, no. That was you. I took the fall for it at TPF. Don't believe him, Brian. Circus Voltaire, World Cup Soccer, Theater of Magic. But we don't know the order. No, no. Oh, see, is that the new one? Well, you just gave them up. You just said that's what you think it is then. Those are the three I thought we were. No, it's. No, no, we didn't know. We were kind of going to guess, right? The next. No, we know the three because it's. Well, they announced Circus Voltaire. Right. Yeah. And then it's going to be Fishtails and then World Cup Soccer. Fishtails. You're darn right. I'm sorry. So you don't. But they didn't say Fishtails, did they? No, but they will once they're ready. What if it's not fishtails? What if it's Theater of Magic, Tales of the Arabian Nights and World Cup Soccer? It's not. Oh. No. It's definitely World Cup Soccer and fishtails. Yeah. You don't think they're going to have Theater of Magic on that list somewhere? No, I know for a fact they're not. Unless they change something. No. No, but you don't mean like over time they could. No, no, no. Okay. These are the ones that already planned, but they said from what I've read that they're going to do six. They have like the licensing for six of them from Rick at Planetary. So why don't we try to figure out what all six are? That's the mission. So let's go. So we know the first three, right? Yeah. All right. Now we have to figure out what the next three are. Now we have to add Theater of Magic to that. That's got to be a given that they're doing Theater of Magic, right? Right. That that makes sense to me. Makes sense. That's my call. It has to be. There has to be theater. That's that's the one. That's one. I'll take that one. Absolutely. What else? I'm going to help you, Jamie. Well, I'm going to help you. I'm giving you a lifeline. No, no, I'm not going to tell you the game. I'm going to give you a lifeline, though. Okay. So it can't be medieval madness. Right. It can't be Attack from Mars. Yeah. It can't be Monster Bash. Correct. And it can't be Fun House. And it can't be Cactus Canyon. It can't be Twilight Zone. And it can't be Twilight Zone. Yeah. Okay. So here's my guess. We're trying to eliminate him, Jamie. Come on, baby. You got this. I'm running out of game. I said it earlier. Do you want me to give you a guess? Go ahead. Yeah, please. Scared stiff. So you already have – isn't Norman? Didn't Norman do scared stiff? Yeah, I think so. Okay. I think he did all of them. You're taking a really long time, Jamie. I can't come up with it. But why would it matter if Norman did it? I mean, Rick holds the rights to it. Oh, that's right. He doesn't have to ask Nordman. Jamie, out of the options I gave you, you don't go to one in particular with like a genie in it? Totan? Yeah. I thought that other company was doing that one. Yeah, that other one was doing Totan. The overseas company. But did we get that confirmation on that? No. All right. Well, all right. So that was the only other one I was thinking. So Jamie, you've got to pick one. I got Whitewater. Well, they could, right? I don't think they are, but they could. I'll tell you one that would be amazing, but I don't know if they can. And it's not like a licensing thing. It's because of the racism. Champion Pub. Oh, OK. Yeah, I didn't even put that on my list. I'm trying to go through thinking of all the – And we could – they couldn't do – they pretty much couldn't do Adam's Family, right? No. Wouldn't that just be like super expensive? It'd just be stupid, right? It wouldn't even – Yeah, you would just go out of business. It doesn't even make sense. Just trying to work shit out, yeah. Isn't there – what about – I don't know. They bought six, and we can't figure them out, ladies and gentlemen. So write us, tell us what you think should be the other two or three that we can't – Aren't you getting into obscure territory at that point? I don't know this game. I've never played this game. Oh, yeah. Like Dr. Dude in his excellent way? That would be amazing. Isn't Roadshow one? Roadshow, you could do Party Zone. The only thing, you just have to stay away from the IPs where you have to get other people. I mean, Harley Davidson, they could probably get that, but that's kind of weird. Corvette. But it actually would be kind of badass if they did Whitewater, right? Wouldn't that be kind of cool if they did Whitewater? Yeah, people love that game, and I don't think very many were made, maybe a few thousand. So then it could be, so if Whitewater was in there, then it'd be Theater of Magic, World Cup Soccer, and Whitewater? Is that the other three? Or could be? That'd be cool. Yeah. That would be kind of badass. Because everyone loves World Cup Soccer. They're of magic school. They should have put World Cup Soccer first and tied it in with the World Cup coming to the United States. That might have been cool. Probably. But, you know, I'm not marketing, so I'm just a recruiter. I don't know. But I probably would have been a good move with, you know, working with the World Cup, getting there. But didn't they choose Circus Voltaire because the Electric Playground guys had already done like a topper or something like that? So I don't know. I don't know if that was good, but they did have they did do that. Yeah. And the topper school. Yeah. So I don't know if that was the reason, but that definitely we didn't ask him that, Jamie. We were hanging out that night, huh? Probably should have. I don't know. Everything else. Yeah, I know. They wouldn't give anything. Robin and Alec wouldn't give us much, but I heard that they are making a music pin. That's the keys that they've collected. It was a music pin and that Mark is working on an IP that American collected, not the one that Electric Playground was working on. A different one. Oh, I forgot to mention about the JJP where they're thinking it might be a music pin, Mark Seiden's game. If it is a music pin, there's a chance it might be Beastie Boys. That came up before. That would be pretty cool, actually. That would be... I'd be down for that. That would be mind-blowing. Pass the mic. Because I've heard from some people that like Stern was messing around, maybe talking to them about doing a pin, but it didn't happen. That would be cool. Yeah, and it may have not happened because somebody else scooped it up. Yeah, and that rumor was floating around that JJP had that a while. I think it was a couple of years ago. So that'd be interesting. So it could have been truth to that. I like that. I hope that's actually what's happening because they probably sell a ton of those. Dude, that would be amazing. That would be absolutely – I'll have to call Jack if that goes down. All right. That's – do you want to talk about barrels? That wasn't all the topics. Hell, yeah. I want to talk about everything. Everything. Let's go around the horn, Jamie. Barrels of Fun, the rumor that was said to me. From two sources, don't get mad at me, Dave Vaness. Here we go. Yeah, baby. He can't get mad at us. No. Harold of Fun was going to release a game at TPF, but they didn't have it ready. Ooh. And so with. This is like Rumorville podcast. We're doing nothing but Rumorville. But, dude, but here's the thing. Like, they don't even have, like, 100 Winchesters built. How would they have. When would that have. When would they have even made it if they. There's no way they were ready. Yeah, there's no way. Don't shoot the master. It doesn't – well, that just shows that they need money because you don't have to build them. You want to get the deposits in. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And so if they announce something and get some excitement, you know, like – the rumors are Dungeon Crawler Carl and the never-ending story. I don't know how much excitement that would bring, but I do believe another game designed by Carl would excite people enough to sell 500 machines and that would get more deposits in. You know, it's actually kind of scary that they want to jump. Like, that's a good point, Ralph. Like, why are they doing this? Why are they trying to, like, fast track games? The scary part is it kind of makes you think they're hurting. No, I don't take it that way. I'm just taking it that they were excited. They had something very, very close, what the person told me, but they didn't want to rush it, and it's not ready yet is what I mean. Well, and if that's true, kudos, because they do need to take more time and fully bake these games. You don't want another Dune, right? Yeah, not that launch. You want a good, great launch. And so sorry if that's true that they missed out on TPF, but, you know, kudos to holding it back. And let's see. Let's make sure it's ready. Yeah, I don't know about NeverEndingStory. I keep hearing that, but I don't again. But that seems like such a such a barrels of fun license, don't you think? Without a doubt. I mean, it just feels like it when you've done based on the fact that he was into Labyrinth, you know, and then we heard a whole bunch of other things that were like that fantasy realm that he was tossing out there. So I feel like that's what he's into. You know, I think Dungeon Crawler Carl makes a little more sense. That I think would do much better than Neverending Story. Yeah. All right. And then our last thing, if we're going around to all the manufacturers, just for shits and giggles, Turner, you order one today, you'll get one in November of 2027. Well, it's going to be a while. I say that it's going to be a while. It's going to be a long time. Well, and that's fine. That's fine. Because that will give them time to tune it up. Did you guys see, did any of you watch any of the content from Pintastic? Like I saw they streamed the game again. And so have they updated any of the music or sound that you guys have seen? I haven't seen anything. They streamed it at Pintastic? I don't know if it was at Pintastic. Yeah, I didn't watch anything. It was part of his – it was part of NAPS article. It might have been just an older video he pulled up. But I know they just recently streamed it again. I want to see if any of that music has been updated or the sound effects. But since that was the main complaint coming out of TPF, everyone loved the game. They just felt like the music and the sound effects were kind of just weird. But some of the sound effects were actually decent. I think it was more than music. So you guys have probably heard it, too, that they're trying to get Dirty Pool, Jeff, to do the sound. Is that an actuality? I should just ask him. But they didn't get him. They used the Cleland sound guy. Maybe you guys know this guy. I only know him because he made the mod for Stranger Things. So I only knew of him because of that. So I got the code for the Stranger Things to have like the movie code and some of the music and stuff. But he's the guy that it at least that's what I saw, that he's the one they're going to work with. But I don't know what his credentials are outside of making like mods for pinball machines. I think Ralph's the one that started the Dirty Pool pinball. Jeff Dodson, too. No, it was just a suggestion. I didn't say it. No suggestion. On the live podcast. People run with it. It tends to happen with us. It's kind of wild, right? It tends to happen. Isn't it weird? Hey, real quick, before we get to the other topics, kudos to you two boys and myself for something real quick. The Pinball Roundtable Live at TPF, which is hard to do live when Kale's not with you and such, And such. But it is the most downloaded podcast in the history of the JBS channel. It is. Yeah. Crap. Not on the video side. On the video side, there's still George Gomez and such and others. But this is the most downloaded podcast because we we uploaded the audio and the video on Spotify. OK, Jamie, I feel like I have to say this because I feel like I didn't represent Cleland sound properly. Okay. So his name is Kevin Cleland. He's a pinball hobbyist and an audio engineer. And he is most known for making those unofficial sound mods for modern machines. But he is a sound engineering. He's a sound engineer as his career. So I don't want people to think that he's like some jabroni, like the guy's got credentials. Right, right, right. Is this the guy who did like the Jurassic Park where it had like the sound and movie clips? What has he done before? I know he did Stranger Things and it looks like he did Guardians of the Galaxy. I think those are the two that he's most known for. But he's reworked like call outs and sound packages and stuff like that. But those are the two that I know. I don't know beyond that if he's done other ones. I think that I think Jurassic Park is someone else. I don't think it's him. Yeah, I think if they just get any sound professional at all, they just didn't have anybody when they developed that game. You know, I think that's the biggest criticism of it, right? And the music is a little campy with the 1850s little. They just didn't have enough music, though. It felt like that was all you were hearing, you know? Like there needs to be. He did admittedly say Turner was like, look, man, like we were kind of rushing. So this wasn't meant to be like the end product. Yeah, he said point seven code. So he's good time. And yeah, but the funny thing is, Kale, is that me and Ralph cornered Dodson in the quiet room and said, so are you going to do this? Are you going to do call outs for Turner? And he's like, I'm open. You know, I'm an independent contractor. So yeah, he wouldn't confirm nor deny. So anyway, we're just cool. I mean, he'd obviously be a great person to go to if they if they needed something. Oh, my God. He's killed it. When Jamie and I were playing Dune at TPF because it was all updated code, I was like, man, the sound is amazing. And Winchester, too. I remember Jeff saying something about the guy that was a friend of his or something that did the call-outs for Winchester. The call-outs at Winchester are so freaking good. They're really good. Like almost movie. Like it almost feels like it's almost too good for a pinball machine. Like it feels like it's ultra professional. It is pretty solid. It's so cool. Shout out. Yeah. Our friend Don from Don's Pinball Podcast is apparently a juggaloo, ladies and gentlemen. And today, Don from Don's Pinball Podcast posted him on stage on a ICP concert in St. Clown Posse. His daughter's on the stage with him, too. Shaking up the Faygo. What are they doing? What's he doing? It's all making sense now. It's all coming together, right? Yeah. Who Don is and all the things I mean we hung out with him at TPF but I didn know he was a damn Juggalo I had no idea Have you guys ever watched like I don know there probably many of them There's a really hilarious Juggalo documentary on YouTube. It's been out for years. It's worth a watch. Just go look it up. I mean, I've seen it. I've never watched it. I would definitely feel like that would be something I'd be fascinated by. I'm going to have to check that out. I'm trying to explain what a juggalo is, Cengiz. Wow. Tani, what are you talking about? There's still no progress on the Ralph Cengiz relationship. No. We're working on it, though. We're still working on it. We're figuring it out. There's no progress reports. It's not happening over there? We'll figure it out. So this happened because you mixed up where he lives and how to pronounce his name? Is that it? There was more. Yeah, and I kind of said something that he took the wrong way. I said something like, like why would, like basically I was saying that the predator marketing wasn't good. And I just said, because I don't think this is his career, I said, well, he's not a marketing guy. But I wasn't blaming the launch on him. I was just trying to say, like, they should have went to a proper marketing firm to do the thing. That's all I said. It wasn't a dig on him at all. Is he not a marketing guy? Well, I don't think so. Well, if he is, then he would be pissed, but I'm pretty sure he's not. Right? Maybe he does the market. Well, like him and his brother like sell machines. Maybe he does the marketing for that. Don't dig it. Come on. This was all blown over. It's just a big, giant misunderstanding. I have no problem with anything. I'm good. I'm like the dude that likes everybody. I have no problems. Jengis, if you're listening, Ralph is a really great guy, and sometimes, just like Jamie, he puts his foot in his mouth, and he doesn't mean anything by it. And here's the problem is if you're living in this world today and Ralph is the guy that pisses you off, you're sitting in the wrong chair. I'm telling you. It's a good point. It's a great point. Let's build bridges. Yeah, that's perfect. It's the building bridges tour. Yeah, it's fine. It'll be 2026, ladies and gentlemen. Get on. Choo-choo. What else you got, Jamie? There was a cocktail table in Indisc that Kale noticed. Yes. What other non-traditional pinballs do we want to see in tournaments? Did you guys watch this? No. Okay, so Indisc, it never drains in Southern California. Jim Belsito's fantastic big tournament. By many, it's considered the World Championships of Pinball. It is, and I say Jim, but it takes a whole team to put that together. It is, Jim likes to have interesting pinball machines in the competition, which it makes a lot of fun. Like, for example, the year before he wanted Galactic Tank Force in there. And that's when Steve and Steven Bowden and David Fix and then a programmer all got together and made new software and modifications to the game so he could have it in this tournament. And this year, he decided to have a cocktail table, a sit-down cocktail table. And it was great because you have some of the best players in the world just tearing this machine up, like doing shit you didn't even know was possible. And it was fun because they had a chair, an office chair, and that was the only chair you could use to play the game. You couldn't bring over, if you like, the folding chair or something. You had to use this chair or no chair. Now, Walt Wood was the only one who said, I'm no chair, I'm going to stand while I play. So he leaned over and played it like that. And it just so I'm thinking, like, what's next for N-Disc? I mean, if we're here, are we going to see like the Adams Family Values, like Redemption Machine? Like what's left over? You know what I think would be cool? Oh, sorry. Go ahead, Jamie. Do you ever see that Sea Hunt where you move the machine? We saw one at TPS. Yeah, that's a couple of them that do that. Those are cool. You would nudge it with handles. It's really cool. That would be cool. Or Hyperball. What if you put Hyperball? Have you guys ever played Hyperball? That's the one that didn't... That's a Steve Ritchie game. Steve Ritchie made it, right? It's the one that fires all those pinballs, right? Yeah, it's like a machine gun. Yeah, that thing's pretty cool. Yeah, that thing's wild. I still don't know what I'm doing when I'm playing it, but it's cool. But it's fun. It's a hell of a time. Yeah. So I know one I think would be cool and it would be an equalizer. Like if you put this game in there, I feel like none of them I feel like because so few of them were made, there's no way you're going to have someone that's like an expert at this game. That that stand up Williams Varkon, that pinball machine that's a stand up. I think that would be cool. That'd be phenomenal. And I'm sure Rob Burke would donate his for the cause for the tournament. Yeah. Or what is it? That Atari game, that virtual pinball. Have you seen that one? Like the game. I know what you're talking about. Yeah. Have they ever put a baby Pac-Man in N-Disc? That would be crazy because it's half video game, half pinball. Yeah. Or let's just put an ice cold beer in there. Actually, that would be pretty fun to see, too. That would be great. I wonder if they would do that. What about what's that other crazy one? And Mark has it. Is it? Oh, shit. Didn't they have it at the wormhole to safe cracker or whatever it's called? Oh, yeah. I mean, that's basically a pinball machine. Yeah. But yeah. All right. And I got me excited. There's some cool that I feel like that'd be pretty fun to watch them play like a bizarre, like something bizarre like that. That's cool. We need a what are we even doing here segment. So, ladies and gentlemen, moving on, Kale and I like to say, what are we even doing here? And so we're going to get Glenn Glenn Waechter to do some sound effects for us and some music, and then we'll click it up and we'll what are we even doing here? We don't have a topic for today. I couldn't think of anything of what are we even doing here. But for the next episode, we're going to do what are we even doing here? You know how, bro, do you even talk Pinball does unnecessary mods? That's a really good segment from there. That is a good segment. It's a great segment. I'm not trying to steal from Kevin or Nick, but we're going to do a What Are We Even Doing Here segment on the podcast. So, Glenn, get writing on a jingle for that as soon as possible. Okay. So we'll have to think of topics. Think of topics. Okay. You've got three weeks. Have you gotten an invite to bro? Do you even talk pinball yet? No, I haven't talked to anybody there. But I am this week. I am doing the pinball studio. Oh, nice. Nice. Sterling. Sterling's a young cat. You don't realize how young he is until you meet him. Okay, I can't wait. He's a cool dude. I really enjoyed hanging out. We're going to have a blast, you know, because we grew up in the same area, you know, the grand deep south of the great American country of America. And we're into a lot of the same cool stuff, you know, same kind of music. And I used to tour with a lot of the bands he likes. I think it's going to be a fun time. Oh, that's cool. Oh, that'll be fun. We look forward to that. Look forward to that on the Pinball Studio, wherever you can download those podcasts. Yeah. And you just had – you're recording this week. We're recording this week, so I don't know when it'll be out, but we're going to hang out and chat a little bit. And you just launched the newest electric bat with January and February earnings. Am I correct on that? No, it was – February, March? February, March. Okay. Yeah. Which was an excellent episode. And then Ralph just dropped an episode today. The call-in show. Beetlejuice versus Pokemon. No, the call-in show is the last one. This one's Beetlejuice versus Pokemon. But it had call-in. Oh, I did have some call-ins. Yeah. When are you going to do a live call-in show? I got to figure out how to do that because right now they just leave voicemails. It's like a service I pay for and they can just leave a voicemail. Right. Yeah, I got to figure that out because I do think that'd be fun instead of having like actual like texting. It would be cool to do like a radio show. That would be fun. I would love to do that because because you can have a conversation with somebody. Yeah, I would love that. And I have my phone handle, Mike, so I can use it. And I can I don't know if I can do this remotely, but I'll screen the calls because you have to have a call screener. Yeah, I know. That's the thing. You know, I'm going to figure this out. I really like that idea, though. That would be fun. Yeah, I'm calling up and bababooing your ass off. I mean, it would be really fun because, you know, you're going to get some crazy shit that happens during a show like that. I think you got to do it. Kale and I were talking about it before the podcast of like, this is a no brainer for you. All right, I'll try. I'll look into it because that's a cool idea. You've got to be able to do the road catcher, don't you think? Well, I don't I think you can because I believe there's with that. I forget what it's called. I think there's like a service you can pay for, but you have to pay for it. I think there's like a they'll get a number they can call. I'm pretty sure like it's a voiceover IP thing. I'm pretty sure. I got to play with that. Actually, Sterling would know. It has to be a way. Yeah, I'll look into it. I'm going to make a note on that. I got to make I got to make that happen. All right. Good idea. I counted your notes. All right. I think that's it, ladies and gentlemen, that and we wanted to talk one more thing about the Death Star fix. Oh, yeah. This is my segment. Take care of your machines. Man, I was so I was like, I can't remember what happened. I was working on Star Wars. Oh, yeah. You know how the ball gets caught up in the swirly bowl? Yeah, it happens. Yeah, it rocks back and forth. And I was messing. I was messing with that to fix that. And then this is the funniest part. Ray Day got in touch with me. The same guy that was trolling Ralph. He got in touch with me. And he sent me a video of my machine and said, you need to do something about this. So somebody was playing at the bat and sent Ray Day the video. It was like, what's up with this Star Wars doing this? And then Ray Day got in touch with me and said, hey, you need to take care of this. So I did. But then I was like, as I had the play field pulled out, the front of the Death Star smashed in. And I'm like, whoa, what happened? So like when it's closed, like the door part is smashed in like the door is fine. OK, so like you have the door that drops, right? Yeah. But I mean, it's basically a bash toy. Once that door is open, you know, it's the ball's popping up and smacking the lip of the Death Star. And that's just some type of like resin plastic. I don't know what it is, but it is it's thin. And with a ball, when you're nailing it at high velocities with a steel ball bearing, it is 100% going to break. So public service announcement, go ahead and reinforce that now. Maybe with like some Gorilla tape or something, but it is a very thin piece of plastic that is 100% going to snap. Yeah, and ours is already snapped. I just put some tape in the back to keep it on there. But just a PSA for all you people with Fall of the Empire. And it's still earning at the bat? Oh, it's crushing it. Yeah. That's crazy. Not earning anything at Eureka Heights. Isn't that wild? Yeah. That surprises me, though. We have an amazing, amazing group of players and people that love. I think we really have something unique because I've heard from other operators. They're like, we're not because we can just we can throw a brand new Stern on the floor and it's paid off, you know, way less than a year. Like people love the new games and they tear it up and they want to learn them. And, you know, especially as as software updates are they going to they want to revisit it with each software update. And Ray Day has been crushing it on Fall of the Empire. I think it's really a unique thing because, Jamie, I'm hearing the same thing from other operators. They don't have that ability to just throw a brand new game on the floor and it's just all of a sudden on fire. Yeah, that one just does not print money. It's not what Ralph, right? I mean, it's just not doing well. I feel like, too, you guys have a unique thing where there's lots of like fandoms that come into like they like different things that like. There's like a I don't know, like everyone there kind of feels like I could bring up almost any like nerdy thing and like someone in that room is going to be really into it. I don't know. Like, you know what I mean? Like they're into like they kind of crawl out into all the little like subculture type things. So that's also unique, too, I feel like, to the Batman. That's a good point. And I didn't think about that. Like the group is so diverse and the group is so large, you know, for for that many people, you know, a few hundred people coming in. And yeah, you're going to there. Somebody is going to attach to some game, some IP. Yeah. Yeah, it's just not earned. And then I play it really. Actually, I play it a lot, but I play it right when I get there. I find that that game is a really good game to warm up on because it's so GD brutal that if you can put up $250, $350 million on it, you're in good shape the rest of the night. That's how I view my night starting. I just go to follow the Empire and let's see if I can nudge and my reactions are going to be strong tonight because that game just kicks my ass. Do you still have your insider up? Yeah. I'd be curious to see how you and I stack up on Fall of the Empire since we always do such a competitive. Yeah, let me see. So run it through, Jamie. First of all, I'll have to wait for their server. Wait for their server. It's out of Bangladesh, so it's going to take time. All right. So games. It's in Sri Lanka. Games. Okay. All right. Like last, I'll go first like I did last. So we do games played first? Okay. 53. 97. 259. Holy crap. I better be better than you at this, Jamie. You know one thing, Jamie, you know one thing I've noticed? You know how every time we try to record or do something, get together, Ralph's always busy. He's playing pinball. My act, you had a Zoom call that ran late tonight. All right. High score. Kale, start us off. 764 million and some change. Damn, that's pretty good. 939 million. Damn. Dude, you couldn't just do it a little bit longer and get that belly? I couldn't. I choked. I had an extra ball, too. That's called fatigue. I lose this one. I got tired. I'm 687 million, so I'm lower than you guys on that one. And then our average score. Give me your average, Kale. 122. Ooh, he does very well. He's 110. Oh, wow. We're close. 108. Oof. That's a good average score, Kale. Yeah, that's a really good average score. But he only played it 53 times. Yeah, I only played it 53. I make it count, bro. Do this with your friends, ladies and gentlemen. Put it in the comments. Tell us what your stats are on Pokemon and Fall of the Empire. But it is, the new code is really great. Shout out to Rayday. I finally got to the Lightspeeder and it is seriously some fun. Is it cool? I haven't gotten to it yet, man. I got to get to it. It's pretty fun. I'm going to play it tonight, I think. I like the code is freaking good on that game, though. Rayday really, I mean, really, the code is really freaking good. Mm-hmm. But the Jedi Ball Saver on the premium is... I actually do prefer the Pro because it just works every time. It works, yeah. They should have used the... You're totally right in your podcast where they just should have used the Beetlejuice type of... It should have just been basic. I don't need it to do with the all-compliance. Yeah, nobody needed that. No, it could just do it cool. Like, it can hold it and then throw it. That's fine. It can be fancy. Like, maybe sometimes it does that and sometimes it throws it. That would have been fine, but it should have just been you press it and that's it. Like that's it. You shouldn't have to do all that other shit. Like you have to qualify it, but yeah. Lesson learned. Yeah, and I'm really happy we don't have the premium because you imagine being in a tournament and it's like you don't know whether that thing worked properly or not and people are going to be complaining. Yeah, and they kind of marketed it as like, oh, it's cool because you have to – it's maybe not going to work most of the time. You know what I mean? Because when it throws it, sometimes it doesn't throw it where you want it to. It's just like when Luke was trying to learn how to use the Force. Remember, he kept fucking up. And that's probably what they were trying to do there, I think, maybe. I mean, you know, in Return of the Jedi, he's pretty damn good. It's called theme immersion, guys. Hey, real quick, let's end on this. What's with our boy Canada crapping on tournament players? We're all three of us are tournament players. We don't wear cargo pair of shorts and these things that he says. What's that about? What? I have nothing against people who wear cargo shorts. I have friends that wear cargo shorts. Nate on a Saturday morning spectacular was crapping on. He's like, if you play in tournaments, save your $10, forget the $20 trans light, go out and enjoy the sun. Stop wearing cargo pants. And I'm just telling you, I don't wear cargo pants and I like winning $20 trans lights. It's fun. Well, I tell you, and I'm not trying to defend our friend Chris, but he hasn't been to an electric bat party, man. No. Because you have to think about probably the last tournament he went to, he caused a scene and then threw a drink in somebody's face. And so in his mind, he still thinks they're like that. They're a bunch of sweats that are like taking it too seriously. He needs to get out of the house and come to the Electric Bat Arcade and see what a fun pinball tournament is all about. Yeah. That's our challenge to you, Kaneda. Can I share something that's really funny that he did? Like, he won't care because he did it, but it's really funny what he did. I just think this is funny because I think he didn't realize what he did. I got to find it because it's pretty funny. So like he so in his free show, he like shits all over, you know, the whole time he shit all over the tournament players. Right. So for like five minutes straight, he's going off and, you know, he's doing it how he would do it. And then like after he shits all over everyone, he's like, you know what, man, there's this guy, Travis. I saw him on YouTube and his tutorials, the reason why I was able to play Pokemon so well. And I was like, I don't even think he realizes that he's shitting over. You know what I mean? Like the whole thing just made me laugh. And then someone left a comment that said, it's just funny. I particularly like the part where you trashed and railed against tournament players for five straight minutes and then immediately thanked Travis Murie for his Pokemon strategy video. Travis, a well-known and respected tournament player who makes tournament strategy videos and has a YouTube channel talking about tournaments. It's real next level Andy Kaufman performance level shit right there. That sequence blew my fucking mind. That is awesome. That comment is awesome. I was laughing my ass off at that. No one liked it, though. I was like, that's such a great comment. Oh, I need to go like it. Oh, my gosh. That was great. Travis does the best tutorial. He's great. He's the reason why I know how to play Jaws. What's his channel on YouTube? It's like the pinball. Pinball Company. Pinball Company, yeah. Go check it out, people. All right, boys and girls, that's all she wrote. Thank you guys so much. Another great edition of the Pinball Roundtable. 90 minutes, not bad. You can always pause, ladies and gentlemen. You can always pause and come back. But anything, last words, Ralph? Do you think we will, we will, we will, we will, we will, why can I say that? Will we have your presence here in the summer so we can do a redo of our three-hour spectacular that we did last time? No question, I'm coming this summer. Okay, cool. There's no, we're doing it. Okay, that'd be fun because we had a good time. It'll probably be August and it'll be hot as shit, but who cares? I'll run an Airbnb and we'll hang out the three of them. God, it'll be great. Based on? The Chewy's, again, I really, if you're going to go to the bat, ladies and gentlemen, again, And I think you got to come on a Saturday and then do the Chewies at the end of the month and then the Tuesday event on make that happen. We probably should take user viewer feedback, though, on the angle of the camera. That's my bad. It was definitely looking straight into crotch cam. We'll just we'll fix that for this next go around. No, fine. No question. We'll make that happen. Kale, thank you so much. Anything from you, sir? Just go. Ladies and gentlemen, you know what the deal is. Go find Open Pinball Map app. Find some local pinball machines just anywhere. Put some quarters. Support pinball on the streets. We need more of it. Absolutely. All right, boys and girls. Ladies and gentlemen, thank you so much for another great roundtable. We had a lot of fun. And this will be up Friday. When? What? Tomorrow? Tuesday. Tuesday morning. Tuesday morning, the 14th, right before tax day. Yeah. All right, boys. Thanks. See you, everybody. Peace.
