I'm Joe, your host, and here on In the Scene, we dive into what's happening in the arcade space from new arcade developers, arcade owners and operators, pinball, and just news in the space in general. So, let's jump right into everything and we'll have a little ad about that later. So, I have recently moved to Pittsburgh to work for Compulsive Pinball and Starport Entertainment. I am here as a arcade tech. I am learning pretty much everything, whether it be pinball, classics moderns ATMs jukeboxes skill games. There's lots and lots that Starport Entertainment does. Um, but I have a heavy focus on pinball and arcade games and the other stuff is kind of going to be added on. So, I'll be managing a large route in the city of Pittsburgh and up and down the east coast. Compulsive has over 350 locations from New York to Chicago to North Carolina and there will be locations that I'll be visiting throughout that area. Now, I obviously am very passionate about the arcade stuff and the development and pinball. So, I'll kind of be adding all of that into the channel. Kind of continue doing what I've already been doing, but it's going to have a little bit of a twist. Now, we're going to have more hands-on, more daily operator videos, more setup videos, more unboxing videos, um, to show you guys really what's going on in this space and kind of give you a behind the scenes cuz not a lot of people are are really showing what's going on as an operator. You just see kind of the endgame and you see the arcade and you see the people in the arcade. So, I want to dive a little bit more into the behind thescenes stuff, which I need your guys' help to let me know what you want to see. Like, do you guys want to see more unboxings? Do you want to see more repair videos? Do you want to see basic cleaning videos? Do you want to see me actually change out mechs and rebuild flippers? Like, are those things that you're interested in? Cuz if you are, I would I would love to cover that stuff. So, we'll be focusing on that stuff. I I'm really still passionate about the homebrew pinball stuff. I want to keep covering that. I think that scene is incredible and it needs to get more light um shined on it just so that these these creators can be shown off and and their games can get shown off. Um, I'm going to continue talking about Stern and Jersey Jack. Maybe talk about Spooky and American a little bit more as I get hands-on with these machines, start repairing them, kind of compare them, see which ones I prefer to work on, which ones are better to operate, which ones earn better, things along those lines. So, I'm thinking about doing different tiers of memberships, maybe just a buck um on on YouTube per month. Just, you know, helps the channel out. Something you can do to support uh us growing and and getting better equipment and bringing better content to you. Um, Compulsive Pinball did give me this Jurassic Park uh to to learn and play and get better. I've gotten significantly better at it. So, Jurassic Park is very high on my list now. But um I I just I appreciate everything Compulsive Pinball and Starport Entertainment has done to help me get here and and I'm I'm really excited to continue working with with them and Chris and and build that brand and and build out what Compulsive Pinball is all about cuz they're Chris is a true collector. Absolutely loves the space. Uh operating thousands of machines. Um, I haven't really met anybody that's doing as much as he is in in the entertainment space and and having so many locations and having so many games and just, you know, really putting these out there for people to enjoy and and just sharing his love for pinball with the world and arcade games and just everything in general. Um, and I just I've met a lot of you guys in the last couple years here with the travels and conventions and stuff I've been going to. I started building this game or that game because of it, or I started my first homebrew, whatever it might be."
