## Transcript

🎵 Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Welcome everyone, my name is George. This is Don't Panic Slip, and tonight we have a very special stream. We have an iron pinball battle on Jurassic Park, and with us we have MPT3K as the moderator slash commentator, and Seraph, a.k.a. Brian, another streamer, everybody here on the TPN network. Gentlemen, how are you doing this evening? Great. Great to see a battle. Doing well. Awesome, yes. hopefully we're coming through decent on video you guys can hear us there isn't too much background noise and I'm curious I threw on music in the background hoping it was just a little bit of noise is that coming through too loud at all? not even at all sounds good to me okay I hear it it's not too loud okay it's not the black eyed peas I'm good it's not it's the midnight which we are legally able to to actually stream because they have given everyone permission to play them. Coming through decently, says Frisco Pinball. Okay, good. John Durbin, Evil Peaches. Jeff, thank you so much for those 400 bits. Manu said it was an accident. I'm not sure. It may have been. It was clearly a typo four times. Now, I think just beforehand, everybody went and grabbed drinks. I'm drinking a hibiscus apple cider something. Come on, get there. Oh, it's getting there. Boom, from STEM. What are y'all drinking? Chai tea. Tea tea, as people tell me. I just finished a Ying one. Okay. I've also got a Red Bull here. It is... I'm here on the East Coast, right? So it's midnight, a little past midnight. Gotta stay awake. Wow, I did not realize it was past midnight and you were East Coast. for whatever reason I thought that you were west coast I thank you for streaming with us this late no worries no work tomorrow so it's all good 31st off which is great also yes I can't believe we didn't talk about that beforehand happy upcoming new year I hope I hope everybody has some fun plans do you guys have any fun plans for new years don't get covid I think can we put up a number one for Sariv because it's already scored a point yes one point opponent scores does it work for me no it doesn't work for you I actually I have buttons now to do it because the audio was so we had to wait for quiet and then you have to enunciate it very clearly and it was just more of a bother than it was cool that's a good one from Prisco that is a good one I don't feel comfortable giving Seraph a point at all on this I've seen Seraph play Seraph why am I here? am I here to actually do this or yes alright alright alright no first point but fine okay I mean I can give him a first point I just feel like that's gonna hurt me in the long run I need all of the points Manu, your face is hilarious right now Okay, so we have some objectives for tonight I'm going to switch over to those and this is what we have coming up We've got ten different objectives that we want to try and get done and it is whoever scores the most points wins and gets that beautiful trophy graphic that you can display prominently anywhere you want to to say that you have won an iron pinball battle. First is high score. I spent all of 20 seconds building the graphic. It's significant and has deep meaning. I want it. High score. Capture a dinosaur. Escape Nublar. We're going to go for score. Gain an extra ball. Capture two dinosaurs. Start control room is what it says, but we're actually going to complete a control room. Start chaos multiball. collect a fossil, and then we're going to do a timed escape Nublar match, and finally we're going to capture three dinosaurs. I was counting, but I was going all over the place with my fingers. I realized that was super inconsistent. And we'll go over how to do each of those, and by we, I do mean Seraph. Seraph is amazing at walking through rule sets, specifically on Jurassic Park. So we'll end up zooming in on his play field and letting him walk through each of those. And on that note, Seraph, do you want to walk us through kind of what your thoughts are on how to achieve a high score, so that way I can figure out how to beat you? I mean, sorry, I can figure out how to score points. Well, one of the, I guess, key aspects of this game is there is no direct path to get points. There's a lot of different things you can do, depending on what you're comfortable with. I would say, so normally in a tournament, I don't play this game like I'll play my game. When I'm in a tournament, normally I'll go straight for catching a dinosaur. I'll try to make progress on Raptor, the Raptor multiball over here on the left, when I have ball safe or just whenever I feel safe. And then if I've got that almost ready to go by the time I've captured the first dinosaur, I'll try to do Restore Power with the multiball, with the Raptor multiball, and then assuming that you're able to hit one of the two ramps with our Raptor jackpots, as soon as you come out of that multiball, you'll have another control room mode lit, and then I'll take System Boot. So basically, you just get two control room modes right off the bat. That's my general tournament strategy. After that, I mean, you can go anywhere really. I'll probably start going for T-Rex modes. But yeah, there's just so much for this game. I mean, you could also focus on dinosaurs for points. You could focus on T-Rex modes, which is hitting the truck, the captive ball. Or you could focus on chaos, the chaos multiball as well. But yeah, for me, I like to do Raptor with control room modes right off the bat. That's interesting I don't know A lot of people go right for Raptor That's cool Can I ask you guys a question About your configurations first I just want to double check something Okay You're both configured for three ball play Correct? Correct Correct You're both configured for I don't think there's anything That we have to worry about Like deterministic Or non-deterministic mysteries Tournament mode Do you guys worry about that? Just the Escape new lore we should do the competition one and not the not competition one. Right. That way it's consistent. Yep. And last question is, do you both have your machines configured for left flip or start, restart? Yes. I do. Yes. Great. Ball save in attorney. Ice Cube wants to know if you guys are using ball saves. I have mine set to standard settings right now, so whatever that ball save is. Yeah, mine's just on default. Okay. Okay, if you're both agreeing about that, that's cool. Let's fair. Okay. In that case, we are ready for our first battle. Manu, do you pretty much like... I don't remember. I should have asked you. All right, wait, wait, wait. Here we go. Feel the rhythm. Feel the rhythm. Oh, wait, I'm not ready. Hold it. Now I'm ready. Go ahead. Feel the rhythm. Feel the rhyme. Do the thing. Do the thing. Eat the stuff. And here's your bling. Alright, go. This is a high score warm up game. Just so everybody knows. It does count. But this is the first match we're going to do a little warm up high score game where the guys go for valuable cash and prizes. It looks like Seraph is going for the Raptor Cage. Just like he said. Just like he said. Alright, and George? Try not to die. George is trying not to die. All right. As you guys can see, George is playing the pro. Seraph is playing the premium. Although I'm pretty sure none of the challenges tonight have anything to do with that fact. Correct. You guys can correct me if I'm wrong. I think they're all even keel and they have nothing to do with the fact that one of them is playing the premium. Correct. All right. Nice shot to the... Wow. I can't wait to see the chaos battle. because holy smokes, that is the hardest battle for me. George is just drained but got a ball safe. Seraph, I'm here with you right now. System boot. All right, looks like the plan is going according to plan. The plan is going according to plan. I like it. All right, so there goes my first ball. I'm going to try and start a control room. No, what I need to do is work on Raptor. I need to... I need to take Seraph's advice here. I'm ready for that second mode. I need helipad here. I mean, O-shot. And I drain. There goes ball two. Uh-oh, George is in a little bit of trouble. Seraph, are you still on ball one? Yes. Yeah, like nothing. Thank you, evil peaches. Apparently I have a hole in my lip too. 19 million? I'll put on my old man glasses. And there goes ball three. So that first game is a big win. I went right down that left out lane. I think three times. Yeah, it's fair if I think you can walk away. Pritch, welcome to the stream IceKeeby wants to know, Manu how you qualified for this job I'm me, bro if I had a mic it'd be falling to the ground right now slowly I did have more points, right? yes, you did I'm positive that you had a lot more I didn't even look, but it was more because that was I thought that one was going to take a lot longer I also was planning on that one taking a lot longer. Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool. You're warming up, George. You're warming up. Don't worry. Yeah, yeah, exactly. I'm not sure if the mic is... The game might be a little cold right now. That's obviously what that is. But you can see very clearly that Seraph has the first point. It is on his screen now, and that one point will follow him in every scene that he's a part of moving forward. And likely more points. Yeah, for the rest of your life, you will have those points visible. So while we're here, in between matches, and hoping that you cool down from that amazing win, Sarah, fix your bokeh. What is that? Nine more games, Iron Fox says, and I'll be all warmed up and ready to play. Thank you. Sarah, we met at Expo and had a great time. What do you do? I feel like I don't know this. Software developer. Okay. Yeah, so I've been doing that for four and a half years now. But I went to school actually here in North Carolina where I'm from, Raleigh, North Carolina. I went for mechanical engineering. And then I worked as a weapons system engineer for Department of Defense for five years. and then I went back to school for software, and I've been doing that ever since. Mostly work on Microsoft consulting type stuff, I guess. Okay. So are you a .NET developer then? I'd say the majority of what we do is .NET, yes. But actually the project I'm on right now is almost all Python. Oh, okay. Yeah, a lot of Python and Kubernetes and different stuff like that. Okay. So Python, a scripting language that has become so popular because of academia, and then Kubernetes, an orchestration tool for Docker containers, right? Yep, that's right. So for anybody else who's not familiar with all the crazy terminology out there. Okay, well, cool. Now we know that you're a software developer. So are you using any of these software development skills on your streaming? I should be, but no. I really should be. I've got some cool lightning in the background of my stream that flashes randomly, and I think I wrote about two lines of JavaScript to do that, and that's literally about it. Okay. I played around with the Leoran board, but I haven't got it fully implemented to where I want it. But no, not really, even though I should be. And I'm pretty sure I've offered to help other people with theirs. But I've just been, since we started being able to play tournaments again, I feel like any free time when I'm not streaming pinball, I'm trying to play on location. Okay. Just trying to get back into it, learn more games, that sort of thing. Okay, and that makes sense. I do want to follow up and ask what Manu does, because Durbin, I'm not sure if that was a joke or not, but really quick, Mrs. Lord Helmet has graced us with her presence. Also, on East Coast Time, Amanda Hamilton, the one and only, also on the, oh my God, I can't think of the name of the podcast. I almost said Final Round. It's not it. But the TPN podcast, Mrs. Lord Helmet. Hi. Welcome. It's very late. But Manu, going back to you, what do you do, Manu? Absolutely nothing, but I do it very well. You do it really, really well yes absolutely yes I dream I I am a lover not a fighter post-production I co-run a video production so when you say post-production and somebody says we'll fix it in post is that like are they talking about you they can go to hell never fix it in post um yeah they're talking about me they're talking about you know editing after effects the DaVinci Resolve audition stuff like that. Oh my god, do you know how to use all of those tools? Like, are you proficient with all of them? Yeah, I ran a recording studio when I, I'm from New York, I ran a recording studio when I was in New York about four years, and so I, I was an engineer, and I did radio edits, and a lot of rap groups, a lot of jazz groups, a lot of people who think they are going to be great musicians. Okay, wow, when you say it like that, it sounds horribly disappointing. For them. I was making money, but for them. Good luck with this singing thing. The whole singing thing. Oh, thank you. It was Free Play Pinball Podcast by Mrs. Lord Helmet. I knew it was an F. I just got stuck, mentally stuck there. Okay, cool. So we have two software developers. I also develop software, 100% .NET. So I'm also on the Microsoft stacks, and I have not yet been forced to learn Python. Google just freaked out in the background. Yeah, it's not bad. I was writing Python. I was a software developer for about 15 years. And the last thing I did, I did some Python work for Google. Oh, wow. They're very strict. I feel like when you've been doing it long enough, you kind of become language agnostic. Yeah. It's more just like, what you don't know, you type it into Google, and you can find it in 15 seconds. Yep. Yep. stack overflow is pretty much my job, is navigating stack overflow quickly and efficiently. Okay, well, what do we have up next? We have to capture one dinosaur. Now, this, I'm guessing, should go quick. Even quicker, I feel like, if I drain as quickly as I did during the last game. Sarah, do you want to walk us through how you go about capturing a dinosaur? Sure. So the first thing you have to do is get into a paddock mode, and these are the paddocks on the lower part of the map here. You get into a paddock mode by selling map, which you cannot see, but there is a board in the back of the game that has the word map. I don't know if you can see it on screen, but you sell map by hitting white arrows. For catching one dinosaur, you start with the M and the A already lit, so you only need one white arrow. And then, so you spell map and then the left ramp will be lit to start a paddock. Once you're in the paddock, you need to rescue the workers. So the rescue shots, main shots, can all be lit for rescues. They will randomly put rescues, the light for rescues. You need to rescue them before the dinosaur gets to them. The dinosaur is the green flashing insert. You'll see it moving around. And so you get into the paddock, you catch or you hit some rescue shots, and then once you hit enough, it will light the trap, which are two targets behind the truck up here. shoot either one or both of those targets, depending on the dinosaur, and that will... The dinosaur will then be ready to be caught, but then you shoot the dinosaur. Now, you have to shoot where the dinosaur is, the thing that the dinosaur is at, right? Like, wherever it could be. Wherever it could be. Yes. You do start... Yep, so he's moving, right? You do start with something called a... If you shoot the dinosaur before he's ready to be caught, it'll freeze him in place for, I think it's five seconds. And you also start with a super tranquilizer, which is the action button, and that'll freeze him in place for 20 seconds. All right. Okay. I think this is a wonderfully unique game because of all the things you just said that I've never seen in any pinball machine ever before. That whole story, right, is just amazing. Yeah, no, it is amazing. And, I mean, I didn't even mention the fact that every dinosaur moves around the play field differently. They all have their own perks as far as how quickly they can catch and eat the rescues. And also, each dinosaur, if you do end up catching them, also gives an award perk. so it could be easier inlanes this guy or extra ball or 2x jackpots or whatever cool there's a whole strategy about moving through the paddock and figuring out what dinosaur you want to catch okay yeah well done if anyone has questions hit us up feel free to throw questions out into the chat and Manu will answer them and yes Mrs. Lord Helmet, that is, there are rules on this particular pinball machine. Now, this one is timed, so we're going to want to hit the start button and get a ball prepped. And Manu, I'm going to need you to count us down again. All right. You guys ready? I'm ready. All right, we're going to try and capture one dinosaur. Feel the rhythm, feel the rhyme, eat the stuff. And here's your blame. It's business time. Okay. I'll get it. I'll get it tonight. Yes, I am planning to go to TPF. Yes. Well, that should be fun. Sorry, guys, I wasn't answering your question. Oh my god, I'm hitting this so premature right now, I continue to miss it. Alright, so let's see, where are we in the battle of capturing... There it is. Okay, so I just started my first one. And I drank. I'm done. I'm done capturing the dinosaur. Okay, there goes two. That was so fast I didn't even get to settle in. I also... I started my dinosaur. Well played. That was pretty fast. I'm not normally that fast. If you don't believe me, you can tell if you look up on the score over on the left, it says Jurassic Perks so 2x Bounties, that wouldn't be there if I hadn't got it We believe you, there's also a bunch of other people watching who can confirm Brooklyn says, George I hope this is not to the death I also am very hopeful that we didn't agree and this is some to the death fight That was pretty fast I mean, I was expecting, I was hoping for kind of a case of like a longer and a shorter, a longer and a shorter. Give us an opportunity to talk about things. It's fine. It's like we really didn't even stop talking, which is a perfect segue. I feel like into my next question, which is, Sarah, when do you stream and what does your collection look like? Like, tell us a little bit about your stream. Um, so I try to stream on, I don't know, it's been changing, honestly, but I try to do Tuesdays normally, always do Tuesdays, and then also, and then it'll change from Thursday, Friday, to Saturday, but Tuesday is the one day that I try to make solid, um, and I used to do Wednesdays, but now we have a tournament almost every Wednesday, um, and sometimes they're on Fridays and they kind of move around. So, yeah, Tuesday is the main day. Normally, I guess, 9.30 Eastern, so 7.30 Mountain. And I normally, normally two or three hours. Collection right now is Jurassic Park, obviously. Next to that is Iron Maiden Pro. And also on the other side of it is a Getaway High Speed 2. Nice. So that's the collection now. I do have Godzilla on order. I think I'm in the second run, so hopefully March, I think I was told. Godzilla Premium. Okay. So, yeah, I do like Keith Elwin. My brother-in-law, who lives about 30 minutes away, also has a Godzilla, and he's got an Avengers Premium as well. So between the two of us, we've got Elwin covered. Okay. And I've got to flip it right back around. I'm about 95% positive that everybody in this channel is already following and familiar with MPC3K. But Manu, when do you stream? And what does your current collection look like? My current collection looks like one V-Pen, period. There's nothing else in the garage. All pinball is gone. When did that happen? It happened today. It came up the junkyard and it's gone. And I have no pinball physically here. but I will be in a lot of pinball on Saturday I'm doing a donation charity stream from the Pacific Pinball Museum so if you'd like to sit back on New Year's Day and give money to a good cause here in the Bay Area that's where you'll catch me otherwise you can just come to my stream and see my channel and see when I stream sorry and that is tomorrow right? no New Year's Day New Year's Day so Saturday and what time? 10 a.m. Pacific to 6 p.m. Pacific. Whoo! There will be lots of people joining me. Michael Shites, I think his name is, the guy who owns Pacific Pinball. Little Bubblegum will be in the afternoon. Surreal's going to jump in. So there should be a lot of fun. Lots of p.m.s and lots of solid states. And T. Walrus just asked, that's in Alameda, right? Ha! We lost Manu. It's fine. Probably be back in a second. Perfect timing, LaserLos. Welcome to the stream. And Manu's back. We're good. We got him. There he is. Love you, Discord. Love you, Discord. My question was... I don't even remember what the question was. Actually, mind blown. Oh, sorry, is it in Alameda? Yeah, it's in the beautiful island of Alameda. Is that actually an island? It is, yeah. It's an island off the bay. Yeah. Okay. Captain Zanzibar is on Team Seraph. Okay, cool. Well, I'm... That's a nerd. I'm searching for a point here. Let's go to the next... Oh, hey, cool. It's Escape Nublar score. This is going to go swimmingly. I'm positive. Do you want to walk us through Seraph? Um, actually you can do that one since I just learned it today. Okay, cool. I don't know if you can play Escape Nublar, but I'll let you do that one. Okay, so the wizard mode on this game, not the ultimate wizard mode, but the wizard mode on this game is Escape Nublar and it takes a lot to get there Or you can just hold the buttons and get right into it And you get to play it and it amazing It a fun like mini unto itself where you get three balls And it's such a fun game and such a great design. And in Escape Nublar, it makes the assumption that you went through and played through the playfield to go from the main gate to Visitor Center. And now that you made it to visitor center, you need to escape the island and get back to the main gate. So you start at the visitor center, and what you want to do is go back the same way you came, because I guess the thought is it's easier since you've already collected the dinosaurs. But if you go back through areas that you had not, if you go a path that you had not already visited to get there, there's more opportunity potentially for scoring, where you have to capture more dinosaurs and you can rescue more people. So if you're going for speed, you want to go back the exact same path. And if you're going for points, you may want to jump around a little bit and hit more and more of those. So it's a mini game you can jump right into. It's super fun. You do get three balls. And it's all about hitting the particular shots. The game will walk us through exactly how to do each of those. I can give you more details, but actually it's been a while since I've played Escape Nublar. Manu, oh, shoot. Manu, I don't have you on this one. That's okay. That's fine. There you go. I thought it was showing Manu's house cool waterfall at your place. Awesome. All right. We're escaping Nublar? We're escaping Nublar, and on top of that, we want to do Escape Nublar Competition Challenge. And because this one is not timed, Frisco Pinball dropping 510 Bista's motivation for George. Come on, George. Thank you. Oh, this is great. We're totally going to kill it here. So this one is not timed. At the same time, I still would love a Manu countdown, if you don't mind, Manu. Okay, let's see. Seraph, make sure to ignore me while I do this stupid countdown. So, feel the rhythm. Do the thing. Do the thing. Eat the stuff. And here's your blame. Yes! That's it! Okay, go. Go. Awesome. Is there a speed record for all three balls yet? This is Lord Helmet. Not tonight with us. um but there is uh from uh sorry what's the name of that uh pin Slash yeah yes all right let's take a look at what these guys are so this is for score remember people this is for score yeah so we're that we'll do the timed mode later okay so i have made it through my first paddock, and I didn't change the orientation of my, of my Nauti-G. So I am going down the path. I'm basically going down the path of least resistance, which is the path down the left side you can see that is currently lit. Alright, Sarah's having a little trouble with the slings. Okay, we're out. Good. Nice little flick. That was a mean game. Alright, so I need to hit the middle and then try to hit the second rescue, rather. Seraph definitely has a tilt, Bob. Also, because I can do this and I can mess with them. Seraph, tell us what your strategy is on this right now. I'm going to go the opposite path, at least. I don't know. I guess. Yeah. But I'm not going to take any of the middle ones. None of the middle dinosaurs. That's pretty cool. So just for chat's sake, if you move the not a jeep, the truck, Whichever way it's facing determines the path they take of the little paddocks. The paddocks or in the middle. If you never knew that, that's a pretty clutch thing to know about this game. So you'll see them hitting the... ...the not a jeep. That's a nice little joke we do. Yeah. The change in direction. Which is another very unique and cool feature of this game. It is. Color crimson... Oh! A train. All right. Did our campaign to psych him out work? No, I don't think so. I hit the O shot when I went for the O shot. I'm a champion already, I feel like. Doesn't pay attention, so now I am in the middle. Okay. Love the knot of G. It even has a, quote, clutch. Let's see. Got a danger. We're fine, though. We're all fine here. We're fine. Well, Twalvis mentions that the fuel is a thing in this. If you run out of fuel, you are done. Yes, you are. And how do you get more fuel? You can hit the raptor cage. Okay. Oh, my gosh. Oh, I got a shooting game. No, I didn't. Seraph has another couple dangers If you're watching the stream You'll notice that both Seraph and Don't panic, clips Their screens may look Different, but they're actually the same Seraph is running the movie assets From Someone did a modification Which inserted the movie Actual movie assets into the DMD But they are still effectively the same thing Yep Wait, reboot my scene? Why are we rebooting my machine? Reboot George's machine. Oh, is that, like, to mess with me? He's already got two points. I can use a point right now. I'm looking, and George is at... George, you're a little behind in score right now. Okay. All right, George, you have a chance to catch up. Uh, try to kill it. What's up? Welcome. Hey, Jezebel. Jezebel! Oh, no. That's not good. No, it's fine. It's fine. It's totally fine. Why can I not hit the easiest shot? We're fine. We're totally fine here. You're still in good shape. We all want you to know that we're all counting on you. Oh. Hmm. Hmm. All right. Loneless, is there a possibility, or do you have another truck? I have another truck. Okay. Sheriff, what do you think his chances are at beating you right now? Probably pretty good. I didn't do much. Okay, so I just, I'm at my last paddock, I think, right now. Sorry. Sorry. Yeah, I'm sorry, George. But George, just focus on the game. Don't worry about anything that's happening in chat. Ah! Did I get it? I have no idea. Let's see. I think I got it! Maybe? Maybe? 285? Yep, you got it. I got one! Yes! I will take a point. I'm good for the whole I could lose everything else I got 8 points congratulations I slap save AB6 welcome come to the pinball stay for the soothing insults from Manu oh my god sorry G I'm here for Manu I told you that earlier you still have my love though thank you I told you don't pay attention to the chat it's all good man it's all good you want to keep winning? just focus yeah no no I'm totally focusing congratulations Apparently that one, when I win, it didn't change the scenes. But hey, look, I got a point right here. I got a point. I'm taking it. That's fine. George, we talked about this, right? What's that? We can celebrate, but... No, no, no. I'm celebrating because I'm getting my butt kicked is all. I'm just happy I got my one. Okay. I'll take it. Maybe you should put some sugar packets under the play field. Okay. Oh, man. Okay, so next question. I'm going to keep coming up with questions here, but, Starif, I feel like everybody has some sort of an interesting story or something or just a situation that popped up that got you to start streaming. Why did you start streaming? How long have you been streaming? It looked easy. I started last February so not quite a year and I got into it because everything was closed and I've been watching all the streams so I just wanted to take it to the next level I guess and start putting together my own streams and I only got into pinball like a year, almost a year and a half ago, so June 2020. Wait, you just got into pinball, the sport of pinball? Just recently? Yeah, June 2020. Ooh, wow. My brother-in-law got me into it, and yeah, I don't know. I like it a lot. I guess it's the mechanical aspect of the game plus the software. They're both interesting to me. The only, I guess, thing that's still kind of a mystery is some of the electronics, but I know enough to, I don't know, be dangerous, I guess. So I've had to fix some older games. I had a Johnny Demonic. When I say older, I mean 90s, but Johnny Demonic I've had to fix. I had a Judge Dredd that blew out some transistors on the electronic board. had to go in, diagnose that, fix that. Did you have issues with the glove on Johnny Mnemonic? No, luckily I didn't have to... Well, I had to do small adjustments to the glove, but I did not have to do a rebuild on it. Okay. Wow, I didn't realize you just got into pinball. Okay. And yeah, you went with older games. I feel like that's... It's so interesting because to get into the hobby, it's typically more expensive for newer games you go older but it kind of forces you very quickly to start learning some of the technical sides of pinball and maintenance and I don't know what to do about that like if you want to get more people into the hobby you should make it easier but the only ones that are cost effective are the older ones which typically break down more often the hobby kind of works against itself in that regard I mean, the good news is the Pinside forums, I mean, as toxic as they can be, there's still a ton of information there as far as how to fix games. Right. So if you're willing to look for it, you can find it. And there's usually someone that will help you as well. Yeah, that is a really good point. Pinside can have so much negativity and a lot of whining, I feel like, in general. But that's actually where I've met a decent number of really cool people. and I've personally gotten help which it sounds like you also have gotten help on Pinside on maybe some of your games. Yeah, definitely. And going back to your earlier comment, I like to have a mix of at least a newer game, like I'd say 2003 forward and also something earlier. So right now it's Getaway, which it's funny because Getaway is like the polar opposite to this game it does one thing it does it really well but it only does one thing whereas this game has like hundreds of different things you can do but yeah that game is pretty mindless for me so when I'm not when I don't feel like thinking I love playing Getaway so yeah I should try to have games that don't feel the same Dalton says do a tap pass also I want to go back up, the Discord, yeah, Janelle is super helpful. That's another really great place if you're looking to stream or if you need help on pinball machines that have problems, that's another great place to go. Also, Nailbuster, making me feel old. 1990 is further away than the year 2050. That's disgusting. To hear that right there. Okay, next objective. Let's see what we've got here. What do we got? We got extra ball. Extra ball. Or bumper nugget. There we go. Yes. Nicely done. So I'm going to switch over to Seraph here. Seraph, do you want to walk us through maybe a couple different ways we can achieve both lighting and then actually capturing an extra ball? Yes, I will. So all of the ways light extra ball, it's always the same way to actually collect it. So once it's lit, it's always the right rant. There are, honestly, I don't know the count of how many ways there are extra ball off the top of my head. I walked through some of them, though. The easiest is Fixed Rescues. That'll light extra ball. I'm sure that's the one that we'll both be going for. Also, Catching T-Rex. Actually, Catching T-Rex is the only one that'll award the extra ball immediately. You do not have to hit the right rant. Yep. 8 8 DNA combos which are specific sequences of shots that you have to hit if you do 8 of those that'll light extra ball I believe there are a couple fossil sets that'll light extra ball and also I believe there is a loop I think one of the loop awards will also give you extra ball. Oh, and there's also smart missile that can give you extra ball. And I think that one is also immediate, the smart missile. Okay. You get it instantly. But the easiest one to go for is the, what, six different rescues? Yeah, by far. Okay. I have a question. So if you're going for the six rescues, do you run out of rescues during the first? Obviously, you have to start a paddock and then start at this, start at that. Can you keep shooting rescues, or do you collect three rescues? Oh, the first paddock only has a maximum of five rescues. So no matter what, we're going to have to get into the second paddock. There's the rub. Yes. so as soon as you catch a dinosaur you have no more rescues available from that paddock yes paddock oh sorry as soon as you start the next paddock i should say oh right they're still lit going into the until you start the next one right so they'll change as soon as you start a new one i was eric thinking manu looks very refined sipping his uh sipping his see. There's the rub. I just did that before. It's not like you can just keep collecting and then hit that extra ball. They still make you earn it. Okay, and this one is timed. And really quick, something that we didn't go over was this concept of putting priority on ball over time. So this is a timed event, but we're also rewarding better play. So if Seraph completes it later than I do, but does it all on ball one, Seraph would win. If I get there, but I do it on ball two or ball three. It's about timing, but we put priority on ball first. We talked about that beforehand, so I think we're all in alignment. I just wanted to make sure that the audience knew as well. This is the timed one. I've got a ball in the plunger lane. Seraph, if you're ready to go, Manu can count us down. Ready. I'm ready. All right. a one, a two, you know what to do. Start. That's a new one. Fight. Fight it out. Alright, we're going for extra ball here. Let's take a look. Alright, I would assume Seraph is going for the rescues mode. I assume George is possibly I'm just zooming here. I'm also trying to go for rescues. I just can't find that left ramp again. It's the worst shot in pinball because it changes so drastically. It's like somebody moves the ramp. It's really weird. A little bit of a rattle. There's one. Okay, an unfortunate drain. So Seraph is on ball two. But he does have two rescues? Yep. Alright. I've got one. There's normal two. George has one rescue. That sea shot over there is...could be tricky. You both have the rescue sitting at the sea shot. You're both rattling. Man, I missed it a little bit, only because you said it might be tricky. Don't worry, George. You're both struggling with that one rescue. That guy's going to die. Okay. Not on my watch. Oh, my gosh. Totally not on my watch. Got it. Okay. All right. So that's three rescues for George. Yep. So I don't want to capture. Oh, no. Oh, I captured. All right. Seraph constrains on both three. But George has kind of got to get through. Okay. I don't need to go control room, but I do have that rescue that's currently lit right now. So I'm going to try and grab that before I start my next one. Oh, wow. That was very late. All right. So Seraph is in control room with three captures down. Both of you have... It put it on the O-shot. Can I hit the O-shot on the fly? I hit the O-shot. Oh, my God. Charge is warming up. Nope. Snarf is at... So I think I'm at three rescues right now. No, four. Snarf, I think, is at five rescues. All right, I just got five. Yep, rescue streak five. Chad, if I say something wrong, correct me, but I think they're both at five rescues. Sarah also has two people to... Oh, my God, I just need this last one. Nice flick. Here it is. Get it, get it, get it. I'm going to get it. I'm going to get it. I'm totally going to get it. Oh, oh, an unfortunate club. We'll put Serif out of the game. Okay. So I need to go... Got it. And right ramp. Oh, come on. Oh, wow. Right ramp. Oh, it's not lit anymore. Well, you got it. It just gave it to you. Oh, it did? Oh, it made it up far enough. Even though it came back down, it awarded it. That's it. DMD says extra ball. Really? Yeah. It showed it. Extra ball. It showed it. I don't... His insert is solid. His insert is solid, so he's got another ball queued up. Interesting. Yeah, thank you, Dalton. Yeah, I don't... Tie it up. Two to two. Good job. I don't know if I should... Wait a second, wait a second. So it went up to the top of the ramp and then came back down, but somehow it triggered the extra ball? You know, I'm doing it just like they do in a pin Slash. If it shows it on the DMD, you got it. And it's also the insert is lit. No, I got the extra ball. I feel like I need to hit that right ramp just to confirm it. Okay, we're not doing that. Okay. We're not doing that. Okay, Manu, you called it. It's not flashing anymore than you got it. Oh, no, no. I have an extra ball right now. So it's just, yeah. Truck rule. Okay. Truck rule. I don't know how it, uh... Maybe you got a sensitive switch up there or something. Because the switch is all the way on the, you know... All the way over. ...possible for it to really go back down. Yeah. Hang on. Frisco, I'm going to pull a Jack Danger and just text Elwynn right now. Call Elwynn. We need an official ruling. Does it need to go up? Oh, there's an opto up there too, so it might just need to trigger the opto in order to get it. Because it went up and then it came back down. Mm-hmm. I'm guessing? I don't know. Well, let's move on, gentlemen. Okay. Okay. All right. What is the next... I'm resetting over here. What's the next objective? Oh. Dalton Pinball. Technically, the opto triggered by the ball, so it counts. Okay. We're fine. We're fine. Capture two dinosaurs. Now, Seraph, you already went through and described how to do one dinosaur. I'm going to flip it back over to you because there's some differences on the second dinosaur. Can you walk us through what some of those differences are? Sure. So the second dinosaur will either be the orange dinosaur, I don't know its name, Dilophosaurus I think, or one of the two yellow dinosaurs on the outside here, depending on which way the truck is facing when you start the second paddock, and depending on which dinosaur you catch right first. Now if you go for the yellow one, that one's going to be easier than the orange one. you're only going to need to hit the trap and he will be lit he'll be ready to catch but if you accidentally go for the orange one then not only will you have to after you do the rescues you'll have to hit the trap but also you'll have to hit the right ramp the helipad, actually the helipad ramp and then he'll be ready to catch and if you, after you hit that helipad, if you take too long eventually it'll tell you you have to hit it again. The helicopter has to refuel. So yeah, basically it adds another shot if you do the orange one over the yellow one. Okay. Love the use of appropriate scientific names. Just call them Bob and Steve. No, no, no. We have to use the actual names. Triceratops, Dilophosaurus, and I think the far right one, if you happen to go up the right path as an ankylosaur. Boom. That's how you pronounce it because it sounds way cooler than ankylosaurus. I thought it was pronounced do you think he saw us. Hey, or do you think he saw us, Rex? The other thing I'll mention is the ankylosaurus can freeze rescues. So if he's next to a rescue, he'll actually freeze it or spit on it or whatever he does. and it'll freeze that rescue and you can't beat it for five seconds. Okay. Now, these gentlemen have to get through one dinosaur first. Let's see if that'll happen. Let's see if we make it through that. Gentlemen, you're only getting three balls for this, right? Do you get a restart? Oh, sorry. So, wait, say that one more time. Are you going to do it on three balls, done, or do you get to restart until you get it? One possible restart for every challenge if you don't get it. All right. I will. Noted. No, no. And that's not something we discussed beforehand, but didn't present to the audience. They were aware of what the rules were. So you do get one restart. I'm just trying to make myself useful so that iSkidoo thinks I'm here for anything at all, except taking a bandwidth. Being awesome. Okay, so this one is another timed match. Uh-oh. Sorry. Sorry. No worries. Is there another giant spider? No. It's got really hot in here. Oh. Okay. Yeah, it did. All right. We are capturing two dinosaur... Dinosaurs? Dinosaurs. Dinosaurs. Dinosaurs. Uh, the game's pinball, and we love to play, so here we go. Let's start today. Is that a plunge? Go? Yeah, go. Okay. Oh, fight. I have a graphic for that. Fight. Going for two dinosaurs. I want to take a good look at Seraph. He caught that dinosaur so fast the first time that I didn't even get to sip my tea. George is into rescues now. Yep, so I got my first rescue. So does Seraph. There we go. Now I need to hit my set trap. Trap set. Seraph is rescuing. Not that much. George is still 1% trapped. Unfortunate drain by Seraph. Remember, you do get another restart. You get one restart, so... But let's not go there yet. He won't need that. So I'm just going to be patient. So, George, what are you doing? Are you waiting for the dinosaur to walk over? Yeah, so the dinosaur is going to move further left, and right now it's on a hard shot, but it's going to go to a really easy shot in the middle, and now I can hit it very easy. So the first one's been captured. Okay, first capture for George. Now you have to relight map, right? And you have to hit all three, you have to hit three white inserts, correct? You have to only hit two on your second, and you only have to hit one on your first. They spot you the end. Nice. They do. Where is Sarif? Sarif is still rescuing. All right, so I got my first letter. Now I'm on second letter. Nice flick, I assume. Okay, now I need to post-transfer. I can't believe I made it over. Oh, my God. You just started the second paddock. I just started mine as well. Ooh, I've got a smart missile. Okay. And I have a multiboss. I don't think that's actually helpful at all. That's just slowing me down. I really shouldn't have done that. Nope. Nope. Oh, my gosh. Is it clear paddock? Please tell me I just cleared the paddock. I did. Yes! Vart missile. That does it. Second. Wow. What a clutch move right there. Yeah! Seraph, how close were you? Seraph was... Ugh. Um, well, that's... It's so funny because I thought I hit the button an extra time, but I ran out of time, so my third, my second hit didn't count on the middle button. I was trying to move it to clear paddock, and I accidentally... Because if you guys remember when... Hold on a sec. So let's go back to chatting over there. And when Escher was over, Escher's like, hit it three times. And every time we played, he's like, hit it three times, because that gets you to Raptor multiball. So I hit the missile launch on it, and I went to go hit it. I'm like, how many times do I hit it? Oh, I don't have time anymore. So I tried to hit it three times, but it's just luck that I happened to actually put it on clear paddock. Wow. That's what I said. It's pinball sometimes. Alright Okay I mean yeah That's a strategy I aborted it I feel like Probably should have Just left it on clear paddock But I was never Going to go for that shot Not I only needed The track And then to shoot it So Right Right So why send the ball Potentially That is such a dangerous shot Yeah Yeah Why send the ball wild When you Clear paddock is worth A ton of points I'll do clear paddock all the time on the top five dinosaurs. I'm almost always taking third paddock. Okay. Well, what is our next objective here? So we just did capture two dinosaurs. Ooh, this is the good one. So I had on here initially start control room, but we decided to change it, and you actually have to complete a control room. So this one's kind of interesting. my thing right now is I know I'm curious about all the different ways to light control room I think there's four different ways to light control room or maybe five different things you can do um Sarek do you feel comfortable enough to walk us through some of those yeah sure so there's four different ways and there's three control room modes but four ways to light it so the The easiest way, and almost always the first way, is just catching your first dinosaur. Okay. The another way is failing chaos twice. And also hitting just one jackpot in raptor multiball will also light one. Okay. And then also 15 tower ramps would be the fourth way. Okay. After he played all three Which is the tower ramp I sorry Just to be clear The ramp off the upper flipper here Okay thank you That probably I don know the artist I guess that are spelling Chaos twice Probably the tower ramp, though, 15 times. After you've played all three control room modes, and whichever fourth way that you haven't done yet, once you do that it'll light well actually after you play all three it'll light secure control room which is a mini whip mode. You play that and then when you do the fourth way to light the one that you basically the one you didn't do it'll light invalid frenzy. Which is sort of another hidden mode in the game. I think we saw that in George's stream with Escher. Yeah. Yep. So total side unrelated to that, but I thought it was a really good question. So when you stream, you end up having to talk and narrate a lot of what you're doing, right? Because the dead air is something that it's just kind of hard to watch, right? So you want to avoid dead air. You end up talking or chatting through things. Have either of you found yourselves narrating like everyday life stuff more often after streaming? I've been doing that since I was four. With everything. So it was just Tuesday to me at that point. I don't know. I'm usually just going over pinball rules, and I feel like if I do that in everyday life, people are just going to not want to be around me. I'd like a double tall two-pump white chocolate mocha, and you can achieve a control room by hitting 15 shots on the Raptor Tower. Exactly. Excuse me, sir, I'm not following. Well, I mean, there's other ways you can achieve lighting your control room as well. I feel like I could just keep going with that pantomime, right? By the way, do you mind if I tell you about the soul shard I collected earlier today? Exactly. There's a line behind you, sir, but go ahead. Customer's always right. Exactly. Okay, cool. Well, on that note, great question. Thank you so much, Janelle. Keep those kind of questions coming. Oh, Hopdog definitely finds himself rambling more when playing pinball with friends and needs to consciously shut up. That's awesome. Okay. This one is... Oh, my God. What objective are we doing again? Complete control room mode. Complete control room. This one is timed as well. So, once again, priority on ball, but timing overall. Ball, then time. And we're ready for a countdown. I have a ball in the plunger plunging trough. Ready when you are. All right. So remember, Serif is going to go for maybe just capturing the dinosaur to start it. And George is going for 15 tower. Yep. Got it. These are the rules. We're going to go. Bling is bling and stuff is fun. Ham and eggs for everyone. Fight. Don't, don't, don't. Oh my god, I'm turning all of these into audio clips that I will be using in every fun video going forward. Thanks for the warning. Now it's just going to be, gentlemen, please start your games. Thank you, go. Looks like they're both going for the standard control room by capturing a dinosaur. Darn it, I keep missing the trap shot and hitting the spitter middle thing perfectly. Oh, nope. Hi, Peanut says, I used to be quiet and then I got taught to mutter under my voice at work. Some people don't think the call dropped. Thank you, Peanut. Not good. I see one rescue for George I see two for Sarah oh my god I keep missing it I'm working on the tower shot honestly right now it's what this is turning into 13 more to go I don't know how many tower shots he has actually there he is ooh good nudge alright so first one done I don't know what I want here plus five rescues I guess maybe get an extra ball well possibly yeah it's hard to still crap I'm just gonna let this I gotta let this multiball time out which kind of sucks uh that's just wasting a bunch of time for me cause I can't get into my control room until the multiball time's out Alright, Seraph are you in a control room right now? Yep. Starting right now. He's going to... which control room was that? Is that power? I did system boot. System boot. Alright. System boot requires... Three combos off space please. Three combos, ooh tricky. They time out after about five seconds or so? No, they don't time out. They don't time out. Okay, great. Oh, he's got one. I'm just trying to start my control room. Okay. We're trapped in the pops. Oh, there's a column. Got it. Okay. All right, George is going for... Which control room are you going for? I'm going to go for the one that nobody likes. It's the first one. It's six shots, but I'm really good at the C shot, so I'm going for virus attack. Oh, Serif is really close to being done. Now it's just a shot for the control room. Nope, and I drained out. Are you on ball three? No. You completed it? No, he tilted. Oh. So now we both have to go for the second control room. Because I drained the second I got my control room. Alright. I like that. I ski too. Nice push, Nudgy Nudgers. Boaty McBoatface. Okay, so now I can go for spelling chaos twice. I can continue with my raptor things. Or what was the other option? Oh. Oops. All right, we're back in a situation where these fine players have to work their way through to a new control room. Let's see, what are we doing here? I'm working on my tower shots. All right, well, you hit them. There's three. Four. No, I accidentally lit T-Rex's monkey ball. and you get a jackpot and then we're going to let me time it out we're going to let me time it out oh no that's Raptor sorry my bad now Raptor is one of them though yeah okay it looks like Sari is going through Raptor now. Got a jackpot. That means Control Room is lit after, I assume, after this multiball is done? I think he has to get a jackpot. Oh, he got a jackpot. He got a jackpot. He's very focused. Yeah, I know. I got it. Nonresponsive, but that's okay. I'll watch. So, you know, what kind of music would you say you like, Sari? He's not going to answer you. This way. Up this way. Okay. I don't know Travis Scott. Oh. Rejected control room shot. George, where are you right now in the control room? Oh, unfortunate nudge to the left. I'm on ball three and I've got six count it six nope seven I'm at seven tower shots I'm more than halfway there oh boy I would suggest you do raptor no no no I'm at eight okay sorry for starting this next control room which will be I'm doing it you're doing combos you can replay it uh no I think you have to choose a different one no I ran ball three I have to start a new game Well, if you both fail out, will you start again and try again? Yes. So he, Sarah should start right now and keep it going. Okay. I'm at nine. I'm doing it. You're really going to do this, huh? Yes. Ooh. Whew. We're fine. We're fine here, George. The tower shots are supposed to be the hardest of the four. Yeah, Phil from Memphis. Memphis. That's literally how I live my life. Okay. Nice. Ooh. Sometimes flailing is good, as you can see there. We saw you, George Sometimes flailing is good It's not flailing That's falling with style, okay? Oh my god, how did that not go in there? Alright, so sorry I'm just waiting for the dinosaur to get to a nice location There's ten This is coming down to the wire, folks 11. Flailing is always good. Ooh, boy oh boy oh boy. Yep. This game hates me! We're gonna start calling you Don't Panic Flail. Oh no! Let's see, we're starting to get that control room shot again. This is one of those wacky games where a right orbit leads to a left flipper. It always baffles me. That sucked. Game! George Drain. Was that ball three? Yeah, that was ball three. Darn it, I've got to start over. All right. Firing it up. Firing it up. Okay, Srave. avoided the smart missile. Going for the rescues. All right, and... Is the control room ready? I'm in virus attack. You are in virus attack. All right, thank you. This is going to come down to the wire. There it is. Okay, I've started... Okay, and what ball were you on? uh ping all you're on call one oh in that case you got it excellent job oh good job guys nicely played nicely played whew wow I feel like I should just go slow and uh start slapping the game too hard man those were uh those were painful slaps so it's like the most amount of power but also the most surface area on those flaps, so it doesn't really nudge the machine all that much. It's just a pop. So I played in a tournament last night, and I was fourth player on Mandalorian. I was down, I don't know, 300 million, 350 million or something, and I literally sat there and shot the middle shot probably 35 times in a row, and I slapped the hell out of the game. Yep, every time. Every time it came down. and I came back and won. And it was the most tedious, grindy game of pinball I've ever played and my hand was killing me by the end of it. There's a lot of Mandalorian that's very tedious and grindy. Yes. Now, has anybody played it since the last update where the upper play field, now you no longer are forced to go through bonus. You only get bonus when you complete an entire level. Nice. I have. This one did not have the newest code on it because I think also on the newest code you have to play a hunter mission before you can light... You have to complete a hunter, I think, before you can light the subsequent multiballs. Oh, okay. So it forces you to do something besides hit middle all the time. Yeah, I believe so. I think that's what we added. I see who says it's better. Do you have to do a hunter or a scope before you can do a multiball? Oh, I didn't know you could do a scope. But this one did not have that. So I had to shoot the middle over and over and over. Yeah. Love it. And somehow I got into a mode, and finally I hit a shot worth 84 million. I don't know how, but that was enough. Electronic, what's up? One time I hit a shot on stream for 130-something million. I had no idea how I did that. A middle shot. A blue, you know. One of those hurry-ups. Yeah, one of the hurry-ups. Yeah. Especially, you do the hurry-up with your 6x brought in, and those hurry-ups can get to be crazy. Oh, Mike from Pinballers actually had like a 1.5 billion hurry-up shot or a 1 billion hurry-up shot. So he had beat the game, but the bonus on the hurry-up or the amount on the hurry-up I think carries through even after you beat the game. So it just continues to get bigger and bigger every time you get into that multiball. Oh, George, I'm also wearing a Godzilla shirt right now. Manu, your mic is low? It doesn't sound low to me. Talk again, Manu. Am I not becoming unclear enough for you guys? I think I'm going to need to grab another pair of headphones here in a minute. Just told me battery was low. Dirty toes! Yeah. I'm looking at the levels, and I could drop myself down maybe a hair, but both of Seraph and MPT-3... Okay. Batteries low on this one. Joe, I don't think it's possible for you to drop yourself down a level. I don't think it's possible. I don't think it's possible either. You would not teach Zoe to drop herself down one level, so don't you do it either. Never. I would never say that. Yeah, be loud. Nope. Maybe George is just really loud. I could be really loud, yeah. um what if pinballs were actually made of iron asks mr hard like by the way dirty toes good evening and welcome to the stream two times in one week what if it was actually made of iron uh i mean there's no real moisture in a pinball machine i don't know how i don't know interesting question iron pinball Oh, because of Iron Pinball. It's your name's pinball. Yes. I didn't get it. I didn't get it. I'm here for you. I'm here for you. Nothing would go over my head because my reflexes are too fast and I would catch it. You're too busy yet watching old episodes of Laverne and Shirley. That's okay. That's all right. I've never seen Laverne and Shirley. Is it Laverne? Laverne. Laverne and Shirley. Laverne and Shirley. Okay. Yeah, it's Laverne and Shirley. Let's everyone in chat just tell George it's Laverne and Shirley. I feel like it's not Vern. Is it Lover? No, no. It's Vern and Shirley. Okay. Can we have George and Manu stream at Next Level in Portland? Dirty Toes. I so want to go. Yeah. That's not nice. Amanda calling out Manu. Oh. Amanda, it's Vern and Shirley. It's a dude and Shirley from What's Happening. Burton Shirley hold on Manu you have the you have the comm for a second but Shirley and Burn why would you put it on me right now I put it on because I need to get a beer I'm out what am I going to do continue talking about Burton Shirley this little break right now ladies and gentlemen is sponsored by TPN and also Bubbly If you want to drink some water that tastes like fruit and then burp, bubbly is your deal. That refreshing, watery, slightly flavored burp taste. Manu didn't actually freeze. I was worried for a second that your camera froze. Okay. Bubbly. it's only Laverne because they use they tap into another language for the title it's actually the Vern and Shirley wouldn't it be Laverna if that was the case Fliptronic drinking peach hair LaCroix I'm surprised you're not drinking alcohol with the back issues that kind of helps right it's relaxing careful man it will come out your nose Game Club Central, welcome to the stream. Or if you've been here for a while, sorry, I'm just noticing. I don't drink alcohol. You're not by yourself. Fliptronic, you're with all of us. We're here with you. Oh, my God, Hot Nudge. Leroy Jenkins. Hot Nudge coming in hot with 23 beautiful individuals. Hot Nudge, thank you so much. And if you're just joining us, tonight is a special stream. It is an Iron Pinball Battle Jurassic Park, where it is me, Don't Panic Flip, versus Seraph, a.k.a. Brian, with the one and only Mr. Manu, a.k.a. MPT3K, acting as moderator. Acting. Too-too. I'm a thespian. You are a thespian, yes. Yes. Sure. All right. I'm back. I got the headset now. And we've got a headset. So for those of you just joining, really quick, this is what this looks like. Two side-by-side playfields. We have access to LCDs, and then you can see us. And we are tied right now at 1130 at 3 to 3 on these objectives. In fact, now that, Seraph, you are back on the headphones, then you can hear us. Is that correct? Yep. Okay, Seraph can hear us. Let's go check out what those objectives are and see what we're doing next. Ooh, looks like it's Start Chaos Multiball. All right. Whew! Seraph, who is amazing at giving direction, especially on Jurassic Park here. Seraph, I'm going to switch this over to you. And, Seraph, do you want to walk us through how one achieves Starting Chaos Multiball? Yes. So, basically, you have to spell chaos in order. And if you look on the play field, you see C on the control room shot, H on the left ramp, A on the right ramp, O on the right orbit. Or most people just call it the O shot. And also S on the helipad. So you spell chaos, which will light the target in the back of the pops. It'll be amber target. You hit that, and it'll start the multiball. You can also shortcut spelling chaos. There is a smart missile award that will complete chaos for you. You light the smart missile by collecting a certain number of rescues, which will then light the in-lane over here smart missile. It's basically a hurry up to hit that target if you choose complete chaos. that won't start chaos, that only spell it, but there's actually a good chance that if you do hit it, once it's up there in the pops, it might just bounce around and hit it again, which will start it. Okay. So, really quick catching up on chat then. A, if you guys have any additional questions about any of these objectives or about Jurassic Park in general, hit us up. Manu has all of the answers and will definitely be able to respond. Outside of that, I'm not that intoxicated. I think, um, Seraph, how are you? Because HotNudge asked if we were as intoxicated as they were. I've had, let's see, almost two beers. Okay. I'm on my third drink on stream, but I had two drinks before coming in. I feel fine. I would not drive right now by any means, but I'm feeling okay and loose. At the same time, Pinfolk, thank you so much. Always ahead of the Game With production. That's appreciated. Ice Ski Dude, no sponsors, like actual sponsors right now. I mean, Bubly is sponsoring my news little corner up there at the top right. Yeah, but no actual sponsors on this stream yet. In fact, not at all, I think, ever on this stream. But with TPN stuff, really excited for that coming up, which would be beginning next week after the new year. Oh, Game Club Central, thank you so much for those bits. My hat's off to you. Now, the objective is to complete Chaos Multiball. This is another timed event. Manu, do you want to count us down? I'm sorry. Start Chaos Multiball. What did I say? Complete Chaos Multiball. Cool, totally. I am not that drunk hot nudge. But apparently I'm making mistakes now, so we're fine. I don't think I've ever completed Chaos Multiball. I have never completed it either. I've gotten to the S, I think, two or three times, but I didn't make that final jackpot. S. All right, Manu, you're on the countdown. All right, gentlemen. Sometimes when you grow up, things happen to your body. No, just kidding. Use that one, George. Sometimes when you... Yeah, I like it. I like it. I don't even know where you were going. I'm just like, okay, this is interesting. this is interesting, let's see what happens here uh let's do the other thing here we go, a one, a two you know what to do fight fight fight alright, just so chat knows as far as I'm aware, to spell chaos you have to spell it in order so you can't just hit the H and the O notice both their C's are lit And it's like Seraph has got the C going for the H. It's a bounce a little bit right there. H is the T-Rex. Oh, my God. Just get in there. Go to your home. Man in a pin caster. Well, Seraph has got the A. And the O shot is a tough shot. George is getting another fresh ball. He didn't like that one that he had. No. Bad ball. Bad ball. This next one, this is a good one. This is the iron one. There it is. See? I got that C right away. All right. You gain a little time with the O. Well, Serif's got the O, and... Oh, my God. He already has his O shot? Got the O shot, but he had a little bit of time. All right. I'm going A. Ooh, good save, Serif. Let's see. Smart Missile might give him chaos, and he can avoid the... All right. He's going to go for the S again. George is at the A. Beautiful shot to the ramp. Right now... O shot. Nope. Serif gets the S shot. And now, if you notice, chat, chaos is lit up at the top. In the middle of the pops is a red insert flashing. George is on the O shot. it. Oh my god! Serif! Oh my gosh! That was amazing! Wow! Wow! Game over, man. Game over. Gotta shoot that spinner. You gotta try to hit it not cleanly so it doesn't go all the way around. Wow! Yes, dirty toes. That was a mic drop moment right there. Well done. That didn't look easy. There was some trouble that Serif had a little bit, but We got the composure and smart the blame. Wow. Okay, so what have we got? We've got Mic Drop, That Is Knowing Your Jet, Smart Play, Dang, Skill, Ladies and Gentlemen, and a Well Done from Uncle Rich. I also don't know what H-Y-C-Y-B-H Manu is. I just did it. Yes, I did. I just did it. What shot did you get hung up on? The C. The C? That was the... I made it pretty quick to the O after that. Yeah. I mean, the C's not easy. His mom got shot. I love how the memes from one stream was going to the other. I love it. Yeah, the C can be dangerous, too. I almost drained coming out of there. I did. I immediately went to ball two. Oh, really? So, something I see, like when I hit it, It's not always a clean feed out. Sometimes it goes, you either go to raise the left flipper or it's going, you've got to slap to the right. Now, did you, I think you actually went through and just hit all the shots, right? Like, you just went through it naturally as opposed to going for. Yeah, I had the smart missile, but I only had the S left, so I didn't even go for it. Okay, makes sense. And what are you all racing to? Pinfolk, we have 10 objectives that we're trying to get to. And if we tie at 10, we go to a sudden death. And I have not built a sudden death scene, but it's happened, I think, three times in the history of Iron Pinball. So I should build a scene at some point for sudden death. But that'll be a fun one if we get there. And we'll just have to decide what that is. No, I mean, I already obviously have something planned for sudden death just in that case. In the meantime, what do we have up next? Whew! Collect a fossil. Now, this one's kind of tough. It's moving right along, isn't it? It is. I'm going back over to Seraph. Seraph, do you want to explain some of, like, how you collect a fossil? Yeah. First I'll talk just briefly about what fossils are. Actually, let me just start again so I can actually get it. It's going to go off the screen pretty quick, but if you look at the score, right there, fossil collection. So basically there's four columns. Oh, hold on a sec. With a CMD, yeah. Yeah, I turned the DMD off. Give me one second. Manu, you're going to go away. That's cool. All right, go ahead and show us what you got. So you'll see four columns of fossils, and these are fossil sets. It's gone. But basically, collecting each, you do different things in the game, beat modes, do different achievements. You'll earn a fossil. If you complete any one of those columns, you'll get some sort of award, whether it's extra ball or multipliers or whatever. There's a lot of different ways to collect different fossils in the game. I'll just go over a few of them. One is completing a control room mode. Also, completing a T-Rex mode that is not T-Rex multiball. You'll award a fossil. So completing either one of the, collecting a super jackpot in Raptor or Chaos, or I think Skull and Chaos will give you a fossil. Those are multi-balls. Yes, those are the multi-balls. Completing all the shots in the multiball and then getting another shot. I'm sorry, when you say completing a T-Rex. Yeah, so T-Rex, so we've been focusing on control room modes, but there's also T-Rex modes, and you just, you do those by spelling T-Rex, you can see at the top of the score. Every time you hit the truck, it'll give you another letter, and there's four different modes, but the first one is always T-Rex multiball. And T-Rex multiball, you cannot get a fossil from that, but the other three, you can. Okay. and let's see what else there's also wild card fossils which will fill in the easiest which means or the earliest which just means the column to the left it'll just start filling them in whatever you don't have some examples of those are 30 rescues I think this is a very tough mode pinfolk 30 tower ramps. There's a lot more. I don't want to confuse people too much. But basically, probably the easiest thing for George or I to do would be either a T-Rex mode or a control room mode. Yeah, I think my thought is to go for both of them, right? So complete a – I'll continue hitting the T-Rex, right, to enable the modes. try and bring a multiball into my first control room, which is kind of setting it up for if I don't finish that control room for some reason in time, then I'm ready to make progress towards my second T-Rex. But yeah, super tough task. Do you get one restart on this, or just three balls and you're done? We are already at 1138. Can I suggest that on this one, so we can move through a little bit faster if we don't get it, rather than restart, we go based on score. So it would be ball, time, and then score. And no restart. That's on you, Sarik. Yeah, that's you. Okay, cool. Let's do that. I am ready. Manu, you can count us down. Once again, I don't need to say this, but gentlemen, when you've collected a fossil, just shout it out. Okay. Alright, we are here to watch this game. This is certainly not lame. I want to tell you a little thing. Eat the stuff and here's your bling. What? Fight. Fight. Yo, I'm spitting mad lyrics up in here. That was well done. Sounded extremely white. Yo, I'm spitting mad lyrics up in here. my lyrics are angry ooh thank you ooh also Pinfolk says I take it y'all are a different yes Pinfolk we do these iron pinball battles with everyone kind of around the world so next week is going to be against Pez Johnson on Tuesday and then after that is going to be an iron pinball battle the next week with what his name Frisco Pinball on Man, it's so hard to talk and do this at the same time. Frisco Pinball on Godzilla. And then we have another one kind of tentatively planned with Pinball Undesirables, which I have yet to schedule and finalize. That was a... That danger was worth. Hashtag worth. Quite mad. Jedi McMuffin, welcome to the stream. Ooh, and Jedi will be doing the moderation and commentating on next week's battle with Pez Johnson. Yeah, you have an extremely low bar to hit, Jedi. Good luck. You say that, but... Also, I'm now crooked on the play field. That was a slide save for the slide saves. All right, so I'm ready to start my control room. You both are in control room right now. Pinfolk, the only requirement really is that you have, you're streaming regularly and that we can find people that have the same game. It doesn't have to be me, even though it's on my stream right now. We've done quite a few streams between two other streamers, and I'm the moderator slash commentator. I've got to drain some cereal. It's okay. Give that. All right. Ooh. Get in that control room, baby. I've got to hit the control room shot again. There it is. All right, so one more combo of shots and I've got it. Oh, my God. All right, so where's Serif is? No. That's fine. And T-Rex. Timing out T-Rex multiple. Yep, you should have timed out. All right. And got it. Did you get the fossil, though? Let's see. We need to see it. Yeah, Gallimimus fossil. collected. We got a tie, ladies and gentlemen. We got a tie? We got four. I was on ball one. Dang it. Were you also on ball one? Oh, you don't mean we tied on... I drained in a virus attack. Once you add one to your score, George, it will be four games. I thought you meant we both got a fossil at the exact same time, and I'm like, oh my god, that never happened. How cool would that be? okay I gotta go over here and hit that button and then go to chat doing the thing wow okay this is good I love it when they're close can I ask something of course please do I need to go pee pee oh yes please go use the bathroom I've got more follow up questions for Starif. So, Starif, you mentioned that you started playing pinball only in 2020. What were your thoughts on pinball prior to 2020? Were you a fan? Like, what... Before 2020? I don't think I knew it existed. Okay. I think I remember playing... as a kid, like at hotels or whatever, right? Hotels would always have some sort of, like, crappy little arcade. Yeah. I think the only games I really remember are Terminator 2, maybe Lord of the Rings. Obviously, that came later, but... And that's it. Maybe Addams Family. And then I didn't even... I never thought about them again until, like I said, my brother-in-law got me into it, and I was kind of hooked from there. And what was the game that got you hooked? Sorry, go ahead. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt. There was that little gap, and I thought I'd jump in, but I'm curious, what was the game that got you hooked? You said your brother got you hooked. Was it a specific game? Yeah, well, at the time, he had Terminator 2 and Lord of the Rings, and they just happened to be the same, the ones that I kind of remember from earlier. But I think it's probably Lord of the Rings, just the fact that I never realized that the rule sets on some of the games were as complex and deep as they are. And then, you know, the best, I think the best designed rule sets are the ones where not only is there a lot to do, but also where the risk reward is balanced. so you get rewarded appropriately based on the risk that you're taking. And, of course, you want some immersion into the theme. So when you can balance all those things together, and some games do it really well, it's just, I mean, it's kind of hard not to be most, especially when, like I play a lot of video games, and pinball is sort of just a more expensive and visceral form of a video game, I guess. $60 on the new Halo game or, you know, several thousand, quite a few thousand on a new pinball machine. That's right. Six one way, half a dozen the other. Okay, cool. So we're back and, ooh, this should be a fun one. This is a timed Escape Nublar session. Now, when there was pin Slash happening, you can see kind of the meta of pin Slash shift, where it came down to finding all of the different times and opportunities to get the ball and prep for a shot or take a stab at a shot, but it doesn't engage the timer. Are you familiar with those kind of subtleties in the Escape Nublar timed event? No. Okay. Okay. The biggest one... So, the easiest one, right off the bat, is just instead of full plunging, short plunge. And if you trap, you can move it, like, let's say, post-transfer from one to the other. You can basically set up your shot, right? And then after that, it's all about... And I'm going to switch to show my screen here. But when you get into Escape Nublar, it basically... It's going to assume that you made it to Visitor Center. and it's going to light up the path you took, either the top left or the bottom right. And when we do competition, it's consistently, I think, the bottom right. And it's going to, or it's actually, I'm sorry, it's going to be the direction that your Nata Jeep is currently pointing, the opposite of it, or whatever. It's related. And what you want to do for timing is go back the exact same way. So essentially, never touch, if possible, never touch your Nata Jeep. And I'm so sorry, Manu, you're not in the scene right now. I'm almost done. I'm good. But if it's the bottom that's lit, you want to take that same path and use the bottom. And while you're in Escape Nublar, if it's a paddock that you've already visited, if you're on the path that you came there, you only have to complete a smaller number of rescues, and then you have to find a hidden escape. And that could be one of any number of shots, and they're all lit every single time. You have to guess which one it is, and then finally you escape on the left ramp. And you just do that a repeated number of times. Oh, my God. Dirty toes. Dirty toes. Okay, now we're even, okay? I'm going to ask, can I move my truck real quick? I'm just going to start again. Yeah, please. Yeah, go for it. I kind of want to do this. Whatever. I'm fine. This should be exciting. Now, this is going to come down to time. Yes. Hold on your butts. Now, so what we didn't talk about, Seraph, is if we don't complete, the next step, I'm guessing, is how many paddocks did you progress? And if we happen to both not complete and make it to the same paddock, we could then go based on score. Sounds good. Does that sound good? Yeah. Yeah, that makes sense. Okay. In that case, I'm going to switch us over to our battle scene. And this is timed, but we're going to do a competition mode. And did you get it moved appropriately? Yep. Okay. Drive the Nauti-Jeep, escape Nublar, slam dunk Nedry in the volcano on the way out. Higher peanut, exactly. Is that already? Yeah, I've got the ball loaded into the lane right now. Okay, are you guys ready? I am ready whenever you are. All right, you've defeated the dinosaurs. You've come this far, and now it's time to escape. Ublar. Fight! Nicely done, nicely done. By the way, this now keeps track of the timing for you. You guys can see the timer. Hopefully you guys can see the timer in the channel. So on each one of their DMTs. Also, sorry. Go ahead. Go ahead. I was going to say, also, if you don't like the shot that is currently lit for, for, hold on, I can't think and play at the same time. If you don't like the shot that is currently lit to rescue, you can move the Nata Jeep and it will change the shots. I know, it's a little small, but we will give you the update. Ah, I lost my first ball. The penalty in losing your first ball is not only time, but... The ball? It is... The timer keeps running? No, the timer stops. So you can look at mine, and my timer is stuck at 50 seconds right now. Got it. So, and I did the short plunge trick that I was just talking about, so now it's not counting anything. I'm on my second ball. I think, sorry, for you... Also on the second ball. Okay. I guess they call them trucks now instead of balls. Yeah, I guess those are, yeah, that makes sense. You guys, if you want to track their progress, you can see the trail of, I guess, caddocks down the list. Give me that back. Give me that back. Yeah. Yeah. So, the truck nut position turns the route. If the truck nut is on the right, it's the East Coast path. Truck nut. What? Okay, sorry. What is the significance of truck nut? I don't know the truck nut thing. Second place, Andy. Oh, no, I went the wrong way. Crap. That's not good. And you can see why you don't ever want to go the wrong way. Do you see all the rescues I have to complete? You wanted to leave those guys behind to die. Is what you're saying. I mean, yeah, that's accurate. Ah, truck ball. Got it. Yeah, got it. Oh, I'm never going to unsee that now. Thank you so much, chat. All right, hit this last shot. No! Sorry, are you done? Oh, oh, still going. All right, so I've got to go for this helipad shot. There, come on! All right, so now we're going to go... Oh, no. Keep going right now. Darn it. Darn it. Darn it. All right, so I'm on my last ball, and I forgot to shift my play field back into camera. Let's do that. That's fine. That's fine. I'm going to do the little short plunge trick. Now, by the way, this was what you had to do in under three minutes. Oh, no. You had to do it in under... It was some ridiculous time to get into Pin Slash, which is hosted by Carl D'Python Anghelo. I'm done. Are you done? I guess I don't understand it. What's up? I don't know how I'm done. Wait, he found the exit. No. You only have 108 million. I don't know the rules well enough. So, George, there was a point where his DMD said, exit found. Oh, but that's exit. So every time you complete a... If you get out of a paddock, you find an exit. I'm confused, though. Did you go through all three balls? No. That... We're in a chat scene. I'm not terribly familiar with this mode, so I'm not very much helped here. I don't... So wait. You can run out of time. I died anyways, so... I was on the third... I was on the yellow guy here on the right. Okay, and exit. Manu, welcome back. Don't worry, Lobster sticks the magnet. It's just Manu. He left for a second, and now we're back. So when you complete... When you actually complete, you get something like a 250 or 300 million point bonus, and I have no idea what happened there. Now, do you know which paddock you were on? I mean, yeah, I've done it. Yeah, I was on the yellow one on the right. The yellow, okay. So you... And did the game just drain out? Oh, wait a second. Did you time out? I ran with fuel, but I got the... Then it goes into that 15 second thing. Right. And I hit the shot. so the escape was lit and then I drained. And I guess that ate two trucks. This shouldn't eat two trucks, ever. You should always have a third truck. Oh, wait a second. I guess training in that situation used up two trucks. Ah, and you timed out. Somehow used two trucks. Okay, either way, you progressed further than me. You still got the win. Oh. Yeah, exactly. You definitely won that one. ZZ, thank you for the raid and Arthur Pendragon. How are you? Welcome, Arthur Pendragon. Hi and bye. And Zexi, if I had a hat, I would take it off. Thank you. Zexi, I like that. And welcome to the train. I'm assuming it's Zexi. I like that. Zexi is... I guess maybe it was on the orange. I don't know. We'd have to go back and check. Which one were you on? I did not complete the orange, but I was on the orange. So whichever one... So I was at exit. I guess I would have been slightly further than you. Because I had exit found. Either on orange or yellow. Yep. Okay. You got it. I don't know. Zexi actually pronounced Panique Filipe. Just... Oh, Zexi got to the wizard mode. Congratulations. Yeah, you should be stoked. That's a great wizard mode. That's a really hard wizard mode. Yeah. Final Battle. Wait. Did you get to Cowabunga or Final... Did you get to... Yeah, Cowabunga. Was it Cowabunga, dude? Cowabunga is the redonk one. That's where you've got to get everything. But the final battle, you've just got to make it through the eight modes, which is still super difficult. Final battle. I'm not cool enough for Cowabunga. Still, congrats. That's not easy. I haven't seen anybody do Cowabunga. Yeah, I've never seen anybody do Cowabunga either. Okay. It is 11.56. We are on our tenth and final Dirty Toes rating with a party of one. Dirty Toes, thank you. My hat's off to you. All right. we have to capture three dinosaurs. This is the final one. And we're sitting at 5-4. If I can somehow catch up and capture the third dinosaur, we go into sudden death. Yeah, now it gets, once again, we've captured one dino, then we captured two, and now we're capturing three. And the third dinosaur, once again, gets a little bit different and a little bit harder. I'm going to switch over to you, Sarah, if you're doing an amazing job of walking us through directions on each one of these. Can you explain to us how to get to the third dinosaur and maybe what difficulties we're going to encounter on the third one? Yeah, sure. So you've got two different options here. You can either go green, orange, yellow, or you can go green, yellow, orange. Either way, you're going to have to catch, or you could go green, yellow, red. That would be dumb, I think. Achievement unlocked. Target acquired. Yeah, I wouldn't do that. I mean, you might accidentally do it, but shouldn't try to do it. Between the two oranges that you get to choose from, I think the first one, the Dilophosaurus, the one who spits, is slightly easier because you only have to hit one of the trap targets, I believe. And I'm pretty sure with the other two oranges further up, you have to hit both trap targets. I believe. Okay. So that's pretty much the only difference between them. I think they both require two. The Dilophosaurus requires two rescues, and I don't remember if the upper one requires two or three. So that could be also something to keep in mind. The T-Rex only requires two rescues if you were to do that, but you have to hit both trap targets. And he moves around really fast. And there's only eight rescues, and he'll breeze through them pretty quick. Okay. Yep. Manu, do you have any questions about this challenge? What are our limits? Is it a three-ball game? You get a restart? Once again, for time, because we're approaching 12. One game. Yeah, one game. And we do the same thing. It's on ball, then it's time. and then if neither of us finish, it would be the ending score of the game. Wow. So, okay. I mean, but you could literally just sit on a thing and just build up score. Does it have anything to do with, like, how far, how many captures you got? Does that have precedence? No, that's a really good point. So we could do ball time paddock progression, right? So if you make it through one paddock, two paddock, or three paddocks, and then finally, if we tied on all of those, it would come down to score. You got it. Okay? Does that make sense there? Yeah, makes sense. Let's do it. All right. The hour is ready. The guys have... The guys have what? The guys have fight. It's poetry, but it doesn't have to rhyme. It doesn't have to rhyme. Words are hard. Words are hard. Things go. Go. Go. Got it. Orange. Nightbot is telling me that you've got super soft shirts and hoodies on Silverbolt swag. Make sure to go there. Thank you. The night is long. The arms are steady. Let's get ready to rock steady. You can't rhyme steady with steady. I'm already on ball two so oh come on sir if you can do this baby mom's spaghetti it gave me it gave me some pretty mean recipes on the first one alright got a ball safe George got a ball safe I got a ball safe I'm still technically on ball one but I just wasted my escape on alright I'll see you first alright oh nasty So mean! So mean! Serif's two down and ninth save. Wow, that was a hell of a live catch. Serif is already on the second. Yeah, Serif is already on the second. I completed the first. Dinosaur. Is it dinosaurs or cats and dinosaurs? How about boots and cats? The flailing skills of Don't Panic Flip are still... It's called... Wow. Can I finish? Can I finish, please? It's a double slap save. It's not flailing. It's skill. Uh, so you started a control room, I guess because you have to. Yeah, yeah, that was lit, and I needed the rescue on it. Okay. All right, I'm on my second. You both are on your second, and I guess you're just going to have to play that control room also. Smart missile away. Smart missile miss. Got it. Ooh, good save. Sorry, put the good save. George is... It's the right ramp, but that's okay. Boom. Right ramp champ. Um, am I in it? Yeah, I am. There we go. So we're going to get a smart missile here, and I'm going to try and clear the paddock with my smart missile. All right. nope that was unfortunate this helicopter to cut for a sir if it's bad sorry I'm just saying oh good double flip from sir if they generally look like flails on George, but there's a clean, clean double flip. By the way, Chad, he's never asking me to do this again. No, this is great. Oh my God. Get in the hole. Another clean double flip from the center. Hit that shot, man. Come on. There it is. All right. George, are you at capture dinosaur? I'm on my... I'm trying to capture my second. Okay. Ooh. So, Sari, you're on the third paddock. Okay, so you both are pretty much neck and neck. So, you're just a little ahead. Crap. Wow. Wow. Ball save. Good tower shot Okay So I don't want to start this multiball No So he was waiting for the For the dragon to go to a good shot I gotta time out this T-Rex, darn it Just gotta catch the dragon I wonder The waiting game is real. Boom, the shot. He misses, but he's got to recover and get it. Boom, he hits it. Nicely done. Nicely done. Would you say that's the third, Dino? That's three. That's three. Congratulations. There you go, folks. Wow. Heck yeah. Fart Missile sailed. Seraph is taking the ninth, six to four. Wait a second. I have something for this. Check this out. Check this out right here. Wait, wait, wait. What? Were you on ball one or two? I'm on ball... That was ball two. Okay, we're good. Okay, cool. You want to be fair. Wow, that is beautiful, George. Oh, nice. It's very nice. Your stream game is... Yeah. We're just still up there. Trying to get things a little better every now and then, but I do have a celebration portion to this stream. And there's some music playing, I think, in the background right now. Pinfolk, thank you so much. And Seraph, congratulations. I will send you the trophy, the iron pinball, which you can see right there. I actually send it to everyone who wins. And then if you come back and do it again, you get a multiplier on it. So you get an iron pinball camp X1. If you do it 20 times, you get a Star Wars multiplier. Right, yeah. You get that double 40X. I'm going to have it on my stream up there in the corner somewhere.
