## Analysis

Jack Danger and Josh Kugler (American Pinball software engineer) stream Hot Wheels pinball gameplay, demonstrating core mechanics including the tachometer multiplier system, three multiball modes (Victory Lap, Track, Loop Crash), creature battles, and hero card collection. The game emphasizes approachability for casual/family play while maintaining depth through risk-reward shot selection and redline mechanics. Josh discusses design philosophy: tachometer ties all scoring, stepped RPM targets create interesting ball action, 400 Hot Wheels cars featured in animations (half from YouTube series, half original), and new audio-visual engine enables 10-second boot time and superior animations.

### Key Claims

- [HIGH] Hot Wheels features 400 different Hot Wheels cars in game animations — _Josh Kugler explicitly states during stream when discussing Card mechanics: 'There are, in the game, there are 400 Hot Wheels cards in the game. In the animations of the game.'_
- [HIGH] Game boots in approximately 10 seconds due to new audio-visual engine, compared to 2 minutes previously — _Josh: 'this game boots in like 10 seconds. And I gave Joe grief early on. I said, you're hurting my productivity with this new system. I used to have two minutes after I go to boot up the game to do something, and now it boots in 10 seconds.'_
- [HIGH] The tachometer multiplier system was specifically requested by Joe Balser as a core design element — _Josh: 'Most important feature is the tachometer. When we started working on the game, Joe Schober said, I've always wanted to do a game where there's a device that ties into all scoring.'_
- [HIGH] Stepped RPM targets were a novel mechanical innovation by Joe Balser that create interesting ball action through risk-reward — _Josh: 'we have these interesting stepped stand-ups that Joe Balser did. He brought it by one day, a plan... And what that does is it creates some really interesting ball action. So it's very much a risk-reward.'_
- [HIGH] Game designed to be approachable with family playtesting showing children under 10 understand rules quickly — _Josh: 'We've actually been doing some play testing with a pinball family with some kids under the age of 10... they really understood the rules quickly, figured out what to be doing, and they're loving the game.'_
- [HIGH] Hot Wheels cars can be swapped in the game using industrial-strength loop locks, with custom cars fitting in center post — _Josh confirms during gameplay: 'the game will come with some... You use, like, this industrial strength loop lock and stuff. and the game will come with five extra pieces where you can swap out any of the cars which ones you want almost every car will fit'_
- [MEDIUM] Hot Wheels manufactures approximately 10 million cars per week — _Mentioned during trivia: 'The question is How many Hot Wheels cars do they make each week?' Answer given: '10 million cars a week.'_
- [HIGH] Game contains 140 LEDs for light show effects, attempting to match Matt Scott's standards — _Josh: 'We put 140 LEDs in there to at least use that to help handicap us a little bit' in reference to competing with Matt Scott's light show design._

## Transcript

Jack Danger, this is the first time we've streamed today, and we're going to be streaming Hot Wheels from American Pinball. I'm joined by Josh Kugler, and he's the software engineer on this game, and we're going to just have him start attacking. What do you want to talk about? Let's go. So, you know, they were saying radio, your audience changes every half hour, so it's been a half hour since we started this. Maybe not that long. So what we're going to do is, rather than explain a lot about the game, I'm going to quickly go through the rule sheet on the game, the directions, and quickly point to a few things, and Jack's going to play a game, and then we'll talk more about the game. Hopefully I can do this even better than the first one. That was terrible. Clearly have not had enough tequila yet, so we'll get there. Okay, so RPM targets here, advanced attack that increases all scoring in the game. Battle letters here, like the modes which are creature battles, and they can be started here or here, at least the first couple of times. Hitting the card targets will move you towards mystery awards and special modes. And each of those things will earn you a hero card. So you'll see here in the middle there's five hero cards. Ultimately, your objective is to collect all five. Spelling epic at the lanes, hitting start will light certain shots, ramps, loops, card targets for big points. You have to qualify and then collect the jackpot or you might epic fail. There are three big multiballs in the game. The most important is victory lap multiball. You'll see the inserts are labeled for the race. You need to go from 12th position to first to get to the multiball. Do that. Also do track multiball and loop crash multiball. Get another hero. Red line the track and great stuff happens. And that's all we're going to tell you for now. Jack's going to play. After he plays the game, we'll talk a little bit more about it. If his game goes really long, then I'm going to start talking. I won't be able to help myself. All right, Jack. It's started. Cool, and it looks like we've got a nice, solid stream now. Thank you for sticking with us, Internet. You're beautiful. This is going to be a lot of fun. So Josh actually has his own microphone over here so he can talk while we're playing, if he has anything to say about my gameplay and whatnot. Let me get some hearts and chat. If everything looks and sounds okay, we are recording locally as well. Bye-bye, Buffering. We did it. We're streaming off of my cell phone. All right, let's do this. How does that sound? Is it too loud? Not loud enough? Does it need to be up, down? Where are we at? Sounds good. Got this? Yeah, sounds great. Sounds good. Too loud? I'll tell you who's responsible. Me. Why? Because I'm evil. All right, cool. If it sounds good, we're going to leave it. All right, here we go. We're going to leave it. Don't worry, Sheriff. We're here to help. All right, so the skill shot on this game is a soft plunge here, but also you have to work the tachometer. So with the left flipper, I'm going to try to get the tach to just when it hits red, and then soft plunge up to the three and have it come down. So check this out. Oh, well, we got the one. So that's still good. And had we gone up there, that would have been the skill shot. All right. So something that Josh pointed out to me when I was playing this. One, I suck at pinball. Two, those RPM targets are very important to your score. I didn't tap it right. Here we go. Gentlemen, start your engines! That gets us stopped. Thank you. Don't be weird. So, uh, let's go. And release hammers on Hot Wheel City. So you just scoop, and you start to bounce. Scoop or scoop up there. Is this draft cannibal? Ooh, it is, but I just got to try it. Nice. Pretty much every shot in the game is draft cannibal. Every game. I love it. Can you hear the shaker? Oh You flashing it's time we stop monkeying around Doctor's too quiet There he's a lot he's a lot louder Not talking much that's a little he should be louder Come on, baby. Yeah, we're just going to play a quick game, and then we're going to go over some more stuff. So, pretty straightforward. Follow the flashing lights. We got these little cars here. There we go. Come on. Looks like we got a mystery award right here. Let's go. First impression, I love the rules on this thing. like I thought I did really well on this game but our buddy Andy came by and it tracks the speed on how quickly you get through the race and Andy put like an unreal number on this thing like two minutes yeah it's an insane number I'm not sure I haven't talked to Andy I'm just curious Andy is one of those yeah oh yeah So you'll see like the stop motion animation stuff like that. It's based off of the YouTube series So you want to build up your tachometer here these are the targets but you got to hit the ones that you haven't hit already That's a lot. Your game shoots too well, Josh, says Andy Bagwell. Track multiball. Track multiball. Can't hear Hot Wheels. And everyone didn't screw up the stats that we were trying to come up with. That's cool. Game audio could come down a little bit. Audio's louder than you. Sounds great. We'll turn that down a little bit. I'm just happy the stream stabilized the internet. I'm a little shaken from that. Nothing worse than saying you're going to be alive at a time and then the internet decides to have other plans. So there's a mode in this that gets you to a multiball by chasing these 12th, 11th, 10th dots there. So I needed that ramp. But boost scoring is also good. And what does that do again? that doubles the... Actually, boost scoring will take the tachometer a tenfold. So it's a very short... This is nitro, baby. This is a really short for super high scoring. You know, it's a shot that you certainly have control over whether to make it or not. It's a tight shot. So, you know, really figuring out the right time to use it. We've already had quite a few debates because each have a different approach to when we want to use, you know, turbo. But it's, you know, kind of you want to know when it's there, you want to know when it's lit, and use it wisely. Obviously it's always a bummer when you trigger it and then shoot absolutely nothing, and it ends and you're like, I just wasted it. Exactly. Alright, so that game went pretty quick, but I think I was more focused on making sure everything was working good. By the way, we do have some American people, American pinball people in chat to be answering questions. I think Josh is also going to be looking at some stuff too. So let's have a conversation about this game. So if you want We could bring the mic over while you're standing. So Hot Wheels is quite a bit different than our last game, Oktoberfest. In that Oktoberfest was a very heavy mode-oriented game. There was a lot of strategy around the steins and the tents. And one of the things we wanted to do on this game was to make it very approachable, that you could step right up and things make sense. We've actually been doing some play testing with a pinball family with some kids under the age of 10. Pinball family. A pinball family. So it's a family, lots of pinball machines. Kids love pinball, and we've been having them do some testing for the kids. And, you know, we got a report back that they really understood the rules quickly, figured out what to be doing, and they're loving the game. They also have been spending weeks preparing to which cars to put into the game because these cars can be swapped out for whatever Hot Wheels cars you want. So that was a big issue for them trying to figure out which cars to map. So this game has a little bit more of a multiball orientation to it. And we also wanted to make sure that the wizard mode is attainable. So you can get there with practice and skill development, but we really wanted to try to give it that kind of a feel to the game to make it very approachable. We still have a lot going on with WISE, lots of different objectives, to keep it interesting at home, and that's lots of different things you can do. You can say, hey, I'm going to go for the battles, try and fight the four creatures, get to Draven and defeat him. You can say, I'm going to try and get through all the red lines, and eventually we'll get to red line. Oh, yeah, oh, yeah. We will get there. We're working through the tracks, so there's lots of different ways you can approach the game, so it has that variety. Most important feature is the tachometer. When we started working on the game, Joe Schober said, I've always wanted to do a game where there's a device that ties into all scoring. And this game really lent itself to that with the tachometer. So all of the major shots, everything in the game is tied to the tach. The higher the tach, the higher the scoring. You can sort of think about it that when it's on one, that's 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x. You can kind of think of it that way. You know, if you redline it, there's a pretty cool multiball you get, and then the tachometer shifts up a gear. Now you've permanently raised that scoring, so now it's 2, 4, 6, 8. So Jack's first game the other day when he came into practice, I'm like, well, you know, your tachometer's on 1 the whole time. You're not going to score a lot. Three balls is like $45 million until you described what I needed to do with the tachometer. So the scoring is what you're after. Then you want to get your tach up. If you just want to get through modes and get through the battles, then don't have to worry about the tach. But the thing with the TAP, we have these interesting stepped stand-ups that Joe Balcer did. He brought it in one day, a plan. He goes, what do you think about this? And I'm thinking, I don't think I've ever seen that before. I'm sure somebody out there will tell you. Yeah, the back-stepped. They're not lined up in either way. They're in a stepped format. And what that does is it creates some really interesting ball action. So it's very much a risk-reward. Do I go for the RPM targets to advance the TAP? Will you do that? the ball's going to get a little wild versus going for the orbits. I think we should play some more. Yeah, why don't you play a game real quick. All right. Play some more. It's coming. We've got to drink a little bit. Also being very careful to wipe things down. So if my wife is watching, Steve, we're wiping it off. Yeah, we're going to let Josh blow this up real quick. I will be taking over the spectator spot here in the spectator's window. Hello, it's me. All right. Hopefully I can do something here. I spent the last two days testing games in the factory. And I put up some really good games. Okay. So hopefully I didn't just lose all of my skills on all those. Hey, I just took four hours setting this gear up, and all of a sudden the Internet decided to poop on me. So, you know, we did it. Here we go. All right. So this is a clip we took from Hot Wheel City. And in Hot Wheel City, the main characters are the news ladies, our evil scientist, Raiden, the sheriff and our two heroes, the brothers who helped us. I'll tell you who's responsible. Chase and Elliot. Why? Elliot being the name of the original Hot Wheels. Well, that's just a part of the gun known for. Yeah, I can't remember if it was a part of the case for a, maybe, I mean, a chat member, Michael or Joe. Joe's in the chat. Joe is my partner in crime on Oktoberfest and on Hot Wheels. get input from others and great to have him on the chat because he's been able to answer any questions people have on rules um and it's been great working with joe and i wish he was here to shoot this with us today but he lives on the other side of the country but he and i are used to doing things remote okay here we go um so as uh jack talked about the you know you don't have to necessarily try and go for the tachometer piece but it certainly gets a little more value the The importance of the skill shot though is really trying to get that three, because the skill shot is also going to impact my attack. If I came at home I would have this completely perfect. So something that's cool to point out, if you look at that red arrow, you see how it was able to pulse and strobe like that? It's because he has three LEDs in there instead of one. You can see it right now on the red loop. It's like fire. I have to clear out my glasses. At some point, maybe I'll get a shot. That's not what we call a good start. We lost the camera. Here, I'll punch him. We're going to project a little bit for you. Oh, no. The mics are having trouble a little bit with the muffledness of our faces. The sound coming through the mask makes it challenging. Sounds great. I will try and be louder here. All right, let's make it do a little better this time with the scuffing. There we go. So one of the things you'll notice is the epic range. The left flipper moves the E in between, and the right flipper moves the I in the same. You can see that. And part of that reason is this left orbit's really nice, so we didn't want people to just be able to easily spell epic real quickly. So you've got to shoot those ramps to spell epic. Here, not this one. Everything sounding better in there? All I know is that Joe Shover just made a note. There's a button. And I'm pretty happy that Joe sees it as well right now. I'm not sure it'll be fixed by the time the call is finished. There's the spinning car effect gameplay. It increases with your RPMs and it's a cool visual. So what happens is anytime you hit the RPM target, it's called a spin. Once you get to, I think it's fourth, fourth high twice, it'll maintain and it's close speed. It gets around seven, it'll do a faster speed. So it's a good visual indicator where you don't have to necessarily be noticing that. you'll start to sense the speed on it to know, all right, I've got to go back to the art. Yeah, do it up. Yeah. I'm ready. Yeah, folks, the stop motion animation, I feel, really adds some personality to what's going on here, and it's based off of the YouTube series that you can go check out if you want. All right. When we sat down to do the Hot Wheels Roll What did you guys people do with Hot Wheels? For me building track was always a big part of that Trying to create really cool tracks So that was an area we used after to highlight in the game. How many actual cards are available? Hot Wheels cards? I forget how many they've actually made over the years. There are, in the game, there are 400 Hot Wheels cards in the game. In the animations of the game. So when you see me hit card circles, 400. They'll probably make a change in the code to help you see those a little better. There are literally a ton. Now, by the way, what I'm doing now in this game is not a good idea because my tax is going to be dropping. Not that it's very high right now. But in this game, you don't want to be holding the ball. Oh, you think you're brave. Good point. Oh, Scooby, you're saying that Josh is a little quiet? Yeah. We'll make him yell. All right, I will start to yell. All right, I'm going to try to start the battle here. This is the final stop, yeah. Here it is. That new track is looking good. Yeah, unfortunately, I needed one more track, otherwise I could have started the whole thing off and had it together. I like to do it pretty often on that job. I love it. This is one of those things, first time I saw it, I was like, that's got to get me. And when we first walked through, we came across the Hot Wheels City Shop. We were trying to learn about what they call these creatures in the Amazon. That was not something when I was a kid that we had. So I'm trying to hit one of the stairs right now. now. We're trying to hit spinners to load the car carriers to attack the T-Rex and setting out to swallow. But we came across the footage and so it's going to be great for the creature battle, just the way that they really highlight that. And then the more we watched the episodes, we just kind of loved Draven, he's such a great character. And we looked at some of the footage and said, yeah, we can use this for the car race. There's some great footage in here so you'll probably half the animations in the game or stuff that we pulled from hot wheel city and the other half were created we had a couple different animators working on the project with us um and certainly um you know obviously our best animation we've done to date uh part of that too is we've built a new audio visual engine we drive it and the big benefit there is for the Houdini and Oktoberfest owners who are out there, this game boots in like 10 seconds. And I gave Joe grief early on. I said, you're hurting my productivity with this new system. I used to have two minutes after I go to boot up the game to do something, and now it boots in 10 seconds. It's a really nice benefit of the system as well as our ability to do better animations. So someone in chat wanted a clarification on when the magnet up top is activated. Okay. So the magnet is used quite a bit. Unfortunately, we haven't gotten far enough to show too much of that yet. So it's used at the start of the race. It's used in loop crash multiball, which at some point we were meant to, where it will actually hold the ball and you have to knock the ball off of it. It also acts as an accelerator. So it also acts as an accelerator. If I get the tack high enough, then on that orbit, it will actually accelerate it around. Oh, that's awesome. Oh, yeah. Which is pretty cool. This is really cool. So eventually, hopefully, I'll get the tachometer high enough, because we are really not showing much of the game. We're going to be here all night. That's the answer. Literally, that's how long we're streaming. And the answer is we're never stopping. Certainly not until we get to a few of these multiballs. But we're going to get here pretty soon. We're never stopping. So in 10th place in the race, the dashboards, and we're evaluating potentially a change to those that Ishrinisi is working on right now. Oh, perfect timing. So those kind of give you the countdown. So I need 13 hits so I get the boost scoring. 10 more to get the mystery ward is currently left. Those are stackable. So you have to collect them individually. Carry my epic letters, battle, hero cards. Who cares about those high scores? And off we go. And then the other number there is the loot crash and track. You need five shots for one, one for the other. So let's go for the multiball. And not get the shot. The pressure of green play is real. I mean, listen. I never said I was a good boy. Yeah. It was, uh, there was also, like, for me, the wind was taken out of my sails when the, uh, the stream wouldn't boot there for a minute. But we're back, and I'm ready to open the game up. Are you ready for another fight? All right. Let's see if we can get back. Okay, Internet, do me a solid. Just fan the crap out of some hearts and chat, please. There it is. I need something. Yeah, baby. So that. I love this so much. The shaker motor. You see this? It's timed to the animation, so you're feeling it. Try to destroy the city. Yeah, I think Jim Patla, the first time he played this mode with the shaker motor and stuff, he was like, all right, we have to figure out how to include shaker motor. And then when the COVID stuff happened, I was like, hey, can we turn marketing dollars into shaker money? Okay, why not? All right, so this multiball, if I can make the scoop shot, I can turn it into a three-ball multiball, which would be nice to do. And it also will restart the ball space, so it's sort of an extra perk of it. People are saying it has robot chicken vibes. I get the stop-motion feel of that for sure, but it's very, yeah, I love the personality that that brings. okay so for this multiple I needed to make one of the jackpots now the the buck was lit to for the super and it's holding and if I can make the kickback I can get the mega jackpot. I thought you were just about to call that. I was like come on. I'm not Roger's son. and if you don't do it within a certain time it kicks it out and I got toast Meanwhile I still have my battle going and that was actually the victory on the battle. I wasn't paying attention to making the shots but I defeated the Triceratops. Now you'll notice up on the screen there's a fuel bonus of three million points. That's based on how much time I had left on the clock and if my attack had been anywhere high if I was actually focused on that, that fuel bonus could have really been worth a lot of points. I think that needs to be adjusted I mean, family friendly but I was just told that this light show is orgasmic from someone very important so there you go Scott Dineshi is our we're trying to live up to Scott the bar that Scott has set he slayed light show he is the king of light shows and we're trying to give him a run for his money. We put 140 LEDs in there to at least use that to help handicap us a little bit. Coming for you, Scott. You know what, I've known Scott a long time and he's pretty impressive with what he's done with that, with the music, the synchronization, you know, really great stuff. So hopefully we're making headway and catching up to him. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Again, Internet, thank you so much for being here. Sorry for the little hiccups at the beginning, and thank you to everyone showing their support tonight. I do appreciate it. We're at American Pinball with Josh Kugler, the software engineer on this game, and when he's done, I'm going to step up and try to blow this thing apart. Alright, that was not good. The game was better. I got you a couple of modes. I got you a multiball. You haven't gotten the loot pressure. You got a lot of work. Let me wipe it down. Where did those wipies go? of the return to the flipper from the scoop. Yeah, it's very neat. Instead of kicking it out and trusting that that's going to go where it needs to go, going backwards and feeding it down, so freaking smart. All right. Pride, thank you so much. Okay, here we go, Internet. I believe that was actually a Joe Schober suggestion to Balser. Send it backwards instead of... He was actually visiting us and we were shooting it and we were talking about, you know, if we could do that. and brought balls for incident. We could kick it out the side and kind of feed it a little nicer to the flipper. And the next day he came back with a drawing, and there you go. You can move that how you want to. Just make sure you're a little closer. Am I doing better here if I get super close? Yes, no. There you go. Okay, Internet, let me take a little drink of tequila, and then we're going to get to it. Extra ball how you get it. I think there's one where you have to collect a certain number of cars. I forget where else. Joe? Who is the Australian distributor? Here we go, Internet. Time to blow this buddy apart. Game looks fast? Should be. Also, I don't know if this is something that you promote, but I heard you can put your own Hot Wheels cars in here. Yes, you can. In fact, the game will come with some... You use, like, this industrial strength loop lock and stuff. and the game will come with five extra pieces where you can swap out any of the cars which ones you want almost every car will fit thankfully the battle get some RPMs here I want that red line real quick now when I first played this the glass is off so I'm not gonna lie I might have Heated a little bit with some of those red lines. Okay, so there we go. Stay alive. I love you. Pit stop. That's good. More RPM. You need that beat. You can see a little bit what I'm talking about with the risk-reward. Each time Jack makes that shot, it's a little bit, where is it going to go? Oh, he lost the car. Whoa! That scared the crap out of me. That's amazing. It started driving. I was like, what did it do? Obviously, that car was not properly for flying. That's awesome. All good. That's funny. We're just going to remove it for now. Perfectly timed. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. That's a problem. when the machine didn't have the glass off. People found it. So that was our blame? Maybe. No, I'm kidding. Okay, here we go. Yep. Get back to wiping. One wipe, two wipe. Oh, the car's mid-game. Yeah, it was giving me bad juju. I needed to move on to a different automobile. Normally the cars don't fly off. That was well planned or not. Here we go. Oh, by the way, this game has a center post, so heck yeah. I have a Wienermobile Hot Wheels I can put in it. Oh my gosh! And the color matches perfectly for that. So we had somebody come in, brought it with them, one of our play testers. She brought some of her Hot Wheels with her to see which ones would look good in the game And that was one she did That amazing We got to have a picture of it Or maybe it was the Carbonator. I forget. Alright, so I think we're actually going to have some giveaways. Is that right, Michael? Oh yeah, we're going to have some giveaways. So I'm going to ask a trivia question. American Pinball people cannot answer. Michael will be watching fast to see if he can come up with the correct first answer The question is How many Hot Wheels cars do they make each week? Zach, you broke my game Internet, I broke it again Red Line Media So this is a 40 second or so multiball It's time, so it's four balls unlimited. Jack needs to hit the major shots across the game. If he can do that, he'll get the Super Jackpot, and it'll relight. And when we come back to regular play, he'll be in second gear. Okay, we just need that left orbit right there. There it was. There's the Super Jackpot. and you're not trying to repeat it which is extremely hard to do to get through it twice loving that center post down to five four three two easy money and he's also going to collect his first hero card easy money Hero cars are kind of some of the most famous Hot Wheels cars. Mods, thank you for being amazing. I love you. All right, here we go. Oh, okay, so that's highlighting, like, famous cars that they've built around. Yes, those are, like, some of them go back, and they're actually representative of different decades. So each of these cars actually made its debut in a different decade. Oh, nice. With Shark Cruiser going the furthest back. I had the Shark Cruiser, for sure. And now it's like the shark bite. They made a fancier version. Yeah, the center posted it up all the time. Unless Michael's already said. It's 10 million. 10 million cars a week. If Michael's ever closed this at this point, I think somebody probably got it. 10 million a week. 10 million a week. Where do they go? They are across the world. And the funny thing is I didn't really notice this. And one of those things you don't notice. But everywhere I go now, I see Hot Wheels. I go to the supermarket and there's bins of them at the checkout line. I was at a craft store with my wife and walking through an aisle, there's Hot Wheels cars. There's an auto parts store at the checkout aisle. Again, Hot Wheels cars. You know, they basically are a buck, a buck twenty-five. So they're everywhere. Your kids, you know, hey, I have Hot Wheels cars. It's a buck twenty-five. Here you go. Do the cars give you any sort of bonuses in the game or anything? The cars lead you towards the wizard mode, which is Legends multiball. ball and then they also carry the bonus points in the end of ball bumps. Easy two minutes. Gentlemen, start your engines. Give me the loot. Oh, someone won? Congratulations. You win a piece of equipment that I destroyed here in the factory. Oh, so what the winner gets is a Hot Wheels t-shirt like the one I am wearing. I think we can see where we are. get it oh parts hello it's me good stuff I'll rock it if I won hell yeah yeah I think that was it was it worth it 5.5 now that Jack is in second gear it takes a little bit more to move the tack up yeah and by the time it's a fourth or fifth gear, it's pretty hard. We'll probably evaluate that. It might be a little too hard right now, so we'll adjust that. But here it is. Jack's already back up here to seven. So starting a battle right now. He's got battle lit. It would be probably a good thing to start with for having a nice high attack value. Or I could keep hitting the tack for another red. Yeah, absolutely. And you'll notice how the GI has now kind of turned yellow. and it'll start to get redder as you get closer to it. We're going to let this animation play out. I love this mode. This was one of Joe's ideas. This mode is basically whack-a-mole with povers. Oh, God. So you're going to have four lit shots. Okay. And you have to get them all within a certain period of time, and if you don't, whatever shot you hit first will come back. Oh. So. Can I bring red line into this? You can, anytime you go to redline, the game will just pause everything else where it was And you'll resume it when you come out of redline Really? That's awesome This has a lock available there I shouldn't have flipped that, I don't know why I did Okay, let's control the ball, buddy So, this is that cannibal I love that that's there Ok, so now we're going to do the inner loop. I missed. I'm awesome at pinball. If we don't get it quickly enough we're going to see them... Oh! They escaped right before we made the shot. They escaped. Josh, you son of a... Get back to that last orbit again. That's what I say. You think you have it and then the next thing you know they escape. Climby little critters. There we go. Now you need to hit either of the two saucers for the finish. It's to collect your fuel bonus. Which right now is pretty decent sized. There it is. There it is. There, you get the victory. You can see that fuel bonus is $11 million. Easy money. 88. So now we're getting some scores. Look at these animations in it. This is awesome. I have to say, the production values on the Hot Wheels City stuff is great. We had access to all the sound tracks and stuff. And the detail they put into the sound effects and stuff was really impressive. Oh, man, and that brought me right into track builder, too. So let's go. Right, that's right. Always nice when that happens. So we want to hit all the blue shots. You've got three of the epic features going. It was something we were actually talking about earlier today that makes that a little easier to spot. You've got three of those going, which is great with a multiball because you can probably really build up that jackpot. I should have trusted that to back. All right, so you've got your super jackpot lit at the track builder. Got it. And once you get that, then you're going to go for the... Oh, game use. I don't know. Well, that was fun. Pinball with a mask on and then it's a blast. All right, so right now you need one more ramp, and then you can collect your epic jackpot if you choose to. One more ramp, yeah. Now the jackpot will just keep growing in the meantime. Look at how big the track's going. There are five different tracks in the game. The last couple starts to become pretty elaborate. The downside is it needs a lot of shots to complete it. Okay. I do like that you have an exit there if you didn't have enough meat. Instead of it coming all the way back. And, you know, being in the pops is never a bad thing because it helps build you towards turbo boost. Heck yeah. Which you actually have lit right now. If I want to say that until you start a motor or a multiball. Oh, yeah. Okay. So we have loop crash multiball. More multiballs. So what you're going to want to do here is you're going to need to get it in the pops, which is going to score little jackpots. Okay. Once you've scored enough of those, it's going to light the left orbit shot. You want to shoot that. It's going to lock a ball on that magnet, and then you've got to knock it off. You have a limited time to do that. If not, you have to re-lock again. Oh, wow. Okay. And so left orbit. First, you've got to get in the pops a little bit. Yep. And the magnet will help you with that. If you shoot that left orbit, it'll drop it in there. Okay, so now you've got the left orbit lit. I'm sure you said hold that two on your left lip and hold them. Come on, baby. Come on. Hold on your left. There you go. Get two on your left. I'm going to show you something cool. Okay, you know what? Screw it. I went for a pop shot. I went for another pop shot. Josh, I'm a terrible pinball player. All right. All right. You're doing it. Hold it. There you go. Can I slap your game? Yes, you can slap my game. All right. There you go. Okay, I didn't want that ball in my hand. All right. So, you can backhand the one. There you go. Now, get the other one. You've got a few seconds to now collect your super jackpot. Oh, good. Oh, I see. And does it have to go from the left? Yep. Because you can't get to it from there. All right, so time's up and now it's still lit. I see. So now you can re-lock it again. There you go. And now shoot left again. Right, there you go. Oh! You had it. There it was. Come on, baby. Nope, that ain't it. Can we shake it off? Can we shake it off? Are we cheating the code? You won't get it. You cannot cheat the code in that way. Magnet's too strong. All right, now it's still lit. So does it stay lit in perpetuity for me? Well, until you collect it. So after ten seconds, it'll drop the ball, and you need to start the sequence again, but it stays lit. Once you collect it, then you'll need to hit a bunch of pops to reactivate it. Oh, man, I'm smacking that in a loop, though. And I got an add-a-ball. Okay. Oh, perfect. So all of the multi-balls in the game have an add-a-ball. The four card targets will start red. Okay. You can get them to yellow and then green. You'll get an animal. And you can do it multiple times, and it applies to every multiball in the game. All right. So you got it again. There it is. Finally. All right. Joe, you see this? This is what we've got to take care of with holding the flipper. Joe. By the way, one of my favorite things to do is to get both balls on the left flipper in this mode and then backhand bolts from the left. Oh, because I can still keep putting it in the pops. Right, so once you get in the pops a few more times it'll relight the jackpot and you can do it again. I see. You got another battle? That was pretty good. Alright, we're starting to get some play going here. This is good. Okay, let's go for the right. That is such a clean shot. You can hear that shaker motor, right? Oh my gosh. Internet, thanks for being here. Love you. Hope you're enjoying the gameplay. We did have another camera set up for a more player's eye view, but we got rid of that just in the heat of the moment while the Internet was being dumped. Game looks great? Heck yeah. It's Donkey Kong. I love the cop. He looks... The sheriff, yes. A rough sheriff who is semi-incompetent, but occasionally he rises to the day. I went back to actually watch some of this to be a little into what was going on. The show's huge. Oh, sure. The show's very good. The third season I really like. And I'm actually very interested to see the fourth season. I don't believe they've started production yet. I'm pretty excited to see what's there. And, you know, you never know. Yeah. So this purple car here. And then that. Oh, that would be great. You know, the people at Mattel who have been just wonderful to work with, Ari and Ross are contacts there. It is amazing how responsive they can be in getting us things. We really wanted the cars. Joe Schober was like, we need like 300 cars in the game. And I kept working with Ari, and they'd find his stuff. And it's like, no, this isn't really what we're looking for. And she kept digging until she found us this treasure trove of really cool cars that we could incorporate in the game. It was not fun editing them, but it was great to get those into the game. And they've been great to work with in finding us stuff and moving things quickly through. This was my first licensed game, and so I was a little clueless going into what I had to do along the way to get approvals for things. But they've been really great to work with. And, you know, the thing about Mattel is these are people who play with toys for a living. So they're like us. so they were just incredibly excited to have a pinball machine around Hot Wheels they thought this was like the coolest thing for the people who played with card all day it is the coolest thing so you know it's like from a theme standpoint these are the people you want to be working with so it was great that was a tilt warning I'm guessing no that is actually your low fuel warning it's possible we're going to change that because people think it's a tilt warning I thought I was tilting that is a current debate I think Yancey Blaylock was the first to think he was tilting and we got that report from somebody else. I'm hitting it too hard now. So we're evaluating that potential. So 480, not bad, not bad. But I got another ball. And I believe our victory, is it called victory lap? Yeah, victory lap multiball. So I'll tell you what, before you get there, let me explain it so if you get there, people know what's going to happen. So hopefully you'll be there for a long period of time. But you're set up perfectly to get it. So for victory lap multiball, the four main shots that you used in the race are now going to be lit. The first time you hit one of those shots, it's going to give you basically a 2x jackpot. And then a 3x and a 4x and a 5x, or maybe it's 3, 4, 5, 6. Joe, correct me where I'm wrong, because I'm sure I'm getting this wrong, because the tequila's kicking in. But the super jackpot, which is ultimately going to be the kickback, that has its own multiplier, which is based on the shots across the four shots. So if I've made one of each of the four shots, my super jackpot is going to collect a 2x if I've made 2 shots across the floor that's going to be 3x. You mean like clear all 4 of them right so if I do the first shot across all 4 it increases the super jackpot so you have the chance to focus on one shot for increasing jackpots but you want to try and get equal across the floor before you collect the super jackpot. Got it. And clearly if you can make the 4 shots I think it's 4 on each across the board before you collect the super, it can be huge. But again, most important, and it's why your skill shot's really important right now, is the tachometer is what's determining the scoring for all of that. So you want to hit your skill shot here to get your tach to three. Then obviously go for the super skill and start the race. Not to put any pressure on you, Jack, but everybody's waiting all night to get to see this multiball. And let's see how you do. This is the last ball. Can we do it? All right, let me make sure we're good here for the skill shot. Oh, it just barely missed the three. Get out of here. Now, you can only stack two multiballs in the game that are stackable. It's Victory Lap and Loop Crash. They both start on that left orbit shot. So if you start them together, that's where those icons can help you. By the way, seven minutes, 29 seconds, not a terrible race time. I mean, it is compared to what Andy freaking Bagwell did. Two minutes? Right. We don't talk about it. Now, it is harder to move the tack in multiball, but you can move it. So you'll see there. Will it start redlining? It will not start redlining in a multiball. And there is an anabole. But what will happen is immediately thereafter you will get it. Okay, great. But, yes, all multiballs have an anabole. I just drained that entire multiball. Oh, no, we're good, we're good, we're good. All right, good. Woo-hoo. Okay, so for those watching at home, you can see the lights start to go out as the shots are made. And then they'll relight after the super. And now that Jack's got his pack up to a decent spot, he's going to start to rack up some points here. Excellent. And he just collected an extra ball. Nice. So we've got that going for you. I'll take it. I think I got two balls behind the drop target, so it's having trouble kicking it up right now. It'll work. They figured it's all fine. We'll do another shot next year. Actually, Josh, check this out. I think we found a new place where it's like right behind the thing next to it. Oh, I haven't seen that before. I bet you we'll see if we can just smack it on the side. Here we go. There we go. Look at that. That's not a ball trap if you can smack it on the side. Yep. It ain't a trap if you can smack it, ladies and gentlemen. Trust me. If I find a ball trap, I bring in ball selling. Here's a ball trap. First thing he does. I know if it could be smack with a little hit, don't even think about bringing him into the office. I learned that really early on. But we got a ball. We got an extra ball. And you picked up the hero car because you did all three multi balls. So we got the shark. We got shark cruiser. You have, I can't remember which one is which. So let's see what your car count is. 18 cars. You're still pretty far away from car chaos. 400? 100? Car Chaos with 40 cars right now. Oh, 40, okay. 40. So we have three of the hero cars. You would need that for one, and Epic is probably the other. All right, let's do this. Here we go. We're going for one. Easiest. Easiest. Center points. Oh, center post. Never trouble. I love center post, Internet. Okay, so we're back to square one of the race. terrible with center post. I started working with Ballster since all three of our games have it, and that's 95%. 99% of my pinball is on our three games. I've gotten really good at using the post. Using the center post? Yeah. So I'm trying to see where this build track backhand is. Ooh, I almost found it. Hold on, Internet. Oh, it's definitely there. Yep. It's a little later. Ooh. A little too late. Okay, let's try this one more time. It's right here. Gotcha. RPM, sir! Ooh! Like I said, the The backhand of the left orbit is just, I love to do that for loop crash. I can get two on the left. The backhand for the left orbit? Yes. Backhanding that left orbit with two balls on your, when you're in loop crash. Oh, yeah. You get two balls on that flipper, just a little flip the first one goes, let the other one roll up and back it. Little baby flip. It's really gratifying to get basically back-to-back for the super jacks. I think $600 million. I'll take it. Did he get another extra ball or not? I think that was the six even here. You can hardly never backhand orbits. Player one. Way to go! Sure, dad. There you go, Internet. That's for all your dads out there. Father's Day is next weekend. Make sure you do something. All right, we're going to play another here. Looking forward to playing this at Expo. If it happens, true. Look at Andy squeezing out 100 million more points than me What a ding dong Does anyone have any questions so far? Are you enjoying the game? Donate to Dad Get ready How many total cars can you collect? 400? Yeah, I think there's 400 There you go, 400 And those lead to some special modes As you collect cars and obviously we're evaluating all this play to see what tweaks we need to make to the game. Very valuable. And we've had some people come in to play test and probably some more people in over the next couple of weeks. It's really helpful when I get to watch people play. And let's say for Joe, because you see things differently when other people are playing versus when you're playing. Plus when you're working and developing the game, you're kind of focusing on one little piece of the game. Right, whereas I'm flapping at anything that looks fun, but you know what you're trying to test. Right. And, you know, the last week or two where we've been in final playtest has kind of been fun because we're not really working on the code. We're bug fixing. So it's been a chance to actually play the game. And the playtesting has been great because I'm just playing the game. And you kind of get to see how all the pieces have come together because it really takes a lot. The lights, the sound, the animations, the music, the rules. You really get to see that. Yeah. You know what? This came together. It was along the way. Sometimes you're not quite sure if this is going to really resonate. Yeah, internet. This is full RGB. How many modes and multiballs are there in this game? So there are five creature battles, and then at the car scoop, there's a couple of modes there, and we're still potentially going to add one or two more. Joe and I each have a couple of ideas that we're going to see if we can implement, if we can get the necessary assets to pull it off. There are, let's see, five multiballs in the game, I want to say. Five? Damn. So there's roof crash, track building, mystery lap, car chaos, one of the mystery modes, is a multiball, and red light. Oh, nice. Also, Internet, here's my favorite thing. If you watch the show, you'll know that this is a necessity for me. I've got to be able to restart my game. I have a crap ball one. I don't want to go any further. We've got to start that thing over. All right, here we go. Oh, you've got to be kidding me. Fine, I didn't want that anyway. Are the spinners tied to anything? Yes. Everything is tied to the tack. Spinner's reward... Oh, the spinner builds the tack, too? Well, it's based on the tack value. So the spinner itself will score, I think it's one-tenth whatever the tack value is. So getting the tack value up high and ripping the spinners is good. There's also some other scoring around the spinner, and I'm going to rely on Joe. to explain that. Come on, Joe. You got it, baby. He just actually tweaked the rules around the spinner about a week ago. Oh, nice. He was tweaking the jackpot around it. The multiplier around it. Whatever it was. Yeah, Spivo, the lights on this thing are nuts. Oh, I forgot about ledger motion. Well, thank you. That's because I rarely get to it. yeah me too and at this point I'm surprised the question hasn't come up yet about how far the code is in the media oh that's a great question yeah no there's no inverted flipper mode at least not yet I asked Joe the other day he did a podcast Joe the podcast was it I forget some of his podcasts it was Michael Boone can you give a link to the podcast so I said you know because after your recorder asked it to come up where the code is and Joe said it was at 95% that's not aversion I had it at 94.63 you know he likes to round up but we're pretty happy with where the code's at it's as complete as certainly more complete than any of our games to date going out the door a few things we want to get in there might even be higher than 95 all of the key functionalities in the game that is the largest link I've ever seen in my life Okay, that's the last restart of the night, Internet. I don't want to turn this into a regular... Jack does not have a special flipper code. He has not made the necessary financial arrangements for that to occur. Internet, donate $100. Here we go. Two ball player is fine. Thank you. Thank you for your help. Nailed it. So, unfortunately, this change won't impact October Fester. if we do another October run then we will probably upgrade it to the new AV system or if Joe gets really really bored for a month that will happen we've talked about it it's just not something we can justify the effort to for that primary reason internet center post work sorry no dead flip secrets in the game there you go Joe listen I'll send you a sexy photo you can program into this it'll be great alright after this we'll play a dollar game oh yes please wait is that allowed absolutely we'll play dollar games wait we'll play a dollar game we'll play a dollar game you'll play and then I'll keep track of the score internet I just want to point something out this has been maybe one of the more fun reveals we've done because we're drinking not much not much no but I do appreciate taking the edge off a little bit so that I'm not just like over here sweating small stuff. The big boss was here earlier, Mukesh Vistani, our owner. He came by to see how we were doing. He sized me up and punched me in the gut and then we hugged it out. He knew I was going to have at least a shot or two of tequila. I said that's sort of the requirement. It is Saturday night for the long week. We'll do a little battle on this. Let me just play old ball three here. well let's see you crush wall three just like Casey Jones it got got nothing well no that's not happening it's fight time show tilt animation people love uh I don't know check if there's a tilt bob or not there's no tilt bob internet so I'd have to completely punch the game I don't think our tilt animation is anything quite special yet I know Bill put something in recently. It was, I think, maybe we'll use this, but I think we're starting to come up with something a little better. Whew. Okay. Drinking. Okay. See, that would have been a great score for us to go play dollar games on. $10 million. Yikes. That should be what your prize is. All right. Let's see what we got. Put your money where your mouth is. I do not have a sack. Sorry. I didn't bring that. You don't. I have some at home probably. I have my staff rack, but I don't think I have it. I know Scott and Doug and Jay are sitting here. I can't believe these guys are putting dollars down. Filthy, disgusting American dollar bill. We're going to hear from those guys about it. Are you ready? This is out of your way here. Oh, we're not playing Tommy Dollars? Okay. You can play wherever you want. Tommy Dollars is a nightmare. All right. One, two. Welcome, driver two. We got hand sanitizer spritz? Oh, fine, two play. Okay. You ready? Yep, absolutely. Wipe it down. Good luck. Just wipe it down. Wipe it down. That was way too hard. I'm amazing at pinball. I love the skill shot myth. It, like, screams at you. You messed it up. But, you know, part of the reason I want you to do that is the skill shot's really important in the game. So right away you start to realize, oh, wait, there's a skill shot and I missed it. Oh, yeah. Then you start looking for it. And after a while, and again, then once you know the skill shot, if you're seeing that it's because you were pushing your luck a little bit, and, you know, hey, a little reminder is a good thing. Oh, okay. Internet, I can't lose. All right. All right. Layer two. What is that? Nope, that's me. Internet, I'm being nice, okay? Listen. I can't come in, school in the programmer. You can, absolutely. Oh, okay, cool. If I got permission. I've never claimed to be better than a C player, maybe a B player on a good day. ETA from ordered to shipped. Games are coming off the line now. Michael's online. He might know how big the back order list is right now. But depending on your distributor, some of them buy in anticipation. So it could be anywhere depending on your distributor A week or two to a month would be my guess Based on what I've seen as far as the backlog on orders But again depending on your distributor Which you can find on our website Some of them already have orders in anticipation I don't know how many of them they've allocated Some of them we know because we've gotten some very specific Needs magic lamp, has to have the knocker Some of those first orders are very specific and obviously those are, they know who those are. Oh, yeah. I got to take a secret tour of the back area. Holy crap. Where they're putting everything together. This, how long have you been in this space? We really just got in here a few weeks ago. Yeah, it is clean and it is awesome. I think Yancey's comment was, it's way too clean to be a pinball. I mean, it's incredibly clean. Secret tour of the back area sounds shady. It was shady. The boss was in here at that point. Yep. Pilfered a few parts in my cargo shorts. We're ready to go. They don't even let me in the parts cage. In fact, Joe, earlier today he told me he needed a part. He broke a flipper but he just came to grab one for me at the office I said I see if the part cage is open If not I going to have to to do paperwork Boo Which I gonna have to do paperwork cause the parts cage was not open Oh Okay, well I mean... Get my wife, doodly-doo. Drunk wheels. Are you ready for some hot wheels? Alright. We're gonna, we're gonna catch up just on the skill shot here, Internet. Check this out. Just kidding again. We did catch up with this. Pulling a Johnny Cash and building one piece at a time. Flashing orange shots. I can do this. Every once in a while, I made fun of them at some point about... Every once in a while, that'll happen. I'll get through a whole match and somehow never hit the left organ. How is that possible? How is that possible? The left organ is like a driving shot. He's the street. Got it. That's it. Eat your rest. No. Okay. Get it out of here. RPM. Yeah, we'll just hit that thing all day. Oh, you're coming back. Man, that is a fun job. One of the things we just recently added in, Matt Kern, our sound engineer, did us a whole bunch of spinner sounds that we tried out. You've got to have good spinner sounds, man. We went through a lot, so we found these, which I'm pretty happy with. But we actually have a different sound left than right. And the left comes out of the left speaker, and the right comes out of the right speaker. Whoa, really? Which also meant when I was on the line, I found a couple of times that the speakers were backwards on the games. Because the amp is actually labeled wrong. So for those of you who now know that, make sure you get right, because left and right is pretty important. I want to get Matt. I still want to get this result left and right as well. Internet, thank you again for being here tonight. Thank you for putting up with the little false starts that we had kicking this off. But, man, is this game a blast. Jack, can you stop sandbagging now? I'm waiting for ball three, bro. People didn't realize my strategy to give you tequilas to have a fight with. Oh, smart. I'm going to get Jack drunk. Nobody ever says it's a pinball. I'm going to make him look like a pinball. Smart, baby. Thunderpuff needs no death face. There goes Jack's trap. True. He did that on purpose. I saw that. Welcome to my life, dude. I got to get to go set in here. Third ball. It's all mine, baby. Player one. All right. This is great internet. Oh, you can move the epic letters? What does that mean? So you can move the left flipper will move the E and the P. The right flipper moves the I and the C. Oh, I'm an idiot. I just, yeah, I was looking up there. Got it. Yo, Kaneda, thanks for the bitties, dude. Hope you're doing well. Hope you're enjoying your new pinball machine. Hey, he's a real podcaster now, internet. He has a pinball machine. Love you, dude. I love that people give you crap for that. One. Well, you really know somebody's true dedication to pinball by how many machines they clam into, even the smallest. Exactly. My buddy Rob, the first time I went to his apartment, he was on a loft. It was a huge collection. And his kitchen was just filled with machines. He had a couple in his bedroom. And his entire house was filled. He eventually had to get to a bigger place. You've been to Banger J's place, right? I have not been to his new loft. Oh, no, I haven't been there. Yeah, his house is old place. I'm waiting for an invite to the new place. I don't even know if it's ready yet, and if it is, then I'm embarrassed that I haven't been invited. He has pinball machines. His collection is incredible. And the Pinball Olympics is just a blast of an event. Yes, I was thrilled. I enjoy that every time he has it, the creativity. And to me, it's great stuff. and one of his ideas that he had in the game one time, I was looking at doing a custom game and I was like, hey, can I steal that from you? And he was, absolutely. He does some crazy stuff. His Slayer game where the flippers are pop bumpers. Flippers are pop bumpers. Oh my God, it's so good. My favorite was the Periscope. Yeah, the Periscope was pretty good too. Where you couldn't see the playfield while you were looking through a Periscope that's looking down and then one from like behind the, basically the flippers looking up the playfield. Out of this world. It was just crazy. Okay. So that's, Yeah, later on you'll see how you can make that left orbit from there. Oh, to back? Yeah, so you can do that back. All right, so now you need to hit one or two of the jackpots to relight the super. Okay, so, okay. Basically the four main shots. Oh, my God, dude. See? The beat you get off of that is unreal. When you do that during a loop crash, you get two on there, you do the first one, and then the second one's a little trickier because obviously you've got to get it down on the flipper. But, like, when you do it, it's just really gratifying. Yeah, that's great. So yes, you can backhand the orbit off the thing. That's got some moves to it. I can say you can backhand every shot in the game. Oh! Thank you, center post. I double clicked. I'm a ding dong. Yeah, because this is really unimpressive scores. Yeah, well. The money's on the line. No, no, you got a big lead now. Because I haven't done any of that. I get it. You've also got your attack up to eight. Yep, trying to. Oh, well, I've had it up to eight. All right. Dimple tech? I look cute. I got my dimples right here. Same here. Same here. Same here. What inspired the middle post other than... Joe just likes them. Yeah. I prefer them too. They do stop me from dust vaping. You look like a freaking god if you trust that thing on purpose. When you play with it a lot, you get good out of it. And then, of course, now when I play games that don't have it, I let it go, and I'm like, oh, there's no pumps. Who stole the pumps? All right, so let's see. I've got a battle lit. By the way, the spinner will rotate the battle. So if there's a particular battle you want, you can hit the spinner a couple of times. I think Julie Schober suggested that when you hit the letters, it should also advance. I'm not sure we put that in yet, but I thought that was a good suggestion. so you can kind of, you know, have some ability to pick your battle ahead of time if you have a favorite or if you know you're stacking with the multiball and there's a particular combination you like. So right now I would get Triceratops, but I'll take any of them. I just want to start over. Nice. Internet, just to double check with you, how's everything looking, sounding? Are we good? I just blew my skill shot completely. That was not good. hand sanitizer so bad for pinball cabinets hope it has armor um sure okay well here's the thing i'm not taking your money because that would be illegal to do on stream So you're not taking my money? No, I will not be taking it. But if it falls on the floor, I might pick it up for you. Okay. We're just going to get this out of the way. I guess we'll leave it for whoever comes get it later. Oh, there it is. I didn't know. Okay, I'm glad I didn't get in trouble. I just wanted to roll with it, see how it goes. Wow, there's money on the floor. I wonder. I certainly need a rematch. Kaneda, thanks for the base. All right, yeah, we can do it. Hey, you dropped something! I'll go first. Here we go. Here we go! Possession is my tenth of the lot. Yep, I'm also taking this game home with me. Let's go. Alright, um... Stop, stop, stop, stop! You butt! Aw, just too hard. Pop, pop, pop. Fizz, fizz, fizz. Y'all should play Tommy Dollars. Man, Tommy Dollars is tough. I got a cool surprise coming for all you Tommy Dollars fans pretty soon. Say goodbye. Goodbye. Bad shot, but goodbye. So hitting the cars right now, the little skinny stand-ups, what are those doing for you? So each time you get when you collect a car, every 10, life, the lowest group for mystery. Oh, just hitting one of them is collecting one car? Yep. Oh! So it'll take a while to collect, but every time you get a collector case, you complete your case, and you can see we used the case that a lot of us remember from Cades, the one that's shaped like this tire. And then the Cades Awards can be kind of little things. You increase the multiplier, increase your attack, or sometimes it's a mode, like Car Chaos. Once you get to 40 cards, the next time you pick up a mystery award, it'll be the card chaos multiball. Where is the visual representation of how many cards I collected? Ten, it looks like? Right, so that's how many more you need to get to the next mystery award. You have mystery lit right now, I think. Oh, let me just get a casual multiball real quick. No big deal. All right, so again, you want to... Obviously, the power is off on that. I've got to check that later. I see what you need to try and get that left scoop. The left scoop. Sorry. Yeah. I'm sorry, the right scoop. Oh, okay. The right scoop. Well, left scoop too. Left scoop's your multiball, and the right scoop's going to give you the extra ball. Okay. In the multiball. Oh, God, what have I done? Oh, that bounce was amazing and saved my life. Get in there, you son of a... Oh, baby, internet. That center post is doing us a favor. That was what we call slow eyes in the hobby, where I should have flipped, but Tequila said, don't do it, dog. So, Josh, how are we doing? How's the broadcast going? How's the game playing? How are you feeling? I wish I was playing better. Yeah, me too. I mean, I wish I was playing better. But I think it's pretty cool. We've seen victory lap multiball. We've seen loop crash. We've seen track multiball. So we've gotten to the things. There are a lot of games you get to all throw at the same time. I mean, you had three hero cars. Yep. So that was pretty good. I think we got to show that. Is there anything you'd like me to focus on? You know, it's funny because I... What did Joe just say? He said, you're fired. I can't believe you would hang out with Jack. Is there anything I forgot? I want to take a chance with the other teams to say, did I miss anything? I guess maybe I've covered most of what's in the game. So, epic features haven't given that much focus. I kind of view that more as an advanced scoring thing. It's not multiball, it's not modes. They're, to me, incredibly lucrative. I think Joe recently had one that was 500 million points. I recently had one that was a 480 million epic fail. The reason it's an epic fail is if you don't collect the jackpot before you drain, it's gone. Now, we do give you, I think it's 10%. And in exchange for that 10%, we insult you with your epic fail. That's unfortunate. And only if your score is big enough. So when you get an epic fail, it means, yeah, you really messed up. You had a really good ball, but it could have been even better. Now, I remember when I played this game a while back, and I got a mini wizard mode. What did I do to get that? Was it completing all the battle creatures? Like four creatures? Well, if you get through all four, you get to Draven. Okay. Which is kind of the mini wizard mode for that. If you get through all the epic features, there's a play field. So everything is scoring. Oh, geez. Okay. And again, you do that with Turbo and Collected, and you're freaking huge. We haven't really focused much on Turbo. Yeah, Marv, Draven is the main bad guy. He's the scientist with the goggles and the evil. He's the evil scientist who has brought dinosaurs from the past to the present to wreak havoc on Hot Wheel City. He also got a bunch of snakes to drive a car, which is pretty cool. There's a shark in Hot Wheel City. The shark was just too comic, too goofy to include. I know there were some people who were upset. I think the shark is, I think he was on the cabinet. He had it taken off the cabinet. So I'm not putting the shark in the game. Maybe we'll give the shark a cameo. So if you haven't seen Hot Wheels City, go check it out. Check the shark. I'm sure I'll get a bunch of e-mails saying, yeah, we want the shark. We want the shark. You can't tell the Internet you took something out because now they want it. At some point, the shark, I'm sure, will make a cameo. Perfect. Because there are a few people, what do you mean you're not going to have the shark? Internet, I'm being told that similar to the fishtails topper, it's going to be a shark, Billy Bass, that's going to be singing to you while you're playing. No, it's not. But who knows? I'm sure there's a modder right now. Yeah, I was like, that was a perfect idea. Alright, I gotta put up a square here. I had a 270 million epic feature collect that can get huge. Dang. Sharks out. No. Oh, yeah. No! Hey, we're keeping it close. I appreciate it. We'll see you next time. work was at like one two o'clock just something about like the world is asleep so you can uh so is it every time i hit one of these targets i'm getting cars anytime you hit it oh so if you write all four it'll like there's a target up in the pop that'll advance the bonus multiplier awesome yeah i have a feeling we're going to make some tweaks to that uh make it a little more a little more valuable um but early originally yeah you It would have to be on wit and then we felt like you just not gonna collect enough cars and this is hot wheels, baby It's about collecting so many damn cars. Let's just give it to us, you know And some of the car names are really cute. They're really yeah internet. There's no till pop This shaker. Are you seeing it take the flags? Rawr, all right. Come on sheriff. Come on, sir That should be Bill Trax. All right, so you're looking to hit those car targets, and then after you hit all three of them once facing you, it's the ramps. Oh, I see. That's what I'm missing. Got it. All right, so you've got two to hit, so car two and three. That's what we refer to them as. Hit it right here. I nailed it. First try. I'm still getting pinball. Oh, my God. Look out for those cars. Well, of course, if you were trying to hit those shots, you'd be hitting them. So aim for the shot, and then you'll hit the target. What's the name of that monster gorilla? Yeah, the only one that we know that there's a big snake that has the name of Crush. The other characters, to my knowledge, don't have names. His name is Go-rilla. Or Mr. Roa Someone's asking I guess the first 500 are spoken for Question mark No the first 500 are not spoken for The first 500 come with a shaker motor The first 500 come with a shaker motor Heck yeah And if I'm being real This shaker motor feels like there's a car engine Inside of this thing It's like you have a Hemi inside the pinball machine This thing got it, hear me? Would be cool if the player had a different... Huh. Huh. I feel like I'm kicking a period of kickback twice in a row. Yo, HMJ, what's up, buddy? Douglas, this game is a blast, kids Is that a free shaker motor that revs at 800 horsepower? A whoop Five years, damn dog Now, we can't really hear the music here in the room But at some point the music is changing as I am advancing through the race At some point it will completely shift to another kind of a hot or a war upbeat tune. So you probably can hear that at home. I cannot hear that here because we're playing with very little sound. So, Internet, you know how I'm going to beat Josh right here? It's called Red Lion Mania. Yes. Will there be an optional knocker? I believe there is an optional knocker, yeah. I am nowhere near redline maybe I need to get it in two and I pull two nope that was a perfect pull and I hit it look at that look how much that was worth hit these targets while we've got this ball save ball save is gone shake the game shake the game to death oh you missed the M we just need that M for multiball that's not what it stands for but got em boys redline mania get ready get ready go. Okay, we actually have to hit the shots, though. We actually got to hit the shots. Got to hit the shots. Still got to hit the shots. You got to hit the shots. There you The hardest shot, obviously, is the kicker, but you can backhand the crap out of it, which is cool. Oh, come on. Let's get this backhand cleared up here. Stop screwing me, Gabe! Oh, dang. Well, we came back. We're good, we're good, we're good. Took the glass off, no big deal. I already have a hero, I can't do this. Alright, here we go. Nice. Let's get some battles going. Ummm, Papa. I can have a really high scoring game to ever do a battle. I'm not sure if that's a good thing. A battle? Is there another one at this point? Well, let's use the trap multiple. This is the first one. Trap multiple, you're four shots away. Oh, really? So, the start of the game is shoot the buck, drop target, drop target, shoot the buck again, and you're in multiple. So, now that you're really on one, make sure that you're both low enough. It's usually close to the top. I'm going to make sure it's approachable, you can jump on it and have fun. But for a good player like yourself, that, you know, there's enough there to keep you challenged and interested for a long time. Hell yeah. Like I said, it's going to take me a long time to beat Andy's two minutes. That's just insane. Yeah, two minutes is... And I'm looking at you, all you other eight players out there. That's now the score to me. Make it work. Two minutes, baby. Woo! And Andy, if you're out there, I want to know, were you focused on trying to win the race, or you just did that? That had to, there's no way that was an accident. I'd like to know. I wasn't around when he was here. I know Andy was here a couple hours playing, so, you know, it's probably too much time for a guy like him. Oh, God, I'm shooting that way too early. So we'll probably bring some more local players in here in Chicago to come give the game some play, help us, you know, shake out any last issues, any last ideas. By the way, your turbo booster is running right now my friend, so make some shots here. Make your shots. You can really clean up here, especially collecting the fuel bonus if you complete a battle. Collecting the fuel bonus when turbo is active can be extremely worth it. Oh nice, so let's get that. Well, your turbo is running out so that's failed my friend. More important, you've got loot crash multiball, so I am in a world of hurt. Multiball! Come on. Yeah, let's see if you can get the pops a little bit. When that left orbit turns orange like it is now. Oh, come on. I hate that. Okay, come on down. Okay. Got it lit. It's on there. Oh! Twice. We got it twice out of it. What is the time? Oh, we got an animal. It's about 10 seconds. so you got it locked on there again there it is put it up there again 5 million again your attack is not very high it might take a few shots at the RPM target unfortunately you're in green so at least you're already shifted a gear but again when you're in second and third gear it's a little harder to keep it up yeah it's hard to keep it up when uh yes you're right higher gear a little trickier here. Give me a dream. Thanks, game. All right, well. Wow. A paltry 286. Yeah. By the way, I believe, I mentioned we had a family who's got the game, who's testing it out. Yeah. I believe, I'm not sure if he was eight or nine years old, but 1.2 billion. I don't want to hear that. Just to bring it down enough. Thanks, Josh. $296 million is a good score. $200 million is typically what I find when I'm playing reasonably well. Obviously not like I'm playing tonight. Reasonably well, I'm going to get $200,000, $300,000. I love it. It's kind of a typical game that occasionally you get that billion game. But yeah, I was afraid for the $1.2 billion. And I'm like, okay. That's the only way to put me in my place. Ketchup is a vegetable. So just for your knowledge, Internet, when you spell RPM and you build up your tech all the way to 10, and you get red line, and that's a fun multiball. But you could keep doing that. So, like, I could have just completely focused on RPM again and been right into another red line. Yep, absolutely. It gets a little harder each time. I think we'll see some players might go in with that approach. Let me get my tack up. So now, you know, if you get to the yellow, so it's white and green and yellow, if I'm on yellow, now I'm looking at 300,000 minimum on all of my shots. that I get to tack up on quickly to six or nine or 12 can be very lucrative, but a little harder to keep it up. So is it better to be in second gear and trying to have it at five or six, or in year two or three? I don't know. We're all still kind of figuring out kind of the right strategy to play with the game to figure out the scores. I love it. Like I said, I've got to find out 1.2 billion what he did. I'm missing something, and I helped code the game. All right. Thanks, poor man. Sorry. I missed you in chat there. So, by the way, you'll see right now my attack's at three, so I must have had it at five or six. Oh, and it just degraded a little bit. So you lose a little bit of your RPM, but I'm at three. If I can successfully hit the skill shot, I'll be at six. So at least give me a chance to maybe get to the red line and maybe catch it. Rock and roll. Let's see what happens. We got two with no paint chips, so there's nothing. Game looks great. Yeah, it does. Oh, poor man, you have an Oktoberfest, right? Wait, did Molly Hatchett go ham tonight? I missed all that. Dang, dude. Love you, Molly. Check it out, Luke. Oh, fuck. Come on, Luke. Ready. poor man we gotta work out a time for me to come get drunk and hang out on the show oh the tequila breath in my mask is gonna make me minus water oh he gets it son of a gun so it kills your flippers plays this animation jumps right into multiball it's fun every time I see somebody get it the first time they think they broke the game or they tilted or something I love the reaction kind of wait until they realize has happened. First time it happened to Jim Patley. He's like, I'm not sure I like this. And everybody else was like, oh, I love it. It's like, all right, Jim. Welcome. Adam Houdini and Octoberfest looking forward to having Hot Wheels in the UK. Nice. Well, I'll tell you, the nice thing is it's such a different game than the other two. It really is. You know, And it's funny because there was a thread on Pinside where somebody was saying, oh, it'll probably be like cars will be like songs and they'll give you power. I was thinking, you know, no, the last thing we were going to do was repeat what we just said. Yeah, exactly. Why would I just copy-paste that? First of all, you broke the game. I did not quite. It must have been one short, so that was not good. People are rooting for you, by the way. I did not get the super jackpot, so that was unfortunate. No, it's not a crash. When you're done with the multiball, it just stops the flippers. Everything dries, and the concept is you've now completely destroyed your engine. You've redlined it. So I am in the middle of some epic. I need five more shots to qualify epic ramps and four more for epic loops. And you can see right now that jackpot is 4.26 million by having multiple running attacks as a multiplier. So you can get all four lit before you start. That's where you can really, really get the super big points So you can stack those together So right now I do have A battle lit And we have a light issue That Joe's working on right now That my attack's not showing me I've got, still need to build more track here So I can start the modes here I can get a mystery award here I have these scoring lists So I'm going to try and do Try, start the modes Start a battle partway through, pick up the turbo, hopefully finish strong with a fuel bonus and bury you. And bury you. Wow, that took a quick turn, dude. That's the plan. And bury you. See, I've got to talk big. So I've got to have the bluster up front. Let's go. Let's see it. Now, after redline, you do get your skill shot again. So don't break in the lane if you don't, but after redline because, again, it's going to drop the tacks and want to give you a chance to kind of, you know, get it back up. I guess. Here comes the comeback internet. All right, there's the most. Frick. I can work it into super skill shot, which is probably not the right strategy, but at least I got the battle started. Dude, the shakers are so good. Let's see if I can actually do so. Gorilla, I need to hit the car targets, and then it's the two ramps, and then the saucer. Go, gorilla! So that gorilla is giving me Bumble vibes from the Frosty the Snowman movie A few people asked me if that the Houdini monkey growing up Oh, my God. It's a gorilla. This is it, Internet. I need everyone to go queue up Eye of the Tiger right now. We're all on to the battle. There we go. That's the help. Give me a chance here. track multiball round fumbles that was fun so now I got the turbo going a little earlier than I wanted oh my god your point is you just got hit some jackpots is it good there we go oh my god one shot internet this is unfair and that's the end of my multiball this man programmed this game ok that's all I gotta say alright back to the Did you say Scott-Vacula? This is back to the battle. Oh, okay. Back to the battle with my friend the gorilla. All right, so I completed the forest section. Now I have to hit the two ramp shots. Yeah, you got 150 million in two shots there. That was insane. All right, so I don't think it was a... Oh, bonus! Oh! No, you got me. Oh, no! Oh. Oh. Wait. Nope. Not enough. Do you have an extra ball? Player two. Gorilla Battle Champ, though. You're pretty good at this. Boo. 10x Playfield Lamao. Dude, that was gross. I gave you a run for your money. Couldn't quite pull it out. These animations are a great way to go AP. They're freaking dope. I love them. Like I said, stop motion gives it character, right? It makes it more playful than just a game about cars Alright I'll play a solo game real quick if you don't mind You tell me when we're ready to go Okay, let's see you do one more and we'll see how it goes While you're playing, I just want to thank some members of the team who I think are here in the chat, I haven't been paying close attention Diabolical Destruction grips Hot Wheel City in character. Matt Kern, our sound engineer. Matt, if you're there, wave your hand. Not that anybody can see you. And if you're on here, get back to work. We're waiting on some fan fairs that Matt's working on. There's a few things we're still getting in. But we're actually pretty happy with the code. Joe Chober has been active in the chat. Yeah, Joe's been in there. Active in the chat, who I asked. This is my partner in crime. And if his wife, Julie, is paying attention, Julie, thank you for all of your help in testing. Julie is basically the best of our QA department. She constantly watches and plays and takes notes for us. So really appreciate that, Julie. Ishranisi, our lead engineer, I mean our lead animator on this game. We have a couple of different animators, and I appreciate those folks as well. Obviously, Joe Balcer, who gave us this incredible layout to work with. But, you know, the best thing working with Joe is every layout is different, unique, and it really lets us, from a rules standpoint, get to do something different each time for need of. And I'd like to think we do a pretty good job of figuring out how to bring that layout to life. I think we did that on Houdini. I think we did that really well on Oktoberfest. And I think people are going to find this game, it really, the layout and the theme really comes together. And Joe did a great job. Jeff Busch, our artist, who I thought the Houdini art package was pretty astounding. And, you know, this is just the complete opposite of just spectacular. No, tell me. Okay, I'm done shaking the game. All right, here we go. Really, you know, Jeff did a phenomenal job putting this art package together, the side art, the apron art, the inside apron art, and all the rest of it. And, you know, again, great job by Jeff. Hopefully I'm not forgetting anybody from the design team. Michael Grant, our new sales manager. I've been making Michael's life miserable the last few weeks. Yeah, Michael! Michael's great. He's a busy, busy guy right now, and it's been great to have Michael on the team. And Michael's actually been a good play tester for us as well. And I certainly want to thank our CEO, Luchas Vistani, who was here a little bit earlier today. Great dude. for all of his support in his venture, as well as our president, Adabal Basani. So I want to thank all those people. And, you know, those who are out there, great, if I forgot somebody, I apologize. All right, so ball two here. Let's break this baby. And Jack Andrew for inventing pinball. All right, so here's what I want you to do. We're going to play one more game now. Yeah, I would also like to point one thing out, Internet. So the inlanes, you know when they're lit and you can move the lights? these two lights are locked. So it's not four across the board. So with the left flipper, you can flip-flop these two. With the right flipper, you can flip-flop these two. But you don't travel across the playfield. And by the way, for anybody who thinks that's a Stentart thing or a Jim Patlick influence, it's not. In this particular case, I think Joe and I had kind of the reaction at the same time when we saw how nice that left orbit shot is. And we said, you know what? You're going to be able to spell epic instantly because hitting that four times in a row, it just makes that too easy. And that's why we decided to kind of split it up to at least require that you couldn't just go 16 shots in a row, fully load epic and mass. So, you know, obviously we spend a lot of time talking about those types of exploits and things to make sure those things aren't there. Yeah, that's huge. That's huge. Where's the lenticular? It's in the background. Oh, man, when the lights hit that stuff. certain colors and stuff pop off of it. It's insane. We need to do a little bit more with that. For most of the COVID time, the game I had at home did not have the back panel. Oh, so you're just making light shows. So they didn't have the light. So we didn't play around with just a little bit of that to bring that to life. So in certain cases, it does, and it really brings it out. It's actually pretty cool. And it wouldn't surprise me to start to see that become more common. It's just a way to add more light to the back panel. Lenticular, it's so good. And it's such a smart thing, and it's been around forever. Right, exactly. They've been around forever, but it's kind of funny. The games didn't have back panel art, and they did, and now we're getting fancier with it. Lenticular, baby. New track. All right, so this game, I want you to go for it. Let's see if you can get to car cases. Okay, so what do I need to do? You need 40 cars, so you've got to really go for those car cases. So how many do I have currently? I don't know the total right now. You have at least four. Nailed that perfectly. So we don't know the total count until we get to the ball. At the end of the ball, we'll see where your count is at. Okay, so let's... I should have trusted that. I'm trying to take the light out. I've got to fix my car. Four more to complete. Okay, so, and just to clarify, it's literally... I could hit that yellow target 40 times. Yep. Okay, we got this, Internet. We got something to focus on. Here we go. 40 will be tough. It's a lot. That's why I'm wishing you could do it, because we talked the other day. maybe it needs to be a little bit lower. But like if you're, so is it running at all times, like if you're in a multiball and stuff and the balls are doinking around? Currently you can't collect cars during multiball. That's something else we might evaluate. Because we want to collect cars. Roger Sharp, who worked with us in getting the license, and Roger's given us some input on the rules, being a big Hot Wheels guy himself. And car collecting is always very important to Roger. I've heard he likes pinball, too. He wanted to make sure we could collect a lot of cards. I'm not sure we're collecting enough cards yet. Okay. So Roger's going to come play it one day. He's like, I'm not getting enough cards. And then I'm going to tell Roger to practice. That'll go over really well. Roger, just get better at pinball, dude, okay? That's right. Just calm down. Get better at pinball. So there is a car target in where the pop-up numbers are. Correct. So, occasionally, you can pick up a bunch of cars up there. Or not. I may not let you pick up back-to-back. We'll be tweaking those things. That's one of the reasons with all the play testing we've been doing recently is to look at some of the numbers. Just feel out what people are shooting for, how they're getting things. Right. What things are registering, what's happening, and, you know. Just Joe and I playing, collecting data doesn't really tell us much. There we go. There we go. Come on, pop-upper. I need five more to complete the case. All right, so I would focus on progressing through the race and collecting targets at the same time, because the car targets are going to be around the shots you need to make for the race. Sounds good. All right, so I go for 11th place. There you go. Perfect. Love you. Of course, now that I'm telling you to hit the car targets, you see how you're making all the shots? Perfect. Thanks. That's some clever reverse psychology there. You haven't hit one yet. You're making every shot, though. So we go to the ramp. We don't want multiball. Well, you know, we're going to score some points along the way. All right, so you're on your next pace. So you've got at least 10. So at least you're a quarter of the way there. You're on ball one. So we're a quarter of the way there. I'm going to give it at least 10. By the way, you just lit boost through the Mystery Awards. So that's a great bonus. And you're starting a multiball. So after you make a multiball, if you're starting boost, it would probably be a pretty good thing to do. We don't care about school. We always care about school. Yeah, obviously we don't care about school. We do and we don't. Yeah. So I just lit my boots during multiball. Let's hit the RPM. I was a camp counselor for many years. When they were little, they were like, did we win or lose? I said, did you have fun? I said, yeah. So then you won. Yeah, there you go. That's all that matters. Right now, you want that scooper while you got the turbo. Well, the turbo's already gone. Oh, dang. You blew it. Too late. You blew it. You blew it. The turbo is a very short burst. You've got to leverage it when you get it. And again, I cannot collect cars when I'm in this, correct? No, I do not. Correct. Again, that's something we might reevaluate. That's right. We got a stinking add-a-ball or something. Heck yeah. Yeah, you probably hit the add-a-ball. Now, can you progress through the victory stuff during multi-balls? No, during multi-balls you cannot advance towards the other multi-balls. You can't, good. Well, it sure looks like it's going to let you start loop crash right now on the left door. I'm gonna drain that just to be safe. Alright, so you should have now left orbit. It's now lit for loot crash multiball, it looks like. Left orbit? Yep. So I'm gonna go for the... You gotta go for the multiball. You gotta take it. Good to meet you. Crash! Gotta get our tack up, baby. Alright, so here you wanna get in the pops a little bit, and then it's gonna be that left orbit shot. And this game does not have a knocker in it, but in this we do use the knocker a little bit. Oh really? We're not using the knocker quite as much in this game as we did in Oktoberfest, but we'll probably find a few more ways. By the way, we've got Turbo running again. It's nuts, and I just drained literally everything. Oh! Holy! Okay, let's get some, like, red line or some business. Okay, we'll take the battle. Yeah, absolutely. Always take the battle. Brrrr! Brrrr! What is love? And for... Oh, I can't bring Redline because Redline takes everything over. I see Josh Engelton is already here trying to pick Joe's brain. Josh, what's up, Steve? Good job, Josh. I'm pretty confident I'll get an email from Josh this week with some suggestions and Josh, you're more than welcome to send them. I always love to hear from him. He's given me a couple of good ideas that made their way into Houdini. That's awesome. I'm happy to take good ideas from wherever they come from. I love that kid. He won the very first tournament we ever held at my old studio, and the trophy was taller than he was at the time. I watched him tear up Houdini one time, and I'm like, hey, do you have any thoughts? And he gave me one, which was great. I love to hear people's thoughts on our games, suggestions, ideas. You never know when we'll find one that we like, or maybe we'll make it into another game. the Houdini and Octoberfest at the end we have what we call the progress ribbon. It shows how you did against certain aspects of the game. We're looking to add it here. And that was the suggestion from somebody. He said, Joe, it would be really cool at the end of the game if I could kind of see what I accomplished. We haven't put it in here yet. I said to Joe the other day, we need to because at the end I'm like, how many cars did I have? One, two. So again, I'll take good ideas from wherever they come from and say they're mine. And say they're mine. Perfect. There's this cool rule I came up with. Actually, I will always give credit where I steal good ideas from. It's like you're so excited. I'm looking at you, Eric Pritchett. I took an idea for one of the things Eric had done. I think it was in Cactus Canyon that I liked. And took that and put a little bit of a twist on it. And so I appreciate him letting me steal his ideas. And that's why I put up with him sending me messages at 7.30 in the morning. Let's see, how many cars do I have? 20, halfway there. Halfway there, we fall through. Okay, we're going to do this. We're going to get to 40 right now, isn't it? Here comes 40 cars. Nailed it. So we're just going to carefully doink it. Get control. Ah, that big ram. That wasn't a car. this is kind of one of the fun things about this game is you can kind of say hey I'm going to go for cards I do love of course that's when you do well in some other part of the game I love playing games objectively I really don't give a crap about scores I like to see stuff happening in the game and then scores come from that so yeah I love just and that's a factor for people who care about scores the tact becomes important for those who just want to kind of work through the game you heard Well, 24. Not bad. What? I think my on cars right now is 69. Let's see it. Here, we'll finish this off with Josh getting 69 cars. I will go for it. Wipe her down. We're going for cars. Okay. Yeah, that gold one. So we'll get to see. So hopefully I'll get some good cars. I'll collect some good ones along the way. The gold one's like the easiest to hit, but it's also, it puts you in some danger. We do randomize the list of cars, so it's not like you're thinking, I'm never going to get to see the 300th car. So each game, you're going to get to see a different car. Oh, it is randomized. That's great. We do randomize, and the list of cross players, So over the course of the game with two or three players, you'll get to see quite a few of the cars. I'm into it. Let's go. All right. This is it, Internet. Get ready. 74 is the new 24. Listen, Gary Stern just turned 75 years old, and the dude can party harder than a lot of the 20-year-olds I know. I'm Chris, Hot Wheel City, in terror. Who is responsible? I've got to get to my mindset. By the way, Internet, tequila is now going to be something that has to happen in all future reveal streams. When we come back for the American Pinball Golden Girls Pinball Machine reveal, that'll be a treat. Yo, pin whiz. Shut up. I'm hitting everything except for the target. Frickin' Josh is in chat. The other Josh. The other Josh. Can't decide whether to watch this last game or go play for myself. What a wiener. Hold on. I'm still waiting on those locks. Just joking. Jack, are you going to have this at your studio scene? I do not have any plans to have this game. But it wouldn't be bad to have it in the studio to blow it up. Got your engine! Nice holding, girl. Nice, aren't they? Sidekick, what's up, buddy? Ooh, collecting them cars. Car collected. High roller. That's awesome. Yeah, you got, so you have 400 of those in the game. That is nuts. Yeah. And trust me, it was not fun because I was the one who took on the task to slice and dice each one. Slice and dice each one and clean them up and stuff. But after Ari from the channel went through such effort to get them, I was like, I'm going to use every damn one we can. Yeah. We put them all in, you know, we had to go through very carefully because we can't obviously slice this vehicle, so that was part of it, was the initial list had, there were like 2,000 cars, it's like, okay, well here are the ones we can actually use it's like, I'll take all the ones you can get me. 400, geez. That's still just a fraction of the cars. I don't doubt it. I don't doubt it. Yeah, we probably don't have as many of the older cars, meaning the 80s cars that I would like, but I love this game hell yeah so we was that 8? 9? my man I'm going to try one more did they have to be original Hot Wheels cars versus real cars? yes you could only use because anything that's a real car we got to have license from Ford or Chevy or whatever so what's interesting is some of their cars are clearly modeled after some of those that were licensed. You know, they've got like a little, looks like a VW bus. Ah, yeah. But then they also have a lot of those as well. So those are the things that we obviously had to be very careful about to make sure we were sticking within what our license allows us to do. Nice. Yeah, Internet, by the way, if you're coming in late or you missed any of this, the second we kill the stream, I will be uploading this to YouTube. It might take a minute to get there. and then you can go watch it in perpetuity, listen to us explain everything that has happened tonight, and then get even more excited and go buy five of these for your basement. Quite a few people have come to the plate that have called and said, you know, I want to get one. Heck yeah. And I'm like, all right, here's the website with our distributors. So to me, that was a great chance to get one. So how many balls are installed in this? Six? Six. Cool. So as I mentioned, the multiball stack you can do is victory lap with refresh. Okay. Which will use five. I'm trying to remember, does legend multiball use all of them, Joe? I don't recall. It's without a mode, I guess you're very wrong. If you have stability, what's up? Chicago Bells represent. You made it hard to not want to get one. This is a great stream showing the game off well. That's what I like to hear. Once you got the stream working, that was good. That was a nightmare. And honestly, I was a little upset that we weren't going to be able to get this out. The speed on that sucks, Brian. All right, here we go. Last ball. Let's see if we can do something. Joe Schober says you can add a ball as much as you want. And yeah, Legend Multiball is sixth. Is this on? My agreement with Joe is he could not be drinking during this. That was our agreement. Yeah, it's hard being in chat with people seeing your baby for the first time. Look, it would be hard for me to not speak out against you. Yeah, having Joe lets me, you know, he can answer all the questions. We don't have to keep up with it, so that's probably pretty good. I know Michael's in there, too. Hopefully, we'll have him at the time. And relax. Now that we've got the Internet working, Michael, you can relax. Take some deep breaths. What's up Sal, good to see you buddy Breathe One of the things I like too is that The ball can come out of the The top All three ways You can come out both sides or straight down. Yeah. Yeah. Is that starting car always the blue car? Is that starting car always the blue car? I'm not sure I understand. If it's part of the anime... I don't know what you're talking about. Sorry. To clarify the question, Can you rephrase that question in the form of a donation? Alright. Unfortunately, not a good game to play. I mean, 11 cars ain't bad. No. Thanks. Well, let me switch over to the phone. Come on over here real quick. Internet, thank you all for being here tonight. A big shout out to Josh for allowing us to play his game for all of you. If you're ever in Chicago and maybe you want to help be one of the play testers, maybe give him a holler. Michael Grant. Michael at AmericanPinball.com. Yep. And we're always happy to give tours, especially once we get the factory fully up and running. The games are, as Jack got to see today, the games are coming down the line. Actually, we're out of our old building now. The first set of games are there in old box cups. everybody will be here this week and we'll start getting more games out, which I'm pretty excited about. Of course, I'll probably spend next week testing games as well, which I'm really happy to do, to go test the games, to go over them, work with the people on the line for the things I'm looking for in the game. Because of the LEDs, making sure every LED is in exactly the right place. Yeah, I don't doubt it. It's pretty important to make sure these light shows, we spend a lot of time on that, all that looks the way we want it to look. So those are the little things, and our line's been really great. I was really impressed with the quality of the games, how few things I found. So we'll make a few tweaks here, and we'll be cranking these games out, and I'm really excited for people to get to start playing it. So, Joe, I just want to point something out to you. I'm a fan of all the American pinball games. This is my favorite so far. Absolutely. Something about how this shoots and the speed and the programming, you son of a gun, It's such a fun freaking game. Once we knew we were going to do Hot Wheels, it's like, Joe, it's like, okay, it has to be fast. It has to flow. Yes. I love it. I love it. And that's what it does. Hell yeah. Jack, I really appreciate you coming in. Thanks for having me. Making all this work out. We love getting to show this with everybody, and I was happy you could come in and do it with us. Rock and roll. It's going to be on YouTube for you to mull over, and if you saw any bugs, then you get to. Oh, there were a few. Mostly little stuff. you. That's the thing is, it's like, okay, you know, there's one that we know about after Redline, the lights aren't quite right exactly, and then they're fine after that. So it's a couple of little things like that that we're finding. So for those of you who are getting games in the very first batch or so, always make sure you go to our website after you unbox the games and check for the latest code. I can assure you, we plan to have a code release in a couple of weeks for the little things we're finding in this play. But I have to say, I'm really happy with where the game is right now. Just sort of a little bit of the blessing of COVID. I was able to, you know, especially the first three weeks that we talked to me. It was great. I was at home just working on the game. Joe was at home working on his game. We were making great progress. So that was great. So we're pretty happy with that. A good point in chat. Would you like to give one more thing away? Absolutely. Okay. We'll do one more giveaway, Internet. He's going to think of something. I'm trying to think of a... Okay. We have one more T-shirt to do, right? Okay. Joe, you got anything for me? Trivia question. Okay, so the original set of Hot Wheels cars that came out, there was a set of how many cars in the original first year of Hot Wheels? Wow, okay. Hot Wheels collectors will know this and in fact obviously Ace Pinball it was all over, it was 16 was the correct number it looked like Ace was George Michael's and they called the original 16 there was a local Chicago pinball player 69 and 420 you're not correct I was playing in one of the local open leagues here that meets first Tuesday of the month and this was before we had announced Hot Wheels but all the rumors were out there about it and he said to me, he goes, I've got the original 60. They're not in great shape but I have them in great shape. I don't care what shape they are. That's awesome. That's amazing and he said it would be nice if there was a way to show these off in my game and I said, you know, a designer of a game about Hot Wheels might plan that people like you would want to put their cars in the game and he was pretty excited to be able to pick the cars he wants to show in the game. so I think Hot Wheels collectors are going to love it. They're as insane as pinball. Really? Yeah, it's just they outnumber us massively as far as how many people out there collect Hot Wheels. They have conventions like we do. I'm looking forward to getting to go to a few of those to show off the game. The live action Hot Wheels stuff, when people build full-size Hot Wheels. Oh, yeah. The TPF, we were supposed to have, I think it was a rip rod and a bone shaker. Holy crap. Real life versions of those were going to be in our booths. Some guy from California who's built those was bringing them all the way. And so that was a bummer. And I think Bulser was more upset about that. He was really, like, really wanted to get to drive one. Get behind one of these cars. So, right, people take these original cars and they make them real. And those are the true Hot Wheels legends. What I like about this, like, if you're a Hot Wheels person and you're into pinball and you buy this game, You get to put your own freaking cars on this thing. You're like, yeah, listen, I got a beat-up old bone shaker that has to go in this thing. You know? That's so dope. I love it. Right on. Well, Josh, thank you again. Thanks very much. American Pinball Team, thank you so much for having me. And ladies and gentlemen, if you want to learn more about this, you can go to AmericanPinball.com. Yep, absolutely. And read up about that. Go follow them on their social medias, Facebook, Twitter, all that stuff. They're posting stuff as often as they can. and this video will be available on YouTube within an hour. I've got to upload it. It might take a minute to get out there. You've got to strip off all that. You know what's great about Twitch is it already cut it off. So people get to hear my intro twice in a row. Exactly. Except for the last one was a little hurried, but it's fine. We got it through there. Have a great night, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy your weekend and I'll see you on Monday. Adios. Thank you.
