## Transcript

Just a few hours ago, I was in the hospital and that was very uncool. But you know what is not uncool? This Jaws 50th anniversary premium pinball machine that is going in the lineup. I'm Mike Dus [music] and this is Pinball Shenanigans. Oh, I'm recording already. All right, so my new J Premium 50th anniversary is loaded into the living room. Jay, the neighbor is going to help me bring that down later and set that up. Now, the other part of the bargain is that um me and JC are going to head over to Fork River where I have my Rush machine and we're going to pack him up with it and he's going to bring that home. Yeah. About the hospital. I was mowing some grass and I thought I got a little something in my eye and then at midnight last night it just started burning for hours and sleeping didn't seem to resolve it. So, I thought, you know what? I better get this checked out. And um yeah, I went to the hospital in pretty short order, actually. I I I was first in line cuz it didn't open till 8:00. I was there at 7:00 a.m. So, I got to checkpoint one and I talked to a lady. And then they sent me to checkpoint two and I talked to another lady. And then I went to checkpoint three. I talked to a third lady. Then they sat me down in the waiting room. And then shortly thereafter, another lady uh brought me into the eye place. And then shortly after that, the eye doctor uh froze my eye, put some yellow gunk in it, and uh said, "Yeah, you got some crap in there." And said he successfully removed it. My eye is still agitated and annoyed, but uh I can proceed with the pinball shenanigans for the day. JC and I are going to load up this rush and then Why do I have the heat on? It is hot. And then we're going to pop over to the Grazy garage. See what is going on over there. Should I keep it a surprise? Oh, it's probably not going to be a surprise. I'll probably use a photo of his brand new, not brand new, but two new to him Rocky and Bullwinkle pinball machines that he just picked up. So yeah, that is a new and fun acquisition. He's going to do two at the same time if all things go according to plan. One, he'll do one black edition and one blue edition because Data East made both. And that should be a fun project. So, we'll check those out briefly. I think they're just folded up right now. see what other uh progress he's made on Tales of the Arabian Nights and Twilight Zone. Also, JC is giving Kevin a box full of goodies that's going to include my flipper rebuilds for Twilight Zone and some other stuff that Kevin needs for Tales of the Arabian Nights and some other stuff. So, we'll see you over at Fork River. Well, this is pretty cool. It's a car show day at Fork River. Got some pretty awesome Mustangs and more. This is what Fork River looks like when we don't have 25 people in a tournament all crammed into this space. It is a pretty awesome space and uh you should come play in our pinball tournaments first and third of Tuesday of every month. So here's the lineup. Rush is going home with JC and tomorrow my Pokemon Pro is going to replace it. So that is exciting. All right, we got Rush packed up and ready to go. Okay, and now off to the Grazy garage. Oh, we're almost here. All right, Jaci and I made it to the Grazley garage. The boys are here, the doggies are here, and the ferns are here. But as promised, I said we would check out your new acquisitions. Like I said, oh, I hear something. It's the ultrasonic cleaner. Let's snoop around. This lid might be hot. Oh, I can't see what's going on in there. It's Oh, no. It's fine. I just uh actually, you know what? Maybe because sometimes it really messes with the audio. Yeah. Rocky and Boinkle. And Rocky and Bowwinkle. Thank you. What are we going to call this? I was jokingly saying Rocky and Blackwinkle and Rocky and Blue Winkle, but we might be able to come up with something better than that, but there it is. Pick these both up in the same day. So, that's kind of crazy. And uh looks like you got a topper on one. Oh, yeah. Check this out, too. The kids at the arcades like this is a protruding normally um launch button like so. And the kids just smacked the launch button. So the thing did they did it on both. So the thing breaks right off. This is the third Rocky and Bullwinkle that uh between us have owned that have had the same scenario. Wa! Look at this. Oh my god. Got a tiny version of on this guy, too. Yeah, that's a little baby guy. Oh, you got uh some of your plastics for the backbox. Yeah, those guys are all broken on this one. Oh yeah, you might need some Yeah. fabrication possibly going on there. Found this thing in the the first one, the black one. It's like Oh, neat. Recording form EG andJ Napp and Company Data East. What does all that say? Uh, just dates maybe. I don't know. Is it like a maintenance record, you think? Oh, location date installed. Can barely read any of this on a good day, but Gino's Pizza. So, these are all it looks like locations that this was put at and ball scores removal date. That data isn't filled out, but look, there it is. The price 22.90 plus 160 bucks GST from Starburst, August 14th, 1993. That's pretty cool. Well, anything else in there? This is cool. Oh, that's just broken target bolts. These machines just got beat to hell. The one that I got from uh came out of East Park and it was destroyed. Markin City currently has that machine to this day. That's nice. Oh, that's some good fabrication right there. Wow. I like the various Robinson screws. And this one looks a little more sleek than that job. But anyway, this should be a fun uh project for you guys. We've got some Tales of the Arabian night progress. Check this out. Powder coated parts. Lamps been installed. The genie the backboard. I'm still the magnet box. There is the corner white corner and uh all kinds of metal rails. They've all been polished up. It's going to be one of the nicest Tales of the Arabian Knights on the planet. I've said this for a lot of your machines, but I know that's that's pretty steep competition for some of these games. There's some really nice ones out there. Yeah, I mean this is a game that people do up often, very often. Um, I'm sure there's a lot of high-end ones out there, but this is up there. This is on the scoreboard. Here's the new ramps that are going to go in. I'm going to stay very far away from those. Look at those. They are brand spanking new and incredible. Uh, so there is a whole bunch of boxes that JC just brought and some of this is for Tales Arabian Knight. Some of it's for Night Rider. Night Rider. I think I saw a box that said Night Rider parts on it. Right there. Oh, okay. There we go. That's the Night Rider parts. Anyway, [snorts] uh in those boxes are also apron decals, I believe, for Tails. And uh what's going on over here? Is this uh the Night Rider got sanded down? Yes, that was uh not done last time I was here. So, there's some more progress. Oh, and we got the name of this uh machine wrong, eh? It's like galaxy ranger. I think we were calling it. I forget what we were calling it, but we got it wrong. I just went quarter hunting. Jiggled some coin mechs and something fell out. It's not a quarter. And there may be more. But look, it is a cool token of some sort. What does it say? Dutch, I need your eyeballs and your fingers. some Oh, is that I'm zoom in even more. Oh, that's like a That could have been from like Japanese characters. Japanese slot machine or something. And just so you know, I'm taking that. This is all the night rider parts. Check it out. New flippers, blue pop and blue skirts cuz uh the original ones were white. So, I saw these on another Night Rider that was restored and they had used blue. Oh, yeah. That'll look good. So then there's apron card, pop bumper. Oh yeah, the uh bases. Mhm. Um credit lamp button or the credit Oh yeah, for the coin for the apron. Um boot bumper bodies. All clear posts. The um coin door decal. Spinner decals. Oh yeah. And apron decals. Yep. Oh, there's the other apron card. Oh, it looks good. Is this Johnny G or you got this off? Oh, Johnny G. It is Johnny G. Nice. The good blue Titan rubber rings. Oh, very nice. Full kit. More both. Now, there's different There's one in posts and one and a quarter post. These look like one and a quarter post. They're a little taller. Oh, yeah. Because I I Kevin told me he said get the other ones cuz I think the ones the smaller ones were for the rings and the taller ones um said um keep the plastics higher above. Yeah, this night rider is going to be freaking awesome. Pop um caps. Oh, and new pop caps, too. We're not done yet. Still digging in springs for the Oh, pop bumper springs. Wow. That's it. That's all of it. Very nice. Yep. All right. This is JC's future Grazley garage projects. Here we got the Madari. We got the Harlem Globe Trotters. There's the Night Rider. So, have a close look at the befores. These are pretty rough, but of course, all new playfields are going in. So, it don't matter how bad the playfield is. All three of them. The fact that they're basically complete is really all that matters. This Matahari was played hard and not a whole lot of paint left. Okay. I didn't check out the uh progress on Twilight Zone in the arcade because um there wasn't too much going on. Dutch is just waiting on me to get him the last few parts. Clock housing, couple mods, and a flipper rubber. I'll get that to him in a couple days and then he'll be able to finish the job. One last thing to do other than go for a nap cuz I got like minutes of sleep last night cuz my stupid eye is to get Jay the neighbor over and get Jaws into the basement. All right, Jaws in the basement. Thanks, Jay. The neighbor came to the rescue yet again. Yeah.
