## Transcript

website imgbs BL what. what! what!? what!? what is the people of guard Oh, incredible. Saved his tournament life right here on ball three. Oh, he got it. He got it. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. And with that, we have a changeover in our production booth. And Carl will now be joining us. He's got that... I can't tell if he's sad or it's just the same Carl look, you know? He's exhausted. Yeah, I imagine. This has been incredible, the amount of work put into this. During Classics Finals yesterday, I was kind of watching over Carl's shoulder while he was running the stream, and every 30 seconds a scorekeeper was coming up to him to ask questions, and he was doing like 50 things and it was pretty incredible. If you haven't seen this, there's a whole 12 foot long table just full of wires and cables and dials batteries and one man running it all. And thanks to Mike Welsh who was running the booth for us first round while Carl was playing. Thanks Mike. All right, so we're getting selectors going here. Yeah, and this is probably the most, not probably, this is definitely the most technologically advanced tournament that there is. Right, in terms of the tech setup, you've got bleachers facing all the games. There's large monitors for every game. There's a three-camera setup on every game. We've got Scorbit. We've got a Telestrator. What am I missing? We got this thing, you know, everybody pulls in automatically. We can see Bowen's group there. He's got Jim Belsito, Todd Grafix, or Ray Fitch, depending on who you believe. And so we will be going with group one, our top-seeded group, with Escher Lefkoff, Keith Elwin, Adam McKinney, and Jason Werdrick on Baywatch. This Baywatch is beautiful. It's got the new Baywatch Color DMD, one of our sponsors for the finals here. Yeah, thanks, PinballNarchist. I got bubbled out in the last, I don't know, ten minutes. And I think it might have been Adam McKinney, so I am rooting against him. No, no, no. We are impartial in the booth. Impartial. It is our... So Baywatch is also running custom ROMs. I don't actually remember the walkthrough of everything that the custom ROMs do. I can probably pull it up. I'm not... I'm not super... So we're on version 4.01 Baywatch. And thanks, Carl. And I don't know, can we pull up the... How soon are we going to start? Should we pull it up and start talking about it? Yeah, let's tell us straight away through Baywatch. Alright. So what's the important features on this game? We have three drop targets. These light lock. That is right. I suspect a lot of players are going to be driving to get their locks lit early. That will light locks up on the tower. Now in standard settings, one sweep will light all three locks, right? Yep. But here you're going to have to qualify each lock separately. Other important shots are the guard. so there's a G Q A R D and so hitting each of those hitting all five of those starts this guard millions that count down from 50 million and actually let's just talk here so the skill shot if you make the same skill shot on all three balls you get 50 million points so we're probably just going to see everybody just picking the top lane skill shot and in total it's worth actually 110 if you get all three on all your balls. Were you... Oh, let's see. Okay, so he's going after his locks, and we can't see the top of the tower, but up here there's like this kind of flashing blue. I think that's an indication that his lock is lit. He has at least one. He might have two already. I can't tell from here. The shard kick out, like we just saw, pretty dangerous, and it killed Keith. I mean, killing is a strong word. So mostly that was progress towards multiball. Yes. That's beneficial. That's where people are going to score the points in this game. So Keith picked this. Escher. Oh, sorry. Oh, right. But no, Escher deferred, I guess, because Escher's their top seed. Right, so Azure would have taken fourth, and that would have meant... Deferred to Keith? No, qualifying to CD8. Huh, I guess we don't even know how we got here. That's interesting. No, we don't know how we got here. Do you think Wardrick also deferred? And then... Let's just speculate. Yeah, okay. Because we know nothing. All right, so this is Adam McKinney stepping up. Keith chose. Okay. So here we go. He is going... So those are those flag targets to get towards the multiball. It's not clear. Looks like he's picking off guard ramps, letters. We'll see if he's going to go to lock here. Looked like a lock shot. Yeah, so primarily this game is about those drops for the locks, and then there's modes which are either by doing each of the shots once or a single shot three or four times to start the particular mode on that shot. Yeah, there's a couple of the modes that may be worthwhile playing, but it's not really multi-balls where you're going. You want the safety. There's a lot of points in there. See how Jason does stepping up to this game. I'm not even sure if you can get the other skill shots. I'm pretty sure it just shoots into the lane no matter what. Really? Yeah. Oh. He made his skill shot. I don't think we'll see anyone miss a lane selection. We have a ball save on this game. It's nice that they do give you that. I mean, since you don't have control over the plunge, I always feel that's fair, you know? Yeah. Takes the shark shot. Interesting. Now, were you flipping with that? I was, but I only played this like once. We've got a nice video mode here. Jump the ramps, avoid the obstacles. Is this deterministic? I have no idea. Okay. That's, you know, some decent points. Free points, I'll take free points. Yeah, a lot of people will see if people use different strategies, but when it comes through this lane here past the little shark flipper, you have the opportunity to flip across to let it go through the inlanes and it's safe every time that way although the ball may rattle a little bit like that it was smooth there you could also potentially hold the shark flipper up and send the ball over the slingshot I didn't try that but it's certainly possible on some pay watches you can also you can backhand the drops as well. It's difficult, but possible. Looked like he didn't want to attempt it. Yeah, I've heard a lot of people say this is one of the best color DMD, one of the best games for color DMD. They did a really nice job with it. Yeah, and it was one of the limitations with the large screen for a while before they got this done. So he's got his first lock lit. You can see a little bit of blue flashing in the upper left corner. And he takes his lock. Oh no, it rejected. Oh man. That is surprising. That is bad luck. Because usually it doesn't don't you only have to go halfway up when it's for locks? It's like you fall in. There's a diverter. Yeah, but it looked like the diverter didn't drop there or something. I don't know. So Escher does, he has one of these at his local arcade, Lions Classic Pinball. There's one of them, so he'll know this game pretty well. I mean, he knows every game well, but he doesn't have the opportunity to practice this. So you can see there he chose to just not use that shark flipper. ball nice and clean feed oh no looks like he was he was Trent Trent using the the you ramp to transfer to the left and go for the locks Yeah, Escher is the new king. So Escher, there's four divisions here. Escher qualified on his first ticket on all four divisions. Both Classics, Main, and High States. And he's leading the Beatles charity thing as well. Yeah, which is unbelievable. And kept playing all weekend. Right, he did. I guess actually maybe his main, he used like a practice ticket, and then the second one got him in. But then kept, you know, played a couple more after that. Keith chooses not to flip. And you can see now, it either comes smooth or like that, where it rattles a little bit. So the timing is different each time. if it comes smoothly, you can lift up the right and pass it over to the left. If it rattles, you probably can't. Alright, so he just used up, there's a kickback on the left out lane there, which he used up, and he can relight it over here. But that's a dangerous shot to take. Yeah, there's very few games where I'm shooting to relight my kickback. because they usually are more dangerous than the benefit. Oh, he took a pot shot at me. What do we know? Because he just hit both in one shot, and now he's got it back. I take it back. You should always shoot for the relight laser kick on Baywatch, because as Bowen said, do what Keith does. That's a good strategy in general. So let's see. He has all of it. I think he has all of his locks lit. Yeah, there's not really anywhere in the playfield that indicates that. Well, it's on the tower that we can't see. Right, yeah. Oh no, he doesn't, because the light lock drop targets are still flashing. That should be it, I think. Trouble. Nice. That is ball three. All right, so here he's just, all the major shots are lit, right? And when you hit them all, then you have a super? Yeah, I think so. Where's the super? We'll find out. Okay. I think it's either like that far right shot or maybe it's the side right. It might be the side ramp off the upper flipper. So this is, I'm a little surprised he hasn't got cradled up yet. But looks like now he is getting ball into control. There's still a move. Picking off another jackpot, 70 million. So the jackpots went from 30 to 70. Oh my goodness. That is not what you want to be doing in multiball play. If you're a person with anger issues, just rewind about five seconds and just look at the stone coldness. I mean, he was disappointed, but like, he just, I don't know, kind of walked away. Yeah. I'm sure there are emotions inside. But they don't come out. No. No, it's... Not on key. Just calm and relaxed. So, a good score on this. Well, in qualifying, there were some, you know, maybe a billion and a half, two billion. Do you have to pay for it? Yeah, so I'm pretty sure there were a few scores over a billion. Try to pull it up here on my phone. Main game scores. I would say in this round right now, if you're getting over like 600 or 700, you're probably feeling pretty good. I don't know that that's enough to win, but you'll pick up a few points that way. Don't miss, Escher. So Adam has let the tilt bulb settle. You will find that any time someone tilts, the next player is going to casually walk up to the game and take their time, which is where Ryan and I will fill you in with witty commentary and great stories. Thanks, Donkey Clonk. So I guess after you get a jackpot, your future jackpots are doubled briefly so it's sort of like a combo brief combo rule that's great you see the shark champion was ray so i assume he did that this weekend um Definitely working on those blocks. He's got at least one left. So he just got two dangers. And man, this game is tight. I didn't even see that he'd done anything. No. Oof. I'm wondering if this is maybe the tightest game in the bank, just based on what we've seen here. So the top qualifying score was 2.8 billion by Richie Terry. Okay. But there's only four games over 2 billion, so... You know, a billion is a solid game. It's playing tough. I don't know if people... On card qualifying format, you generally play the games very similar to how you play them in match play. Yeah. Like, you're playing safer than you would on a best game format. where you're willing to take huge risks to blow up a game. Yes, for sure. I don't know that on Baywatch particularly, if your strategy would change much. Yeah, I'm not sure there's multiple ways to grind through it. There is sort of a wizard mode that may be worth it, but it requires a lot of shooting. Alright, so this is player three, Jason Lergrich, stepping up on ball two. He is at 128 million, which is pretty solid progress. Hasn't played a multiple yet, so... Oh, wait, no, he did... Okay, I should be keeping better track of what's going on. No, well, he's got locks lit right now, so he didn't... That's ball one locked. I just don't remember where he got points from Oh he played video mode Oh right That was where he got his points He got rejected by the What? Maybe I missed that I thought he just hit the left ramp in it Shark flip and drain Oh, he got a ball save on that. So did that kick out of the shark hole? Yeah, it kicked out of the shark hole. So there's a brief ball save whenever it kicks out of there. You've got to kind of drain immediately. But he's now one shot from guard million. So he might be going for that D over here. Yeah, it looks like it. Laser kick. And that's going to be $50 million a shot as a hurry up. Here you go. All five main shots, the red ones. And they're counting down, starting at 50. 49. It's really hard to keep your patience here. And he just took a danger there. Oh, come on. Hit it. Hit it or hurry up. All right, great. 40 million. Up the middle. Oh, nice. 39. Left ramp. All right, slow time. Just a little bit. There we go. Oh, no. This is the pressure of the hurry up. Like, it really makes you hurry. It does. 27 million. 27 million. Guard tower's all that's left. Which, I mean, that's more... About the same as a jackpot in multiball. So this is the valuable mode. It's what everybody tries to get. This and helicopter are the two that people play. Is helicopter... What's your objective there? You're, like, rescuing people up the middle, I think. I think you pick up the stand-up targets and then you rescue them up. Okay, so you've got to go stand-ups, though. I think. It's been a long time since I played a Baywatch. So, let's see here. Escher's stepping up here with only 23 million. Keith has 330. Adam has 72. Jason has 381. So Jason's leading, but 381 is just not safe at all. No. that's really but he still has multiball like Jason has not played it that is true he's in good shape Keith tilting out of his multiball he's got some work to do no doubt he can do it alright, ball one locked and Escher has all his locks his other locks set already so he's probably just going to see him go left around There we go, nice safe control of the shot. Oh, interesting. It's two in a row for the... Oh, you must not have all the locks, because you shot drops there. Wouldn't they be lit? Wouldn't the drops be lit? The light lock insert only lights once you've dropped one of the targets. Ah, okay. For some strange reason. Or maybe it's once you... Because they're not lit right now, but they become lit once you... Yes, okay. So we expect Keith to maybe go off or... No, Keith's played a multiball, so I expect him to go guard. Okay. Because I assume it's harder the next... Oh! There is no grace period. So Segas have absolutely zero grace period. If that was any Bally Williams game, any Stern game, he would have gotten that ball back. But because the ball came down and rolled up, the ball saver died right there. Well, it's worse than that. It takes a while to settle into the trough, and you have to actually hit the trough switch before, and it can just take a surprising amount of time past the apron for that switch to register. So you can drain with it still flashing, and you can't see the ball, and you still won't get it back. The invention of the grace period is a good thing for pinball. I don't know who we can credit that to, but... I'm going to imagine Lyman. Lyman gave us the grace period. It does seem like a Lyman thing. Yep. And even if it isn't, I'll just start that rumor and the world can go with it. Alright, Adam. Stepping up. I'm going to... If we're going to be playing this game a lot today, we should recrop this, if possible, to try to get that tower. I mean, it's lit for him. You can see the flashing blue. Yeah. So Carl's going to move the camera. Quit asking. You know, we could be better broadcasters broadcasters and keep notes and do various things like that. So Adam's thinking, so still just multiball. I think he's probably got it. See, now they've started flashing. Right. Now that he's dropped one of them. Now he took the A to work towards guard millions. One letter left. Yep. So he's on the right. he's going left ramp, and he's on the right, he's probably going for the R. Ball two. And you can't stack things, can you? No. So if he starts guard, then he's... Oh, man. Will not. Bonus isn't very significant in this game. So, this is not probably going as... as anyone expected. I mean, I think people thought they'd have some higher scores. All right, so basically, so Keith has 471, Adam has 246. Jason's stepping up with 381, but if he plunges the top lane correctly, he's going to get 80 million. So he basically have passed Keith with a skill shot and one successful shot And he missed it? Oh my goodness. But he's got multiball close. I hope he has another locklet. He does. I see a blue glow. so I think he's got his multiball ready. Just need to let it go. That's just a get control? No, that is not just a get... Oh! And yeah, I did not think that was going to work. Oh, the missed skill shot. Oh. Cost him a point. Maybe two points. Wow. Holy cow. Alright, people, quit asking about the cameras. We're going to fix it after this game. Just Baywatch is off, shifted off a little bit. Well, so the thing is, yeah, Zentron says, when skill shots require skill, the thing is about Baywatch, you can't control the plunge, and it feeds, you don't have control of the feed up there, and so a lot of times, it's consistently going to one lane. Like, it goes to the right lane 80% of the time, But if you're not super vigilant it can pop back in you like you have to put there's three lanes You have to put the skill shot in the lane that it's most likely to drop into quickly And so if it does you're good and if it rattles Then you will have time to switch it before it goes through another lane right you get an extra 50 for three of a kind so it says 30 but he'll get 80 which he there it is three of a kind oh man I hope Jason is not going to have to look back on this and blame a Baywatch skill shot so now Asher's done wow so Keith wins with 471, which is not a great score, and he had a multiball where he tilted. He tilted during a multiball, and that was good enough for the win. Yep. Well, we're just getting warmed up here. Some of these people, this is the first game they flipped today. Yeah, it's one of these interesting situations where, like, sometimes the buy isn't actually that helpful. Like, you're cold. now a lot of these great players they can step up to a game and just play do you need to warm up? or not? oh thanks to our sponsors here we're watching the main division which is the 2019 Indisc main division sponsored by Color DMD and Comet Pinball and Scorbit and Pin Stadium Pirates Auction yep it's great, it's good to have It's good to have companies supporting these tournaments. There's a lot of work and there's a lot of finances that go into this. Yeah, well, I run a lot of tournaments and I always want to return all the prize money to the players. And so that means there's other expenses and I try not to take that out of the prize pool. So I know that in this case, a lot of the money goes to streaming costs. They've got lots of technology, this huge setup. And so Carl's got the ladder out. You've got to pay for that ladder somehow. All right, so we're joining in-progress game of Massing Around. It looks like we are player four, bowing Karens on ball two, I believe I saw. He is in multiball and has not raised his jackpot. And these are good scores. 13 million is a solid two-ball. No joke here. So we'll see if Bowen can play as controlled here with the two balls as he was urging Colin to do. Oh, so he tried the slingshot post-pass or whatever. Actually, he almost cradle separated that into the lock. That was kind of cool. But I'm sure he would have much rather had control there. all right so out of multiball probably focusing on cheese here because i assume that multiball was not intentional was more just what happened and drain all right so this group is a jim belcido todd refax is that what we decided said rathix or Rayfix. Rayfix, okay. Jermaine Muriel and Bowen Kerins, they are stepping up to ball three. Jim has a large lead at $13 million, but that is certainly catchable depending on where people's jackpot values are at. And he must have cashed that out in the last multiball, so he's reset down to the lowest value. yeah we just covered this last round but if you're just joining us too the main things you're going to see people doing are hitting these targets to light their multiball and that's sort of what everyone's been doing let's see Jim is starting out here with his locks lit there's one now he wants to go over here and important to hit the skill shot that's the one that's been easiest up at the top the right one and it seems to bounce in there on its own like that. So now he raised the jackpot up here. That's a nice control. Let's see which transfer option he chooses. Again, people have been using it. That's a nice low post pass. Beautiful. People are using the closed trap as a option to get it across. But nice drop and into, oh no, that rejected. oops what a save there that's something that I don't do and I need to it's kind of like the what do you call that you hit both flippers and you're not supposed to hit both at the same time but that was what saved it yeah it ends up being one of these like I always slap save with both flippers and I know the good players say don't do that I definitely I used it a lot early on when I was trying to learn flipper skills and I was flipping into the bottom of the other flipper too often, and I scaled back, and it helped me improve, but now I think I'm reaching the point where I don't do it enough. Like, there's times where it would save me, but I don't. Oh, and I saved there. Beautiful. So he wants the two flashing wedges on the outside shots. Oh, kickback was still flashing? A little grace period kickback action. Can you backflip into this? Can he cradle separate up into the lock? Oh, that would have been nice. The up and under into the lock. Oh, reject. Oh, no. That kicks out. He was waiting for it. He needs to get this right one. There we go. His jackpot is lit on the right ramp. This is all he wants. Nothing else matters. Oh, we've been seeing that with everybody. Sort of. They get that jackpot there, and they miss their first attempt. I like the patience. Let's just get this back under control. Yeah, he's got all the time in the world. There we go. Now he's got to relight them. So that's 1.5. Wait for the animations. Now we need to go back into here. That was sort of light. I hope that was up. All right, out of multiball. Back to single ball play. And it resets his jackpot value, so he may want to build this on cheese. I think that'd be a great idea. When people sign up for this tournament, they get their picture taken and they record a little video that says their name and they say whatever, what their home league is or their favorite game. I'm Jim Belcido from Erie, California. And then run through a banner. I enjoy qualifying on very few attempts and often at the last moment. It's like the ESPN Feel the Flow pitchers. Those were great. What are those? Were the people moved? Oh, no, no, no. Like, they did a couple years ago. I don't know if Jim's got a lock here. It was at Pimberg. They took a few people, and ESPN did profiles. and when ESPN does athlete profiles they photograph them without their equipment and so there's these pictures of like Steven Bowden and Zach Sharp they're like stand with your eyes closed like you're in front of the machine feel the flow but those were great, I loved those alright so Jim has got himself back into multiball thank you so much for the subscription Leo DeLow and kickback saves that. That's why multiple start, I guess, gives you a kickback. And we will... Nice. Slank transfer? Oh. Does the up and under. Playing wild, but that's good. Jackpot's lit at the right. They really need to make a bigger deal on the play field that your jackpot is lit, right? I mean, you can't even see. Well, you can see in the back, I think. Oh, he got all the way around and came back on him. That one should be good. No, another. This is boss three, so he would. Oh, 2x. Oh, we get a 2x jackpot right here. There it is. There it is. 2x jackpot. Four million. It says two. Two million. No, but it was double. How do you erase it? Well, he had the 2x going on. it so the display only showed the base value it didn't include the multiplayer nice 20 21 is a very solid game of messing around and that would be one of the top scores in the entire weekend yeah and but because he collected that jackpot and dropped down a multiball it resets his his value so he's back down to a million. But that raises it right there. And it gives him 300K for the cheesy bonus. Yes. Where Jim is on this right now, he would have been in fourth place in qualifying just behind some guy named Jim Belsito with 23 million in qualifying. So out of roughly 300 plays in the entire weekend, you're watching one of the best performances right here. Yeah. top score was by Jermaine at 36 million. Who we're going to see here in a couple balls. Oh, cheesy streak. Here we go. He's got it open. So you can see it's an easy shot, but the way that it comes down, it's not often going fast enough to tip over or it's going too fast to make an accurate shot back up the middle. Still, that's a solid game, and he's going to be feeling good about that. Todd has some work to do, right? Yeah, so... Well, I guess actually... He's up to 2 million. He's really worried about the 3 million getting there first. But he definitely needs some progress on his traps. Do you think he might go center ramp? No. He only needs one thing. Oh, he's got the kickback already, so that's kind of an argument against it. I think he's just going mouse trap letters here. Great tip over. There we go. I like shooting the T and R because you kind of miss and hit the ramp. Kind of graze it. And what happens when you go for the A and the P and miss? You hit the T and the R. Oh, this is... This is nice. Ah, gets both of them. Just needs the O. All right, what's he going to do here? Chess. That'd be interesting. He's got choices. It's as good pinball as about having choices. Nice. Ooh. That worked out pretty nice. Can I get it? Yeah. Get it under control and try again. Looking for that Get the ball on the other flipper Nice bounce He was thinking about shooting that right stand up Nice there he goes Locks are lit Take a second Oh right lane is not shatsable Okay Just because of the geometry of the in lane I guess Yeah I think there's two feeds into the right side And the switch is on the inside there Yeah Rich This game does have big ish. I don't know if these are bigger than standard. The shot felt easy enough to me. It's just I could never get more than three or four before something bad would happen. Yeah, we don't... This doesn't have the usual PAPA modification on the post. This is using new ROMs, so when you spell cheese, the gate will come up. There's also a streak bonus if you shoot it over and over again, which actually makes it somewhat valuable. it seems reasonably balanced I don't know if players just aren't going for it because they don't know or because it's not actually balanced enough to be worth it yeah this is a new ROM and I don't know that everybody is super familiar with it I'm not you know I greatly appreciate the work Soaring is doing to make these games playable regardless of whether people are taking advantage of that the ROM is part of the reason why we're able to use this at all These people know that they can't just spam the center ramp forever. Alright, get this ball under control. Oh no! Mmm, in jail. and he has managed to build his jackpot quite a bit so he's really got to get back here i guess there is a pass your opponent's strategy right now which is you don't need to necessarily wow that was a big save and no dangers even oh you got a danger oh did he yeah okay so yeah maybe just spell cheese oh the ramp is down the center ramp is down so if he spells cheese with the ramp here is that going to put the center back up either way it puts the center back up all right so there's no real big benefit to doing it on the center ramp he's also getting millions here oh was that a million no that was just a cheesy bonus sorry yeah we can't see the millions letters oh i can see them from here he has three of them Yeah, he's not He's kind of Three targets for multiball What to do, what to do A million is A million points, that could help But it's a lot of ramp shots, right? Or well It's a lot of ramp shots, but they're pretty repeatable Maybe he'll get into the flow And just do it He's got five of them now. Could you use the doubler with the millions? I just timed out on him. One letter or million shots. Got maybe two or three million shots to light that. Going for the letter. Nice. Got it. All right, one more lock awesome any chance of a short plunge I don't know I'm too careful. I think I'm just afraid you know you put it up in the pops. Oh, and there we go a short punch Good somebody See the thing like The The issue I have with the short plunge is if I'm not doing that short plunge every time, then it's something different. I like to play the game the same way. I like to approach it every time. Alright. Jermaine is stepping up. He... That's two and a half million jackpots. Yeah, he's just going to need to get into multiple. I don't think there's anything else to think about. Nope. He's trap slipped. And it's just one because there's a ball on the right side? Yes. And I think because it's not. I think he needs both of them. Todd left one in there. Nice. Oh. Nice. Oh, beautiful. Now he's going to kickback out. Yeah, don't walk away. Perfect That's the move I need to do that more often How he just lifted the The ball had barely made it over to the right And was up by the tip And he lifted the It was really subtle But it was a great way to get it under control So it's a nice Use the ramp to transfer over to the other side Getting nice on the fly Lock shot there He's got control It's now multiball We know he can do this Oh, almost got it Skill shot there And a tough one Alright, oh, one down. Will he be able to be patient? Alright, let's see if he, does he know the little sling transfer? Yes, he does know the little sling transfer. So cool. I've learned something today. If I watch enough streams then I will eventually get this. You probably require tight slings. Yeah. but all right what is he doing with a million uh a million points to get here he is thinking strategy what is he going to accomplish going for the mousetrap oh yeah and he accidentally he shot into the the bank there so his center is lit nice save beautiful save still going mousetrap There's one more here. It's got the T and the R on the one side. I don't know. I'm almost tempted by that center. If you could streak that, you could probably pass with the streak bonus. Danger. Wow. Still alive. Two letters left from S-Trap. I'm just trying to... One... There we go. R just needs the U. We don't have focus. That's fine. We've lost our telestrating abilities. That's okay. Carl's dealing with some issues with the software right now. Their database is down, so we're trying to get number grants back up. Oh, man. Another nice little move over there. Oh, no. There it is. On the way back down. So, control locks. The sigh of relief as he's approaching this. Okay. He's just going to shoot that right block. Unless, what else would he be thinking about? No, no. He's just composing himself. Yeah. Just calm down, get the nerves right, make your shot. That's something I never do. I know I shouldn't talk about myself so much, but yeah. There's a lot to learn from these great players. Oh, nice shot. Oh, beautiful. I don't do that. I don't have the balls to do that. Here we go. multiball action. Let's see if we can get a jackpot this time. He's got the easy skill shot. So just kind of a full plunge is going to get it? Yeah. All right. He's maxed out his bone. He's got one lock. Maxed out the jackpot. Now the center is going crazy right now. Does that mean anything? It's just open. Okay. So you can still get cheese letters out of the center if you want. Sling pass. Awesome. Settle. Sling pass. There it is. Look, so cool. All right. Right away. Boom. Gets it. Four. Yes. Five million. And now he can relight this and get another five million. And begin to challenge Jim. Oh, great tip. And his opponents can still catch him here. So Bowen can definitely make some jackpots. He's got a pad to protect that point. Oh, a freebie. Now just hang out, right? Let the kick out, live catch. Yeah. sling pass alright hop it up no we're still not focused I missed the telestration kickback saves us ok well he could relight the kickback with that center ramp right I mean I'm not sure that you would right now does it light when it I thought it was when you drop the bank it lights it no it's three shots after you've dropped it he doesn't have three shots next one closes it I think oh and could he raise the value with actually no maybe a multiball it never closes I'd have to read the rules on the new ROM could he could he raise his well there's nothing to raise alright that's that's a big bummer because now he goes back to one million on the jackpots yeah which you can see in the above the player four score there's this cheesy bonus so what 15 of those jackpots and he'll take the lead yeah and now now he's got to grind to get back up into there he's going to build his jackpot for a bit because he doesn't really see the point of going into multiball at a lower value I think yeah I think that's the right move really get up to yeah might as well go all the way to 5 It was one of the interesting things we saw before that in some respects getting your jackpots earlier versus later doesn make that big of a difference when you building it That all that puts the pressure on Bowen The women's finals is going to be, what, at noon? Something like that? It'll be when we're done this round, I think. Because we're past noon. Okay. Oh. Oh, yeah, we are. Yeah. So we are finishing up the second round. and so when we're done the second round we'll be switching over. The top four will be streamed for women. Yes. And this is only game one of the quarterfinals so we've got some play to go. Yeah, they were... They started on time too. I don't know. People have just been playing long games. People have been playing well. We had tiebreakers in the first round. Oh, yeah. 777. Great move there, Cohen. It's going to be a fun day. We're going to have a lot of streaming. It's going to be good. I've got a quiz here. How is Bowen feeling right now? Because he's got his headphones in, and he's trying to sing and dance. That means he's nervous. Yeah. As he told us before he stepped into the ring here. Getting himself calm. What do you think he's listening to? we could read his lips you know it is I don't know I don't know what his songs are I remember an interview where he talked about his playlists I assume he's trying to slow himself down so it's probably something classical right now with lyrics though it has words classical with lyrics huh like something like an opera maybe he's listening to the dialed in theme song and he's singing the I've got a new phone song oh I would have flipped with the right there and I would have been dead. That was awesome. It came just past and I can't tell straight. Carl can fix that if he's got his headphones back on. He's trying to do a lot of stuff here. I'm working on Telestrator. We don't have focus. So let's see. Trying to shoot that. Thank you. Yeah, all right. All right, Ryan, go crazy. We're going to watch Bowen sing. All right. It's definitely not classical. No, he's singing something. Some kind of 70s or 80s pop song. I don't don't think it's whale sounds alright so Bone is looking around like he wants somebody's not clear what's going on so Bone has a question for the he is getting real close on bonus here to picking up a point So he probably, if I were him, I'd just be going ramps, a couple of cheese letters, and at least get to that 4 million, and then focus on multiball. Maybe he's looking to see if his bonus, so his hit out hole bonus is 270k. So he is just a little bit short, doing the math. He needs basically a shot without tilting. Yeah, it's tough to be calm. It doesn't look like Bowen is. I mean, it looks like he's trying to make himself calm, but obviously he's feeling something there. Although headphones are out now because he was asking a question. I guess now that he's passed, he's settled. I think for me it just depends on if I think I'm doing well, you know, and shooting the ball well, and I know what the game is going to do and how the feeds are going to be, then I don't have a problem being calm. But if I start thinking too much about what I need, what my opponents have, and what happens if I lose this game... And headphones are going back in now that the ball is in the shooter lane. Okay, so now he needs 6 million. The next 6 million points mean nothing for Bowen. But he is at 2 million? 2.5 million jackpot. Yeah, there it was on the instant info. And, oh no. Well, he saved his energy for the next game. Alright. Player 1, enter your initials. and so my understanding is we're going to be moving over to Safecracker in a moment after a word from our sponsors Thank you. Thank you. So we had whodunit in the finals last year, and it would have been nice to have that color DMV. I'm not sure if there was. Did you see the red and black on roulette? Oh, yeah. And when it's black and white, you don't know which is which. Yeah, it's great to have color DMV sponsoring the 2019 Indus Main Division, sponsored by color DMV. Thank you, color DMV. We are in Banning, California at the Pinball Museum, and it never drains in Southern California. We are, well, this is game two of the quarterfinals. I guess I'm not entirely sure who picked this game, but I guess it could have been Escher. I think Escher picked this game. Escher is our top seed. I guess everyone deferred before and let Keith pick in game one. Safecracker how does Safecracker work in multiplayer? I think we're going to see some things in Safecracker that I'm not going to be able to explain as a commentator so this is a timed game normally when you play this game it's a timed game so you start out with 16 minutes it's not real minutes it's fake minutes and you can you can drain as many times as you want and you keep getting the ball back as long as you have time on the clock and then when it gets down to zero the next time you drain you're done so we may not see everybody it's it's maybe confusing yeah so is it like oh we're playing well so like is it like beat the clock where when you drain you switch players yes oh we are going to play one player we're going to play one player alright That makes more sense. So you can complete some objectives during the play which will add time. And people are going to be trying to go for multiball. So there's going to be possibly some strategies where people are just plunging and draining because the stand-ups, here are things that add time, and those can all just sort of be freebies off the pop-up. And so I was talking to somebody today who was just draining, draining, draining. Yeah, I was watching Adam play this game in qualifying, and he literally just didn't flip for the first, until, just keep getting more time, try to get your skill shots into that center hole, and just do that over and over again, like you play pinball without flipping the button. And then you play chicken and then start your multiball. Now, we are using custom ROMs again. So there's a number of things that the custom ROMs... They're not custom ROMs. They're custom settings. You can actually see some of it kind of up here. Wheel award starts with lock ball. The left in-lean is disabled. Sequential knobs? Yeah, so during the, when you're in the upper play field, the values that you get for the knobs where you stop it are a fixed sequence. All right. Do you know what they are? I didn't learn them. I think it's like the first one's two and then five and then I lost track. Okay. Oh, no way. We're getting clarifications. Oh, yeah, and you can leave the board at any time. But one, two, three, four, five. Okay. So that's sequential. It's just sequential. Okay. Got it. So Escher here is draining on purpose. Oh, but we are playing three players? Oh, boy. We're going to figure out what's going to go on. They're going to restart the game, according to our tournament director and producer. Because not the correct number of players were put into the game. The correct number should be one. Yes. So, okay. So I think maybe we... The decision was made to play this game as single player, and either that didn't get communicated to Escher, or there was some sort of start button malfunction, so three players got entered, and we got to start over. And it is all players' responsibility to ensure that the correct number of players are in the game, and a game started with the incorrect number of players is void. That's right. Doesn't matter what happens. What is a good score on Safecracker? Millions. Yeah, a million I think is pretty solid. We're going to look up what the top qualifying scores are. Three million was the top qualifying score. Strong scores were around one and a half to two million. Let's have Escher show us what to do here. Watch this skill drain. Oh no, he flipped. yeah so and so these this lock comes from the mystery ward which is gonna be that I believe guard opens the door so wait so he shot scoop and now we're up in the board game up top which we can see up here and you get a choice of fast or slow he's picking slow and it's or I don't know why so he has the choice of continuing or exiting and getting multiball he continues there's not that much risk here ATM gives him some points guard is chasing down choosing the award of money and a big roll by the guard to close the gap he collected because he was a little worried about that so now he's got multiball objective in multiball is shoot the ramp for jackpots and add more time and shoot the spinner lane to relight the jackpot. Thank you, Carl, for helping me out because I don't have access to a safe tracker. I did have access to one for a little while, but it was never used in tournaments, so I didn't learn it. So kudos to Carl and Jim for pulling this off. Hopefully their TGP calculation still works out. Carl's giving me the thumbs up. He has confirmed that we still max out TGP. So, Ezra just drained there, but it doesn't matter because it's all about time. So you can see the bar at the bottom of the DMV when he is... well, he's got locks lit now. That shows the time remaining, and there's several shots on the playfield that will add time. And that's one of the things, it's just completing the lanes at the top, which you get every time you... Those pops are very generous, you can add a lot of time to the game. Now is he short plunging or is he full plunging here? He's full plunging, trying to get that ABC and those targets. Top lanes will add time, some of these targets will add time. So, still staying alive here. not in sudden death yet I think are these just two inch flippers I think they're they're thing flippers okay yeah so that was in the chat that nobody's put these on other flippers they are in other games oh there's okay they're slightly larger so the there's standard three inch flippers and then two inch flippers is like thing flips and I don't know probably that iron maiden upper flipper so these are probably two and a quarter maybe Yeah. They're slightly smaller than lightning, slightly bigger, you know. They're a lot smaller than lightning. So this is another tool to put in your arsenal as a TD. Let's see you put safecracker flippers on, like, I don't know, one of your really long playing games and make everyone angry. All right, so he's managed to build up his time again, so he's back to the ability to play for a while. So he wants that lock, right? On the left front? Oh, actually, no. He looks like he's shooting a scoop. There we go. He has to get back into the... He had the lock. He had to get back into the vault or the upper play field. Whatever you call this. A key. What does the key get him? Later on, if you have the key and you land on a certain square, you can open it. Sounds kind of whodunit-ish Guard is alerted Early early on Oh and the alarm has been triggered So to get back in He now has to shoot the seller Which I think is that strobing shot Oh he started TNT multiball Nice Do we know what qualified that? I don't But we may get some help from uh maybe the chat can help us out here I'm paying too close attention to who's in the chat getting kicked out of the board shoot the ramp starts TNT multiball nice that sounds uh so if the guard catches you no big deal you start multiball yeah sounds like a consequence free environment there's no jackpots but you can build time so that you can stay alive that's a good point Rich you really if you take a zero on the first game you really ought to win the second game otherwise you're counting on your fate is not in your hands anymore so he would love to win this although with a 14-1-0 scoring and the four going to Keith that's where I want to be. I want Keith taking points as a co-pilot if I'm in a final. Because you want somebody else to just steal all the points from your opponents and you just kind of slide in in second place? So in an eight situation, no one's out. Yeah, Rich, so this is the only ball because, well, I mean, I don't know if you're saying first ball, but it's time. So you can't really say it's his first ball or his last ball or what. He is now in seven death. Right. This is his last ball. As soon as he drains, he's done. That is it. Unfortunately, he looks maybe not so psyched. There's a question as to which round this is. This is the second round, so that is the quarters? Quarterfinals, yep. Get Escher's score with the dollar sign and everything, look at that. That's not his take home for the weekend, but it could be. If he wins high stakes and the main. You cannot assault the vault. I don't know if we made that clear. So if anyone brought their own token in, they can't put it into the machine and play assault the vault instead. game is also, I don't think, dispensing tokens so they don't fly down the playfield and distract you while you're playing. Yeah, you're right, Rich. So he's done. He's got 1.128 and we've got that over here. Alright, so Adam McKinney is stepping up next. He's been playing a lot of pinball this weekend. as is everybody. It's going to be interesting to see if he takes a different approach to the game. You know, in that first little bit when you have your time. There are other things to do in this game, but mostly just trying to get into the light your locks and get into the vault is what people are doing. But, you know, there's like the teller who can give you things. But with the collect wheel value lighting locks right away, and that's a good thing to do. Goes right into the scoop, gets the lock lit, hits the lock, and that's a perfect start right there. Well, so this is the thing. This is why other players were just not flipping for a while. Because during multiball, you're going to build your time back up. So, in this situation, it's probably safer just to get in, but in a qualifying format, take your first 50 drains or whatever before you start your multiball. because you're going to build it back up. Yeah, if you're just joining in, this is Ryan Wenger of Common Pinball fame and hailing from Colorado. And Ian Herwer of apparently Canada fame. That's right. It's one big, lovely place to be. No, thanks, Neil. All right, so Adam has been caught by the cyber dog. and either disable the dog or we can get into TNT multiball. Right, so you've got both lights flashing on the scoop there. What's that going to mean? So that defeats the dog. So now the dog's disabled and you're back into the board to continue. And if you hit the cyber dog later, it won't trigger on that cell. The dog is different than the guard? Yeah, they're just other things that can catch you. And so why do they want to advance here versus quitting? Build your stash. Build your... That's how much money you collect when you leave the game? Yeah. Okay. When you make it in... Like, if you make it into vaults, you can cash that out, and it sets your jackpot value, what your stash is. So you can see at the bottom, it says shot lit for 140, and that's what he had in the stash. And there's not much of a ball save. Oh, boy. Or is there? Still in multiball. I don't know what indicates it, but there is a bit of a ball save. There's a jackpot, $140,000. And now does he have to do something to relight the jackpot? Yeah, it's the shot on this shot here. Okay, which he just had one fall in there, so it's free lit. There's another jackpot. This is looking good here. He's got lots of time. Sort of, he's probably at about as much time as he started the game with. Yeah, that was a pretty good build up to that multiple to get back. and nope it's it's one of these things you drain and you your natural reaction is to be upset yeah it looked like he was upset and then he realized what game he was playing ATM card doubles the ATM value from 20k to 40 what is the ATM card that's the thing that was it what he got as an award and he has his lock again so now I forget which entrance he took in the first time. The sewer? Wow, I love that. Just bounce over and backhand right up in there. Oh, sorry, that was his lock. So now it's locked. So he has the roof and the sewer available. Oh, yes. That says which one he has used, but I can't read it because it's blurry. it's seller he is the seller now he is yeah okay so he has the seller in the main door lit got some time as possible i mean it's looking like he's in a great shape to pass escher here wouldn't you say uh yes definitely now that he has uh entered back in unless he gets really unlucky on this There you go. There's the 2x payout on the ATM. Collect your items. What, 20 extra K? I mean, boom, does it again. OK. That was getting to that multiball And now why wouldn he maybe go a little further I would have pushed I would have pushed myself Because he just trying to avoid the red ones That's it, right? Yeah. But, you know, maybe this is just a pass Escher. Yeah. Make sure he passes Escher. Make sure he gets this multiball. Would he have gotten credit for two jackpots there with two balls in a row off the rim? I don't think so. He needs to relight it. Right. So he has relighted now. And he just backhanded right in there. Got it right away. Passed Escher. And we did get that relight because the ball had, there was actually a ball heading into it. He immediately got the relight. Oh, beautiful backhand for the relight. Okay, he has, no, it was too fast. Oh, it's the spinner, not the position. Good job. There we go. So that's the relight. He is loving that backhand. Yeah. Yeah. This is solid play. This is how you play safe cracker multiple. And like we said, we said 1.5 would be a very solid score. He is at 1.5 now, and he's still going. So with his incredibly skilled, controlled play during that multiple, well, it was on the fly, but he didn't build that much time because he didn't spend a lot the balls were actually like avoiding the add time areas and the the jackpots do add time but there were other places he's going to start to get close down here it's getting harder and harder to get back in Flashing up targets too late lock. Now when it's in the pops, are you, oh boy. He's, that's going to be his last stream. Sudden death. Let's get some time. Oh. That's why you want to be up there. Because when you, once it goes to sudden death, you can't add time, right, and get out of Sudden Death. Now he's in Sudden Death. So as soon as he drains, that's going to be the end. Let's see. He needs to get that lock. This is no longer being helpful to him. Points. $11,000 at a time. Ooh. Get away, that's $11,000. I guess you didn't really want that, probably. I didn't want that. Jeez. But that is a solid game. So, uh... 4x'd his ATM visits. And got a free game out of it. 2.2. That is a solid game. That would have been... That would have been fifth place in qualifying. Wow. Which is... Again, I love the fact that in finals people raise their game. It's like... It's a little different in the card format because there were probably some voided strong scores. It could be. For sure. Because you don't want to bleed yourself. so if you don't know this year has a different had a different format than the past you uh like the old papa format where you would have a card and you had to submit five games as a unit and then if you wanted to play a new card you could do that and but any card that was submitted those scores counted so you could be working against yourself You could knock yourself down, you could knock other people down, even if your card wasn't better than the previous one. Overall, submitting it has impacts. I think the strategy the really strong players tended to do as well, either qualify on their first card, or they would continue to vote. They'd pick the five games they wanted and have a target score in mind. and void until they hit that so that they weren't hurting themselves because it's not just that as the decision is an early you could have an early card lead your late card all right so Jason sitting at two points after the first game which is a nice place to be you know it's not for but that's what you You want to be getting those first and second place. Let's see what he can do on Safecracker. If you're just joining us, this is the 2019 InDisc Main Division, sponsored by Color DMD. I was going to say Colorado, because it's a lot of the same letters there. This is Ryan Wenger, and with me is Ian Harrowick. I forgot your last name for a moment. and this game too of the quarterfinals we're watching Safecracker which is an unusual game because it's time rather than a certain number of balls and so nobody looks particularly concerned when they drain you can watch their faces they're just like alright I'm gonna plunge no big deal yeah you know no need to it's actually it's almost better to let it drain them to waste time doing nothing down below. Yeah, you can gain time up top in bumpers. Now, he hasn't taken his wheel value. He's probably just building. He can just build. The play field features do do a bunch of other things, but now that his time's starting to get kind of low, he probably wants to be getting that wheel value. Oh, boy. He's going to be in sudden death here. His lock is lit, so... He needs to hit that lock, and that is... He's still got a little bit of a... Gained a few slivers that allowed him to survive that. Okay. Nice. Got some more. Here we go. Click wheel. Sorry, the women's Final Four will be broadcast immediately when this round is over. So after Safecracker, we have one more game, and then we'll be moving to that. So TNT multiball, which can get him time back. Yeah, it says five minutes out. Although, so he can get himself to continue to play. That's just his purpose. Check that out. Thank you for that Bell's Pinball PDX. If you're in Sudden Death and you get multiball, each ramp hit gives you ten time gains. So, alright, we hadn't seen anyone else cradle up yet In this game This is the first cradle that we've seen Those are short flippers to have two balls on Yes So it's seeming like He's got some time to play with now So he's back in an okay state can get himself onto the game board. Up on the top of the cabinet there, the backbox, there's a board, a game board with spots you can move around, roll dice. Oh, that was very close. As the display says. It was a close call, meaning if you had drained one second later, you'd be walking away from the machine right now. So that was a grace period, with a special animation, I think. That's great programming. All right. Okay, so he has this red thing lit. What does this mean right now? There's three entrances to the game. So he's got... He just entered through the roof, which is this up here. So he just skill-shotted that as an entrance in. So down at the... Well, we'll let him play the board. What's he going to pick here? Fast or slow? I don't know that it matters because of the software settings. Okay. I'm not convinced. Move one spot. ATM. Are you just getting the ATM bonus every time? Well, when you land on certain... Some of them are ATM cells. Some of them are ATM, I think. But, yeah, land on a dollar sign. It lets you extract from the ATM. Guard has been alerted, so that will trigger the guard. the guard is coming from a fairly close distance here. Five alarms. And so there we go. That's great. He escaped. Back into the game board here. Escher's over here watching nervously, hoping he doesn't get passed. You can see the scores of the previous... Oh. You can see the scores of the previous players right here, because we're playing this one player at a time. So, yeah. As many drains as you want, as long as you still have time. He has run out of time, so he's in such debt. Too nice. That was a perfect roll of two to avoid those two red things. Guard's pretty far behind. He actually should get to the vault here, I think. I push it. Push it. Nah. I wanted to see that. A lot of head shaking going on over here by the booth. I guess the real trick would be, is Escher excited that he took it? He's got two jackpots already. We're getting over 100k each. oh well maybe it was the right decision because he's one away from passing Escher here yep looking pretty good one ramp shot and here we see that the Wardrick safe cracker cradle nice back in on the fly yes into the spinner or the relight all right back down to single ball play no he's got a lot of of work to do. Didn't build much time, but he's alive. Well, oh, he does have time. I thought we got into sudden death. He did, but he got out of it in TNT. Okay. Oh, no, he got out of that multiball. Yeah. During the multiball you're building value. Ah, okay, so you can get out of sudden death. Yeah, you can get out of sudden death. Oh, we got another close call. Another close call. Oh, my God. Wow. Close call is when the moment that your timer is running out you drain and give it back to you. Alright, so what's he at now? Checking his bonus. He's checking his ATM visits because that's where your bonus is and that will not be enough. Enough for what? Like he would pass Adam? Yeah. It's a lot of bonus. Yeah, I guess so. Yeah, I think a lot of players felt like Safecracker was an interesting choice for qualifying because not everybody would know the best way to play it. But it's safe. In the card format, it is so safe because of being timed. You have a guaranteed duration and getting the multiball there. It's not that hard. you could put up a million reasonably reasonably easily. It's on a lot of cards. I think that does eliminate Escher. He can at most one point. Yeah. And... Well, no. He's not eliminated. Going into game three, if Keith wins, then we're... If Keith has eight. Here, he just needs Keith to take points. I think even if he takes a zero here, then he could take a four. Alright. Let's see. Any chance Keith is going to do something crazy that we haven't seen? No. It's always a possibility. He has locked already. He is not wasting any time. He is just going in. So yeah, as I said before, these lights down here, even though I can't get my telescope there to clear right now, will show you which entrances are available. And I'm going to just clutter up the board if I draw where all of the entrances are. which you can see them with the flashing lights. So one of them on the building in the center, one of them on the roof, which you can still shot. And then he just went into the roof there. So he will enter through the roof. Can you press escape? Can you press escape? What? Can you press escape on the keyboard? Alright, so let's see how Keith does on the board here. Oh, a bribe. He pays his bribe. So this is like, we were talking about this at lunch. Like, this is a game where you can actually lose points. Because you can bribe the guard, and some of those guards ask for a lot of points. But it's worth it at that point in the game. So he's being chased by the dog. I think that that drain failed the re-entry and failed the multiball. So he did not get the multiball on his first entry onto the bank. Okay. So Keith is just trying to build back up, get the locks relit. He's definitely lost probably over half of his time already. Yeah, not getting to play that multiball is going to be problematic. But he can still get in here. This is, you know, build up time in that upper play field. I think it's the drop target to qualify the lock. He's skill draining. That was a skill drain. I should hope so. He lifted up the wrong flipper. That is the don't accidentally qualify the play field on Adam's family flipper lift. And we will be switching over to women's coverage right after this game for anyone who is waiting around for that. Thank you for being patient. Game over. He did not get the... Wow. The Werdrick timing down on when to drain. Wow, this is... Man, Keith is not actually having a great round. Even though he did win Baywatch, it was kind of a low score. He's lucky to be in a position here to advance, I would say. So I sure needed Keith to take those points if he even had an out. Which, in my head, I think he did. But now he does not have an out. So I'm not sure if he's out. I'm not sure if he's out, I believe. And we will be switching over to women's, which means Carl has a lot of work to get the wireless rig going. This is a pretty incredible setup here. So you can't see it, but what we're looking at in front of us is a, I don't know, what is that, a nine-foot pole with wireless transmitters that go over to a rig. It's like his own cell tower he built in here. Yeah. Is this known to cause cancer in the state of California? I'm guessing it is. Maybe these are lead tablecloths. so if you are just joining us we are at 2019 in disc we were doing main division sponsored by color DMD we will be switching over to the women's finals I think for this will be the final four I think it will be the final four this is exciting it's the second year broadcasting the women's on the stream I like this yeah there's a lot of people in the chat that are here for that so thanks for being here yeah we have I actually don't know the status of what happened in the first round. We haven't seen it yet, so I could try to pull it up. No, you should pull that up. I know Defending Champion is back. Who won last year? Denny Peck. Oh, yeah, she's here. Her name's in the rappers. She bled out in the main at the very end as well. With us. Yes. So we are working on getting coverage set up. Carl needs to jiggle some wires and pull some cables and try to get this working again. This portable rig is actually really cool because it allows us to cover a lot more games. It's a little finicky. And so he is going to get this working. We are confident. Let's see if I can pull up the women's bracket, but I'm not sure that it's actually in the... Oh, it's not in Nevergrande? Yeah. Women's. Oh, there it is. I have it. So it looks like we are in progress here. We will... They are in the second group. Daniel Peck, Robin Masson, Kerry Wang, and Leslie Ruckman. It looks like Leslie has advanced and we have a tie break between Danny and Kerry on a game to be determined. And in the other group, which is Louise Wagensheimer We're working. There's a problem with the cameras right now. That's the only reason it's not being shown. Tracy Lindberg, Jasmine Jung and Julie Gray they are on game 3 on dialed in and they are 4433 so anyone can advance there cool in the meantime while we work on getting the portable camera rig working we can check in on where we are in the quarter finals we just watched group 1 on safecracker after 2 games we have Escher we have Escher with one, Adam with five Jason with four and Keith with four we are in group two I was just trying to Kaylee is through Kaylee has his eight points and has locked himself into the semi-finals and anyone's game with Maka, Phil and Dominic in that group. Probably Adam Lefkoff is in pretty good shape there. He's not guaranteed to go through, but it's pretty likely. Just need the point. Yeah, it looked like he... I could see from here his reaction. He tilted Cubal Wizard and then realized after tilting that all of the points are in bonus. So that did not make him very happy. but six points at this point feels pretty good. And in group three, we have Jim with four, Todd with zero, Jermaine with two, and Bowen with one. And Bowen's on the ropes. Oh, they haven't finished Baywatch yet. Looks like they have completed Baywatch. We're just not in the system yet. I can hear the dialed-in phone ringing pretty clearly for some reason. Well, that's their third game in Group 1. Oh, man, it's looking like... Well, I don't know. Carl's restarting all his cameras. He's got this thing that looks like a doorway, just a metal door frame with wheels around. Yeah, when it's working, it's set up really fast. It just sort of looks at the viewfinders on the camera. wheels it in. I didn't watch much of the finals being, the Classics finals being here, but I heard the stream was really good. And being able to watch it, you know, there were a lot of people, you probably saw the photos of, like, we're here in the commentary booth right now, and over to the side, there's a big screen for us to watch, and there's just a huge crowd of people watching that screen, which is really nice. Yeah, that's what was going on in the Classics. All the, one person me playing, the other three people in the group would be kind of crowded around the big screen. And it's live as opposed to when people broadcast their... They broadcast their stream and I actually love that experience of having the Twitch stream up live and then you drain and then you turn around and you walk over and you look up at the screen and you get to watch yourself drain again. It's such a powerful thing. Alright, the rig is working now. I'm going to echo in those things. So it's working now. So the finishing I've dialed in. I will move to the tiebreaker match once it's active. All right. And we'll watch that. All right. Do we know what the tiebreaker's on? I don't know yet. Okay. All right. And so we are in, we're taking a break from the main. So people can. From the main division. Classics is finished. We're moving on to the women's. and qualifying is still open for the high stakes is high stakes happening in between no it happens at the end after the main finals and there are people playing right now so trying to make their way in I don't know how big that pool has got to but a lot of people are buying the combo pack you could pay $100 you get one high stakes two main two classics save yourself $30 if I did math right I know you save yourself $30 but I have no idea if that was actually something like that I don't do arithmetic in my head as fast as some of the people here as a master of mathematics I earned my right to not do that
