## Transcript

This Week in Pinball, Franchilihood What do we just come in with a patreon episode this one may be actually a fairly long one exclusive just for you guys that happen to subscribe love you all just want to get on here real quick I listen to the loserkid podcast with Jersey Jack, Jack Wernary, Mr. J.J.P. himself that they did I thought it was fantastic man I like it when a company will be kind of you know transparent in this manner and do an interview like this and actually get hit with some questions that I've been wondering myself. If you haven't listened to it already, great kind of overview and everything with JJP. I think there's definitely a sprinkling of some corporate speak there that he's made. I mean, he tries to put his company in the best position and to listen to him and take him at face value. They're just a group of friends getting together, putting games out. And he kind of glossed over the fact that Toy Story 4 sitting unsold in boxes as his Godfather. Recently, there was a industry magazine that came out that listed Godfather as one of the top earners of the month. The game is a strong commercial success, particularly for the home buyer and operator, which is where he kind of was posturing that a lot of the market is going to. Regardless, he actually responded to one of my comments. I saw this result get posted and I was reading the numbers and it just said, you know, 25%, you know, at the end with no context of what that meant. So go bad pinball. They're on the up. They're on the rise. And I'm happy to have them as a collaborative partner. But great interview with the Kevin Loza Kid guys. Josh Root met in person, man. We were bunkmates for a night at Expo. Cool guy, you know, from Utah, which is a fun place. So go check that out if you haven't already. It's a cool just to hear, you know, just a casual conversation with Jack. I'd like to see more of this. I think Stern and Seth Davis could do interviews like this, where they speak to hit some of these questions that have been floating in the community as a way to engage with the fanbase. I love it. I love it. I wanted to speak that out. I'll probably include the same kind of synopsis on a podcast episode I do. I wanted to come through because of this other thing that came up, man. Have you seen the GoFundMe that that madman Donald Hopkins has put up for his Pundi Factory? COUISIGNarbeiten DC Scott Blom! It a fancy 60 level first effort game This guy in Georgia has a game that he bought It was number one that left the factory There were some play field issues with it You know, a couple of spots on the play field, three to four. There's some areas where it looks like a little bit gravelly or maybe the clear coat didn't set right or some solvent got on there or something, right? So the play field definitely has some blemishes on it. Fred I was kind of talking to both camps, you know, and so, you know, I started getting bombarded with Donald from his, uh, his problems he was having getting his issue rectified. Right. And then, you know, Andrew came in too, because we just, we talk about all kinds of stuff and he's like, by the way, this thing's going on with him, you know, uh, it wasn't really looking for advice on what to do. Just kind of venting about like what he saw as an unreasonable situation. So here's the hard part is because I'm in the middle. I don't know if you've seen the video, but I'm in the middle of I don't know for sure what's happening. But from what we know is Donald has a game with some playfield blemishes. Gravelly bits, clear coat problems, whatever, the paint didn't stick, peeled up, whatever it is. I believe that. Okay, I believe he has game number one. I believe Andrew shipped it to him. I believe there was a CPU issue and it got resolved. But as far as where did this damage occur and who's responsible for it, I have no way to kind of weigh in on that, right? It seems unreasonable for me that Pinball Adventures, who has a checklist of quality QC that they go through before they ship a game and they include that checklist in the game. I've seen them. It seems unreasonable that they would not notice this quite obvious blemish to the left side of the playfield and ship it. It also seems unreasonable that Donald would somehow have damaged this on his own. I suppose you could have dripped paint solvent or something on the playfield or acid and etched in there. The following is a work of fiction. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, is entirely coincidental. So I got kind of caught in the middle of this where like Donald was really getting at me like you need to support me and help me attack this guy online. And Andrew's like look we offered to ship him a playfield. He said he didn't know how to swap the mechanisms over and then he resorted to like name calling and threats and then they just kind of cut all contact. Which I mean this seems like something I would do too. That would be reasonable you know. You know Donald was saying that Andrew was going to send him a populated playfield something that cost about $4,000 to swap out and then send back the other one.
