And impromptu stream, Sunday night. I was planning on playing some Star Trek in preparation for a challenge match tomorrow and thought, what the heck? I didn't see anybody else active from TPN or from the Discord streaming tonight, although it sounded like they may have jumped on. And, sorry, may jump on, I should say. Not have jumped on. I just checked a minute ago and nobody else was on. So I thought I'd sneak in a little stream, play some Star Trek. And here you go. Here's what we got. Star Trek Pro, I have a bunch of, I think it's like nine different challenges tomorrow up against Zach McCarthy. So that is ZMAC and Twitch. Hold on, I am hitting all the wrong buttons right now as I try to bring up what those actually are. Here we go, bringing it up now. Okay, so we have a standard high score, a one ball with no extra balls high score, a Klingon multiball high score, a speedrun to vengeance multiball. Oh, crap. This could be interesting. It looks like Zach has already done a bunch of these and set some decently high standards on all of them, of course. Let's see. We're doing most warp ramps at nine. Okay. And I find while I'm playing this game that some of the other shots I really need to dial in is the away team and the vengeance shot. Those, the warp ramp, away team, and vengeance. Most warp ramps we just beat, because I think we hit 9 point... I don't know what it was at the end there. It was a lot. I feel like we got 9.1 twice. I don't know that I got that many warp ramps, though. Oh, that's right. So I think I have to do two pull-ups. I'm going to go take care of those really, really quick. Man. Okay. At least 9.4. Okay. I mean, I guess if I wanted to really maximize my score, couldn't I work on getting a permanent multiplier on something and then hit the heck out of that when it's got a jackpot lit? Would that make the most of it Caviel coming in with five pull And Snivy Tries sorry was that five or was that four and then Snivy Tries did the fifth Okay yep that is five pull Okay cool So yeah yeah you know no biggie So now we need to relight lock. Or we can just hit that lock, right? There's two. I really think it's a bad idea to go into Klingon multiball immediately. Like, shouldn't I do something to pump up the scores? Alright, so we got away team. And that malicious... Oh. we'll get that one back of waiting for the extra 50 tomfoolery um oh no that'll work Nice and easy to the other side. So we need to hit the light lock one more time to get into the multiball. I'll take that. Let's just bounce it. Okay, that's how you do that. Oh, but you actually have to hit the appropriate one? So we got that last one, and we're going to have to use it on ball two, I think, here. I just realized what we should do in order to get there. So, here we go. What I was trying to do is hit 9.1 on the warp, because that gets you a playfield multiplier 2x while that's happening. So I think what makes the most sense in that mode is to work on warp ramp while you're working on starting your multiball, and get it up to like 8 or 9, and then initiate your 2x playfield multiplier once you start multiballing. that I mean at least to me makes makes the the most easiest sense to kind of hack the score on that and while we were doing all of that I wasn't even paying attention but we are almost almost back into our mini wizard mode an anglerfish specifically yes and it's a pika snail that is just a giant African snail which my wife and I kind of fell in love with on pictures and my daughter said that's what she wanted the emote to be. So I guess what we can do is get back into Klingon and try a second time. Right? Right? Woo! That was very much last second. That was a quick decision there. Woo! Here we go. Left orbit. That's going to stop it. And now what we're trying to do while we're in this mode is complete all of the rollovers up top with the pop bumpers. we're getting that one back which is fine we got that, that was a freebie right there one target left We're ready for vengeance, multiball. So this was the PopCamp cover previously, and the light kind of came up through here, and it was awful, and now we have really, really cool metal ones that look, that have the insignia of the, I don't know if that's the, I am not as Trekkie, so I don't know what that is, but it's a Star Trek symbol, and those are really, really cool. And while I was in there, cleaned up a whole bunch of stuff, because you don't normally get the opportunity, unless you pull the ramps off, to clean up that area. dear jeez that was disgusting back there so really got in there with a toothbrush and I'm not that's an actual toothbrush to get in there and clean everything along the back right half um the other thing I did was the uh the plate on the warp ramp was aiming up a little bit and I think it was occasionally stopping the ball from making the uh the left ramp because it was kind of tagging it and sending it a little one direction to the other. So I lifted the left ramp up. I didn't take it off, but I lifted it up and bent that ramp down. There's this little piece of metal right here at the base of it. So this is a ramp right there, and there's a little piece of metal, sheet metal, and I just bent that down a little bit so that way when I put the ramp back on, it was going to be flush with the play field. and flippersnapper is hats off a fish or a chameleon or something else entirely flippersnapper that is a chameleon not a fish you did identify it though i think no wait you weren't there for that it was uh what was uh flippersnapper what was the one that you guessed correctly did you guess the dabbing narwhal uh i can't remember but you ended up winning, I think, a Translight for guessing it correctly. And that's also why it was. Okay, it was the dabbing narwhal. Great. And that's a modded emote right there. And Flipstream coming in with my very first emote. I got three emotes made. That guy right there, which is the, it's a reference to Hitchhiker's Guide from the Galaxy which is, there's a scene in Hitchhiker's where there are two missiles heading toward the, I forget what the name of the ship is now something with gold and it has the impossible, the improbability engine in it it's the heart of gold or the something of gold somebody's going to know what the name is and be like you can't possibly be Fliptronic spoilers it is the heart of gold okay cool that's the name of the ship and as the missiles are coming towards it it engages the improbability drive which is great because all kinds of crazy things happen and when they turn it off the two missiles get converted into a flower pot and a whale and because they're close enough to the world of mega something which is the world where they build worlds they start falling towards the planet. Now, unbeknownst to the people, the characters in the book, the flowerpot and the whale kind of have a conversation amongst themselves. And the whale is defining it. At that time, between when it starts falling and before it hits the ground, it's defining its own language. And then it starts thinking of, ah, I wonder, this thing that's just rushing towards me. I love it. This sensation is wonderful. I think I'm going to call this air. Yeah, that's right. That's that sounds good. We're going to say that this stuff rushing to air that's rushing towards me. I made a bad purchasing decision earlier, but it was for my stream, so how do you explain that one? Button Brigade, you make it tax-deductible. That's what justifies it entirely. So once you get to the point where you are an affiliate with Twitch, and Twitch will hold back basically all of the subs and the bits and stuff like that, and the advertising stuff. So you also make a little bit of money on commercials that get run while people are watching your stream. And the first time you get a paycheck, that is the first time that you can legally say, like, set up an LLC and set up a business. and then you can deduct all of the purchases made for the stream. So if you were looking for an actual response to that question, you can deduct and ultimately get back or not have to pay, I think, what, like 20% to 25% of the purchase price of the equipment ultimately becomes income you're no longer taxed on. I have been wanting, I'm going to go back here. I have been wanting to upgrade the playfield camera. So I've got a Sony a6400 over here and that's got a really cool lens that does the bokeh effect in the background, which is why I am in focus, but the stuff behind me is not in focus. It's a little blurred. Sometimes people have said that it looks like I'm on a, I've got a green screen, except the stuff behind me is animated, whatever. So I've got a CX-405, which is a Sony Handycam on the play field, which does a really, really good job. But Manu, who is MPT-3K, and I did a second string Silver Ball stream cast where we essentially just, it's a stream of how to stream pinball. And we went over four different cameras and we used the A60 on the play field. And we used the CX-405 and compared it side by side with the A6400, a Razor Keo, and a C920. And we messed with all of the different lighting conditions, and the CX-405 and the A6400 looked good. The A6400 looked amazing. And I had used the A6400 one other time before, but I don't think I don't think we had keyed in the settings on it properly to get the same kind of fluid, high-color video that we saw that night on the a6400. So that got me thinking, and I held back for, I want to say at least a month, but I snagged a really good deal on an a6000 from Sony. and I already had my A6400 came with an existing lens, which is this guy here. And this is an 18 to 135 millimeter 3.5 to 5.6 f-stop lens that just is like the base one that comes with Sony. And it looks amazing. The problem is I didn't know that it doesn't, you can't power it up and use it at the same time without kind of hacking it. And they make a battery that goes in here that the battery is always connected to power so it never runs out and it just stays on all the time. So that is, that's what's holding me up. I had this, I already converted everything over today to switch over to using this camera and then found that issue out so I had to take it all down and rewire everything. The wires are in really bad shape over here. There's just a bunch thrown on. It looks really, really awful. So anyway, nice camera, Fliptronic. Hearts, right? And that was from Fliptronic, who is using the A6000 currently and not running into any issues. So that was a huge recommendation from Fliptronic that I am super excited about, because I want a little bit nicer of a camera on the play field if possible. And YouTube Watch. Oh, nice, MPT3K linked. If you guys are interested at all in streaming, MPT3K has a YouTube station and a playlist where it has all of the second stream, second string streams that we have done. I had to order a battery that has a power connection built into the battery because the A6000 has no way to be charged simultaneously through USB or through whatever the power connection is on it. I have a data blocker slash bit blocker that doesn't work, and I looked up online, and sure enough, the only way to use it at the same time is with a battery that has a, it's like a battery slash AC adapter, which is also how Fliptronic is using it. I kind of fell in love. I thought that was a great way to show information without it becoming too much on the screen. He has already put up a bunch of decent scores for nine different challenges on Star Trek. So, and I'll go through what the challenges are right now, which is high score standard, extra balls count. High score, one ball with no extra balls. high score during Klingon multiball and just the Klingon multiball value, speedrun vengeance multiball, most warp ramps, speedrun a level three completion, most modes completed, Kobayashi Maru high score, and you get three different attempts there, and most level three completions, the tie of that being high score. So Paul and Snow have my Jurassic Park Pro, and we are switching back here in about maybe three weeks, and they're going to come back and pick up their attack from Mars.
