## Transcript

Today on the channel we have a Marvel Super Hero themed arcade build to talk about and I think you guys are going to enjoy this one. Yes, yes. Also, fun fact, reviewing this thing was literally one of the first YouTube videos I uploaded ever so, kind of, full circle moment. ladies and gentlemen is the Rec Room Masters 32 inch extension sit down arcade cabinet now it maxes out about right at five foot tall it is about three foot wide and it is very you know form-fitting for your home environment it's not gonna take off the same kind of footprint as a full-size traditional arcade cabinet but it's also not something you know that's minuscule and tiny if you're familiar with the Japanese you know view licks and true licks type of systems this is gonna be very familiar to you in fact record even offers traditional candy cab style seating that you know go with this which is perfect for the the form factor and just the sit down experience i've got two of them right here very easy to you know put together literally just two screws nice uh thick padded seat uh no cigarette burns which is really cool but you know it's not that truly japanese arcade experience if there isn't cigarette burns in the seat sit comfortably two people side by side like i said three foot wide cabinet here and as with everything in life there is some assembly required you will have to put this together yourself everything ships out flat pack very sturdy thick cardboard everything was like over strapped together a nice thick bubble wrap inside i didn't have any issues with any of the panels or anything showing up damaged so they do an excellent job of making sure it arrives to you safe and sound then once you start putting it together they've got very Detailed instructional videos on their website as well as YouTube that you can follow along piece of cake Putting the whole cabinet together is actually an easy experience. I did it by myself with the artwork installation and Little under two hours You got a buddy or an extra pair of hands helping you, you know, set things up and hold things You're gonna cut that time down significantly, but all you really need is a screwdriver and an allen wrench You don't need any fancy power tools or anything like this. It's very simple easy to put together basically you're going to assemble the base portion once that's completed you're going to put on the top section connect those two pieces together and then last but not least you're going to mount your monitor now one thing to note this does not come with a monitor and kind of choose your own it'll fit a 32 inch monitor which is what John Youssi inside here and you can spend as much or as little on a monitor as you wish in fact record masters have different you know price point options on their website they can suggest for low medium high expensive monitors. You can just throw a cheapo in there, or you can throw something super fancy and expensive It really just kind of depends on what you looking to play what your budget is a unique thing about the artwork from rec room masters is that it comes kind of pre and it very easy to install it like said to a fine tee in the smallest increments and details of how precise they've cut this normally when you buy artwork you get this giant roll of vinyl and it's got overhang and everything you slap it on your cabinet and then you trim it with the exacto knife you don't have to do that you just literally line this up it's already got pre-cut holes for where everything mounts together on this machine and then you simply apply it and it's a piece of cake since all the wood is smooth the brand new and everything all you have to really do is wipe it down make sure there's no dust or debris under it and then bada-bing it's literally one of the easiest installations the control panel itself shows up one piece all pre-installed basically just plug it into whatever you're using so if you're using an Xbox a PlayStation in my case a mini PC literally just connecting two USB connections and then you're good to go go everything's pre-configured but you can of course change the customization the button layouts depending on what you're using i like the fact that everything is pre-installed on the control panel it's just one less thing to mess with one less headache you literally just drop it in plug it in and you're good to go got illuminated buttons here which is nice actual sandwall controls on this pro controller you can get different options out there so if you want a track ball you want different control setups you want a spinner you want six buttons instead of buttons you can go that route choose whatever control panel you like you know best suits your needs but for fighting games all the way up to modern fighting games this pro controller is the way to go traditional sanwa japanese style layout as well as controls so everything's top of the line no knockoff stuff here inside of this this has the brooks fighting boards that are compatible all the way up to playstation 5 so you can connect this to your xbox your playstation a Nintendo Switch, a PC, you name it, this thing is ready to go. Everything is wired, pre-configured, very easy to work on if you want to get under there and change things like the restrictor gates, and you can change out the button colors if you don't like the gray that is on here, but they have different options, loads of options galore, and that's kind of why I love Record Remastered so much, is that they allow you to customize arcades specifically to suit your needs. You don't get stuck with certain things that you didn't really care for, And one of the better selling features I think of using the Pro Controller is the ease of use. Specifically if you're more of a novice modder, just kind of getting your toes into the water. This is much easier to set up and configure because basically all you're going to have to do is plug this control deck into your Xbox, your Nintendo Switch, your PlayStation 4, 5, what have you. And then you're good to go. Whereas in my case we're using a mini PC. There's a lot of customization I have to do set up to make all the different emulators perform and you know the buttons work Whereas if you just using the console the PlayStation the Xbox and Tim a switch you just plug it in and you good to go For those fighting games So keep that in mind if that something you interested in if you want a traditional kind of sit experience you want those high arcade fighters at your fingertips but you don want the headache of setting everything up on a computer or a Raspberry Pi well this is what you need some of the cool design features on the sit-down arcade is that we have a storage compartment underneath complete with locking you know kind of cabinet hinges here so we're gonna gently push it opens the door both sides and underneath you're gonna see a rat's nest of wires because I haven't cleaned anything up but basically we have a storage shelf and is adjustable you can raise it up lower it depending on how much space you need but there's plenty of room like I said you can put a console under here a PlayStation Xbox a full-size PC I've got a mini PC keyboard and mouse and everything because I'm still kind of configuring things lots of room down here I mean you could put you know your games whatever so if you got a massive you know PlayStation or Xbox collection you want to connect that system to this arcade cabinet you can store your games under here and then nice and tidy just close it up and no one's the wiser that you've got you know everything hidden under there so it's great use of space on the backside machine is completely open to the elements so keep that in mind if you plan on putting this in the middle of a room or whatever it'd look a little hokey because everything is exposed uh the back top portion of the arcade is actually what would be touching the wall first it's kind of got a little Z shape but it's a little extended more towards the back so this is a nice resting area for it nice flat space and shelf on top if you want even more storage in the back here I've got my speakers mounted and we used the rec room masters ones they came with this nice amplifier very easy to put together just literally wire up your speakers connect it speakers sound good they're branded rec room masters which I thought was a nice touch they even had you know a little branded rec room masters speaker rings and if you don't like that there's you know just solid black ones that you could go the only gripe here I have is you know our amplifier for our speakers is a little tiny micro and then for whatever reason you know the power itself is twice the size so that's a little bit of a nuisance but other than that I mean this thing the speakers sound great the amplifier works well and then lower down here this is our light for our illuminated marquee the marquee itself is all enclosed here in the back so you're not going to have light bleed out the sides or anything and there's a nice little toggle switch here so you can change it between warm and cool colors so depending on whatever artwork you have maybe you need a little you know more vibrant color spectrum you can easily toggle it and then if you turn them both off turns the light box off completely so another thing i want to highlight is the way they have this super modular kind of customizable mounting solution for your monitor tv or whatever you're using basically this bracket allows the tv to push forward backwards and then we've got traditional invasive mounting holes and we also have these slots that allow and line up for multiple different patterns of installation but basically you screw those into the back of your monitor or TV and then you can adjust it up and down Like I said you can tilt it forward and backwards So you're really gonna get that thing positioned extremely well. It's a nice thing because this also comes with a nice little acrylic sheet of plexiglass to go in between the monitor. That way you don't have to worry about getting your monitor super dirty and scratched. Another great feature is besides the plexi here, we also have this monitor shroud that goes around and kills any kind of space or light bleed that you would have after you've installed your monitor. It goes all the way around, fits exceptionally well. There's nice little groove slots inside the cabinet there, so everything's kind of locked in place. And it really helps you kind of fine-tune where you're positioning and mounting your monitor. That way you have that super nice, clean, uniform look. At the end of the day, I think Recruit Master did an amazing job with this sit-down 32-inch arcade cabinet. Now, if you need something bigger, they also have a pedestal option out there, which basically eliminates the entire top half here and replaces it with a larger monitor, so you can go like 42 inches and have even more screen real estate should you need it. But basically, it still utilizes the same bottom half and same kind of control layout and setup there. And again, you still have those options. If you don't like the eight-button setup, you can get a different controller with a trackball. You name it. you customize it whatever way John Youssi fit as far as pricing this starts at about a thousand dollars which is more than fair especially if you've ever you know priced out and thought about you know importing a Japanese Vuelix or a Chulix style arcade cabinet you'll realize those are significantly more expensive for pretty much the exact same design aesthetic and layout so this is definitely the way to go specifically like I said Rec Room Masters they know what they're doing they've been around for years uh they've got top tier quality customer service so if for whatever reason something did show up damaged in shipping they'll get a replacement part out to you piece of cake like i said they've been around the block this is no you know fly by night company they've stood by their products for many many years they've got an amazing reputation and i think they have another amazing hit on their hands uh the only thing left i think is to see if maybe they'll do a you know a vertical arcade cabinet in the future so fingers crossed guys let me know your thoughts and opinions down in the comments below. What do you think about this sit-down arcade cabinet from Rec Room Masters? Are you a fan of it? Do you like the traditional more stand-up larger size extension arcade that they offer or would you like to see them do something else in the future? If you enjoyed the content make sure that like button, share this video with your friends if you found the information helpful and as always thanks for watching guys it really means a lot. Thank you.
