## Analysis

Danni provides an extended tutorial and gameplay walkthrough of the Stern Aerosmith Premium pinball machine, demonstrating various modes, multiball strategies, and scoring techniques across a 5-ball game set to extra balls on. She discusses competitive vs. casual play approaches, specific mode rules (Rats in the Cellar, Lovin' an Elevator, Sweet Emotion, Toys in the Attic), and ultimately reaches the mini wizard mode before draining, finishing with 450 million points. The video emphasizes learning the game's fundamentals and mode progression rather than optimal competitive strategy.

### Key Claims

- [HIGH] Aerosmith Premium is where Danni's tutorial teaching began after Bo and Karen invited her to do a 60-second tutorial — _Danni directly states she was invited by Bo and Karen to do tutorials, initially on this game, then later did two Aerosmith tutorials on Spooky Pinball Podcast_
- [HIGH] In competitive play, Danni's strategy is to select Sweet Emotion and repeat it for points, then play random modes while building toward Toys in the Attic multiball — _Danni explicitly describes her competitive strategy early in the video_
- [HIGH] The lock shot on Aerosmith is hard to hit 'no matter what people say,' despite players claiming otherwise — _Danni states this directly: 'it actually is hard to hit the ramps on this game no matter what people say'_
- [HIGH] Six-ball multiball is worth significantly more points than three, four, or five-ball multiball on Aerosmith — _Danni explains the multiball progression mechanics and emphasizes targeting six-ball for maximum value_
- [HIGH] Danni has never completed Lovin' an Elevator multiball or gotten the super jackpot on it — _Danni states: 'I don't think I'm ever completed it. I don't think I'm ever gotten the super jackpot on it.'_

## Transcript

Hi friends, welcome back to another DannyTeachers. Today I am here with my little ice chocolate in a can and to play Aerosmith. Aerosmith is where my tutorial sort of teaching all began. Bo and Karen invited me to do a 60 second tutorial on it or on a game of my choosing and I chose this game at the time and then I I did two different Aerosmith tutorials on the Spooky Podcast for all of you OG fans. And now we're here to talk about it. So today, I've set the game to five balls and extra balls on, just as default, because I wanted to be able to show off the whole game. Really, I don't think there's too much to this game in the way of competition. Because if you play... I'll tell you how I played in competition, right? I would select Sweet Emotion and keep playing Sweet Emotion for the points until I complete it. and then just keep choosing random, you know, modes that I feel like playing whilst building towards the multiballs, particularly the Toys in the Attic multiball. So not that exciting. So instead, I'm just going to do a normal playthrough of the game and we'll have some fun with it. Hopefully, because I've set it to five balls, it's not normally set to that. It's normally set to tournament play, but here we are. My goal is to sort of get to the end of the game and show that off if I can. But we'll see how we go. Alright, I'll jump into the game in just a little bit after I hydrate. So, cheers, grab yourself a drink, and let's roll that footage. Alright, I'm going to start today with Rats in the Cellar because Rats in the Cellar is a really nice mode to warm up. because you'll see how it works, but it basically alternates left, right, left, right, and that's just a nice way to sort of get into the game. Alright, I'm gonna soft plunge for the lock shot for our skill shot. Let's try and do that. Okay, I over plunged, but what it's gonna do, it's given me one of my orbits that goes towards my elevator lock. You can see the other one lit on the orbit that I just tried to hit and, like, totally missed, but that's okay we got a toy box and then the lock that was a bit accidental there um because i was playing the game earlier and i haven't let the game reset there's already a ball in there which is why i got a virtual lock there so i'm going to try and shoot crank it up and the mode shop there perfect so what crank it up does it gives you 500k and then gives you more points per shot of the mode it just boosts the mode value basically um So what you want to do as well, the amount of shops you get in the mode dictates whether you finish it of course, but it also dictates the value of the post-mode, like super scoring modes. We'll get there when we get there. Let's focus for now on trying to just finish the mode. left right left right let's oh I was going to try and combo the ramps do a bit of a walk this way kind of vibe but instead I got the orbit which is good because you can see now that my elevator shot is lit with the lock for our elevator multiball and I've got my third lock lit for the toy box just by playing around in this mode so there's my first lock for elevator multiball and the ball It's sort of a safe shot, just be careful when it comes out here to get under control. Shot the toy box again, and now we've got four locks lit for that multiball. Close pass there to get... Whoa! I was trying to get another shot there, but it didn't quite come to fruition. I've got three shots to finish the mode. I don't think I'm going to quite finish it. Oh yeah, no, okay, I can finish it now. So here we go, get the last shot in the mode and we have finished Rats in the Cellar. You can see at the top left of the display the progress towards the mode. Now we have to shoot the crank it up scoop per se again to select a new track. So here we've got the super spinner going so if I shoot that left, sorry, right orbit then it'll be worth some more points. So what I'm going to do here is I will go to, do I want to go for Dad or do I want to go for Back in the Saddle? Okay, I'll take Last Child and we're going to go to build up our locks for Elevator Multiball. Because if I don't consciously think about them, I tend to neglect them and not get Lovin' an Elevator Multiball started. So let's shoot that right orbit. And we have got our second lock lit for Lovin' an Elevator. I'm going to try, oh I was going to try and collect it straight away, but no! No! Oh, that was my fault there. I zigged and I should have zagged. We're going to keep going. Did that finish the mode? Okay, perfect. So we're going to plunge. Try and get that lock going there. Again, it's a soft plunge. But I under plunge every time. Okay. So I've got crank it up lit. I do want to get it at some point. It's not currently like my biggest priority. I would much rather just get the orbits going. Get some progress on the mode. Worry about everything else later. Alright. I think that's the biggest issue in this game in tournament, or just in general, is the overcomplication of stuff that doesn't need to be overcomplicated. You know, if you're focused on getting crank it up, then you might miss out on your multiball. So we've got our second lock there, and I got both of my orbits again to light the third lock, so I can sort of just bounce the ball over and get my third lock eventually when I control the ball. Again, I'm not really controlling the ball as much as I should tonight. It's been playing very squirrelly since I waxed it, so that's why I'm still not used to how it plays. We had it in New Zealand Champs and honestly the schools were quite varied on it. But in good news, we got our third lock and we are in Love in an Elevator multiball. Lovely little animation there, I love it, I think it's so cute. The man himself. Perfect! So what we want to do here is get basically one shot and then the elevator. One shot then the elevator. Keep doing the same thing over and over again. I've got Lash Child still running in the background. I could go for some orbits but I'm just not conscious of it right now because I'd rather try and get some jackpots going. I really struggle with this multiball, which sounds sort of funny because how could you struggle with it? I just find that I have... I don't think I've ever completed it. I don't think I've ever gotten the super skillshot on it. Super skillshot? What? Super jackpot on it. Sorry, misspeaking there. And good thing is we have got our first extra ball I believe that one I got that extra ball by getting the secret no shot sort of bonus So if you shoot shots that are not lit in a mode it builds towards an extra ball like a ward That might not make sense. But basically, for example, in Last Child, you've got your orbits, right? If you shoot, like, not the orbits and stuff that's not lit on the middle of the playfield, and you get five of the little awards that I will circle up here on the back of the display. It's just a little bonus, and it will give you... Oh no, I got a little bit of moisture on there. Hopefully it doesn't come off. Okay, I don't think the camera caught it. That's okay. But I can see it. annoying! Can I get it off? Ah! Technical errors. Basically you get these like secret awards for shooting non-mode shots that build towards your multiball on default. So what we're gonna do now, we've sort of got Love in an Elevator started but didn't finish it. Same with Last Child, we didn't finish it. I'm not gonna restart Last Child, I'm just gonna move on to a different mode and try and make it to the mini wizard mode because life's hard enough as it is and I don't want to make it more difficult got my water here um so how am I going to do this my hand's sweating I might try and roll it and backhand it not quite enough all right here we go so shot the scoop there and we're going to choose I'm going to choose, I'm going to risk walk this way. I suck at this mode now. I used to be like a big proponent for it because I used to be able to combo the ramps really well. Can't now, but we're going to give it a go. So I'm going to try and get the ball straight into control and back into the scoop to crank it up. Boom, got the 500k. Everything sort of becomes lit to progress the mode because it actually is hard to combo the ramps on this game no matter what people say. I say as I combo the ramps! Oh no, not quite enough to get it while it was still comboing. Did I get enough to finish the mode? No, not quite. Quite a few mode shots required up there. You can see the timer counting down from 60 each mode you get 60 seconds for each and here you want to hit the button on the lockdown bar whoa the ball must almost to abort your multiple because if you can you want to try and go for a six ball multiple because it is worth way more points to go to six ball multiple then three ball four ball or five ball multiple. Um, alright. Sorry my nose has flared up. Oh my gosh my allergies. No, I could never. No, antihistamines on deck so apologies for any snuffles that may occur. Boom, let's get some more combos. Whoa. Okay, we didn't quite finish it. We were one shot away, but that's okay. The game is counted as finished because I got cranked up and drained with the mode in play. Not bad. Not bad. Not the worst I've seen. Alright. Bonus time. I'm just gonna sniffles. Ugh. Please pardon me. Ugh. Alright. We're good. We're good. Pause has been taken. What do I want to do? Just to show you as well, so walk this way has been counted as complete so I could not choose to play the game again it'll skip it on the screen and go straight to last child which I could replay but again I'm not going to replay anything I'm going to keep moving on how close are we to multiball okay we're pretty close to multiball we've got all six locks lit as you can see because it's in front of the toy box there they're all lit up up to six I'm going to really try and focus on plunging for the locks because you can do that and that is a really easy way to start things. Oh, I over-plunged! Over-plunged! So, let's get the locks. And abort each time up until the 6th and then we will start a 6th ball. Oh, I keep over-plunging! It's okay. I can go for crank it up while the ball's in this flipper and take the mystery. what's going on here what's the mystery all right vip parcel it that's our little ball save there all right let's go for the lock i really wanted to flug it but no not today let's get that lock perfect so we are on lock five it's going to give us a chance to abort which we will let's try plunge no it didn't quite plunge the lock there so we're going to do is hit the lock instead Perfect, alright, six ball multiball, here we go I don't think, do we have all the balls in there? I don't think so Oh yeah, we had one missing ball, so that is going to plunge out now And everything is lit for a jackpot You can get up to two jackpots on each shot, so two shots worth of jackpots So you can see that there are shots that are alternating red and green those are our mode shots. Still running throughout the multiball. If you can get sweeter motion and this multiball running at the same time, it becomes worth extra points. And it is very nice. We've got our ball going into here. Toy box there. Here we go. Woo! Okay, so we've We've got two balls in play and I believe one in the toy box? Maybe two in the toy box. It's hard to know because I'm not paying attention. That's okay. Get some more jackpots there. Get some more mode shots going. I do like to try and use the multiball to finish sweeten a motion because it's so many... Whoa! So many shots in it. So here we've just got the toy box lit and the orb. I didn't quite get it. Oh, but good thing we had ball save lit there because... two outlaying drains ah alright the amount of times I've done that tonight okay but that's okay 167 that is a good well what I like to say a good outcome for our multiball sweet emotion still going but again gonna move on from sweet emotion and try and get to the end of the game three modes to go what do I want to do next I okay controversial opinion I actually really like same old song and dance so I just gonna go for it Let plunge for our skill shot at the lock which I still am under plunging I can't find it today, but that's okay. Luckily we got it bounced into crank it up. So this mode's the only mode to involve the targets. You can see all the targets are flashing. They are worth one progress shot in the mode each. so I want to go for the actual yellow like shot obviously the targets here as you can see are progressing my mode fast but I would rather go for the double value main shot so it's on toy box there we go and you get a lot of points by shooting those shots as well uh it's on the right ramp which I don't really like that's all right I was going to try and combo that like walk away but down the middle that's okay I probably could have saved it good thing it's on five ball um because ah because I haven't finished it I can't change mode so I just got to sort of keep going and hope hope that it all comes together in the end. Alright. Boom. Not boom. Alright. So we've actually got a lock lip for our second toy box multiball, so let's actually try and shoot it. And miss it. Can I get the toy box going for some more locks? Yes I can. Whoops. I don't like to rely on it, but when you do shoot the toy box with the magnet in front of it sometimes you can hit it and it'll sort of fluke it into the lock shot for you because the lock shot is hard i don't care what any of the pros say it is hard and we've almost finished the mode we're probably like one shot away so let's it's back in the lock shot but i got it through the time i didn't quite get through the target. Sad. Ah! Bad play. Bad play. Alright. Well, the mode's timed out. I almost finished it, but that's okay. As I said, keep going and move on to your next mode. Don't look back in anger. I heard you say. Oasis there. So, what have we got? We've got back in the saddle, or dude looks like a lady. I'm going to take dude because dude tends to be worth better points just in experience it's a bit easier in mode so let's try and I'm just going to take the points and try and click it over and to crank it up very nice little combo there and let's get the ball on the flipper boom ah not under control not under control uh inlanes are lit there for mode progression and points I'll take it surprisingly low points value I always thought that the points were worth more on this mode that's okay boom let's get that progression going and try and finish this as soon as possible points are building each shot I shoot which is very nice I'll gladly take it down the side mean drain there and I'm gonna be able to select back in the saddle or will I have to continue that's my question I've got it I'm forced to continue on ball five I'm at the point now where I'm like we'll just see where we end up got our second lock lit for toy box uh I'm gonna try and get some more toy box hits while ball savers lit oh it didn't give me my third lock ah extra balls lit oh I tried to get it but we got our second lock so I'll take that instead and hopefully we can get our extra ball now. 200 million! I'm happy! 200 million is that point where I'm like, I've had a good game. Um, alright, so we've got... Oh! I actually spelt Aerosmith and got my shot multipliers lit, and it has gone onto the lock shot. Can I... I'm going to take the mode shot and flick it over into extra ball. Boom, boom, boom, Get the juices flowing. And Dude Looks Like a Lady is finished. So what we're going to do is start back in the saddle. And hope and pray. That's the key of pinball. Hope and praying. So we've got Elevator 1 lock off of the Mystery there. I will gladly take it. From finishing Dude Looks Like a Lady there, we also got Super Lanes back in the saddle. Final mode. I haven't finished the other ones, but I'm going to call it my final mode. and get the ball under control. So, it's not even really worth playing this mode, but what else are we going to do except go for toys in the attic? Which is kind of risky at this point in the game. I mean, as you can see, this is still risky. But it's fine. It's fine. I'm making it up as we go along. It's fine. As we can see, we gained some good points from the mode, so hey, may as well. And we got our lock to, for a second, love in the elevator multiball. Again, not like the biggest priority on my brain right now, but if it happens it happens. I'm not mad. I'm mad about that. Okay perfect, gotta crank it up, I'll take it. Try and catch the ball. You could hold the ball and time out the mode, but you sort of have to keep the ball and play a little bit because otherwise the timer freezes. So you can't completely just time out the modes. Alright, let's try and get that toy box shot. Ah, I didn't quite get the toy box shot. Ah, bruh, bruh. Bounce the ball. Toy box. Ah. Perfect. Got our third lock lit for another toy box. And I would... I'm... I'm doing something. So I bet the auto plunge there to soft plunge and try and keep it under control. so what I'm going to do is I'm not going to my audience is clapping in the background got our third don't abort it, you know what if it's your second one, feel free to just take it, three ball, multiball it's better than nothing, trust me as someone who has had a lot of nothing games on Aerosmith just, just take it I definitely for the first one still like going for a six ball because it is worth so much but we do what we can Please pardon me. The ice chocolate and ice tea combination has come back to bite me. I can go for the mojo as well again, back in the saddle during this, to try and finish it. But... My eyes! I've got five seconds on it. I'm not that worried about it. But that's okay. We've timed it out. So if we can just keep one ball in circulation, we can hopefully start up. mini wizard. It's taken 12 games. But it's okay. We all get there in the end Alright boom Got some stuff going Got a ball saved through the VIP pass I trying to play with some form of control and honestly I think I play worse half the time But that okay We do what we can. And boom. Got lots going on. Got some super jackpots. Oh I got the super jackpot. Love that. Keep going. Keep getting the jackpots. Boom boom boom. Lots of points in the hat. Where's that going? Here comes the yellow ball. What's it going to do? That's the one issue with getting those balls locked in the thing, is that they can sort of come out and bite you in the butt. Let's try and get under control. Tried for the orb, but it didn't happen. Let's do some juggling. I could have just gone for the ramp, actually, at this point, but that's alright. Alright, got one orb. Am I going to trick it into giving me two? No! Sometimes if you are... no that's okay. I'm not even going to speak that into existence. So what we're going to do is get the crank it up scoop. You can see it's lit. That's alright. Alright. So it's going to jump up there and we're going to hope that doesn't go straight in the middle, and I really want to just try and pluk it. I'm not getting the scoop here, but that's okay. Okay, there we go. The pressure was making me sweat. I'm actually dripping sweat but it's fine you know what we made it 12 games in ball five extra balls oh i could literally cry oh it was all worth it got the bonus for the modes that we finished here which was two of them um so here it's going to give us some shots that we need to complete to progress through the mini wizard there. So as you can see right now, it's to get the loops, which as we just saw, I struggle with, but it's okay. I'm getting the ramps instead. Use the ball save while you can. Is it going to trigger another loop? Yep, perfect. It triggered another loop by the auto-plunge. Thank you very much, game. Oh, rude of the game to do that there. Elevators. I've got to get two elevators. Just go for the elevator shot. keep it simple. Oh I got a... ball save is still going actually so I can probably be a bit more loose. I just like to sort of be mindful that it might turn off at any moment. You tend to get a healthy ball save on this one. Sweet. Got one elevator and can we shoot it for another one? Potentially. Boom. Got it. What have we got next? Some rams. How many rams have I got to get? three ramps and I drain them okay we had also lit thank you very much ball so for your generous doings there you outdid yourself ramp find the ramps get some up no we're done we're done already disappointing mellow and medley multiball there. We're still going. Can I get it done? No. Oh, did I have to get the right one? Is that my last round? Is the right one down? Boom. Got it. Oh, and it's given us another ball again for finishing that. So, got sweet emotion here. Got to get all these shots going. Four shots left. So, one of each of those shots. Please give me a toy box. And a scoop. Whoa. Right ramp. Boom. Scoop. No, not quite. Oh. Colliding. Colliding. Large hydron collider. Can I get the scoop in time there? Boom. Got the scoop. Very nice. What else have we got? That's given us another ball to finish. Toys in the attic. So I need shoot the toy box six times. Good call out there. Alright. Ah, no. Can I... Can I get the biggest airball of all time? Yes. Alright. The pots have not been helpful this game in getting my toy box. Alright, what are we doing now? Same old song and dance. Oh, I've got to get all the targets. Which isn't actually as hard as it looks. It's just annoying. I'm hoping I don't drain. Luckily it gave me a last minute ball save there. I didn't think it was going to save my ball. I feel like this is the hardest one in terms of you've got to risk it. Okay, got the E. Boom. Come on. Come on. Oh, lame. Can I backhand block it? Ah! That's okay. I still got good points out of it, so I'll take it. Oh, that's fine. That's all good. I got the shoot again. And I just gotta, I just gotta finish it. I just gotta finish it. And then we'll be at the end. Alright, let's plunge for this loco. I don't remember. Oh, yeah, sweet. I've literally got one shot to do it. good good showing there I bet you I'll do what I normally do and absolutely just ass out all right sweet let's go got the shot multiplier there Alright. Making animal noises. Okay. Screaming, crying. Let's go. I hate pinball. 450 million. But you know what? We had it lit. I hate pinball. Well, that was a bit of Aerosmith for you. Sorry that I didn't get to show you the last mode, but 450 million. Saw most of the game there. Had it lit. And hopefully that was a good little overview of the game. in between the chaos. I would like to say as well that all of those high scores were gotten on three balls, no extra ball, and I'm very jealous. So that's going to be my challenge, is trying to beat that on three balls again. But thanks for watching this super long and chaotic game. Great to see you, and see you in the next one.
