## Transcript

Damn it. There's got to be a better way to get chicks. Yeah. It's like, I really thought this one was going to work this time. Yeah. Hey Beavis, let's check out the bathroom. Sometimes they have good advice on the walls. Yeah. Cool. Coming to you from beautiful upstate New York, this is the Slam Tilt Podcast, a show about all things pinball. I'm your host Ron Hallett here with my co-host Bruce Nightingale. We're number one. We're number one. We're number one. And we're taking a number two. Oh my. Oh my. I'm trying to think how many times have I done the intro without screwing it up. I got a streak going. I think you do. Probably about 15 or 20.ed It turns out the first Godzilla is actually Mechagodzilla. Mm-hmm. Cool as hell. It's got all these weapons and Godzilla gets the shit kicked out of him in this movie. Wow. But we're number one, don't forget. We're number one? Well, who says we're number one? Actually, we've talked about on four podcasts this week. We were talked about on four podcasts. Yep. First, we were talked on Mrs. Pin. Hi, Mrs. Pin. Hi, Mrs. Pin. And Dr. Pin. Yes, hi guys. Kaneda talked about us. Said he likes our podcast. So, are you going to stop insulting him? No, no, no. I don't know if I can follow rules. But we'll get into that later. Okay. I'm actually breaking rule number one right now. What was rule number one? There was no Fight Club? Or you don't talk about Fight Club? Owner Pinball PlayersPinballPlayersPodcast Don't have our usual guests. That's a shame. Yes, it is. But it's just it's just where it all began. Yes, that's just the two of us. You and I. So what do we talk about? I don't know. I got to talk to you and you alone. Jesus Christ. I'm looking. I do have a do have a format. We do. We do. We do. We can talk about the the seven rules of pinball podcast. Paul Hampton and They All sine these items unless you watch but depending on what you do to you wouldn't even know what you're doing, what you're seeing. We'll have him on hopefully next week. But he brought out the seven rules of podcast. Yeah, I mean, we book somebody and then they go put a Facebook post out, piss a bunch of people off. I mean, it's like almost they're getting ready to be on our show. I love it. You love all this stuff, man. I do. I try to stay away from the controversy, but. Christopher Franchi's podcast is going to be called The Silver Ballers Podcast. Almost like my bar. So he stole it from you. He stole it from me. Yeah. Which rule did he This Week in Pinball, Franchiexpensiveporter Karl DeClintelo, Tanyo Klyce, JohnPopadiuk, tilt pendulum or tilt mechanism, pinball. All right, so pinball podcast tips. Before I begin, please understand that these tips are intended to help you achieve success with your show. Not to insult you if you feel like any of these tips hit close to home. They're just things your friends are afraid to tell you. Okay, already you know. They're bad. They're bad and they're going to piss people off when you have to start it with that paragraph. Well, the way I look at it right now, I already want to listen to Christopher's podcast right off the bat. Of course you do! I think he violates one of his own rules but we'll get into that. Oh okay. So number one, if you're a host or co-host of a show and talk slow and stumble over your words when drunk, avoid drinking before your show. Unless you're Martin Robbins, he can pull it off. Seriously, it's embarrassing and awful to try to listen to. Avoid alcohol unless you're the third, fourth, or fifth in the pecking order on a show. Which we have. That's our own Greg Waparelli. That will allow non-drunk people to keep the show moving. Ignore this point if the name of your show is Sloppy Boring Shit Show. I don't know of many podcasts that do that, but some do. And guess what? That's their flow. Number two, don't spend half of your show going over how was your week? No one really cares. Take three to five minutes at best. This week's topic is Pinball. Pinball is a topic that is not only used to warm up but spending 30 to 40 to 60 minutes discussing on what you did, especially if it's not related to the topic of the show, pinball, is of no interest to anyone. Stories that are funny to you and to your friends are rarely funny to the people who don't know you. I agree with that one. Do you agree with number two? Not necessarily. I'm holding my tongue. Okay. I'm holding my tongue. I agree with him on number two. Number three, don't alienate people from your show. Oh boy, that's a touchy one with us. What I mean is if you're a female, never say like something like we'd love to have you on our show if you're a woman. We prefer women. This is a show for women. Shows that you should not be for a certain group. You limit your possibility for a wider appeal and success when you alienate half of your potential audience. Also, if anyone else is like me, I get offended when I hear that. If you want to be equal, don't build a wall around your group. No past, no podcast run by men has ever said we prefer male guests only. In fact, many male podcasts show support and cheerlead women getting into the act. You don't need to point out that you're women for women by women. We can tell by your voice that you're a woman. But I'm listening to hear about pinball not to be told to shut up, sit down and shut up because I'm a male. Trust me, it's offensive even if your friends won't tell you this. I can see points on that one. And that's all I'm going to say about that. Right? Next. Next. Remember your topic is number four. It's pinball. If I'm 45 minutes into your podcast and only hear the word pinball twice, you're not doing your job right. I agree with that one totally. Pinball, pinball, pinball, pinball, pinball, pinball, pinball, motherfucking pinball and pinball. How's that? Done? Next. This is Ron's line. Number five, learn how to edit. This is key. You can remove all embarrassing comments, awkward silences and things like I hope this is recording right. Which you have been accused sometimes Ron of not editing. When have I been accused of not editing? I edit more than any other pinball podcast person. I will say that right now. Yes, sir. I think I have to be on the show. Because you had me on here. I okay, okay. I know but some people actually remember we got criticized when Zach this first Zach show. Or the second Zach show. The second Zach show with nailing the... Oh God. Yeah, let's yeah. And that is like I edited so much out of that. And literally the one thing I don't edit is the thing that gets someone pissed and like we're not listening to you anymore. And you know what I say to that? It's so fucking frustrating. Who fucking who? Number six, don't ever say you're welcome. If you run out of things to say regarding the topic, bail out and sign off. Don't milk it with boring fillers to stretch out the running time. Totally agree. I don't think we do that, so. No, the next one is us. Oh, definitely. I love this one. Chris, I'm going to say it right off the back. This is us, baby, and I live by it. Don't rip other podcasters on your show. It's unprofessional and makes you look petty and sometimes even a bit envious. Yes, really. Keep it cool, do your thing, and let others do theirs. Transl engine Letty Works This Week in Pinball Podcasts to FillMyWeek. So straightened up. And for real, don't be butthurt. Totally agree. Loved it. I guess what, number seven is probably addressed to me and I laugh about it. Here's my counterpoint. Okay. Number seven is basically what this is. Every one of these, you can pick out if you listen to enough podcasts, you know exactly who they're talking about. Or he's talking about. I would argue some of the things that perhaps he doesn't like are the very reasons some people may like podcasts. These podcasts. They might like the fact that they talk about other things or the way they do it might be the thing that they like. To say that like you need this to be successful, I think it should have been more worded you need these things to be a podcast I want to listen to. Yes, I agree.ंᵒᴇοᵇᵍʞᵘᴋᴛ No lol Oh I... This would've went much better if Chris was actually here.gorges SrxlA empire. But uh guess what. I laughed about it. The whole email, and a thread afterwards you know, the comments about it. I laughed about it. Chris it was great.ации I Gmachen I beat you. I remember you hitting me from the top. We're a million drivers right now so go hook me up in a I. Yeah, but uh, I guess what. I laughed about it. This whole Email, and, lessly keyboardslines about it. I was like, saying, you know, sometimes when you do what you're supposed to. I laughed about it, Chris. It was great.n𝘽 ˘ᴗᶦᵘᴜʳ.土灰ᶦᴛᵉʃᴛ Shine So now that we've brought the podcast down with negativity, Woohoo! Yes! As only Bruce can. Of course I can. Because I want to bring up funny things. And that was fucking hilarious. Not everyone thought it was funny. I don't care what everyone else thinks, you know that, but I'm just playing by my... That's why we love Bruce, because he just doesn't care. Yep. I don't. Woohoo! Woohoo! Fuck yeah. So how was your week, Bruce? Well, you know, Ar frighteningnie, Lisa. No, maybe he was referring to us because we do that too. Once in a while, but we suck. We need to improve. Yes. Trying to find an apartment sucks and unpack. Wait, wait, wait. That's not about pinball Fail. No, it does. I'm turning you off right now. Hold on. Okay, good. Hi, welcome to the first night and Gail slim till podcast show. Oh, God, no, no. I own everything. Timber, Google Play. I'll say it right, iTunes, Stitcher, and Google Play. Yes. I'm Bruce Nygale. But, uh, no, it all goes back to, it's hard to run a business without pinball and work on pinball and parts when you're got so many other things in the fire, you know, so. But, it's starting to come around. Hopefully we found a place tonight. We'll know tomorrow. If that happens, you will have your second bedroom, Ron. Tindy, John, Pneumonic, Tantrum, Ron. Oh, that sounded weird, but... It does. Okay. And so that'd be fun, and I will have a little pinball area I can repair and fix machines also in this place. And you're going to be able to get the games in there? Yes. Is it on the first floor? It's the first floor. It's a garage. I'll have a little garage. Neat. So I'll be able to work on Cheetah. Cheetah. Cheetah. Cheetah. What else? I ordered boards for the Star Trek LE because once in a while the Jamopto boards screw up and when I reseed them it works for a couple weeks and then it fails again. They came in today so I'll be putting them in hopefully sometime this week. Iron Maiden did very well for its first two weeks at the bar, very happy. And we got a shaker motor and it's the wrong shaker motor we got so we'll be dealing with that tomorrow. You won't be able to experience Timmy's shaker code. I know. Fail. Fail. And what else? Hopefully we'll have a couple more games. Hey, where's John? I'll be having a couple more games hopefully in the next couple weeks at the bar. I got a shoehorn him in. And I'll be taking a game out. And it'll be going back to Ron. Mm-hmm. Quicksilver is going back to Ron. Woohoo! Ron's happy and my wife's crying because my wife loves that game. Thank you for watching. I just, you know, I like actual space. Suck it up. No, I want actual space. I don't want to lose my table. I don't want to lose my other stuff down there. I could have other games coming that you don't even know about. Yeah, I already know about one. Oh, you do? I do. Oh, really? What's the next one? Maybe. I haven't made an order. Maybe, Mr. Rabbit, maybe. So, man, I'm psyched. Quicksilver's coming. Are you going to fix the flipper issue before then? I got to cut it out. I have extra flippers, though, but they're Bally's. Yeah, well, so is the one that's in there. It's a Bally. I know, but it got bent. How did it get bent? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. No profanity in the title. You can put the asterisks. Yeah, I'll do that and I'll probably screw up something. Excellent. So how was your week, Ron? We'll go into repairs later on, but how was your week? Okay. Are you looking forward to Deadpool? Deadpool? The movie? Yes, Deadpool 2. Electric book? Sure, when it comes out in video. You're a fucking failer. Gotta go to movies. What was the last time you went to a movie? Uh... Uh... Oh! Oh, yeah. Star Wars, The Force Awakens. Wow. That's not too long ago. No, it's not. Before that was probably Star Trek, the first new one. Oh my god, really? And before that was probably the first Pirates of the Caribbean. Oh my god, you're just fucking old. Why? Because I don't go to see movies? I don't like going to see movies. I'm sorry. Ugh, fail. Just noisy people, annoying. No, I'd rather see it in my own home theater and crank the sound up. Much more enjoyable. Eh, I agree with that part. I mean, it was fun when I was a kid. You're still a kid. Uhhhh, no. I don't feel like one, that's for sure. I don't feel like it either. Peace of news. I'm a little tired. I did like three hours of lawn work. Sucks. I cannot wait for that. Yeah, Bruce won't have to do that. He had like, what, 20 acres or whatever? Four acres. How long did it take you, dear, to do the lawn last week? Three and a half hours. Three and a half hours. And that's with a, how big is that tractor? 60 inch. Oh, my. Everyone sees it comments and make sure everyone else knows. So we got let's see last week. We saw okay. Yeah, deep root Price range, oh, deep root. $3,500 to $50,000. You're getting deep rooted. What? Did you see the reason why? Yeah, they plan to make various models that cost from $3,500 to $50,000. This is interesting as $3,500 would be significantly lower than any current new in-box pinball machine and $50,000 would be like ridiculous. The owner of deep root, Robert Mueller, Mueller, Mueller, Mueller, Mueller, he said $3,500. He's like dead or something. He said, I quote, 3500 may be a little expensive for our low end. We wouldn't feel comfortable taking that much profit. As for our upper end, Kaneda keeps insisting that he wants to buy a pinball machine for 50,000. So we would like to give him the opportunity to do so. So literally they did it as a joke. Yes, they did. And they're saying 3500 might be expensive. This might be even less. This guy's either high or this is going to be interesting. Yeah, I'm kind of like a little scared myself. The five days of deep root. Debruting will be happening very soon. Oh no, next year in Texas. Highway Pinball Insolvency Report. That's the word I couldn't think of. And I said they were insolvent. So yeah, 33 page report that no one will want to read. It's on Pinball News. It's gonna be Friday, I think qualifying Friday and Saturday finals on Sunday. There will be classics, which I believe the finals are on Saturday. They will also have a women's tournament. Then we have the games, here we go. Let's start first, man, they must not like the women. Cause these games suck. Well they got two attack from Mars. I assume that, they have AFM 2, I assume that means 2 AFM, so that's cool. But then they have Black Pyramid, Hobbit, and Stern Kiss. Ugh. Ugh, man. I would not want to play those. Neither would I. I mean Hobbit, I mean Black Pyramid at least, you just hit the orbits. Mm-hmm. To infinity. Unless they change it. Unless they change it. Unless they change it. Well how can they change it, Bruce? They change the switch order. Change the switch order. So what people did is on the, you know, the rollover loop on the right hand side or is it the left hand side? Left hand side is a loop, the right hand side is a target, if I remember correctly. All right. They switched the switch wiring so then you had to hit the center to get the multiple points. Oh God, the dangerous center target that no one ever wants to hit. All right. That's how you make it fun. Then in classics, we have Stars, Volley, Top Score, Kingpin Gottlieb, Williams Grand Prix, Toledo, which if I remember, I remember playing that I think at the Morristown Game Vault. Yes. And if I remember it is not overly difficult. It's a very fair playing EM for what I remember. Yes it is. I think it's at Bally. Old Chicago. Good old Old Chicago. And Gorgar. Then in the main tournament we have, here we go, Iron Maiden, of course. Of course. Iron Man. Arrow Beef. I assume that means Aerosmith. Arrow Beef. Yikes. Attack from Mars. There's going to be three Attack from Marses there. Genesis, Firepower, Dialed In, Sorcerer, Time Fantasy, and is that Banana Flippers or is that Snail? No, that's Snail. That's Snail. Okay, so that's the LSD Snail. Snail time. And Tommy? Can you rear me? How appropriate. So those are the games for the New York City Pinball Look forward to seeing everyone there. This was from Tim Sexton himself. Tim Balls. As a member of Never Beef Productions. Tim Sexton, tournament director and Never Beef Productions partner. Wow. New code for Iron Maiden Star Wars. It's on my machine .97. So Zach will be thrilled. Yeah, the animations are better for the match. I loved it. Couple different rule tweaks. Couple bug fixes. So we're getting closer to 1.0? Yes, yes we are. And let's see, next we have Thunderbirds is in full production. Are you, have you made your order? Let's see, is that a snore or a fart? I literally couldn't tell. It's a snore. Okay. The fucking company is a joke. Okay, so I take it. Thank you. What's the rule? Go back to Rule number one. No, I don't think they're preordering though. Yeah, they're taking money on them. Alright, alright. Distributors will take the money. So let's see, Playboy, which was going to be the game after Queen, it was also going to be a widebody, so they were definitely just doing widebodies. Deep Root moves into their new building. Wow, is it a pornhouse? No, it's on 12621 Silicon Drive in San Antonio, Texas. It looks big. So Silicon, Texas, you know, they got boobs now with their deep fruiting? That's so bad. Yes, it is. You are reaching today, man. But I'm winning. So was there a previous place on Saline Drive? Maybe. Okay. Houdini Shaker Motor is now on sale on American Pinball's website. Give the coin to aDas, quest materialīпри速or увидìing guys through the glo. Is about You know, Lucasfilm, Disney, they just suck. They take forever. Yes, they do. Approve the thing. It looks like friggin' R2-D2. How hard is that to approve? Ah, man. Dialed in. Conversation with Jersey Jack. Yep. By our own Chris Bucci. By our own Chris Bucci. Our former guest. Check it out. And I'm in there, too. Wait, you're in the video? I'm not in the video, but I have a video of my video in the video. This WeekInPinball.com your Slogan of the original text today, OK great. Yay. All right, move on. Yep, boring. So, another new podcast, which we mentioned last week, the Meltdown Pinball Podcast. Yes. With Steven Bowden and Nicky D. Lasagna. Yeah. And I've heard it on good authority that the Riptide Pinball Podcast or our very own Steph Guida, the Pinball Princess, and Crystal Gemnick, I said it right? I said it right? Episode, I guess, one, because the first episode was zero, hopefully be coming out soon. It may have already been recorded. Very cool. So be on the lookout. For that, congratulations guys, keep up the good work. Just make sure that you put your podcast on iTunes, Stitcher, and Google Play. Or you'll get to hear Jeff Teolis say that over and over. Yes, I love it. He's fucking hot. Jeff Teolis is hot. Hot. Redheads are hot. Oh, okay. Okay. About to say. Uh, that's about it for news. You sure? Yeah. Okay, cool. Whenever you say that, it's like, is you're going to bring up something? Yeah, I know. I want to bust your balls again. Yeah, you do that the whole podcast. Do I? I think that's why people listen. What's it going to do to Ron this week? Some deep... I'm not going to say it. Oh, when he made Ron all like quiet in that one part, that was great, man. It was great. I love when he does that. Oh, yeah. I love leaving silence for 15 to 10 seconds. No, long silence periods are bad according to the rules. Timing and Subtitles by the Amara.org community You suck. I am not a broadcast journalist. You suck. I suck. Let's see. Let me look at my list here. Replay FX made an announcement. They are going to have a women's tournament on Sunday for 64, I think was 60, max of 64. Sign up for big money, big prizes. I love it. Yes, it's the women's international pinball tournament. This Week in Pinball, Franchi), Preregistration required. With the David David Van Es, Keith Elwin, Bally Subtitles by the Amara community PlayFX for all information Although that not for another couple months so you got time We got plenty of time. You got plenty of time. So I heard Jeff Teolas has a roommate. Oh, man! Yes. He's gonna be rooming with Robert Byers. Oh my. Oh my. So he's gonna wake Robert Byers up in the middle of the night just to tell him to subscribe on iTunes, Stitcher, and Google Play. Google Play. And we told them to watch out because Canadians snore. Everyone knows that. Well, yeah. Actually, I could say Ginger snore because you snore. Yes, I do. So, man, and he's Canadian, so he snores twice as loud. He could be kicked out of the country for that. Mmm. Let's see, what else do I got here? Splitting cabinets. Yes, again. More reports of splitting cabinets. I thought they fixed this with Star Wars. No, because I think they just glue these corners. They're just terrible. But the premium, I thought the premium Star Wars had the larger plates in there. But don't forget the ones that are having problems are... The pros. You got it. So you're saying when like Iron Maiden Premium comes, it'll have the larger plates in it? We'll find out when the LEs come out. I know a couple people have gotten their LEs, but I haven't said if they got the plates or not. Hmm. Yeah, I... I they change something with the cabinets I can tell you that for a fact for when I had my Ghostbusters. Oh, yeah, it was different than all the other sterns I have even the Metallica which was fairly new like the Metallica cabinet and I'm talking about where the corners are like where they join in the front it that the Metallica looks exactly the same as the t3 which is made like 2003 but the Ghostbusters look completely different. I agree. So I know if if I were Titicaly, we're to get a iron main premium hypothetically of course hypothetically of course hypothetically, if it didn't have the larger plates in it I would put them in there Oh my Oh my Are we going to do repairs next are we done with our news? Sure repairs Still working on that fucking metallica problem What's the metallica problem again? The coil does not pull down and stay down long enough so the ball gets passed The magnet and some people have recommended now mylar on the lip area. Make it a virtual lock. I did make it a virtual lock. Problem solved. I did do that. But then you lose all the hammer effects and everything and that kind of sucks. Yeah? Is your average person going to realize that? I don't want my, yeah, Kathy said it perfectly. I don't want mylar on my lipped area. This is my wife. I love her. Like I said, is your average We're going to notice that. Yeah, but my regulars do. Look how much he cares about you, you people. See, this is a man who knows how to take care of his machines. I would just put it on virtual lock and call it a day. I'm going to try new pinballs because people are saying sometimes the pinballs are magnetized and they're not releasing from the magnet. I hate when the balls get magnetized. I hate when my balls are magnetized. My balls are magnetized. My balls are magnetized. My balls are magnetized. My balls are magnetized. I get it. I get it. What did you do in repairs this week? What did I do for repairs? Let's see. Um, I replaced some bulbs. Wow. Woo! Yes! Yeah, I had some bulbs out in Cheetah, you know, so I replaced them. I waxed some machines this week. Oh, that's very nice. I buffed the wax and waxed the buff. Mm-hmm. You were talking about Cheetah, though. You had something going on with Cheetah. Yes, yes. Yes, yes. I don't know if we brought this up on the Allentown episode, but when I was talking to Scott, Scott C., or Scott, he mentioned that there is actually another version of the cheetah rom. What? What? It appears that there's two different cheetahs. There is the cheetah we're familiar with, which has a black cabinet with the cheetah artwork on it. But there is a This week's topic is the blue cheetahs. The blue cheetahs appear to have come with different software. Specifically, different sound effects. The one thing that I was most annoyed with was the terrible cheetah background sound. Well, this different background sound is much better because there are a couple of clips out on YouTube of this different software. So I'm going to give it a try. I'm going to give it a try. I'm going to give it a try on my cheetah and see what I think. I might even do a stream with the alternate ROMs in it. Of course, no one will be able to tell it's any different because hardly anyone has played a regular cheetah. But there you go. How's the Gammatron going? I was supposed to go over there tonight but we had other things going on so I'm going over there Thursday. Going over there again, no frame of reference. Audience confused. No, we did have a frame reference. If you listened last week, you have a frame of reference. Okay, so you're assuming everyone listens like a new person coming on right now I know you're talking about. Yeah. Okay. Well, I don't know what you're talking about, so why don't you explain it to me? It's at Zach's house. Ah, okay. But uh, yes, uh, we're gonna do connectors. I figured out that operators from the 80s didn't know what the fuck they were doing. Why just from the 80s? Well, true. But I mean, with this mod and this kit where you had to move wiring and everything like that, oh my god. I'm gonna be modifying at least four full connectors. It's gonna suck. But I don't mind connectors. I actually like connectors. Okay, you are weird, but okay. You like light sockets, I like connectors. I don't like any of it. It should just work. Unfortunately, it's 40 years old plus. Well, your GammaTron, we learned simple things like even the flippers are some weird shit. Yeah, Zach is right. I think they are the Wicco flipper assemblies which you still can't find. Yeah, well, I don't know if you want to find them. The flipper bushing is part of the plate. Yep. That is so stupid. Yep. Maybe that's why they went out of business in 2001. So I would just replace everything with just stern. Just call it a day. I think that's what our plan is going to be. Yeah. We want to see if it first powers up and actually how it does flip. Now we found another thing. He's going for a yawn record here. I am. When we got the Game of Thrones, the normal gap between leg bolt to leg bolt is two and a half inches. brain iAitềnnancho ** Se icons Se transforms I'm not sure if you're watching this, but I thought all legs had the same bowl pattern. Someone out there know who's different? Talk to me. So you need different legs. No. I got plenty of ballet legs. God. Not even funny. All right. Already fixed. Already fixed. That's weird though. You think that's something that wouldn't have changed? No. Hmm. It did. Interesting. Very, very weird. So Gamatron, fun. We don't know if it works yet, but hopefully we'll know and we'll see. Yeah. We'll see. All right. I'm going to e-message him right now. 아비ooמץ頻 청소 750 혼여어로?" 1994 Softwarecard 위반 Literateyorum www. communism moments pleasantly Paranormal Where is the eBay number listed? The artwork is It's interesting. It's got like a woman with like vampire fangs. It has Gottlieb, yeah, Gottlieb like 80s flippers. It's by Stoney. It's got Bally flippers in it. No, those, those flipper bats are Gottlieb. But it's freaking, it's freaking Lost World. Oh, it's, oh, so, okay. So it's the Lost World. So it's a re-theme. Yes. By some company. Yeah. Would I buy that? How much is it? 12,500 Australians, so what, that's like 2,000 US? I wouldn't buy that. You wouldn't buy that, no. No, no, no, no. That's quite expensive. It's like a re-theme, though. Interesting. The artwork is quite interesting. I'll just say that. Yeah. Fail. No, someone might be interested in that. Fail. Alright. That's for 12,500. Would you be interested in 12,500? The next email from Donald Miguel Did I say that right? I think so. Hey guys, loving the podcast. I've only been listening for just a few months but it's been great ever since I picked it up. Bruce, I met you in February at the bar when I was out in New York visiting my folks. I was the dude who was swooning over your stargazer. Yes, he was very into that game. Very nice. His family is very nice. They've come back a couple I'm not sure how many times I've said that in a couple times since. My little brother and sister James and Nina told me they go pretty often and are having a blast trying to get better. It feels amazing that my family sort of adopted my love for pinball as a hobby of their own. And that could not have happened without the Silver Ball Saloon. Woohoo! Anyway, I just wanted to pop in and give my thanks, and I'm really looking forward to my next visit. Here's to hoping you have that NOS Stargazer playfield swapped out before I get back. So it can be better than Ron's. Yes, I hope to but I'm waiting on I'm waiting on my clear coat guy and I haven't heard from lately but he went through another surgery so it's kind of hard kind of hard. I feel you. Then we have okay, Mihi Henning again. I'm Bruce and Ron. Ron, full marks for your valiant attempts to pronounce my name correctly. You got bloody close. Damn, I thought I thought that was pretty good. The FairDinkum puts emphasis on the truth or geniusness of something. It's got nothing to do with genius. It's about being genuine. I'm FairDinkum. By the way, I agree, black hole sucks. Woohoo! As I said previously, it's good to own one because you have a place to put things where the sun doesn't shine. Excellent. By the way, Jerry Pornel wrote in the anthology Black Holes in 1978, incidentally the Russians call them frozen stars because the phrase black hole in Russian is an obscenity that means exactly what you think it does. It's good to know that at least some scientists have a sense of humor. Nice, thank you sir. Thank you sir. Scott Larson is our next email. Hey Scott. Ron describing Bruce. You people do not know how hard he makes it for me. Go on, insert, Oh My! You got it. And the subject line is Ron and Bruce bromance. Oh my! I hate the term bro. I hate that with a passion. Let's see, this is Eric Russell. S. Eric S. Russell. Yes, please. A good episode. It's about episode 90. I played a couple games of Alice Cooper's Nightmare Castle Pinfest. This Week in Pinball, Franchiientôt I enjoyed the playfield layout and art a lot, but felt the rules were lacking at this point. It definitely seems to have a lot of potential, though. Jason pointed out that the upper playfield reminded him of Castle Greyskull from He-Man. Who's Jason? Jason Plourin. Okay, thank you. Oh, I get it. Well, see, I'm reading it from the email, you idiot. I'm being a dick to you like you are to me. What a dick! You are a dick to me, though. No, you just say the name. I'm reading it from a letter. What's in the kitchen right now? I forget what Shadow was, but now it's not. I'm trying to remember what was in the kitchen. Yes, in his kitchen, folks. And he has a basement! Yes. He's starting to put games down there, I think, a little bit now. He's starting to get that ready. Ah, congratulations. Zach and Steve's debates were great. The modesdontmatter outside of points and getting to the wizard mode. Zach592018 I am looking at it right now And it's actually funny because it actually would work perfectly. Yeah, so it's the bottom of a, it's actually a big game, playfield. Is it a big game? It's a big game. Come on, you don't recognize the cards? Oh, sorry, I didn't see that. Sorry, I wasn't looking. Yeah, Jesse Loeffler. Okay, Jesse. Or Loeeffler. One or the other. I'm sure I'm butchering that. It's gonna be my only new thing. I just butcher every name. Hello, Ron and Bruce. Hello. Hello! Hello! New listener big fan is the subject line. I just want to let you know, you guys know I really enjoy the podcast. I'm somewhat new to pinball, only started playing casually about a year ago. I'm in the St. Louis area and am fortunate to have three to four places in driving distance that have ten plus machines. Damn, I'm jealous. I know, you're just so jealous, aren't you? So on January I started doing leagues and tournaments. Of course once I caught the bug I started looking for machines and in March bought a nice Jurassic Park. and Patrick Mark from someone locally offered to deliver and help set it up. There you go. Very nice. Then yesterday I bought a Whirlwind. Whirlwind. I agree on both game choices. He also delivered and helped set it up. The pinball community is great and I'm happy to have found something in my thirties when life was starting to get into a slump. Anyways, just wanted to say thanks for putting on an entertaining show. It's really helped me get balls deep, oh my, into the hobby. I can hang with the seasoned folks because I know so much listening to you guys. Also, I played a Paragon for the first time yesterday. Wouldn't have known about the game if not for you. Hope to meet you guys in the future. I'm planning a trip to Texas next year. Thank you, Jesse. Thank you, sir. Included a picture of Whirlwind and Jurassic Park. Whirlwind. I approve of both games. So do I. Officially approved by the Slime Show Podcast. Spinning Discs. Hey, Whirlwind has three spinning discs. All right. So they are connected. Yeah. Don't they all? Yeah. They all spin at the same right now. That'd be cool. They span span spun at different rates. That'll be a cool little mod. That'd be kind of cool. All right. Multiple. This is from Andrew Clark. Thanks for taking my questions on air. Sorry, I need to just sign my name off phonetically next time. Bruce, that's awesome that you get to have kids there till 10 p.m. Where? At the Silver Ball Saloon. Okay. There's one place here that attempted to do that but cut off kids at 5pm due to multiple complaints from the non-parenting adults who said that kids just took over all the games. I'll update you on my pinball adventures my daughter and I go on. Cheers! Nice. Very cool. Thank you. So what else do we got here? That's about all I have on my list. Wow. It would be nice to have a shorter podcast for once. Not that we don't love our listeners and want to have the longest, most just feature Packed, feature I sound like a game, feature packed podcasts possible, but man, these episodes been getting long lately. My original idea was to have like an hour long podcast. Yeah. Well you're, you know, because we do it weekly, you know, yeah, but, uh, I would highly recommend listening to this week's head to head podcast. Yes. Yep. So he kind of confirmed at least one thing that Deadpool was the game that John Trudeau was working on and it was pretty much the playfield was pretty much done and his artwork was pretty much done or at least going to ink stage he said when the whole thing went down and they decided to scrap it and now Gomez is doing it. This Week in Pinball, Franchi unemployartwork panel in backbox that is backlit during playelectronic has learned that Jeff Teolas of Pinball Profile isn't planning on competing at the Bloodbath. The obvious talent gap between himself and the rest of the field for his, and he wrote himself, his, his reason for passing. On the flip side, this may open up a spot for the lesser known and lower quality talent known as the Beavis and Butthead of Pinball Podcasting World, Slam Tilt. I'd love to be known as the Beavis and Butthead Podcasting. I think we are since we do have almost every show but one. Yeah, yeah. Well, actually, we had lots of shows without Beavis and Butthead at the beginning, but you can't remember back that far. What? Yeah, exactly. Hopefully, the committee will be able to sway Mr. Teolis and rethink his decision to honor the bloodbath with his presence. I tell you, boy, I don't trust those Canadians. No way. No way. No way, boy. They probably I don't even use propane in Canada. That's what I hear. That's what I hear too. So hopefully that the selection committee can just see it within itself to let us in, Chuck. To let us in, you know. Hey Chuck. How you doing Chuck? Come on get your ass in gear. I think they're just intimidated. I really do. Oh my god, they're so intimidated. I will plug, you know, Fun with Bonus, Steven Bowden, Meltdown Pinball Podcast, and Pinball Princess, Riptide Podcast, I will plug those because they were around after this whole bloodbath thing started. They're going to get jumped before us. As soon as they do, they lose their... As soon as they're in, then we can't... Oh, okay. That means they're going to guarantee they're going to get it. We passed that one. Oh, my. Oh, 100. 100. 100 episodes. Who do you want us to try to get on? We've tried George Takei. We've tried George Takei and we were unsuccessful. We did not get a response. Gary Stern, but he wouldn't come on because Bruce gave away his phone number. Yep. So who would you like to see us get? So yes, it's going to be exciting episode 100, but if you want us to try to get somebody, and please don't say anything like, do the Clusterfuck again. Get like 20 people on. No. Yeah. That would kill me. Yeah. No, don't do that. You know what we haven't done in a while? What? We haven't given away anything. We haven't done any contests. True. We did something to give away. Any ideas? We can give away your cheetah. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. What I do, I should look over some of my pinball paraphernalia, if you will, of stuff that maybe I don't need anymore. There you go. So maybe we should do that. We should discuss that. What's the question? We should. Because, you know, we're nothing without our listeners. I agree. All 93 of you. We went up to 93. The clusterfuck got us from like 20 something to 93. It did. It did. Incredible. 93 almost. I just want to thank our 93 listeners. Thank you guys. Without you, we would be losers.
