## Transcript

We have something pretty unique tonight. We have pinball zombies. Wait, no. And here we go. We are live, baby. Woo! All right. My lovely friends, please come onto the camera with us. We have very special guests with us tonight. First introducing, in all this fabulous pin-poring of Spongebobism. Oh, yeah. Turn around. Spongebob. Wow. Did I do that right in front of the mic so no one could see that? That was so funny. Okay, wait, wait. Can everybody see it? There we go. Very cute. It's Danny Teaches. We have Daniel Peck, the women's world champion of IFBA, with us tonight to be playing some Motorhead. Woo! Nobody clapped. They were on their couches right now. They're all with their families watching, clapping. And also joining us, Mr. Rotordave, the creator of Motorhead Pinball himself, and also a badass tournament player. I'm standing next to two people who are way better than me at pinball. We'll see. Which is always fun, which is always fun. And, yeah, we're going to be playing some Motorhead. I've got to look at the camera. It's over there. That's different. We're going to be playing some Motorhead tonight. Rotor Dave here. What is Rotor Dave? Where did Rotor Dave come from? I used to race rotary cars, so RX-7s. Race cars and pinball. It seems to always happen somehow. Rotor Dave here is going to be giving us some tutorials on Motorhead pinball. We also have like 20 people in this house that are gonna be joining us hanging out some very good friends Have traveled up here to pick up their TCM They're gonna be on camera with us tonight as well as spooky crew and Garth and and everybody else is gonna be on camera We're all gonna have a good time play some Motorhead and it's gonna be a blast. So without further ado Why don't we start why don't we get rolling on this thing rock and rolling? Yeah, I'm gonna change the camera over And boom we're looking at Motorhead. So Dave come over here Oh, yes, hello. And tell us a bit about your absolutely beautiful machine. I need to change the camera. I do need to change the camera. Good catch, good catch. All right. Boom. Right. Here she is. Totally homemade in my garage. Garage, as we call it here in Wisconsin now that I'm a local. Now that he's a local. He's moving in. Rotor Dave, moving up to Wisconsin to be official designer at Spooky Pinball. You can tell by the accent he's obviously Canadian. Oh, yeah. Charlie's here, too. I'm eating a burger. My son made me a burger. We got burgers and beer. What else do you want? And pinball. But tell us about this brutal. So street-level game. It plays fast. It plays me. I'm sorry. Yes. Single-level. Is that the proper term? Sorry. Yes, it is. Single-level game. It plays fast. It plays brutal. And it looks freaking Motorhead. That's right. Yeah. So when I designed it, it was like this project started about two years ago. and about two years ago we decided, hey, let's make a motorhead pinball machine. How would Lemmy want it? Obviously Lemmy's not around anymore so we can't ask him, but this is the way I envisage that he would like it. Sort of fast, fighting your back all the time. We've got pop bumpers down the bottom. We've got iron fists to fist you. We've got pop bumpers to pop you. We've got double flippers to flip a bit you. Yeah. Good time. So the TPF has played over a thousand times. a thousand times in three days. And it's held up well. So everyone seems to like it so far. Touch wood. Absolutely. It was all the rage in our booth at TPF. So essentially what happened here is Dave was going to make a badass motorhead machine with or without us, and we elected to sponsor this homebrew build for Dave. So it's a Spooky Pinball-sponsored homebrew build using the Warden system, which is our very first for us. The Warden system. Yes. the warden system our own personal system that we use in-house programmed by Matt Kemp by Matt Kemp the man behind Halloween and Ultraman the man who finished Halloween and Ultraman he left 10 minutes for me yeah it's actually how we came across Matt Kemp was Dave here he saved our ass he put us in touch with Kemp and we got him on that project so yeah Kemp worked for me before he worked for them well he didn't work for them yeah exactly he volunteered and he's not getting paid until this game's got a wizard mode If it crashes again, Kemp, you're definitely not getting paid. If it crashes on stream. And, of course, joining us again was Brad Brad Albright on art, who did my lead zipline machine a few years ago. So a lovely Texas man, so we have a little bit of USA influence here. Brad's done all the artwork on the cabinet, the play field, 3D sculpting on the fist and the skull, and also the user interface you see on the screen. That's all Mr. Brad from Texas, so he's had a big input on this as well. All done by Facebook Messenger. There's one thing I've learned about David Peck. It's this dude can message on Facebook Messenger. Not as much as Matt Kemp and those computer programmer guys. They're on it all day. Usually about 1 a.m. Yeah, 1 a.m. Yeah, forgets the time. Forgets the time. But without further ado, we're going to jump into some gameplay. Dave is going to help explain a lot of the modes, the rules, what's going on here. I'm sure obviously you can see on the camera up here you have your outer orbits. Both have awesome spinners on them. I don't know why I'm saying this. You're the one who designed it. You've got all the sauce here. Exactly right. So, yeah, fast game. Spinners on the loops. Spinner on the center loop. Very loopable. What else have we got? Pop bumpers. Ahoy. Four targets there. Five targets there. A snaggle tooth up the middle that jumps up and down when you hit him. Three multi-balls programmed at the moment. I'd say the game's probably about 60% coded at the moment. Mr. Matt Kemp was very very busy getting everyone's Halloween and Ultraman finished before Christmas We maybe stole some of his time from you We stole a lot of his time He neglected his motorhead duties but that's cool I took one for the team and all the Halloween and Ultraman guys are all happy so that's the big picture So we're a little bit behind on the code we're about 60% there at the moment the three main multiballs are coded in so we've got a Snaggletooth multiball you hit Snaggletooth a number of times, 10 times and you'll have a bit of a multiball Three ball lock behind the flipper, so you have to lift the flipper up. One, two, three into there, that's motorhead multiball. And then we've also got a skull multiball, which the four stand-up targets, one, two, three, four, with the little skull emblems. You hit those, complete three sets of those, and that starts skull multiball, and that'll start throwing balls into general play. So we've also got two magnets in the game. So we've got one in front of snaggle too, so that'll throw the ball around in this area here. It's good action up there. Yeah, good action. Hits the pox, hits the rubbers. And we've also got a loop magnet here, sort of like Twilight Zone, where at the right time, the magnet on the right orbit here will catch the ball and then slowly release it, give you a bit of a countdown, and release it so it can come down here so you can smack a few loops. But most importantly in this game, you can get fisted. You can many times and many varieties of ways. Also, the rule set in this game, I wanted to make something that's... My philosophy on pinball is pinball should be fun, and relatively... What? Well, some of the new ones aren't. And they shouldn't be a marathon because, to be honest, after about 20 minutes of playing pinball, I sort of glaze over. So a good game in this game will last you about 10 minutes, if you're lucky. Probably five, probably more like it. So all the rules are simple, but they're very risk and reward. Like, for example, the iron fist mode will go through them as we go through the game. But the iron fist mode, for example, shoot all the spinners, build up a spinner value, then hit the iron fist to collect it. when you collect it, it goes back to zero, start again, but you've only got 45 seconds. So do you build up the value and collect it, or do you just collect a small value and start again? Do you risk it? Because if you don't collect it, you don't get anything. So risk and reward, that's what we like as sort of tournament-based players, but also for the home use as well. This is probably one of the best dollar games that you'd ever... One of the things I set out to do was make an awesome dollar game. So I think this one fits the bill. We should put dollars out later. Ooh, I did. Dollar games are always the best. I think we should be good to go here. I'm going to turn it down just a little bit because the microphone's pretty hot. Uh-huh. And I also have to turn it down because this game is about to blow the walls off this room. It's a very loud game. So without further ado, let's go ahead. Let's get it rolling here. We'll double-check quality as we start. But, yeah. Let's get it on. Let's do it. Motorhead time. We'll make your neighbors move out. Make sure audio's set good. Hit me with it Oh yes This is my favorite song in the game right now Where should we go? Audio there? Do we go one louder? It's going to be a loud scream Alright Alright. And then everybody my dad's age came out and did that. Alright, I'm gonna jump on. I'm gonna hit it. I absolutely love the double flipper stack here. Super funny. Super brutal. Shake Zone! And it turns off the tilt-bob when you enter the shake zone. So we gotta hit spinners to light our mode. Oh, I got a ball lock. Hell yeah. Oh! Okay. So I hit spinners to light my mode there, and then I went ahead and hit... Spinners to raise the value. You're not causing us to die. Hitting spinners to raise the value, and then I shoot the iron fist to get fisted. Iron fist to flinch. One spinner's not going to cut it for me. I'm going to turn it over. There we go. Iron fist. Boom. Iron fist. Down yelling. Oh, no. I put in the other players at just the last second. I like that song. Play better. I've never seen a score that low. Who's next? Get on there. I'm going to have my dad play it if I'm, like, headbanging all night. So, Glenn, your dad plays the same bar as Motorhead once. I'm not on the same night, though, right? No. Oh, damn. About a week later. Oh, here we go. What's it going to be? Killed by death! Dad and I are just going to be competing to see who can do a better Lemmy impression tonight. That's how I'm going to go. Killed by death. Now Dave keeps telling me there's a fart there, but I can never hear it. You've got 45 seconds to do it! Hit snaggle tooth. Snaggle tooth? Yeah, but you want to hit them when the light's full is my understanding. Yeah, there you go. You can do it. Save the ball. Oh, nice. You can see jiggling. So once again, I don't know if everybody can tell. So that's called the shake zone. So when it enters that left in lane, it deactivates the tilt bob. So you can shake the game as much as you want to try and save the ball. So it actually turns off the freaking tilt bob. So you can try and save it on that corner. It's really cool. And Dad honestly did better with it than I've seen anybody do. My phone just told me to turn my volume down Not tonight Not tonight You suck You suck When he says you suck, guess what This song is so This is probably the best song for pinball Fricking ever, dude Energy is there Oh, sure, now I get it I love it. So it's bug mode. What the hell? Come on, man. Shake it! Shake it! She's the poppin' since. Come on, Spit Puppey! First Gator! Save the ball! I was about to shake it! I was doing a thing until I wasn't. That is a big puppy! He's a big boy! He's a big dog! I've never seen a skull that low! Who wants it? Now I need to fist these boys into shape and show off my big kahunas, so let's get this show started, shall we? Well Danny's free! Where did those went? Uh, there we go. Uh, we're almost there, let's go. Get some more spinners going. Danny, so while you're playing, I'm gonna fill this trophy boot with this beer. And then you're gonna... I'll tilt it that way. I'll tilt it both eyes from here. Danny, bringing home the gold from the Texas Pinball Festival and the Winter Pro Championship. And this girl fucking slays. So good, so good. My great-grandma from Christchurch has been asking me to drink from that boot the whole time I've been here. Let's get on to my deathbed. The peer pressure on the shoeys has never been more real. Oh, legit. Alright. Devo, what are we doing? Can you Danny teaches me, Devo? Danny needs teaching. You've got 45 seconds. Here, put the tape in the mic. They won't hear you. Okay, so you want to drain down the side. I'm stuck with you. You suck. At least my hat's cool. Am I up? The creator. You cannot kill what you did not create. That's right. That is going to be embarrassing. It's going to screw me over. I don't care. Spinners, just level up. Getting those loops. How many loops can you do in a row, do you think? On your best day. I did 15 before when we set the game up, when you weren't looking. 15 when no one was looking. So, spinners like your lemmy letters. So at the moment we've got a few, couple more spinner rips and we're like Bambi letters. Oh we've already done enough. Mode start slip now, so we can get it into mode start when we're ready. At the moment I will... You can get some good points just whacking spinners around. So mode start you want to hit off the top slipper, like that. The ace of spades! Okay, ace of spades. I've heard this song. Hit the pops! Okay so this one here, hit your pop bumpers. And pop-up as well. Pull your value. Let's hit the pop-up. Oh, that's not good. No, no. The red man's hand again. Catch him. Yes, they gave me overkill again. You filthy animal. See what I did there? That was a borderhead choke. Two balls left. You lost another ball. Oh shit! I'm gonna get a little bull bull. Bulls are the best! I'm gonna get a little bull bull. Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I wanna get under there. Shit! God damn it! I forgot it does that. So I just gotta lock one ball is what I'm hearing here. So where does the term flipper bitch come from? Flipper, I'm sorry. That's what, I'm just going off what Dave tells me that's called. It's hard to play pinball when the music's this good. Yeah. If you drink enough and you headbang, it actually makes the game less blurry. But if you just headbang sober, it's going to be super blurry the whole time you play it. We got COD Zombie fans in the chat. I love it. We need to do a COD Zombies game with nothing but badass music. I think you have multiball lit at Snaggletooth. Yeah, I think if you hit Snaggletooth, it's multiball. I'm trying. Shoot the ribs. There it is. I bet you hitting the flashing shots for jackpots My safe assumption here Oh, man! Oh, man! You just pissed that one all away. Oh, what a good thing going. Danny, back on it. Not bad See, my goal is to not suck the pool What I appreciate is that Danny's dressed as a celebrity She's like, I know I am one So I'ma dress like one You know it, you know it It's nice to have a real player on the screen for a team I'm not shouting it Oh goodness Hold on, let's go I should try and get a multiple game back I'm really fucking done Come on, leave it You've got it! You've got it! You've got it! You've got it! I'm not even... That multiball might still be there. Alright, alright. It might still be there. It comes through today. Charlie looks like Reggie Bannister from Phantasm. Oh, that's Reggie. Thanks Chris. Dave, when Lemmy says, if you squeeze my liver and I'll put a spell on you... I'm not playing with you. That's the one. Oh, well. Man, don't steal that multiball. That'd be terrible. That was very hard. I really want it. Son of a gun. Oh! Never mind, we're not gonna build this. Multiball! Right, so motorhead multiball. Spelling! Something we just don't do enough of. Spelling is fun. You had it, then you pissed it away. God, I love the dual flippers at the bottom. What is the proper term for the two flippers at the bottom? Bitch flippers. Bitch flippers. Shut up, I hate you! No one to the yard. So, yeah, Wes, I really want him to add a post for that. So when you drain out the right outline, you can nudge it back in. That would be great. Hi, Wes. We love you. Thanks for the Rebel Guitar, sir. This is Rebel Guitarist-type pinball right here. Don't do it. No! No! I didn't even hit it. No! God, peace it up. I beat my son here. My locker's gone. A save between the flippers would be really cool. I'm just going to keep mentioning it until Dave adds it into this game. You should cradle the ball on that flipper. Yeah, I know. You should try and hold it. I learned that. That would be really impressive. Ooh, you got fisted. Again. No, I did nothing with the third ball. Take a drink. Every time someone gets fisted tonight. I've got the power. I almost have a thousand followers. It's cool. All right. All right. So, Danny, what is the daily struggles of being a women's world champion at Men's Tail? Honestly, nobody's knowing that I'm the world champion. The ego hurts. I'm having to practice so much, learn so many games. I've got my little pinball mobile for all the rules. It's the commitment time. I'm just so happy I just ate dinner. I'm like, oh, I'm going to get balls off. I'm really, again, not showing off the greatness of this game here. Damn. Dave's coming in for a ball three sweep. Let's go. He's going to come in. Dad's in the lead. That's never good. He points that out quite often. Does the winner get to keep this game? Yep. Turn the music down. I don't know if you've heard what game this is. Well, you have heard. It's loud. Spinners are fast. I wish you knew this game is pretty loud. A couple more shots of Snaggle too, so we can hear them laughing. See, we need to get this microphone set like Lemmy's microphone on the screen up there. Louder! They're like, turn it up! At some point, we'll see how loud we can make it before it's just like... I hit my back. I hit my back. I hit my back. I hit my back. I hit my back. I hit my back. I hit my back. I hit my back. I hit my back. I hit my back. I hit my back. Don't step on power cards, please. Hang the mic in the backbox and make a karaoke. Is that 10 or 18? That was 10. Who was third player? It was Danny was. Danny, you got your initials up. Oh, sorry. I was trying to get... It's fine. What did I even win? You won a prize. I'm just going to do that. Oh, looking good. Nice. Amazing. All right. Player four. Player four. That's the Dave. Okay. Yeah, Halloween was in the background doing its attract mode. Sneaking in. Hello from Australia. Hey, thank you. First time chat. A ton of first time chatters tonight. That's really cool. Oh, excuse me. Hi, I'm Charlie. What player is that? I think this is player one. Host of the Screamin' Stream and owner of Motorhead. Also, I just became the Ladies World Champion. Yes. He's on a roll tonight. Would you like a hat to prove it? There you go. I need all the hats I can get. Got a sparkly, lovely number there. Dad. Aw, so good. Look at you. Didn't get my name on. I was the only one that didn't place. Perfect, perfect, perfect, perfect. I didn't think anybody else could knock that down. All right.
