## Transcript

All right. Hello everybody. It's Spooky Danny back with another video. And today I'm here in Tanganuatara, Wellington, which is the capital of New Zealand and the windiest city on planet Earth to check out the pinball hotspots. We had originally come down to play in the capital city silverball tournament that's on this weekend. But alas, needed a holiday after the chaos I've had at work. So come along. Let me show you some spooky pinball machines and other pinball machines across the town. Let's do it. And before we go to play some pinball machines, we decided to get some lunch. So, we are getting some crepes ago. My favorite gluten-free, dairyfree snack in all of Wellington. I've decided to chat while we walk to go get a lapel mic cuz I decided I wanted one of those. I think the best thing about Wellington Pinball is not only that it's in the center of the country, so it's really easy for people to sort of get to, but also the community is insane. Like the good thing about Wellington is that it's walkable, right? So if you bus in and then you can just walk anywhere. It's just so easy to get around and play at all the different venues. Like you're never that far away from pinball which makes it a really thriving hub of pinball. Whereas in Oakland everything's half an hour drive away like most major cities in the US. So I think Wellington's really special for it. And yeah, again that walkability allows it to thrive. What do you think Andy? [Music] Hello Danny. [Music] All right, and here we are. We are at Y Oldi Pinball Shopppee, also known as YPS. Yops is at the heart of the pinball community owned by Hamish and he is just you can tell that this place is filled with love. So let's go and have a look. So, here we are. We're in the shop. I'm in their lovely couch. And behind me, you can put your bag away while you play, so you don't have to carry around all of your goodies when you're traveling. And yeah, they've got three spooky pinball machines, TNA, Ultra Man, and Rick and Morty. So, pretty cool. I know you. [Music] I think what's interesting about Wellington and the location machines here, there's such a range. You can get the modern sterns, you can get spookies, you can get, you know, p fishing, you can get valleys, you can get everything. And that's what I really like about coming to Wellington. You can just go and play these public games, challenge high scores that are actual high schools on location and just have fun. And when you have places like this in the community, you can't go too wrong. You can't not have fun. Hey team, I'm Andy Teachers and this is Total Nuclear Annihilation TNA. Let's uh get it going. So, first thing you want to do, start the game. Oh yeah. Let's try and go up there. Too soft and Ed Boon. Up there. And not quite the right place. But there we go. You know, something that's also really interesting here is that you can actually get a video of your own game. So, you can turn on and off the player cam and then see how you played your game afterwards. Not too bad. I wonder if Andy will want to keep this game. Do you want to see yourself play this game later? Are you going to request your footage? Footage requested already. Footage requested already. All right. [Music] Andrew and I are about to play Ultra Man, which is the Halloween alternate skin. And honestly, underrated. I think it's the most underrated spooky game. And I say that with a lot of spooky experience. So, let's jump in. [Music] Now, I've just played my first ball and I'd like to say this is actually the only Ultra Man on location. Uh even we don't have Halloween on location in Oakland. So, very exciting to have this game out for everybody to play and I know it's a tournament favorite here. You want you [Music] know you you The really interesting thing about yachts in particular is that they have the screens above the pinball machine. So while I play, you can watch me. I love that for tournament where you can see what your competitors are doing doing and what they're up to and you know little tricks to the game. So, here we go. [Music] But I don't you [Music] know you [Music] So, we're here at the Lanes and this is location two of the major pinball spots in Wellington. This has a huge range of games including Scooby-Doo as well as some really old kind of odd games to see in New Zealand like Maverick. So, let's go have a look, shall we? [Music] And so we've got a lot of modern games here. But if you come through this way, then we can see we've got the creme de la creme. We've got Scooby-Doo herself. And you know, big Scooby-Doo fan, the Danny Teachers is coming, I promise. But you can see in pristine condition on location, still holding up strong. Gorgeous game. Love. Let's have a game, shall we? Heat up [Music] show you. All right, so we've seen ys, we've seen lanes, chat a few of the well pinball locals, and that is us. If you're ever around the Wellington area, now you know where to come to have an awesome pinball time. Come join the pin heads and play some tournaments. And yeah, see you on the next one. Thanks for joining us.
