## Analysis

A tech reviewer tests whether modern mini PCs (specifically the Ace Magic Warlord W1) are viable for playing virtual pinball games. The creator challenges their previous stance that mini PCs were unsuitable for virtual pinball, demonstrating that current hardware can handle multiple 1080p displays and some 4K resolution gaming depending on the virtual pinball platform used.

### Key Claims

- [HIGH] Mini PCs are no longer unsuitable for virtual pinball as technology has advanced — _Creator's opening statement reversing their previous recommendation against mini PCs for virtual pinball_
- [HIGH] Ace Magic Warlord W1 can run three displays at 1080p — _Creator explicitly states this during hardware specification discussion_
- [MEDIUM] Pinball FX is not optimized for Windows and puts more burden on mini PC hardware — _Creator states 'Pinball FX has not necessarily ever been optimized for Windows, so it's going to be a little burdensome on this mini PC'_
- [MEDIUM] VPX, Future Pinball, and Pinball Wicked can run at 4K resolution on the tested mini PC — _Creator mentions these platforms as 4K-capable alternatives when Pinball FX cannot achieve 4K_
- [HIGH] Higher RAM is better for emulation and virtual pinball applications — _Creator states 'Anytime you're doing emulation or virtual pinball, you need a lot of random access memory'_

### Notable Quotes

> "Typically, anytime someone's ever asked me, 'What's a good miniature PC recommendation to play virtual pinball games with?' I've always immediately shot them down and told them, 'You don't want a miniature PC to play virtual pinball.' However, as technology progresses, things advance. That's typically no longer the case anymore."

Typically, anytime someone's ever asked me, "What's a good miniature PC recommendation to play virtual pinball games with?" I've always immediately shot them down and told them, "You don't want a miniature PC to play virtual pinball." However, as technology progresses, things advance. That's typically no longer the case anymore. So, today, we're going to try to find out what kind of virtual pinball experience we can have on a little tiny miniature PC. And for today's test, I'm going to be utilizing the Ace Magic Warlord W1 mini PC. Absolutely silly name, but you know, you can find this on Amazon relatively cheap. Uh the reason I was gravitating towards it cuz it's got a Ryzen 7 processor inside. I'm a huge fan of Ryzen over the Intel stuff. Um, it's got 32 GB internal RAM, which is great. Expandable up to 64. Uh, the more RAM, the better. Anytime you're doing emulation or virtual pinball, you need a lot of random access memory. So, that's great. Uh, 1 TB SSD inside, expandable up to two. Um, so, lots of memory there, but, you know, nothing crazy. It looks just like every other mini PC on the market. Um, ports and everything. Up front, you got two USB 3.0's, uh single USBC that is also a display out which is kind of annoying that you'd have one up front and two in the back. So your cords and everything if you're running multiple displays it's going to look a little hokey but on the back we've got four more USB 3.0's, a display port, an HDMI port, and then your power. Uh you know, you're wondering like why would somebody want to do this? Well, a lot of times for virtual pinball, I've used a small form factor Dell um old PCs that are out there very cheap. uh you throw in a you know GPU and then you'll run three screen 1080p all day long. Even on a small form factor internal GPU like this, as you can see, it's still twice the size of this mini PC. So for, you know, form factor and everything, this thing is super cool. And the great thing is this has three display outs and it can run three displays at 1080p. But I mean that's kind of old, you know. Let's let's let's see what we can do with modern displays and modern uh resolutions. So, I'm going to be testing out 4K resolutions, multiple displays on this and we'll see what kind of performance we can get.
Don't try this at home.
Uh hello.
Yeah.
Uh plate. Let's rock each other. Hey, let's go couch fishing. There you go. The biggest unanswered question.
I'm falling in love all over again.
You say that's all.
Let's get going.
I don't want another
man. I hate commercials.
Sleepers.
You better be careful.
Everywhere. Look up. Stop the spider.
Leave it alone. Heavy hen.
So, at the end of the day, this can do 4K resolution displays for most applications. Now, pinball effects has not necessarily ever been uh optimized for Windows, so it's going to be a little burdensome on this mini PC. Can I do multiple displays at 1080p on this? Absolutely. with Pinball FX. But if you want those 4K resolutions, you're going to have to play things like VPX, Future Pinball, or Pinball Wicked. So guys, let me know your thoughts and opinions of these little mini PCs. Are you a fan of them for emulation? What do you think about them for Virtual Pinball? Let me know your thoughts and opinions down in the comments below. If you enjoyed the content, make sure you hit that like button. Share this video with your friends if you found the information helpful. And as always, thanks for watching, guys. Really means a lot.
