I'm going to the Beast and Buffalo in a couple days and they got some good craft beer and I'll put that to good use. I am off to the Grazely Garage for some arcade shenanigans. In about half an hour, Kevin and Dutch are going to accept delivery of a Nintendo Punch-Out Arcade machine. I don't know a whole lot about punch out I did buy and sell video games for like 20 years on ebay I think I opened my ebay store in 2002 it was one of the OGs and I had dozens of copies of the Nintendo version of punch out and Mike Tyson's punch out and I think yeah Super Nintendo had Super Punch-Out too, didn't they? So I'm a little more familiar with the cartridge version. I don't recall playing Punch-Out in the arcade. I was probably too busy playing Shinobi and Double Dragon and Ghosts and Goblins and Bubble Bobble. But, you know, this is a very popular game, probably fairly desirable, and someone very, very far away, like six hours, is driving through the area conveniently, and they packed this Nintendo Punch-Out into their SUV. I saw a couple photos, and it looks... I was surprised that they were able to get it in there, because it's huge. It's got two monitors. And I want to be there for the action and check this out. It's not working. This is going to be like Kevin and Dutch's summer project or one of them. And it should be pretty freaking sweet when it's all said and done. I have a suspicion it could be medieval madness related, but it wouldn't be all that unreasonable to suspect that a playfield may have been inserted into a cabinet. The suspense is building. Yet to do the underside of the, you caught me kind of as it was just in the middle of, just starting to do the bottom side of the playfield, the LEDs. Hey, I brought you 200 LEDs. Would you like those? I would. There you go. We already have all of these in here though. Okay, you probably depleted your stash with this machine here. Wow. Hey, no, we can use those on? What? That. Ah, yeah, Monster Bash could use a LED upgrade. I think I saw some old-style LEDs in there. Old-style LEDs colored GI everywhere. Yeah, I see, like, red going on over here. There's blue there and green by the creature. Yeah, very clown pukey. Okay, so where are you at with this guy? You must be close to the finish line. um so when we took it apart it still had a lot of issues with it i fixed a lot of them but there's still many things left so we're not sure if the trolls work and whatnot okay so we'd have to go through and troubleshoot so this play field went into the cabinet 20 minutes ago is that what you're saying pretty much oh well like what happened was we put it in and then i'm the control lamps weren't working right so i was tinkering with that before i even fixed it fixed that like my dad had to go to get my sister from work. Oh, okay. That's where he's at. Yeah, so that's why he's not here. But, like, pretty much, like, I put in, I think, seven LEDs. Yeah. And then I took a few out, and then you showed up. Oh, okay. Or I decided to move my car. So it looks like some new flipper bats. Yeah, they need to be adjusted. They don't quite line up. Okay. This red powder coating throughout is incredible. Oh, yeah, it's nice. Oh, yeah. It comes with purple pop bumper caps from factory, but I don't know what the color is, but it turned out really pink. Yeah, it actually looks more pink than purple. but who knows it could even be just natural white bleeding through the no okay supposedly purple leds that turn that somehow added to dark purple turned pink so we'll have to see what i can do i might leave it looks all right i think well i have to change it i don't know i hear your uh 19th birthday is coming up pretty soon soon and uh i can't imagine this not being ready for that so uh question where the f are you gonna put it good question oh boy you don't have a whole lot of space monster bash we're gonna find a spot for that too okay anybody want to buy a world tour or a Frankenstein or a pair of NBA Fast Breaks. I think that's it for right now. Yeah, that's about it. Because you were kind of toying with the idea of Star Trek Next Generation. We've got to get the seven, though. That would be pretty cool to have all seven super pins. That's been the idea for a few years now. Other things have kind of jumped the queue. And we could definitely buy a Demolition Man if we wanted, but it's never been the top priority, even though we're so close to the finish line for the seven. And all were in the same cabinet? Yeah, they use different control panels though Well here it is We're gonna plug this thing in we know it doesn't work But we want to plug it in anyways firstly Is there any money in here? We've been working on this non-working moat or drawbridge. whatever you want to call it for like an hour at least and been chasing our tail but we think we finally found the solution and it's not on even a connector that is pertaining to the drawbridge specifically uh if you look in this connector here you see that gray yellow wire remnant remnant well that's because we had to go digging and look we found this this may be the solution to our problems we're certainly going to help something if not it's gotta just took freaking hour and a half to find that okay we've got the wire stuck back in the connector hey yeah another victory boom all right kevin productive today kevin doesn't know that we've resolved this yet so uh as soon as he as soon as he gets back in here we'll show him the good news. Alright, one more game for the road here now that we think we've got things fixed. We think the lock should work, the right orbit switch now works, and the drawbridge. The popper should work, the drawbridge works, yes. So let's uh, oh and we moved the slam tilt switches apart so that they're not so close and that should be resolved too.
