## Transcript

Oh, where's the third flipper? Give me that song. You want to say the doctor? Make me roll. Just playing bad. Yeah, what a shame. Someone pooped their pants mid game. Where's the third flipper? It's player versus player and player versus machine. Welcome to the final round. It has been two weeks, I'm sure, exactly. No question about it. Hi, I'm Jeff Teeolis. This is the final round. Who's this? It's me, Ryan C, all the way down from Australia. Woo! Welcome. Woo! Second time we're recording this. Woo! What are you talking about? Listen to the end credits. So a lot has gone on in these two weeks. We're about to reveal a curtain. When I say two weeks, Ryan, is it really two weeks? It's never two weeks. It's either two months or four months or God knows when. When is this podcast being recorded? Will our opinions be valid? Stay tuned to find out. Usually in the podcast I say when we start recording. I'm not going to end this one until the end of the episode. So you can try to guess with what's going on in what we're saying, when we're recording it, and then figure out, well, how quickly did they record it? And release it. I think you'll be impressed. Maybe not. Maybe the quality will suck. Who knows? I'm going to the Ron Hallett school of editing. As long as nothing is terrible and there's no slander, we'll just put it out there. We'll see. But I need your image. You've got to get on that. I need the song, your magical song. And I expect nothing less than the masterpiece that was at the end of the day. That was a good one. The other day, Jeff, I was listening to a song on Spotify that I really enjoyed and then my brain was like, is this an AI song? Does this person even exist? Because the song got me a little bit emotional and then I kind of did some research and I was listening to an AI song and I was really upset and then I realized that I do exactly the same thing. But I guess I'm not trying to elicit any emotion other than a couple of cheap laughs, but it got me and it's going to get to a point where I'm not going to be able to discern whether or not it's real or not. It's scary times we're living through, Jeff. Now, wait a second. How can you be so judgy to AI when you've been involved with real girls and blow up dolls and things like that for most of your adult life? Like, how come? Ooh, hear that? That was a can opening. I'm having a Diet Pepsi right now. Normally that would be edited out. Not this time. Glug, glug, glug. How about all your flatulence, Jeff? No, I'm good. How about Sonic the Hedgehog? What a reveal. Should we talk about it? Steve Ritchie. Steve Ritchie Masterpiece. I mean, like, what a great game to have. You know, everyone wants Mario, but you can't get Mario because Nintendo is just going to, like, you know, the IP. Too hard to get. Sonic, though. Wow. Steve Ritchie. Never retire. You are the master of flow. And again, not the movie, but the video game. I think that was a wise choice. But funny enough, I haven't seen it yet. Have you? I'll tell you this. It hasn't come out yet. It should be coming out very, very soon. Hmm. Will it have come out by the time this episode airs? Oh boy, a lot of pressure on me as a producer of this show. So last time we recorded, I think Pokemon had just been announced or announced the week after. Yep. And by the time the episode was released, Transformers had already been announced. And I'm talking about first impressions of Pokemon. I wonder what it'll play like. Meanwhile, the tens of people who listen are probably scratching their heads saying, these are outdated opinions. Well, you don't listen to Final Rounds for Current Opinions, or do you? I don't know. Let's see. We'll find out. Maybe I've turned a new leaf. Is that a Pokemon reference, Jeff? Because Pokemon New Leaf is a Pokemon thing. I spent hours, years, explaining Pokemon to you last episode. Are you willing to explain Transformers to me? Because I don't get it. Hey man, that original game from Stern years ago came out. I don't even know if I'm saying there. I know there's Autobots and forgive me, is it Decepticons? Yeah, Decepticons, yeah. Okay. Never seen the show. I know all about it. When Generation 1 came out, I was a young boy, so I would have watched it, just never got into it. I don't know why, it just didn't grab me. I love the first Transformers game I've played. I haven't played the new one yet. I haven't seen it out in the wild yet. I'm sure launch parties will be happening soon if they already haven't. And again, I really haven't played much out in the wild, so it's not that they're not out, but I can't explain it. I really know nothing about it. Optimus Prime, I don't even know if that's a good guy or bad guy. I'm serious. I know the name. I'm going to guess. Good guy. I think he got that right. Do you know what's embarrassing, Jeff? Who's the bad guy? Who's the main guy? There's a Bumblebee. I know there's a Bumblebee that's a good guy. That is good. The bad guy is... Don't look it up. Come on. No, I'm not. I'm pinching my head. Megatron. Yeah, yeah. I only know that from a pinball machine. Do you know what I think of the first thing I think of when I think of Transformers, Jeff? Think about it. Ryan, horny guy, what's the franchise? How you can transform yourself into a tripod. With a small egg. It's Megan Fox, I think. Oh, from the movie? From the movie. Under the Hood? Yeah, on the motorbike, just burnt into my memory forever. It's horrible. I wish I didn't. That's not what I thought of. Well, I don't feel terrible because I think that's what the producers were going for. I think Michael Bay was like, hey, would you mind, we're going to turn off the heat here a little bit, you might get a little sweaty or whatever. Let's cast this young actress who isn't great at acting, but we can put some bums on the seats. Megan, the camera loves you. Just go under the hood there and bend over a little further. Archie back, archie back, please. Archie back, yes, archie back. You and I will never be directing movies, but at least we have the common decency to realize what the hell they're doing there, right? Yes. Oh, by the way, we will be talking movies. You betcha. This is the final round. You come here for movies. I've seen four, actually, since the last podcast. I've seen a lot, but I can probably only talk about two of them being impactful enough. One of them made me cry, Jeff. One of them made me cry for almost the whole second part of the movie. Was it a scary movie? Yeah, it was all of the hilarious scenes from Scary Movie. No, it was Toy Story. It was Toy Story 5. You cried. Toy Story 5. I feel like I had some emotions bottled up. It wasn't just the movie. I feel like I was due for a little Disney Pixar sob and they know how to do it, Jeff. They know how to pull on the heartstrings, especially of parents. And my kid just looked at me, she's 11, and she was like, while I was shedding a little tear, she's like, are you seriously crying in the middle of the movie? I'm like, yeah, shut up. I love you guys. Hold on a second. I remember, I've seen the first four Toy Story movies, I haven't seen the fifth one, which is out now. Ooh, timeline, interesting. I remember three getting choked up when they all looked like they were about to be incinerated. Accepted their fate, yep. And they're all holding hands. I'm like, geez, Pixar, you got me right there. And that one, that really choked me up. There are only other two Pixar movies that really choked me up. The start of Up. Oh, my God. Every time. Holy cow. Every time I watch it, I'm like, it's not going to get me this time. And it's like, no, she has cancer. She's dying. That was the other one. I don't know if you've seen it. It's fantastic. And it really celebrates the dead. Coco. I've seen it. I enjoyed it. I'm not sure if... Yeah, that was that one got me too. Which part? I don't know. Some accepting death. I can't remember. It's all good to do with death. Encanto. I can notice how to pull my heartstrings, but the other bit that gets me is inside out when Bing Bong sacrifices his life, basically, to be forgotten forever. And do you remember that bit where he... Don't know if I saw that movie. Oh, I just... I think I did. Is that where they're all different emotions? Yeah, yeah, different emotions. Bing Bong was an imaginary childhood friend and he helps him out, but in doing that he has to sacrifice himself into basically the abyss, like never being remembered again, which is, it's scary, it's sad, like that's part of death, right? Well, that's why we do podcasts, right? To keep these forever, so, you know, once we're collecting worms in our ass, you will remember Ryan and Jeff. By the way, the worms in the ass is because we're dead, not because we haven't cleaned or anything like that. I just want to point out that's the analogy there. As long as I keep on paying my hosting fees forever past death, I'll put it as part of my will. Someone will get my estate, but they have to keep on paying the $100 something a year to host this podcast. Hey, no one's hosting TopCast, and you can find those. Someone is a guy. Actually, I had a guy, I met a guy at the UK Open once and forgive me for forgetting, I remember the conversation very well but I forget the gentleman's name. And he asked if I can put up, there's about 90 episodes of Pinball Profile from early on that are not on Spotify or whatever else because back in the day, which I hate saying, we used to put it on Podcast Garden. And then that website went tits up and we're like, oh, shit. So it wasn't ever lost. It just wasn't accessible. I always had everything on my hard drive. So it's just a matter of me putting them up. And he's asked me to do it. He goes and he archives it all. But then now, even if you listen to this on Spotify, it transcribes for the most part what we say. Yes, I'm not sure if you know, Jeff, but when you listen on Spotify, it's not actually hosted on Spotify. They don't mirror the content. And it's still grabbing it off my web host. So if I die, this will go down, Pinball Profile will go down, Slam Tilt Podcast, Civil War Chronicles. There's a whole bunch of podcasts that I'm hosting. That's my new business. Shit. Hold on a second. Maybe this is not a good idea. Yeah. Let's get a backup solution. You got your will already set? Do you have a will? I mean, I can modify it, Jeff. Do you have a will? I do. I haven't modified it in a while yet. Do you, Jeff? Once I had kids, I had a will, of course. I didn't really think much of it until I had kids. I'm like, ooh, be responsible here. Anyway, yeah, I do. But, hmm, you had a website for me for the Canadian National Pinball Championships, one of those big events, which next year is coming to Mississauga, which brings me to my next topic. Don't worry, we'll get back to movies, I promise. We're going to just have a short little interlude here to pinball. Please forgive me. Boring. Fuck. All right. Just fast forward about five minutes and then we'll get back into the nitty gritty stuff, worms in the ass movie, shit like that. So I've been super busy. We joke about the fact that it took me, honestly, we recorded that last final round when Pokemon came out. So it was mid-February. I was talking, if you listened, I was talking about in this going on. Released May 31st. Transformers had already come out. So I promised Ryan this will be the fastest release in history. But the reason I've been busy is because I've been looking around for possible rental places for a possible new arcade that I might be partnering in. So there's a place I love called Maple Pinball, which I think is Mississauga Area Pinball League. And we've hosted the Ontario Open. We've hosted Spring Spectacular, weekly Friday nights. It's open right now. So if you're in Mississauga on Friday nights, come join us by a little tourney. But Shane Jackson, the wonderful friend and kind of guy who kept this thing going, had a couple of partners that are stepping aside. So he's looking either for new partners or call today. Well, myself and Jack Tabin don't want to see that happen. And in fact, we think we can do some good things with it. So the three of us have partnered up and we're just looking for new locations. So we've been scouring kind of Mississauga and West Toronto and holy shit, finding the spacing you want, finding ample parking, public transit, zoning laws, all this shit. Like I know you operate and that's a busy, busy time. And, you know, that's kind of my thing right now. So we have to find a way to make this kind of happen. And it's just consumed so much of my time. So much in fact that, oh my God, you know Retro Ralph, right? I do. We talked about him a couple of episodes ago. No, it was actually the last episode. A couple of months ago. I recorded an interview with him in March and it wasn't time sensitive. In fact, it's very, very generic, just great conversation between a couple of content creators. I really, really enjoyed it. Every aspect of it, in fact. Well, he sent me an email on my personal email, which I never, ever, ever check. I check pinball profile. I check my work one. That's about it. If it's on Facebook, it pops up. That's it. But the other five emails I have, I have to go in. I don't check the beast every day. I don't check my personal one, the Canadian pinball one I don't check. And so he sent me an email and I didn't respond so he thought I ghosted him. And he and Kale and Jamie went on the JBS show podcast and said, I guess they're not airing the podcast I recorded. Maybe, you know, I could kind of sense Jeff turned on me at one point, which is not the case at all. Like it's just this so, poor Ralph, he got paranoid because he thought I didn't like whatever we were talking about. I loved everything we were talking about. It was fascinating. I'd have him on again, but I won't air it for months just to make him sweat. Maybe he didn't get my sense of humor. He was talking about a buddy of his, Mason Conrad, who I'm envious of because he edits a lot of his content. We don't have an editor. I would love an editor. And so I joked and I said, well, he's obviously the real star. And he thought I was serious. Oh, Ralph. Giggle, giggle. Sorry, buddy. But let me, Ralph, if you're listening and all the fans of the JBS show, which you should listen to, it's wonderful. I can promise you I have six other interviews, including one done two years ago that I still haven't edited and aired. But I will. They're just not time sensitive. And I have to prioritize time sensitive things and work and life and all that stuff. So, all right, that's enough of me. You've been busy. Dude, you made a major purchase. Not a pinball machine, Jeff. I bought a house that can hold Pimball machines. I have been looking for a while, maybe seven years on and off, half-heartedly most of the time, but I finally walked into a place that felt like home and I purchased it. I'm going to move in in a couple of months. I got a pretty long settlement. But very interestingly, Jeff, when I tell people that are not into Pinball that I've bought a house, there's usually a bunch of questions they ask me. Oh my God, where is it? What's it like? How many rooms does it have? Where are you going to park your car? You know, there's 17 questions they'll ask before they might say the question that Pinball people ask immediately. It's not where or how much or are you happy? It's, oh, you bought a house, Ryan. Does it fit all of your Pinball machines? Do you have space for all of your Pinball machines? And I laugh, Jeff, because you asked me this question just an hour ago before we started recording. And the answer is, I think so. But for the first time in my life, if a couple of machines have to go, then that's okay. I'm no longer going to let Pinball machines rule where I live and make my house less of a home. So I'm pretty sure they'll all fit in. I'm very spatially challenged. I can't imagine or measure out places. It's got a double garage. It has a workshop next to it. It should be enough. It should be enough to fit them all. Well, I'm really excited for you. And, you know, you and I both after our marriages ended, you know, mine was now what, almost 20 years ago before I met Anne and things have been wonderful. Yeah, you kind of have to, shit, I got to find a place. I got to find a place that can house the kids and stuff like that and still feel like a home and stuff. And it took me a while to, I think I was in my place for five years. So I'm right there with you, right? And then you're like, okay, now I got to get a place. So, yeah, I'm really happy for you. That's awesome. Thanks, man. Yeah, a lot of stuff has been happening. There's that. I think the last time we recorded, I was about to jet off to the Australian Pinball Champs, which was in March, I think. And, geez, it's weird to talk about that now. Esher Lefkoff won, Australian champion Esher Lefkoff. Didn't he just win BPAC this weekend? He did. Oh, spoiler alert. If people can figure that out, whoa. Although he didn't win everything. Didn't Jordan Treadway do well? Yeah, Jordan Treadway, local Melbourne boy that we've talked about a lot. He's a great player. There were four certified events, so four big tournaments, and he won two of them. A guy called Josh Burke, who's an up-and-comer, 21-year-old, he won another. So at a certain point, Escher, who usually wins everything, he won everything at the Australian Champs, Like six out of the seven tournaments or something like that. He had won zero out of three, but he pulled it together for the Brisbane Masters and won it for the fourth year in a row. Congratulations to Escher. Jeff, when I don't perform well in Pinball, I can blame it on a lot of things. There's always an excuse. Sometimes it's just not your day. I feel like usually I'm a better player than how I play because I get in my head and I'm like, all I need to do is do this and then it all falls apart. I'm just in a shit mood and yeah, I still haven't figured that out after eight years or so of playing competitive pinball. And I remember Steven Bowden somewhere had the bad beats story, you know, like you sit there and you tell your friends like, oh, this is happening and this is happening. I just need one more shot, but this happened and someone's phone went off or there was a loud person in the background. There's always an excuse. So I'm going to give you my excuse for playing bad at the Australian Pinball Championships. Okay, I will let you know whether it's a legitimate excuse or you just suck. Again, dodgeball Jeff. He told your amazing dodgeball story last time. I had to stop playing dodgeball Jeff because I'm a very competitive person and when it's pinball, how does that come out? You get angry and you scream at an object. Like, it's, you know, when I'm playing a physical sport and I have to throw a ball, I will throw it as hard as I can. I don't care who I'm throwing it at, you know, a little kid or a granny or a jacked up dude. I can't pull back my anger and my competitiveness. And I threw a ball so hard to Jeff and in the wrong way that I felt a little pop and I didn't know what it was. And a couple of days later my chest really started to hurt And I was unaware what was going on because I never had this injury before but there this thing which I believe is called an intercourseal muscle It's like a muscle in between your ribs and it tears sometimes and it doesn't hurt until a week later usually or a couple of days later. And depending on where it is in your body, I have another one. I got another one two weeks ago and it still hurts. But it's lower down. I couldn't breathe, Jeff, without it hurting. It basically, every time you take a deep breath, it feels like someone's stabbing you in the chest. Shallow breaths only. And, you know, I'm sitting here getting overstimulated at, you know, in this locked area with a hundred and something people around. And that was my excuse, Jeff. It hurt every time I took a breath. Is that a valid reason to play badly? Yeah, I guess if you're not feeling well, for sure. Can I top that? Sure. Those that know, last year at Jagpin at midnight before the playoffs began the next day at 8 a.m., I was in a car crash, a violent car crash, that if we were a fraction of a second faster or a fraction of a second slower, I'd be dead. And I'm not, I actually, I do not like talking about the accident because it unfortunately gives me a little bit of PTSD and stuff. But I remember being in the ambulance and it's now like 1.30 in the morning and like, yeah, we want to take you for x-rays and stuff. And I said, can I go after? I just, well, just because I know I have to be there. Excuse me, I have a pinball. No, it's not that. It's more of, I'm also helping them. Like I'm, it's why I'm there. I'm helping whatever responsibility I had to be there. I was like, I got to do that. I can walk right now. I'm in pain, obviously. And they do a check to see if your legs are broken and your arms are broken and stuff like that. But, yeah, I just went after that. But I couldn't go right away. So I'll give you that because I definitely played like shit. What else was wrong with you? That's about it. I mean, I've got bad issues. You said I had a bunch of things. A bunch of things in my life? Okay, I'll tell you a story. This is definitely a pinball story, Jeff. Excuse me. Oh, cough. That's staying in. Jeff, my back's been pretty effed up for a while. I feel like everyone at this age has some kind of back problem. You know, boohoo. Mine's pretty bad to the point where my back spasmed a couple of months ago and I couldn't walk, basically. I knew that this had happened before and I drove straight to the Osseo and I got out the car and I tried to walk from my car to the Osseo and I had to crawl at some point and then crawling her. Are you serious? I laid on the floor. Yeah, I laid on the floor outside and I couldn't move and two people had to come and pick me up and take me into the Osseo. The Osseo kind of fixed me up. He helped me walk back to my car. At a certain point, I was really close to the car and I was like feeling embarrassed. I said, you can go, you know, I'm fine. He left and the same thing happened again. I had to crawl to my car. Anyway, that's how bad my back spasmed. I went and got an MRI. I'm like, okay, I have to fix my back. What's wrong? Well, years ago I had like a bunch of bulging discs and they were pinging on a nerve. This time I got an MRI and the doctor said after my results, hey, you're full-blown 80s. Uh, you have, your discs are bulging, but they're no longer pressing on a nerve. So your back is actually in better condition now than it was seven years ago, the last time we did this. And I was so confused. I'm like, why does it feel like it's, it's worse? And I'm sure Jeff, you know, people who are like, I've got an osteo, I've got a this, I've got a that, and you should go see him. He's the best. And I've been to all of those people and they never do anything. And the latest person said, I've got a myotherapist. He's the best. I like to keep him secret because I don't want him to book out. Go and see him. I went to visit this guy, Jeff. Do you know what he did? He talked to me for 10 minutes. Close. Fucking close. He talked to me for 10 minutes. It's right in there. There's a worm sensation on my arsehole. Just stick a finger right in there. He asked me to stand up and then he just grabbed my arse, Jeff, without warning. He just grabbed my arse and started to feel around and he was just like, yep, yep, I know what it is. And I'm like, what do you mean? He's like, I know why you're in pain. Well, let me just film this first and we'll show you afterwards. But Jim, come on in here. Grab it. Get it right in there. All right. You got the light on? I'm way in your ass, buddy. We're going to do two cameras, too. I'm going to have a close-up and I'm going to have a far away. I want a side shot, too. Anyway, so this guy grabbed your ass and knew exactly what it was? Yeah. Do you have like the biggest hemorrhoid ever? What is it? Not my arse hole, just my arse. Oh. He, yeah, he said, I've got a grandpa arse. He's like, this guy is a professional. He's like, you've got a grandpa arse, you're quad dominant, you don't use your arse when you hike and when you move. Well, fuck, you crawled into the place for one second. And apparently that's it. And since then, I've been doing squats every day and really working on my booty, Jeff. And I have the least amount of pain that I've had in the last seven years. And I'm grateful that this might be it and I'm still on a journey to get there. But I'm upset that I've spent thousands of dollars going to professionals. And all they need to do was to grope me and check out my ass cheeks and see that they were basically disabled when I was squatting. And that's it, Jeff. Sometimes you need a grown man, a professional, that just cuts the bullshit and just do squats. Just do squats, Ryan. That's all. How is Marty, by the way? Eurovision happened, Jeff. Eurovision happened last time. Oh, did it really? Yes. Did it? I asked Marty if he wanted to come on. He goes, no, I'll just enjoy the show. I said, we've got a lot of movies. But anyway, Eurovision, I think I heard who won. Maybe. It's really nothing here in North America. And it should be something. I think it's cool the fact that they go all over basically every other part of North and South America and cover this thing off. Who won and was it controversial? I think I know the answer though. Well, every year it's getting more and more controversial because of certain countries' involvement and wars happening and countries protesting saying that certain countries should be in. Oh, yes. So there's that. But that country almost won, which would have been an absolute shit show if they did. And the country that won was, I believe, Bulgaria. It's been a while, Jeff. It's been a while, but I think Bulgaria won. Wow. A great catchy song that no one will remember in three months' time, which is, that's Eurovision in a nutshell. I just don't get how they can do voting. Because, like, if you're in the most populated country and you're making the finals, you're probably going to win, right? Are people going to vote for another country? I mean, I could talk about it for a while, Jeff, but clearly you don't understand the voting structure of your religion. I don't, but I'm just, so that's not it? Each country, like 48 countries or so, get a vote, and it doesn't matter. It's not a, like, each country gets a certain amount of points to allocate, and that's it. So it doesn't matter if your country has a high population. So this country gets 10, 000 votes, and that's it? Well, the first 10, 000 votes go in? Not the first 10, 000. No, sorry. So, okay, it seemed like if Canada was voting, Canada would give 12 points to someone, 10 points, 1. They would give a certain amount of votes to countries, and that's it. It doesn't matter if you got a billion votes or 20 votes. Okay, hold on a second. I know how that kind of voting works. So every country votes for themselves. They get the most points, 12 points. That's it. If you want your country to win, you vote for the worst. Yeah, but that's not the spirit of the competition, Jeff. And the votes are also split up into... But you want Eurovision to be in your country next year. You want to have champs. You want the next ABBA. The votes are split up into two. So if Canada's voting, there's a portion of the vote that is the public. And that's the one, I guess, that can be rigged because you can do online voting and, you know, voting bots and all that kind of stuff. That's where a lot of controversy comes from. They're like, I don't think this song from this country was that good. Why are they getting all the votes? I think the Twippies use that formula. And then the second half of the votes in the country... Joke missed! Over your head! ...a panel of judges. Sorry. Fuck! Yeah, I mean, if they can't get it right in Eurovision, then it's funny that in Pimball voting things at the Twippies and... What was the one that Zach Manny did? The Pimball Industry Awards? Don't know. You're never going to be satisfied. Never. All votes can be... Yeah. It's either they can be reeked because it's going to the public, or it's a panel of judges, And it's like, well, they have vested interest in this. So, yeah. Anyway, Eurovision. So that happened. Okay. That happened. I want to get back to movies, but we should probably talk about the fact that you mentioned Transformers has come out. We're going to see Sonic very, very soon. Or have we already seen it? Hmm. Don't know. I will say I haven't seen it. Toten remake? We haven't seen Circus Voltaire yet, although it's supposed to be basically just the same, right? No new code. From American Pinball? We didn't talk about that before. Good, great, I mean you don't have to get an IP for that license, it'll be interesting to see how they do the screen. I do like that Circus World Terror game a lot, I would like to see maybe some new rules as well, play original or play the new version. That's kind of what they do with Toten, right? And Funhaus before that? Yeah, it's interesting if you zoom out and take a look back that remakes have been happening for 10 years now, I think, starting off with Medieval Madness. And the further into the hobby we go and remakes, just naturally, I think, you know, unless they're able to reproduce Indiana Jones or Adam's Family or Twilight Zone, I feel like the success of remakes will dwindle down slowly and slowly. No matter what they do, you know, brand new code, new toppers, new this, new that. Nothing is ever going to hit as much as Medieval Madness and, you know, Attack from Mars. And it's going to get harder to do it. It doesn't mean that it won't happen. I guess just the companies. But even by when Chicago did the fourth one, right? Like, yeah, they did Medieval Attack. I can't remember which was first, but then Monster Bash and then Cactus Canyon. Cactus Canyon offered the new code. So I think they're going more that direction, hopefully. But then they redo another thousand Medieval Madnesses and they kind of sell out pretty quickly. I mean, the demand for, regardless of how good the code is, which I have no idea, the Josh Sharpe Lyman code, it's just, it's a harder sell. You know, like they're still original IPs. When they release Pokemon, you know, you've got this giant push behind it. And Many of the Madness is an original theme, but it has a following. How much of a following did Cactus Canyon have? 960 people, you know, and an average-ish kind of game. Like, it's hard to build that without Led Zeppelin playing on stage, you know, what connection do people have to Cactus Canyon? It's a very niche market. And what I'm saying is that all these kits, you know, Funhaus and is there a Fishtails one? Yes, there is. It's hard. Yeah, it's hard to get people to be like, hey, let's put this Pinball machine in a tournament and let's use the 2.0 codes. People are like, no, if you put Fishtails in, it's going to be the original one, which, you know, as boring as it is, hitting ramps and hitting monster fish. That's what people know and how do you change the community's perception on what you should play. You don't ever play games where you're like, I really like the shots in this game, I just wish there was something a little different in code. I get that a lot. Always, always. Yeah, I'm just saying on a sales perspective, I think it's harder and harder to sell people on that idea. Listen, I've always said Stern's Metallica, the original one that came out, John Borg game, might be my favorite Stern. To me, that's a perfect game. Single ball, wizard mode. Crank it up, baby. Yeah, and then they came out with Revisited, and it's better. It's great. You've got a lot more on there. Shots are a little easier to make, and that thing sold really well. Now when Walking Dead came out, again, another pretty perfect game as far as code. Rest in peace Lyman, but my god you were a genius. And then they come out with this one. I don't think it had the buzz, I know it didn't, as Metallica, but it looked okay. Wasn't as dark as the other one, but didn't do as well, so I'm curious with the next ones. I like that Sern's doing this. There's been a demand. They haven't really knocked on the demand yet for the ones people want. People want, what, Tron and Lord of the Rings? Yeah. ACDC, I think, is the rumored one, and I think that's in the same realm as Metallica, I think. I have an ACDC Pro that I've kind of modded up a little bit. If they did a new ACDC, I don't think I'd get it, though. I'd keep mine. You love Angus's giant face in the middle, don't you? It doesn't get in the way. It doesn't bother me. Yeah. I mean, that's an iconic picture for ACDC fans. If you're not an ACDC fan, yeah, that definitely stands out. But it's no different than seeing Eddie on the Iron Maiden. I have an ACDC premium and I love it. And I still enjoy playing the pro more than the premium. Going down stocks. Because it's so fast and furious. Yes, it's just... Yeah, there are many games... The Pro just keeps you on your toes. Like Black Knight, Sword of Rage, give me the Pro. Let that beat me up. ACDC, give me the Pro. Going down sucks. Munsters, if I had to play one of the two, I'd rather play the Pro. But yeah, so Sonic's coming out. Steve Ritchie, you and I both love him. We like what JJP does. They've got two lines so they'll have Harry Potter on one line still selling well and Sonic which is the video game not the movie. Great move there by the way. Smarter move I think. More connection to people. Haven't seen it yet. It's supposed to be coming out very very soon. Before or after this podcast comes out. So hard to decide. I believe David Thiel, I think, is back at JGP. I should know this. The audio package available to them, you know, we talk about, well, I talk about sounds a lot in Pinball machines. It has the potential to be so satisfying to play, like, collecting rings. I don't think they're coins, they're rings, but they're the equivalent to collecting coins, I guess. Yeah, rings. The sounds that those things make and the sounds of Sonic speeding up, and I'm sure they'll have like an accelerometer or something that's propelling the ball forward. Some magnets? Yeah, some magnets in there. I'm hoping that it'll be a delight to play just from a shot satisfaction and an audio satisfaction point of view. That is where the machine is going to sell. Well, hmm. Curious the price point. I don't know if they've released that yet, but I like the price point they had for Harry Potter. I thought that was good. Yeah, we are in an interesting time in Pinball where machines will either sell out immediately or, you talked about The Walking Dead, Jeff. I had a look on the AMD website just before and that is still available, the limited edition. And one other Pinball machine released in the last four years. There are still LEs available. Can you guess what machine has not sold out of Ali's deal in Australia? John Wick or Venom? John Wick actually sold out. It's Venom. Yeah. Dungeons and Dragons sold out of Ali's allocation. Transformers, immediately. Oh, Pokemon did, for sure. They probably could have done double. Yeah, every Elwin game. Have you played Pokemon yet? Yeah, I've got a Pokemon, of course I've played it. Well, I don't know. It's been a while. Sorry, sorry, sorry. Yes, I do have a Pokemon. I got it. I put it straight in location. I'm like, all right, everyone's bragging about how much money this thing makes. Show me what you got. And it's performing pretty well. It's definitely the top earning Pinball machine. It's not earning more than an arcade machine that isn't a Pinball machine. It doesn't have that earning capacity because it is a Pinball machine. I don't know how long you've had it. A month and a half maybe? In the first month, has it done better than any other pinball machine that like when Jurassic Park came out, when Jaws came out? Yeah, it is the height, like the first month, it's the best pinball machine that I've ever had. Okay. So good for Stern. They need it. Yes. Last year was a tough, tough year. Yeah, I think it's just, it's the theme. But, you know, Spider-Man, my 2007 Spider-Man is only 30% behind it and that was half the price and it's paid itself off many times. Like, it's, you know, that will earn more than, I don't know, what's a machine? Like, if I had Dungeons & Dragons next to it, it wouldn't earn as much as Spider-Man. How much is it a game? The venue that I have, $2 a game, yes. You know, $2 Australian, I'm not sure what that is into US dollars. But I have to do a profit split with the venue. I have to pay GST on that. Like 10% of that is going straight to the government. Yeah, I played it and I heard about the left orbit issues and I put like 15 games on it. And like, this is fine. And then I put it on location. And within two days, a couple of pinball players messaged me and they're like, the ball is going straight down the middle, Ryan. And I realized what it was. And they sent out an official fix kit. But I did a little operator hack. I'm like, I'm going to fix this myself, the Ryan method. And I just bent the ends of that orb at the tiniest little bit. Because what happens, the ball hits it, Jeff, metal on metal, then mushrooms, if that's the right word, like the end of that orbit. So when the ball hits that coming from the top, it just deviates because it's not on the rail. It's hitting like a bird bit of metal. So all I did was bend that like a couple of mil at the end. So when the ball hits it, it doesn't mushroom anymore. Do you like the game? It shoots really well. You already answered it by that pause. Yeah, I mean, it's early code. I feel like every Stern machine, or I'm not going to just say Stern, like it's just, it's boring. It's like really fucking boring to play. Once you get to a certain point, if you get over half a billion, you've seen the game and you can get big points, but it was multiple over and over again. I haven't played the latest code that came out last week. Ooh, when are we recording? But in a year's time, ask me, and as long as it shoots well, then it has potential with the codes. If it shoots like shit and the code is shit, then chuck it in the bin. You won't chuck it in the bin because it's making the mint. No I mean yeah I mean just like you know I mean there so many Pimball machines that come out Jeff so it we allowed to be fussy but it is not for the hardcore Pimball infused When I played the first game I couldn believe that people I know they doing it to you know for collector saving trying to hoard things to make money and whatnot but I couldn believe the prices that people had been paying for the limited edition I understood it when it was happening but when I played my first game I kind of just laughed I was like, holy shit, you guys backed the wrong horse. But it earns money. It'll continue to earn good money. There's still no achievements. I don't think they're going to have achievements. There's no Pokédex. You know, you scan your inside of Kinect. What is a Pokédex? Pokédex. When you collect Pokemon, Jeff, oh my god, I can't believe I'm explaining Pokemon to you again. When you catch them, a Pokédex is kind of like an information, like a computer that will tell you information about the Pokemon that you have collected. And it's like a passport. It's like you get a stamp saying, you have found this Pokemon. Pokemon, and that's the tagline, Pokemon, gotta catch them all. So the object of each Pokemon game is usually to fill your Pokédex. It's to find every single Pokemon and to catch it. So when you play Pokemon, you're catching them, but it's not getting logged anywhere because Insider Connect issues. I was going to say, with Insider Connect, I know there are badges and the hexagons and all that kind of stuff. Doesn't it make sense to have a Pokemon page on there and it shows every single one you've collected? Yeah, that's the plan, Jeff. No, yeah, so I think because of licensing issues, they can't have achievements, I believe. But they can have a Pokédex, but they just haven't built it yet for whatever reason. So it'll come. I'm not sure if it'll backfill your Pokedex with everything you've collected if you've been scanning in, but right now you scan in and all it does is log your high score and that's it. Yeah, missed opportunity right now. But it's award-winning, award-winning Insider Connect. I'm not sure what awards they've won, the Stern Insider, sorry, the Twippies or the whatever it is, but I love that they mention award-winning. Every single time they've mentioned Inside Connect. I'd like to give you an award for surviving pinball after having to crawl to go and get your ass felt up by a doctor. You're the only podcaster I know who's done that, so to me, I'd like to give you the durability award. So whenever we refer to you now, I'd like you to be known as the award-winning Ryan C. If you have an award that you think I might be eligible for, please let me know and then both of us would have that honor and I don't know how many other podcasts. Email in if Jeff was going to get an award, pinball, sorry not pinball profile, what's our podcast name Jeff? Final Round Pinball at gmail.com. In a way I've already, it's not an award, it's an honor. I mean, it's an old story, but my God, it still holds true about being the most efficient player in the history of Australian pinball play. Jaffer is yours truly. It's never, ever been beaten. When are you coming back, Jeff? When are you coming back to Australia? Soon. I'm not sure if I'm going to host pinball tournaments at my house, Jeff. I'm in two minds about it. I mean, I don't need to decide now, but someone else might need to host the Jeff Tiollas Invitational. Yeah, we'll figure it out. I don't know. I mean, you're going to have a big target on your back, Jeff. Like, we tried to get you drunk, but I feel like... Dude, I had a big target on my back, and I knocked every one of you useless countrymen down, like every single one. Countrymen. Yeah, yeah, exactly. Okay, so Toten, what do you think of that, the new Toten? First of all, the original Toten? God, I love that game. And I know, you know, there's not much to do other than hit the... I call it lightning lamp. They call it a lighting lamp, or maybe they fixed that, but did you see that? No, no, you have to tell me. So the original preview or protocol, I don't know what it was, whatever it was, the original game they were showing said lighting lamp, not lightning lamp. Oh. It was a spelling error. Whoopsie, as Bruce would say. So hopefully they fixed that in production, but anyway. Yeah, you ripped the shit out of that. That thing's great. So with new code, I'm curious to see what else they've done there because it kind of was a one-trick pony. You hit the lamp, you hit the orbs, get a big bonus. But I just like the shots. I like the way it looked. I like the sounds. And they're really expensive to buy, those machines. So do you want to buy one that's 35 years old or do you want to buy one that's brand spanking new? We'll see. I think this might be one of the only, I'm not sure how many games John Puppet do release, but I've had World Cup soccer. I've had Circus Voltaire, I've had, what's the magic one? Oh my gosh. Theater of Magic? Theater of Magic, obviously, with the girl on the back glass with the weird boob. There's a weird boob? I haven't even looked at it. Well, it just seems like... God, you are the king of cartoon boobs. It seems like her nipple should be... God, I can't believe we're going to talk about this. No editing, Jeff. It seems like if her nipples were symmetrical, they would be exposed, But the way that it cuts through her boob, she just doesn't have a nipple. They wanted to expose maximum boob without showing a nipple, so they just didn't give her a nipple where it should be. Maybe it's somewhere else. Maybe she's like Kitty off of Arrested Development. Eyes up here, Michael! Eyes up here! Oh, God. What a great show with three seasons of magic. Every episode. Two seasons of not magic. Speaking of magic, movie magic. You've waited long enough. Let's do it. I've seen four movies since the last podcast. You've seen a couple. Oh, keeping that in. Desmond. Desi. Oi. Uh-oh. Oh, here's another dog barking. Yeah. Usually, okay. Give me one sec. Sure. Sure, because I totally wanted to release this without editing, but now we've got some dead air. Hi, everyone. My name's Jeff. Ryan is, I assume, caging Desmond. Did you give him some tranquilizers? What'd you do? Some Advil. I just gave him some Advil. That's not the first time. What movies have you seen? You had a tearjerker for one of them. Yeah, yeah, I saw Toy Story. Toy Story 5. Wait, Toy Story 5. Did we talk about this in this recording, Jeff? Yeah, who knows. Toy Story 5. Yeah, I saw it yesterday with the kids. There was a certain point in the movie that I decided to have a little cry. I had some tears backed up, some emotions backed up, Jeff. When Woody died? When Woody was, yeah, when he lost his hair and he was fat. They really ragged on Woody in this. If you're a fan of Woody, you might be a little bit upset with the latest movie. But yeah, there's a certain point, Jeff, that I think Disney and Pixar just know how to make parents cry, I think. So yeah, much to the surprise of my 11-year-old who looked at me and kind of laughed, being like, Daddy's crying. I'm like, yeah, it's because I fucking love you guys and you guys are growing up. Shut up. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. What's the other movie you saw? Well, the other movie that I saw recently was, it's a couple of years old, Jeff, but I got recommended this movie. Wow, hot take here. Here we go. Hot take. It's called Star Wars. Did you ever watch Poor Things with Emma Stone? No, but I saw, so I do want to see it because she won the Academy Award for it. And she made a movie with the same director called Begonia. And I saw Begonia and thought it was fantastic. So I do want to see poor things. So was it good? Yeah, it's very different than your kind of standard Hollywood movie. It's meant to be a bit disturbing, the first half of the movie, and then it changes from black and white to color. I won't tell you what the premise of the movie is. It's one of those movies where you just watch it and you kind of, like 30 minutes in, you kind of figure out what's going on and it's just beautiful to watch this weird, funny movie. It's actually quite funny. Well, I saw four movies. One was supposed to be funny. It was called Scary Movie. The Wayan Brothers, coming back after years. And I think I saw it in the theater. A lot of people were laughing, but there was a little haze in the air, too. I'll just say that. So I didn't partake. So they weren't as funny to me. There were some good scenes, but yeah, it's not a movie I ever... Thumbs up, thumbs down for me are, do I ever need to see this again? Yes or no? And if I don't, whatever. What was that beep in the background there? I don't know. Oh. I didn't hear a beep. It's staying in. I have noise-canceling headphones on, so... It might have been my phone. Anyway, so scary movie. Yeah, it's fine. Wait for it to come out. What else did I see? I saw Disclosure Day. That's the Spielberg big spectacular movie about aliens are here and we're going to reveal that the aliens are here. It's a movie really about how would we react. What was that in the background? That's the dog that's going crazy next door, which Desmond was barking at. But you've hogtied Desmond with a muzzle, so we won't be disturbed. Desmond is sedated. Disclosure Day. Great to visually look at. It's one of those movies. I'm not going to spoil anything, by the way. But if you've watched the trailer, sorry, it's been spoiled. I fucking hate when they do that, when trailers give way too much. And you know, I've even watched in the theater. I don't even remember the movies, but they were showing like a trailer. I'm like, this trailer's going on and on and on. And it showed the whole basically story. I'm like, I don't need to see that now. They show you the twist. They show you everything. I'm like, this is stupid. Really? Oh yeah. So Disclosure Day, watch the trailer. You've seen the movie. Okay, well how about if I don't watch the trailer because I haven't seen it? Will I enjoy the movie? Maybe. Yeah, probably. I mean, it's visually, it's eye candy. It's good. The acting is great. Emily Blunt's awesome in it. But I was so hyped to see this movie because Spielberg doing sci-fi is pretty cool. And as I'm watching the movie, I'm like, oh, I'm still waiting for this scene to happen. Oh, there it is. Still waiting for this scene to happen. Oh, fuck. It's at the end of the movie. I'm pretty good with that stuff, Jeff. I can watch a trailer. It'll motivate me to watch the movie. And then during the movie, it's like the trailer gets deleted and I can't remember because it's such quick cuts and takes that I, yeah. I feel sorry for you if you can remember the entire trailer while you're watching. Comedies are the worst because they tell you the joke and then you see this great joke in the theater but you've already laughed five times because you've seen the trailer five times. Here's two movies I saw that I never saw. Not only did I not see the trailer, I just went on recommendations that these are great movies and you should go see them. And guess what? They were. I don't even know if you've heard of these movies. By the way, I don't even think they cost a million dollars to make these movies. The first was Backroom. Have you heard of it? I've seen the poster. It's a sci-fi horror that goes for an hour and 51 minutes. Off the top of your head? Reaching into the memory banks, yeah. Yeah, yeah, sure. That's like a Martyism. Oh, you mean starring blah, blah, blah, blah. It's a tale of this? Yeah. Marty was so quick. I'm reading off the flyer. Fuck. He was AI enhanced before AI came out. Yep. Anyway, yeah, Backroom's pretty cool. I wasn't crazy about the ending, but it's suspenseful, right? Because it's kind of a scary movie and it was good. Again, well acted. What I liked about it was just how original it was. You don't see too many original movies or new IPs and things like that. This one checked all those boxes, but not as much as the next movie. Also a low budget movie that has made hundreds of millions of dollars. It's a movie called Obsession. Do you know anything about it? Yeah, it's an hour and 48 minutes long. It's a rate of MA15 in Australia starring director Curry Baker. Yeah, I know a little bit about it. Well, what's it about? It's about a man who's obsessed with a lady and he will do nothing. Nothing will get in his way until he makes sweet, sweet love to this lady, including killing everyone who gets in his way. Well, that's not the movie. I don't know. I think you added some there. But it's a guy who does love a girl, but he's a little shy. I think this is in the trailer. I'm not giving away anything. This is all I knew going into it, and I'm not saying anything else. I really like her, but I just wish she loved me more than anybody else in the whole world. And this wish comes true. And she goes, cuckoo for cocoa. Is there some kind of sci-fi? No, it's a horror movie. It's freaking great. Watched it last night. I'm going to watch it. I hate horror movies because I'm a chicken shit. Like I forgot what movie it was I watched. Oh, Backrooms. I'm sitting with a popcorn bag in front of my face and saying to my son, like, what happened? What happened? I can listen to it. I just can't see it. What happened? I hate jump scares. I'm a chicken shit. Anyway, but Obsession. Great movie. Backroom, great movie. Disclosure Day, if you haven't seen the trailer, it's fun, sure. Scary movie, you can pass. Toy Story 5 sounds good. I've got a couple of movies I'm planning on seeing this weekend. Before we move on from Obsession, Jeff, my 14-year-old kid snuck into Obsession a couple of weeks ago and then left because she said it was too scary. It was. Well, maybe it was, yeah, I'm pretty sure it was that. And I was kind of, it sounds weird, maybe a bad parenting moment, but I was kind of proud of her for, you know, figuring out how to sneak into a movie, but also proud of her for leaving when she realized it was too scary. Sure. Let's have that conversation when you're like, I was kind of proud of her when she snuck into a bar and got pissed faced. She used fake ID. She figured out fake ID before I realized how to use it. What a brilliant little kid. Wow. Well, I think. It's just a movie. Listen, at movie theaters, especially big plexes where there's like 12 theaters, they check your ticket when you go in. They don't hear anymore, Jeff. You can go wherever the hell you want. I went to Toy Story yesterday and they didn't, no, but they didn't even check at the door for Toy Story. Like in the middle of the day on a Sunday, I guess in the middle of the day is not the busiest time, but they, maybe 50% of the time here in Australia, they check your ticket. You can literally just walk in. I don't even know why I buy tickets anymore. All right, Australian fans, you listen to Final Round. You want to be up to date on the movies. Now you know it's not going to cost you anything, but now go see these recommendations. Just walk in. You know what? Bring in your own bag of popcorn. Bring in not a Foster's because only tourists drink Foster's. Bring some beer. Watch some World Cup action that's going on right now. What is that? Is that what? I saw it. It is pretty much through. All the host nations are through. What a dream. I did watch the Australia-US game. Oh, when did that happen? I woke up and I was potentially going to go and watch it and after the own goal in the first 10 minutes I stayed in bed. What time did it air there? 5 a.m. Oh, that sucks. Yeah. But yeah, we can still get in. I just need either a draw or a win. It's kind of embarrassing to not get into the, not embarrassing, but now that they've expanded the... Canada's never made it. We just got our first ever win. Yeah, but there's 48 teams now. Usually there's 32. So I think the top, yeah, the bottom 16 teams are getting eliminated. So yeah, the round of 32. Smart money-wise, right? Yes, they're really, I mean, FIFA and money goes hand in hand. Do you know that, hold on a second here. I'm not going to edit that out. I just dropped something. So where Toronto plays, Toronto FC is a place called BMO Field, BMO, Bank of Montreal Field. They didn't pay, even though that's the license name of the stadium, they didn't pay FIFA. So FIFA calls it Toronto Field and they had to make all the BMO signs disappear. So they got the naming rights for how long and because they didn't cut a check to FIFA. Yeah, I think the same thing happened in Seattle too. I think it's Reliance Stadium. They just called it Seattle Stadium. I definitely know they did this for New York when they played in New Jersey at Giant Stadium. That's where the NFL New York Giants played. They just called it New York Stadium. It's not even a sponsored name. It's just the name of the team. That's great. FIFA, man. Holy cow. There are so many organizations that are powerful that can pull moves like that. You can scratch your head, but sometimes it's kind of just impressive. I was in Tasmania for a festival called Dark Mofo and the guy who runs it shuts down the entire, like a half a city block at night to run an event four times in two weeks. Like he literally shuts, like all the businesses in there can't run after a certain time and I have no idea if he pays the businesses for loss of business or if the government is just like, this is too important for tourism so you just got to deal with it. What's it called? Um, it's called Dark Mofo and no, Mofo doesn't stand for motherfucker. It's, uh, it's, it's something else. I can't remember what it is. It's a weird festival. It's like the, the logo is kind of a cross upside down. So Christians hate it. Uh, it's kind of like a slightly demonic, uh, is it demonic? I don't know. Yeah. Why'd you go to it? Well, I had a pentagram and I had a goat that needed to be sacrificed. You know, when in Tasmania, why the hell'd you go to this thing? And I've heard about this festival for so long, and this is the reason why I wasn't at Brisbane Masters, because I kind of overlapped a little bit. It's just too hard to figure out what it's going to be like and how it works, because there's all these events, and I don't know which one is worth going to. And someone organized us, someone in the group was like, I've been before, get this ticket, this ticket, we're staying here. And it made it too easy for us, and I went and had a grand old time, Jeff. Would you go again, or is it a one and done? No, it's different every year. I saw the weirdest thing, Jeff. Oh, no. Actually. I was explaining to my son about, I don't know how the name Tex Peckerwood came up, but I was explaining to him that years ago on Head to Head, you and Marty got me on to talk about your trip when you went to Vegas and you basically paid a girl to kick you in the nuts. and Sheriff Tex Peckerwood came on looking for some son of a bitch from Australia who's going around getting bagged. And then somehow Tex Peckerwood came back. So you've now just said there's something weirder than getting kicked in the nuts. Go on. It's really wanky to talk about the festival because the only way you can talk about it is through a series of long stories, which we don't, I don't know if we have time to talk about all of them, but I'm sending you a picture, Jeff, of something that my friend took this picture. She was not meant to take the picture. It's a no phone zone. And she sneaked the picture. And I said, how dare you? I can't believe you're disrespecting them like that. And as soon as it finished, I walked up to her. Are those real people? Send me the photo. Yep. They are holding tables seemingly with their mouth. What the fuck? Yeah. They're not holding them with their mouth, are they? They were dead still, Jeff. And they were moving their hands a little bit You can tell they were real people Well they got hands behind their back They not holding it with their mouth We talked about this for four days Jeff and everyone had different opinions on what was going on and what we saw Can we post it? No, no, we can't. Okay, do an AI version of it. Do an AI version of it. No, seriously. This guy travels around the world and this is like something that you see and the fact that we're even talking about it is a spoiler. So I want to kind of respect his artwork in some way by not posting the photo. So let me just describe it. Let me describe it. There are 12 people on the bottom standing. 14 people. 14 people standing. 14, 10, 6, and 4. All right. Just let me explain this for a second. 14 people on the bottom and in their mouth, they're holding a rectangular table. That's pretty impressive. Not yet. Ten people are standing on top of that table, and in their mouth is another rectangular table in which six people are standing on top of that. Not enough? Add four on top with a table in their mouth. This is insane. There's no way. Did you walk in and see that? Okay, there is a picture online of it. Post it. In newspapers, so I can post it. Yeah, there were a lot of theories about what was going on and we did the mass and like the people at the bottom are holding over 100 kilos in their mouth each. I think... How much have you put in your mouth? A sausage worth, Jeff. I thought that half the people were wax figures because you can't get close to them and they were the structure. But we've been told by some people in the know that they're all real. I think there's a structure going through their body. I think you're made to view it at a certain angle and there's a structure that you can't see. Coming up underneath their chin? Yeah, underneath their chin, down their leg, into their feet, you can't see it because... It's like when you walk by and you see somebody sitting on a pole. Levitating, yeah. Well, it's pretty cool. But yeah, you walk in there and you feel like... When I say those people were still Jaff, apparently they were told in the later viewings to move a little bit more And one person was told to cough every time because they were so still that you, yeah, people were like, well, these are just, these people aren't real. So what am I looking at? What are they getting paid to do this? It's just a weird, it's a weird festival, Jeff. Just weird stuff happens. There's, yeah, it's a good time. Yeah. If you like, if you like art, if you like. Satan. You know, if you love art, if you love Satan, do you know how they finish off this festival? It's a two week festival, Jeff. Over 1, 000 people sacrifice a lamb to our Lord Saviour, the devil. No, they jump into the ocean. It's called the solstice swim on the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year. So it's cold? In the Southern Hemisphere. It's cold as fuck. In Tasmania, it's colder than it is here. It's, you know, 7 degrees in the morning or less. Sure. People strip down nudes, and they pay for a ticket to do this. And I think 1, 500 people jump into the ocean. You can look it up if you want. You didn't send that photo. I wasn't there for the second week, Jeff. But I have to go soon, Jeff. But I do want to tell – I will tell you one random story about what happened. This is not Pimball or art-related, so I'm sorry. But it is a story that you might appreciate if you have time. Do you have a couple of minutes, Jeff? Sure. Are you going to be able to get the song and the image? Because I want to release this right away. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Okay. Like tonight? Yeah. Because I'll give you the clue. It's Monday. It's the end of the show. I'm going to tell you when we're recording. It's the end of the show. We're recording this on Monday, June 22nd. How quickly will I release this? I'll laugh if it's in August. You won't laugh if it's four hours from now. Have you ever accidentally made eye contact with a beautiful lady? As in you're looking past them, you're looking for someone, And then you focus your vision closer and you realize that a person thinks that you've been staring at them. I'm sure. It happens in movies. There's not to be a beautiful person. I've done it. Tons of people like. It goes the other way too where someone's waving you and they're looking directly at you and you wave back and you see the person run up behind them like, hey, Jimmy. This happened to me around dinner time at like a night market and I'm looking for my friends. I've lost all of them and I'm staring through this person and I focus and she is smiling at me and she is gorgeous. And I won't say out of my league, but like not, oh, by the way, I'm single. You know, it's been a long time since the last podcast, so you might be confused listening to this. And she's smiling at me and I'm like taking it back. I'm like, whoops, I didn't realize. And anyway, she walks up to me and she's like, oh, my God, I love your hat. I was wearing a cowboy hat with lights on it because it's very easy to lose everyone at this festival and I was lit up like a beacon. Hold on a second. I want to get a good visual. You're not crawling around to get around. There's no doctor behind you squeezing your ass. You're just by yourself here, right? You're breathing normally. You're not taking short little breaths? I'm in peak physical condition, Jeff. This is Ryan at his best, most confident self. Last visual, because this never, I think we talked about it so I can bring it up. Did you have the shoe polish on your hair or your beard? The what? The last time I did a visual FaceTime with you. Listen, I've gone gray. I haven't accepted it, but I know it's there. Whereas I'm looking at you and I'm like, hey, Elvis, nice black hair. So are you, do you got any salt and pepper in there or are you fully just. Salt and Pepper, there's Salt and Pepper, no shoe polish this time. Okay, all right, continue. She's smiling at me, she walks up to me and she's like, I love your outfit, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, like just a little tiny conversation. And, you know, and then I found my friends and that was it. Two hours later, walking through the city, I hear someone scream out and it's her again. She's like, ah, it's the guy in the cowboy hat. And I wave and I'm walking the other way. Later on that night, 1 a.m., I'd see her at, it wasn't a club, it's just a place to have drinks with your friends. And there was music playing and she walks up to me and she's like, oh my God, we keep on bumping into each other. And because I've got lights on my head, I'm just sick. Hold on a second. You have a cowboy hat with lights on your head? I wrapped some $5 fairy lights on top of my cowboy hat. And it just made me stand out because, as I said, I was in a group with 10 people. Everyone goes walkies. You can't come to each other anymore. It's an award-winning hat. This girl starts flirting with me to the point where, well, I was in kind of disbelief. I'm like, surely this girl is not into me and she's flirting with me. And there's three or four guys hanging around her, kind of like guarding her. And I'm like, is one of these guys her boyfriends? And she whispers to me like, oh, all these guys want to sleep with me tonight, but I don't want to sleep with any of them. And my brain goes to like, why is she telling me this? Is this because she wants to sleep with me? Have I been chosen? Why is she divulging this information to me and why am I more desirable than these other people? Anyway, continue to chat a little bit. The guys are trying to usher her away. I asked her if she's been to Greenies. Greenies is like a secret nightclub within a nightclub. We all go there. The guys follow. I managed to get her away for two minutes to kind of chat. Two minutes. You got the job done. Well done. That's awesome. I know what happens in two minutes. And she starts mentioning something about how she wants kids one day. Uh-oh. I mentioned that I've got kids like a 14-year-old and she gasps. And this conversation has happened many times before, Jeff, and the next line is always the same thing. It's always, you have a 14-year-old kid. No way. I thought you were 30-something years old. Like, how can you have had a kid? That's not what she said, Jeff. Do you know what she said? Yeah, I'm in the same class as your daughter. What'd she say? She said, you have kids. Oh my God. I thought you were gay. I was like, oh my God. And then just all of the entire night came flashing back. I'm like, that's why she's being so nice to me because I'm the safe, I'm the safe gay person. And, you know, it took me a while to process it. It took her a while to process it. And we're just like, huh? And I'm like, so do you find me attractive? She's like, yeah, but me and all of my friends before when you met me all thought you were gay because you're wearing a cowboy hat with lights on it and a leopard jacket. And I'm like, sure. Okay. This is, yep. Okay. I'm like, all right. I've wasted an hour of my life. I would take it as a compliment. Sure. No, I would. Take it as a compliment. She just told you she's not looking to sleep with guy A, B, C, D. She's just looking for a nice person or whatever. You're a charming guy. I would take it as a compliment. You're non-threatening. Yes, I'm very non-threatening. Almost too non-threatening for certain people. Anyway, Jeff. Interesting that that happened where you're wearing a cowboy hat with fairy lights. I just don't see the connection, but go on. Do you want a picture of that as well, Jeff? No. She then, the next thing that came out of her mouth was, I'm going to give you my number, though. By the way, she lives in Queensland, which is an 18-hour drive from where I live. She's like, I'm going to give you my number, though, and I want you to message me. And in my head, I'm like, for what reason? This is over. But, like, sure, I got my phone out, got her number. While I'm getting her number, the lady who's running this secret wanky house party that you don't even know about, you just have to go down this back alley, she's running it like a house party and she comes around with some chicken nuggets and I'll visit to the lady, she says no and I'm like sure. I shove two chicken nuggets in my mouth. I'm chewing. I finish getting her number. I look at her to say goodbye. She grabs my face and starts kissing me, Jeff, out of nowhere. And I'm very confused because I'm still eating chicken nuggets. It's still in your mouth? I'm like five bites into two chicken nuggets in my mouth. Think of the festival you're at, all right? We've heard this podcast. We know you love birds. Maybe she's also a bird lover. She thought you were going to feed it like a mother bird feeding it to babies. It is a weird festival. Yeah, it's a satanic ritual. It's a good kiss, Jeff. So I pushed her away and I was like, at least let me finish eating what I'm eating. So she does. And then she goes in for another kiss and she pulls away after two or three seconds. And she's like, yeah, you do taste like chicken nuggets. And that was it, Jeff. That was the end of my night. And that was her walking off. And I was so confused. I'm like, one minute I'm gay. The next minute she's sucking the chicken out of my mouth. Wow. I'd like to say that is, I'd like to say that's the most interesting stranger kiss you've ever had. But I know differently. And I'll just leave it at that. Patreon, hit me up. I'll give you the deets. Oh, that one. No, we told that story on the... We did not, did we? Oh, it was on Head to Head. It was on Head to Head. The last Head to Head. Sorry. At least you didn't get Razor Brain. Anyway. Hey, man, I got some editing to do. Maybe. You got to make a song. Oh, God. Because I want to get this out. Who knows? We now know this is being recorded on June 22nd. Sonic comes out on the 23rd. Boy, wouldn't it be something if it came out before then? Oh my God, the Loser Kid guys would be just livid, right? We've got to be the first one to have the show. And then they say, what's this final round dropping right away? What's going on here? It has nothing to do with Sonic. Don't worry, Loser Kid. We know our lane. Nothing to do with him. We know our lane. We're just here to talk about Suckin' Face and Chicken Nuggets. Name of the episode. What is the name of the episode going to be? I don't know. How about No Editing? Sure. For Immediate Release. There's a famous thing, I don't know if you've ever seen the meme, We'll Do It Live! You ever seen Bill O'Reilly do it? Yeah, yeah, Crackin' the Shed. I mean, this is, if I release it as, I mean, it's almost, I got to get to bed soon. But if you can get that to me quick. All right. Oh, boy. Where can people reach us? Let's do it. Finalroundpinball.com. You'll find all of our links there. Email us at finalroundpinball at gmail.com. Follow us on all social medias for no reason at all because we don't post at all on them. Hey, you got to do that. I'll do Facebook. I say I'm going to do it. I'm never going to do it, Jeff. I've come to the realization that I lie when I say I'm going to do it. I just, I can't. It's just not in me to be a social media person and hype up anything I'm doing. Sure, but you'll fucking text somebody 18 hours away that's got a face full of chicken nuggets. You can't fucking put up... What if she's listening right now? Jesus Christ. Well, hello. Hello, lady who was possibly... What was her name? Did you even get her name? I did. Oh, I got her number. So, yeah, I got her name. Do you want to see a picture? No, I'm not going to... Yes, I do. Come on, dude. What was her name? It doesn't matter. It's so hard. I make out with so many strangers when I'm eating nuggets. It was a shit. God. Do you take breath mints before you walk into McDonald's and just like, okay, this could fucking happen here. Little Mickey D's. What do you guys call them? Mackers. Yeah. All right. I'm done. See you. All right. See you, Jeff. Bye. The final round. Forgot what we were talking about. It's always just been two weeks. Since Jeff and Ryan hit record, no matter if it's Easter or a flood or a civil war. They swear they'll do it weekly, but somehow time bends and creaks. Calendar's a liar, baby, it's always just been two weeks. Sonic's gonna save us, Jersy Jack's gotta hit, Arabian Nights remake, maybe sells, maybe it's shit. Nobody knows, nobody cares, we're all just guessing, it expands the chance. Hey! It's only been two weeks, that's what everybody speaks. Turn the mics up loud and preach Jep and Ryan rocking geeks. Pinball dreams and weird techniques Bad love stories pull up late It's only been, it's only been two weeks. Everybody's got a story About the day they played like crap Jett was in a car collision, still took a beating on the map. Ryan's tale's much stranger, and frankly hard to discuss. A man touched his butt in class and his back went out and he couldn't breathe much. He gasped for air, fell out his chair, still managed to multiball somewhere. Hey! It's only been two weeks, that's what everybody speaks. Turn the mics up loud and freaks, Jeff and Ryan rocking deep. Pinball dreams and weird techniques, that love story's Poto-Bleaks. It's only been, it's only been two weeks. Jaffa, Godzilla, Iron Mare, Guns N' Roses. Before you enter paradise, what's the bathroom code, you loon? What's the code? Where do I pee? That's the greatest mystery. Jeff watched Obsession late at night and nearly jumped right out his skin. Ryan's 14-year-old snuck right in. Proud parenting with a grin. Nightmares all around the house, everyone screaming in fear, but Jep still checked under his bed for haunted pinball engineers. And Ryan met a lovely lady roaming, shouting in the moonlight glow, leaned in for the perfect kiss with a chicken nugget in his mouth. Barbecue sauce, passion and shame, still somehow got her name. Hey! It's only been two weeks, another episode for freaks, sonic spines and bathroom leaks, Jersey Jack and hot takes cheap. Jaffa, Godzilla, Iron Mare, Guns N' Roses. Seriously, Jeff, what's the bathroom code? What's up? None of this has recorded. Are you serious, Jeff? Yeah, I'm fucking serious. Why? Because remember you said, do I start a new one? You said no, just start the same one. So here we go. That was a great practice. Let's do it again. Fuck. Do we need to refresh the browser? Is it a browser issue? No, I can see it going now. No, I see it. Okay, that's right. We didn't really talk about anything. Okay, let's tighten it up. Give them the good stuff. No editing and no recording. No nothing. Hopefully people are listening. That is terrible. I mean, at least you figured it out now and not 50 minutes in. I just looked up and I'm like, shouldn't there be a VU meter or something? A big red square? Hmm, nothing. What's that word paused mean? Oh, shit. Alright, here we go.
