December 26, 2025

Good morning everyone. Christmas is over, so it’s back to work :) . I hope that you all had a great Christmas, Hanukkah or whatever you celebrate.

Last article I looked into my crystal ball and talked about what games I think Stern Pinball will release in 2026. Today I want to take a look at what games we may see from other pinball manufacturers. Some of this is new information that I’ve gathered this week and other parts have been written about here or elsewhere previously (so no need to tell me that in the comments lol).

Let’s start off with Chicago Gaming Company (CGC). CGC is currently finishing up its latest 1,000 machine run of its Medieval Madness remake. The games sold out so quickly that they decided to do yet another 1,000 unit run of the game for the U.S. and Europe immediately after this one.

So what game is next after all of these Medievals are done? That is the question. My money is on a new pinball machine based on Halo. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the franchise, here’s a short description:

Halo is a military science fiction media franchise, centered on a series of first-person shooter video games, that began with Halo: Combat Evolved in 2001. Developed by Bungie and now managed by 343 Industries, the series follows the supersoldier Master Chief in a conflict against alien threats like the Covenant and the Flood, and has expanded to include real-time strategy games, novels, and a TV series.

Halo is rumored to be the next game designed by Play Mechanix and built by CGC, like their first collaboration, Pulp Fiction. The game will most likely be designed by industry veteran Mark Ritchie with code by new Play Mechanix employee Tim Sexton and Josh Sharpe. I have heard that CGC is trying to have the game ready in time for the Chicago Pinball Expo, which takes place from October 14th through the 17th, 2026.

Next, let’s talk about Spooky Pinball. Spooky is finishing up its 888 unit run of its 2025 game Evil Dead. They have already started building the 999 unit run of the game for 2026, Beetlejuice. There’s a number of rumors out there about Spooky’s future games. My money is on the 1985 film The Goonies being next. Other possibilities include the 1984 film Gremlins, the band Mötorhead and South Park.

If Goonies is next, I’m in for my first Spooky game. I love that movie. I’m already on the list to get one. If you’re interested and you aren’t on a list yet, I suggest that you get on one too. The last two Spooky games sold out, Beetlejuice in record time.

Other rumored pinball machines for 2026 include:

\- Dutch Pinball’s long-awaited Back to the Future later in the year, possibly revealed at Pinball Expo.

\- American Pinball’s claims that is has another pin coming later in 2026. I have not heard any specific rumors about it. If you have any, let me know :)

\- There’s been talk that Pedretti Gaming is doing a remake of Capcom’s 1996 game Big Bang Bar.

\- Pinball Brothers will also likely have a new pin in 2026 after its short production run of Predator. It is rumored to be a similar nostalgic 80s theme, but I haven’t heard anything beyond that. Again, please reach out if you’ve heard anything more specific.

\- There’s talk of a new Swiss company called World Pinball releasing a pin based on the Capcom franchise Resident Evil this spring, but I don’t have any specifics on that.

\- I know of at least two other U.S.-based companies that would like to launch their first game in 2026. Fingers crossed that they come out.

\- Jersey Jack pinball is strongly rumored to be releasing a Steve Ritchie pin based on Sonic the Hedgehog, possibly as early as the Texas Pinball Festival in March.

\- Barrels of Fun will finish up its 525 unit production run of Winchester Mystery House in the first half of the year. I have no idea what theme is next from them, they are really good at keeping secrets.

Whew. That’s a lot of awesome games coming next year. And that doesn’t even mention other companies that I don’t know anything about the future plans for like Multimorphic, Turner Pinball, etc… 2026 is shaping up to be another awesome year for the hobby. I can’t wait to talk about it with everyone!
