## Transcript

You got one used. Someone else had to deliver it. It's bad. Somehow, it's like, what? Hardly bad. It's not that old. Fresh Pinball. Still has fun in that life. No, no, no. Welcome, everyone, to the season premiere of Season 5 of the Fresh Pinball Podcast. Can't believe we have another fresh season for everyone. Upon us here, after that season finale. Epic season finale. Epic. It was such a good... It was a long one, too. If you haven't had a chance, go back to Season 4, take a listen to the season finale. Yeah, there's some references that you might need for this one. Definitely some things, some spoilers. Definitely some shit I'm never talking about again. No, we'll pretend like it didn't happen. Anyway, here we are again to my right on the board. We have freshly full of pizza. Mr. Kyle, how we doing, buddy? Doing well. How are you tonight, Jeff? I'm feeling good. It's been too long. I'm excited to talk about some of the new and exciting things and some old and less exciting things. And some of that other stuff that we're never talking about again. Just all the And across from the table from me is Mr. Zach Angeli. How we doing, buddy? I'm flipping fantastic. How are you doing, Jeff? I'm doing very, very well. That's good. And to my left, Mr. Info at MadPinball.com himself, Corbin Angeli. How we feeling, buddy? Doing good, doing good. Just excited to be all together. It is nice to be together. Hanging out, talking about the debauchery and chaotic things. There's a lot of stuff that's happened. I don't even remember the last time. I think since the finale, we just start at the beginning or at the end. It's a beautiful random 82 degree day here today. 82 is more than that, man. 86 maybe earlier? Definitely. I was heading over here and I was like, oh, who's this motorcycle behind me? I threw a banana peel out. It was like his Mario Kart. Got to get that blue shell. I let him pass me. That's scary. On my way over, I was thinking, you know, it'd be so easy, everyone just kind of wants that low-hanging fruit of, oh, you know, let's talk about the new rumors, Sonic, and Transformers, and whatever else. Transformers? But here's what I'm saying. I'm trying to pick up a 2014 one. That's right. I got a good lead on one. I sent that guy to you. Don't you worry. Okay. It's kind of pushy. Well, yeah. Anyway. I want to ask each of you, what are you playing right now, and what the heck are you enjoying out of it? This is what I was thinking about on the way over, because I obviously have an answer to my own question. That's good. But I know that you have some interesting games post Pinbrew and post everything else that have been, you know... I don't have anything else. So what have you been playing and enjoying, Corbin? Me. We'll start with you because I think you probably, you and Zach I know for sure have like the crazy stuff passing through. I've been, you know, I've been playing a whole lot but when I do play I've been playing Winchester House. I literally had somebody text me the other day like, hey where did Winchester House end up? And I'm like, as a matter of fact, my dining room is looking real good. No, so that's there and then I've got, I've been playing Champion Pub because I like that game. And then I still have that Medieval Madness, but that's about it right now that I have there. So did Alice end up with your dad? Yeah. Nice. Yeah. But actually, it's going to go down to Penny's this week. So what about Winchester House? I know... It'll go out this week. I was going to last week, but I just couldn't do it. That's fine, whatever. What have you been loving about it, though? It's just a cool game. I just love the overall... There are many things about it. The vibe. It has a cool vibe. It's just such a... I just like to hit it around and have a good time. I've added a, obviously, as you guys know, and have experienced the ceramic ball, so don't be surprised. And, uh, no, so the ceramic ball for the uninitiated is the glass ball that's probably best known for Twilight Zone. And there's one in Stones. Powerball. Avatar. Stern Avatar. Yeah, yeah. Give it back. I feel like there was one other, maybe. I do like that. That back mech is very interesting. The more... Scott Denis C. Stroud. Yes. All Powerballs. The Fathom. When we first got it. Oh, God. Oh, it was so good. Some days I think about taking it back to that. Dude, they're playing that a lot of the corner up. Oh, I'm sure they're. So the back mech that you're talking about in Winchester is the turntable, correct? The turntable, yeah. I've been really enjoying it. It's just interesting. The more you play it, the more positions it's in so you can see how it interacts. So have you been under the – I have not been under the hood of that one at all. Is that turntable like all – I know it's motorized and then positioned with optos? Yeah. Okay. I even dug into it too deeply. I just briefly looked at it. I was just curious. But it's optos. It seems like an opto positioning type deal. Because it always calibrates itself too. Right. Because it reminded me a little bit whenever it gets into position is like what Rotation 8 does whenever it gets into position. It locks in. Or it'll lock it in. For sure. I know when we unboxed it and had it out at Pinbrew, that was the game that after hours I just wanted to crank as many possible credits on as humanly possible. I didn't check a whole lot of play counts, but that one had 500 plays on it. Because we unboxed it there. It played nonstop. Alice, I think, wasn't far behind it. So, quick story of Alice. So, as we're at Pinbrew and I'm hitting and I'm playing that, you know, I put a good number of games on Winchester. I'm like, I need to put some on Alice. And the big thing on Alice that everyone was kind of knocking was that the call-outs were cheesy and the stupid voice of the main person on it is whatever. And there's basically one ramp up the middle of the game. And I'm like, I'm a ramp guy. I always want to shoot the ramp, so I'm going to shoot the ramp. Hit the ramp, it feeds back to the right flipper. Shoot the ramp, it feeds back. How many times in a row can I hit this ramp? So every two times that you hit it, you would get a different call-out. So the first one, you know, after two times of hitting it, spectacular, and then amazing, and then whatever, and then on the twelfth time that you hit it, it was like, you know, there's more to this game than just ramps. I'm like, oh, man. I like that game. I don't think, I don't know if we've had a chance to talk about it since we've gotten it, but that game when I had it at home pre-Pembro for a couple days was a very beautiful, very cool, very fun game. I know there's a lot of hate on it, but I'll say it. It turns out you've got to, like, really jack it up for it to play properly. Yeah, and also add a Powerball. It definitely needs that speed element to it. And then I'd only played previous to the one at Pinbrew, yours. I'd put two balls on it at Expo the year that they debuted it. That's the only. Well, I guess I played it at Ron's. Oh, yeah, we did. I did worry about that. But yes, yes. But I really feel like I kind of play it. Yeah, I feel like I really got to know it at Pinbrew, and once I started to get to know it and understood, like, oh, okay, well, this is where you want to go for this and where you want to go for that pinball stuff, you know, rules, whatever. You know, I don't know. I get into a game sometimes whenever it's new to me and I'm just exploring and seeing, like, you know, knocking the ball around and seeing what happens. That game is very, like, specific. You want to get to certain areas to get it to do certain things, and if you're not doing those things. You're just going to bounce around. You're not going to do anything. For sure. You're not accomplishing anything at all. For sure. So yeah, that game, Alice was cool too. Champion Pub though, I'm glad that you got that at home for a little while. It needs a little bit of love, so it'll hang out. Not a super deep game, but it's one of those ones where it's like scared stiff where you just walk up to it and immediately you're like, I can probably see the majority of this game. Oh yeah, you're going to do the jump rope, you might get in a boxing match. It's never always going to happen, man. So Zach, you have the Zach Angeli Brewing Company open in full force right now. It is open for the summer right now, yes. A lot of different games passing through the garage. Yes, there's been a lot coming through lately. So what have the boys been? Oh, yeah, go ahead. Oh, both Walking Dead's here for a single night, which was pretty cool. So that was the original premium and then the remastered premium. Correct. Very cool. Yeah. The boys are excited about the Hot Wheels out there and the original Jurassic Park. To the east. The T-Rex eat the ball. Yeah. I mean, you can't go wrong with that. But I've been playing TTF still, and it's so good for obvious reasons. So, so, so, so good. It's just the whole overall theme, everything. I love the music, I love the campiness of the videos, the call-outs. There's some cool modes. These are really cool, which multiball is it? Airstrike? Airstrike, yeah. My main mode that I always go for is the Cowabonga. The Cowabonga's awesome. That's where it's at. I'm always trying to save the cow when it's getting taken away by the UFO. Gotta save the cow. Gotta. Is there a more loaded game, though, in the last, what, GTF's probably within the last five years at this point. Is there a more loaded game than GTF in the last five years? It has everything. I mean, how many magnets? Three magnets. Ramps, physical ball locks. Harry Potter has a ton of shit on it. Yeah, that's a good call. That's a really good call. Harry Potter's also way more expensive. No, no doubt. Well, what was the signature Top Dog model back? Oh, like 15K. 15K. Right, so it was in the same. Yeah, but we'll call your dealer for Primal. Yeah, right. Yeah, so I don't know. That would be just thinking, because But even, like, Kyle, you had the GTF Deluxe, which you get every mech that you got on the highest end won. Yeah, which I took to Ben Brew and did not come home. That's right. It lives in the church now. I don't know what Mike's doing with it. It's probably at his house by this point. Or wasn't it for his son? But no, I think GTF to me is definitely one of the most loaded games of the last five years. Every time I see one, I get on it, I have a good time. It's one of those ones that's starting to come around a little bit. People are playing these newer versions with updated code. He was teasing us with some new code that's supposed to be coming that I haven't seen yet. The music's good in it. The whole package. And I'm playing the tank, too, if you guys don't know. Paint the picture. The tank. Robin was also teasing an upgraded tank mech itself on the game to where it was like an actual mold that comes out instead of a 3D printed robot that comes out of the tank. The whole tank. Yeah. The whole tank is 3D printed and they were updating the whole thing, I believe. Very interested to see all of that. They've been doing something. I'm just glad they've not abandoned it. But, yeah, well, I mean, definitely talk about it a little bit. When we were at TPF, like, they did their whole presentation. They did. And then they revealed to the world that they're doing Circus Vultar remastered American Pinball. That's right. They've only had our game for two years. Two years now, yeah. Not American. It is not at American. As far as I know, it's in St. Louis. But anyway. Maybe. No, I did ask Rob the other day. They talked about it at TPF. They talked about it at Pintastic and then they were just out here this past weekend at Golden State and it's like, okay, a lot of talking going on and some Hot Wheels were made and these Houdinis being made, but like, let's, what's the next thing that's happening? Anybody needs Houdini. Info at MadPinball.com. It's a 100th anniversary, 100th anniversary of his death. So dark. Isn't it? So dark. That's what it is. All right, speaking of anniversaries, you know, America 250 this year. Yes. What about, you know, the spirit of 2026, Dale? Dude, Walker, Texas Ranger Barbecue Challenge. Barbecue Challenge. Dude, that was ahead of Pinbrew, was Walker, Texas Ranger Barbecue Challenge. At one point, I walked by three or four guys playing. I'm like, you guys like that game? They're like, it's fucking hilarious. Three of us are vegans. That's fantastic. Yeah, it was great. So what are you playing, Kylo? I know you've been spending a lot of time here, there, and ever, ever you've been playing anything? I've been reduced to a Daddy Simpsons in the garage. Ooh! I think it's your names back over there. It's every Prenbrew. It's fine. I love you guys. It's no big deal. Daddy Simpsons. Yeah. It's good. Do you have Ben Southworks, though? Yeah. Okay, don't act like you're, like, real fucking... What else you got in the basement, man? Pinball? Yeah, Pinball. Oh, okay. The updated code. This guy. That pinball's a great game. I got nothing, just Daddy Simpson. Oh, it was so long, man. There were like five other games in the basement still. I don't know, I had like nine down there at one point and it was stacked. I got an empty spot myself. Fucker was stacked. Yeah. But also I've been playing Daddy Simpson a lot because it's in the garage. I'm trying to think the last time I played that I think was when you had it out at Green Family Fun Center. That's the one that's at here. Because there's also one out in Louisville with that launchpad. I think that's honestly the last time I played it. Because you had that one and one other pin out there. Yeah, like Getaway or Corvette maybe. I feel like it was Getaway. Could have been. Because it was something. Because they had that little go-kart track. I can't believe how nice it cleaned up or destroyed that cabinet is. I don't think I've ever seen. That thing's rolling downstairs and shit. You can tell. Definitely. I don't know that I've ever seen a nice cabinet on those Simpsons data. Like, I mean, I'm sure that one is probably maybe more bumps and bruises than others. No, I'm just saying in general. I mean, if you want in the cash box, you can just put a pry bar on the side and break the front of it off. It'll be fine. If you want in, you're going to get in. You're going to get in, yeah. All right, so what are you playing, Jeff? So I've been playing a decent amount of location, and on location, I've been going down to Finney's, And I've really fallen deeply in love with Beetlejuice, which is kind of crazy to me because the first couple times that I played it. You didn't really dig it when we were somewhere playing it. I did not dig it at all. I understand kind of the same thing to the Alice in Wonderland, what the game wants, what the game is looking for, the shots you need to hit in order to get it to do this, that, and the other. I didn't understand. I have a very bad habit of whenever I flip my right flipper of leaving, like holding the button in. And you got to let it go quickly or you're not going to get that times two, times three, baby. You're not going to get the times two. You're not going to get the times three. And it wants to feed it into that upper scoop. Whereas if you let go of that flipper button, now you're basically lighting up your lock for the couch. Yeah. And if you're not doing that and you're just leaving that flipper open, like you're missing half of the game. So once I realized what I was doing, I'm like, oh, there's a lot more that I can get going on here. And the modes, the music and call outs, you know, are coming. They announced callouts are on their way. We're not updating it, so don't get excited. Never. You get the original version only. But then at home, and this is going to sound super lame, I've been playing the crap out of Pokemon. There was a nice little... Did you catch them all yet? So there... You got all you can, don't you? It started out with 182... 187. I want to guess you have 157. And then there was a little update recently that added like 10 or 12. I only have like, it's like 40 or 50. Left to find. A lot left to find. But I am enjoying very much of, and Gomez and Jack talked about it at the launch of the game, they wanted to make it to where anyone that got in front of the game could get a multiball pretty easily, or they could catch their first Pokemon pretty easily, and the game does do that. But in a three-ball game, or a ten-ball game, whatever you're playing. No, I'll judge you. Three-ball only. Ten-ball, six degrees. Three count. By the time you get to catching your second Pokemon in your third one, in your fourth one, in your fifth one, what you have to do in order to catch them is more and more complex, hit more shots. Oh, okay. How many of you caught in one game? The most I've caught in one game is five, but here's the thing is they could be the same five that you've already caught before. So they weren't all new necessarily. So they're not all new. But you've got fives. You've got some action. Yeah, and by the fifth one, it's like, okay, first you've got to get it lit to where, you know, you've got to hit the captive ball in order to get your Pokedex open to give you even the opportunity to catch it. And now okay we got to hit some up here in the battlefield now left ramp and now right ramp and now a couple purple shots and now shoot the Pokeball Is that why you called me the other day to see how to turn up the ball save time on a second That what I needed to know I like Kyle how do you get the glass off Just on. Ball save time. Oh, he was helping me fix the pinball the other day. He opens the coin door, oh, I'll pull the glass, reaches it and grabs the lever, pulls the lockdown bar. That's right. He's seen it enough, I'm sure. No doubt about it. So I've been enjoying those. Those are the two, the one at home and then the game on location. But definitely once Winchester House goes out to wherever it may end up, I definitely will be going to wherever that is and putting some time on it. I think Winchester will go to Quarter and I also will go to Finney's. Oh, nice. Well, now I'm going to have to go to both. Send over again. Get some hot dogs. It's interesting to have a quarter of it because we have a Pokemon and a Beetlejuice both up there. We just put the top we're following on. Something else is doing better. Anyway, did we put something else in there? Talk about it. No, Star Wars is... Anyway. We have to take Plunkett this one. Yeah, Beetlejuice is doing better than Pokemon. I have no doubt. Sorry, that was very anticlimactic. I mean, it's not. They're both doing very well. Fathom's doing good. That was the other one I was thinking. Fathom is doing good. From recent swaps, yeah. Willy Wonka is still doing really good. Pulp Fiction. It's Pulp Fiction. What else do we put up in the front row? So Star Wars, Sega. Sega Star Wars. Yeah. That one, but that was broken majority of the week, so it wasn't doing so hot. It's having some technical. We have plugs in it. But I did see that the Electric Playground is going to be shipping the first dual deck topper with the kit for the Sega Star Wars. It shipped. So that's coming soon. That'll be one of one to this point. Yeah. See how that... Maybe it'll come back packaged with their Circus Voltaire. He sent a UPS and it didn't seem like the package was that big, so I hope it's not. I was honestly curious of how Beetlejuice was doing at Quarter Up because when you got your Evil Dead, number 89 last year, it was the first one outside of, like down in Piqua at Crazy Martins, the only one in the area for a very long time. Whereas this time you have your Beetlejuice, yeah, there are some around. There's ours and then there's the Arcade at Sandy Springs. Yeah, and then Finney's. Yeah. There's three. Even just like on Wednesdays, there's people in there playing it that don't even talk to the league people that go into play it. It's getting played. It's a great game. There was a dude holding his baby playing it the other day. Interesting, impressive. He needs like, what's the baby carrier from like Hangover that Alan has? That way you can have like... Yeah, that's what I was thinking, hands free. He's got to be hands free. Is that cheating though during that one mode when you go home? Oh, drop him on. You put the fucking baby on there. If you're holding the baby the rest of the time and in that one instance that helps you, then... I'm down. I endorse it. But speaking of Beetlejuice and the arcade at Sandy Springs, did you see the big glow up that they had down there in Minerva? Oh, the facelifts. Yeah, they did like a major facelift to the front of the brewery and the arcade has its own signage now. So that's pretty epic. I'm pretty excited for... I haven't seen it yet in person, but I saw the pictures on social media. Yeah, I haven't been down in person either, but like that's... So anyone that's not familiar, Instagram or Facebook, Sandy Springs Brewing Company or the Arcade at Sandy Springs Brewing Company, small town, middle rural America, Minerva, Ohio, and it's literally town square sort of situation. So it's like a gas station. I think the brewery side did, yeah. Yeah. But like the main street is like the old stilts like brick, you know. Oh, yeah. You know, you've got the prom dress shop and you've got the little, you know. The village. Yeah. Of Minerva. It's that whole vibe. So for them to have the brewery that has good beer, good food, and then as crazy as Adam and the team over there have done on the arcade is pretty cool. That's why Corbin doesn't have gamers there. I mean, they did the... Good beer, good beer. No, Adam's cool. He's got that pop-a-shot down there. I was actually talking to a guy who bought a pop-a-shot, and he went down to Sandy Springs because he wanted to play in this. He saw some social media posting about Papa Shot National Tournament, and he's like, oh, I can do this. Where's the closest one? He looked it up, saw it with Sandy Springs, and he went down and played it and competed. He was bragging. He said he was doing pretty good. I didn't see any proof, but, you know. It's a cool idea. So then he ended up buying one because he thought it was cool, and he's like, I can just do it at home now. He's like, yeah, all right. Yeah, which is, I mean, it's the same sort of thought as, like, the big buck hunter that you can do with the online or the Golden Sea or the whatever else. I mean, if you're into that, it's... I don't know if it'll work as a house in the national tournament or not. It's a location. It's cool to be able to do the leaderboard and the connectivity sort of stuff. It's the future, as they say. It is, and that seems to be a pretty... The cool back end of that connectivity, too, Alex was showing me for the one at Sandy Springs. He can adjust the volume. He can change the pricing. They can pretty much do the full spectrum of changing anything in that system remotely from the app on his phone. That's nice. Like he was standing out there picking up a game, showing me, pulling it up, like how many times it's been played. Like not just the audits, like the Stern one shows you the audits. Right. And if there's tech alerts. It's got a fucking camera on there if you don't like the guy who just pressed the edge. That's coming, dude. Just power, he just shuts it off. That's coming. Reject. Does it surprise you now after you've seen. It's a Capcom feature. I mean everyone, how integral Insider Connect has been to people who are in the know, people who aren't in the know, But that no other pinball companies have even like really like dipped a toe into the waters of this connectivity. I mean, there's like, isn't there like the rumors of like, uh, there have been rumors. Not rumors, but like what's, uh, like Hexa has their whole thing. Hexa, yeah, Scorbit has their whole, but like no, like Jersey Jack. Oh, dude, um, Pete had that whole Scorbit set up. Oh, okay. So Timber Beast. Yeah, he was going to set it up on Streetsboro. He got the full Scorbit leaderboard setup. So now this works on every game, correct? Every game. He was able to get, you told him which one it was, and it was a certain style one for that game, and then it hooks into the game, and then you got a master one that was mounted behind the TV, and that's what was the brains of it. Interesting. So you could go, I mean, you could put it on old Bally Williams, you could put it on a modern game. They're doing national tournaments as well. Interesting. Like for like leaderboards across the country and then like it's as well registered then as like it shows up like I think he's the only one in Ohio right now who has it at the Streetsboro location. Okay. And I'll be curious. He was showing it to me whenever we took them. I took his Pokemon Premium after Pinball out there. Okay. So this is probably about a month or so ago. So the Timber Beasts in Streetsboro, Barberton and Medina all have Pinball, correct? Yes. Awesome. Yep. I don't know if he has any in the Ashland Mastermind. I know they did for a minute, but I wasn't sure if they still did or not. The Streetsboro one I need to check out. I mean, I know obviously Barberton and Medina are both loaded. Dad and I just went past it the other day. The one in Streetsboro? Yeah. Okay. It seemed like a big kind of dead plaza. Yeah, that's what it looked like. It was like a big bar. There's a bar at one end, but then he's at the other end. A Staples or something in front of it? Yeah. I definitely want to go check it out. School spot. Well, the Scorbit stuff, I'd seen Chris Wamsley, the operator who has Grizzly Bird, George just picked up another brewery out in Columbus, and he was doing the Scorbit stuff at his new location. So I'm interested to see, is that getting reinvigorated, and it's going to be out there more and more and more for people? It sounded like it was a pretty, like the whole investment was not that much. Yeah, I mean, maybe. I think it's $700 or $800 to set it all up. Yeah, $100,000. You know, you've got to have a TV or whatever, but then some games, I guess. That's the expensive part of the setup. That's always the pricey part of the setup are the games themselves. So we talked about some of the games we've been playing, the games we've been enjoying, some of the stuff at locations, coming to locations soon. I know we talked about it on the Season 4 finale, but I wanted to talk about it a little bit more now. Pinbrew Fest. We've had a little bit more time to think about it. The event itself, I think we talked about it enough during the finale, but what I want to talk about now is the exploration of the church itself. Agreed. That was a good time. Now is the time. I have a special dinner to talk about as well. Oh, we absolutely... I have something to add to that. So, if you're not aware, the church arcade in Duquesne, Pennsylvania, west side of Pittsburgh, it's right by Kennywood. Kenny's Wood. Kennywood, let's go Kennywood. If you haven't already given him a follow on social media, the church arcade. I've never gone to Kennywood. You're not missing much. Have you gone there? I've been there. Pittsburgh. You guys go there regularly? But the church arcade, believe it or not, in a church, and what did we build in like 1903 or something crazy like that? Yeah, it was like 18... Oh, we're in the 18s. It was like 1859 was construction started. Are you serious? Yeah. I'm texting Mike. It's like the way, way back. So Corbin and I had been out there towards the very beginning when they were opening and brought three, four, five years, whatever, for their big opening. And I was like, oh, you know, can we go upstairs and check out, like, the balcony or whatever? Like, yeah, go up there, just be careful because, you know, it's kind of... We barely scratched the surface that day. Yeah, and I'm up there and I'm like, oh, Corbin, how cool is this? Look at us. We're up here, like, and we can see everything down below. Like, you can see the organ pipes and the whatever else. Jeff didn't make it past the mess. No. My fear of heights is like... I don't have a... Mine's not great either and I still want one more level than you did. It's not good at all. So I've also painted for my whole life. Second night that we're there? Yeah, I think so. Well, the first night we went up a few floors. Well, okay, so in the few floors we mean in the bell tower. So basically you walk behind the mezzanine. Oh, yeah, we've got to be there. There's a mechanical room. That's as far as Jeff went. Then there's another. It was scary. There's a straight vertical ladder that goes to the next level. Just like a wooden ladder or whatever. Just a wooden ladder. And it's like literally maybe another story. Then there's another wooden ladder that's completely vertical. And that's probably that first one. The second ladder is probably three stories. You are underselling these ladders. They're not vertical wooden fucking ladders. How do I sell it more? Basically, someone in the late 1800s or 1900s cut down a tree. Yes, they're better than any ladders. These aren't like Werner ladders from Lowe's. No. These are like, someone built these at one point in time, a long time ago. They had a fucking woodchuck on site, just gnawing on them. So at 2 a.m., after a certain number of adult beverages, these gentlemen are like, hey, we're going up into the bell tower. So the second night then. We made it up so high, and then there was no more ladders. There was no more ladders. And so then we came back down, and the next night, after the tournament, and everyone else cleared out, like, oh, the one of the mics was like, yeah, I'll go up with you. We got a ladder, and Corbin and I and one of the mics went all the way to the top. We got on the roof. Like, to the top, top. Yeah, it was the tip of the top. You guys threw a beer can down. Honestly, the amount. It took like 15 seconds to hit the car. It was a little longer than I thought it was going to be. It was absurdly long. I was kind of like, oh. Did that hit? Okay. It was pretty cool, though. It was cool. It was definitely cool. And that's why you've got to have the rechargeable pen light on your keys. Yeah. We found a shock light too. Shock wire. Extension cord laying in a puddle of water. All stripped out. That's why we kept blowing that breaker. Somebody handed me some extension cord that looked like it was from like 1920 and I'm like, oh, plug this in. You're an antiques expert these days. I really am. I plug it in and literally sparks shoot out from the outlet and I'm like, hmm. I don't even watch a lot of antiques. This doesn't seem like a great idea at all. So you guys got the full exploring the church experience. Here's also some other interesting things. The wine, the what was it? The Jesus drain or whatever. The Jesus drain. Yeah. Talk about that a little bit. The Airbnb next door was interesting. Basically, the whole Jesus drain was they said whenever they, so when they were working in the church, they were like, why is the sink doesn't, you know, why isn't the sink working? Oh, it's clogged. We'll run a sink. Oh, there's like cement in the drain. Foam. Literally like spray foam. Spray foam, yeah. I thought it was cement. I saw. Spray foam. Either way. And then they're like, so they start asking about it. And apparently this used to be where they would dump out the excess wine from the communion. And it was a very religious, you know, it's going out, going back into the earth. Because it's the body of Christ. You can't just pour the body of Christ like into the sewage, man. Well, I mean, it does kind of just dump out in the alley or whatever. No, it dumps into like a cavern, they said. It did. There's like actually like a... Back into the ground. Yeah, back into the ground where it's like filtered through like limestone and shit. So the body of Christ went back to the earth. So when they decommissioned the church, they fell asleep. And then after that, raccoons drank that shit and got fucked up. Yeah. And that one raccoon was huge, asshole. Dude, they were just mad that they closed that bar down. That was the spot. That was a crazy story for sure. I thought that was just, and just an interesting tidbit, like things you don't think, like they also removed all of the religious, any insignia or any religious symbols that were in the stained glass or any. And not nicely. No. No, no, no. Well, Eric is making a, he's replacing it all with like arcade art and different things like that. Which will be cool when it's all done. Yeah, it'll be very cool. So then on one side of the church, there's, they turned one of the buildings into a daycare. We didn't have access to that. Young children, I don't know. Apparently I'm not allowed within like 50 feet of children. I don't know. But then on the other side, it wasn't turned into an Airbnb. And I don't know how many bedrooms that thing was. I think they said 12 or 14. Yeah. It was big. And most of the bedrooms had multiple beds. Like, that building and that house by itself was crazy with, like, the high ceilings and all the woodwork and all the everything else. Like, it was very intricate. A lot of weird alarms and stuff. They were very adamant that we used them. And we're like, dude, we're not sleeping in there. And then Jeff gets locked out. Yeah, actually, he's like, fine, I'll take you up on that offer. And then they were like, no. No. That sucks his name. Friggin' Jason. Jason! That's who we're calling out about this situation. So apparently he had not locked doors before and had gotten into trouble at the arcade, so he's very good at locking doors. He's like triple checking that he locked everything. Yeah, we just slept on the bus. Which, I mean, it was like perfect bus. Primo bus. Oh, it was perfect. Perfect, yeah. The good stuff. But yeah, Pinbrew 2026 was... I thought overall it was, you know, that was a very cool exploration time. The After Hours Tournament was a good time. Yes, Zach won the After Hours tournament. I did. We did have the After Hours champion in our midst. He ran the table. He took down the main Pittsburgh mic. He took down the weatherman. I mean, he took down... Jeff, you're the one who beat me all night. Jeff and I had like three games in a row. Oh, man. That was a good time. I only won one game. I don't think any of us wanted to be in the tournament and then they just put us in the tournament and then Zach ran it. It was fine. Which I loved. I was fine with it once they got us started with it. Right. But I think this segues us nicely into a little trailer talk with Corbin. Oh, God. Where do we even begin? So Corbin made many trips out to Pittsburgh because you took at least 50 games, if not more. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, it was a substantial number of games, so it took several trips to get them out there. So it was a lot of black truck with the big trailer. And then on the day of it opening, I rode out with you. Am I remembering this correctly? Yeah, we rode out together because we stopped at the FedEx and grabbed Winchester House. That's right. And a Kong Pro or a couple other games that had to go over with us. So I hop in the truck with Corbin and he's like, the trailer's making like this little bit of a weird sound. This is the 30-footer. Just started making this. Right. 3,500 truck. Mind you, the one we just took to Florida in February. Yeah, same trailer. It wasn't making that noise then. He's like, it's making a little bit of a noise. So we're pulling out of Lake Heights and I have the window down and I can kind of hear a little something, but, you know, whatever. We drive to Pittsburgh. Yeah, I mean, we're going to Pittsburgh, so put the windows back up, turn the radio on, and it was fixed. You know, everything was fine. They don't go down the turnpike. They go to West Virginia. Of course. Over the Ohio River. I don remember Yeah I went over two times So we get into Pittsburgh or the Duquesne area and I like all right let put the windows down Like we really going to figure out what this is And clinky clanky clinky clanky And I'm like, man, Corbin, I think it sounds like a leaf spring. Yeah, you called it. He's like, yeah, maybe. I don't know. He's from Carrollton. He does have experience with a broken leaf spring. So this is what, a three leaf spring situation here? Yeah, and the axle broke. Like, where are the axles? Well, you say it. I'm not. I don't know about this. Yes, there's three leaf springs, but the main one that bolted to the frame is snapped, so there was no leaf spring. The front tire, everything in line, so the axle was probably going all over the place. But we ratchet strapped it forward into place and hauled it back empty. We tried to fuck it. Yeah. So the part that Zach missed on all of that is after he ratchet-strapped it back into place and told Corbin and I to be very careful taking it back into town, we went into the tightest gas station. So we left with it empty, too, because we're like, we're just going to run it back Saturday, limp it back empty, get the other trailer, and come back with that. But being the responsible adults that we were, we said before we get out of town, we want to fuel up. I was under a quarter of a tank, and I'm like, I'm not trying to get stuck in pits. You guys know driving in. If there's one thing that I learned and relearned or confirmed with driving in and out of Schittsburg, any time of the day or night, there's traffic. No doubt. So you've got to be prepared for that. So I was like, well, I'm going to get gas. I think this is the last gas station. We both thought. And so we try to go into it. And I get in for the most part or whatever. And then, I don't know, it was tight. And I ended up going off a curb. There was a pretty substantial. And there was no way to avoid it. This wasn't like a, oh, Corbin messed up sort of situation. It was literally like in order to get this huge truck in this trailer. Out of traffic into the gas station. Sort of situation. It was the only way to do it. So it was like, okay. And then remember we get it started too. Once we get it parked and we're like, whatever, we're parked, we're out of traffic, we're taking up most of the parking lot, but we can get gas. The entire gas station. And we're trying to, the reader is just giving us all kinds of nonsense. Always. And I'm like, dude, I've got to get gas here. This is, like, I'm going to be broke down here probably. So, like, I should fill up the tank at least. So I just ended up using cash because it was like, we've got to get out of here. Get this baby filled up and he's like, all right, well, I'm just going to pull out straight. Like, that's probably going to be the easiest way. So in order to do that, the axle that has, that is ratchet strapped on. This is literally the point of contact with the curb right now. And Corbin starts to go forward and like I can see the entire axle like dislodging itself from the trailer. I'm like, all right, let's slow down here. And you can feel it was dug in. Okay. Like you could tell. So now the only way, no, goosing it would have like ripped this thing off. I'm like, let's just back out into the street. And Corbin's looking at me like there's traffic coming from four different directions. You stop it, dude. I'll do it. I'm supposed to back out this 30-foot trailer with this full-on truck. What is this tall bearded lady trying to do right now? So I'm literally this tall gangly bald chick is just out in the middle of stopping traffic from every direction. And Corbin, to his credit, one shot backed her right out into the street and away we went. And some people were giving the thumbs up and other people were giving us the Pennsylvania salute. I feel like a lot of people enjoyed it. I mean, we did it pretty soon. I feel like he learned that one day when he had to stay home sick. Like, you've got to learn how to back up this trailer real good. I don't know. I've seen other people in the Angelique family backing up trailers, and I think Corbin might be the anomaly. The first time I was, we ran into one of your vehicles back, and we ran into a U-Haul, and I went to this parking lot and just backed around for a minute and was like, well, let's do it. So it was quite the adventure. Yeah. So then to pick up the games, you and Zach went back out with a box truck, right? Yeah, but we also had to do a delivery. Oof. How was the box truck adventure? I know you said it didn't work out as well as maybe you would envision. It was fine, but we pretty much couldn't get more than we could. It fit about the same as the trailer. Mostly less, I think. Than the 30-footer? Yeah. And we had to have the truck running for the lift to get to work at first. Which was annoying. Oh, whatever, you know. But we started running without the truck running. Like, oh, no, this is going to kill this battery. Yeah, no, we better go start this. So we'd bring like six down, start it, load six, shut it back off, do it all over again. They just threw the size of it and everything. It just didn't, the trailer we could get more into, I felt like. And it was, the trailer being lower to the ground, honestly, it was easier than getting them. I mean, it was fine using it, but I just don't think for, and it was like under 300 bucks, I think, to rent it for the day to go there and back. I think it's a good option to keep. It's a good option, and then also, like, now you know what to expect with something like that. And it's like, if you do have access to that trailer, it's like, alright, well then. Yeah, that's the better solution. It's called Fix the Leaf. I was actually looking. I think we can fit it in the garage out there. Cool. We'll get torn apart then. Should we speak briefly about TPF Adventures? Sure. Do we want to hit on that a little bit? Yeah. I have to back this story. Yeah, let's go. Back it up. Because we completely skipped the Adam Smasher. Oh, my God. No, please. Yes. Jesus. The Adam Smasher and the whole damn. Tugboats, dude. Tugboats. Yeah, tugboats. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I drove the van out Friday morning. I even thought about it when we first started talking. We got roof talk and I just got it. So if this is your first time listening, Kyle has a 1991 Vanagon. Full swing of Vanagon, yes. And he drove it out. VR6 swapped. VR6 swapped, yes. Yeah, let's save the details. All the details, out to Pinbrew. It's not a Westphalia pop top. It's just a regular old camper. I won't tell the story about why you wish that the top was a pop-top. Anyway, and was it the first night? We're like, hey, let's have family dinner. Yeah, it was Friday night because Zach didn't come down until Saturday, right? Oh, it was not Friday, not until late, though. That's right. I had to work. You and Keith showed up like late, like 9, 11. Keith had the wrong place at first. We were like two hours out, so I'm like, what the hell? They rode Pittsburgh. And they were like half an hour. He shared the location with Corbin or something. I was like, no, dude, go to here. And he's like, oh, we're like 23 minutes out. Yeah. So me, Corbin, Kyle, and Amy. Yeah. And we're like, hey. Let's go get some dinner because it's whatever, 7 o'clock. It's going to be a couple hours until they come or whatever. So I'm big TripAdvisor guy and I immediately pull up TripAdvisor and I was like, hey, the top rated place closest to you is? Tugboats. That was the top rated place? Close to us. Okay, okay. Five miles. Okay, that tracks. That tracks. Okay, go on. So we load up in the van. He was good. I got to drive the van. Yeah, I was like, Jeff, you can drive the van. I'm like, Jeff, you have to go above 30 miles an hour or it's never going to shift and you're going to burn the transmission up. So we're just going through Pittsburgh. I'm like, just punch it. And then it's like, okay, now we're doing 50 everywhere instead of 20. Hey, man, there's a lot of hills. What do you want? Too fast, too slow. So if you're not familiar with the geography of Pittsburgh, it's very hilly and curvy. And especially in the area that we were in is an older area. It's all older. Depressed, if you will. It's all shitty is what it is. So we go up some hills, down some hills, and we find tugboats. And we come up the hill. I remember we come up the hill. And I'm like, there's tugboats. And you're like, I'm backing in right there. And we look across the street. And what is sitting there? So there's this big open parking lot. And there's what looks like a water tower. Just laying on its side. And we're all like... But not a water tub. We're all like, this is weird. Like a cement mixer thing, but like jumbo size. Yes, very bizarre. Yes. So one of the bartenders or waitresses or someone who works at tugboats but was off shift was outside enjoying a... Hanging out. Yeah, hanging out. And was like, hey, you know, oh, nice van, talking about the van. And we're like, well, what... Either we asked what was across the street or she just offered up. She's like, well, that's the Atom Smasher. And we're like, what the fuck's that? What's the Atom Smasher? So immediately, like, within a .3 second Google search, it's like, oh, this is the General Electric or Westinghouse. How dare you. Sorry, my bad. Atom Smasher, and it's this turn of the, you know, turn of the century, world's first commercial Atom Smasher. Like, this is like prior to the Haldron Collider and all this other stuff. Like, this is like way, way back stuff. Mad history, mad history. So we're like, well, we've got to walk over and check this out. It was just kind of in this broken down fence. Literally. Do not walk over there. It's illegal. No trespassing. We didn't do any of this. This is all factitional. Yes. So, statutes of limitations. We walk over there. We're checking it out. The clouds, you know, starting to rain a little bit. And I'm like, eh, you know, I'm sugar and spice and everything nice. So I might, you know, start to melt if we're out here in this rain too long. And Corbin's like, well, you know, let's check it out a little bit more. And the next thing you know, Corbin's inside the Atom Smasher and checking out this, that, and the other. I've been glowing ever since. He comes out, he's glowing in the dark. So now it's tugboat time. Oh my god. Yeah, man, we go into this place and it's a place. They got food. Yes, yes, yes. And beer. No, no, it was a cool spot. It was a cool spot. It's literally one of these local... It's just a neighborhood bar. Neighborhood bar. Very nice. Small menu. Yeah, great people, friendly people. We order a little bit of this, a little bit of that. I gotta order the fucking pizza bombs because of the Adam Smasher. Sorry, I did have one of those later on. They were pretty good. Yeah, that's the last... And you ate one of those? That's when it cooled down was 17 hours later when Zach finally weighed up. Yeah, they came out and these... So they were all pizza bombs. They were basically like they put pizza dough and all the toppings and everything in a muffin tin or something. And baked them. And then they put them in a 17 million degree centigrade. In the Adam Smasher. In the Adam Smasher, yeah. And so, it comes out and Kyle, like, he immediately takes a bite and everyone's like, is he gonna? And like, spits it out because it's like melting his face off. I was so fucking hungry. But cheese and sauce and everything's like coming out of his mouth at 1700 degrees. And then Corbin came out hotter than it was. Not even like a second. Seven seconds maximum later, he's taking another bite. A bigger bite. I was hungry, man. He just couldn't stop. He couldn't stop. And that one was also hot. Spoiler. So, yeah. We made friends with one of the locals. He came by and chatted with us a little bit. He dined on some of our... He was helping himself to food. Partook in some of the foods that we had. Yeah, so we got those. What else? Somebody got pasta. I got the pasta and the shrimp. Kyle got the pizza bombs. There was a sandwich I ate later on. I had all... I perused it like an Italian sandwich. Yeah. It was big. It was a good size. It was quite the first. Six pounds of fries. The fries? Yeah. That's right. So if you go to the church arcade, our highest recommendation is tugboats and you can look at the Atom Smasher, but if you go in the parking lot, it's all on you. You got that fish from somewhere too. So we're coming back. That was almost as mentionable as Kennywood. Hey man, sometimes, these roadside places though, it's like you never know, it's like you can either get like the best of the best. A little glass room, yeah. Like a counter in there. Was not the best fish that I ever had in my life. Shout out to whatever those food trucks were. The food trucks all weekend were on. And the one was like, they said that's like, they live in that neighborhood one. We saw them parked on the hill. The purple one, yeah. That was real good. Yeah, because I got the chicken on a stick or whatever. That was good. Yeah, it was. The jerk chicken was good. So the purple one was local. One was one that was from the old like Saceritos. Yeah. And then the barbecue guy was local. Yeah. Barbecue, pizza. So if you're not on the social medias, churcharcade.com. Moral of the story is if you go and check out the Adam Smasher, you're going to burn your face on the pizza bombs. And then when you're at the food truck, marinara sauce because it was literally the hottest marinara sauce I've ever had in my entire life. So then you go into the church arcade and you have some Y beer and away you go. Yeah. All the good things. It was a great time. It was a good time. Good times, great people. It was cool just in the balcony area to look over and then when everybody was gone, the only game was on was Winchester House. It's a complete vibe. It's a cool fucking game. I have such a challenge. The thing I can never figure out with those with Barrels of Fun is getting it to update. I can get it connected to the internet. I can get it to do all that stuff, but it never wants to just update. It's just checking, and then it just freaks out on me. It does it with me. Call Butch. He's our best friend. I'm just going to run a Cat5 cable into it. I was very impressed with Butch. He was just going around fixing games. No one was asking him. He was just like, I'm going to fix some stuff. I think he likes to fix stuff. He did like to fix some stuff. So previous to Pinbrew, Corbin and I were like, hey, we're going to hit TPF. We're going to do it. And then I don't know if I had mentioned first or you had mentioned first. Like, let's drive down. Unlike last year when we're like, hey, Jeff, do you want to go to TPF? You're like, no, I don't think so. And then two days later, you're like, oh, I'm flying to TPF. Like, all right, thanks, buddy. Right. Fucker. Man, you guys, this is a tough crowd. No, I thought we like looked at flights or something and TSA was being a little crazy. They were crazy. And I think that was when they were on strike. Yep. And I think we, for some reason, decided. Just got a pre-check, so. Not all of us do. I'm in here with the peasants. He's been pre-checked. Regularly. On a daily basis. We're like, hey, let's drive down. It's only like an 18-hour drive. No big deal. Nobody was surprised, honestly, I don't think. What should they be? But we stopped in Memphis. We did? Yeah. Where'd I take you? I don't even know. He took me somewhere nice. Was it a wall? No, dude, that's easy. Did I take you to the glass pyramid? Oh yeah, he did. He took, all right, that was pretty cool. He took me to not just the glass, it's the Big Bass Pro Shop glass pyramid in Memphis because, duh, everybody knows if Memphis is known for pyramids, a Big Bass Pro Shop. So if you're not familiar, it's an enormous glass pyramid that is a Bass Pro Shop that has a Bass Pro Shop, restaurants, and a hotel. So I looked ahead of time and I'm like, well, we're staying the night in Memphis anyway. How amazing would it be if we stayed with him? So did you stay in the Bass Pro Hotel? It was like $3.50 a night, so I'm like, he had to sleep in and kind of hide around amongst the tents and things. But in my mind's eye, I could imagine him at 1 o'clock in the morning slipping on some waders and getting in with the fish. He's out there just hanging out with them. So we checked that out. That was pretty cool. We went to a couple different places. We went to Beale Street where the cops had AK-47, so that was something. This really set a vibe. It did set a certain vibe. There really wasn't a lot of other people walking around. It didn't feel like. No. It was also like Thursday night. Thursday is a new Friday. Yeah. We had some pinball places, a couple breweries. Yeah, a couple breweries. Some guys had some really nice, like, 80s. Dolly Parton. What was the other? There was another one. There was something that there were like three of them. Two, like Black Pyramid or something. That's right. No, it was Black Pyramid. Good call. Black Pyramid. So we played some cool games. I mean, went to some interesting places. They were doing trivia at that one place. Yep. What was one of the games like $1.25 or $1.50 or something weird? Like a Foo Fighters. It was like a Foo Fighters or an Iron Maiden or something. It was $1.25. I'm like, this is weird. That's random. So then to cap the night, we ended up at some rando hotel across from a casino. You got barbecue, too. You did get barbecue while we were in town. I mean, you're in Memphis. You've got to. So we go into the lobby of this hotel and the person in front of me has their dog on a leash, whatever, pet-friendly hotel, like not that odd, not that whatever. We check in and there's a pool table and I look at Corbett and I'm like, hey man, you want to shoot a quick game of pool before we go out? Yeah, we've gotten some beer to go from one of the breweries. It was not a good beer, but we've gotten it to go. So he's like, yeah, man, let's shoot it. You got it to go. I did. Let's shoot a quick game here. Avoid another stop. So we go over there. Whatever. Rack up the balls you know Got this pineapple IPA It delicious We find one kind of serviceable pull cue that the two of us can share and away we go Next thing I know, there's like a 55-year-old man walking in with a cat on his arm. Dude, and he doesn't have, like, he should have had, like, a... No cat carrier. He needs, like, one of those, like, attack dog training arms on because this cat was pissed. And he just had a naked arm. There was nothing. He's latched on. So he walks by, and then another person walks in with a cat. Pet-friendly hotel, whatever, but put your cat in a cat carrier. That cat did not want to be on the move. His arm was like, it had been pretty well attached for a minute. No. We were dying, so I said something to the reception. I'm like, you see that? She's like, I don't think that cat wants to be here. I was like, I don't think so either. So that was quite the sight that I did not anticipate. The one place was kind of cool, random, that we went to that had all the TVs above a lot of the games. Yeah. What was that one? That was the first place that we went. I'd have to look up what it was called. But, yeah, it had all the TVs above the games. It had some retro arcade games. What district? I don't know what it was. Yeah, I'll look it up. It was a random. It was, and they had one big row of Sterns, but then they also had, like. It's very interesting stuff. They had some. Remember we went out on the patio and they had the ice version of the Flintstones pinball machine in pieces? It was kind of a bit of a junkyard kind of a stash spot for some bonus pieces for some different games out there. Two of a good smoke spot. Yeah, we hung out out there for a minute. It was a nice enough night or whatever. Oh, yeah. That was a random, yeah. So our little Memphis stop. We were trying to pick up the Three Musketeers, which was unsuccessful. Oh my gosh. That's accessible. Yeah. I feel like that's a podcast episode all in itself. That was on the finale, I thought. The life and times of the three musketeers. So we get down to TPF. We check in with everybody. We see the things. We shake the hands. We kiss the babies. And now it's like, okay, we're at a pinball show. What could we possibly do while we're in town? And we're at a pinball show that has hundreds of pinball machines. Go play golf. Let's go. Well, we could also mention, too, we did play Yukon Yeti, Which was... And? That was pretty cool. I liked it. I really thought it was really cool. I'm very excited. I mean, we got to play a handful of games on it, so I feel like it just left me, though, wanting some time on it. I can't wait for ours to come in. Was Nordman down there? The Nordman was there. Chris Turner was there. The whole team from Turner Pinball was there. I mean, the game hit every expectation for me. Like, after having the time on the Resto Mod Whitewater that we brought in a while ago, the original's the top five game for me, so I had high, high expectations for this one, and it really, it satisfied every want that I could. I mean, the only thing that I heard from people, you know, mech-wise on the game was the Yeti itself on the game doesn't act as a diverter like it does on the original game. Which, that's cool when you want to copy it. Like, is that what we're trying to do? It's number two. It's got to be different. Right. It has some elements of it. We don't want to do it. But I love the waterfall ramps. I love the avalanche max. Bomb. Shot. Clean. I think he had said that the cost that they have on this game is maxed as much as they can pretty much spend on it. And that's why they can't do a lower version because it's like, what are we going to take off of this? You can't take off the avalanche max because it's the main showstopper of the game. It's a cool game. It would be fun. Yeah. I'll buy just a Whitewood game for five grand. What was it, around Allentown time they made the announcement that they were bringing in new people to do call-outs and sound and music and all of that? So one of the post-TPF, the big things that was all over the place was people, one of the criticisms was the call-out package, the sound package. And Chris had said, you know, our goal for TPF is they wanted it flipping and playing, but like in their mind the sounds were just... We're just placeholders now for whatever, but since then they have put in... It was somebody that was supposed to be... The two people that they had are like... Notable. Yeah, very notable. Yeah, so it definitely seemed like that's... It seems to be getting some traction. We do have some spots where anybody needs one, so... Yeah, info at madpinball.com, or if you don't like talking to people, you can go to madpinball.com, and it's right on the homepage. Actually, it is, yeah. But that game was epic. Obviously, Spooky's booth was insane. Oh, yeah. All the Beetlejuice's, Don's Beetle tent. They had the TPF exclusive magnets for Beetlejuice, which I have yours in my car. But I better get a set of those from Don, too, the other ones. Yeah. The Don ones. The Midnight Madness ones. With Don's face. One's Don's face and the other side's Chipotle. I love it. I've not seen those. We'll definitely need to get some of those. Yeah, that one was cool. They had the Transformers home pin. That was a random one. What was the one out in the hallway that we played? Remember that real random? Oh, they had several that were like imports. That was just like, what in the heck that we played that were kind of cool? They did. That Alice in Wonderland homebrew had some beautiful art on it and everything. With the door knocker, doorknob situation. Yeah. The homebrew area was very, very strong at TPS. Every show we go to, it's... Monsters, Inc., that Top Gun game I thought was fantastic. Oh, that was super cool. Dude, that's awesome. Don's face. You see these, Corbin? The magnets. The one magnet's Don's face. So I ended up connecting with the guy who did the homebrew of that Top Gun afterwards on social media. Dude, that's hilarious. And I ended up talking to him quite a bit about the game and the data and the levels that he was able to pull after the show to see. Oh, that's the April too. It's pretty impressive. Oh, just, yeah, okay, right there. He said he had been working on that for a good, it was been a number of years, it really seemed like he was in deep on that project. It was. And it showed, because it did some very cool things. It's not just the translate on V-Line. That's just. I know that is. No, that's true glass. Yeah, yeah, it's glass. But that wouldn't be that hard to put in a piece of glass than that and stuff. No, but I think the ones that came on Don's that he sold at that show were printed back glasses with his thing on it. Okay, interesting. Like the 20 or whatever that were sold that night. That he got sold, yeah. Interesting. Yeah, the homebrew section was cool. I'm trying to think, there was some other... Barrels of Fun had a good showing. Sorry, being exact and good to go. We were talking about other shit. Kind of being a hometown show for P3. They had a big showing there. American Pinball had a big booth with the Houdini 100 and the Hot Wheels and a lot of their... Those classic titles. I don't think they had a tank. So anyway, like you were saying, where else did we go? We left. We went off campus. So we're like, hey, we need to go off campus, and I've been hearing from a lot of our local customers, push, start, play was the place to go. So that was the first place we went, and it was... That was the risk... That was no cover charge, and then tokens after that? Okay, or a card. I think it was a card. Maybe it was a card. And it was all LEs, all CEs, insane collection of arcade games. They had Predator. They had like you name it. They had everything and they had the top end of everything. I mean I don't know how many. We went there first and then the second place was the kind of a little bit of a different vibe. That place was very extensive the first place we went. Room after room after room. And like you said, there's arcade games you were pointing out to me that you said were very limited. They did, you know, very whatever. Same with the Pinballs. They have a moonwalker. They did. They fucking did. They did. At this point I was going to build one. So, push start play, highly recommend. I think the pricing on it, I don't, it didn't seem like, all the replays are really low. Maybe, I think push start play was entry, you paid like $10 at the door and that got you most of the games and then pinball maybe was an extra charge that you had, like they gave you some money on a card. Yeah, you might be right. It was something like that. It was. But all the pinballs cost something. Yeah. We spent some serious time there. Yeah. 31 credits. And I don't think I spent, like, I didn't feel like I spent a whole lot of money in the time we were there. I think the replays were low, and you could find games on stuff pretty, like, just saying. People walking away from replays and everything else. So then either the same night or the next night we went to another spot, and it was a pay at the door, and then everything's on free play. And they had Dune, and they had all the Barrels of Fun stuff. Dude, that place was, the roughest part of that place was everybody walking away from, well, yeah. But everyone walking away from games. Like, it was like such a, we were trying to play a game, and honestly, I just kept having to end other people's games. I just couldn't stand there and watch it. It was driving me so nuts, dude. But, like, four player, you know, ball one, player two of a four player game. Are you serious? I was like, I'll play that. I'm resetting that. But it was a good 50-50 split of like they had some crazy import arcade games too like Rhythm 1s and they had this like full simulator. You were flying that plane. I was flying a mother... I was in a mech suit. It was some crazy stuff. Were there snakes there? I had these motherfucking snakes. But yeah, the Dallas-Fort Worth area arcade scene. Pretty solid. Yeah, we went to those. We didn't even go to any of the free plays. We didn't go to any of the cider caves. I feel like there's a third place. I thought one night we went one and then we went two and another night. Yeah. We got around and saw some things. Yeah. So then Corbin went from TPF to Colorado. I did. I flew up into Colorado to Durango to see Nate Mikey. Did a little snowboarding? Yeah, we snowboarded for a couple days. I mean, it was kind of slushboarding at this point, but it was a good time. It was good to see them hang out out there a little bit in the Durango other and Pagosa Springs. Thanks. So that was cool. Then I flew back for just in time to start setting up for Pinball. And I did the reverse drive back to Ohio. So there were two basic routes, the one that went through Memphis. And then on the way back, I did the other one that went through St. Louis. And I kept hearing from everyone in the St. Louis area. Like, obviously, Atomic is like the number one place to go, but they weren't open when I was going to be in town. So the number two place that I kept hearing from people was the Silver Ballroom. It's supposed to be this awesome spot. I thought you were going to say that one at the strip mall that we went to. No, I'll never go back there. Fuck those people. I think I've been to the Silver Ballroom with Rob. Great lineup. Like, I'm looking at the lineup, and it's, you know, it's not an immense number of games. It's like 15 or so, but it's like all cool titles like NBA Fastbreak and Elvira and like a Spooky, And they had a P3 and they had a Funhouse 2.0 and whatever else. So this would have been maybe Sunday, I think, that I'm coming through. And I don't know if it was like the operator had just been there like the previous Sunday. And this was like at the time when they hadn't been back around for a while. But everything was pretty rough. Not much was really flipping in the way that you would want them to be flipping and everything else. But talked to a few people that were from the area and they said that wasn't the norm for that spot. Right, yeah, Robin always preaches about that place. Yeah, Nick and Allison were saying the same thing. They're like, no, that's usually the spot to go. So if you get a chance, definitely check it out. Eclectic lineup, definitely awesome sort of pinball vibe and all of that. But I don't think I told you guys this sidebar. So Corbin had his first Buc-ee's experience. I did. And on the way back, apparently there's a knockoff of Bucky's called Wally's and it's a moose instead of a beaver. I'm intrigued. And I'm driving back and I'm driving, I'm driving, I'm driving and I look to my left and there's Wally's. I'm like, oh man, I don't know. Why didn't you just fly back at that point? I don't know if I want to stop. You rented something. Yeah, we rented a car. We got a free TV from the French. We did. So we got to drive back. But long story long, I did end up stopping at Wally's, but I did look it up afterwards, and now I wish I would have stopped because it looked amazing. Is it like a solo place, or is there a chain? I think there are like three of them. Oh, it should have gotten early on, man. Worry those moose shirts. See, if you had a Bucky sticker, because I know you got that on the car, and then if you had the Wally. Is that like a Vacation America reference? That's how it felt very much like the Wally World moose, for sure. Park's closed. Oh, John Candy. But yeah, TPF, Pinbrew, all of that fun stuff, new games in the group, things that everyone's been playing. Anything that you guys want to talk about before we hit some final thoughts? Wrap up this season premiere? Let's start with Kyle. Final thoughts, Mr. Kyle? I wish Beetlejuice wasn't so popular so I could have mine soon. Reasonable. It's definitely the hot game right now. Everyone's talking about it. Every time we're at Pinney, it's just like, fuck, quit playing it. Quit playing it. Yeah, it is. It's definitely a fun game. Final thoughts, Zach? No, you know, just get out there and play some pinball. Definitely. Nothing too crazy. Hang out with your pinball pals. Hang out with your pinball pals, for sure. Is Phil's pool opening soon? It is open. I think he tells us. It's like Memorial Day, isn't it? That's what you tell us. I think so. Like, taking out that chat. No, I'm ready. Might be going and go right now, actually. I've been getting some base layers of sunscreen on, so that way I'll be ready for... I've had sunscreen on since November. That's right. When did you stop? I didn't. I just keep adding. Oh, yeah, okay. That's what I was going to say. It doesn't shower either. It's my natural musk now. It's just sunscreen. Mmm, Jeff smells like the beach. Why does it smell like coconuts in here again? Corbin, final thoughts? No. No, just Crab Leg plays dumpster. Same thing. Get out and play some pinball. Jeff? Lots of fun pinball out there and lots of stuff happening. Definitely, as I've said before and I'll say again, these are insanely exciting times for pinball. I know we don't read the news necessarily on here, but anyone that's listening to this podcast is probably pretty in tune with everything that's going on. Exciting new game coming from Jersey Jack. New game announcement coming up here for Transformers from Stern. Big Daddy Stern. I mean, we're going to have a couple of the Merlin's edition of the Medieval Madness is available from Chicago Gaming. They're going to be being built in the next, you know, six to eight years. Six to eight years. Four to 48 weeks. Like the cable company. How big on inconvenience? Those are coming. They're going to have something else coming. It's still coming. I mean, there's a lot of good stuff. Circus Voltaire coming. Yeah, yep, yep, yep. You never heard back from that Sean about Tales of Arabian Nights. That guy. I have opinions, but... I know, I'm just thinking. You don't have to share. I have strong, strong, strong opinions. It's fine. I think you shared that on the season finale. I may have mentioned it on the season finale. We don't need to get him fired up again. All right. I was pretty heated that time. Yeah, there's no reason. But yeah, make sure that you have your pet spayed or neutered. Please be kind and rewind. I don't know, right? Hug those you love. Hug a tree. That's all I've got. Smokey the Bear says only you can prevent forest fires. Smacky the Frog. It's the name from Carol Cagney. Bye, everybody. Clippers, scurvy, now I'm sad. Stay pinball, stay pinball. Play pinball with my dad. Need a pen called Mad Pinball, Toppers Pods ain't got a phone, 800 Mad Pinball, 8-4-Words to rhyme with all, Need a pen called Mad Pinball. Pinball, Pinball, Pinball.
