All right. Today on the channel, the latest cool toy that we're going to be taking a look at is the board. This is a gaming device. Basically, a gaming console that doesn't utilize controls. And you're asking yourself, how do you play it? Well, this is basically a digital board game that uses tactile pieces for a truly unique experience. So, let's uh let's play some games, unpack this bad boy, and find out if it's something that you're going to enjoy or something that you'll get bored with. So, out of the box, you get your game board accessories, your pieces for the individual games, and the board itself. 24-inch high definition display, all one piece. It is hefty. Got some anti-slip grips here on the sides. There we have our inputs there for power, USB-C, as well as a micro SD card slot. Uh, nice little cable management system there, so you can plug it in. Have a magnetic bezel that goes on and off so you can, you know, wipe it off, clean it. So, if you got kids, you're worried about crumbs, grubby fingers, things like that. Easy to clean. Like I said, magnetic. So, it just kind of pops right back on there. Besides the device itself, you get lots of individual baggies of game board pieces. That's right. Cuz this is not just a glorified tablet in which you play with your fingers. No, you actually have tactile pieces. All the pieces are unique. Come in these nice little resealable bags. They have the label of, you know, what kind of game it's for. Some of these games will reuse some of the pieces, but a lot of them are, you know, very unique and uh specific to the game you're playing. As far as the included games, you get 12 included games with the board. Uh internal storage on this device was 64 gigabytes after I installed all 12 included games. I had 14 gigabytes of usable space. So there's still plenty of space for future releases. Uh and they will have future releases throughout the year that you can download on there. It's very simple. Just download it to your account. Piece of cake. And speaking of future games, you want to check those out, click this coming soon tab. Brings this up. Says what's coming on board. Got a little brief description of future games in the pipeline. Board sports. Looks like we can play golf, pool, bowling, uh, Heist, an in addition to the Blues game, which so far has been one of the standouts on here of the included games, Magic Shop, Thrasos. So, I mean, some really cool stuff in the pipeline, but let's not talk about the future. Let's talk about the present. I'm anxious to check out some of these games, some of the arcade stylings for sure. So, easy to navigate. Like I said, we're just going to scroll through, pick which ones we want. Um, let's go to Space Rocks. I was a big fan of this one. Very asteroids like. So, you just simply hit play game. Tells you what pieces you'll need out of your little baggies. All right. So, I'll get my little spaceship here. Hit continue. Brief little loading screen. And you'll again want to make sure you have that end down onto the game board itself. So, we got different ways to play. Co-op versus teams. We're just going to do co-op since I'm going solo for this instruction. Get my game piece right there. As you can see, it instantly reacts. Start game. And all I have to do is navigate my little spaceship and destroy the asteroids. And you can see how responsive this is. Like I said, I move it around on the board and spin it. The spaceship is trying to kill me. But I mean, this is so much better than just going tap on a, you know, display. Get some major points for these big boulders. And as I move around, I pick up the little green dots. Another UFO that I need to blow up. Oh, he got away. You see my scoring multiplies if I hit the smaller little asteroid rocks. Oh, UFO's back. Hurry, get him before time runs out. Got him. All right, we got a score 1780. Not bad. All right, we'll go ahead and check out another game. This one, Save the Blues. This is honestly probably my personal favorite on here. It reminds me so much of the classic game Lemmings. Very fun. Uh the objective, you're supposed to get these little blue blobs uh that'll teleport onto the playfield. You're supposed to get them back safely to a different teleportation area using various different pieces uh like stair climbing uh little blocks to prevent them from going in dangerous areas. Uh little cannons, lots of cool features on it. We'll go ahead and hit play. Tells you what pieces we'll need. We opened up the little bag already, so we got our pieces ready. Hit continue. I already started a game, so we'll go into a saved game. That way we don't have to worry about the tutorial and all that kind of stuff. Save games. And there's tons and tons of levels. I just scratched the surface of it, but we'll go back to an earlier level. I beat stage three here. Turn the volume up a little bit so you can probably hear it better. All right. So, you can pause the game and set your pieces or you can let the game uh play and set your pieces as things are going. Obviously, that's going to up the difficulty. But these little guys, these blues are going to come out of this portal here uh and they're going to try to traverse around the landscape. And your objective is to get them down here into the safe portal. So, I'm going to set my little stairs here. So, they'll go up the stairs. They'll come flopping down there. Uh we need to put a block here. That way they bounce off the block. They'll come down here and then. All right, we'll need another staircase there. And we'll have to reuse this one. Or we can do something different, but we'll go with this at first. So, unpause it. And here they come. As you can see, they kind of slowly pop out of there. You can speed the game up by hitting this fast forward button. And at any point in time, I could pause the game and reset some pieces. All right. And then move that piece over there. It looks like this should work. Everyone's bouncing off where they should. They're not going anywhere dangerous. They're not falling in the water. Hopping over. Looks like we're good. Going into the portal. Looks like I'm going to save for everybody. That's great. And it'll tell you up top how many you've saved, how many have got lost, how many are out of bounds. So, it looks like I got them all. And you get multiple stars for how quickly you beat the level and if you get the little achievements throughout there. We'll go over select Snake aka Snake. Play game. Tells us we got to use these little robot guys. I'm go with uh the pink guy here. Stands out, I think. Get our little loading screen. All right, we'll just do one player. Put our little robot there. And we're ready to start our game. Get our countdown. So, as I move my little robot guy, it controls the snake. And as you can see, the faster I move it, the quicker the snake moves. So, you're not held by going super slow. Now, I got different objects popping up, different point values. An objective. I don't want to catch my own tail. And I got to watch out for that poisonous apple thing for sure. But as you can see, I mean, this is something the kids can definitely do get into. And it's really really well responding to my movements. I thought it was going to be very off as far as pointing this thing, but I mean, I can speed it up pretty quickly. And even when I outrun the snake, it does a really good job of tracking where my robot guy is. Oh, time's up. All right. And we successfully made it past that level. This is going to be a two-player game that I'm going to play solo, but you'll get the gist of it. This is very Pong-esque. You're basically ricocheting things back and forth. Very fun game. So, we're going to be using the little spaceships again. I'm going to go with red and yellow, and we'll see how well I can do uh versus myself. We'll just add a little guest here. If you had multiple accounts set up, obviously you'd have dad, mom, the kids, whatever. So, I'm going to be the pink and I'm also going to be the yellow. So, chances are I'm going to win. As you can see, we got split down the middle here. So each spaceship shoots and ricochets these shapes across the middle line. Uh you get multiple shots here. As I say, I can move it and then collect all these little bullets for more ammunition, but I can't go across the middle there. So that's cheating. If I need to reload, like it says again, we're going to come out here. We're going to collect all those bullets. But the objective here, I'm trying to, you know, ricochet that into the opponent's goal area. And I'm successfully beating myself. Reload quickly. I'm running out of ammunition. Yeah, as you can see, we're really battling to try to get the yellow. And we're both running out of ammo. See if we can get this last piece in there. Uh-oh. Yellow. Yellow's edging it out. I say that as if I'm not controlling both of them. There we go. Get some more ammunition for both sides. But this is this is something that'd be super fun and addicting for the kids to play. Like I said, obviously not as uh blood pressure raising if I'm playing myself as I would be competitively playing against somebody else. But this is a very fun game and I'm very impressed with how well it works and how responsive it is cuz like I said I'm all I'm doing is just barely, you know, moving my spaceship and rotating it just slightly. I don't have to like press super hard or anything like that. Hey, would you look at that? I won. That's great. All right, next up we're going to play a little Chop Chop. This is uh think of it like a tapper only with cooking and lots of utensils. Basically, we're trying to amalgamate a nice little order for the customers. We're going to do it quickly. and hopefully get the right ingredients, do all the instructions, everything properly, and feed our customers and make some money. So, I'm making tomato soup. So, I got to make get my ingredients on the tables. Going to chop them. I'm going to put them all on the plate here. There we go. Got my tomato soup. Got to put it in the oven. It's going to cook. Now, I got to stir it good. Stir it once. Still cooking. Stir it again. All right, it's almost done cooking. All right, now it is ready. Put it over there and uh clean our area here and we'll get to cutting some more and this tomato soup should be ready for that customer. Great. Again, as you can see, this can get a little frantic. Oh, I didn't clean it. So, I'm going to get hit up with that while it's cooking. Go a little quicker here. Clean that up. Take it over there. Clean that up. All right. I'm already getting that frantic feeling cuz I know I don't have things going quick enough yet. See, I should have stirred that. I got soup waiting there. Did a poor job. I'm definitely not cut out to be a line order chef. Overall, I got to say, after testing the board, I've had a lot of fun with this. I mean, the versatility of the game pieces and everything, very unique. I love that concept. Something much more pleasant about having an actual tactile uh response when playing game versus just, you know, tapping tapping the screen over and over again. Uh the mix of games is very cool yet everything from arcade games, puzzle games, platforming games, uh and the promise of more games in the future. So, this is not like an obsolete closed off system. It does have that expansibility portion to it. Uh some improvements I would love to see. I mean, number one, I I do wish it had an internal battery. Uh the the length of cable and everything's fine. It's like 6 ft long, but if I wanted to play this in the middle of the living room, I'd have have an extension cord running, something like that. So, if we had an internal battery on this, that would be amazing. Uh and I do wish there was some sort of like protective cover when it's not in use. uh were able to take off the bezel and clean the system and everything, but if I was storing this in a closet, I'd want something over the top of it that keeps the screen uh from getting scratched and everything. But other than that, I mean, this thing exceeded my expectations with how well it performed. Uh the intuitiveness of the games, the responsiveness of some of these playfield pieces, like, you know, these rocket ships and everything where we're shooting missiles across the screen. I mean, these things worked out really well. I'm very impressed with them. I mean, overall, I think this is a great idea.
