## Transcript

Genesis does! You can't do this on Nintendo! Oh, hey guys, uh, how long have you been here? Alright, never mind. So, on this episode, we're gonna talk a little bit about Sega Genesis. I actually was the kid on the playground, believe it or not, who would fight with all his buddies who had Super Nintendo. Now, maybe it's because I was a little envious, but I fell in love with my Sega Genesis. And although now, you know, now I've kind of come to the conclusion that I like both of these consoles, and I feel a little bit bad for myself sometimes that I was a little neglected and didn't get a chance to play the Super Nintendo, but I'm making up for it in adulthood. So it's all good. So lots of great things to check out on the Super Nintendo. But the reason why we're talking about Sega Genesis is because it was the inspiration for this next arcade one-up build. So sit back, relax, and let's check it out. Alright guys let do this So I got all the parts and laid them out to make this simple and easy I using a bunch of third modify parts for this build so John Youssi I call them out as we go but I was kind of excited because it made the process a lot faster for me and admittedly I put the graphics on beforehand so I'm gonna give you a little hint here if you're gonna get graphics for your arcade cabinet take your cabinet apart and apply the graphics and then put it back together. I know that's a total pain in the butt, but it makes such a huge difference. It's way easier to put it on and I promise you won't run into any snags that way. So I'm gonna suggest you do that. So as I'm putting this together you'll see I'm actually using quite a few third-party parts that I got from different vendors. I'm gonna call those out, but I wanted to highlight them because honestly it made my process a lot easier and they make some pretty quality stuff. So let's finish wrapping this thing up. I'm putting in the front panel unfortunately it wasn't exactly how I want to do it I I put some sharpie on the front I don't know if you guys noticed that that front panel always has some issues so let's get started and check this thing out so as we pan up the side I'm super excited about the graphics on this cabinet the graphics were designed by a company called arcade designs the owner's name is Nick this guy is super talented and as you can see his artwork is stellar there no pixelation it just awesome high quality images so you give him an idea and the guy runs with it he doesn print the images but he makes it super easy if you use game on graphics so i highly suggest them and i'll have links into the description for that so as we pan around you'll see the control panel the control panel is actually by diy retro arcade so they have all these different boards and they come with CP protectors. Super nice stuff. As you can see, I put the Arcade 1UP logo there just to pay respects to the company that built the cabinet. And the marquee is super sweet. That's by Scott Evans. As you can see, the thing lights up. It's got a switch in the back. You can turn it on and off. Super nice. It's really, really good quality too. So go check that out. That's Scott Evans. And the name of this company is ArcadeGameFactory.com. And I'm going to have links in the description of his stuff, but I love it. It looks awesome. Best marquee I've seen so far. Like I said, the control panel is DIY RetroArcades. I love this option because it comes with T-molding, or an option for T-molding, and it comes with the acrylic top to protect it. Looks pretty sweet, and it'll save you some time. You don't have to drill your own stuff. So as we look into the inside of the cabinet I mounted the control LCD controller board this time I don usually do that I usually use the double back tape but what I noticed is when that stuff heats up it actually tends to want to go loose So I decided to secure it down I paid a lot of attention to the wiring on this one, tried to make it look super clean. And then there's something added an extra special in here. I love this. This is a retro pie case that's by a company called Retro Flag. It's called the Mega Pie. This thing is sick. It looks exactly like a Sega Genesis. It has front ports that extend to USB. Super awesome. I love it. So why I'm so pumped about this cabinet is I get to play all the classic Genesis games. Castlevania Bloodlines, Golden Axe, I love the Hyperstone Heist, Comic Zone, and of course the iconic and never gets old Streets of Rage. Love that game.
