- **[sentiment_shift]** Significant online tension between prominent content creator Kaneda and prolific Pinside user Iceman44, with public accusations of narcissism, influence overreach, and credibility in purchasing recommendations (confidence: high) — Kaneda reading and responding point-by-point to Iceman44's Pinside post accusing him of narcissism and having zero influence; extended discussion of unresolved personal conflict despite attempts at reconciliation
- **[competitive_signal]** Beetlejuice positioned as dominant market success story with exceptional aesthetic design; described as possibly fastest-selling pinball machine of all time (confidence: medium) — Kaneda: 'Beetlejuice is like maybe the fastest selling pinball machine of all time... I've never seen so much. It was sold out before it even was available... the sexiest pinball machine maybe ever'

- **[market_signal]** Stern's event strategy separating Pokémon reveal (Chicago) from Beetlejuice showcase (Pinball at the Beach) perceived as deliberate avoidance of direct competitor comparison (confidence: medium) — Kaneda: 'I think they're afraid to put it next to Beetlejuice... Some people were saying that there was a little too much volume now'
- **[product_concern]** Production quality concerns regarding unspecified game with manufacturing delays; wiring harness issues noted on production samples raising questions about owner installation burden (confidence: medium) — Kaneda: 'The game was shown in October... Brian Savage said It's a production sample. The wiring harnesses were not ready yet... Do they have to then redo the wiring harness on a game which would be a nightmare'

I'm going to need to go order a cable right now for my Let's see. because I need it for my you know the amount of stuff you now need to like log in to do this to do that. Oh my god, it's so annoying. You know, look, even, you know, I um I just want to let all of you know that I don't typically, and I and I mean this, it's just it's been a little bit of a week. I've been telling this to some of you out there. I don't typically respond to the Canada haters out there, but you know what? I had to I I just had to let everybody be reminded that to me it makes no sense why there are certain people out there that continue to just hate hate. I'm not doing anything to them. I'm not going into their spaces. I'm not going into their houses. So, let me um let me give you the reason why I put up my new Facebook page. By the way, did you see did you see my new Facebook cover photo? Did you see it? What do you guys think? Now, let me let me explain to you. Um, which which funny to me because I actually really do like Iceman. I do. I think and when you read what Iceman says, it's exactly my point of view on this hobby. I don't understand. It's like we're so similar in opinion now. We're We're obviously different. We're different in appearance and and our approach, but we we believe the same things about the overpricing of the games, Stern ruining the LE buyer market. Everything is the same. I I what I don't get though is the true like carnal hatred that he has for me. It's like what Doug, I didn't do anything. I didn't I I didn't piss in his cornflakes. I I didn't pour out his liquor in his garage. It's like, Doug, we're all into pinball, right? And I do think there's a little bit of like this this neverending narrative around how nobody who makes any pinball content has any influence whatsoever. You I don't understand the anger there because I do believe that there's a little bit of influence by by me upon my listeners, Carrie upon his listeners. Jen is and dawn upon their listeners, Ralph and Jamie. Like I don't know, people are somewhat influenced by what others have to say. I think I've had a strong influence on people waiting and not buying every new LE that comes out. So, um, Iceman 44 is he's been on Pinid since I feel like Pinsid's been a thing. He's He's a prolific collector of pinball. uh lives in um in Texas and he you know we used to get along great. I I don't understand even where this all came from. Now I will say this there have been many recent times and I can show you like the text messages where I've tried to just bury the hatchet but for some unknown reason it just he he refuses to uh accept any olive branch or any I don't know why. I don't know why. I really don't know why. Um, and we've all talked smack about each other so many times, but at some point you just got to be like, "All right, man." Like, it's probably much better to just find a way forward with people. Okay. And so, doesn't matter he is under his skin. So, Bill Brandice is a big friend of Doug, right? So, and Bill, you're my friend. So, Bill, what I don't get, and maybe Bill, you can answer this for me. What's What's with the the neverending vitriol? What's with it? Like, do you understand the source of it? Cuz I don't. Like, I've been trying to. The collar is popped, Donnie. Oh, man. But like the neverending the neverending uh accusation that I'm a narcissist. I'm a narcissist. How dare he want attention when he makes content? Ah, that narcissist. He wears two watches cuz he knows what time it is. But, you know, put him up. You know, I don't know. I um I just think it's I I'll just The reason why I put up that photo this week is it's been a rough week for me personally. And I'll tell you, it's been a lot of work. Um it's been a it's been a lot a lot of work. And my company has gone through another restructuring as they call it. And some people that I really loved have been uh let go which was very painful. And also uh Brenda's going through something at work which could lead to her no longer no longer having work. It's not it's not personal. It's not her her whole company might who knows like dissolve and declare bankruptcy again. Um, and you you look, I'm I am not someone who pretends to be immune to life. You know, I'm not one of these rich I could care less. Like, I I I'm, you know, no outside forces can impact my ability to have a a positive outlook or have a a good day and wake up in a good mood. As you always know, I say, waking up in a good mood is is always, I think, the measurement of success. And so I I've had a rough go and I all I am here is just and I'm not I'm no victim but it's just it's rough. It's rough. No, we're going to be fine. We're going to be fine. I mean you know the the if both of us lost our jobs right now. Yes. Like then we you know there'd be like some real like there's be some real soulsearching we'd have to do to figure out a way to have some you know income coming in. But everyone is like that at our age. Like Brenda's only 30 in her 30s. Like I'm still in my 40s so we we are not like retiring anytime soon. Uh we have absolutely have money in savings. Like most of our house is paid off. But you know it's like you still need money. Like the world is getting so ridiculously expensive. And if you want to do anything uh if you want to put money aside for the future, if you want to put money aside for your children, you know, you need some money. So I'm never under any any like um pretend. I never pretend to have more than I have and and I've always been very transparent with each and every one of you. So on a week like this and then I go on pin side and I'm just reading, you know, because I like to get I like to get topics. I like to see how things are going. It's fun seeing uh Jergermeister, you know, he got his Beetlejuice machine and and we're going to get some gameplay soon from Beetlejuice owners. I love seeing those games. I love going into the different owners clubs and reading what's going on. We're going to talk about the new uh sound update for Labyrinth that Dirty Pool did uh just the uh the other day. We're going to talk about Pinball at the Beach. We're going to talk about Stern and the new Pokemon. So, all right. So, I'm just there like here I am Canad, you know, like, okay, let's see what people are saying. And then all of a sudden, all of a sudden, I land on this extremely negative Let me Let me pull it up. Let Let's read it. Let's cuz I I do think it's funny when you actually take a look at who's writing all this and you know I again just unprovoked just unprovoked anger like I really don't understand it why why there's so much unprovoked anger by this one gentleman and again I say this because I don't like to hold on to anger and I think that people should move on from anger and I mean that I I'm not angry or mad at anybody but okay so let's read this Doug Iceman 44 he's got 29,923 posts on pinside. I mean, you got to just I mean, maybe he feels like this is the indictment is like 29,923. I mean, we need to have a celebration when Iceman gets to 30,000 total. 30,000 total posts on Pinside is uh is a whole second life dedicated to this hobby, man. Like, God bless you, Ice Bed. Um, that's a lot, right? Okay. Like I love it. Like the dude below him. Look at the amount of post that Art Boy has 239, right? It's like you got two dudes talking to each other. Okay. Anyway, he writes, "Here's how crazy it is in a nutshell. The studio invites people like Canada to the big reveal, NDA required, who has never purchased a Stern pinball machine unless it was to flip it and never will. Damn, Doug. Damn, Doug. I did purchase Batman 66 SLE for $16,000 new in box. Doug, does that not count? Should have kept it. It's worth about twice that now. I had it for two years, Doug. I love that game. Doug, I keep I love calling him Doug because it's like, all right, at least he calls me Canada. I remember where they I remember where there was like an effort on Pinite to call me like Chris Koris. A Chris Klores from New York, right? Remember that? Those days, Jenis. Um, all right. Here we go. On top of that, he trashes the I don't curse the [ __ ] out of them, which is fine. It's just to get rage clicks. Okay, so let's let's deconstruct this for a minute. I have a podcast, so there's no like rage clicking. I I don't I don't headline bait anyone to click. I do three shows about pinball every week. And I'm not trashing Stern unless they do something that deserves to be trashed. And I'm going into this launch like I'd go in I think all of us go into every stern launch with the same point of view. We all have an open mind. If Pokemon is amazing, guess who will be the first to say it? If Pokemon is empty like Star Wars or lazy or crappy art like Star Wars, guess who will be the first to say it? He goes on to say, this is my favorite part as I've got uh over 130 people. Again, when you break it down, this Facebook will get um around 2 to 3,000 total people will watch the Facebook live. And you know, I don't know, I've been looking at the YouTube numbers, like maybe two grand will will end up watching every Saturday morning spectacular. Okay, so I mean that's a decent amount of people considering how small this hobby is, right? That's twice the amount of people that can even buy a Beetleju. So he goes on to write Canada and and Doug, I know this is what you wanted and I'm giving you what you wanted, baby. You You got me you got me to respond to you. I fell for your bait. Um but you know, I wanted everyone to see um you know, both of our beautiful faces on on who writes this stuff. Canada especially has about zero influence over anything regarding a pinball buying experience despite his delusional narcissism. Okay. Okay. So I am a I I have I have this narcissistic delusion that what I say that what I say will impact some of you. Now, what's comical is that my entire point of view is that most people should wait and see, not lose $3,000 on every SternLe. And if you do, it doesn't mean don't get the game, but just get the game for a better price. Okay? And I think my delusional narcissism I don't even know if that's like So I think what he's saying is he thinks that I think that I have so much power over everybody that that I think I can control the failure or success of a game. Okay. All right. Bill Brandice. That's what's funny. They both get drunk and have to suck up. What is that? Oh, but Bill Bill he wrote this. So, Bill, so I think the difference, Bill, so was he drunk when he wrote this? I I don't know. This doesn't sound like the ramblings of a drunken man. Um, all right. Then he writes, "Maybe a Okay, this is you guys. Get ready, guys. I want you." Brace for impact, Canadian followers. Brace for impact because now he's talking about all of you. Here we go. Ready? Maybe a few clueless dummies that can't think for themselves walk and chew gum at the same time. Doug, I'm going to I'm going to drink coffee and hold some eggs at the same time. I don't know if this is clueless narcissistic dummies. You got me, Doug. You got me. All right. Great marketing the studio. Okay. All right. You know, and so I put up for those of you who haven't seen it yet, proud of my work. Hold on. Let's see. Ah, we'll leave his we'll leave his face out of it. I love Dough. Anyway, well, look, you know, I just want to say this to all the Canada haters out there who call me a narcissistic, sociopathic, like all these names. Like, it's like, are we still there? Are we still there? I'm not in therapy. Maybe we all need to be. We're all here just talking about pinball and we got a lot to talk about. So, let's get right to it. So, here's my thing that I've been thinking about. Let me let me ask you a question. So, all of the pinball media that have no influence, all of you narcissistic dummies, all of the pinball media, a lot of you are going to be going, a lot of the pinball media and the consumers are going to be going this coming Friday, maybe Thursday, to pinball at the beach. So, you've got all these people going to be in one place at one time, right? February like 8th, 9th, whatever it is. 7th, 8th, 9th. Okay. So, Stern Pinball wants is going to be there. They're all going to be there, right? George is going to be there. All the people Zombie, Seth, Dave, they're all going to be there. Sixth, seventh, and eighth. Okay. So they want everybody to go there and then three days later they want people to fly on their own dime to Chicago at in the worst time of year with the worst Carl Weathers imaginable when they could see Pokemon at the beach. Does anyone else see how inane that is that you are going to travel from sunny they they could just send the games because here's what's so inane. The game is done. The game's been done for a while. Why don't they just have the media sign an NDA down at the pool in Florida under a closed door room and have them come in? But why would you go like but but most people I just think it's a name. It's absolutely a name. Put it in a private room. It sounds very narcissistic of Stern. You have to see it in person. Um, look, I I just um look, it's a bad marketing strategy. I I wouldn't use that phrase, Asper. We We Let's be respectful. I I have many friends who go many ways in life, okay? Let's keep it respectful here. So, I think they're afraid to put it next to Beetlejuice. I I 100% think they are afraid to put this game next to Beetlejuice. I I think they're that that is they know that game is going to be there. It is going to arrive and get celebrated on a level. I mean, you got to remember Beetlejuice is like maybe the fastest selling pinball machine of all time.

I've never seen so much. It was sold out before it even was available. I'm gonna go off camera and have a little Brenda's soft eggy bites. Oh my god. You know, there is nothing in life better than just a good soft scramble. Bill, do me a favor. Bill, do me a favor. Um, just reach out, reach out to our boy Ice today and just be like, "Look, Doug, come on. Like, it's time. Like, you guys have you guys have jabbed each other one too many times. Just bury the hatchet. Reach out to Chris and you guys will enjoy this hobby 10 times more if you're both kind of making fun of Stern together." Like, I think he'd appreciate that. Can you do me that favor, Bill? He'll listen to you. He'll listen to you. Let's get my pearls around. I mean, the dude wears pearls. Who does this? Ah, Spooky will basically get a whole wall of Yeah, I expecting people I agree, Chris, to fly all over the place is absolutely insane. So, I I have a [sighs] I need I need a vacation and I need some time by the pool. So does Brenda. I I would love to go. I I'm you know I was talking with Jenis and Don. I know you know people have offered me up a room. I think I don't want to name names because then if people need a room I don't want them to hound these people. But for those people that have offered me the ability to stay down there. Thank you very much. I'm not going to name you because then I don't want people to ask you. Um, but I think it's it's really um it's going to be a fun time, right? And I just I don't know. I need a break, but I also I know everything Brenda's going through. It's Super Bowl weekend. Leaving her with all of the duties on top of whatever what's happening to her is is tough. But I might have a family member that can cover with the kids. And it would be fun to do Saturday morning spectacular from the beach. And I Yeah, you know me, I I love to take my shirt off. You know me, I love I love to take my shirt off and compare abs with Bill Brandice. Um, so yeah, but we are it's nice to know that we're only 11 days away and and that's like that's no time whatsoever. So, I am um I'm really really going to look forward to um to seeing what Stern puts puts out there. Now, George said the game looks good in person. You know what I'm saying? Like, I don't know, man. I don't know. I just want to go hang out with Jack Danger in Chicago. I don't even care about the game. I I mean that when I say that. I really just want to go hang out with Jack. I I definitely love I love hanging with George. I love I love hanging with George. I look I I see all sides of of the spectrum on on these releases, gang. I see all sides. It's not going to in February, though, Dave, it's not cold in Florida. It's It's disgustingly cold in Chicago. Yeah, family is absolutely way more important. Have you guys seen that Korean cooking show? Have you seen the Korean cooking show? I think it's called like culinary class wars. It's like my favorite cooking show where they just shovel big spoon a spoonful of food into these two judges mouths and they they're blindfolded and they just sit back and they chew like that like and they just like it's just like you can see them savoring every bite and identifying every ingredient. And it's it's so beautiful to watch that show because it makes you like appreciate every ingredient and and almost reminds all of us that when we eat we're all we're so usually scarfing it down and it's just it's just watching someone just chew. And someone told me this once, when you eat, just imagine every time you take a bite, you chew 10 times. How much more focused you are and present on enjoying the item. It's inc. We're We're all rushing too much. You sound fine. I don't have my mic. I miss my mic. So, um, can we talk about Beetlejuice for a minute? Can we talk about like how good that game looks? I almost don't even care if it plays good or not. It's I think it's the sexiest pinball machine maybe ever. It looks so freaking good. And And moment of silence. Rest in peace, Katherine O'Hara. Ohara O'Hara. I can't believe it's 71. I mean, I I think that shocked everybody. We just did work with her last year. I I mean, we did work with her on a Michelob Ultra Super Bowl commercial. She was in it with William Defoe. She was in the studio. Seth Rogan show is amazing. Like, I'm 71. So when you start to realize that for most people out there midlife is like 38. It's not 50. This This notion that midlife is 50. Who's living to be a hundred in this crazy world? Beetlejuice Butter Cabinet will go where GNR is. That's That's happening. Guns and Roses will move down the stairs. Derek Musket will come have to have to move it for me. after um after the show, I'll go to the gym. Today's um biceps, triceps, some shoulder. Can we just say that 2026 has been maybe one of the worst years people have experienced in a long time. It just sucks. Like the people dying, what's going on in the world just politically, the division, the anger, Bad Bunny at the Super Bowl. Like what what are we doing? Bad Bunny shouldn't be the Super Bowl halftime show. Like this is just stupid. Like, and nothing against Bad Bunny music, but why did we turn the world into this? Like, when did the halftime show of the Super Bowl turn into like a political stage? The like in such a negative way. Like they know that s like most like they know what they're doing. Like Apple's just doing it to just annoy people because Jay-Z's behind gets to pick the artist. Like that's the story. I I just think it's so annoying. I I just think pick anybody else that's just more like like it's just everything has to be to troll like everyone has to it's like everything is just done to make people like feel bad and the people that are going to watch. It's like the same thing. It's like Kendrick Lamar's was terrible. It was the most watched ever. Yeah. Because people don't even care about football are watching but what's the point? What's the point where you need to have like Kendrick Lamar crumpin with Serena Williams like throwing up gang signs as like our Super Bowl halftime show? It should just be like Bruce Springsteen. I would rather have Guns and Roses should play. Like it should be, you know, iconic rock, iconic country. even like I don't even care if it's iconic rap, but like like what are you doing? Nine inch nails would be fine. Like I don't you it's just but again like everything's just so politicized now and it's and you know you know he's going to wear a dress. You know he's going to come out in a dress. Yeah. I think it should be an artist that's like the local the big artist from the hometown should be who plays in these in these stadiums. Look, I like all types of music. I got to be honest. I like all types of music and I can't stand Bad Bunny. I just think it's mumble crap. I can't stand Drake. I like Drake's old stuff, but all this mumbling and and it's just like you can't sing along and it's just about the vibes like the kids with the No, No, no. Give me Sabrina Carpenter. Give me K-pop Demon Hunter. Give me Taylor Swift. Give me uh I'm trying to think of like the new artist. Give Give me Machine Gun Kelly. Give me give me any day of the week like a song I can sing along to. I I can't take just vibe music. And I like Spanish artists, don't get me wrong. I I nothing against bad but it's but he like like give me Shakira, give me Enrique, give me Mark Anthony, give me you know Jayla. I you know what I'm saying? his stuff is not it's just it's just the whole like mumble [ __ ] like name a song like uh and he's the number one streaming artist in the world. Yeah, it's the kids, man. The kids. the if I if I put on nail polish, the kids would be like, "That's so progressive. You You know, you you're really helping, you know, move culture forward." And you know, like, no, men shouldn't wear nail polish, they could wear pearl necklaces. Sure. This is as far as I'll go. Brenda got this for me. I'm like, "Whatever. I'll wear I don't care about necklaces. MGK wears nail polish, by the way. Um, let's see. So, I saw the sound package on LA. Did you guys see the labyrinth? Only 58 left. Do you guys see that picture? Only 58 Labyrinth machines left. I'm like, huh? huh? I think they're like piled up at barrels. Um, people talked crap about Shakira. They should do whatever they want. Yeah, man. I don't care. You could do whatever you want. Here's the thing about life. You can do whatever you want, but you also can, you know, people are allowed to judge you on your actions as well. Um, you didn't like Labyrinth. So, our friend Dirty Pool did the new sound package on it. I I was reading in the thread. It was getting like mixed reviews at first, like it's a lot louder, a lot more emphasis on sound effects. Some people were saying that there was a little too much volume now for the effects. There's an example of when it's when the music's going and then it's counting up your score. It's like the the counting of the score sound like overrides the music. But there's also an ability in the equalizer section of the sound setup to adjust that. I just think it's cool that, you know, this guy I love him. I love his work. He's He's he's, you know, he's given the opportunity to enhance Labyrinth. I I still think if if you bought a labyrinth, um yeah, you probably haven't had sex all year. That's just kind of like my take on it. Like it's just Yeah, man. I just

I don't know, man. When I was a little boy, the only reason I watched The Labyrinth was for Jennifer Connelly. So, I really not really, you know, it's like David Bow's Bulge is the only thing you get. I I don't know, man. And I'm worried that Vaness is going to do Never Ending Story next. And I'm kind of feeling like, man, I don't know, man. I don't know. I don't I think he he David needs a cool American like Canada to sit next to him and be like, "Bro, like, but this is the problem. Like, he wanted me to sign an NDA and like I did and but he gave me two titles and you know, I don't know anything else. So, like anything I say now won't be about the two titles he mentioned. and it'll be about what I'm I'm hearing as a rumor. But I don't know. I'm still a little worried. I'm a little worried. You know me. I I still think I think Winchester's a little bit of a a fluke for them and it worked out. I'm glad it worked out, but I do worry that Winchester is going to give them a false sense of they know what they're doing because even when they they said it recently, they're like, "Well, this opens the door for us to go after more, you know. obscure like or you know and I'm like h I don't know man that you know you got l I think they got lucky I don't I don't think it's like I would not be putting my chips in that basket many times so do you like the two titles yeah you know 525 is not a lot of profit and and they know that I mean that's why there's I still think there's going to be a really long delay between you getting your game and when you saw the game. I mean, it's it's very significant right now. The game was shown in October, gang. They're not on the line, man. They got to get through all these dunes and so like and I still don't understand those like they were called production samples. Can we can we call it just a is something a production sample or is something a prototype still? Makes you think, right? When they lifted the hood on that game, it looked real messy under there. Brian Savage said, "It's a production sample. The wiring harnesses were not ready yet." Okay. Okay. So then I'm like, "Well, if the wiring harnesses aren't ready yet, what why are they going out? Don't Don't like so then those owners what do those owners have to do? Do they have to do they have to then redo the wiring harness on a game which would be a nightmare. Kelly Daniels got Beetlejuice number 30. Where's Sad Boy? Where's any of the donations? We got no We don't have a single donation here today. Bill Brand is nothing. I mean, heck, not even from Hector. I want to give shoutouts. I can't if no one does anything. You know, you know how this works. This pays for Brenda's drinks tonight. Brenda Brenda needs a drink. She needs a She needs a drink badly. Mama Bear needs a drink. And don't worry, I will take care of her. But I love I love popping the bottle from you guys. Look at this guy. Haunted pinballer. Thank you, brother. Let's get this Let's get this drink party started. Fizzy's in there. Fizzy, man, I love you. It was fun talking to Fizzy about getting his beetle juice. Remember Remember the good old days when Fizzy was nervous about getting his game. Let me tell you something right now. Anyone who like anyone who calls me and I and I have the ability, I will help you get any game you want. There There is for those of you who think for those of you who think Canada gets special treatment I'm unfortunately I'm here to tell you he does. For those of you who think that Canada gets opportunities to buy games that and scalp them for more than sticker when they should go to when they should go to like real fans. Yep. Sorry. I'm going to get it. for the Hey, like it's like Bill knows this. Tommy Jazz, Bill, if you ever go to want to go to Tommy Jazz in New York City, you're either going to wait online or you're going to you're going to walk in the secret entrance with Canada the way Bill did with his parents. What a time. The way Jamie did. What a time. Um, everyone who's ever Brett, look at this. Oh, man. I love you, brother. How Ozette. How am I saying that right? And are you my brother down in Am I saying this? Are you down in Florida with the gym and the cyber truck? Bro, let's get some damn drinks. Are you going to be a pinball at the beach? Okay. No, man. And dude, welcome to the club, by the way, bro. Like, I I don't know how long you've been a member of the Canada Club, but I want to say I love it. You're my kind of people. I think I think we I think we know we're like brothers from different mothers. I love your style. You have a beautiful family, bro. You get it, man. You get it. Um, and so like I think you know how to enjoy life. So you you're cut from the same cloth as I am, man. And And let the haters hate. And everyone's going to talk their smack as they look at the rear. You know, they're going to look at the the backs of our cars when we're we're pulling out that red light. I love it. I love it. We know how to stay in shape. We know how to stay positive. And the haters are going to hate. Aussie got the postgame Ivy hydration, too. Nice, dude. I love it, man. It's so You know what's crazy is the people that can't can't just like get over themselves and join this funky bunch. Like, this is where where else are you guys going in the pinball space? Think about it. I mean, Don does good lives. Carrie does some lives, but this is like a weekly. It's like you just know what's going to happen. You know, where in the world is Canada? He's going to be doing these. I see a post of someone already has a Winchester relic number 217. That doesn't make any sense. And I mean, I thought they were building them in order. I don't know. Is 217 significant or something? I don't know, man. I look, you know how I feel about Winchester? I think it's a really smart move by them. I think the game play itself is difficult and I think the more I watch people stream it, they're getting punished by the game, man. And like this is the challenge when you're Carl and you're that good. I think he made a game that challenges him. And I think for the rest of you, you're going to be chopping wood trying to get through that game. That's how I feel. It's a beautiful game. It's a beautiful art package. It's a beautiful sound package. It's just unique. It's a world under glass. It's everything I like about pinball. I just think it might be a little diff a little too difficult for a lot of you to truly enjoy it. So, we shall see. Again, that's just my early observation of watching the streams. I don't have enough time on it, but that's my early observation. I also think for those of you out there who you're not you're fools for not scalping it. You're it it look like I don't think this game is going to go way up in value. I also don't think it's going to plummet either, but I think you could make a ton of money and then buy back in because trust me, if you knew what I knew is coming, you know, most of it, but man, I'm telling you, it's the hype is going to die down and plowing through the mystery house is not going to be as much fun as looping loop toloop with Sonic. And now look, the thing that will always make this game hold value is 525. That's it. They're never making anymore. That was smart. JG, I I don't disagree with you, man. I don't disagree with you. It's a collector's game. So is So is Beetlejuice, guys. Like, not for nothing, there's a lot more than a thousand pinball collectors in this world. A lot more. And you know, I think people forget this. This is why the boutiques are just it's scary to think how can you imag Okay Okay let's just say this for imagine if they only ever made 500 Guns and Roses pinball machines. I I want I want you to go down this mental road with me right now. Imagine if there was only ever 500 Guns and Roses Jersey Jack machines in the world and that was it. See? See what I did there? How much money they'd be worth? Yeah. Just one addition. See? Well, it would only they'd all be CES. So, here's the problem with all the other less that are so Beetlejuice. There will never be more than 1,80 stupid show games. 1,00 only 999 N80. You know, there's 1,079 Beetlejuice games. I hate saying it. Bug and Luke know how much I hate that move. It was like It was like It was literally the lamest move ever. It was just basically them putting another like I don't know $80,000 into DRO's pockets and another 100 $200,000 in their own pocket. Then just say you're going to make 179. I know they listened. They knew. They knew it would. They knew it. They knew. They knew. You know what I'm saying? they knew. Um, so let's talk Pokemon. Isn't it Isn't it crazy? It's like 11 days away. Nobody really wants to talk about it because you guys don't even care about Pokemon. But what do we think Pokemon will do? Because seeing how the Stern Al goes is indicative of how the rest of it will follow. So, do we think I think you Mad Pinball Jeff over at Mad Pinball is telling people he's sold out. Jeco Reno, baby. Thank you for the 1999. My wife loves GNRC. Well, look, gang, nothing against Guns and Roses, man. It It's still If you only have if you only have or want to play pinball for 10 or 20 minutes, I don't I think GNR is amazing at that. It It is absolutely one of the most stunning 10 to 20 minute pinball experiences you can like you can jump on, have a few whisies and have a great time, be on the night train. You know, I I've never heard Bill Brandice say anything nice about Harry Potter. Never. No, it's the opposite. Bill Brandis is the biggest has a heart on for Harry Potter. Like Like Harry Potter is Bill Brandice's Viagra, you know, if Sabrino's like, "Bill, I'm feeling it tonight." He's like, "Wait a minute, Sabrina. Let me just go play a few games of Harry Potter first." You know, that's his like foreplay. He like um I'm read I'm reading what you guys are saying about so there's going to be I think there's going to be a thousand Pokemon less. I think this will be one where they won't want to limit it to like 500 or something. Now if they were smart I would do 500 uh you know I this was just a rumor. Frank made it up, but like 500 Pikachus and 500 Charizards. That would have been smart to do 500 of each character because then at least, you know, at least you have like one of only 500. But again, we're talking smart marketing moves and then we're talking Stern and they're going to be like licenser approval. I'm still every time George Every time George says licenser approval, an angel gets its wings. You know what's interesting? What's up? What's up, Billy Dog NC? You know what's interesting to me is that I think Winchester is everything that people wanted Alice to be. You know what I'm saying? Like Alice is another 500 run game. It's a boutique game. It's a pretty game, but it but there's not much of a game and it's very like you just you're just over it after like a few hours really. I I don't know. I think Roz is going to be a much more rewarding game for people than Alice was. And Alice, see the the mistake made by Alice was to make 500. And Alice should have been 200 to 250. It was like a design study from Melvin just to prove what he could do to prove that Dutch could do these lowrun boutique games. 500 was just always too many. And it's weird, right? Because like they sold them allish, but they never they didn't make them all. And now I think we're going to see as more and more people in America have to start making their final payments, I think they're gonna start putting them up because they'd rather have something else. Michael Miguel Jones, um, what's up, Hilton? I heard a rumor that Elli will have their own limited card that comes in the game on the apron. Uh, I I hope so. I hope so. Hilton because I I think they're going to need something. I also like I you know what's weird about that is so what does that mean? Like are people going to be able to sell those cards to Pokemon fans and replace them or I don't know. Like Canadian needs to spin off a separate podcast just to talk about G&R. Did you guys hear my Guns and Roses interview? It was fun. If you go to Appetite for Distortion, it's the podcast. I don't know why the sound quality is crappy on the podcast. like the YouTube sound quality is way better. Brando, man, he's a really nice guy. He's a real big fan of G&R and I feel bad because, you know, he's tried to monetize it and I was like, "Yeah, man. You know, I did a little He's done like 500 episodes, a little bit more, like 580." And, you know, I looked on Patreon. He doesn't really have many subscribers. And Yeah, I would absolutely sell the trading card. I I just couldn't see Pokemon giving Stern something of that kind of value. I I just I just I don't know. But in the world of Pokemon, right, all those limited editions, I don't even know like if if like the new limited edition cards are really where it's at. I think people still might want the old stuff that came out years ago. I I don't know. I'm I'm not on the pulse of what's happening with Pokemon card collecting. Who here, show of hands, who here is excited for Pokemon? I'm excit I'm always excited to see a new game. I'd ra, you know, Pokemon I I just I just don't know what um what to expect with it. I will never own anything Pokemon. Nope. Wow. immediately. This This is getting there's a poll happening on um on YouTube right now and 72% of people are not excited for Pokemon right away. No leaked pics. No leaked pics. Excited to route it. So I heard that Transformers and Fallout are insane. And I heard this from somebody who I really trust that the next two games from Stern, I think we're going to see the return of Stern. I think they know it. Seth is pissed off. George is not happy. Zombie Eddie's gone mental on me. Jack Danger feels demoralized. Brian Eddy clocks in and clocks out every day. You know what I'm saying? Like Stern is not going to take all of this vitriol lying down. They are not going to just like keep cranking out crap. They know what's up. He said it's packed. No dealer has seen the game.

Come here.

Come here. Oh my god. tangled the neck. It was

Show everybody. It's Pokemon.

It was

This is an ominous. It was a fight.

Yeah.

What happened? Show them all.

Show them what's going on. Who's like Lift it up.

It's It t The snake tangled the neck. Lift that.

Oh my god. Is that Charizard?

But this one It didn't This is It didn't transform.

No.

No. This one doesn't show transformed because when it transformed it's even bigger than this one. It's even bigger.

Oh, really?

Yeah, because it has black on him also.

Oh, okay.

Where you going?

Byebye.

All right. See you later, bud. I mean that it was it was a Charizard lynching. This could be an ominous sign. Hold on. Let me just go close the door. Oh man, [sighs] it's like exhausting. It's exhausting being this entertaining. It It's exhausting being this humble. It's exhausting being this narcissistic. It's exhausting Oh man, let me knock on wood. I just hope I can um I hope I can um keep providing for this family as much as I can. You know, that's my um that's the only thing I worry about as a dad is is uh the only real responsibility of a man is to provide for his family and and enjoy life, you know? I mean, what else are we here to do? It's not like I'm coding the cure for cancer or designing a rocket to get to Mars. I mean, I want these kids to have as much experiences and opportunities and joy as I've been able to have. It It was not always all joyous. Thank you. Um, the truth car $20. The thoughts on the new ownership of American Pinball in partnership with Planary Pinball making seven remastered Value Williams games. Um, yeah, I'm not worried because no one can ever take me from, you know what I'm saying? Like even if if I lose a job, I don't lose me. I'm I know that I can bring value to to organizations and to companies. I absolutely know that wherever I go, Canada makes it rain. Um, here's my thing about American Pinball. I I know what I don't know about this new company. And I don't know much about this new company. What I do know, they have a lot of money. I heard um what is it? Uh Ron and Brian, is it Brian? I know they've got a lot of capital, but I also know that billions of dollars doesn't even equal a good pinball machine. So what I would like what I'm trying to do Oh, let me get to the planetary part and and I've spoken to Rick many times personally and and it's nothing personal when I say what I'm about to say, but I just think Rick has been prostituting these titles around the world the last few years and I don't like it. I think he was very smart in acquiring all the IP, but I just this whole like whoever who like he's just it's these games are prostitutes looking for jobs and and I just it doesn't excite me at all. I I think they've gone through the ones that people really wanted. I think CGC made those games. I think now it's it's going to get embarrassing because I think what's going to happen now is the quality is not going to be there and the the 2.0 code kits have been bad. So, I don't really get get it. I don't get excited about these older games. Uh Hilton said, "Remaking classics is a complete failure unless they are quality and understand pinball pro pricing." Yeah, I I don't I don't see any attractiveness anymore in a $10,000 remake. I also don't like any company that begins its next chapter by looking back. And I think the inking the deal with Planetary only is beneficial to Rick. It's not beneficial to American Pinball. I that is not the direction I would take the company in. That is not I I think right away once you start doing the Ballet remakes, it is indicative that you have nothing developed internally that you think can be competitive in the modern pinball landscape. Because remember, this is a company that will only be able to make one game a year. And as much as as much as they're going to say otherwise, and they all look look, David Van Es said he can make more than one game a year, they really can't. Jersey Jack hasn't put two games on a line ever. Spooky, you know, Spooky is like the only one that's kind of done it, right? They have like four games on the line right now. But everybody else has failed to ever create multiple product lines a year. So I again, like nothing against these guys, I just don't know what experience they have running and executing a pinball manufacturing company. And as I've been saying, I'm keeping an open mind, but I don't really get excited about anything from the past, and I look forward to seeing what they do in the future. They're just trying to sell a cap of prior games. Yeah. The real the real interesting thing when you think about it is what's next from CGC, right? Like where's this long rumored Mark Ritchie Halo game? Remember Play Mechanics? Remember that was supposed to be a thing. They made Pulp Fiction then went away for years. I think what's happened is the juice is not worth the squeeze for some of these companies and you know they're really they're really not moving forward with like future pinball plans or nearly I I don't know I I'm so content with what is about to come out from Stern Jersey Jack Spooky and Barrels like if I if I were to just pick those companies we will all have more than enough great new pinball once a to choose from. I think with where the economy is at in the world, I think a lot of us are going to be buying less over the next few years versus more. I think more and more people in America and around the world are going to start adopting a lot more of a minimalist lifestyle. I think we've been all um used to a certain lifestyle that was easier to maintain 10 years ago. I think now reality is going to start to set in. And not to say you're not some of you are are beyond that predicament, but I do think and I hear this more and more. I heard this from Dom this morning. I hear it from Ralph. I hear it from everybody. I hear it from Jenga. It It's really going to take an exceptional game for a lot of people to put that game in their game room. Okay. An exceptional game. And I see Beetlejuice as an exceptional game. Winchester is an exceptional collector's item right now. I I understand it. I haven't seen an exceptional game from Stern in years. I don't think Pokemon's going to be it. I think Transformers will be an exceptional game. I do think if they have you got the touch and G1 Transformers and it's got the iconic 80s theme song, I think it's going to be exceptional. But any like Harry Potter is exceptional. I'm not supposed to say this, but I'll say it. I've seen a little bit of a little blue hedgehog. You're all going to want the CE. Let me just say that. You're You're all going to want the CE. exceptional what's going on over there. Brett and and Eric and Leonard and you know Joe Katz and Keith John like the the entire you know Tom Capera you know Jersey Jack is going to start just forcing Stern to get better which is good. Spooky's on a whole another level in my honest opinion. Not Not higher than JJP, but Spooky to me is just this beautiful this beautiful position in the market.

And I think what we're going to get I I think Elwin's next game is going to be his best game ever. I do. I think his next game is going to be his best game ever. And I feel like he's finally been given the amount of time he needs. I think that he's I think he's going to rise to this occasion. I think great talent rises to the occasion. just was. And I I don't think um I don't think he's used to that. I think he's tired of all the idiots like Canada. I think Zombie Yeti is also going to rise to the occasion. I don't think we're going to see Yeti's artwork on as much anymore. His job as art director is not necessarily to do all the art. It's just to make sure the games look the best they can. Uh, Walking Dead has been a sales abysmal seller, but Stern's gotten him very lazy. They've cut a lot of corners. They've unfortunately spike 3 is turning out to be a cost cutting measure, not an improvement. It's a little bit of an improvement, but not as much as it needed to be. You know what I'm saying? So, for every like improvement, they also took away some of the quality and the craftsmanship and the detail as if we wouldn't notice. And the moment you start opening up the backbox and showing a Raspberry Pi that cost $30 as your new computing system, you know, there there's going to be a lot of people that understand what's inside it. And just because you have a little bit more uh, you know, better speakers doesn't mean like it's worth $3,000 more than the premium because the speakers that you put in. So you what? You went from $20 speakers to $30 speakers. You know what I'm saying? like they we're talking significant significant price asks. I think the um I think the unfortunate reality for Stern is that they their Ellie model just doesn't work anymore. And again, we we always talk about this, but the the truth is is that the Ellie model was how they was what they used to shove inventory down the throats of dealers and distros. And so when you know that, you know that that's what Stern's entire business model revolved around. You want these 20 lees, you've got to buy, you know, these 60 games from me. That That is just shoving inventory down the throat of dealers. And once they get that check for those 60 games, they don't care. They don't care if you have to sit on those games. Not only what's what's really disgusting about it all is you you've bought those 60 games and now you can't even price it the way you want. You're You're beholden to their price. So you you can sit and pound sand and not move any Venom less because you're not allowed to price it below $13,000. What kind of What kind of arrangement is that? I bought these games from you, Stern. You have my effing money. I can't sell them at this price because the market value of them has instantly decreased. And you're telling me I'm not legally allowed to under the contract to actually sell this at the market value? Yeah, that sounds like a great deal. That sounds like a great business model to be in for them and horrible for everybody else. It's not It just doesn't last. It's not going to last, you know. And I think, look, I think everyone's come around to this. You know, Don's not buying any more LE's. We were talking this morning like 5 in the morning. Don's because he's tired. He's tired of losing his shirt on like, you know, guy loves pinball, buys a $13,000 le in the next six months. They're selling for $8,900. Yeah. How many times you gonna do that? the the truth is it's two things. It's not that they made too many less, it's that they made too many mediocre. Stern games just haven't been exceptional. I mean, I love using that word as sort of like the the benchmark. If you make something exceptional, then you will sell out of a thousand instantly. Then those thousand less will be, you know, they'll hold pretty good for a long time.

When is Slinky going to be here?

When is Slinky going to be here? Let's see. Is it here yet?

I don't know.

I don't see him. Let me Let's check if he's out for delivery. Okay. Killian's getting a plush Slinky from Toy Story 4, and he wanted to look out the window all day long until the truck arrived. Uh, this started at 6:00 in the morning. He would have been staring out the window for five hours. I think that's too long. Or should we look real quick?

It's too long.

It's too long. Are you sad?

Okay, hold on. Hold on. Let's look. Let's look. We can look right here. See? Track your orders. Here we go. Arriving today. Let's see.

Where is he?

I know. Let's see. Uh,

which one's Slinky?

He's still not He's still not out for delivery yet.

Where's Slinky? Which one's us?

Let's see. See all the updates. Let's see all the updates.

All right. So, he's he's still getting sorted out. He's not out for delivery. He'll be here today. Don't worry. You'll have him by dinner.

No, I won't.

You won't?

He won't come when when it's dinner time.

I think he'll be here before

before dinner.

Yeah, I think that's going to happen.

Is it dinner right now?

It's not dinner right now, buddy. You know what my mistake was? Is No. Are you hiding back there, Killian?

No one's hiding nowhere.

No one's hiding nowhere.

Where am I?

Where is the Earnest pin with fake Jimmy? Oh my god. What is the last exceptional Stern Ellie?

I can't get out. [screaming]

Can't get out.

Come on, buddy. Come here. Come here. Go. Go see mommy. Go see mommy. You're making a fool of yourself. Did you just break that? Did you just bite that? Why [snorts] did you bite that? That's my Neo Geo keychain. Killian, come on.

Broke it.

Where is the keychain?

Yeah, we broke it.

But where is it?

We broke it.

I know.

Destructive nature of kids.

Now I can't open up. I gotta go find the I got to find the keys to that because I don't know where he put them. I'll do that after this. Oh my god. Okay, so uh Hilton asked what was the last exceptional. I look I I wanted I wanted to say Jaws Hilton, but like you know then they made the 50th even more exceptional. I still don't think Jaws I think Jaws is a code masterpiece. I think the layout and the game itself is a little overrated. Again, I just the fact that there they didn't make a wow mech out of a shark. I don't think you can use the word exceptional. Okay. Yeah. You see him? Like he's proud that he broke it. Oh my god. [sighs] I may just keep my Demon in storage for years because like it's nice not having it block up the driveway. It's an amazing storage facility. It's 300 bucks a month. But I will say this, Canad's been working with one of my listeners locally. We're We're trying to find a spot, a pinball spot to open up here. Um, but it needs to be a bar and it needs to be I want to open up more of like a membersonly arcade uh and get people to pay like a monthly membership to have like a hangout. And I think we can make it work because I think that's what is missing in these towns is like I keep going places but it's not like it's not like fun, you know? And I'm spending all this money, but there's not like the people I want to be around. There's not the music I want to be around. I don't know, Bill. What do you think, Bill? Cigars, yes or no? The thing with cigars, I mean, it's just then it's a cigar bar and then you're you're smelling like cigars. I don't know, gang. When I stand over a Jaws Pro, it looks like the cheapest thing ever. I I'm almost like embarrassed. It looks like a $4,000 game, not a $7,000 game. I'm just saying. Yeah, cigars is too much. It's too much. It's I I mean, we may do like a fire pit outside where you can smoke cigars. I think that'll be like the the um the balance or the compromise. But indoor cigar away. You can always buy the Richard Drifus edition. Sign on his website for Is it still available? Really? Hold on. Richard Drifus. He has I didn't realize he has a website. Where? Where is it? Jaws Pinball. Just looking. I don't know. Can't find it. Joining the game late, Franchie. Why you late? You missed it all. Um, played in AC/DC last month. Bill talking cigars. All right, everybody.
