## Transcript

Hey guys, welcome back. All right, so it is November 2nd, and this is Coffee Talk, but it's not live, unfortunately. This is pre-recorded, and I'm sorry about that, but I'm actually on my way to go back to Rhode Island where I grew up. Now, I share a lot of personal things with you guys on the Coffee Talk show, you know, specifically that show. That's kind of the show that I sort of say whatever's on my mind, and we talk about stuff, all sorts of stuff, and stuff other than gaming. we talk about personal things and stuff like that too and uh yeah it's really sad but uh someone very important to me in my family passed away um there you know it's my uh my grandfather on my mother's side of the family so it's um he's someone that meant a lot to me growing up and he was very instrumental uh to my life at that time as a kid and it uh yeah it's really sad it's sad and uh no one ever wants to lose a loved one but uh yeah i found out last week and it was it It was really hard on me, actually. So I did send a channel update that said that I'd be taking a break. So everything this week is all pre-recorded. It's stuff I recorded prior. And I'm not going to be, you know, going live or putting any new content on the channel this week. So, yeah. So it's really sad. It's unfortunate. And I'm sure if you've lost a loved one, that's really important to you. Many of you have, probably. Some of you may have from COVID. Some of you may have from old age. You know, this was an old age thing, but it still doesn't make it any easier to know that he's no longer going to be around. So. Yeah, it's a it's it's a sad thing. So anybody going through that, if you are going through that right now, you know, all I can say is, you know, think about that person and the things that they did that meant a lot to you and in your life and how they touched you and all the positive things that came out of that. and uh you know it's easy to just you know be angry or upset but uh i've come after a couple days you know it's probably three days ago that i found out it's been um it's been fun to think back at all the awesome memories and things in my childhood that were very very positive that i'll never forget and so um so i you know i happy that he no longer suffering and uh you and he in a better place So yeah sorry to get all deep with you on a Monday morning And Coffee Talk is supposed to be about fun, so we'll get into something fun really fast. But yeah, so I'm gone. I'm on a plane right now as you're watching this. So I put it as a premiere so you guys can talk amongst yourself. But yeah, be there for each other, right? If it's something that someone's going through something, share that. Share that in the chat right now. I won't be there to join in on it right now, but help each other out. That's part of the community that's so awesome that we've built. I feel like everyone has become very friendly with each other, and some people have built really strong relationships outside of the show, and it just began in the chat. So how cool is that? Like, how cool is that that friendships have sparked up that are external to the show and it started in a chat or started on a topic or in a comment in the chat? That's pretty cool stuff. And I never would have anticipated that that this community would have would have would have kind of turned into that. And what's so awesome is right now, you know, to talk about some positive things right real quick is right now everyone's sort of still in this like weird covid world we live in. right? Who knows how long this is going to last, but those friendships probably mean a whole lot to people right now because you can't really interact as much as you used to be able to. So that's the same for me. I've been working from home for nine months. It's been crazy. Of course, my job was flying around and doing meetings in different locations, and now it's literally the same room every day, day in and day out. Some people weren't as lucky to be able to work from home. So people actually lost their jobs, went through hardships. So this has been a really tough this has been a really tough period for a lot of people. But the cool thing is, is that there's some really interesting and awesome things and friendships that have grown throughout the community. And I know it's actually helped a lot of others. You guys have helped each other out, which is really cool. So, you know, the the channels changed a lot over the past, you know, two years. Believe it or not, December 18th of this year will be two years of me doing YouTube. And at first it was like this very one-way street, you know, it was like I did a video and you watched it and you commented and that was kind of it And then I started weaving in a little bit more live content but made really more about playing games and then you know Justin and I started the one weekly and that was really awesome like this whole community started on and it was on the channel then we were like let's make it its own channel and and it just it grew a lot more and it it was no longer a one-way street it was a dialogue back and forth and I got to know more of the members in the community and and I and I and you guys definitely got to see a little bit more of my personality and it was it was really cool so like i'm really enjoying the direction the channel is going in where it's you know more live content more interactive getting to know the people of the community a little bit more it's it's been really really neat and i i never really anticipated it going that way but i think maybe that's just part of everything right everything in life changes uh and evolves right so just like just like you know in your own jobs and your careers and your family like things change kids grow up and you have more challenges and issues as they get older believe me I have a 17 year old daughter it's weird she's sort of coming back around at 17 and I feel like my son is turning 13 and he's like all hormonal and going crazy so yeah it's just like just when you think things are settling down it's like things flip on you and so life is all about change and changes and being able to adapt to those changes I don't really know where I'm going with the conversation at this point, but I'm just, all I can say is I'm very happy to have everyone who subscribes, who watches the content. Justin's the same way. I don't want to speak on his behalf, but I know how he feels. He's super grateful for everyone that watches, everyone that invests their time and, and, you know, is interested in, they're interested enough in what we're doing that they're spending time out of their own day to watch. That's super cool. As long as that keeps happening, I know I will be continuing to create content and I'm pretty sure Justin feels the same way we're pretty proud of the one-up weekly and how it's evolved and turned into something that community members contribute and it's like this really neat it's just this really neat atmosphere and you know we hope that that continues to go that way so anyways that's all this was about next week I'll be back so on the 9th I believe it is so the following the next Monday I'll be back for a live coffee talk so hopefully you know you guys can tune in for that But I gonna you know right now I leaving a place that literally right now I just went outside An Amazon package came like super late at night It was actually a cover for my phone I cracked my phone So I don have time to repair it So I'm trying to, you know, go on a plane and hopefully. But anyways, it's crazy. Had to get COVID tests because going to Rhode Island, if you don't have the test, you've got to quarantine for 14 days. So we have we have negative tests. We're not we don't have COVID. Kim and I took the negative tests. When I show up in Rhode Island, we had to give those tests to someone at the airport apparently and then we're good so you had to take that within 72 hours so you know i had to self-administer the swab thing it was weird it was weird but yo crazy world we're living in it'll be interesting to be on a plane i haven't been on a plane for gosh it's probably been about nine months so i'm not really looking forward to that but but kim and i will we'll get we'll we'll get through it together well we uh we travel very well together even though nothing ever good happens when we travel just so you guys know so if random stuff is going to happen it always happens to us like if we're in an airport bar or restaurant and people decide that today i'm going to fight with my significant other they will do that right next to us to make it as uncomfortable as possible it's just weird i don't know we attract weird people when we travel if anybody was in disarray they're going to find their way to be around us i don't know why it just goes that way all right This is eight minutes long. It's probably eight minutes too long, but I appreciate all your support. I appreciate you guys watching, you know, week in and week out. It really does mean a lot to me. It means a lot to Justin on the 1UP Weekly. There'll be a couple videos that kind of get scattered throughout the week, so hopefully you enjoy those. And that's it. If you like this video and you're new here, give me a thumbs up. Consider subscribing to the channel, obviously. It means a lot and it helps out. And then put your comments below. You know, you're dealing with something right now that you know this maybe this video helped you i don't know whatever it is definitely put something in the comments below and don't forget to turn on notifications to be informed of other videos like this one that's it for now guys we will see you on the next one take care guys you
