This is where the magic happens for the Slapstick Pinball Podcast. I've got an ElectroVoice RE20 and a widescreen monitor that helps with the editing Are you hungry? Let's go check out the kitchen This is where my wife's magic happens It's certainly not mine In the fridge, nothing too outstanding Exciting Bon Maman jellies I don't even know if I'm saying it right but it is one of my favorites That's raspberry There's like five different kinds in here I love it. I don't know. Peanut butter and jelly. Never too good for that. Check this out. So I have a little bit of a scotch problem. This particular bottle here is a 21 year old Age from Pulteney Distillery and I took this to the special and lit Stream I did with those guys to celebrate with them one of my dearest schedules Follow me I want to show you something This is my garage this is my Volkswagen R It's a Golf R. This is my Escalera that I got from flipping out pinball and over here Slap Save Pinball ran a charity campaign called Devil With a Cause. It raised $11,000 for Carlo Glennon Children's Hospital. If you look really closely up there, you can see the arch. I'm just messing with you. And of course, the whole reason you're here is for the pinball. Thank you. So first off we've got Stern the Beatles. And one of the things I love about this game is the license was so hard to get for Stern. It's based on a classic Stern called Sea Witch. But the license, the gameplay is very early solid state feel and I love it. One of my favorites is the Hobbit, one of the best overall packages in pinball. Perfect implementation of the game. Moving on, this is a 90s Bally, one of my favorites, Indy 500. What makes this one unique is it's got an impeccable restoration job, and it's a game that I don't ever see leaving my collection. Developed back in the 90s, Monster Bash was such a hit, the Chicago Gaming Company remade it, and this is one of those. It is an LE version with the topper and all the bells and whistles. One of the best looking machines out there, in my opinion. Thank you So one of the most storied years in pinball history was 1981 and this valley was part of that Eight ball deluxe. This does not look like what you would have played in a bowling alley back then. It has been extensively restored. Next we have a classic Stern made or designed by Harry Williams. Yeah, that Harry Williams, the one from Williams Penwall. What I love about this game is it's got a really unique maze up at the top that he put in because he loved things that were different, and so do I. Great game, Flight 2000. So one of my favorite bands has always been ACDC. And this particular machine is also made by one of my favorite designers, Steve Ritchie. It's got a cannon. It's got a train. I also put on lights that synchronize with the music. It's a Lucy edition, premium version. Love it. Is your name Michael Diamond? One of the hottest titles to come out in the last handful of years is Deadpool. This is a premium edition. It's got a sense of humor. It's got great shots. It's got a metal katana on the play field. One of Stern's most iconic pinball machines of the modern era is Star Trek. It was so good they made a vaulted edition of it. Steve Ritchie again, I love this machine. This is the L.E. version. It's got everything. If pinball has a Michael Jordan it is Keith Elway He is the world greatest pinball player This was his first design Iron Maiden He is making a second one called Jurassic Park and that is on order and will be right here We'll be right back. This is what pinball looks like in the 21st century. If you're going to get a new pinball machine, chances are you're going to be looking at Stern. I get all mine through flipping out pinball. So before you leave, I'm supposed to show you my car. This is my Volkswagen Atlas. It's an 18. It is how I haul groceries, pinballs, and kids to soccer in style. Rocking the 19 or 20 inch wheels because I don't know. Got a leather interior. I don't know. It's basically an SUV. all right flipping out pinball i've had enough everybody thinks i'm weird around here anyway because my pinball machines it's time for you to get in the band and go take care Hey, what's up? What's up Pip? Hey Pippi!
