Let me see. Well, I'm in a cart here. I'm in line still on Best Buy. But I don't really care that much. They're going to be so easy to get. They're going to be stacked to the ceilings at all these retailers come June 5th. I'm not that concerned. who's in the house right now we're gonna just for a little bit this is not going to be the longest show there's gonna be a little sort of late night what's on my mind pinball wise harry potter next week i mean harry potter next week would be a good time to drop it i think especially with all these people that just ordered kong i don't think people are going to regret ordering kong i i do think people are going to regret ordering kong le right away because i do think Kong Ali is not going to be hard to get, nor will it be over $13,000 or even $13,000 for very long. Um, if I, if I were to guess, I don't know what the major mech in Potter is, but, um, I would, I think the moving staircase ramps are going to be one of the major mechs. I think, um, just going off of the, um, Films themselves, I would expect there's going to be some Quidditch upper play field with maybe with wire forms like looping around Hogwarts. Let's see. a switch and switch your games i know well you know you know it's crazy gang it's like so i'm on with my friends from uh some of my my geek friends and you know these are kids that are all having like good careers and and you know we're talking about video game prices and you're like ah you know it's 450 it's five and i'm like looking at this thing this is what pinball does to you completely desensitizes you to like what normal people spend for entertainment in the gaming realm right it's like i'm looking at the cart and it's like 480 dollars and i'm like wait like what what like what is this this is a quarter the price of a cheap plastic mandalorian topper and it's like that's the bundle with mario kart world and i'm like i can't even tell you guys This is like, I, I, this is so cheap. I don't even know like how to process being able to like, and then for people to think that's expensive, right? Like most people are complaining about Nintendo charging $80 for a game for the first time, $80 for a game. And the dumb asses in our hobby will drop $200 on a plastic sculpted, not even sculpted, probably 3d printed shooter, rod handle $200 right when millions of dollars went into R&Ding that game made by thousands of people and it's like two dudes make a 3D sculpted shooter rod handle for $200. bucks yeah it's not a wide body i know that you know i i think i don't know how you guys feel but i do feel there's a um there's a point everybody reaches where you know buy what makes you happy and all that is true but i i don't think modern pinball pricing is satisfying most people like they're just not seeing the value in these like mass-produced overpriced and yeah it's it's like because a pinball experience gang i don't i don't understand if if you buy a fifteen thousand dollar pinball machine then you better get everything and it better be one of the best things ever made you know i mean i'm looking now like it's crazy i'm seeing a lot of godfather ces go up for sale because i mean these guys now know like not only is it it i gotta be completely candid a godfather CE now, candidly, a price which will move your game is eight. No one's buying at 9,800. No one's buying at 10. No one's buying at 9,200. No, eight. Eight on the table. Eight. Nobody wants it. nobody now so if you bought godfather ce you just lost seven thousand dollars yeah i you know people forget nintendo entertainment system was two hundred dollars when it came out in 1985 You have to like I don don know man Back then that would have been like for the system So I don know If you sell Guns N Roses what are you going to replace it with? You know, it's a good question. I sigh like that because I don't want to ever have to lift another pinball machine up those stairs. But it was tantamount to suicide trying to push that GNR up those stairs. And we finally got it up the stairs, you know? So it's like i almost don't ever want to have to like i i'll happily slide i almost only want to replace it with a stern because sterns are so much lighter than jersey jack so much lighter wait who just said jjp needs to rethink no they don't they don't need to retheme the godfather layout they need to just never make a game like that again no no one's like no one's like gushing about godfather's layout or it's you know or it's gameplay you never it's just it's not it's just not worth ever revisiting anything with that game yeah i mean look it's you know i'll i'll i'll say this i'm very happy for my beautiful wife she um she's been working her ass off she just got a really nice bonus and she could go buy like a couple high-end pinball machines after taxes easily you know and i'm like so proud of her and that's the last thing she would do with that money so it's like because she's smart Guns and Roses has one of the most unbalanced scoring ever like it the problem with GNR is like it's like you don't the pathway to points is so imbalanced it doesn't even make sense to even care about the songs because once you get to like the the the album modes there were so much more points like you get if you do the chinese democracy and you do it right and you do five consecutive shots when you're in the chinese democracy mode you know shall we play a game you can get like 600 million points with one mode so there's it's like what they see the thing that sucks about gnr is they may is it it should be more about getting to sympathy for the no sympathy for the devil should be like the reason you play and there should be different ways to get there you'll like never get there with the outlane drains there's not enough extra balls there's too many multi balls but doesn't matter it's like you're just you're never you have to go through you have to start four albums go through four songs also play your encores they see what gnr did what they did wrong in gnr instead of all these multi balls what they should have done is encore should have been like a a free ball victory lap mode which by that what i mean if like if you're on you know your first ball and you get through a song and you get to encore then you shouldn't lose your ball if you drain during the encore of the song and it should just it should just let you keep going in encore but like it's just weird to me that like it just feels like you get punished for you don't even need to get to the encore then you get punished if your ball drains in encore then then you've lost your first ball like it's i don't know i just think they should have to me gnr is a game where if we if they got all the fans of that game well they had a subway in gnr and pat lawler yanked it out you know where the subway went the subway was the backstage uh so if you went up through the flippers that's where the subway was there was one there uh and then there was another one so like there was two the thing would the thing is i still think gang and i mean this like if jersey jack called together like 10 guns and roses owners and got them in a room and said hey how can we like just make this game software-wise so much more fun to play. They could do it. They could do it. They just refused to revisit it. Yeah, I think the soft plunge was a huge mistake. No doubt about it. No doubt about it. And the soft plunge, so many times it just plunges right down the middle. Right down the middle. Right down the middle. Anyway, but that's the past. You know a game is, I think, just not going to recover is Merlin's Arcade. do you hear anybody talking about Merlin's Arcade I mean I feel bad for Chris Turner because I think he just like I mean dude he showed the game like so early and then he opened up orders on it guys like it's let me see I'm trying to find the Merlin's Arcade it's all when you type in Merlin Merlin's Arcade let's see let's see i can't even find like where is um what the problem with like merlin's arcade now too is like like the terms and conditions it was like non-refundable deposit you'll get your game within two years it's like come on and the game's like nine grand there is no american pinball gang they're done like they'll come out with cuphead because of licensor agreements, and then that's it. They're never going to make another game. Cuphead is going to bomb, gang. It's going to bomb. Raise of hands, have any of you even ever played Cuphead? Who's into Cuphead in this demo? Anybody? I don't know. Not me. I've never met anybody who's ever talked to me about that game. look i get it's a good game but like it's and you want a pinball version of cuphead after playing cuphead on like the xbox you want it on uh you want to spend 10 grand on one yeah exactly so enjoy your $20 cup head and save yourself 10 grand uh it's of course gonna have the loop-de-loop here's my advice to all of you my late night advice don't buy anything until okay hold on a second let me just turn off this neo-jew so Oh I tired I need to go to bed. I got a better haircut today. You know, it's funny in this town. um barbershops and these like darians and these wealthy neighborhoods like 80 dollars like i look at this barbershop 80 for one one haircut for a man appointment only right the the pretentiousness of of a like now men are making appointments for haircuts like that so i was like brenda where'd you take Killian she's like well just just you know in South Norwalk and it's called the family barbershop or the neighborhood barbershop and it's like these amazing like Latino guys playing music like walk right in I get like the best haircut I've had in years for $30. And I could tell too, because you can tell when you get a haircut, right? Like who's actually putting in the work and who's just like, it's just lazy. Anyway, here's my advice for all of you. I would, I think there's going to be some fun games that really do come out this year, right? I still think, I kind of have an update for you guys on Back to the Future I'll give that to my Patreon subscribers though so but my thing is this if I were you and you know you don't expect to die in the next like year I think the smartest thing to do would be to wait until October of this year to make your next pinball purchase. I know that's going to require some willpower. And come October, you'll be able to get any version of these King Kongs for much less money. You'll be able to get Harry Potter CE for cheaper than 15 because they're going to make so many of them it's funny because and all the code will be done on these current games and also you'll be able to see the next game from stern and the next remastered from stern and you know if and if you make it there right because here's the thing if you make it to october and you're ready to buy you're gonna have like all these options finalized code everything you know The world's going to be your oyster. And then if nothing tickles your fancy, you'll get Beetlejuice in just a month or two, in two months. Well, I mean, there's a new Stern game every four months. So if we're looking at King Kong in April, May-ish. yeah it's always August September is the next stern I mean I hope it's Ghostbusters I don't I mean it's probably going to be Walking Dead I have I have update on Back to the Future um I'm not 100% sure of anything in this hobby. The only time I'm 100% sure of anything is if I've seen photos myself and I've heard it from the horse's mouth. Whether it's Beetlejuice or Goonies, they're both instant day one sellouts for spooky. The reason why I would wait is this. Here's why. Because has anyone bought a King Kong premium? How much is a King Kong premium out the door for a customer right now? Who can? $9,500 or $9,700? What's the street price on a Kong premium? All right. Okay. So, all right. And we all know that King Kong code won't be done until the fall, right? I guarantee you, come fall, King Kong premiums will be closer to $7,700, not $9,700. Now, what Stern is, I think, kind of trying to say they're going to do is like they're just doing one run now of Kong and that's it for a while. Like that's they're going to try to do that. so and here's what's gonna happen i think i don't look i don't think kong le's i think everyone's finally realizing that king kong le has like basically the same exact look and art package as the premium and pro so like they really messed up and not making the le like super unique looking I'm sorry like and then you know Stern's gonna come out with the official armor and other accessories To all make it look exact. I'm still in line for Nintendo switch to this is so stupid. I'm never getting it I Don't even care. I'm just closing all these windows out Let's go on pin side right now and look at Kong le if it's sold out yet King King Kong le I mean, this is not a good sign, gang. This is, like, not a... It's not a good sign. When was the last time, I mean, all of a sudden... All of a sudden, what I'm noticing is those Florida ones have been up forever. I don't know. But now more are getting added to this list. And what's going to happen next is – because remember, when they make like 932, there are a lot of distros and dealers that hold a few back. then all of a sudden they have more you know you notice that like oh we sold out of all of our allotments all that means is they bought their they're testing the market Zach does that too he holds a few back they all hold a few back and and then what happens is this oh my god like everybody like look they're gonna sell more nintendo switch twos in one day than all pinball will in the next decade right it's funny but no but you guys know like what's fun about watching the le market is this it's like when it doesn't catch fire and it's still available, then all those ones are still being held back for speculative reasons, then they all start to pop up for sale. And again, I just don't think there's enough differentiating the LE this time around. And yeah, you might as well just... Because remember, a premium is $3,300 cheaper. I mean, no-brainer. Gang, it's an all-original King Kong story. Godzilla is 100% derivative of the assets that the world has loved over the decades of King Kong. I'm sorry, Godzilla. Do you understand? there's no way in all original king kong journey is ever gonna be as hot as the jaws movie in interpret it into pinball and or translate it into pinball and in godzilla like gang i'm sorry like this code wise this game is going to be more like avengers and less like godzilla and uh and you know and jaws and i think that's why if this game had way had like king kong assets and looked a lot more like you know like i don't know but when i see the animations on king kong is a love story the anim you know his facial expressions his emotions you know the beauty in king kong and i'm not seeing really any of that in the any of the clips i saw from stern so far like it's like there's the there's the moments that that needs to balance out his fury that make the king kong story so romantic and i and when i look at the stern game it's just it's just a it's a kid's netflix kong it's not kong no but gang jaws is about the humans trying to hunt while they're being hunted right jaws is about humanity and its fear of going in the water and And it's, you know, it's desire to like conquer like the habitat that's not its own. Right. And that's Jaws isn't about the shark. It's about the humans. But King Kong OK so if you say King Kong is about the King Kong is about the relationship between Kong and Anne And that's not really happening in this game at all. Let me show you. Let's do this. And this was always my favorite scene. Hold on. because like I just let me share something with you guys just Look at the romance in this. And tell me this isn't what you'd rather have on the screen than those childlike animations. How good this would be on a pinball screen. The lighting, the atmosphere, the music. Look at that. They could have just made this movie. Just get the license for this King Kong. my point being you know John Youssi what i'm talking about though like all the you know there's this now keep keep this visual in mind right and then let's look at what we get in pinball. I get it. It's the direction they went, but it's just... We're lifting a log. Now there's a lizard. Now there's a spider. I'm so not used to this plunderous thing either.
