## Transcript

How is it going everybody? It's Bug from Spooky Pinball here and today we're going to be playing the latest greatest code on Scooby Doo here. Last time we played this on the channel it was like right as the game was coming out and it was the whole design team playing. We did our best to kind of explain all the rules to the game. Today it's just me. I'm going to try and keep it a little bit more quiet and explain the rules to the game the best I can for you and make this hopefully a pretty good entry level tutorial for Scooby do pinball here. So without further ado, I'm going to get us started here. And the game has been out for a while, so I do expect quite a few people probably already know a lot of this stuff. But this is good to just have here for anybody who's getting into the game and they want to go back and kind of learn the rules. So we're going to go ahead and get this started here. All right. So right off the bat, you can select your character. Each character from the gang is available to select. Right now, they don't really do much aside from it favors their callouts. So if I pick Shaggy, it's going to play mostly Shaggy callouts. If I pick Daphne, same thing. We are planning on adding character perks into the game, so each character will kind of do special things at various points of the game. But as for right now, you're kind of just picking your favorite character and the one you want to hear the most. I find myself on the line picking Fred and Daphne the most. I just enjoy listening to them a lot. So, I'm going to go ahead and pick Daphne. Alright, so we got skill shots here. We got the blinking red lights over here at the drop target is the skill shot. I can move it to other things here, like the orbits or the stand-up targets. I always go for the drop targets, just because. There's actually... Oh man, I don't know if I should reveal this so early on. There is a super secret skill shot in this game. If you... Well, maybe I just... I didn't get it. The super secret skill shot... There we go. We still got the skill shot. The super secret skill shot is if you can shat-sit up the left in-lane and hit that bottom-most drop target. That is the game's super secret skill shot. All right, so what are we going to do here? We can collect our white shots to start a case. To start a case, you shoot the mystery machine. We're also going to be trying to collect as many Scooby Snacks as possible, so we can stack our Scooby Snack Multiball, which is featured at the Apron Locks of the game. And also we can go for the Captain Cutler Multiball. We can also go for Mystery Machine Multiball. What I like to do, I like... I'm going to have to shoot that right scoop at some point here. So I like qualifying the Mystery Machine Ball Lock right away, and then collecting my white shots to go there. So we're going to go ahead and rip the left spinner, which increases the gas gauge, which lights your lock at the Mystery Machine. It also randomizes what mode you have selected in the center. So, we do that, we got a little bit of gas in there, we're now in the Space Coupe mode, and lock is lit? Nope, I need one more rip. Okay. Lock is lit, okay. And then we collect a white shot, and now we got a case lit at the Mystery Machine. So I'm getting a two for one here. I also collected a Scooby Snack. So, locking my first ball for Mystery Machine Multiball, which I expect to cash out later, and I'm starting my case. Creeper mode, all right. So in the creeper mode, you have your blue shots lit, and in that episode, they're passing this piece of paper that the creeper seems to be going after. So when I shoot one of these blue shots, it's going to start a timer of the creeper chasing me, and I have to get the paper to the next member of the gang before he gets me. If he gets me, I've got to spam the action button to get the paper back. This is probably so much information all at once, Alright, so let's get the first shot here, or we can totally miss. There we go. Alright, so we passed the paper to Scooby. So you'll see that up on the top playfield there, the Scooby inserts are blinking green. That's the Creeper coming after me. So I want to pass that before he gets me. So I passed it to Fred. And I believe you need... Yeah, so it says in the hourglass up on the display there, 2 out of 5. So I need to pass it a couple more times. Uh-oh. Also, you'll notice, uh, oh, if you shoot the shot that the creeper is, oh no, we drained. If you shoot the shot that the creeper is chasing you at, it'll actually set him back a level. So it gives you just a little bit more time. Something else to note here, we got the braver meter on the right side. This acts as your mode timer. So it starts all the way full and it trickles down all the way to the bottom. Once you're out of bravery, you're too scared. You can't continue on with that case. So it kicks you out. you can collect Scooby Snacks to increase your bravery. Alright, so let's go for this here. We got... So hard to play and talk. Okay, so what do we got here? We got three Scooby Snacks. So at the fourth Scooby Snack collected, it'll light one of my apron locks. So I'm going to go ahead and just shoot one of these orbits here and collect my Scooby Snack. Raised up my trapdoor in the center by collecting the dog tag targets. Okay, so either of my apron locks are lit. I can get that by shooting the left VUK behind the drop targets or the gold city mine entrance on the upper playfield. What I'm going to do is the Gold City Mine. The Gold City Mine. There we go. All right. So, ball one is locked for Scooby Snack multiball. We're also going to try and lock our second Mystery Machine ball lock, because why wouldn't we? And we also have a case lit. Secret passage? Nope. I thought it would fall in. Oh dear. There's our trapdoor helping us out. I always find left ramp and mystery machine shot easiest to backhand, like way easier to backhand. So that's exactly what we're going to do. Alright. So we're starting the witch and the zombie mode. This mode's rules are incredibly simple. Playfields divided in half, green and purple shots. You collect one side, makes you collect the other, and gets rid of the shot you previously collected. Very simple rules in this mode. I really like this mode, though. It's probably one of my favorites in the game, especially with that awesome, awesome light show intro. Alright, so we're going to go back and forth here. Now what we can also try and do is collect more Scooby Snacks and get our Scooby Snack multiball stacked with this mode. The Scooby Snack multiball is currently the only multiball in the game that stacks with everything in the game, including the other multiballs. So, that's another thing to mention. When you shoot that VUK shot, you will get another Scooby Snack for doing so. Okay, I'm going to collect that one. Alright, so our left apron is qualified. No! And they said the game was too easy. Or am I just playing bad? One of the two. All right. So we got left open, lock, lit. All right, let's go for it here. We will definitely do another game with how I am currently playing. All right. Let's try and get this Scooby Snack Multiball roll in here. Bounce, please. Thank you, sir. All right. So this is going to start our Scooby Snack Multiball, which is, like I said, stackable with everything in the game. So what I'm going to do is I'm actually going to try and stack it with the Mystery Machine Multiball. Bounce. All right. So to get mystery machine multiball we are about to have the third lock ready I got a hit the spinner to keep filling up my gas I think if I just rip that right spinner, it's gonna give it to me as I go in So that's what I'm gonna fail to do There we go, all right, so that's gonna start a mystery machine multiball This mode is nuts So, all these orbits have those character shots here. If I get all of those to the same level, that lights Super Jackpot at the Mystery Machine. Otherwise, I can fill out each level to collect a character jackpot that way. Me, personally, I always try and go for the Super Jackpot because it's super fun to go for. But with four balls going, it might just not be doable for me today. So what I might do is lock it in at the Mystery Machine. So right now, I locked... Oh, I failed. I can shoot that Shaggy shot again and collect the character jackpot, or I can lock it in at the Mystery Machine and just keep his jackpot lit forever. So I'm going to try and lock it in at the Mystery Machine so I can just have it forever. All right, there we go. So Shaggy's always lit for jackpot. You can only lock a character in at the Mystery Machine once you get to that third level. So Fred's also lit now. So we're going to try and... Oh, no, I collected him. Okay, we got to get back. We're going to get back to Fred. I should say this mode is a lot easier once you get down to about two balls unless you just really good at handling multiball Alright here we go Alright There we go Alright, Fred's locked in too. So we got Shaggy and Fred locked in. Man, I almost feel like I could have gone for the Super Jackpot. Ah! That was goofy. Alright. So now I can really cash out on those if I wanted to. But we're also going to still try and collect the rest of the characters. Like Velma. Oh no! So that's one strategy you can do for Mystery Machine Multiball. If I can start it again on the next game, I will go ahead and try the other strategy, which is for the Super Jackpots, which is my favorite one to do. I think it's just super fun. All right. What do we got lit? Captain Cutler? That's a great mode. Let's do that. Nope. Bounce? Oh my! Like I said, much easier to backhand that right scoop than forehand. There we go. Alright, Captain Cutler. You get to the upper playfield, you start bashing Captain Cutler to fill up your oxygen. Think of the upper playfield as above the water. And then when you get down to the lower playfield, you're now underwater. So bash Captain Cutler to fill up your oxygen, then collect your shots on the base playfield. And you got the duration of the bravery meter to do that. So I mentioned earlier, Scooby Snacks will add more bravery, which is essentially more time to your mode. But how do you light Scooby Snacks? You shoot the left drop targets. You'll notice the left drop targets all have Scooby Snacks on them as a decal. And also the insert is a Scooby Snack. So you knock a row of those down and that will light more Scooby Snacks. All right. Oh boy. That's a ball save on the right out lane if you hit that enough times. Thank lordy. No! Ruh-roh ball save using everything I got this mode, I guess. All right, so oxygen is... It's getting a little low. We just got to collect the left orbit here. Come on. Oh, I thought for sure I had that. Okay, so it will take the shots away if you don't have enough oxygen. So we've got to go back up there and hit more. Also, I notice my bravery is getting a little bit lower. So I definitely... Oh, I'm full. I definitely want to either get some Scooby Snacks or hurry up and beat this mode. Which my initial thoughts are just beat the mode, but we'll see how I start, you know, going. Oh, come on, I just need a bank of them Okay, Scooby Snacks are lit The shaker motor is letting me know that my bravery is low Okay, got another Scooby Snack Oh man, that was intense, okay Okay, come on now Don't do it Okay Let's just get up here. Let's hit Cutler really quick. Collect that last freaking shot. Okay, so it's yelling at me right now. It's saying, your bravery's low, your bravery's low. Left orbit. Oh, man. Don't do it. Don't fail on me. Don't die on me now! No! Gosh, dang it. Okay, left orbit got me there. So that's me running out of bravery during a mode and it saying, you're done. So, all right, well, let's keep rolling through these modes here. I want to keep, if I can, I'd like to explain them all. It's different because in Halloween, you would select your mode. So I would just show you exactly the modes I wanted to show you. But in Scooby, a little different as it's somewhat randomized. because, as I said earlier, the left spinner randomizes what mode you are on. You can lock in the mode. So, like, if I wanted to keep it, it's on Black Knight right now. If I for sure wanted Black Knight, I can hit my launch button, and that locks in the mode. I don't want Black Knight because I like to stack that with Scooby Snack Multiball because that mode is a ton of shots, and having Scooby Snack Multiball helps knock a lot of those out. So I'm gonna go ahead and try to rip the left spinner here We're gonna rip that And lock in at space kook space kooks also a lot of shots, but You know what we're getting into a groove. I shouldn't have said that I Shouldn't have said that something bad's gonna happen now how did I know all right we're definitely gonna do another game I'm just gonna take a quick real quick break and then yeah we're gonna we're gonna blow it up next game for sure I got my name up how about that all right all right so I'll be honest that first game was just me showing everybody online saying the ball times are too long the game's too easy that was just me showing you how absolutely brutal it is. Super. Definitely wasn't anything to do with how I was playing. No, no way. All right, let's do this again. Here we go. I'm going to choose Fred this time. I want to, you guys should comment in the comment section what character you choose the most and why, or like maybe why that's your favorite character, because like Shaggy's probably my favorite character, but I love picking Daphne and Fred the most for some reason, so we're gonna go with Fred. All right, what are we doing in this game. Well, we're going to collect our skill shot first. So, collecting the skill shot at the drop targets, like Scooby Snacks, all over the playfield there. We're just going to play. How about that? We're just going to play the game. Let's get our Captain Cutler multiball ready up here. With the infamous Captain Cutler song, or monster song, I should say. Oh, let's start it off right. Alright, so we're in the Captain Cutler multiball now. I got it by just bashing all of the lit shots up there twice and then the helmet. So this mode lights three jackpots at a time. You spam Captain Cutler to light more jackpots. You have 20 seconds to collect them before the wave comes across the playfield and unlights them all. Right now I'm up there. I'm trying to light as many jackpots as I can. All right, here we go. So I got a bunch lit. I've already collected one. The colors will indicate what level of jackpot you're at, red being the super. All right, that's two super jackpots. Can we get a third? Can we get a third? No, the wave Alright, well, oh no, I should have kept that up there Here we go, alright, up there you go Light as much as I can, wasn't too much, but it was something Keep it up there, come on Oh, we got a Scooby Snack ball locked on the apron there, that's very helpful See, I did that completely, I didn't even know I was going for that and I got it now locked on there, and it's so helpful because the next mode I'm looking at, I'm definitely going to want to use that. So that's great. Super happy. I actually want to be careful that I don't start Scooby Snack Multiball during this. You totally can if you want to blow up the Multiball. I mean, they're stackable. Go for it. But I want to save that Scooby Snack Multiball for something a little tougher like the Black Knight mode or Space Kook. All right. So that was Captain Cutler mode. Got some super jackpots there. That was fun. Alright, we got Mystery Lit. We need one more Scooby Snack, and then we got that lit too, so... Let's see what we can do. I don't want to do the Captain Cutler mode again, because we just did that last game. So, I've mentioned it a couple times. You have to complete the bank of drop targets to light Scooby Snacks. I always find myself getting all of them but the last two targets possible. because that's how I roll. All right. I'm also going to just hit that and grab. You do not. So I should say, I want Scooby Snack Multiball for various modes. The minor mode is the last mode you want Scooby Snack Multiball for. You do not want it for that mode because it's a safe cracking mode that resets you if you hit the wrong shot. And in Multiball, very easy to do that. So we are not going to do minor mode with that. We want Space Coup. There we are. All right. So, I'm going to go ahead and start the mode, and then I'm going to make my way to the upper playfield and start Scooby Snack Multiball. I say oh so confidently like nothing could possibly go wrong. Alright, let's do this thing. I shouldn't skip the intros. I probably definitely skipped mode intros before this, didn't I? Shame. The urge to do the yell. Alright, let's get up here and let's start Scooby Snack Multiball. Oh! Come on now. What do you got for me? Oh, come on now. Close. Tougher shot than it would seem Right on Alright Scooby Snack Multiball is starting Great thing about Scooby Snack Multiball is it lights Scooby Snacks across the playfield which is basically a It's going to add my bravery the whole time I'm playing this mode. So I'm essentially playing without a timer right now, assuming I still hit shots, which I better. All right, yes, making great progress now. We got three shots left. Yeah, three Space Kook shots left. If I hit the spinners, it'll rotate those around. Please tell me I still have ball save. Please? No? Oh. Well, it did get us halfway through the mode, and our timer's still full, which is awesome. These shots that are left are super hard, so I'm going to rotate those. All right. So we got the left orbit, two upper playfield shots. Whenever it's at the airfield shot on the upper playfield, it's worth extra points because that is kind of the space kook shot on the layout. Alright, give me that. Alright. Give me that. Oh yeah! One more. Uh-oh. Timer. Timer on the shot. I should say, yeah, the Space Cook shots have a timer much like the Captain Cutler mode, where after a certain amount of time you gotta rip the spinners to light them again. Uh, get me an easier one, please. Are you gonna keep me up there? Right orbit? That was very bold. Easier shot, right orbit. Come on. Where are we now? Oh, it put me back up there. Alright. Here we go. We can hit that, right? Woohoo! Alright. During the phase of the unmasking, you have the opportunity to go and collect more points elsewhere on the playfield by shooting the other lit shots. With how I've been playing today, we might just go for the unmasking right now and try and do that. So, let's unmask him. Got it. He was trying to scare everyone off to pick up the land for cheap. And yes, I do now know all of the Scooby-Doo Villains' actual character names, too. Okie dokie. Let's keep this rolling. What do we want next? Well, I'd like to... Let's get a ball locked at the Mystery Machine again, and then we'll do another case, and then I really want to do Mystery Machine Multiball on its own without the Scooby Snack multiball so that I can try and get the super jackpot. I mean, you can still try to get it with a Scooby Snack multiball going, too. It's just harder because it's four balls that you're trying to... It's hard because to get that super jackpot, you're trying to keep certain shots from being hit after you've collected them, so hard to do that with four balls. There we go. I needed one more spin on that. All right. Black Knight. Oh, boy. Might want more Scooby Snacks first. It's a ball lock. All right, here we go. Another mystery. All righty. Black Knight. We went over this in the first video, actually. It was pretty popular mode. You're going to have your red shots. It's much like dipping a paintbrush into paint. You're going to dip it in. You're going to paint all your shots red, essentially. So you're going back and forth between red and white shots, as the light show here is telling you. So he says, shoot the sling on the upper playfield. But you can also shoot the drop targets down here. And it'll do the same thing. A little secret. So when your white shots are lit, I highly recommend shooting the easiest shot in the game that you can, which for me is the center ramp, because when you need to relight or like redip your paintbrush essentially in the red shots, it's best to have it at a shot you know you can hit. Oh my lord, that was scary. All right, let's take care of some of these upper plate kill shots, as they are quite hard. Well, I shouldn't say that. Two of them are pretty easy. Black Knight shot can give me some trouble sometimes. All right, our bravery meter is already kind of ticking its way down here, so we're going to be fighting that, I can tell. This is why Scooby Snack Multiball is great for this mode, because we would have two balls going, collecting a ton more shots. Oh, my gosh. Hit something, man. Ah! There we go. There we go. Alright. Oh, man. No. That's okay. That's okay. How out of alignment am I? No, we're still okay. Alright. Don't have too many shots left. Kinda. Alright. Oh, please. Ooh. That whole left out lane area is very, very scary. Oh, we do have Scooby Snack multiball. Ah! Naturally. Alright. Not too shabby. I just had to get the warm-up game in. Oh, we got Scooby Snack multiball. Let's stack that with Charlie. Yeah, let's do that. Please don't rain. Here we go. All right. Easy. When will he learn? When will he learn? All right. Here we go. All right. No! No! I even stopped talking so I could focus. Oh man. Alright, well. Oh, I got Switch and Zombie again. And then we got Mystery Machine Multiball like this close. So we're going to do that next for sure. I love this song. It's probably my favorite song in the game. Such a good intro. All of it. I love it all. It's all great. Alright, here we go. One after the other. We're not going to miss a single thing. Once I hit the first one. Alright, here we go. The next animation, or clip up here, is my favorite one in the entire game, actually. I just find it... The funniest thing in the show to me is Scooby being angry. I don't know why. Alright. Scram! Oh, and then I cut it off when I hit the next one. Goober. There we are. And there, we got left orbit, which surely is not going to give me any trouble. In, I believe, all the modes, if you shoot the left VUK during the mode, it's kind of a secret hidden jackpot. So in this case, it's them playing poker at the poker table in that episode. You get the jackpot for that. All right, here we go. Bounce. Thank you. All right, this one, so I talked about these bonus shots you hit earlier. Oh, come on, please. Oh, this roaming purple shot will give me more points and add a lot to my unmasking bonus. Where's it gonna go? Where's it gonna go? Oh, easy! There we go. So that's one. All right, I'm gonna take that one and run with it because I only got a few seconds left here. Yes! Yes! The guy on the right looks so much like a dude that is in the tournament circuit that I do, Cody, you know who you are? I need to get out to a tournament again soon. Alright. Alright, let's do a Mystery Machine multiball. Looks like I gotta fill up my gas gauge a bit. Dang it. Front row. Front row ball save. Alright let just be safe and make sure it lit Be safe immediately Drains There we are Oh, boy. Behave. Okay. All right. Mystery Machine Multiball, we're gonna... Oh, don't say that. No, say it. We're gonna get the Super Jackpot. We're gonna get it. I've only done it... probably four or five times total, which maybe that sounds like a lot, but I literally play this every day, so. I love the intro here. Awesome colors. Here we go. All right, let's go for the hard ones first. The easy ones always kind of happen, so upper playfields first would be a good idea, and we're going to try and get them each at just one. I don't think we're going to try and get them all to two or anything like that. Although one time I did it getting them all to three. Very stressful, but worth it. You can get it. Come on. Alright. No big deal if Fred's at two. He's pretty easy to go back and get. We got a Scooby Snack Ball lock. Alright, there's Daphne. Alright. We need Velma very badly. That's a fact. I'm getting nervous, guys. Oh my gosh. Oh, this is a nice fix. It used to play the theme song with the vocals every single time, which kind of got old if you're crazy good at pinball and play forever in this mode, so now it goes to an instrumental version after. Can we hit Velma from here? Oh dear. Oh dear. Here we go. Alright. There it is. Alright. Good lord. Okay, this is really good now. No! I thought I still had that up! No! No! I thought I still had the drop target up. Owie. If only this were an adult theme, so I could use adult words to describe how I feel. That's okay. We're gonna get it. We're gonna get it someday. It might not be today. It's probably not gonna be today. I could just try and go back for it. No, we should keep playing other modes. Keep it interesting. No, we don't want that one. A lot of times what you can do if you're trying to get a different mode is just rip that spinner and then just hit the launch button at a random point and see what you get. Yeah, minor mode. This would be fun. Yeah, let's go for that. All right. Lit? Lit? Alright, let's go ahead and start this up. Miner mode, safe cracking mode essentially. So you're going to have four white shots lit. You have to figure out the sequence of the correct shots. So green shots are correct, red shots are wrong. If you hit a red shot, it sends you back to the beginning of the sequence. If you're trying to figure out a safe way to figure out where the green shots are, the targets next to the shots reveal it. And I believe also if you shoot the orbit the other way, it reveals it too. And then we got some other shots in the upper play field, which are kind of just bonus. So first shot, you can just kind of shoot for whatever. It doesn't really matter. You're not going to ruin your sequence by shooting these shots. So we know it's the right inner orbit. There we go. It doesn't hurt anything to reshoot your shot either. You can shoot your green shot again. See, we didn't want to do that. We know it's not the left ramp now, though. So a couple things we can do. We can try and hit a target to reveal, or we can just take the gamble. We took the gamble and got it right. So we're down between those two shots. Okay, well, that was an accidental success. All right, we know where it is. And the other great thing is once it's on the last shot You can't shoot a red shot to reset yourself You're just racing against the clock of the bravery meter now Which is draining But we're going to go ahead and grab that And away we go to the unmasking I could go for the upper playfield stuff But not today, sir Shaker motor is feisty Oh my Okay, here it is. Oh, man. What are you doing, sir? Oh, my gosh, no. I just had to make it exciting for the video. Hank. Hank. Yes, Hank. The guy that's dressed up like the minor 49er at the start of the episode is the minor 49er at the end of the episode. Okie dokie then. You know what? You know what? We're going to get Mystery Machine Multiball again, and we're going to get that Super Jackpot. That's what we're going to do. Alright. Spinner. Probably one more really good hit here. And we should get that. Oh, boy. Ah, don't do that. All right. Maybe we should just grab Scooby Snack multiball and see how crazy we can get it and go for that super jackpot. Come on now, give it back. Give it back. Bummer. All right. Yeah, let's go for it. Let's get it. Mystery Machine Multiball Time. Keep your face in camera. Mystery Machine Multiball Time. There we go. Much better. Good job. Right. Let's go. Here it is. Alright. Let's get the hard ones first. Or none of them first. Oh, come on. There's Daphne, right? Yes. Great. Trying to get Velma over there. There it is. Not the worst thing in the world to drain that. Oh boy, that... I forgot about how that times out when you got a ball already locked in there. Scary. Alright, best thing to do now would be to go for Scooby up top. We gotta separate here somehow. I need to get better at the separation during multiball. Okay, okay, bounce on over. Nudge up there, yes, that's what we want. Okay, well, you know. There it is, there it is. It doesn't particularly matter, I don't think, if we start Scooby Snack, but it is just easier with two, so... There's Scoopy. We tried. We're going to get it one of these games. My word. Alright. Well, that was quite a bit of what I could show you for some deeper... I can't even speak right now. No. Name up again. Woohoo! Alright. Well, I really appreciate you guys joining me for the ride here. The quest for Super Jackpot and Mystery Machine Multiball is probably going to be an ongoing thing that we're going to fight for a while. I had my battles in Halloween as well of things I just was dying to get on camera. It's always harder once the camera's on, I swear. You have to believe me. I'm way better off camera. Way better. So, but I really appreciate all the support and amazing things you guys are doing out there for this game. I love seeing all the mods. I love seeing all the videos people are putting out. I love all the positivity. It's seriously, it's so awesome. So, thank you guys so much. Next code update, we're going to be having the Find Velma's Glasses mode into the game. So, we're going to start knocking out all those character modes. So, you should, yeah, you should just see all the characters coming next. Starting off with Velma, find her glasses. Just feels like the best one to start with. Really excited for that mode. So, seriously, again, I appreciate all the love and support, guys. And we will see you in the next one. That was a good finish, wasn't it? Nice.
